And the brand-new Oprah Winfrey diet outrage. Tonight, the diet claims that have made Oprah Winfrey furious. But why is Oprah so angry? And is she doing the right thing? Or could it backfire on her? Tonight, the great Oprah diet outrage.

Tonight, the scandal that is rocking the country. Michelle Obama`s shorts-gate. Just when you thought this had all been settled, there was brand new coast-to-coast outrage today over first lady Michelle Obama having the nerve, the gall, to wear shorts in public.
What is this country coming to? Is there no hope? Shorts in public on a hot day. It`s all making big news right now.

(voice-over): It`s a political controversy straight out of a Nair commercial - Michelle Obama under fire for daring to wear not-so-short shorts.
DAPHNE BROGDON, COMEDIENNE/TV HOST: If you dare wear short-shorts, Michelle wear short-shorts.
DIAZ: Yes. While President Obama is dealing with the budget deficit, Michelle Obama is making headlines for this fabric deficit, sporting shorts during first family`s recent trip to the Grand Canyon.
BROGDON: As Shakespeare would say, it`s much ado over thighs.
DIAZ: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you it`s the political talk of the summer, Michelle Obama in shorts-gate, 2009.
BROGDON: Shorts-gate is such a big deal that Woodward and Bernstein are going to routine just to find out, was it a poly-cotton blend or rayon?
DIAZ: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT sets the record straight. The shorts in question weren`t exactly Daisy Dukes. They were thigh-length shorts, worn on a day when the temperature topped 100 degrees.
BROGDON: Was she wearing a short-shorts with big hooker platforms? No. They are mom shorts, OK, people, all right? They`re not stripper-girl shorts, all right? They`re mom shorts.
DIAZ: Still, the first lady`s shorts have everyone buzzing, both online and on TV.
MATT LAUER, CO-HOST, THE "TODAY" SHOW: It`s amazing how many people have been talking about this.
DIAZ: This morning on NBC`s "Today" show, viewers nearly blew up the servers responding to an online poll on shorts-gate. Matt Lauer announced the results this morning.
LAUER: Some people thought it was inappropriate because she was photographed coming off of Air Force One, the presidential plane. Other people thought it was OK. We received one of our largest responses ever. Nearly 300,000 of you voted in our poll. And here go the results - 17 percent said the shorts were inappropriate; 83 percent said it`s fine and dandy.
DIAZ: But even though a vast majority appear to be backing Michelle Obama in shorts-gate 2009, a lot of people have a big problem with it.
BROGDON: The haters are saying that a first lady needs to have a certain decorum, you know. They basically want to see her dress like Mamie Eisenhower.
DIAZ: But TV host and comedienne Daphne Brogdon tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT there may even be a dash of politics involved in shorts-gate.
BROGDON: It`s all part of the birther controversy. Now, there`s a group called the shorters. They don`t even think those legs are really Michelle Obama`s.
DIAZ: Of course, this is not the first time Michelle Obama has touched off a fashion uproar for flashing bare limbs. Her penchant for going sleeveless at formal events like the inaugural ball or state of the union address also made headlines.
BROGDON: Michelle`s not going to be put out to pasture. She`s not going to be wearing big pleated mom pants. She leaves that up to her husband.
DIAZ: Yes, the baggy jeans President Obama wore to the all-star game got him some headlines too, but nothing like any other fashion flaks Michelle Obama has faced, which leads us to wonder, is it unfair that women face such fashion scrutiny?
BROGDON: Women are always held to a higher standard for appearance.
DIAZ: Or maybe it just goes with the territory of being a fashion icon like Michelle Obama. So the lesson of shorts-gate 2009 may be a simple one, one found in that old Nair commercial.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: If you dare wear short-shorts.
DIAZ: Then be ready for the consequences.

