BROOKE ANDERSON, HOST: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - is Al Gore facing an inconvenient truth? Explosive claims today that Gore got frisky with a masseuse.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MOLLY HAGGERTY, AL GORE`S ALLEGED SEXUAL HARASSMENT VICTIM: And then he wrapped me in an inescapable embrace and caressed my back and buttocks and breasts.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: So what is Al Gore saying about that today?

Tiger Woods` divorce bombshell. Brand-new reports today that Tiger`s wife could get as much as three quarters of $1 billion dollars. It`s the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT flashpoint debate today - does Elin deserve half of Tiger`s fortune?

But wait, there`s more. Jessica`s "Price of Beauty" gets a major makeover. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the controversial question today - is Jessica Simpson a hypocrite or just plain brilliant?

They`re back -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NICOLE "SNOOKI" POLIZZI, REALITY TV STAR, "THE JERSEY SHORE": You`d better buckle yourself in.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with dramatic new video out today of "The Jersey Shore" gang gone wild. We`ve got some situation here.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

(MUSIC)

ANDERSON: Hi there, everyone, I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - a shocking sex claim against Al Gore.

There are absolutely remarkable claims today that Gore sexually assaulted a woman while getting a massage. And an explosive tape surfaced today of the woman who is making the claims describing in disturbing detail what she says Gore did to her.

And you are about to hear exactly what she said in her own words. The former vice president and star of the Oscar-winning film "An Inconvenient Truth" said today there`s absolutely no truth to the allegations. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that hasn`t stopped police from reopening their investigation.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): A former politician known for his squeaky-clean image and a masseuse with explosive new claims in a tabloid today that threaten to destroy that squeaky-clean image.

KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": It`s just shocking for everyone to see Al Gore`s name in the same article as "lurid sexual conduct."

ANDERSON: In a shocking new "National Enquirer" story out today, an Oregon masseuse is going public with her claim that Former Vice President Al Gore made a forceful and unwanted sexual advance at her in this Portland hotel room four years ago.

Now, police have just revealed they`re reopening the case, and they have released a tape of her graphically describing what she claims happened.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I had the fear that rape would be inevitable if I could not get out of the room, yet I could see no way to immediately leave without it also being a risk to my safety.

ANDERSON: Gore is saying flat out what the woman is claiming is not true. Never happened.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE NEWS ANCHOR: Allegations that former vice president Al Gore sexually assaulted a massage therapist -

ANDERSON: Morning shows went crazy today over this dramatic new twist.

SERAFIN: It`s not what we expect from Al Gore, and I think that`s why this is becoming such a huge story.

ANDERSON: "The National Enquirer`s" latest issue released today includes what it says is an exclusive interview with Gore`s accuser, 54-year-old Molly Haggerty.

CNN usually doesn`t name alleged victims in cases like this unless that person comes forward publicly as Haggerty has done in "The Enquirer" with her lurid charge.

SERAFIN: This is all stemming from an October 2006 incident where a massage therapist said she was performing a massage on Al Gore at a hotel in Portland, Oregon, and that he made sexual advances that were unwanted.

ANDERSON: In January of 2009, almost three years after the alleged incident, Haggerty detailed her claims in a taped police interview that SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has now obtained.

HAGGERTY: He grabbed my right hand hard, shoved it down under the sheet and said to me, "There!" in a very sharp, loud, angry-sounding tone.

ANDERSON: It wasn`t until last week that Portland Police even acknowledged the allegations against Gore. They said at the time, they decided there wasn`t enough evidence to bring charges. But now that they`ve reopened the case, the big question is, what`s changed?

SERAFIN: The fact that the police are reopening the case now after they previously said there wasn`t enough evidence is what is making people really say, hmm. Is there something more to this story?

AL GORE, FORMER UNITED STATES VICE PRESIDENT: I`ve been trying to tell this story for a long time

ANDERSON: Lately the ex-veep and current environmental crusader who appeared in the Oscar-winning documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth," has been making news for all the wrong reasons.

