THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.
A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: Right now, on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, should Chris Brown just shut up already? Tonight, Rihanna`s horrifying new details about the night Chris Brown beat her. And wait until you hear what Chris is saying today about her startling tell-all. Should he just keep his mouth shut?
Is Carrie a hypocrite? Tonight, a brand-new Carrie Prejean sex tape shocker. Startling revelations about what the controversial former beauty queen wrote before we learned about her sex tape. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, has the poster girl for conservative values become the biggest hypocrite ever?
And Taylor`s swift "SNL" kick to Kate Gosselin.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
TAYLOR SWIFT, SINGER: Actually every day I practice emphatically talking in front of a mirror.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts now.
(MUSIC PLAYING)
Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.
BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson to you from Hollywood. And tonight, should Chris Brown shut his big mouth?
HAMMER: Yes. Chris Brown has just responded to Rihanna`s chilling, graphic very first interview about the night he beat her up. And I am not alone in saying, Chris, give it a rest. Dude, you are not doing yourself any favors, OK?
There was absolute outrage today after Brown just could not resist yet again stumbling while trying to climb his way out of a deep, deep hole that he`s dug for himself after the night that he battered Rihanna. And it made for big news breaking today.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
RIHANNA, SINGER: I was battered. I was bleeding. I was swollen in my face.
HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Rihanna`s first TV interview about her abusive relationship with Chris Brown was a major event.
RIHANNA: The whole thing plays back in my head.
HAMMER: Brand-new numbers show more than eight million people watched ABC`s "20/20" on Friday night as Rihanna told her chilling story about the night Chris Brown beat her bloody.
And she revealed for the very first time that she witnessed her father abuse her mother when she was a child.
RIHANNA: I always said to myself, I`m never going to date somebody like my dad.
HAMMER: But on top of all the outrage Chris Brown has already earned for beating Rihanna, he is now managing to get people angry at him all over again.
APRIL WOODARD, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: He needs to stop talking. He has got diarrhea of the mouth.
HAMMER: On the very night Rihanna gave her tell-all, Brown was on MTV with his own.
CHRIS BROWN, SINGER: ... how do you learn from your mistakes, and I need to apologize and help other people with the situation.
HAMMER: Also that night, Chris Brown released a brand-new statement to MTV suggesting Rihanna shouldn`t be talking at all. He writes, quote, "While I respect Rihanna rights to discuss this specific event of February 8, I maintain my position that all the details should remain a private matter between us."
WOODARD: He is saying, you know, "She should be quiet because what we went through is a private matter." Again, denial. Again, trying to brush it under the rug.
HAMMER: Now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Brown is being accused of hogging Rihanna`s spotlight. The headline on "PerezHilton.com" is blunt, to say the least. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT viewers are expressing similar sentiments on our Facebook page.
WOODARD: I don`t think people think it`s Chris Brown`s right to decide whether Rihanna should speak about this about this or not. So he should just remain silent. If she wants to speak about it, that`s her right to do so.
HAMMER: In her ABC interview, Rihanna had strong words for those who suggest she may have provoked the beating from Brown.
RIHANNA: That`s ignorance, I can say that.
DIANE SAWYER, HOST, "20/20": Did you hit him? Did you ever say to yourself, "That was my fault"?
RIHANNA: No. I did not hit him. It was an argument.
SAWYER: A verbal argument.
RIHANNA: Verbal.
HAMMER: And as far Chris Brown goes, she is scoffing at his recent attempts to publicly apologize to her. About that song he wrote for her.
(MUSIC PLAYING)
SAWYER: When you heard it, what did you think?
RIHANNA: I didn`t hear it.
HAMMER: And about that YouTube video which she watched for the very first time during the interview.
BROWN: I told Rihanna countless times and I`m telling you today that I am truly, truly sorry.
RIHANNA: Sounds like he might have been reading off of a teleprompter.
HAMMER: That`s not keeping Brown from trying again to apologize. In his MTV statement Friday night, Brown said, "I am extremely sorry for what I did and I accept accountability for my actions." Still, Rihanna doesn`t seem interested.
SAWYER: What are do you want to hear from him?