DIAZ: Michelle`s shorts-gate `09, the polls, the debates, the outrage. OMG. And our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT viewers are knee-deep in the shorts drama as well.
With me now, in Hollywood, wearing shorts, Lisa Bloom - she`s a legal analyst for CNN. And in New York, also wearing shorts, Midwin Charles - she`s an attorney and runs Midwin Charles and Associates.
I`ve got to tell you, Michelle`s legs have a lot of people`s shorts in a bunch, guys, from coast to coast. Some say it`s not the shorts per se, but the fact that she got off Air Force One and it was kind of unladylike.
Well, the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall lit up today over this. Here`s what Brooke S. writes, "Michelle Obama is no longer any average wife and mother. She is the first lady and she needs to act and dress accordingly."
Lisa, is it just totally sexist to think that the first lady of the United States in the 21st century should never wear shorts in public?
LISA BLOOM, CNN LEGAL ANALYST: I don`t know what country Brooke S. lives in. But here in America, in August, it`s hot. And she`s going on vacation for goodness sake. I mean, what is she supposed to wear, petticoats and a hoop skirt? A burqa?
I mean, come on. They`re going to the Grand Canyon. Her daughters wearing shorts as well. Give it a rest. I mean, this is August, it`s hot. I think this is much ado about nothing.
DIAZ: We were getting it from all ends, by the way, on our Facebook page. And the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines blew up. Diana from Indiana called in to "Showbiz on Call" in support of Michelle, kind of.

CALLER: Hey, what`s the problem? It`s hot out. She was on vacation. Hey, we didn`t elect her, we elected him. Let him wear the suit. Let her wear the mommy outfit, OK? Although I`ve got to admit those legs and those hips didn`t do those shorts any justice.

DIAZ: Whoa, Diana, come on. Not much Hoosier hospitality there. Midwin, do you think one of the reasons there is such an outrage is because Michelle just looks really like a fashion don`t in what some people are calling mom shorts?
MIDWIN CHARLES, ATTORNEY, MIDWIN CHARLES AND ASSOCIATES: I`m not quite sure what to make of it. Part of it, I feel, is - you know what? It`s a slow news cycle. It`s August and people have nothing better to talk about. I really think that that`s what this is about. I mean, it makes absolutely no sense. Is she supposed to go to the Grand Canyon in Christian Louboutin heels and an Oscar de la Renta dress? It just makes no sense, Carlos.
DIAZ: So used to.
BLOOM: Yes. But Carlos, I have to respond to that in just a second.
DIAZ: All right. Go ahead.
BLOOM: . because I think they`re upset because she doesn`t look like these skinny white models that we`re used to seeing in shorts. She`s a healthy woman, you know. She`s a little bit bigger than the rest of us. She`s taller. She`s bigger. But she`s healthy and strong. Maybe that`s what people are a little bit uncomfortable with.
DIAZ: And Midwin, I don`t want to gang up on you, but I don`t like you questioning our journalistic integrity here by saying that this is a slow news day. This is hard news we`re doing, all right?
Now, we have to remember Michelle Obama is 45 years old and she looks great. She does. Now, Shauntel dialed up in to "Showbiz on Call" phone line to give a piece of her mind to all the haters.

CALLER: So many people are just so jealous because they don`t have sexy legs like her. Maybe they should just get over themselves. She is a human being. She is entitled to wear shorts. Oh, my goodness. What`s the big deal?