A month ago he and wife, Tipper, announced they were splitting up after 40 years of marriage. Now, in a brand-new statement to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Gore is fighting back against the allegations.

His spokesperson says, quote, "Further investigation into this matter will only benefit Gore. Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He stands by that denial."

SERAFIN: It doesn`t sound from this statement that he`s afraid at all. It sounds like he is eager to prove his innocence.

ANDERSON: Now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there are new questions about the accuser. Before "The National Enquirer" released the story today, it revealed she initially asked for $1 million for her story, and they turned her down.

BARRY LEVIN, EXECUTIVE EDITOR, "NATIONAL ENQUIRER": Attorneys who sometimes represent individuals like this will ask for pie-in-the-sky-type figures. I think that this woman from the get-go, you know, felt very victimized and wanted her story to come out.

ANDERSON: But with today`s new "Enquirer," it seems the tabloid and the accuser have come to some sort of agreement. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT contacted "The Enquirer" today asked if or how much they paid for the new interview. Their response, "No comment."

SERAFIN: That, obviously, raises a lot of questions and makes you wonder about her credibility.

ANDERSON: But it looks like Gore might be in for a full summer of embarrassing headlines.

SERAFIN: Now, that it`s in the national media, I think we can expect people to be focusing on this story for a little bit longer.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: So given that this happened so many years ago and police said there was nothing to it, a lot of people were wondering today, why did they change?

Right now in New York is Debra Opri who is a family law attorney. And in Atlanta, Vinnie Politan, who is the host of "In Session" on Tru TV.

Debra, Vinnie, first I want to roll out the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT news line to look at some of the important dates in this case, shall we? In 2006, we`ll start there, the massage therapist claims she had, quote, "unwanted sexual contact with Gore in a Portland hotel room."

Then in January of 2009, Gore`s accuser sits down with police to, again, give her side of the story. Now, a year later, police in Portland reopened their investigation.

Debra Opri, out to you first. You have been involved in some of the most high-profile cases ever. Do you find it odd that the case is now being reopened?

DEBRA OPRI, FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY: Here`s the thing. Al Gore, to many, is the Mother Teresa of America. And this is an inconvenient mess because, again, his personal conduct is being dragged in the press like so many other celebrities.

This man could have been president. Now, this is unusual because the first question I would ask is, who is behind this woman? Who is representing her? Is it an attorney? Who is pushing this story to get out there?

Because in the end, if there was not enough to prosecute in 2006 some four years ago and now, there`s inquiries for a reopening of the case and potential filing of a civil action, I`d like to know, what is the motivation behind this? Who is representing her? And why are they going after Al Gore now which is basically sandwiched in between many other celebrities? This is maybe extortion.

ANDERSON: Yes. Vinnie, what does all of this mean? Yes. Vinnie, what does all of this mean? Do you find it strange?

VINNIE POLITAN, HOST, "IN SESSION" ON TRU TV: Well, I find it strange. And she wants to know who`s behind it - Debra does, I want to know what the evidence is. Now, the obvious first piece of evidence is her version of what happened. But does she have anything to corroborate it? That is the key here.

Now, the whole time line and everything has been strange from the beginning. I think police have to reopen it and look at it because we`re all looking at the story and hearing about it now. And they don`t want to be seen as giving the former vice president, you know, a pass on it and say, "Oh, it`s the former vice president. She must be crazy." So they`re going t look at it.

But what I want to know is what evidence exists or may exist or does not exist in this case.

ANDERSON: Yes. Yes. Investigators have to do their due diligence and look at this if there is evidence to corroborate her claims. And the tape of the woman making those claims, the tape out today, was actually made a year ago back in 2009. And it`s pretty disturbing to listen to. Here it is.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

HAGGERTY: He grabbed my right hand hard, shoved it down under the sheet and said to me, "There!" in a very sharp, loud, angry-sounding tone. I had the fear that rape would be inevitable if I could not get out of the room, yet I could see no way to immediately leave without it also being a risk to my safety.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Debra, at this point it`s her word against his. Do you think Al Gore has anything to worry about?

