(MUSIC)

Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you from Hollywood.

And tonight, oh, no! The girlfriend, too?

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke, the girlfriend too. Jon Gosselin`s own girlfriend, the 22-year-old he once said he loves more than Kate, ripped into Jon today like nobody`s business, even calling Jon Gosselin emotionally abusive.

Yes, his young girlfriend, who`s the daughter of his wife`s plastic surgeon, did some operating of her own today, cutting into Jon for everything from the way he treats her to the way she says he, quote, "dances around his lies." Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the brand-new interview that made for big news breaking today.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): Poor Jon Gosselin. He`s catching grief from his ex-wife, Kate.

KATE GOSSELIN, REALITY TV STAR, "JON & KATE PLUS 8": The most hurtful part is when his decisions directly affect our children.

HAMMER: And his alleged former fling.

KATE MAJOR, JON GOSSELIN`S ALLEGED FORMER GIRLFRIEND: I despise him.

HAMMER: Oh, well. At least his current girlfriend is happy with him, right?

HAILEY GLASSMAN, JON GOSSELIN`S GIRLFRIEND: He`s done some really cruel things to me.

HAMMER: Not so much. In a new interview with "The Insider," Hailey Glassman lashes out at the former "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star, accusing Jon of emotional abuse.

HAILEY: I can`t do this anymore. I can`t take this.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, if hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, then Jon Gosselin is catching hell from everywhere.

KATRINA SZISH, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: It seems like every woman associated with Jon Gosselin at this point is somehow angry with him.

JON GOSSELIN, REALITY TV STAR, "JON & KATE PLUS 8": Kate and I have decided to separate.

HAMMER: It was only weeks after Jon and Kate`s big divorce announcement that we first got a glimpse of Jon`s new 22-year-old squeeze. This "People" magazine cover declared "Divorce to Dating in 20 Days!"

HAILEY: if you really love me, like - let me go, please.

HAMMER: But the honeymoon is over. About Jon, Hailey says, quote, "We`re at a point now where I don`t know why I love him. He gets frustrated and angry and I`m the one who gets the brunt. He`ll call me and take his anger out on me. He has `man-trums.` I shouldn`t have to put up with emotionally abused. I cry and say, `Why are you so mean to me?` He takes it out on me. He talks over me so I can`t speak."

SZISH: Jon already does not have a lot of fans out there, particularly among women. And unfortunately, Hailey`s interview is really going to only up that "I hate Jon" factor.

HAMMER: Plus, Hailey accuses Jon of lying, saying, quote, "Sometimes he has trouble with the truth and he will dance and dance around his lies. He`s like Jekyll and Hyde, but I still love him."

J. GOSSELIN: I love Hailey.

HAMMER: In an interview earlier this month on "LARRY KING LIVE," Jon acknowledged not being the perfect boyfriend.

HAMMER: I apologized to Hailey. I made mistakes, but she`s the only person that`s still behind me and has supported me.

HAMMER: So why is Hailey still standing behind Jon? She says, quote, "I don`t want to leave him all alone. At the end of the day, I love him, but I dislike him at times. When I love someone, I would never hurt them."

Hailey`s bombshell interview comes just after another of Jon`s post- Kate women bashed him on TV.

MAJOR: For him to say that there was no romance is a complete lie.

HAMMER: In an exclusive interview with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, former "Star" magazine reporter Kate Major told me Gosselin is lying when he says the two of them were never romantic.

MAJOR: It`s a shame that he`s a liar.

HAMMER: And with Jon`s soon to be ex-wife Kate Gosselin also bashing Jon on TV on an almost daily basis, it seems like the only women in Jon`s life who are not bashing him publicly are his daughters.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE CHILD: I love you.

J. GOSSELIN: I love you.

HAMMER: In addition to dishing on Jon, Hailey is tearfully complaining about the rough press coverage she gets, saying she wants her name to be forgotten.

GLASSMAN: Everywhere I go, people are whispering and pointing like, "There`s the home wrecker."

HAMMER: Going on TV to complain about all the attention you`re getting? Someone did tell Hailey the cameras pointed at her were on, right?

SZISH: If you want to be let alone, this is not the way to do it.

HAMMER: Entertainment journalist Katrina Szish tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT she thinks Hailey is trying to hop on board the Jon and Kate fame train. And ironically, that may benefit Jon.

SZISH: Maybe it does portray him as the bad boy, but it`s still bringing more publicity to Jon. They`re really taking Kate out of the headlines and putting Hailey and Jon in the headlines.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: All right. So Jon`s own girlfriend, a woman who says she loves him, is lashing out at him. This is just incredible. So coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, I can`t wait for this fired-up debate. You are not going to want to miss it. Is Jon Gosselin the most despised bachelor in America?