DIAZ: All right. Wait, we`ve got Lisa`s opinion on what she thinks about how hot the first lady is. I want to get Midwin on this one. Midwin, do you think people have a problem with a hot first lady?
CHARLES: They do. They really don`t know what to do with themselves because we all know there were prior first ladies that no one wanted to see in shorts and no one wanted to see their bare arms. And I think that`s what she got going on hear. She`s hot. She`s fabulous and some people just can`t take it.
DIAZ: I would have to agree with you, she is hot. Now, tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that in the middle of shorts-gate, there`s breaking Michelle fashion news. Parade.com released its pop culture poll today and named Michelle Obama the nation`s biggest trendsetter beating out the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker and Victoria Beckham.
Now, Midwin, this poll was pre-shorts-gate. But since Michelle is now officially a trendsetter, do you think sales of shorts are going to go through the roof just like the sleeveless dresses?
CHARLES: They just might. I mean, she`s been able to crash Web sites such as J. Crew when she`s worn J. Crew skirts and her daughters have donned J. Crew coats at the inauguration. So shorts will probably go off, you know, the charts.
BLOOM: But maybe not this particular outfit.
DIAZ: Now, Lisa.
CHARLES: You know what? Some people find those shorts cute, Lisa.
DIAZ: We have 20 seconds, Lisa. Lisa, answer the question, do you own a pair of mom shorts, Lisa? Answer the question.
BLOOM: Hey, of course not. Are you kidding me? I live in L.A. I live in Hollywood, my friend.
DIAZ: All right. Just want to make sure. Lisa Bloom, Midwin Charles, thank you guys so much.
You know, it`s one thing to mess with Michelle Obama and it`s another thing if you mess with Oprah Winfrey. Tonight, Oprah is absolutely furious about some unbelievable new diet claims.
Tonight, Oprah is firing back and taking no prisoners. But is she doing the right thing or will it backfire? Tonight, Oprah`s furor over the great Oprah diet outrage.

DIAZ: Celine Dion is pregnant again, and I can tell you it took more than the power of love. It took an 8-year-old frozen embryo. According to People.com, Dion, who is 41, had her embryos frozen in 2001 when she conceived her first child, Rene Charles, through in-vitro fertilization.
Now, for those of you that think that this sounds like a titanic mistake, Dion`s doctor says freezing embryos for eight years or more is not really that unusual. He also says Dion is ecstatic about that pregnancy and that`s the way it is.

Now, did you see this? An anchor takes a licking on live television, loving licks that came from an overly friendly dog. The puckering pooch decided that a new news cast was the perfect time to show his affection for the anchor. And they call it "puppy love."

MOOS: Ginger the up for adoption pit bull. Make that kiss bull.
NEILL: Ginger just loves people. I love Ginger.

MOOS: Ginger is removing the makeup from Randene Neill, who co-anchors Global B.C. New News in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
NEILL: We need a wee bit of training.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes? Really, you think?
NEILL: And is she spayed because.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: She`s spayed - ouch! Be nice. Stop that. That`s so not good.

MOOS: Better to be kissed by a pit bull than clawed by a cat as this Fox 8 news reporter in Cleveland was.

MOOS: The cat didn`t get ginger`s tongue, the anchor did.

MOOS (on camera): All that licking didn`t deter folks. The show did get hundreds of calls from people interested in adopting Ginger.
(voice-over): And an adoption was actually arranged but later fell through, so Ginger is still available if you like your kisses wet. Getting a shower like this, no wonder the anchor called for the weather woman.
NEILL: Oh, stop it. Stop it!
MOOS: Rear ended to boot. Sports anchor wondered if Randene`s husband got as much face time.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Does your husband even get that much face time?
NEILL: Really.
MOOS (on camera): You know, it`s hard to watch anchor Randene Neill without thinking of a watch.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
NEILL: I`ve been loved by Ginger. Ginger loves me.
MOOS: And none too gingerly.
NEILL: I love you, Ginger.
DIAZ: Hi, I`m sorry. We`re back right now. That was Jeanne Moos from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. And this is Derek. And of course, we`re kind of trying a little thing here to see if Derek will go for a treat. Derek, come here real quick. Derek, Derek. Sorry. I got it. No, I got it.

ALICIA KEYS, MUSICIAN: She was just kind of chosen to have a voice that would speak to people. And so that`s what she means to me. She means like this woman that has been with me since I was a young girl, and has shown me what it feels like to dream.
She`s very determined. I saw that she also has a beautiful vulnerability, too. I feel really excited for her. And as a fan of hers, I feel very excited for us. Because I feel that she really is ready to come into the world and show us what we`ve been missing.