OPRI: I don`t think so, because this started in 2006. We have another dress situation or a clothing situation with potential stains on it. Let`s go to why she was in the room to begin with.

I understand it was an abdominal massage she was hired to give him. And then, at some point in time, he basically got angry and took her hand and said, "Here, that`s what you do. But, you know, let`s look at what the actions were, why she was there, what the evidence is.

It`s a he said/she said. If there are semen stains on clothing, I would think that`s going to push a settlement further. But, you know, was this a happy massage? Is it legal? Vinnie, you do a lot criminal work and -

ANDERSON: Wow.

OPRI: You can tell me that.

ANDERSON: And Debra Opri went there. You`re right, we do just have to look at the facts and see what surfaces. I`ll leave it at that.

And moving now to big news breaking today, in the Tiger Woods marital mess. There are astounding reports out there today that Tiger and his wife, Elin, have reached a divorce settlement and that she may get an astounding $750 million.

Here`s our "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" - does Elin deserve million from Tiger? Vinnie, I think she deserves it. What do you think?

POLITAN: Well, you know, the big question was, you know, what was that humiliation worth, such a public display of humiliation, what he did to her, what he did to the family. If it`s half of what he`s got, she deserves it, absolutely, after what she went through.

She still has the children. And maybe this sets her up with an opportunity to just get out of the United States, raise the children somewhere else, let Tiger go there and visit, whenever he wants to visit. And maybe they can return to some form of normalcy in their lives.

ANDERSON: Yes. Some sort of normalcy for the sake of those children. I say she deserves it. Elin, take the money and get out of town. Debra Opri, Vinnie Politan, thanks. Good to see you.

All right. I know Kate Gosselin has admitted to having plastic surgery in the past, but has she done it again? Kate`s getting dragged through the mud by critics today who claim she`s gone under the knife again. Kate sets the record straight today. Did she have plastic surgery or not?

And Jessica Simpson`s brand-new controversial makeover today. The beauty dilemma that`s got Jessica making some big changes. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has got to ask, is Jessica being a beauty hypocrite, or is she downright brilliant?

And they`re back! Dramatic new video today of "The Jersey Shore" gang gone wild.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PAULY DELVECCHIO, REALITY TV STAR, "THE JERSEY SHORE": I thought I saw a ghost. I was not expecting Angelina to show up at the house.

POLIZZI: It`s was a kryptonite and I (EXPLETIVE DELETED) him.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Kate plus Botox? Kate Gosselin shooting down brand-new reports today that she`s had Botox procedures. Now, the Botox reports went flying when a photo surfaced of Kate, well, looking a bit frozen in the eyebrow department.

Today, though, Kate slamming all the speculation, telling "People.com," "Read my eyebrows. No Botox." Kate is only 35 years old and she looks great.

All right. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Thanks for hanging out with us for a little bit.

Right now hail to the king. I`ve got to admit, I`m still reeling after Larry King announced that he`s hanging up his suspenders and ending his nightly talk show on CNN.

When I look back at Larry`s incredible career, I definitely remember his in-depth interviews, but I also love all the oddball moments.

CNN`s Jeanne Moos tackles 25 years of king-size moments and even lets his biggest fans touch the famous Larry King mike.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Larry, we know you`re palsy- walsy with presidents and world leaders, but those aren`t the moments we want to highlight.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: How`s this?

LARRY KING, HOST, "LARRY KING LIVE": Well, I`m following the clock.

MOOS: Now that our time with you is running out, we`d like to recall the feisty moments.

CARRIE PREJEAN, FORMER MISS CALIFORNIA USA: Larry, you`re being inappropriate.

KING: What?

PREJEAN: I`m not talking about it.

KING: I`m asking a question?

MOOS: The unexpected moments like when a toad freaked out your son.

