THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.
BROOKE ANDERSON, HLN HOST: Big news breaking right now on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Charlie Sheen`s rehab shocker. The star of America`s number one sitcom checks into rehab. Charlie`s wife also in rehab. His show, "Two and a Half Man," shut down.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CHARLIE SHEEN, ACTOR: What you don`t see is all the years of hard work and dedication it took to make me the happy-go-lucky drunken mess that I am today.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: The fired-up debate today - is Charlie`s career over?
Adam Lambert slams Susan. The "American Idol" star disses Susan Boyle`s singing today.
(SINGING)
Why he says her album made him laugh. Ouch. Hey, Adam, that`s so wrong.
And Jessica Simpson`s revenge. Jessica talks to Oprah. Will she slam John Mayer for spilling all of those sex secrets about her? Hey, Jen, you go get him.
ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.
ANDERSON: Hi, there. I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you from Hollywood.
And tonight, Charlie Sheen`s rehab shocker. There were brand-new mysterious, downright disturbing questions about the startling news that TV`s biggest and highest-paid sitcom star is back in rehab.
And a team of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT producers has been digging all day long to get some answers. What is the real reason Sheen went back to rehab? Is it connected to his wife being in rehab? What will happen to their two young children? And could "Two and a Half Men" become "One and a Half Men" or even be canceled?
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is here to tell you that each brand-new development made for big news breaking today.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(SINGING)
(voice over): It looks like "Two and a Half Men" is one man short. CBS has shocked Hollywood with the announcement that it is temporarily stopping production on TV`s number one comedy. The reason - well, that`s the other shocking announcement. The show`s star Charlie Sheen is going to rehab.
ERICKA SOUTER, STAFF WRITER, "US WEEKLY": His rep released a statement that she`s going for preventative measures. We`re not quite sure what that means. But we`re just taking a look at Charlie Sheen`s bad boy past. And we have to wonder - have these problems with drugs and alcohol crept up again?
ANDERSON: Sure, the "Charlie Sheen is in rehab" headline is something we`ve seen before in this troubled star`s long career of scandals, bad relationships and substance abuse including a cocaine overdose in 1998.
Sheen`s real life bad boy persona is behind roughly 90 percent of the punch lines on his show.
SHEEN: You know what the problem is - the women, the drinking. You guys look at me and think it`s easy.
ANDERSON: But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, this time, Sheen`s troubles aren`t so funny anymore. Today, Sheen`s shenanigans are threatening TV`s number one comedy and they could land him in prison.
SOUTER: He`s no stranger to trouble, but he`s always been able to bounce back. But this latest batch of problems - people really wonder if this is going to hurt his career.
ANDERSON: It`s been a rough couple of months for Sheen. Earlier this month, he was charged in a Colorado court for a Christmas Day incident with his wife of two years, Brooke Mueller. She had accused Sheen of brandishing a knife and threatening her.
BROOKE MUELLER, WIFE OF CHARLIE SHEEN: My husband had me with a knife and I fear for my life. And he threatened me.
ANDERSON: Sheen is charged with second degree assault, felony menacing, and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
SOUTER: He faces one to three years in prison if he`s convicted.
ANDERSON: The couple say they want to reconcile now. But now, Sheen`s wife is in rehab, too. She checked in soon after the Christmas Day incident. And making this his-and-her rehab stints even sadder, the couple have twin boys who turn one next month.
SOUTER: This is just a really sad circumstance for them.
SHEEN: You`re saying that advantageous to date more than one woman at the time? Good lord, man, you`re a genius.
ANDERSON: Despite all of Sheen`s issues, his show, "Two and a Half Men," had been chugging along. It`s recent new episode have gotten almost 18 million viewers. And the show continued taping even after Sheen`s domestic violence arrest.
SHEEN: What are you selling? Better not be your liver. I`ve got (UNINTELLIGIBLE).
ANDERSON: But today, Sheen`s rehab shocker has grounded "Two and a Half Men" to a halt. CBS executives are putting on a brave face saying they still support their star. But you to imagine Charlie Sheen`s rehab stay and pending criminal case must have them sweating bullets.