DIAZ: Whitney`s album, "I Look to You," comes out August 31st.
Tonight, did Michael Jackson shoot a reality show with his brothers before he died? Well, no. But Jackson`s brothers did shoot a one-hour reality pilot for A&E before Michael`s untimely death. Michael was reportedly asked to come on the show and reunite with them but he never did.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reached out to A & E and the network says it will air the one-hour special but there is no plan for a reality series about the Jackson brothers.
The SHOWBIZ Facebook page is all fired up about Jon Gosselin and whether or not he should be fired from "Jon & Kate Plus 8."
Kathy C. says Jon does deserve to get fired. She writes, "Fired? He looks like he is fired up on dating all the girls he can get, so why not? We don`t want to see his dirty laundry air. No wonder Kate had to be hard on him. He needs to grow up and realize his kids are taking all this in."
But Tammy F. disagrees. She writes, "No, I don`t think he should be fired. I feel sorry for him and Kate. It`s hard enough to get divorced, but to get divorced on TV, wow. Everyone needs to back off and leave the guy alone. They both seem like great parents."

Tonight, the incredible Oprah Winfrey diet outrage. The queen of talk is on a warpath over diet claims using her name. Oprah Winfrey is absolutely furious. She just filed a brand-new lawsuit alleging marketers are using her name and face to push their products without her permission.
And Oprah is not waging her battle alone. She`s filed a lawsuit with her good friend Dr. Mehmet Oz, who spoke out this morning on ABC`s "Good Morning America."

DR. MEHMET OZ, CARDIOTHORACIC SURGEON AND FRIEND OF OPRAH WINFREY: It`s been very hurtful because many Americans have seen images of me and Oprah and others supporting, it would appear, products that actually don`t work in the ways that are described.

DIAZ: But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask the question, is Oprah doing the right thing or could this backfire on her?
Also right now that`s new, Elizabeth Edwards` brand new and startling confession about her husband, disgraced presidential candidate John Edwards. Wait until you hear why Elizabeth says she`d like to see a DNA test taken to determine if he is the father of his former mistress` baby. And we`ve got her dramatic revelations about her battle with breast cancer.
Joining me tonight from Hollywood, Lisa Bloom, who is a CNN legal analyst. And in New York, Midwin Charles, who is an attorney for the law firm Midwin Charles and Associates.
This is extraordinary, guys. Oprah Winfrey filing a lawsuit against Internet companies who are using her name to sell dietary supplements. Lisa, this has been going on for years. Are you surprised Oprah is taking it this far now?
BLOOM: No, she`s got the right to protect herself, her reputation, her recommendations. She`s all about living your best life, being healthy. And how dare they use her name to promote a product that she doesn`t endorse. She should be going after them. She`s going to win. I think they`re crazy for even fighting her on this.
DIAZ: Well, in a brand-new statement today, Oprah`s attorney tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT why Oprah and her company, Harpo, and Dr. Oz, filed the lawsuit saying, quote, "Harpo Incorporated has filed this lawsuit to let consumers know that these Internet marketers are willfully using the names of well- known figures to deceive the public. Neither Ms. Winfrey nor Dr. Oz has sponsored or endorsed any acai, resveratrol or dietary supplement product and cannot vouch for their safety or effectiveness. It is our intention to put an end to these companies` false claims and increasingly deceptive practices."
And get this, the Chicago, Illinois attorney general also filed consumer fraud lawsuits against some of the companies. Midwin, this has got to be one of those things where these companies are running scared. You`re an attorney. Do you think Oprah can win this?
CHARLES: Of course, she can win it. I mean, one of the most important things that she`s doing here also is preventing future lawsuits against her, right? Because if consumers take this product and it doesn`t work or they fall ill, they can sue her for endorsing it.
So she`s doing the right thing by stepping in. And the fact that the attorney general has sued as well is excellent because you have a third person, an independent person suing for the same exact issue.
DIAZ: Well, Dr. Oz had more to say this morning about this lawsuit. He tells ABC`s "Good Morning America" why he and Oprah are fighting back.