RIHANNA: Nothing. What I want him is for him to accept this as a man would and not find a way to feel sorry for himself.
HAMMER: So it appears Brown`s words are having no effect on Rihanna or on his extremely damaged image.
WOODARD: Every time he says something, he digs his hole a little deeper.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: So was Chris Brown completely out of line for what he said about Rihanna finally telling the truth about the night he beat her up?
Joining me tonight in Hollywood, Hyla, who is an entertainment journalist for "5DollarPrep.com." And in New York, Megan Alexander who is a correspondent for "Inside Edition."
Hyla, Megan, people everywhere outraged today over Chris Brown issuing a statement responding to Rihanna`s "20/20" interview. And I think Perez Hilton summed it up perfectly when he wrote on his Web site. He wrote this, "Princess RiRi can talk all she wants. She is the victim in this situation, not Chris."
Megan, should Chris just shut up and let Rihanna tell her story?
MEGAN ALEXANDER, CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": You know, Brooke, I really do think so. He has apologized which he did a while ago. But then, to continue to come out and make these little comments is not doing him any good.
Rihanna made an interesting comment when she said she wanted him to take it like a man. I think silence could speak a thousand words here. He needs to be silent, show respect to this woman. She has earned the right to talk.
ANDERSON: Certainly. And every time he opens his big mouth, it just sounds like he is paying lip service. Hyla, is Chris just out of his mind to give a statement saying the details of the night he beat Rihanna are private? Didn`t he lose his privacy when he committed this heinous crime?
HYLA, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST, "5DOLLARPREP.COM": Of course. When you hit another woman, especially someone - a public figure like Rihanna, you lose all rights to dictate how this plays out especially in the press.
Two points I want to make. First of all, your publicity team, Chris. Fire them immediately, because whoever is advising you, they are a bunch of morons and they`re doing nothing but bringing you backwards and not forward.
Second of all, you`ve got to be sincere. It`s great you are saying these words, but what`s behind it? People can tell - people can see. I mean, the guy can`t even sit up in an interview. When he`s talking to (INAUDIBLE) he`s got his cap on and he looks like a punk.
ANDERSON: Yes. He is not truly remorseful and it`s obvious from his appearance, his demeanor, his temperament. And to me, one of the most chilling parts of Rihanna`s "20/20" interview came when she described in her own words what happened the night of the attack. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
RIHANNA: I was battered. I was bleeding and I was swollen in my face. So there was no way of me getting home except for - my next option was to get out of the car and walk, start walking, in a gown and a bloody face.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: After hearing something like this, Megan, I`m thinking the only words that should be coming out of Chris Brown`s mouth should be, "I`m sorry."
ALEXANDER: Indeed, Brooke. And he said that and then he really does need to be quiet. You know, this issue hits so close to home. We all have seen the Internet just blowing up with comments from women that are praising Rihanna for speaking out, supporting her, saying, you know, "We are so proud of you for talking about this issue."
It`s not easy to talk about. This is obviously a difficult situation. But I just want to praise Rihanna again for talking. And yes, Chris, it is not your turn to talk. You need to be quiet.
ANDERSON: No. He still feels some sort of sense of entitlement and it`s ridiculous. The guy is delusional and I agree with you. Rihanna is very, very brave for having done this.
And when Diane Sawyer asked Rihanna - listen to this - if there was any chance she would reunite with Chris, I think that everybody expected her to say no, hoped that she would say no. Instead, she left the door open and everybody wondering if she would one day take him back. Take a look.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
RIHANNA: I can`t answer that question right now because you never know what the future holds.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Hyla, after everything Rihanna has been through, were you shocked to hear that she would even entertain the possibility of getting back together with Chris Brown?
HYLA: My heart sank a little bit when I heard that. But putting things in perspective, she`s young. She`s figuring this out. I mean, it was just a couple of month that she was hanging out with him again.
I think she`s trying to figure this out on her own. She`s being adult about this. Let`s give her a chance to get to that point where she does close the door. I hope and I pray eventually she will get there.
ANDERSON: I do, too. She seems like a bright girl. I hope that she can stay away from Chris Brown for good. Megan Alexander, Hyla, we will leave it there for now. Thank you both.