SOUTER: It`s shocking. It`s putting jobs in danger. It`s putting a successful show in danger. You know, they cannot be pleased with their number one star.
ANDERSON: So now with "Two and a Half Men" minus its main man, all of Hollywood wonders, have Charlie Sheen`s bad boy ways finally caught up with him?
(END VIDEOTAPE)
So could all this increase Charlie Sheen`s chances of going to jail? Joining me tonight from New York is Megan Alexander who is a correspondent for "Inside Edition." And in Hollywood, Leslie Marshall, who is the host of "The Leslie Marshall Show."
Ladies, while the jury is, of course, still out on how rehab is going to affect Charlie Sheen`s career, it may have a significant impact on the felony case against him for allegedly attacking his wife. Sheen is supposed to be arraigned in court on March 15th.
Megan, a whole lot of people are speculating today that this is a preemptive strike by Sheen`s lawyers to get that arraignment postponed. What do you think - convenient timing here?
MEGAN ALEXANDER, CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": Well, unfortunately, you never want to knock somebody if they truly are seeking help. But rehab has become a convenient place to go and a convenient thing to say when a celebrity gets in trouble.
This will be Charlie Sheen`s third stint in rehab. Hopefully, three times is a charm here, Brooke. But I`ve got to say, it`s stacked against him. I believe his lawyers came together and said, "This is your only option. You need to go." And let`s hope he cleans up his act.
ANDERSON: Yes. Let`s hope he does. Leslie, do you think that Sheen`s team is worried that if this case does go to trial, he`s got a good chance of losing here? I mean, he`s charged with a felony. He could be going to jail.
LESLIE MARSHALL, HOST, "THE LESLIE MARSHALL SHOW": I don`t think he will because, you know, Brooke, we are here in Hollywood. And I think a different set of rules apply to those in Hollywood.
It`s almost like, the more you fail, the more TV shows you get offered and the more money you make, unlike those of us in the normal world who would get fired. I think those who back him obviously are concerned if he, you know, were to be put in jail, what would happen.
But remember, entertainment is a business. And Charlie Sheen makes a lot of money for the network. His show does very well. So they`re going to back their winning horse even if he`s acting like an ass.
ANDERSON: Well, that`s a pretty appropriate comparison there. But Megan, I do want to ask you this because the show is the top-rated comedy on television. But do you think that the once-invincible, unaffected Sheen could take a major career hit? Quickly.
ALEXANDER: You know, Brooke, I think depending how he moves forward - he goes to rehab. Is he truly cleaning up his act? Also we hear that Child and Family Services may possibly be getting involved depending on their investigation and what they find and how he moves forward. I think he needs to be careful, I will say that.
ANDERSON: Child and Family Services did make what was called a routine visit to the Sheen home.
Well, there is other big news breaking today about Tiger Woods and an unbelievable beauty contest. Are you ready for this? Howard Stern`s beauty pageant for Tiger`s alleged mistresses. Back in just 30 seconds.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: As if Tiger Woods didn`t have enough problems right now - get a load of this. The news today that Howard Stern claims four of Tiger`s alleged mistresses have now signed up to join his proposed beauty contest for the mistresses. Howard first announced the contest on his XM Sirius radio show. Listen.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
HOWARD STERN, RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: We have $100,000 prize for the Tiger Woods mistress beauty pageant provided by our dear sponsor, "AshleyMadison.com," the only place you could be sure to have a discreet affair.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: $100,000?
STERN: Reminding you that Tiger Woods should have used that and he`ll still be on top of his game.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
ANDERSON: OK. Megan, let`s say the women will be judged in three categories - first, swim suit; second, personality; third, talent.
Leslie, I don`t know what`s worse, the fact that this contest is happening or the fact that some of the women are actually taking part?
MARSHALL: Great minds think alike. But you know what? This is quintessential Howard, so I think it`s worse that anybody accepted his invitation. I think it`s bad enough if you sleep with somebody`s husband as a woman. That`s a no-no. Don`t they know about Karma?