OZ: It`s been very hurtful because many Americans have seen images of me and Oprah and others supporting, it would appear, products that actually don`t work in the ways that are described.
And more importantly, when consumers trusting us try to buy these products over the Web, what they end up getting are fake products that don`t really have what`s promised in them. They`re often duped to paying more than they should. I can state quite clearly that if you see my picture next to something that`s being sold as a supplement, I did not endorse it.

DIAZ: Dr. Oz is being very clear with his message and Oprah is as well with this lawsuit. But Lisa, by bringing so much attention to these companies, could this backfire and even give them more publicity?
BLOOM: I doubt it. I mean, it`s getting out there very clearly now that neither Dr. Oz nor Oprah endorses these products. And by the way, Dr. Oz is about to launch a new show this fall that Oprah`s backing.
And so he wants the record to be completely clear and clean that he`s not endorsing this stuff. Don`t associate him with it. He wants to start off on the right foot, I think, with his new show.
DIAZ: Well, let`s move on to another big story that`s making news right now. Elizabeth Edwards` startling confession about her husband John Edwards` alleged love child with his former mistress, Rielle Hunter.
In a brand-new interview at CNN`s "LARRY KING," she reveals what she thinks about John taking a DNA test to prove if he is the father of his mistress`s baby. And she sets the record straight about the state of their marriage. Watch this.

ELIZABETH EDWARDS, WIFE OF FORMER SEN. JOHN EDWARDS: Things are going fine. We`re getting the children ready for a new school year. Everything seems to be going pretty smoothly at my house. But thanks for asking.
KING: And the continued questions about the paternity factor - is there any solution there, a DNA test? Do you know if anything is going to happen?
E. EDWARDS: My expectation is at some point, something happens. I hope for the sake of this child that it happens, you know, in a quiet way.

DIAZ: Things are going fine? Smoothly? Midwin, are you surprised that Elizabeth actually sounds like she is pushing for a DNA test?
CHARLES: I`m not surprised. I mean, at the end of the day, this woman has been through a tumultuous time with what happened with her philandering husband. You know, let`s not even be, you know, short here. But I`m not surprised at the end of the day she just wants to know. And I think a lot of people want to know, but she has a right to know. So, not surprised.
DIAZ: Are you surprised - Lisa, do you think it`s even possible at this point for a DNA test to be taken and the results kept private?
BLOOM: No, can`t be kept private. But you notice that Elizabeth Edwards - she used to call the baby an "it" in her earlier round of interviews. Now, she calls it "this child." You know, she still can`t really face the fact that there is a human being that might be her husband`s daughter, this actual person, a little baby.
You know, I really feel sorry for her and what her husband has put her through. But I also would like to see that she`s out there debating healthcare policy now, so she`s assuming a more public role on a political thing that`s completely separate from all this personal nonsense her husband has gotten her into.
DIAZ: Well, let`s get to the emotions of this, Lisa. What makes this thing even more heartbreaking is that John cheated on her as he knew that she was dying of cancer. He knew this. Elizabeth revealed to Larry King how her battle is going and how much her health is doing. Watch this.

E. EDWARDS: Pretty good. I`m still here fighting.
KING: You`re stage four, though, right?
E. EDWARDS: Yes. You know, the numbers don`t look that optimistic. But I feel good, and I`ve had recent tests that show me to be in pretty good health, all things considered.

