ANDERSON: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Sandra`s secrets. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned remarkable new details today about how Sandra Bullock managed to hide one of Hollywood`s best kept secrets ever - that she had adopted a baby boy. And how she kept that secret even with all the intense scrutiny she was under as her husband`s cheating scandal exploded.
What we learned today is truly extraordinary. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can now reveal that what Sandra Bullock pulled off may become a legendary blueprint and battle plan for other stars years to come. So how in the world did she do it?
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over): After news broke that Sandra Bullock`s husband, Jesse James, had an alleged year-long affair with a stripper, this was the daily scene in front of Sandra`s home. So how in the world was Sandra able to hide the biggest news of her life, that she had secretly adopted the new love of her life, Louis Bardo Bullock, in January?
MARVET BRITTO, THE BRITTO AGENCY: It`s shocking but it really speaks to her pedigree in how much (AUDIO BREAK) to create a loving environment, a nurturing environment for another individual.
ANDERSON: "People" magazine`s senior writer David Caplan tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT keeping her 3-month-old son Louis a secret was no easy task.
DAVID CAPLAN, SENIOR WRITER, "PEOPLE" MAGAZINE: Sandra tells "People" that really keeping Louis a secret was essentially like a CIA type of mission. Even the people she worked with, like her makeup artist and stylist didn`t know.
ANDERSON: Something as simple as a visit to the doctor`s office was, for Sandra and Louis, top secret mission that Sandra describes as filled with decoys and dark cars.
CAPLAN: She really had sort of almost like all these tricks of like not letting people know. But she said for her, Louis privacy was paramount to everything.
ANDERSON: And she was even able to keep sweet Louis a secret during the awards season, leading up to her big Oscar win. She tells "People," "We didn`t want Louis pulled into the awards season energy. I wanted him all to myself."
CAPLAN: For example, she wouldn`t want to have fittings at her home when it came to awards season. She`d go elsewhere at a hotel so people wouldn`t know.
ANDERSON: And somehow she pulled it off. When you look at her, glowing on the red carpet, it`s hard to believe that she was exhausted like any new mom going on three hours` sleep.
CAPLAN: Little did anyone know, in fact, that she tells "People," inside her purse, that night on Oscar night, she had socks of Louis in her purse which kept falling out. And she said it was so funny that no one was ever asking her, you know, "What`s with that little sock you have in your purse?"
ANDERSON: And Sandra admits to "People" magazine she finds the parallels from her own life and her Oscar-winning movie, "The Blind Side," pretty amazing. She says, "I had to smile at the parallels. Here I was promoting a story `The Blind Side` about a family who adopted a son. And here we were, having done the same thing."
And when Sandra won the Oscar for Best Actress for the movie, well, her acceptance speech has a whole new meaning when she said, "I would like to thank what this film is about for me, the moms that take care of the babies and the children no matter where they come from. Those moms and parents never get thanked."
BRITTO: She was one of those moms. She was one of the very mothers that she was paying homage to.
ANDERSON: What`s most stunning of all is that went from being intensely secretive and private after Jesse`s infidelity to telling "People" magazine everything, from the new baby, the divorce, her husband`s infidelity - everything.
CAPLAN: This interview with Sandra was really shocking because she really did open up. So for her to be so forthcoming, it`s almost unprecedented with the celebrities.
ANDERSON: And in the process she might have done Louis an immense service. By releasing photos of him in "People" magazine, she just may have knocked down the high bounty on future paparazzi photos.
CAPLAN: For her, it was releasing this information on her own terms. She didn`t want this information trickling out. She just wanted to do it on her own terms.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: And good for her. Sandra really has handled this crisis on her own terms with dignity and privacy. She compares keeping the baby Louis secret to a CIA mission. But you know, she may need the steely nerves of a secret agent to deal with the onslaught that her divorce battle could create.
Right now, in New York, is Vicky Ziegler. She is an attorney specializing in family law. In Atlanta is Vinnie Politan, who is a host on "In Session" on Tru TV.
Hey, Vicky, Vinnie, I am still picking my jaw up from the floor today as details of Sandra`s secret adoption are revealed. And we`re not the only ones who are surprised by this shocking turn of events.