You commit adultery and now it`s like, "Hey, I`m going to put myself out there more and I`m going to wear a bikini. And I`m going to do it for cash. I think it`s disgusting -
ANDERSON: I don`t even want to call this a pageant.
MARSHALL: Yes.
ANDERSON: I don`t want to call it a pageant because there are respectful pageants out there like, say, Miss America. That doesn`t compare. So why don`t we just call this maybe parade of home wreckers, shall we?
And Howard Stern did reportedly reach out to Tiger`s wife, Elin, to ask her to be a judge in this contest. Megan, are you as horrified as I am?
ALEXANDER: Brooke, it`s appalling. It`s ridiculous. It`s in extremely poor taste. But on a broader level, Tiger Woods` former coach, Butch Harmon said when Tiger refused to take questions last Friday at his press conference, he said it appeared he thought this would all go away once he made a statement.
The point being that the interest will continue. Yes, this is horrific. And simply the interest in this story in general will continue. And the minute Tiger steps back on the golf course, those questions will come. He can refuse to answer them. But this just shows you the interest, the buzz continues.
ANDERSON: Yes. It`s not over. And I hope this judging request or whatever it is did not even get to Elin. She does not even need to be privy to this nonsense.
And really, the only good I can see coming out of this whole contest is if the woman who wins donates the money to maybe a charity for Pete`s sake. Otherwise, as far as I`m concerned, these women are a lost cause to society. Leslie, quickly, do I have that right?
MARSHALL: Oh, high five with you there, sister. I`ll tell you, if it was for charity, it would be a whole different thing. But that`s not what it`s about.
ANDERSON: Yes.
MARSHALL: They should be ashamed of themselves. They should have more respect for themselves as women. We need to show our young girls that we`re better than that, and these women are not showing that.
ALEXANDER: Well said.
ANDERSON: Respect has obviously gone out the window for these four ladies. Megan Alexander, Leslie Marshall, thanks. Have a great night.
It is Jessica Simpson`s revenge now. Jessica tapes a brand-new interview with Oprah. Here`s what I want to know - should John Mayer be scared? Remember how he spilled all those sex secrets about Jess? Will Jess fight back?
Also, big news breaking today. It was all-out octo-chaos on "The View" today. The octumom was on the couch with the ladies. Oh, and get this, she tells them she could have more kids. Are you kidding me? What is the matter with her? Fourteen is not enough? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: `70s heartthrob Leif Garrett pleads not guilty in felony drug possession case. Nancy Kerrigan`s brother released from jail on bail; he`s charged with assault on his dad.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
Tonight, Alec Baldwin, the smart Alec? The Oscars now less than two weeks away and this year, there is a big change in the show. Two hosts, "30 Rock" star, Alec Baldwin and Steve martin. Let me tell you, Alec has been super busy recently and I`m not just talking about his acting gigs.
Here`s "AMERICAN MORNING`s" Alina Cho for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
ALINA CHO, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice over): He`s the politically incorrect boss on "30 Rock."
ALEC BALDWIN, ACTOR: Watching your lefty homo erotic propaganda hour, yet.
CHO: And lets it hang all out in "It`s Complicated." Alec Baldwin is riding high on the big and small screen.
(on camera): Four Screen Actor Guilds` awards, two Golden Globes, two Emmys, back to back - did you ever think?
BALDWIN: No. No. No. But now that I have that -
CHO (voice-over): Now that he has that, the 51-year-old actor is doing this.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: If you could do it over again what advice would you give yourself?
BALDWIN: How many people here sing? Everybody but you. All right. That`s important.
CHO: Baldwin recently donated $1 million to his alma mater, the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, to provide scholarships to students who love the craft and demonstrate financial need.
BALDWIN: I want to sit in on some of the auditions and they said to me, we think it`s a little distracting.
CHO (on camera): Distracting.
BALDWIN: Or off putting. You being there during their audition.
CHO: I think so.
BALDWIN: And I said oh, that`s funny I never thought of it that way. I thought that they would enjoy that.
CHO (voice-over): Baldwin is passionate about giving back in the same way he is passionate about classical music. So much so, he signed on to be the radio announcer for the New York Philharmonic.