HAMMER: As we move on tonight, it`s Taylor`s swift kick to Kanye West on "SNL".
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SWIFT (singing): You might be expecting me to say something bad against Kanye and how he ran up on stage and ruined my VMA monologue.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: And that`s not all. Wait until you see Taylor`s Kate Gosselin impression. So did Taylor knock it out of the park?
Also, the Carrie Prejean sex tape scandal. The former beauty queen became the poster girl, of course, for conservative values. And now, her own words are coming back to haunt her. Tonight, why people are saying Carrie is a big old hypocrite.
Also, deep dark star secrets.
WHITNEY HOUSTON, SINGER: We were lacing on marijuana.
OPRAH WINFREY, HOST, "THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW": You were freebasing cocaine?
HOUSTON: Basically.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Whitney is not alone. A bunch of big, big stars are revealing their deepest, darkest secrets. It is a not-to-be-missed SHOWBIZ special report. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.
It`s time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.
TEXT: Jackson family reality show to premiere December 13 on A & E. Lindsay Lohan`s father Michael subpoenaed in TLC`s lawsuit against Jon Gosselin.
HAMMER: You are watching SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN. Right now, you`ve got to keep on watching the bottom of your screen for more nonstop, compelling and provocative news from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(MUSIC PLAYING)
HAMMER: Britney strikes back. Wow. Britney Spears is mad, mad, mad about the huge scandal in Australia when it was discovered that - and I hope you are sitting down for this big breaking news - she was lip synching at her concerts. Oh, my goodness, Brooke. I had no idea.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
And tonight, Britney strikes back. We told you about the to-do over Britney Spears` "Circus" tour over there in Australia. A government official there was up-in-arms and thought the fact that Britney lip-synchs some parts of her concert - it is misleading to fans.
Well, this official wanted a disclaimer on the tickets that portions of the show would be prerecorded. Well, Britney has heard about this and she is said to be extremely upset about it.
Her tour manager says what put her over the edge were reports that fans walked out of a show in Perth because they were so disappointed. The manager said that is the biggest lie he has ever heard.
ANDERSON: Oh, brother. OK. Tonight, the war at night. Comedian George Lopez became the latest and newest late night warrior when his new show debuted tonight on TBS.
And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can now reveal right here, right now that with Lopez now on the battlefield, it`s just further proof that late night is not just a white male game anymore.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over): They`re bold.
GEORGE LOPEZ, COMEDIAN: If it was a real Mexican show, there would be plastic on the couch
ANDERSON: They`re brash.
WANDA SYKES, COMEDIAN: I`m happy to announce that I haven`t slept with anyone on my staff yet.
ANDERSON: And above all, they`re diverse.
MO`NIQUE, COMEDIAN: Hey, baby! Hey, baby!
ANDERSON: George Lopez, Wanda Sykes and Mo`Nique, actor-comedians of color, are joining the traditional late-night establishment of white, white, and more white men.
STUART LEVINE, ASST. MANAGING EDITOR, "VARIETY": I think it`s an untapped minority audience that these other networks are trying to get into.
ANDERSON: Mo`Nique debuted on BET last month. Sykes premiered over the weekend on Fox. And tonight, Lopez unveiled his late night show on CNN`s sister station, TBS.
LOPEZ: We can change the White House. We can change the late night TV. I think it`s time for a Latino to step in.
ANDERSON: Each hopes to put a different spin on late night. Sykes with light-hearted, round table. Lopez features a club-like atmosphere.
LOPEZ: You will see a show that does not have a desk. We do not have cards. It looks unscripted. It moves really fast.
ANDERSON: Lopez aims for an edgier feel than traditional late night shows, something he`s worked on in test runs.
LOPEZ: The monologues every night have been incredibly political and pointed. You know, we name names.
ANDERSON: While Lopez is the first Hispanic to host a late night talker on a major network, this isn`t the first time late night has sought younger, more ethnic audiences. Think Chris Ross(ph), Magic Johnson and Arsenio Hall. "Variety`s" Stuart Levine believes the recipe for success is simple.
LEVINE: I think they just have to be funny. You can be a minority host to get a minority audience, but if you are not funny, people aren`t going to watch.