We just got the results of our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll today in which we asked - "Sandra Bullock Adopts a Baby: Are you surprised she kept it a secret for so long?" Forty-two percent of you are totally shocked. But a little more than half - 58 percent - take a look - weren`t surprised at all.
Now, I know there are plenty of secrets lurking in Hollywood`s shadows. But considering the intense spotlight on Sandra between the Oscars and her husband`s cheating scandal, Vinnie, were you stunned that Sandra was able to keep this a secret for so long?
VINNIE POLITAN, HOST, "IN SESSION" ON TRU TV: I really was because of the level of the scrutiny. And you know how valuable that information would have been. You would think people had to know and people would have an opportunity to sell that information because some people buy it.
Really a great job. I think she did what was best for her and her family, which is this child now.
ANDERSON: Yes. And she only told people who were really close to them, people that she could trust would not tell. But you know, Sandra`s baby joy is bittersweet as she also files for divorce from Jesse James.
Sandra says she is adopting baby Louis alone as a single parent. But Jesse did start this adoption process four years ago, all well before Jesse`s mistress meltdown. Vicky, Sandra is legally getting Jesse out of her life but I`ve got wonder if she`s going to have a tougher time legally getting him out of the baby`s life.
VICKY ZIEGLER, ATTORNEY: Yes, it`s a very interesting question. If the adoption is finalized and we`re all speculating and he`s agreed to step away, but hopefully would want to parent this child in the future, what`s going to happen?
Because remember, Sandra wants to make sure that she sees Jesse`s children from his previous relationships. So there could be that quid pro quo as we say. You let me see the children, maybe, you know, you can make sure you have a relationship with Louis. So it`s going to be very interesting to see what unfolds with them as co-parents.
ANDERSON: Yes. Legally, maybe not any obligations. But Sandra has said that she admires Jesse as a parent and wants him involved in Louis` life. But you know, Jesse is a little bit devastated that he`s not going to share in the daily joys of Louis` life, telling "People" magazine, "the love I have for Louis cannot be put into words. Not having him around to love and hold has left a huge hole in my heart."
Listen, Jesse - no angel here. We know that. Whether he hooked up with one woman or whether he hooked up with half a dozen women, it wasn`t right.
That said, it does seem to me that Jesse wanted this baby as much as Sandra did. Vinnie, you`re an attorney. If Jesse did decide to fight for parental rights, would he have a case at all?
POLITAN: I think he would absolutely have a chance. I think he`d absolutely have a chance here, especially it`s a four-year process if he really - and they spent together and they had some of that bonding time.
Here`s the thing, though. You`ve got Sandra Bullock and Jesse James. What they are doing is what all parents should do. OK. Parents - husbands and wives - they get divorced. They get separated. But they have a common bond - those children.
ANDERSON: Yes.
POLITAN: And always, it`s got to be what is in the best interest of those children.
ANDERSON: True.
POLITAN: And here, obviously, it would be for them to not have a public fight about this whole thing, to be reasonable adults and do what is best for that child.
ANDERSON: Yes, for the sake of these kids. And you know, Sandra Bullock tells "People" magazine that she`s lost some of her tough skin since becoming a mother. But she really may need to regain that skill after filing for divorce.
Vicky, Sandra has handled this crisis with such grace, despite the pain, despite the humiliation Jesse has caused her. But do you think with all of the money involved and the custody issues - quickly, do you think the split could actually get messy?
ZIEGLER: Yes. It could get very ugly. I applaud her for taking the high road, certainly. But if he`s going to claw at some of her money, give her a problem with visiting his children, this could get ugly - nasty very quickly.
ANDERSON: Hopefully, that will not happen. Well, as Sandra`s divorce battle heats up, we are getting the answers to some big burning questions about Sandra`s life after Jesse.
For one, what does Sandra really think of Jesse`s controversial Nazi photo? Vicky, Vinnie, stay right where you are. Sandra`s fired up reaction just moments away.
And now we want to hear from you. It is our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll - "Sandra Bullock: Is she the most admired woman in America?" Vote at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. E-mail us at showbiztonight@cnn.com.