BALDWIN: It`s the thing I wish I had done that with my life.
CHO (on camera): Really?
BALDWIN: Yes, totally. To conduct. To be the executive director of a symphony. What could be better than that?
CHO (voice-over): Maybe this. Baldwin is rehearsing for his next gig.
STEVE MARTIN, ACTOR: Hi. I`m Steve Martin.
CHO: He and his co-star from "It`s Complicated" Steve Martin are co- hosting the Oscars.
(on camera): Are you nervous?
BALDWIN: Oh very. I`ve never been more nervous about a job in my life.
CHO (on camera): Really?
BALDWIN: Never.
CHO: What makes you nervous about it?
BALDWIN: Because the show is not about us. You`re like a waiter. You`re not the show. You`re not the meal. You know what I mean? We`re there to bring out the people that are the nominees.
CHO (voice-over): More dignified than funny, but humor, he says, will play a role, just like it does in the movies.
(on camera): Can we talk a bit about the laptop scene?
BALDWIN: If you want to.
MARTIN: Mother. What? No.
BALDWIN: It tells me a lot about you, Alina. But go right ahead. We`ll do that if we must. If you need to satisfy some need you have.
CHO: Oh, my God.
BALDWIN: Shave the hair. Spray tan. Man, I look like a gigantic lobster up there. I`ve never really known.
CHO (voice-over): It worked. "It`s Complicated" has grossed $200 million worldwide.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Will do you it?
BALDWIN: I don`t know. I`m not an actor.
CHO: But Baldwin, a tabloid fixture, says acting has taken its toll, so he plans to quit once his contract with "30 Rock" expires in 2012.
BALDWIN: As much as I like acting, I know that I would love to have a different life. A private life. Yes. I mean, I think that doing this now for a living has become really, really hard. It`s really hard. And I would rather go do other things and have whatever amount of time I have left in my life, have more of a normal life.
CHO (on camera): Is that possible? You`re already famous?
BALDWIN: Well, I want to find out how close can I get.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: That was CNN`s "AMERICAN MORNING`S" Alina Cho for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. And don`t forget, you can watch Alec Baldwin host the Oscars on March 7th. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT will be live at the Oscars. It`s the SHOWBIZ "Road to Gold" with two very special shows on Oscar night.

You know, a lot of people thought Tiger Woods may have deserved an Oscar for that shocking TV apology to his wife and his family for his serial cheating. You know, I thought he was sincere. I thought he meant every word that he read.
But our "Showbiz on Call" operators just aren`t buying it, I`m just saying. Our phones are still ringing nonstop about this one.
We`ve got a call into a "Showbiz on Call" from Josie in Nebraska. She thinks Tiger also needs to apologize to all those women he allegedly cheated with.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
JOSIE, CALLER FROM NEBRASKA: I think Tiger Woods absolutely needs to apologize to these women. If he is truly trying to make amends and working the sex therapy program, I would think that that would be part of it.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Thanks, Josie. Mary calling into "Showbiz on Call" from Georgia thinks all of the women should say they are sorry to Tiger`s wife.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
MARY, CALLER FROM GEORGIA: Why don`t they apologize to Tiger Woods` wife? They committed a sin too and had an affair with a married man. In fact, maybe they should apologize to their parents for being such an embarrassment to their family.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Amen, sister. Thank you, Mary. Call us at "Showbiz on Call" and let us know what you think about this or anything else that is on your mind. The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are open 24/7. (END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Kelly Ripa has got love written all over her wrist. Kelly showed off her brand-new tattoo today on "Regis and Kelly." The tattoo as you saw says "Consuelos" which is her husband Mark`s last name.
Now, here`s the big question, will Regis get tatted up next? Reg actually says he would think about it.
Now, I`m really excited for this. It is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT "More" magazine`s hottest couples that we just love. I`m talking about a capital L. These perfect pairs have been together a long time despite being in the spotlight.
Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon, Sandra Bullock and Jesse James, Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford and Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, also Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith. "More" magazine`s Susan Swimmer says it`s really amazing how these Hollywood couples make it work.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SUSAN SWIMMER, "MORE" MAGAZINE: I think definitely keeping a marriage together in Hollywood is a lot harder than keeping a marriage together in rest of the world. They are probably in a fish bowl.
Their lives are pretty intense. Their work is pretty intense. And I think it`s really interesting these couples have kept it together.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.
(MUSIC)
ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you from Hollywood.
And tonight, Jessica Simpson`s revenge. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has just learned the curvaceous superstar taped an explosive interview with Oprah today. And tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT asked the burner question, will Jessica get her revenge on John Mayer on "Oprah?"
Will Jessica strike back against Mayer for calling her his sexual napalm? In his kiss-and-tell interview, John revealed way too much about their sex lives when they dated back in 2006. So tonight, we want to know, should John be bracing himself for the wrath of Jessica?
ANDERSON: Also, the octumom wants another baby. Are you kidding me? The mother of 14 kids, Nadya Suleman, appeared on "The View" and dropped bombshell after bombshell about wanting another kid, about whether she`s mentally unstable and about her signature and very unique laugh.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": That`s a crazy laugh, girl.
JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": One wacky laugh.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Joining me tonight in New York, Megan Alexander, who is a correspondent for "Inside Edition." And tonight, in Hollywood, Leslie Marshall, who is the host of "The Leslie Marshall Show."
Megan, Leslie, I want to begin with Jessica Simpson and her sit-down today with Oprah. And it`s going to air in a couple of weeks, actually.
Leslie, here`s what I think - Jessica should take the high road here despite the despicable things that Mayer revealed about the sex life. What are your thoughts? What do you think?
MARSHALL: Brooke, one of reasons you and I get along so well is we agree so often. I`m with you on this. I mean, all of us are saying what a scumbag John Mayer is for talking about her and Jennifer Aniston, kissing and telling.
And she should take the high road, because I think people will respect her more and it`s just the right thing to do for her to just say, "John who?"
ANDERSON: Yes. And in one regard, I say go get them. But by saying that, I mean, if you`re disappointed in what he said, say so. He needs to know from you that he goofed if you feel that way. But at the same time, stay classy.
Allow me to read a quote here from Mayer`s controversial "Playboy" interview about Simpson. He said and I quote here, "That girl is like crack cocaine to me and drugs aren`t good for you if you do lots of them. Sexually, it was crazy. It was like napalm, sexual napalm."
So John actually said he wanted to snort Jessica. Well, she didn`t really respond to the comment except for a cryptic tweet. So Megan, is this Oprah interview the perfect time for sweet revenge against John? Or do you think she should take the high road?
ALEXANDER: Brooke, one of my favorite quotes is, "You cannot get ahead when you are too busy getting even." And a seat on Oprah`s couch is a very coveted one. She should not mention John Mayer. She should take advantage of this time with Oprah.
And I want to hear her talk about her new reality show, "The Price of Beauty." Oprah`s audience is mainly made up of women. What a perfect audience to talk about the pressure she feels in the spotlight, her body image issues. Take advantage of the conversation with Oprah and give us a great hour.
ANDERSON: Yes. Oprah probably will ask about John Mayer, though. It`s going to be interesting to see if she deflects that in some way. Keep it high brow - that`s what I say.
I want to move now to another truly outrageous story making big news today. Is the octumom going to have another child? The mother of 14 appeared on "The View" today for what was truly a chaotic and bizarre interview where she admitted that down the road, hey, another kid - not out of the question. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ELISABETH HASSELBECK, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Is this it for kids for you?
NADYA SULEMAN, OCTUPLET MOTHER: Oh, yes. Oh, yes, yes, yes. Absolutely. Someday, far, far, far, far in the future when they are older if, you know, God willing, I meet somebody -
(CROSS TALK)
But I`m not going to say 100 percent no, I`m not going to, someday, far in the future, get married and want a baby.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Maybe not now. But octumom says she may not be done yet having babies. Leslie, is this woman serious? I think this is ridiculous.
MARSHALL: You know, if we can`t lock her up, can we lockup her uterus? I mean, seriously - I`m just thinking a guy is going to be like, "Look, I love you. I want all these children. And now, let`s make more?"