JACK HANNA, DIRECTOR EMERITUS, COLUMBUS ZOO: These are poison glands right here. Right back there. He`s not going to hurt you.

CHANCE KING, SON OF LARRY KING: Get off of me. Get off of me. No!

MOOS: Moments like the one when Marlon Brando wanted you to stop pointing at him.

MARLON BRANDO, ACTOR: Yes. It`s not this finger. It`s this finger I`m worried about.

MOOS: Twenty-five years of TV, Larry. Isn`t it fun?

KING: OK, we`ll take a break, don`t scream in my ear. I`m a human being. We`ll return after this. We`ll be right back. Don`t go away.

MOOS: Now, you`re going away. Who`s going to take our calls?

KING: Oklahoma City, hello. Gainesville, Florida, hello. Boston, Massachusetts, for Monica Lewinsky.

MOOS: Who are comedians going to kid for having so many wives?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: One more I`m the octumom divorcees.

MOOS: We always seem to laugh along.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Larry, we`ve got an interview with one of your sperm. It`s in an assisted living in Miami.

MOOS: You danced along. You played along. You sang along with Willie Nelson.

(SINGING)

Please forgive us for raiding your New York office and borrowing your old- fashioned, nonfunctioning RCA mike.

(on camera): The Larry King memorial microphone.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think he`s got one in every city.

MOOS (voice-over): A few pairs of trademark suspenders.

(on camera): These are English. These are English. Made in London.

(voice-over): From the halls of CNN, this is a holy relic.

(voice-over): A moment of silence.

(on camera): Do you know what this is?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think I do.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Do we need to bow down?

MOOS: You should bow down. This is Larry King`s microphone.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Incredible.

MOOS: Want to meet Larry King`s microphone?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That`s awesome.

MOOS: You want to touch his microphone?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I would. That`s nice.

MOOS: Look, these are his actual suspenders.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You should take over.

MOOS: I sort of feel like a walking Larry King museum here.

(voice-over): I once ran into Larry while I was out doing man-on-the- street interviews.

KING: You are the world`s most famous streetwalker. Get back to work.

MOOS: The guy who asked a million questions also knew how to answer them.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And I ask you what would be the first question you would ask God, you know what you said?

KING: Do you have a son?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, I thought that was the greatest answer ever.

MOOS: After 25 years at CNN -

(on camera): I have one of his suspenders.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my gosh!

MOOS: Larry, you`re still leaving them quivering.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: My gosh.

MOOS: Are you sniffing?

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: So many great moments. And here`s his microphone from his set here in L.A. But you know, Larry`s got going anywhere just yet. But still, I`m going to miss his show. And that was CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

STEWART: Don`t do this!

PATTINSON: Let me give you a clue. Wait for her to say the words.

LAUTNER: Fine. And she will.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Oh, Team Jacob and Team Edward fans joined forces Wednesday to set a big box office record for "Twilight Saga: Eclipse." The latest "Twilight" film`s estimated $68.5 million set the first-day record for a Wednesday opening.

That`s about $4 million short of what "Twilight: New Moon" did opening on a Friday last year. But I am pretty sure fans will help the film eclipse even more records this holiday weekend.

As if you ever need any more proof that "Twilight" is an absolute worldwide sensation, you`ve got to see this. Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan entered "Twilight" territory during her Congressional confirmation hearings this week.

Now, doesn`t everybody want to know if our potential Supreme Court justice is on Team Edward or Team Jacob? Check out what happened when Minnesota Democrat, Amy Klobuchar, grilled Kagan.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SEN. AMY KLOBUCHAR (D-MN): Solicitor General Kagan, you did have an incredibly grueling day yesterday and did incredibly well. But I guess it means you missed the midnight debut of the third "Twilight" movie last night. I keep wanting to ask you about the famous case of Edward versus Jacob or the vampire versus the werewolf.

ELENA KAGAN, SUPREME COURT NOMINEE: I wish you wouldn`t.