Unbelievable, shocking revelations on "Oprah" today. John Edwards` mistress speaking out for the first time since Edwards admitted that he was the father of her baby. Rielle Hunter`s explosive interview - why she says she`s no home wrecker.
And did you see this? The outrageous, absolutely shocking new photo of Lindsay Lohan that everybody is talking about today. Lindsay`s got a gun and she`s holding it to her mouth. I don`t know what Lindsay was thinking by posing for this with all the drama in her life right now. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
And now, we`ve got the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Lady Gaga, Oprah, Conan O`Brien make "Time" magazine`s 2010 most influential list. Heidi Montag, Levi Johnston, Jon Gosselin named least influential in 2010.

ANDERSON: Good to see you. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Right now, Katie Holmes as Jackie O.?
Plus, the big medical setback for rocker Bret Michaels. It is all happening now in "The Buzz" today.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over): Bret Michael`s medical setback. We`ve learned he`s been diagnosed with a side effect that causes seizures as he battles to recover from a brain hemorrhage. The new development about the "Celebrity Apprentice" and "Rock of Love" star was just revealed on his Web site. Michaels` manager calls it a minor setback and says that Michaels is hoping to resume his concert tour by the end of May.
Steve Carell may close "The Office."
STEVE CARELL, ACTOR: I am beautiful.
ANDERSON: The sitcom star has just told BBC radio he doesn`t think that he`ll continue on NBC`s hit show, "The Office," after his contract expires in 2011.
So that would mean just one more season of Carell as bumbling boss Michael Scott. Carell apparently wants to focus on his successful movie career full time. The big question is whether "The Office" can stay in business without Carell.
Katie Holmes to play Jackie O. You heard that right. Mrs. Tom Cruise will be playing the wife of President Kennedy in a new mini-series just announced by the History Channel. Greg Kinnear will be playing President John F. Kennedy.
The eight-hour mini series, simply titled "The Kennedys," will air next year and focus on the early years of JFK`s presidency.
So is Katie H. as Jackie O. a big uh-oh or "Oh, yes." Right now, here in Hollywood is Tanika Ray. She is an entertainment journalist and might I say a style maven in her own right. Hey, Tanika, you know -
TANIKA RAY, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: I love it.
ANDERSON: You are. You are, my friend.
RAY: Thank you, Brooke.
ANDERSON: I`ve got to say I just love Jackie Kennedy`s legendary style - the hair, the hat, and of course, all those amazing clothes.
Anybody who dares to slip into Jackie`s Oleg Cassini couture has got to live up to that iconic legacy. So look at them. Let`s compare them side by side, Tanika.
RAY: OK.
ANDERSON: Does Katie have what it takes?
RAY: All right. There are some similarities. She`s an adorable girl. And I think that I have a little bit of wardrobe envy right now, the fact that she`s gets to get into those gorgeous outfits.
You know, it`s an interesting choice. She definitely had a really amazing career at one point in her life. She was critically acclaimed for movies like "Pieces of April."
ANDERSON: She looks great.
RAY: So I think that she can cut it. It`s just we haven`t seen her do anything serious in a while. So it`s going to be surprising.
ANDERSON: Well, and Katie has become a fashion authority in her own right in a way. She`s got a very classic, sophisticated sense of style now. And I do have to say, Katie and Jackie have similar paths.
Katie was this young, dare I say B-list actress. I`ll say B-plus actress because who didn`t love "Dawson Creek."
RAY: Yes.
ANDERSON: She was doing her thing. All of a sudden, bam, she marries megastar Tom Cruise. Quickly, Tanika, do you think that we`re going to look back at Katie H. as the Jackie O. of Hollywood?
RAY: Maybe. We`ll have to see. I mean, I think that she has a lot to work with. So fingers crossed she knocks this out of the park, or people are going to be very upset, that`s for sure.
ANDERSON: Yes. Let`s hope she nails it. I`m looking forward to it. Tanika Ray, thanks, girl. Good to see you.
RAY: Yes. Thank you.
ANDERSON: All right. The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines ringing off the hook today with people calling in about Sandra Bullock and the amazing way she kept her surprising secrets to herself for so long.
Lisa in Arkansas says that Sandra is handling her business with class.

ANDERSON: Great point. Thanks, Lisa. Kasey from Ohio has rave reviews for Sandra.