Again, how do you pay for all of these kids? So I don`t know if she said that to be so provocative. She wasn`t thinking. Or she`s really believing the Cinderella/Snow White/Prince in the Castle forgetting the kids she already has. I think she clearly needs more help.
ANDERSON: Well, I think she needs to take a step back, look at what she`s saying objectively and realize this is not in her best interest, the best interest of her 14 children or taxpayers, speaking of how she`s paying for a lot of it. Megan, I think the octumom needs to get a grip.
ALEXANDER: Yes. It is very true. It was one of the most chaotic interviews ever on "The View."
ANDERSON: Yes.
ALEXANDER: And you know, Brooke - you know what I kept thinking was she could barely answer the questions of five women in one hour. How does she handle 14 children every day?
ANDERSON: Good point.
ALEXANDER: I also thought she was struggling to answer those questions. I think she was struggling with how to answer them, who she really is. I think she`s figuring out her identity along the way.
All of this attention has just come so quickly for her. And she`s continuing to just find her way through the situation. I actually thought it was rather sad.
ANDERSON: Yes. It was. It was. She did say she had three nannies, was it, during the day. But 14 kids - that works out to four or more children per nanny. That`s still a big handful.
And the octumom did go on to admit that she was delusional when she decided to have her octuplets. She said that. So Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters really grilled her on it and asked her if she was mentally unstable. You`ve got to watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BARBARA WALTERS, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AND CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Let me follow up on Whoopi`s question.
SULEMAN: Yes. You know what? Let me answer.
WALTERS: Do you think you were all there?
SULEMAN: I think, absolutely. I want to answer it this way. In true, genuine mental illness, we all know that if you are exposed to extraordinary stressors in any way, you will most likely not be able to tap inside yourself and pull out the reserves and pull out the resources and strengths you need to survive and continue to cope and continue to stay afloat. If I were genuinely, you know, mentally unstable, I would have drowned from the beginning.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Let`s face it. It`s a question we`ve all been wondering about, right? And I get the feeling that the octumom is wondering the same thing herself. Leslie, what does the octumom`s answer say to you?
MARSHALL: What do they say a lot of people have to do first when it comes to any kind of mental illness or an addiction? It is, admit. And this is a woman, I think, clearly in denial perhaps about how many issues she might have mentally and emotionally.
Because obviously, you have issues to want this much and need this much attention, unconditional love for that many children, et cetera. Because she said she would be drowning. But I think she is drowning to a degree, if nothing else, financially.
ANDERSON: Yes. Well said, Leslie. And nothing was off limits today, including HLN`s own Joy Behar who asked the octumom pretty bluntly where she gets all her energy. You`ve got to watch this part.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SULEMAN: I`m so energetic that - and I`m writing. And I didn`t realize what kind of -
BEHAR: Are you on something at all?
SULEMAN: Yes. My energy level - it`s called DNA. It`s called DNA, because my mom is in her 70s as just as many energy.
BEHAR: Yes. So it`s natural?
SULEMAN: I don`t want to be like this.
SHEPHERD: You got this - it`s so funny, you`ve got this maniacal laugh that throws everybody - that laugh is just like -
SULEMAN: I try to suppress it. Someone told me I need a laugh coach.
SHEPHERD: That is a crazy laugh, girl.

ANDERSON: Megan, a lot of attention paid to that laugh during the interview. Is it possible she could go down in infamy, not only for having the 14 kids, but for the laugh? Very quickly.
ALEXANDER: Yes, it is a bit of her trademark, isn`t it? You know, Brooke, I do think this raises the point just because she had eight babies, is she super mom and can she handle all these questions?
ANDERSON: Yes.
ALEXANDER: You know, I do think it would be difficult for anyone to sit on a couch at "The View."
ANDERSON: Yes. Megan Alexander, Leslie Marshall, we`ll leave it there. Thanks, ladies.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Tiger Woods` TV apology was watched by nearly seven million people. "Avatar`s" director says Matt Damon and Jake Gyllenhaal both turned down lead role.