ANDERSON: And with a potential historic change in television hanging in the balance, you can bet these comedians are working overtime to bring on the laughs.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
"Variety`s" Stuart Levine also told me that these late night shows are more financially viable options than the dwindling supply of fresh, syndicated shows in comedy.
HAMMER: So Brooke, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines have been loaded up. A lot of people calling in about Rihanna`s shocking tell-all interview about that night that Chris Brown beat her.
ANDERSON: Yes. A lot of strong opinions on this, A.J. We`ve got a call in to "Showbiz on Call" from Staci in Alabama who`s actually sticking up for Chris.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
CALLER: I`m calling about the Chris Brown situation. I`m saying people just need to give him a second chance. Everyone makes mistakes. Just think about how many people who have skeletons in their closet and how many people`s careers would be changed if those skeletons were to come out.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Thank you, Staci.
HAMMER: We also heard from Lynn who called in to "Showbiz on Call" from California. Now, Lynn says, and I agree with this, it took a lot of courage for Rihanna to speak out. And she knows from experience how hard it can be to leave an abuser.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
CALLER: I would like to applaud Rihanna for finally coming out. I was abused for 10 years by my kids` father. And for her stand up like that - it took 10 years for me to get out of this relationship. And every time I see somebody abused, I feel bad. We applaud Rihanna because she is probably saving somebody`s life. Thank you, Rihanna, for standing up.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
HAMMER: Thank you, Lynn. I urge you - I encourage you, please call us at "Showbiz on Call" and let us know what`s on your mind.
ANDERSON: The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are open 24/7. The number - 1-888-SBT-BUZZ; that`s 1-888-728-2899. Leave a voicemail and we will play some of your calls right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
Tonight, Taylor`s swift kick to Kate Gosselin on "SNL."
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SWIFT: Actually, you know, the hardest thing about being a mom is having patience because sometimes the paparazzi say they are going to be someplace at 10:00 and they don`t show up until 11:00.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: I think Taylor makes a pretty convincing Kate. There`s big buzz tonight about Taylor`s "SNL" performance. Did she hit it out of the park?
Also the Carrie Prejean sex tape scandal. The former beauty queen became the poster girl for conservative values. Now, her own words are coming back to haunt her. Tonight, why some people are saying Carrie is a huge hypocrite.
And did you see this? Absolutely unbelievable scenes from a college soccer game. This woman elbows the other team. She kicks. She pulls hair. It`s caught on tape. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.
HAMMER: Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.
TEXT: Jim Carrey in "A Christmas Carol" tops weekend box office with $31 million. Usher`s divorce from Tameka Raymond has been finalized.
You are watching SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN. And right now, I want you to keep on watching the bottom of your screen for more nonstop, compelling and provocative news from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(MUSIC PLAYING)
HAMMER: That`s Miley Cyrus` song party in the USA. You heard that line there about the Jay-Z song being on? Well, tonight, shocking shocker. Miley doesn`t even listen to Jay-Z. What is the world coming to?
It is true and I hate to be the one to break it to you. But you can`t believe everything that Miley Cyrus sings about in her songs.
Tonight, Miley is dissing Jay-Z. In an interview on Halloween for her Web site, "Miley World," the horrible truth came out. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Your song "Party in the USA" -
MILEY CYRUS, SINGER: Yes.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What Jay-Z song is this?
CYRUS: I don`t know. I didn`t write the song so I have no idea like, I - honestly, I picked that song because I needed something to go with my clothing line. I didn`t write it. And it wasn`t something that like, I even expected to be popular originally. It was just something that I wanted to do. And I needed some songs and it turned out that - you know, turned out for the best. But it was really like, unexpected. So -
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`ve got to have one in mind. "Big Pimpin`"? "Can I Get A"?
CYRUS: I never heard Jay-Z` songs. I don`t listen to pop music and I like - it`s not even my style of music - that song. But I`m just really - I`m really blest for it to have done as well as it has.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Miley, you`re an actress. You`ve got to fake it sometimes. Jay-Z is no the only one on Miley`s diss list. She also said she would never, ever cover her dad`s hit song, "Achy Breaky Heart."
ANDERSON: The SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook overrun with comments about Rihanna`s shocking tell-all about the night Chris Brown beat her.