OK. "Dancing with the Stars" co-host Brooke Burke is proving that she is some kind of superwoman. When the mother of four is not hosting "Dancing with the Stars," she`s busy writing on her blog about motherhood and dishing about the perfect Mother`s Day gift as a Mother`s Day contributor for "Bing.com."
When I spoke with Brooke today, I had to ask her why another famous mom, Kate Gosselin, was the focus of so much criticism when Kate was competing on "Dancing with the Stars."
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BROOKE BURKE, "DANCING WITH THE STARS" JUDGE: To read what I read during that period of time in the media about Kate was so unfair. And there was so much information that was absolutely not true printed.
Everybody on "Dancing with the Stars" loved her. She was a producer fave for many reasons. She was a lovely woman. And I think she was just going through an incredibly difficult time in her life. To have less than a smile on most days when you`re going through a custody battle, who wouldn`t?
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: She`s just lovely. And watch her co-hosting "Dancing with the Stars," Mondays and Tuesdays on ABC. And check out Brooke`s pitch for the perfect Mother`s Day gifts on "BingMothersDay.com."

Plus, more stories breaking today from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker."
ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.
(MUSIC)
ANDERSON: We welcome you back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - the jilted wives-mistress show down.
John Edwards` mistress, Rielle Hunter, told her side of the story to Oprah today defending herself as a mistress.
But wait, there`s more. Jenny Sanford, the jilted wife and former first lady of South Carolina whose ex-husband, Gov. Mark Sanford, famously fled to Argentina to be with this mistress, went on "The View" today and put all mistresses on notice.
With me right now in Hollywood, Tanika Ray, who is an entertainment journalist. Also in Hollywood, Jerry Springer, host of the legendary "Jerry Springer Show." And now, Jerry is also hosting a new dating show called "Baggage" on the Game Show Network. Congratulations, Jerry.
JERRY SPRINGER, HOST, "THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW": Thanks. It`s great to be doing something else, too.
ANDERSON: Well, it`s great to have you here with us today. And I just have to say, wow, talk about two worlds colliding today - Jenny Sanford`s and Rielle Hunter`s, the jilted wife and the mistress.
I`ve got to begin with the fireworks on "The View" today. Watch what happened when "View" co-host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked Jenny Sanford about Rielle Hunter.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ELISABETH HASSELBECK, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Looking at her right now, would you consider her a home wrecker? I mean, I don`t -
J. SANFORD: You know, I think in both cases, whether it`s Mark`s mistress or Rielle Hunter - I mean, these girls are not 18. They knew what they were doing.
(CROSS TALK)
SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": You know, I mean, you would have to be under a rock to not know that John Edwards is married.
J. SANFORD: Right. So you choose to step over that line. And you know, go forward with messing around with him.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Tanika, I was thinking, great answer, Jenny. What about you?
RAY: Yes. Duh, everybody knows that John Edwards is married and it`s not an excuse. I know that she`s saying she didn`t break the marriage up. But you know what? You were a part of it. You were the baseball bat that he took to knock the windows out of the house.
I just find her deplorable at this point. And I think that, in our culture, when you go to talk to Oprah, you feel like the sense that you`re sort of absolved from your sins. But guess what? You`re not, sister, and we`re not buying it.
ANDERSON: Yes, we`re not buying it. And I don`t really want to hear anything more from her until she apologizes.
RAY: No.
ANDERSON: Until she takes responsibility. I just want her to zip it. And I`ve got to say what was really amazing today is that Oprah also asked Rielle Hunter the million-dollar question on her show, when she asked Rielle if she thinks that she`s a home wrecker. Here`s what Rielle said.
"Absolutely not. It`s not my experience that a third party wrecks a home. I believe the problems exist before a third party comes into the picture. I do not believe I wrecked his home."
Jerry Springer, I`ll go to you on this one. On your show, for two decades, you had the most dysfunctional couples on the planet. You had the cheaters.
(CROSS TALK)
Everybody in between. Rielle Hunter says she`s not a home wrecker. Does it take some nerve to say that?
SPRINGER: Yes, I think it does. She`s certainly a participant, you know. It may have happened with someone else later on down the road. But the fact is, at that time, she certainly contributed to it.