KLOBUCHAR: I will refrain. I know you can`t comment on future cases. So I`ll leave that alone.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: What is this? "Twilight Saga," Supreme Court? At least, we know Congress isn`t leaving any tough questions unanswered.

All right. A furious debate taking place right now on our Facebook page with people wondering if Sandra Bullock`s quickie divorce means that she might get back together one day with Jesse James.

Debbie H. thinks this one`s going to be tough, "You can`t be married for five years, have children and turn your feelings off just like that. I`m sure she still loves Jesse."

And Deborah R. posted this, "After what she has been through, she still has class and can carry on a working relationship with him and all for the kids` sake. Good for her."

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today. We`ve got a situation.

Dramatic new video surfaced today of the upcoming second season of the over-the top MTV reality show "Jersey Show." And wait until you see this. Fists are flying all over the place. The cast is up in arms and in each other`s faces fighting over who`s sleeping with whom.

With me right now in Hollywood, Rachel Zalis, who is a contributing editor for "Life and Style Weekly." Also from Hollywood, Maria Menounos, special correspondent for "Access Hollywood."

Rachel, Maria, you`ve got to see this for yourself, the brand-new video of "Jersey Shore" in Miami. Check it out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Mikey and Pauley, MVP, we`re in the club.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Girls are flocking to us.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I mean, no grenade in Miami.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I finally put some water on my face. I was, like, you`ve got grenades, man.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Come to daddy.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Did I bang Snooki last night?

POLIZZI: Like this big.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We need some privacy.

POLIZZI: Sure, I had sex with Vinny(ph). You had sex with Vinny(ph).

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`m single, doing exactly what I want.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He told me today I`m his girlfriend.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I love single Ronny.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I sit on my bed waiting for my (EXPLETIVE DELETED) boyfriend who`s at a club.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Ronny`s been lying to her this whole time.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`m going to deny, deny, deny, and that`s it.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m done.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I find these girls (UNINTELLIGIBLE) on the planet.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You girls involved all of a sudden?

POLIZZI: I`ve always had balls, honey.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I feel like (UNINTELLIGIBLE) 100 percent into my boyfriend.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s like putting firecrackers in, like, a dumpster. One match and -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Stop. Stop. Stop.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Oh, my word. I don`t know what`s worse, the boys hooking up in the clubs or the girl throwing their fists around like it`s no big deal. Rachel, I`ll go to you. The show got a whole lot of attention for being so over-the-top -

RACHEL ZALIS, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, "LIFE AND STYLE WEEKLY": Oh, yes.

ANDERSON: And so offensive the first season. Are you sensing maybe that the most offensive is still to come?

ZALIS: Oh, absolutely. It is going to be bigger and better and badder than it was last year.

ANDERSON: And you seem really excited about this.

ZALIS: I am so excited. I mean - OK. First of all, they have really upped the ante. (UNINTELLIGIBLE) is no longer gym tan laundry. It is girl fights, threesomes and ladies licking The Situation`s abs. I mean, I am sold.

ANDERSON: You are sold. You will be tuning in.

ZALIS: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: I`ve got to tell you, though, that a lot of people are incensed that this cast has far exceed their 15 minutes of fame.

I mean, Snooki`s a big star. I see her working the red carpet at all the Awards. The Situation, a household name. Maria, what about you? Are you bothered that they seem to be setting a new standard for offensive reality TV?

MARIA MENOUNOS, SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT, "ACCESS HOLLYWOOD": I have to say, I do agree that they are setting the bar high. And its - I mean, you can`t watch any other show anymore without expecting "Jersey Shore" antics.

But when Snooki comes up with lines like "kryptonite is my bleeping tan" - "you are the kryptonite to my bleeping tan," I mean, you`ve still got to keep watching. I`m obsessed, I have to admit. I love it. I`m dying to see it - a little embarrassed, but I am.

ANDERSON: It sucks you in. And you know, I don`t know if they`re setting the bar high or if they`re setting the bar low. Who knows?