DIAZ: Midwin, I would have to think women everywhere are looking at Elizabeth Edwards in awe. I mean, she`s dying of cancer. Her husband is a dirty cheat, and she`s still out there fighting for health care and in the public eye.
CHARLES: She`s fighting for health care, and she`s not just laying back and taking it. She`s using the fact that, you know, her own life has been affected in terms of health care. And she`s talking about it and she`s stoic and she`s respectful. She doesn`t come off as a bitter woman or a jaded woman. She ought to be applauded for that.
DIAZ: Lisa, do you think John Edwards wants this to go somewhere right now and hide and not show his face?
BLOOM: I`m sure he does. But look, he has to accept the fact that Elizabeth is a public figure. She chose to write a book that`s very embarrassing to him. She chooses to be out there in the healthcare debate now in a way that, frankly, he can`t.
He`s completely discredited. He`s off the radar screen. No one wants him on their shows anymore. He`s the laughing stock. She`s the one that`s emerged with a lot of dignity and intelligence. And I hope she`s around for a long time to come.
DIAZ: One-word answer for me, you guys. Do you, if you`re married to John Edwards, do you leave him?
BLOOM: Oh, absolutely - yesterday.
DIAZ: Midwin?
CHARLES: Quickly, yes.

"American Idol" fans who were hoping Paula might just get to go back to the show, sorry. Tonight, we have the inside story on what Paula is really working on and why another stint on "Idol" probably will not happen.
And a movie star explodes on the set.