What I don`t understand is, why write a book about it? Why go on Oprah about it? Why talk about it? Just be quiet.
ANDERSON: Because it makes her look worse.
SPRINGER: And it`s certainly not going to help the child.
ANDERSON: Yes.
SPRINGER: A time - you know, just stop it. We don`t care. It`s not our business. They got to deal with it.
ANDERSON: That`s right.
RAY: Absolutely, Jerry.
ANDERSON: And keep the child`s best interests at heart. I completely agree with you. And I could not believe my ears when I heard that Rielle was defending herself as a mistress to Oprah today. She also told Oprah this.
Take a listen, "People can think that it is wrong for me to do that. They can think that it is wrong for anyone to do that. But it still has to do with them thinking it`s wrong. It doesn`t have to do with me."
So Tanika, Rielle is basically placing the blame on everybody else saying that they`ve got the problem with the mistresses.
RAY: Absolutely.
ANDERSON: She`s giving herself a pass as a mistress. Are you kidding me?
RAY: Yes. It speaks to her absolute delusion, that`s why. And if she was on "Jerry Springer Show," they would be booing her from the beginning of the show all the way to the end.
The woman needs to get a clue. I just think that she`s a little lost right now. And this is just basically going to be the cliff notes for us to know definitively that she has lost her mind. She didn`t know what the heck she`s talking about. She really needs some help.
ANDERSON: She`s delusional and she`s arrogant and she needs to take ownership. And I also do think that John Edwards needs to take ownership, because it does take two to tango -
SPRINGER: Yes.
ANDERSON: When it comes to cheating.
RAY: Sure.
ANDERSON: And Whoopi Goldberg made a great point on "The View" today when she used as an example the now-infamous moment when Rielle Hunter and John Edwards first met in New York City, when Rielle first told John that she thought he was hot. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
J. SANFORD: They are the home wreckers, because they both made the choice, too. They were married.
(CROSS TALK)
WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": And you know, because up until the person comes up to you - maybe she didn`t know or maybe didn`t know by sight.
But once she recognizes who it is and she says, "Oh, I`m going to mess with you because you`re married," the guy has a responsibility, too. If some chick comes over and says, "Hey, you`re hot," you should say, "Yes, my wife thinks so, too."
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Yes, that`s really great advice. Whoopi is right. There is definitely enough blame to go around. But nobody is saying Rielle Hunter bears all the responsibility here. John Edwards does, too.
RAY: No -
ANDERSON: But Jerry, I don`t get Rielle`s logic that because John Edwards agreed to the affair, she`s in the clear somehow? It just seems nuts.
SPRINGER: Well, there is no logic, otherwise, you wouldn`t have done it in the first place.
ANDERSON: That`s true.
RAY: Absolutely, Jerry.
SPRINGER: Yes, but one thing that I really see here is it`s become part of the culture to make fun, for example, of the people on my show. Please let this be evidence that the people on my show are not unique.
RAY: No -
SPRINGER: That the highest places in our government, the highest places in our society, the wealthiest people in the world -
RAY: Absolutely.
SPRINGER: This happens. So you know, we`re not better than them.
RAY: No.
SPRINGER: We`re not all alike. Just some of us dress better.
ANDERSON: You dress very well.
SPRINGER: Thank you very much. Thank you - it`s rented.
ANDERSON: Everybody can relate. I think you`re right. And Rielle Hunter - I wanted to go to this because she doled out another doozy today on "Oprah" when Oprah asked if she thinks she hurt Elizabeth Edwards.
One would think there`s a really easy answer to that, but listen to what she said, "I think Elizabeth has been hurt by the whole process. I think Johnny has been hurt by the whole process. I think everyone in his family has been hurt by the whole process. Do I think that I hurt Elizabeth? You would have to ask Elizabeth that. I don`t know the answer to that."
You`ve got to ask Elizabeth if she was hurt, Rielle? What the heck do you think? Duh. Tanika, I find this infuriating, don`t you?
RAY: Yes. Yes. She`s clearly in denial and I think that John has given her some sense of security that just because he decided to have the affair, she doesn`t take any blame for it. And that`s why she`s in for a further downhill slide.