But brawls on "The Jersey Shore" to brand-new reports today about that famous "Bachelor" couple that just broke up. Brand-new ex-couple, Jake and Vienna, may be posing nude? Yes. And Michael Jackson`s mama, Katherine, wants to get into the movie business. It`s all making big news in "The Buzz" today. Check it out.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): Michael Jackson`s controversial home movies. TMZ has just reported the movies could lead to a fight between Jackson`s mother, Katherine, and the Jackson estate. Katherine reportedly has hundreds of hours of video she wants to turn into a series of films.

But the exclusive rights to Jackson`s name and image are owned by the Jackson estate, and Katherine may not have the right to use them.

Pee-Wee`s brand-new playhouse. Director Judd Apatow has just revealed he`s developing a movie around Pee-Wee Herman telling "Variety," quote, "The world needs more Pee-Wee Herman." Herman`s career tanked after his arrest nearly 20 years ago for indecent exposure in a movie theater.

The naked truth about "The Bachelor?" There`s brand-new talk that broken- up "Bachelor" stars Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi might do separate nude photo spreads. "Playgirl" is reportedly interested in Jake posing, telling "Pop Eater" that Jake, quote, "exemplifies our classic American guy at `Playgirl` and stated the obvious, saying it`s obvious he likes the limelight."

Vienna is denying reports she wants to do "Playboy," a good thing since "Playboy" has just said it has zero interest.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

So "Playboy" says they have zero interest in Vienna. Rachel, I think Vienna should be downright embarrassed if she tried to cash in on all this by getting naked.

ZALIS: Absolutely. I mean, this girl has absolutely nothing to say for herself. I mean, she was not loved during "The Bachelor." She was still vilified after the fact after he picked her.

ANDERSON: Even though I did feel sorry for her on the show.

ZALIS: Did you really?

ANDERSON: I thought they were mean to her. I did. I did.

ZALIS: Oh, I think it was well-deserved.

ANDERSON: Oh, OK.

ZALIS: I mean, I think that Jake, at least, is parlaying his 15 minutes into something, you know, with "The Dancing with the Stars," the "Drop Dead Diva" appearance. I think she`s just putting her promise ring back on and heading back home.

ANDERSON: Well, you know, it was Vienna who reportedly told "Star" magazine that she hoped to make $250,000 posing naked for the magazine.

Late today, here`s what "Playboy" told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "This is the first we`ve heard of Vienna Girardi appearing on the cover of `Playboy.` We are not in negotiations with her and have not made her an offer."

Maria, it seems to me this was just wishful thinking on Vienna`s part?

MENOUNOS: It was wishful thinking because there they are confirming that they never put the offer up for her. Maybe she thought the publicity would stir up an offer, but embarrassingly, no.

ANDERSON: Yes, a little bit humiliating. OK. Well, Jimmy Kimmel had a little fun with this on his late-night show after the report first came out with Vienna on his show saying that, hey, maybe she did get an offer. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JIMMY KIMMEL, HOST, "JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE": Vienna said she filled out the little cardboard form in the middle of the magazine and thought it was a done deal. So unless you have - I don`t know, unless - I don`t know - unless she had this negotiation with Hugh Hefner and he forgot. I mean, he is 84. Something is very, very wrong with this "Bachelor" crew.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, boy. So Rachel, she`s becoming a punch line. And do you think it was wishful thinking on her part?

ZALIS: Absolutely. Poor Vienna. I mean, she did have those topless photos, you know, in the calendar a while ago. So I think she was trying to upgrade a little bit. But unfortunately for her, it doesn`t seem like this is going to happen.

ANDERSON: Well, so we won`t be seeing Vienna naked in "Playboy." But listen, Jake may pose in the buff for "Playgirl"? What`s this I`m hearing?

Late today, a rep from the magazine told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that the reports about Jake possibly posing nude are true. The rep told us, quote, "It is true. I`m reaching out to his management to determine interest and cost."

Rachel, do you really think - I mean, of course, we don`t know what he would say to such an offer. But do you really think that people would want to see Jake naked in "Playgirl"?