ANDERSON: Tonight, David Letterman under fire from the wrath of the writer. In a brand-new HLN exclusive, one of the Letterman`s first female writers is speaking out and I can tell you, it`s making for big news breaking.

Nell Scovell who worked for Letterman in the `90s is claiming that Letterman ran a hostile, sexually-charged atmosphere at NBC. In a scathing new interview with HLN`s own Joy Behar, Scovell adds even more fuel to the fire. So today, I have to ask, can Letterman handle the wrath of the writer?

Joining me tonight in Hollywood is Carlos Diaz, who is a correspondent for "Extra." Also tonight in Hollywood, Kim Serafin, who is a senior editor for "In Touch Weekly."

Carlos, Kim, it was just a few weeks ago David Letterman admitted to having sex with women who worked for him at his show on CBS. Now, you`ve got Nell Scovell who worked for Letterman at NBC in the `90s when he was doing his late-night show, claiming that she quit because of what she called sexual politics.

She described that dramatic moment on HLN`s "THE JOY BEHAR SHOW." Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NELL SCOVELL, FORMER STAFF WRITER, "LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN": It was my dream job. I loved that show and it was a breakthrough. So I moved back to New York to take this job. And five months later, I ended up walking away from my dream job, because it was a hostile work environment.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. Kim, here`s what I`m wondering. If this was going on back in the `90s, why do you think no one would publicly call Letterman out until now? Do you think that maybe nobody would have believed her?

KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Well, it`s interesting, because she did wait for a long time, obviously, almost 20 years to talk about this. So she obviously must feel this way.

But you have to wonder why you`re not hearing from other women who worked for David Letterman. I, personally, know people, both men and women, who have worked for David Letterman and I`m not hearing from any of them.

She did only work for him for, I think, four to six months, as well. So, look, she has recollections. It seems that in her piece she wrote and in her interview with Joy Behar she talks a lot more like writers rooms in general on late-night talk shows, not just Dave`s talk show. So maybe it`s just getting more women into these writers` rooms as well.

ANDERSON: Maybe so. Hiring more women as the writers. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT did reach out to Letterman today about Scovell`s startling claims and he`s not commenting. They didn`t even want to address these claims.

Carlos, are you thinking that Letterman`s admission earlier this month to having sex with women he worked with makes her claims more believable?

CARLOS DIAZ, CORRESPONDENT, "EXTRA": No, because she says, "David did not hit on me. Letterman did not hit on me." But what it does, what Letterman`s situation does, is it opens up the avenue for us to talk about this and to talk about this men`s club that is the writers` room for late- night TV.

And if I`m starting a show today, I`m looking at what this young lady said in "Vanity Fair" and saying, "Wait a minute, I`m going to hire as many women as I can for writers, because, obviously, they`re not being hired. And maybe we can have a show that`s different with a different kind of comedic point of view."

ANDERSON: Yes, very true. We women give you a little bit more flavor, I think, Carlos.

DIAZ: I`ve heard rumors of that.

ANDERSON: I do want you to hear -

DIAZ: I`ve heard those rumors, yes.

ANDERSON: I do want you to hear what Scovell said in the exclusive interview with Joy Behar right here on HLN, because it does give us even more insight into what it was like for her to work with Letterman. Take a listen.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SCOVELL: If you`re doing your job and you`re working hard and you`re in the middle of a soap opera, then that`s not - I wasn`t going to thrive, professionally. And you know, I didn`t get the memo as a young girl that said you should have low self-esteem and put up with crap. So I just - I quit.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Yes. Well, good for her. And while nobody is suggesting that Nell Scovell is making this up - Kim, do you think that her waiting so long to make these claims could make some people question whether she is telling the entire story?

SERAFIN: Sure. I think, obviously, people will wonder why she didn`t speak up sooner and why she just waited until now when all of this came out about David Letterman.

Obviously, she`s done a good job for herself. She worked on a lot of other TV shows. She created a TV show herself. But she, even in her article that she wrote, in her piece that she wrote, said that part of the reason there are not enough female writers is because not enough female writers apply for these jobs.

So, you know, you can`t totally blame David Letterman or any of the late-night talk show hosts when you don`t have enough women applying for these jobs.

ANDERSON: So get out there and apply.

SERAFIN: Or be Chelsea Handler or be Wanda Sykes, you know.

ANDERSON: Right. And my take is it takes everything to get your job done well, so distractions like hostility and harassment have no place in the workplace or anywhere else, for that matter. Carlos Diaz, Kim Serafin, good to see you. Thanks.

HAMMER: Well, there`s brand-new outrage today over what Tyra Banks just did. Tyra painted contestants on "America`s Next Top Model" in dark colors. I don`t really get this.