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
And just in today, the world will be safe once more. Jack Bauer is back on "24." Paula Abdul goes her own way without Oprah Winfrey. And another explosive fight over Janet Jackson`s infamous wardrobe malfunction. Remember that? Of course you do. It`s all making big news in the buzz today.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice over): A new battle over Janet Jackson`s wardrobe malfunction. An incredible six years after Justin Timberlake exposed Janet Jackson during Super Bowl halftime show, CBS is back in court again.
A federal court threw out a $550,000 government fine against CBS because of Janet`s overexposure. But the U.S. Supreme Court ordered another review. The FCC is now arguing in court CBS knew the show could be indecent. CBS says not true.
Back to "24." Fox has just revealed Kiefer Sutherland will return to the set after getting out of the hospital reportedly for cyst surgery. The surgery forced Fox to shut down the set for two weeks. Sutherland is expected back on Monday. And none of this will affect the airing of shows this season.
Is Paula Abdul going to work for Oprah? Oprah is responding for the first time to a report that Abdul would be shooting a pilot for a possible show on Oprah`s upcoming new cable network that will feature celebrity guests and inspirational stories. But a spokesperson for Oprah now tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT there is no truth to the report.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: But don`t worry. It looks like Paula has got a lot of projects in the works. But my question is, will her fans follow? Just hours ago, millions watched as "Idol`s" top 12 guys sang their hearts out without Paula there.
So I`ve got to wonder, are "Idol" fans missing Paula or is she a thing of the past? I`ve just got the absolutely shocking results of our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day.
We asked, "`American Idol`: Do you miss Paula Abdul?" Forty-four percent of you say yes and 56 percent say no. So are "Idol" fans over Paula?
Joining me tonight in Hollywood is Terri Seymour who is a correspondent for "Extra." Also tonight, in New York, is Ben Widdicombe who is a celebrity journalist.
Terri, Ben, great to see you. And I think we can all remember when Paula, of course, left "American Idol," famously left over a reported contract and salary dispute. At the time, I thought it was a colossal mistake.
And here we are, some six months later, more half of the people who voted in our poll are saying, "Paula who?" Terri, do you think that Paula waited a little bit too long to make her next big move?
TERRI SEYMOUR, CORRESPONDENT, "EXTRA": Absolutely not. Paula still has a huge fan base. And you know, I personally know Paula has had a lot of big offers. And it`s just a case of what is she going to choose to do next.
ANDERSON: Big offers. Well, speaking of potentially something big in the future, Terri, you recently spoke to Simon Cowell. Did he give you any hints that Paula may join him on his new show, "X Factor?"
SEYMOUR: One thing I can say is that I know - you know, Simon and Paula - they`re like a match made in heaven, aren`t they? And Simon absolutely adores her. They would, at least, be doing something else together in the future.
ANDERSON: Well, he`s been cagey, of course, about his strategy going forward, obviously, no doubt to build anticipation for "X Factor." We`ll just have to wait and see.
I`ve got to move on to another big story just in today. Adam Lambert slamming Susan Boyle. Adam is taking on Boyle after her album left his in the dust, outselling him by miles.
Now, in a brand-new interview with "Britain`s Gay Times," Adam is actually making fun of Susan`s album, reportedly saying this, quote, "I`m happy for her success but that album is terrible. `Wild Horses` is the one that made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it. I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous sacrilegious treatment of that song."
Personally, I happen to think Susan sounds lovely on her new disk and with worldwide sales of an estimated eight million copies. I think she`s the one that could be laughing at Adam. Ben, do you think it sounds like a case of sour grapes here?
BEN WIDDICOMBE, CELEBRITY JOURNALIST: Well, I`m surprised Adam wasn`t more generous about Susan, especially since they both shot to fame in very similar ways. They both became famous after coming second in a television talent contest. Having said that, I kind of agree with him. I think the "Wild Horses" version is terrible.
ANDERSON: No.
WIDDICOMBE: I mean, clearly, Susan is popular with the kind of people who enjoy Christmas albums, which is not Adam`s demographic necessarily. But I`m surprised he wasn`t more polite about it, frankly.