ZALIS: No! We wouldn`t see -

ANDERSON: I mean, we girls wouldn`t. Maybe some boys?

ZALIS: We don`t know. We want to see a real man. He`s a cry baby. He`s like the king of "The Bachelor" breakdown. He cries on "The Bachelor." He cries on "Dancing with the Stars." That`s not who we want to see.

ANDERSON: That`s not who we want to see. OK. Well, we posted the question on our Facebook page today asking if people would pay to see either Jake or Vienna naked.

And I`ve got to say the votes seem to be split three different ways. Gary S. wrote this, "I would buy a copy of "Playboy" to see Vienna naked any day.

Lee W. wrote, "I would buy the issue to see Jake! Heck yes!"

But about a third of our Facebook fans wrote they don`t want it see either of them. And the Facebook fans have spoken. We`ll leave it there. Rachel Zalis, Maria Menounos, good to see you ladies. Thanks.

ANDERSON: That is one proud mama Madonna talking about her 13-year-old daughter - daughter, Lourdes, her personal fashion style and the clothing line for kids that they`ve just revealed.

But today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is revealing the breaking details on why Britney Spears will be duking it out with Lourdes for world fashion domination.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. We will have more on the smackdown between Britney and Madonna`s daughter in a moment.

But first, Jessica Simpson`s controversial new makeover today. Big news today about the future of Jessica`s VH1 reality show, "The Price of Beauty." That was where she traveled the world exploring inner beauty. It was a great concept.

Well, there are brand-new reports today that Jessica`s given up the search for inner beauty on her TV show and is going to do beauty makeovers instead.

Right now, in New York is Natalie Thomas. She is the deputy news editor for "Us Weekly." In Hollywood is Maria Menounos. She is a special correspondent for "Access Hollywood."

Natalie, Maria, the price of beauty, unfortunately, was not a runaway hit. So Jess and VH1 are reportedly turning it into some kind of makeover show, which brings me to today`s "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint." Is Jessica`s new makeover show hypocritical or brilliant?

I think brilliant. I think if done well, it could still be a positive influence on women. But Maria, a lot of people were saying today that Jessica is sending mixed messages. Do you think?

MENOUNOS: Well, I understand what they`re saying. I mean, the point of "The Price of Beauty" was to appreciate all different kinds of beauty in all different cultures. And I think it was a great show. It took us on a great ride.

But the moment where she made over that woman and gave her her life back, in a sense, was so powerful that I`m not surprised VH1 wants to follow in that path. And I don`t really think it`s hypocritical if she does it in a smart way and doesn`t make everyone look like her or live every other girl in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: Yes.

MENOUNOS: So it`s just in how she does it.

ANDERSON: Absolutely. If it`s done well and if these makeovers make women feel good about themselves and if it`s done in a healthy manner -

MENOUNOS: Why not?

ANDERSON: Well, yes. And Jessica has said she found her calling taping "The Price of Beauty." She even compared it to missionary work, saying, "It was what I was called to do and called to be."

Natalie, "Us Weekly" broke the story today about Jessica`s possible new makeover show. So what do you think, brilliant or hypocritical?

NATALIE THOMAS, DEPUTY NEWS EDITOR, "US WEEKLY": I think it`s absolutely brilliant. I think, like you said, she - you know, kind of this resonates with Jessica. Her career wasn`t taking off as far as acting or music was concerned. And she`s kind of smart. It`s a smart move on her and her father`s part.

You know, this is something that resonated with her. She was attacked brutally for her weight and it really hit a nerve. And you could see in the show it was something that was very authentic.

And her father was a pastor growing up. She did missions growing up. This is something that kind of resonates with her and is natural for her, unlike her acting career which wasn`t so natural.

ANDERSON: RIGHT. So it could be a great show. Well, we`ll have to reserve judgment until we see it. Reserve final judgment.

THOMAS: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: OK. I want to move now to a huge new smackdown brewing today, Britney Spears versus Madonna`s daughter, Lourdes. They`re at war for the heart and wallets of tween girls.