Tyra says she was discriminated against in her modeling career. And now, she`s painting people in black face? What is going on here?

Also, the brand-new battle between Sarah Palin and Levi Johnston.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you hurt by all this?

JOHNSTON: I was, yes. Now, it`s just kind of like - all right. Well, now, it`s my turn.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: And now, tonight, Sarah strikes back. Her unbelievable response to Levi threatening her family. But should Sarah stay silent here? Why does she keep responding to the father of her grandson every time he opens his mouth?

And tonight, the creator of "Seinfeld" under attack for urinating on a picture of Jesus. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.

TEXT: Jon Gosselin tells us he is not going to appear in a reality show with the octomom. Grand jury refuses to indict 53-year-old man who said he was married to Miley Cyrus. The D.A. will still pursue two lesser charges against Miley Cyrus` alleged stalker.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: OMG! No LOL here. Are Miley Cyrus` biggest fans turning on her? Tonight, a brand-new poll from AOL to JYSK.com which is a Web site aimed towards 9 to 15-year-olds reveals that Miley is the worst celebrity influence of 2009.

That`s right. Tweens and teens picked her as being worse than Britney Spears, even Kanye "I`m going to let you finish, Taylor Swift" West.

HAMMER: Wow. That shocked me. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson. A.J., did you se this? Tonight, it`s lights out for Craig Ferguson.

HAMMER: I did see this, Brooke. The late-night talk show host had to ad lib his way through a big part of his show doing a "Blair Witch Project" flashlight-style. A blackout hit his Hollywood studio. He was right in the middle of a taping.

And here now is CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT shedding some light on the issue

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Lights, camera, action. Ah, who needs light?

ALICIA SILVERSTONE, ACTRESS: Take good steps to get there.

CRAIG FERGUSON, HOST, "THE LATE, LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON": Well, we will. Oh!

MOOS: That`s the last Craig Ferguson`s audience saw of actress Alicia Silverstone. Everybody, quietly - keep going. Keep going what?

MOOS: Going to a commercial, the blackout at the Los Angeles studio continued. But Ferguson supplied his own lighting, adlibbing.

FERGUSON: It`s kind of like one of these movies that make a million gazillion dollars now.

MOOS: Of course, Ferguson isn`t the first talk show host to lose his lights.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Still dating your ex.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Oh, now we can say anything we want.

MOOS: But for some reason, Ferguson is electrically jinxed. The light on a guest -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We`ve lost the light. No light on.

MOOS: Has repeatedly gone out.

FERGUSON: Go sit on the other chair, then.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`ll sit in this chair.

MOOS: If it wasn`t the lights, it`s a leak on the set.

FERGUSON: Come look at this.

MOOS: Or a shattered teleprompter. Ferguson broke his own prompter and then went to the instant replay.

FERGUSON: Oh, look at that. Yes!

MOOS: But twice, Ferguson has found himself in the dark. So it - oh! My first thought, "Put your hand on her booby."

MOOS: With lines like that, who needs a teleprompter?

(on camera): Now, most of the lighting mishaps you see on TV don`t actually leave the talent in total darkness, but they do have an explosive quality.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE NEWS ANCHOR: Hollywood madam. Eye to eye - oh, that was a light.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE NEWS ANCHOR: A light bulb blew out.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE NEWS ANCHOR: We`re going to talk with Joe (UNINTELLIGIBLE) tonight about -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE NEWS ANCHOR: Goodness. That`s what -

MOOS (voice-over): Pants on fire, but news anchors can`t compare with the comedian when it comes to the comeback. Ferguson resorted to his Alfred Hitchcock impersonation.

FERGUSON: Now, I would like to bid you good night.

MOOS: Leaving TV critics to speculate on the cause of the blackout. "Entertainment Weekly" wondered if the gods of the Village People were seeking revenge for Ferguson`s show opener.

(MUSIC)

It`s a wonder that didn`t shatter the glass.

FERGUSON: Oh, look at that, yes! Oh!

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That was CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Now, the blackout during the taping of Ferguson`s show was not some kind of early Halloween prank. Heavy winds in Los Angeles were to blame for that.

So, Brooke, a lot of people, by the way, fired up now over the new Michael Jackson controversy as his movie, "This Is It," is just released.

ANDERSON: That`s right, A.J. We got a call into "Showbiz on Call" from Deborah. She is furious about Michael`s dermatologist suing his estate now and thinks Joe Jackson is wrongly trying to cash in on the film.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CALLER: I feel Dr. Klein is just trying to get a piece of the action, so to speak. It`s very bad timing. It`s very poor taste. And I feel if same way about Joe Jackson. He didn`t want to be a part of his life at one time and Michael didn`t want him in his life. So why should he get anything that he makes?

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thank you, Deborah.