If she can`t even see that what she`s done thus far is disgusting, then, she really isn`t going to grow from this experience. And that`s what I love Jenny Sanford for. She looked at this obstacle. She faced it head on -
ANDERSON: Yes.
SPRINGER: Yes.
RAY: And she went through it and is so much better for it. Rielle isn`t evolving as a person at all. She`s stuck until she can realize and admit that what she did was wrong and that she did destroy a marriage. But you know what? I don`t care. Whatever - go away. Go away.
ANDERSON: Very quickly.
SPRINGER: Yes. I think it even goes further than that. What happened was wrong and it was a mistake and was terrible. But what they are doing now is cruel. Now - in other words, breaking up the marriage was a bad thing, too. But what she`s doing now, continuing to say -
ANDERSON: Poor Elizabeth - I know.
SPRINGER: Yes, my gosh. Think about Elizabeth.
ANDERSON: Have some compassion.
SPRINGER: What she did was horrible. Have some compassion. I agree.
RAY: Absolutely.
ANDERSON: And one thing we do know right now about Sandra Bullock - I`m going to move to her - is that she is just head-over-heels in love with her new little man - we`re changing topics here.
SPRINGER: Yes.
ANDERSON: We`re talking about adopted baby boy, Louis. But what about all of the other Sandra burning questions? Like, what is her relationship with Jesse James like right now? And what does she think about his disturbing Nazi photo. Tanika Ray, Jerry Springer, stay right there.
And Lindsay Lohan has got a gun? I think she`s (UNINTELLIGIBLE). Look at this picture revealed today. Lindsay`s parents also fighting over her. She`s reportedly still partying. And now, this just-revealed picture that Lindsay sent out herself.
Heidi Klum`s naked photo confession to Ellen today. Who`s in the pictures with her?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DEGENERES: So there`s naked pictures -
KLUM: We`re not doing like naked voodoo dancing crazy business, you know. It`s just photos.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Naked voodoo dancing crazy business? What in the world is that? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Misbehaving model Naomi Campbell tapes "Oprah" episode, will air Monday. Mike Tyson to be on "The View," 22 years since his interview with then-wife, Robin Givens.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Big, brand-new Sandra Bullock burning questions surfaced today after she revealed she`s divorcing her cheating husband, Jesse James, and secretly adopting a baby boy.
And then, there`s her unbelievable reaction to Jesse James` Nazi photo. Sandra reveals her fury over that photo in the brand-new "People" magazine. She also reveals the story behind the biggest burning question everybody wanted to know about her marriage crisis.
Right now, in New York, is Vicky Ziegler who is a family attorney. And in Atlanta, Vinnie Politan, who is a host for "In Session," that`s on our sister network, Tru TV.
OK. Vicky, Vinnie, until now, Sandra has not commented on this photo of Jesse James in a Nazi costume first obtained by "UsMagazine.com." There he is, arm raised in a Nazi salute, which leads me to our first big burning question. What does Sandra think of Jesse`s Nazi photo?
Well, here`s what she tells "People," quote, "The photo shocked me and made me sad. This is not the man I married. This was stupid. This was ignorant." She goes on to say, "This, I hope, Jesse will address one day. But that is not the world I live in or have ever lived in and have any tolerance for."
I`ve got to say I do not blame Sandra for being so furious. She has every right. Vinnie, isn`t this just another unfortunate sign that Sandra really did not know what was going on in the other part of Jesse`s life? It was like a double life.
POLITAN: It wasn`t really a double life, though. I mean, we don`t want to judge a book by its cover but the cover of this book is - what? It`s a guy that likes motorcycles, porn stars and tattoos and his name is Jesse James.
I mean, should we be shocked by anything that he does? I`m not.
(CROSS TALK)
ANDERSON: Well, I think she was with that Nazi photo. I think he took it too far for her. And she was resolute in talking about how she does not tolerate hatred for other people.
POLITAN: I know - I know it`s a whole different story. But, again, you know, from the outside looking in - I don`t know Jesse James. When you get him one on one, he might be a real sweetheart, you know. He might be.
ANDERSON: Yes. Yes.
POLITAN: You know, sometimes, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it`s a duck.