Plus, should Jon Gosselin be fired from "Jon & Kate Plus 8"? The results are in from our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day and you will not believe it.
Joining me tonight in New York, John Fugelsang, who is an actor and a comedian. And tonight in Hollywood, Kim Serafin, who is the senior editor for "In Touch Weekly" and a dog lover.
We start tonight with Paula Abdul. Sorry, guys, she`s probably not returning to "American Idol." I`ve got to let you - let`s sink it in for a second, OK? Just kind of soak that up.
Tonight, Paula`s manager speaks out for the very first time with "The L.A. Times" and says, "No, don`t believe the buzz. Paula isn`t talking with Fox and isn`t planning on going back." Kim, her fans were holding out hope. Do you believe it`s over and there is no hope Paula will come back?
KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": That`s what her manager is saying. But he also said never count anything out. And I think it`s interesting that that was thrown in there with the fact that she feels fabulous. She feels free. She might be an executive producer. She`s working out on all these other things.
But never count anything out. So I am not counting anything out. Look, I don`t know if Paula expected them to bring in people like Joe Jonas to sub for her and Kelly Clarkson and Victoria Beckham. Maybe she was expecting an `80s has-been pop star to kind of fill in.
But they`re getting good people to get in there. And look, "American Idol" is the number one show on TV. I still am holding out hope. I`m a big fan. I hope they work things out.
DIAZ: I think they`re going to get her back. I honestly do. But Paula`s manager says she`s always open to talking with "Idol" in the future. But some say she was playing chicken with her negotiations with Fox and her bluffing backfired. John, could that really be what`s happening here?
JOHN FUGELSANG, ACTOR AND COMEDIAN: That`s exactly what happened here. They`ve been saying that the doors are open for a long time. But today, her manager revealed there have been no talks with Fox whatsoever.
Now, I applaud Paula because now she has more time to pursue her passion, keeping prescription drugs out of the hands of young people. But it all depends on what she`s going to do. She has a great opportunity before her right now. She`s got enough money to last the rest of her life.
She can decide - does she want to be an artist or does she want to be a celebrity. I hope she goes back, because I enjoy seeing someone who lip- synchs her concerts critiquing the singing of others.
DIAZ: Well, Paul`s manager tells the "L.A. Times," quote, "She loves `Idol.` She feels she was a large part of the reason it is what it is. I can tell you her focus right now is speaking to all the networks. The only one we haven`t talked to because of recent events is Fox."
That makes sense. The bottom line is, Paula was supposed to appear at "Ugly Betty," that got nixed. Then she was going to be at "Dancing with the Stars," but that never happened. I mean, come on, John, what exactly could Paula be negotiating with other networks here?
FUGELSANG: I don`t know. I mean, the good news for Paula is that Howard K. Stern is single, if you know what I`m saying. And normally, when one has a prescription drug problem, they don`t get dropped from reality shows. They get cast on reality shows.
DIAZ: Can you say "allegedly" at some point in your (INAUDIBLE)? Allegedly.
FUGELSANG: Allegedly. But here`s the best stake Paula is going for. Posh Spice will be filling in. Now, Posh is the fifth best singer in the history of the Spice Girls. Having Posh Spice critique your singing is like parenting tips from Ryan O`Neal. They will really want to get Paula back as soon as they can.
DIAZ: Allegedly. Allegedly.
FUGELSANG: Allegedly. Of course allegedly.
SERAFIN: I have to say.
DIAZ: Yes.
SERAFIN: Simon Cowell did say some nice things about Paula. He said that she`s TV gold. He said that she was the heart of the show and without that, it`s a totally different show. So when you see these cast members, fellow judges coming to her defense - I don`t know. I think the door may still be open.
DIAZ: Great.
FUGELSANG: If you`re looking for somebody to be way too nice to everybody, Barack Obama can come in at any time.
DIAZ: Are you guys done? Can I ask a question now? Thank you.
FUGELSANG: Of course.
DIAZ: OK, guys. I want to move on now to a brand-new explosive movie set tirade by Pauley Shore. He cursed, he blustered, but was he bluffing? While filming his newest movie, "Brand Dead," Pauley Shore busted out an expletive-filled rant ala Christian Bale. The video was leaked on MovieSet.com, a site that usually just plays trailers. DIAZ: That is just unreal. I mean it, seriously. It`s like fake. I mean, come on. John, given that Pauley Shore - given that he was once - a fake fight to promote a movie and he`s done all these different - the weasel and the whole thing, should we believe this is real?
FUGELSANG: Well, full disclosure, Carlos. When your producer asked first asked me to watch this, I had an on-set tirade. And after seeing it, my first instinct as I`m watching is I have seen Civil War re-enactments that are less staged than this. So either it`s a complete fake like "The Hills," or if it is real, I hope Pauly just tells people he has mercury poisoning. So that one is an "allegedly" kind of situation.
DIAZ: OK. Thank you. With Pauley, you don`t have to worry about it. Now, we have to move on to the biggest results of the explosive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Jon Gosselin - we asked you on air, and online, "Jon Gosselin: Should he be fired from `Jon & Kate Plus 8?"
A whopping 61 percent of you said yes; 39 percent said no. Kim, are you surprised so many people think Jon Gosselin should get the boot from the show?
SERAFIN: I am surprised, because it`s "Jon & Kate Plus 8" even though now he`s seen more with his girlfriends and we hear more about his life outside the show, not with his kids.
I think that`s still the show, even the show also had only 3 million viewers this Monday. It`s really going down in viewership. The fact is people still love them as a family. People will still watch. Maybe it`s not going to have those 10 million viewers.
But it`s a show that people are interested in. People are fascinated about it. We`re talking about it now. He`s got to stay on the show.
DIAZ: John, you`ve got 20 seconds to say something funny about Jon Gosselin. Go ahead.
FUGELSANG: You know what? It`s not that funny when a marriage breaks up. But I hope Chastity Bono joins the show goes on the show to teach John how to be a man because there`s no way he`s ever going to leave the show. He`s good for ratings. And twice a day, Kate needs to feed, so I think he`ll be around for awhile.
DIAZ: Stop it. Just stop it, John. I`m sorry we had you on.

REP. MARCY KAPTUR: Every was being handled by the Treasury Secretary from Goldman Sachs. They had Congress right where they wanted them. This was almost like an intelligence operation.

BUSH: Capitalism offers people the freedom to choose where they work.