HAMMER: We have Marilyn calling in to "Showbiz on Call" from Texas who doesn`t see anything wrong with Michael`s dad making money off the movie.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CALLER: I think Joe Jackson should profit from whatever proceeds that comes from the Michael Jackson film and any other moneys that he has coming. He was the one who originally started all of the hoopla concerning Michael Jackson. And so I definitely believe that he should profit, just like everybody else.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thank you very much, Marilyn.

ANDERSON: The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are always open. Give us a ring, 1-888-SBT-BUZZ. That`s 1-888-728-2899.

OK. So we just told you that Jon Gosselin`s 22-year-old girlfriend is out with brand-new accusations about him, that he`s abusive, that he has a bad temper. And this is his girlfriend talking, a woman who says she loves him. So, tonight, we`ve got to ask, is Jon the most hated bachelor in America?

And you know that woman who police claim tried to sell sex for World Series tickets. Well, there are brand-new developments tonight about her. Was this Phillies fanatic who allegedly was going to fool around for tickets, well, just fooling around?

And tonight, the creator of "Seinfeld" under attack for urinating on a picture of Jesus. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.

TEXT: Five teenagers charged with burglarizing homes of Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox. Study: Violence against women on primetime TV shows has doubled since last year.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Hey, this is certainly one way to carve a pumpkin. Did you see this? I love it. Bears, tigers, and gorillas at the Brookfield Zoo in Illinois got to munch on pumpkins. It`s an early Halloween treat this year.

I like to eat pumpkin, but personally, I`d rather have a couple of peanut butter cups or, well, beer in my trick or treat pack, Brooke.

Did you see this? It was all tricks, no treats for Melissa Joan Hart on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

ANDERSON: Yes, A.J. Can you say "awkward?" You have got to see what happened when Jimmy was interviewing Melissa and snowboarder Louis Vito. Melissa and Louis have just gotten kicked off "Dancing With The Stars." Now, remember, Melissa got her big break on "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch" which aired on ABC back in the late `90s. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JIMMY KIMMEL, HOST, "JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE": At any point during the competition, did you consider using witchcraft to help you?

MELISSA JOAN HART, ACTRESS: Whoa, hold on. That joke is like 1996, I think, so -

KIMMEL: Yes, but you know what, so are you, to be honest.

HART: No -

KIMMEL: I`m sorry. I`m an evil person.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Ouch! Right, A.J.?

HAMMER: Oh, no. Jimmy was pretty harsh there, but you know, she did set him up for that. Let`s just hope that Melissa, Brooke, doesn`t put a spell on Jimmy.

ANDERSON: Oh, A.J., that joke was so 2008.

HAMMER: More like 2000 late. Let`s move on to the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall. A lot of people, like myself, have already seen the new Michael Jackson movie, "This Is It." A lot of people fired up about it. Is it exploiting Michael`s memory?

Well, Mandi D. thinks it is soon, saying, "I think the movie is a good idea, but I think they should have waited a couple of years. Plus, I think waiting would have made them more money."

Alyssa K. loved it, "I think it was the greatest movie ever made and an amazing tribute. I think fans deserve to see his final performance. He will be deeply missed."

I want to hear from you on Facebook. You can also follow us on Twitter for breaking entertainment news alerts. Sign up for our Facebook and Twitter pages at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

ANDERSON: And now, the SHOWBIZ lineup. Here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Jon Gosselin`s own girlfriend out with stunning claims that he`s abusive. Is Jon now the most hated bachelor in America?

Also, the brand-new Sarah Palin-Levi Johnston battle.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you hurt by all of this?

JOHNSTON: I was, yes. Now, it`s just kind of like - all right. Well, now, it`s my turn.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Tonight, Sarah strikes back against Levi`s threats. But should she just keep quiet when Levi keeps talking?

And tonight, David Spade`s big regret. Why he`s now saying he regrets doing a commercial with Chris Farley. It`s got a lot of people really fired up. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom. And they are making news right now.

TEXT: ABC announces revamped "Scrubs" to debut on December 1st. Stars of "Slumdog Millionaire" may lose trust fund; they keep missing school!

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Now, on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, is Jon Gosselin the most hated bachelor in America? Startling brand-new allegations from Jon`s 22-year-old girlfriend that Jon is verbally abusive and a liar.

Also, Sarah Palin strikes back.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you hurt by all of this?

JOHNSTON: I was, yes. Now it`s just kind of like - all right. Well, now, it`s my turn.

HAMMER: Levi Johnston`s brand-new claims that he has some secrets that would really hurt Sarah Palin. Tonight, Palin`s unbelievable response. Plus, we`re asking, is it time for Sarah to stop talking?

And Tyra`s blackface controversy. Why Tyra is in hot water for dressing up white models as black women.