ZIEGLER: But Vinnie -
(CROSS TALK)
ANDERSON: I got what you`re saying. Go ahead -
ZIEGLER: Right. But she was happily married and he lured her in somehow. So either it was a double-edged sword and he did have a double life, or maybe he really wasn`t a good guy. Who knows? But apparently, Sandra Bullock was in love with this guy for whatever - whether it was the real Jesse James -
POLITAN: You ladies like bad boys. That`s the problem here.
ZIEGLER: No. Not all of us.
POLITAN: Let`s get to the root of the problem. Come on.
ANDERSON: Maybe that`s partly true. But at the same time, no question she was disappointed in his actions. And in the "People" magazine interview, this is pretty much the only thing Sandra really speaks negatively about Jesse with.
Vicky, out of all of the things that she could have slammed him for, are you surprised that this, the Nazi photo, is what she chose to be negative about?
ZIEGLER: Well, you know what, Brooke? I`m not surprised that she took a stand and wanted to distance herself from this very irresponsible and despicable picture. But I am shocked that she didn`t open up the real reason why they - their marriage broke up.
Because he cheated on her - that`s what everyone`s dying to know about. She talks about everything else except the real, real issue that we`re all, you know, talking about, the pictures of these women, or at least the one woman in particular with the tattoos that everyone wants to know about.
So I was quite shocked that she didn`t talk about that at all. And people - and she didn`t allege any allegations of adultery in her grounds for divorce in the complaint she filed. So very interesting.
ANDERSON: No, she didn`t. And I think she`s doing that to probably protect those children that she loves so deeply. And that leads me to this. She has been silent since the cheating scandal broke.
And people were curious if Jesse and Sandra were even speaking, which leads us to our next big burning question today. What is Sandra`s relationship with Jesse now?
She tells "People" magazine this, quote, "A different one. A bittersweet one. One of a new understanding. One of forgiveness. One of support for his recovery. One that changed my life."
No doubt. It sounds to me she`s still conflicted about what has happened. Vinnie, do you get the sense that she`s got a handle on the situation or is she still struggling which, if she is, that would be completely natural?
POLITAN: It would be natural but I think it has more to do with the children than anything else. And I think that`s what we`re seeing in Sandra Bullock and what we`re really learning about her, what`s more important to her. And don`t forget, her relationship with his children is so important to her as well.
ANDERSON: Yes.
POLITAN: And I think she`s doing the adult, responsible thing here. She`s not washing her laundry out in public. There`s nothing to be gained from that. What she`s trying to do is go from this step forward to make her life and the life of all of those children as best as it can be in light of all of the circumstances.
ANDERSON: Yes. She`s trying to keep her family unit intact and I admire her for that. Vicky, could have you ever imagined that she would describe her relationship with her cheating, lying husband with words like "forgiveness," "support?"
ZIEGLER: No. And it`s so uncommon. When somebody is blindsided like that, they`ve been cheated on, they are in the process of an adoption, you would think that she would want to throw every curse word, every bad word, bash him up and down.
And to say things that she wants to meet - you know, support him and it`s bittersweet -
ANDERSON: And you know why she didn`t do that?
ZIEGLER: Why?
ANDERSON: She is a class act.
ZIEGLER: She is.
ANDERSON: I`ve said it before and I`ll say it again, one classy lady.
ZIEGLER: She is.
ANDERSON: Vicky Ziegler, Vinnie Politan, I do have to leave it there for now. Thank you both. Good to see you.
And I do want to hear from you. It is our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll - "Sandra Bullock: Is she the most admired woman in America?" Vote at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. E-mail us - showbiztonight@cnn.com.
Hey, Heidi Klum`s setting the record straight today to Ellen DeGeneres about those reported nude photos of her and hubby, Seal.
Heidi said, yes, they exist. Heidi was getting fitting and the stylist apparently saw the pictures and then blabbed to the tabloids.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KLUM: That`s how the whole thing started, about our sort of, you know, semi-nudey artsy photos that we have, which are in our private, you know, bedroom.
DEGENERES: Who would have gone to your bedroom?
KLUM: Don`t you have like beautiful photos of you and, you know, Portia?