ANDERSON: Yes. Me, too. She`s obviously got a lot of people who do love that song and that album. And I just think it was insensitive and uncalled for. And I just don`t know why people feel that they have to pick on Susan Boyle. It`s rude. It`s cruel.
And I`ve got to move now to more big Susan Boyle news just in today. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT got an advanced copy of this week`s "People" magazine. Get a load of this - Susan Boyle on the cover. The headline reads, "Is fame hurting her?"
Let`s not forget, as you said, Ben, Susan literally an overnight sensation. But in this brand-new interview out Friday, Susan`s brother John tells "People" that she`s still lonely and she`s still is in need of 24-hour care.
I think that`s a shame. I think that`s sad, because we`re all rooting for Susan Boyle. But Terri, is Susan just not cut out for fame? It`s a lot of pressure.
SEYMOUR: It is a lot of pressure. And we all know, you know, she`s a very vulnerable woman. But she`s living her dream. This is something she`s always, you know, dreamed about. And now, she`s experiencing it.
And I know that her management team - she has an amazing management team. You know, she has 24-hour care. Simon personally picks up the phone and calls her, like, every three weeks. So she`s really being well taken care of.
ANDERSON: Yes. That`s nice to hear. You guys - it`s no secret though that Susan did have an emotional breakdown right after losing "Britain`s Got Talent." But despite all the drama, she recently said in an interview with CBS Sunday morning that she`s found a way to deal with it all.
She said that she`s got a handle on this whole fame thing. Still, her brother claims Susan has bouts with emotional up and downs. Ben, given all these concerns about her health, quickly, would it be better for her to walk away?
WIDDICOMBE: Well, I think Susan is living the life she`s chosen for herself. She can`t wave a magic wand and become un-famous.
But she could say, "Listen, I don`t want to release any more albums. I won`t do any more TV appearances because this lifestyle doesn`t suit me." I think she`s pressing it on and making it work in her own way.
ANDERSON: Yes. And like Terri says, she is living her dream. We hope that she continues to do that. We wish her the best. Terri Seymour, Ben Widdicombe, thank you both.

ANDERSON: Tonight, startling new evidence that dogs everywhere are wild for the NBC hit show "Law and Order." It`s a four-legged fan base that I`m sure the suits over at NBC never thought about.
But tonight, we`ve got indisputable evidence that "Law and Order" has gone to the dogs. But it`s not exactly indisputable evidence. It`s what I like to call YouTube evidence.

So cute. And just in today, Chris Brown comparing himself to Tiger Woods. In a brand new interview, Chris even says he supports Tiger.
We all know Chris was in a massive scandal of his own after brutally attacking his then-girlfriend Rihanna last February. Chris made his own public apology just like Tiger.
Now, Chris Brown is making the shocking revelation that, just like him, Tiger deserves a second chance. Comparing serial cheating to beating up your girlfriend - is he for real? Listen to what Chris just said on the "Mojo in the Morning" radio show.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
CHRIS BROWN, SINGER: I think people always deserve a second chance. And I know if my fans give me a second chance and people give me a second chance, whatever his personal life is and I think this goes for me and him.
Like I`ve been saying, his personal life is his personal life. Like nobody has the right to place judgment or make any judgment on somebody else`s version of life when they`re not directly involved with them.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Chris also reveals that he would like to reach out to Tiger Woods sometime in the future to offer support.
On Tuesday we asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Just moments ago we got the final results. Here it is - "American Idol: Do you miss Paula Abdul?" Forty-four percent of you do, but 56 percent of you don`t miss her at all.
Here are some of the E-mails we received. Jenna from South Carolina, "Paula left and turned the lights out on `Idol.` The show has no personality anymore and no chemistry at the judges` table. I didn`t think it would be this boring without her, but it is."
Donna from Alabama, "I refuse to watch `American Idol` as long as Ellen is on there. Can Ellen and bring back Paula."
And that`s a wrap for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you so much for watching. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Don`t forget, you can catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on the 11:00s - 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, also every morning, 11:00 a.m. Eastern here on HLN.