Plus, more stories breaks from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker."

TV`s first provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you from Hollywood.

And tonight, is Jon Gosselin now America`s most hated bachelor after an unbelievable attack by his very own girlfriend?

Yes, in a startling brand-new interview today, Jon`s 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, is calling the father of eight abusive. Wait until you hear Hailey`s disturbing claims about Jon`s temper.

Also breaking tonight, Sarah strikes back. Sarah Palin on the attack today and slamming the father of her grandson, Levi Johnston, over his threats against her and her family.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHNSTON: If she`s going to go out there and say stuff to me - about me, I`m going to leak some things on her. I mean, that`s just how it is.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: But I have to ask, why, Sarah, why? Should Sarah just not respond anymore?

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. I`m thinking at this point, silence is golden, and that`s for both of them.

Joining me tonight from Hollywood, Tanika Ray, who is an entertainment journalist. Also in Hollywood, Kim Serafin, who is a senior editor for "In Touch Weekly."

I want to begin with this brand-new interview today with Jon Gosselin`s young girlfriend, Hailey Glassman. Now, Hailey really slams Jon for being emotionally abusive and throws their whole relationship into question.

Here`s what she`s saying, "We`re at a point now where I don`t know why I love him. He gets frustrated and angry and I`m the one who gets the brunt. He`ll call me and take his anger out on me. He has `man-trums.` I shouldn`t have to be put up with being emotionally abused. I cry and say, `Why are you so mean to me?`"

"He takes it out on me. He talks over me so I can`t speak. Sometimes he has trouble with the truth and he will dance and dance around his lies. He`s like Jekyll and Hyde, but I still love him."

Kim, does this just cement Jon`s reputation as perhaps the most hated bachelor in America?

SERAFIN: It`s so bizarre to me, especially - listen to this. He`s Jekyll and Hyde, but she still loves him. He throws man-trums, but she still loves him. He has trouble with the truth, but she still loves him.

I don`t know what this attraction is to Jon, but yes, this pretty much cements it. It`s kind of what people have been saying about him for a long time. And here, his girlfriend is saying this. It`s so bizarre. This should be on the reality show. This is what TLC should be doing on Monday nights.

HAMMER: Yes, exactly!

SERAFIN: This should get them some ratings!

HAMMER: I mean, truly bizarre. I guess it`s the definition of a love-hate relationship. Now, Hailey goes on to say that her relationship has caused a deep divide with her own parents. Saying about that, "He has driven a fork between my family and I. My parents want me to be a normal 22-year- old. It`s not a normal relationship. I love him. But as for my family and I, he needs to regain our trust. He lied to my mother."

Tanika, what does it say to you, that his own girlfriend, who he claims he loves more than Kate, and who claims she loves him, is now calling him out as a jackass?

TANIKA RAY, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: Well, it`s saying that he probably is a jackass. What it comes down to - you have to remember Kate emasculated him on national television for several seasons of the show.

So now, he`s just carrying on that personality with his new relationship. It`s like his new, shiny red Porsche going through a mid- life crisis.

Big deal, she`s 22. She thinks she`s in love. You know in a year or two from now, she`ll get over it. And she`ll be like, "Oh, I was wrong. He was abusive and I got over it."

HAMMER: Yes.

RAY: It just seems like a big, silly mess. And I think she`s just a young girl that wants a little bit of attention and wants the world to know that she feels bad about her relationship. But what it all comes down to, he`s not the most hated. He`s not that special to be that hated.

HAMMER: Lest we forgot, Tanika, Hailey is not the first to come forward claiming that Jon is a big fat liar. In fact, former "Star" magazine reporter Kate Major just dated Jon and resigned from her job because of this supposed romance that she had with Jon.

In an exclusive interview with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, she told me Jon is full of it. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MAJOR: Jon told me that he was falling for me. He called me the new Kate and referred to Kate Gosselin as his ex-Kate or the old Kate. And he`s just - I fell for him. I completely believed everything that he said.

I will take a lie detector test and I would love for Jon to take a lie detector test. Because for him to say that there was no romance is a complete lie.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. Now, I`ve got to be honest. While everybody else is lying, a lot of people questioned what Kate Major told me, saying her credibility with us in question. But, Kim, it really does seem like she is singing the exact same tune as Hailey here.

SERAFIN: It does seem like several women keep repeating this same thing. And I hate to say this, but I feel like if him and Hailey break up, there will be another woman there.

RAY: Absolutely.

SERAFIN: So maybe he`s not the most hated bachelor in America. Women seem to be drawn to him. I don`t know, A.J. I have not met him. So I`m kind of afraid to get close to him, because maybe I`ll be sucked into this vortex of love that surrounds him.