(LAUGHTER)
I mean, why not? You know, they are in our bedroom. No one normally goes in there and I had a fitting because we were fixing something in another room. So, OK, let`s do the fitting in my bedroom. And then, you know, that`s the person that has never been in that room so the next day it was out.
DEGENERES: So you know who it was?
KLUM: So - yes. I kind of do.
DEGENERES: So you kind of know who it was?
KLUM: She`s so mean.
DEGENERES: So there`s naked pictures -
KLUM: We`re not doing like some naked voodoo dancing, crazy business, you know. It`s just photos.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Maybe, Heidi - but maybe next time put up some photos of your kids or something instead.
All right. So Heidi Klum may have naked photos. Lindsay Lohan`s got this shocking new photo of her holding a gun to her mouth today. Look at this. Unbelievable or what?
With Lindsay`s parents fighting over her, all the things she`s going through, why would she pose for this? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Simon and Garfunkel postpone tour due to Art Garfunkel`s strained voice. NBC pushing for "Late Night`s" Jimmy Fallon to host this year`s Emmy Awards.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: Lindsay Lohan`s got a gun? Now, that`s scary. Take a look at this video from "Hollywood.TV" that surfaced today of Lindsay dressed half- naked, holding a gun to her mouth. Lindsay actually tweeted the picture for all the world to see. What the heck was she thinking?
Back with me right now is the legendary talk show host Jerry Springer. Jerry is the host of a new dating show called "Baggage" on the Game Show Network. Jerry, so fun to have you here. Thanks for coming in.
SPRINGER: Well, it`s great. I enjoy watching you do this show. You`re great at this. This is good. This is great.
ANDERSON: Well, we appreciate that. Thank you. And you know, we`re talking about Lindsay Lohan.
SPRINGER: Yes.
ANDERSON: That video is from a photo shoot Lindsay did for a photographer Tyler Shields` upcoming new book. But I have to say, Jerry, I think it`s a little bit sad that she doesn`t even realize how bad it looks coming at the same time when she is under such scrutiny.
SPRINGER: Yes.
ANDERSON: For some saying being out of control.
SPRINGER: Yes. It`s obviously horrible judgment. They ought to take the phones away from everybody. But that whole family has to stop talking to other people, talking to the media. They`ve got to deal with themselves.
I mean, the father has some good advice perhaps, but why is he holding press conferences? You know, it`s just - it`s your own daughter. Just stop talking to the press about it. It`s all personal. Deal with your child. That comes first. But everyone - this is a reality show without a network.
ANDERSON: You`re right. It could be a reality show for sure. But a lot more interesting and shocking and worrisome than a lot of the reality shows out there.
And I have to say Lindsay, just last night, called into the radio station, 102.7 Kiss FM to say that despite what is being reported about her wild behavior, she`s fine. Listen.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
LINDSAY LOHAN, ACTRESS: I don`t know why I`m such a target, but I think there`s a big misconception of who I am as a person. And you know, it`s only people build you up to take you down industry.
It`s not a crime to go and have fun you with your friends. I do realize that it`s silly of me to kind of give people what they want by seeing me out at night. So I tried - I actually didn`t go out for over a week.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Hadn`t been out in over a week. And Lindsay, cameras caught you partying just after that interview until 5:00 in the morning. Can you believe that, Jerry?
SPRINGER: Yes, yes.
ANDERSON: And with this photo of her with a gun in her mouth - is she just delusional? It seems that she doesn`t have the self-awareness to realize the ramifications of her actions.
SPRINGER: What if she lived in a country that didn`t have television, that didn`t have a paparazzi, that didn`t have you know - these people I think just have to take a time out and stop performing.
ANDERSON: Yes.
SPRINGER: Stop calling in to radio stations. Stop going to bars where you know cameras are going to be there.
ANDERSON: Just stop.
SPRINGER: Just stop living your life in public. Live it among those people who you really care about.
ANDERSON: And try to reach a life of normalcy, if you can, and stop feeding off the attention, off the publicity. Jerry Springer, great to see you.
SPRINGER: Thanks for having me.
ANDERSON: Thanks so much.
SPRINGER: Sure.
ANDERSON: We appreciate it. And that`s a wrap for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is now at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday. And don`t forgot we are still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific. Take care.