Yvonne R. writes, "I`m glad she spoke out. I don`t feel kids should look up to stars, but they do. Maybe she will save a life."
All right. Some people question Rihanna`s timing, though. Amanda D. writes, "It is a little suspect that she does this right as her new album is about to hit the shelves. But that does not mean that this should have happened to her or anyone else."
I want to hear from you on Facebook and also follow us on Twitter for breaking entertainment news alerts. Sign up for our Facebook and Twitter pages at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.
And now, the SHOWBIZ lineup. Here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(MUSIC PLAYING)
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you tonight from Hollywood.
Tonight, a new sex tape shocker. Former Miss California beauty queen Carrie Prejean is in the thick of a sex tape scandal just as we learned today about part of her new tell-all book that reportedly bashes pornography.
Tonight, is Carrie Prejean a big hypocrite? Can Miss Family Values save her reputation after this outrageous double standard?
And well, we are on the topic of outrageous. Did you see this? Country music superstar Taylor Swift making fun of Kate Gosselin.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SWIFT: Actually, you know, the hardest thing about being a mom is having patience. Because sometimes the paparazzi say they are going to be someplace at 10:00 and they don`t show up until 11:00.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Everybody talking about Taylor Swift`s over-the-top spoof of Kate Gosselin on "Saturday Night Live." And wait until you see how she got revenge and let Kanye West have it.
HAMMER: I thought she was just awesome. I have become a big Taylor Swift fan, Brooke.
Joining me tonight in Hollywood is Hyla who is an entertainment journalist for "5DollarPrep.com." Tonight, in New York, is Megan Alexander who is a correspondent for "Inside Edition."
Let us begin with the Carrie Prejean sex tape shocker. Of course, this comes fresh on the heels of us learning that the new queen of family values made a graphic tape. TMZ today posted excerpts of Prejean`s new tell-all book which, among other things, bashes pornography.
Hyla, when I hear that, I`m thinking it`s about time to officially crown her Carrie Prejean, Miss Hypocrite 2009.
HYLA: A.J., you are giving her way too much credit. She is not a hypocrite. She is an idiot. She already dealt with this with topless photos. She just made the same mistake again. She completely lost her mind.
I don`t give her any credit for this. She should know better. If you take topless photos, they`re going to come out. If you make a sex video, it`s going to come out. These are no-brainers.
HAMMER: Yes. Know what you are writing, when you`re writing it and know that the other stuff is going to get out there. Very good point.
I would like to flash you back now, if I may. Carrie Prejean, of course, became a lightning rod earlier this year when she can gave a controversial answer to Miss USA pageant about whether same-sex marriage should be legalized. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CARRIE PREJEAN, FORMER MISS CALIFORNIA USA: In my family, I think that - I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that`s how I was raised and that`s how I think it should be - between a man and woman.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. The good old opposite-marriage answer. That made her, of course, a hero to champions of family values everywhere. But then, of course, came along the sex tape. And now, listen to what we learned about what she writes about in her new book.
I love this quote, "Our bodies are temples of the Lord. We should earn respect and admiration of our hearts and not for showing skin to look sexy. I have since learned that your outer beauty can only get you so far in life."
Megan, are you with me on the hypocritical idea here? Is there any way for Carrie Prejean to redeem herself?
ALEXANDER: Hey, I agree with this statement. It`s a good statement and maybe she has indeed seen the light. Rumors are this tape was possibly shot a couple of years ago. We are still not hearing all the details.
A.J., I`m so waiting for her to come out and talk about it. I would like her to admit that she made a mistake and deal with those consequences.
I mean, I just think honesty is the best policy. Days continue to go by and she is still not speaking about it. She is going to need to sooner or later.
HAMMER: You do get an impression that her actions sort of show that she`s aware of some hypocrisy. She was demanding $1 million from the Miss USA pageant after she sued them for firing her. But then, of course, she dropped the whole thing like a hot cake when they showed that they had the sex tape.