RAY: Sucked into his Ed Hardy T-shirts and his new earring. He`s so hot and young - not.

HAMMER: Yes. His vortex of love and supposed lies. You know, we`ve got to give you the whole package there. Maybe we should just move on. Because we have Sarah Palin`s brand-new slam on Levi Johnston.

In an interview with the "CBS Early Show," Levi Johnston has been making some pretty ominous threats towards Palin and her family, saying that he can hurt her and the family.

Well, just this morning, Levi back on TV and slamming the Palins once again.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHNSTON: I don`t think it should matter what - in their eyes, what I`m doing. She`s doing her thing. I`m doing mine. You know, she`s doing her book. She`s quitting governor for her money. So I don`t see how, you know, we`re kind of on the same page here.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Just riveting, as always. Sarah Palin, however, has had enough. She released a brand-new statement to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. She is striking back.

Here what Sarah is saying, "Consider the source of the most recent attention-getting lies. Those who would sell their body for money reflect a desperate need for attention and are likely to say and do anything for even more attention." Sarah, of course, referring to Levi`s upcoming nude spread in "Playgirl."

Kim, are you with me that Sarah Palin - I really believe that she`s doing herself a disservice by dignifying anything that this guy, Levi, says with any kind of a comment.

SERAFIN: You know, I don`t agree with that. I think there was a point when she was responding to things when she was still governor and it didn`t seem kind of gubernatorial to do that. But I think he goes very personally after her when he says that she called her son "retarded."

I really think that if she didn`t respond, with people would wonder if there was some truth in this. I think she really did need to respond and hopefully put an end to all of this. I do agree, though, that when she responds, we talk about and the story continues.

HAMMER: You know, it feeds the fire.

SERAFIN: But I think there`s a point - yes - when she has to say, enough is enough. He`s the one that is starting this. And this is getting ridiculous.

HAMMER: Well, in case you had any concern that I wasn`t keeping a proper daily planner on all that is going on in the world of Levi and in Sarah, I noticed the strangest ultimate coincidence today.

And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT did confirm this for me. Levi will be shooting his "Playgirl" spread on the same day that Sarah Palin is sitting down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey. How about that?

Brooke Anderson, come on back in here. I think that Sarah, as I said, should just ignore the kid. What do you think?

ANDERSON: I do too. Just zip it up, Sarah. Because her responding lends more credence to what this guy is saying. And this is exactly what he wants, A.J., because as long as the two sides are feuding, he gets publicity. He gets offers to do interviews. He gets offers to pose in magazines.

And in my opinion, he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. So if she would just ignore him, I think everybody else would probably disregard him as well.

(CROSS TALK)

HAMMER: Tanika Ray, here is the most important question of all. If you had the opportunity to either be in the audience for that taping of the "Oprah Winfrey Show" with Sarah Palin or be on hand for the nude "Playgirl" shoot with Levi Johnston, where are you going to be, Tanika Ray?

RAY: I`m going to be slitting my wrist. That`s what I`m going to be doing. Let`s be really honest. One thing that Levi is not is a liar. He`s not smart enough to figure out how to lie.

The guy told me straight up that Sarah Palin is a liar. He has no reason to gain from saying that she`s lying about the things that she did during the race, like when she pretended like it was her son and not her daughter`s, when she had him there and pretended like they were a happy family.

HAMMER: So you`re buying it.

RAY: He said the whole time she was lying and knew that they couldn`t stand each other ...

HAMMER: I`ve got to end it there.

RAY: ... and that they could be together anymore. So Levi, not smart, but not a liar.

HAMMER: All right. Tanika Ray, Kim Serafin, appreciate it, guys.

ANDERSON: Tonight, there is brand-new controversy over Tyra Banks. Why would Tyra paint white models in blackface?

It`s truly stunning, almost as stunning as the new controversy surrounding "Seinfeld" creator Larry David. Here`s something I never thought I`d say on TV. He urinated on a picture of Jesus.

And sex and the series. The woman who was arrested for allegedly trying to trade sex for World Series tickets. Brand-new developments tonight. Was the whole thing just a big misunderstanding? Were the police way off-base? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.

TEXT: U2 to play free concert in Berlin marking the 20th anniversary of fall of the Berlin Wall. "This Is It" earns $20.1 million on its first day at the worldwide box office.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. And tonight, you have got to hear about the explosive Tyra Banks blackface outrage.

Contestants on Tyra`s "America`s Next Top Model" show were covered from head to toe in varying degrees of dark makeup to celebrate exotic racial combinations. But is this really an excuse for using blackface?

Also breaking today, the creator of the "Seinfeld" show under fire from Catholics for splashing urine on a picture of Jesus Christ. Tonight, there is a major outcry for an apology.

And there were brand-new developments today in the out-of-this-world sex and the series caper. The woman who allegedly wanted to trade sex for World Series tickets speaks out for the very first time and says, just kidding.

With me in Hollywood tonight, it`s Carlos Diaz, who is a correspondent for "Extra." And in New York is tonight, Janell Snowden, she`s the host of "VH1 News."

Carlos, Janell, let`s begin with the Tyra blackface outrage. I want you to take a look at this from last night`s "America`s Next Top Model." Here`s Tyra`s explanation for using models painted in various shades of black.

She says it was a celebration of exotic racial combinations like Russian-Moroccan. But some people outraged today saying this is nothing more than blackface which has an awful, painful history.

Janell, was Tyra just being provocative, or is blackface offensive, plain and simple?

JANELL SNOWDEN, HOST, "VH1 NEWS": It`s plain and simple offensive. I think folks here are like, because we have Barack Obama as president. We`ve got a black president. We`ve come so far. No, we`ve not come that far.

Here`s an idea. Why not actually hire models that are of those races? There are plenty of beautiful mixed-race who are trying, you know, to get on TV. And I think rather than have people impersonate, then why not use the real thing?

ANDERSON: Yes. Hire those beautiful biracial women out there. Like you say, there are plenty out there. And I think what outrages people the most, maybe, is that this is Tyra Banks, a trailblazing black supermodel who`s done this.

Take a look at what was written on a blog today on EntertainmentWeekly.com, "Do I think Tyra is setting out to dehumanize anyone? I really, really don`t. But it`s weak and irresponsible to act as if dressing up a white girl so she looks black doesn`t have major cultural baggage."

Carlos, do you think that Tyra should have known better, especially since she has painfully confessed that, yes, she has been discriminated against in her own career?

DIAZ: But on her show, Tyra - she`s explored these avenues we dressing up as a homeless person, by dressing up like an overweight person. I mean, she`s gone there. I think that she thought this was another extension of that. And that`s why she thought it was safe haven to do this. But apparently, it`s not.

SNOWDEN: Not at all.

ANDERSON: Come on, Carlos. Don`t you think sometimes these stunts done maybe for ratings and that she should have been a little bit more sensitive?

DIAZ: I think when you say the word "blackface," yes, that connotation is always seen as being extremely negative. But I think if you`re giving somebody a different skin color and asking them, you know, to be in that person`s skin for a day - to me, there are bigger problems in the world than that.

SNOWDEN: There are, but, I mean, there`s no way that you can pretend to know what it feels like to be of a different race just by painting your face. And I think Tyra should have known better. I think it was sort of a desperate attempt for ratings. And I can`t believe that nobody stopped this.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: Maybe she`ll know better next time. Maybe she`ll know better next time. We`ll have to all agree to disagree on that one.

I want to get to another explosive controversy tonight. "Seinfeld" creator Larry David is taking major heat from the influential Catholic League for offending Catholics in a totally over-the-top moment on his show, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" where he is seen urinating on a picture of Jesus Christ. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: Yesterday, it was actually right after you left, a miracle happened. I went into the bathroom and I called my mother in, because there is a painting hanging up of Jesus. It`s beautiful. And he`s got a tear coming down on his face.

LARRY DAVID, CREATOR, "SEINFELD": Really?

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: A real tear that was never there before.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK, Janell, does Larry David owe Catholics an apology, or is this just comedy?

SNOWDEN: If Larry David made an apology to everybody he`s offended, he`d have no show. The whole show would be about apologies. He`s an equal opportunity offender. And I think that, you know - I have to say I found it somewhat funny.

I think I would have been more offended had he purposefully done - you know, had he purposefully urinated on the painting. But because it was Larry David, of course, it was sort of one of those random moments that, you know, you often do but don`t talk about. And I found it funny.

ANDERSON: But it`s purposefully scripted. It felt it was sacrilegious, mocking Christianity and completely demeaning. A.J., I know you`re a big fan of "Curb Your Enthusiasm." When you saw this episode, did you just think, "Oh, no?"

HAMMER: Not even for a moment, Brooke, I`ve got to say. And really, as you said, I`m a huge fan of Larry David so I can`t really be objective. I know there are some people who are more sensitive about religious matters, so I totally understand why some would protest.

But as Janell said, if Larry David apologized to anybody he ever offended on his show, that`s all he would be doing. I don`t think fans of his really were objecting to what was going on.

ANDERSON: And let me let you take a look real quick at what HBO told us today, A.J., "Anyone who follows `Curb Your Enthusiasm` knows that the show is full of parody and satire. Larry David makes fun of everyone, most especially himself. The humor is always playful and certainly never malicious." I`ll leave you with that.

HAMMER: Yes. I mean, people certainly have a right to be upset about anything, I suppose.