Up until then, Carrie was making her living, doing the rounds, speaking on the circuit about family values. She even got canned as a key speaker for family values at a conference that happened in New Jersey over the weekend. And at many of these conferences, she talked about that infamous gay marriage answer. Let`s watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
PREJEAN: In my head, I was thinking, "God, why is this question being asked?" But you know what? I`m going to deal with this question. I`m going to answer it to the best of my ability, stay true to who I am, what I believe and the way I was raised. And that`s it.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: And you hear her say, "true to who I am, the way that I was raised," which is really in stark contrast, I would think, to having a sex tape. And now, with the sex tape out, Hyla, I`m thinking, you know, what is going to happen with her career here? Somebody would have to be nuts to hire her now to speak on family values.
HYLA: Well, I have to disagree. Megan, I think she has been talking about it. I mean, she is completely being hypocritical, as we`re saying here, and no. No one can defend her now.
You can make a mistake with topless photos. I think a lot of young women get caught up in the modeling business. They make a mistake. They get manipulated. And they do that with the topless photos.
In terms of a sex tape, no. There`s too many things in a row here that shows who she really is as a person. And I`ll be interested to see, you know, what the conservative talking heads say about her now. Are the Bill O`Reillys of the world going to continue to defend her like they have?
HAMMER: Brooke, you are the voice of reason here. Let me go to you. Is anybody really ever going to be able to take Carrie Prejean seriously again? She`s got a deck stacked against her.
ANDERSON: It`s going to be difficult, A.J. And I happen to agree with Megan here. I really think that she needs to own up to her skeletons in the closet, talk about them openly and then try to move on with her life and with her career.
But even so, it`s going to be very difficult. I think a lot of people are not going to respect her or listen to her because of her actions, A.J.
And now, I do want to move to another big time shocker - Taylor`s swift kick to Kanye West and Kate Gosselin. Everybody could not stop talking today about Taylor Swift`s killer spoof on "Saturday Night Live" impersonating Kate Gosselin`s appearance on "The View." I`ve got to say, it`s pretty darn good. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
FRED ARMISEN, COMEDIAN: So what?
SWIFT: Ha ha, ha ha. You are so funny. Actually, you know what else is funny? How I got this hairstyle. My hairdresser was halfway through giving me the Rachel when his blow drier exploded on the back of my head.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Megan, what do you think? Does Taylor Swift nail Kate Gosselin?
ALEXANDER: She does. And there was a reason that Taylor is the youngest nominee for CMA`s Entertainer of the Year, the CMAs of this Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee. I`ll be there.
She is a talent and it shows. And laughter - you know, the way she deals with things - laughter is one of the best ways to deal with any embarrassment in your life or over just the Kanye West thing. I think she handled it beautifully. She nailed it. Great job.
ANDERSON: Yes. Keeping it light-hearted. Hyla, she seems like a natural, doesn`t she?
HYLA: You know, we know that Taylor Swift is a superstar in the music industry, but oh my god! Her potential is endless. I mean, if I`m a studio, I might want to make a movie out of her.
I mean, in the first half an hour, she takes out the Jonas brothers, "Twilight," Kanye West and Kate Gosselin. That`s amazing. Way to go, Taylor Swift.
ANDERSON: Who knew she was so funny? And speaking of Kanye, she let him have it in her very funny musical monologue. It was her revenge, in a way, for Kanye`s ambush of her at the Video Music Awards when he grabbed the mike from Taylor during her acceptance speech after she won the Best Female Video Award. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SWIFT (singing): You might be expecting me to say something bad about Kanye and how he ran up on the stage and ruined my VMA monologue. But there is nothing more to say because everything is OK. I have security lining the stage.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Megan, it was great. But, I think, in a way, that she let Kanye of the hook here. Was she maybe a little too nice? It was her chance. It was "SNL."
ALEXANDER: Oh, you know, I think she dealt with it in a mature way. I think she`s handled the situation well. I think - you know, she is a songwriter, too, which I have a lot of respect for. She writes a lot of her songs.
She`s always said situations in life are material for her and I think she just dealt with the material, did a great job on "SNL." And you know what? I still think she handled it well. Just laugh and move on - the best way to handle it.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Tonight, it`s a SHOWBIZ special report, "Dark Secrets of the Stars." From heartbreaking confessions of abuse to jaw-dropping revelations of incest, I can`t get over how many celebrities have recently decided to come out with their darkest secrets.
From Whitney Houston`s drug addiction to Michael Jackson`s tapes describing alleged brutal abuse by his father, tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reveals the most astounding, the most incredible, the most heartbreaking celebrity dark secrets ever.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over): Dark secrets from some of America`s most beloved celebrities.
HOUSTON: He`d spit on me. He`d actually spit on me.
HAMMER: Secrets we would never believe unless we heard it straight from their own mouths.
MACKENZIE PHILLIPS, ACTRESS: I started waking up in my father`s hotel room bed.
HAMMER: Secrets both shocking and heartbreaking.
M. JACKSON: He`d whip all over your face, your back - everywhere. And I`d always hear my mother say, "No, Joe, you`re going to kill him! You`re going to kill him! No!"
HAMMER: Whitney Houston stunned America when she confessed all to Oprah about her devastating drug use with now ex-husband, Bobby Brown.
WINFREY: You were free casing cocaine.
HOUSTON: Yes and weed.
WINFREY: So your drug of choice was weed combined with cocaine.
HOUSTON: Cocaine and rock cocaine.
JO PIAZZA, CNN.COM ENTERTAINMENT WRITER: She also dropped a lot of bombshells about her life with Bobby Brown and how emotionally abusive their relationship was.
HOUSTON: He started to paint in our room, in our bedroom. Eyes - just eyes. Evil eyes that were looking at a dozen points of the room.
HAMMER: But secrets don`t get much darker than Mackenzie Phillips` explosive revelations to CNN`s Larry King about her incestuous relationship with her father, John Phillips.
M. PHILLIPS: All I remember is arriving in the room, getting high and during a blackout, when you are not in your body, and then you come to in your body, I was in the act of having sex with my father.
HAMMER: Mackenzie`s bestselling book, "High on Arrival," revealed all the gruesome details of this dark secret she had carried for 31 years.
M. PHILLIPS: I said we need to talk about how I used the word "rape" for lack of a better word, how he raped me. And he said, "Raped you? Don`t you mean when we made love?" And I thought to myself, "Wow, I am so screwed."
HAMMER: Her claims divided her family.
CHYNNA PHILLIPS, MACKENZIE PHILLIPS` HALF SISTER: I won`t lie. It definitely had somewhat of a negative impact on the family and some of the relationships.
HAMMER: Mackenzie`s half-sister, Chynna, told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT she believes her sister and says it took a lot of courage to come out with such a painful and dark secret.
C. PHILLIPS: I can`t have any resentment. I just can`t. And I love my sister and I`m really, really proud of her.
HAMMER: And for Michael Jackson, many details of his own dark story didn`t fully come to until his tragic and sudden death in July.
PIAZZA: When Michael Jackson died, all of a sudden, the Pandora`s Box of dark secrets was open.
HAMMER: The world was shocked when investigators uncovered Jackson`s outrageous abuse of prescription painkillers, including a highly dangerous anesthetic called Propofol to help him sleep at night. It`s the drug that ultimately killed him.
One of the most alarming secrets and tragic of Jackson`s dark secrets were the audiotapes revealing Michael`s graphic descriptions of being abused by his father, Joe Jackson.
M. JACKSON: He makes you strip nude first. He`d oil you down. It would be a whole ritual - he`d oil you down so when the flip of the ironing cord hit you it just - you know. And it was just like me dying.
HAMMER: Rabbi Shmuley Boteach revealed these taped conversation with Michael to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
RABBI SHMULEY BOTEACH, FORMER SPIRITUAL ADVISER TO MICHAEL JACKSON: Even when I hear it now, it`s painful because it shows a side of Michael that is so contradictory to the superstar who played before millions of fans.
M. JACKSON: I would just give up. There was nothing I could do, you know? And I just hated him for it. Hated him.
BOTEACH: I don`t think Michael was ever known as a man. I don`t think we ever understood his brokenness. I think we judged him and we rejected him.