Let`s move on now, because I have a big update that you know you want to hear. It`s all about the absolutely wild sex in the series drama.

Here`s the deal with this. Cops arrested a Pennsylvania woman who was allegedly trying to sell sex in exchange for tickets to the World Series. The woman is this woman, 43-year-old Susan Finkelstein. And she posted an ad on Craigslist. The title was, "Desperate Blond Needs WS Tix." Well, instead of tickets, she got handcuffs.

Today, she spoke out for the very first time. She denies that she was offering sex. She says she was just flirting for a discount. Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SUSAN FINKELSTEIN, ALLEGEDLY FLIRTING FOR A LOWER PRICE FOR WORLD SERIES TICKETS: I was hoping to get cheap tickets and, you know, maybe meet someone and talk and bat my eye lashes and maybe get some tickets. Some cheaper tickets, discounted.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: By the way, I didn`t mention, she`s married. Carlos, are you like me when you`re watching that saying, "Yes, right."

DIAZ: Yes. This is the first time in World Series history that some has offered to get to third base in the stands. But no, listen. I am, like, outraged. Have you seen the price of the World Series tickets?

That is outrageous. I mean, you`ve got do something new and original. And I mean, it`s just a matter of time. But in light of what`s going on in Craigslist this year as far as the negative things that have been going on, I think that is probably not the best venue, you know. But listen, it gives a whole new meaning to stub hub.

HAMMER: There you go. We will leave it right there. How about that? Carlos Diaz, Janell Snowden, thanks, guys.

ANDERSON: "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert is striking back. The cover for his debut album raised a lot of eyebrows. And now, Adam is responding to all the criticism. Wait until you hear what he has to say. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.

TEXT: Disney launching applications for the iPhone and iPod. Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne scheduled to host "WWE Raw" on Monday.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DAVID SPADE, ACTOR: Don`t do it.

CHRIS FARLEY, ACTOR: Fat guy in a little coat. Fat guy in a little coat.

SPADE: Great. I am here with tons of fun when I could be at home watching Direct TV.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: That`s part of a brand new TV commercial featuring David Spade and the late Chris Farley which some say is in very poor taste.

Tonight, for the first time, David Spade is responding to all the criticism. Tonight, David Spade said if he had to do it over, he probably wouldn`t have made that commercial.

The Direct TV ad splices together a scene his and Farley`s movie, "Tommy Boy" with Spade promoting Direct TV. Spade says when he agreed to do the ad, he never thought anybody would be offended.

Told "People" magazine that he was slightly shocked that people thought the ad was tasteless since Farley died in 1997. Spade says he thinks Farley would have loved that the movie was included in the ad campaign.

But since it has offended people, Spade says, quote, "I wouldn`t want anyone to get a whiff that I`m trying to get something off Chris."

HAMMER: "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert is raising some eyebrows with the cover art for his debut album. Tonight, Adam is defending it. The album is called "For Your Entertainment."

Take a look at this cover - very 80s. You know, kind of a glam boy George-y sort of look. I don`t really get what the fuss is all about here.

On Adam`s Twitter page, he says that`s the whole point. He writes, "Thank you to those who appreciate and understand that the album cover is deliberately campy. It is an homage to the past. It is ridiculous."

All right. So he`s spelled "homage" wrong. But whatever - Adam says anyone who doesn`t get what he is doing on the album cover, oh well, he is just glad to have the attention.

ANDERSON: On Wednesday, we asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. And just moments ago we got the final results - "Michael Jackson Move: Will you go see `This Is It`?" Twenty-five percent of you say yes; 75 percent of you say no, you won`t.

Here are just a few of the E-mails we got. Serena from Oregon, "Saw it last night. Fabulous! Totally uplifting. I would see it several more times."

Carmen from Arizona, "People and especially his family should just let him rest in peace and stop trying to make money off of him."

Sandy from Kansas, "I saw it last night. I wasn`t an M.J. fan, but always appreciated his artistry. I`ll go again and take my little girl."

We also heard from Sue calling in to "Showbiz on Call" from Virginia.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CALLER: I do not want to see the last video film of Mr. Michael Jackson. I do not want to put any more money into the pockets of the people that do not deserve it. Unless it goes to his mother and his three children, it does not belong to anyone else.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thank you, Sue. We appreciate your call. And thank you all for your calls and E-mails.

HAMMER: You know, Brooke, I was thinking - I am surprised by the results. Only 25 percent said they`re going to go see that. I really thought it would have been a higher number.

ANDERSON: I was a little surprised, too. Me, too.

HAMMER: And people do need to know the family and his mother and kids will benefit from the movie`s success. We`re going to wrap it there. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. You can catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on the 11:00s - 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, and in the morning, 11:00 a.m. Eastern on HLN.