PIAZZA: I think that everyone - all of Michael Jackson`s fans still embrace him despite all of these things we are finding out after his death. But I think the thing about most pop stars, finding out the dark secrets actually makes us really love our celebrities that are pop stars even more than we did before.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: And tonight, yet another brand-new Michael Jackson secret revelation. Michael`s dad filed court papers to get an allowance from his late son`s estate. Michael, of course, didn`t include his dad in his will. Joe Jackson he is $15,000 worth of monthly expenses. Those were expenses that Michael was supposedly helping Joe out with before his death.
ANDERSON: OK. Did you see this? I think this could be one of the dirtiest, most outrageous sports videos I have ever seen. Take a look. University of New Mexico soccer Elizabeth Lambert elbowed, kicked and even grabbed an opponent`s ponytail and yanked her to a ground during a game versus Brigham Young.
Now, I know these ladies play hard. But this is disgusting and has caused coast to coast outrage especially because Lambert wasn`t even kicked out of the game.
But tonight, Lambert has apologized saying, quote, "I let my emotions get the best of me in heated situation. I take full responsibility for my actions and accept any punishment felt necessary.
And that punishment has been handed down. Lambert has been suspended from her team indefinitely. Better late than never, I guess.
HAMMER: Tonight, John Travolta speaks for the very first time since the tragic death of his teenage son, Jett. Travolta is opening up about his family is coping and the steps they`re taking each and every day to get by. John`s very emotional words in an interview just out today. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

HAMMER: John Travolta`s new movie "Old Dogs." Travolta stayed out of the spotlight quite understandably since the tragic death of his son. But tonight, he is coming out to promote the movie which is a real family affair.
John Travolta says he is struggling to make it every day since the death of his 16-year-old son, Jett. In his first interview since Jett`s death back in January, Travolta tells "USA Today" that he and his wife, Kelly Preston, and his daughter Ella Bleu are far from healed. But they are working on it hard and they`re getting religious counseling sessions almost every day.
The family has mostly been in seclusion, but Travolta is speaking out now. He says partly because of his nine-year-old daughter. She makes her movie debut in the new movie "Old Dogs" also starring her parents.
And Travolta says, quote, "We decided it was OK to come out and promote, to introduce her to the world and to her a beautiful future in film."
And sounds like Ella Bleu really does have the chops to have a great acting career. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT caught up with Robin Williams who co-stars in "Old Dogs" with the Travoltas. And he tells us Ella Bleu definitely has the acting bug. So what was it like seeing the Travolta family in action? Listen to what Robin told us.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
WILLIAMS: They`re sweet people and they`re so - and Ella is a really great actress. She`s instinctual. You didn`t have to - no one was coaching her. She knew what to do. And they let her do that because they knew it`s her film. Let her find her character. And she did.
There was nobody going, "You know, baby." You know, it was like when I did a movie with my daughter, Zelda. The first day, she said to David Duchovny, "I don`t think my character would do that." And I went, "Go, girl." You know, she is off and running. So was Ella. She was ready. Didn`t need to tell her anything. She`s got it.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: I think it is great that the Travoltas were able to work together on this film. And I imagine that Robin Williams served up some pretty good comic relief. "Old Dogs" will be in theaters, November 25th.
HAMMER: So on Friday, Rihanna opened up on TV for the very first time with dramatic details of the night that Chris Brown beat her. And we asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. This was it - "Rihanna`s Tell-All: Do you admire her for speaking out about her abuse?"
Just moments ago, I was handed these final results. Look at this - 59 percent of you said yes; 41 percent no.
Sue from Ohio writing, "I think Rihanna sent a great message. It was not acceptable to stay in the relationship. Way to go Rihanna!"
But Marie from Kentucky says, "I think it`s a slap in the face for the real victims of domestic violence. Rihanna is only trying to gain sympathy to promote her CD sales. How convenient. Where was she months ago?"
We do appreciate all your E-mails. Brooke, I disagree with that last E-mailer, just simply because Rihanna came out in the "20/20" interview and she said, "The reason you didn`t hear from me I was in denial. I just wanted to put it in the back of my head and not deal with it."
ANDERSON: Yes. If you watched that interview with Diane Sawyer, you saw that she really meant what she said and she does want to be a good role model for all the young girls out there.
HAMMER: Yes. I think she is very brave. And that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Remember, you can catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on the 11:00s - 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, and in the morning, 11:00 a.m. Eastern here on HLN.