In this corner, Britney Spears, the reigning champ for two years with her line and a new collection called Britney for Candies. It hit stores today, and it has been a hit with girls.

In this corner, Lourdes Leone, the 13-year-old newcomer with a secret weapon, her mom, Madonna. Maria, who`s going to be victorious in this fashion face-off?

MENOUNOS: Absolutely hands-down, Lourdes. I would take tips from Lourdes and I actually am. When I read her little blog, I`m like, "I can`t believe I`m listening to a 13-year-old."

But she`s got style and Britney really doesn`t when you see how she`s photographed in the last couple years. I would never take my fashion tips from Britney. God bless her. I love her, but no fashion tips from her.

ANDERSON: Yes. Yes. Lourdes could be the next Donatella Versace. Who knows? She`s the designer and the inspiration for her Material Girl clothing line.

But for now, Madonna is the face of the collection. And in a video press release, Madonna says that her daughter`s style can be a bit risque. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MADONNA: I always have two reactions when Lola comes into my room with an outfit on. One is, "Oh, my gosh! She looks amazing. What incredible style." And then, my second reaction is, she`s dressed completely inappropriately for school.

I usually tell her to take off her, you know, three-inch or six-inch platforms and pull her skirt down just a little bit and take off some of the black eye makeup around her eyes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Geez. You know, I`ve got a few years before I`ve got to worry about what my daughter`s going to be wearing to school. But if Madonna is admitting that Lourdes crosses the line with what she wears, Natalie, should moms everywhere be nervous about what little Lourdes is going to be designing here?

THOMAS: Absolutely. Not only Lourdes, but Britney. I think moms everywhere need to be worried that, you know, their teens and tweens are going to be racing out to get these lines for back to school. And maybe not the most appropriate attire for school days.

ANDERSON: Well, maybe little Lourdes - go ahead, Maria.

MENOUNOS: I guess - I see what you`re saying. I just - on a fashion note, I think Lourdes` style is so much better.

THOMAS: Absolutely. Absolutely. She has an eye for sure.

ANDERSON: Yes, Lourdes definitely has the edge over Britney Spears. She does have the eye there. OK, we`ve got to go, ladies. Natalie Thomas, Maria Menounos, thank you both so much. Good chatting with you.

OK. Janet Jackson breaking her silence today about her new life and her blockbuster acting career. Kudos to my friend, HLN anchor Richelle Carey for getting an exclusive interview with Janet.

Janet is in Atlanta, hard at work on the new movie project with mega- director, Tyler Perry. And Friday, she`ll be performing in New Orleans at the big Essence Music Festival.

Now, Janet`s had some brand-new revelations about the first time she learned about the death of her friend and former "Diff`rent Strokes" co- star, Gary Coleman.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RICHELLE CAREY, HLN CORRESPONDENT: Let`s talk about kids and young people. The business can be glamorous. It can be hard as well. If you had children, would you want them to go into the business?

JANET JACKSON, ACTRESS AND SINGER: No.

CAREY: Why not?

JACKSON: It`s too difficult. You miss your childhood. You miss out on that. It`s hard. You have to really understand that going on an audition, if you don`t get the part, that it`s not, you know, about you`re not good enough always.

Sometimes, there is someone that they like better. Maybe there are other issues there. It`s just too difficult. Kids should have a life. They should enjoy their childhood. You only get one.

Maybe when they turn 18 if that`s what they want to go into, then that`s on them. But, no.

CAREY: We`re talking about the toll that this can take on children. How did you find out about Gary Coleman`s passing?

JACKSON: I saw it on the news and I was really shocked. I hadn`t spoken to him. I hadn`t spoken to Todd or anyone, but I was really surprised.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: You can watch more of Richelle Carey`s exclusive Janet Jackson interview Friday only on HLN at 4:00 p.m. Eastern. Tune in.

Check out what Ne-yo had to say to all the critics who claim Chris` tears were fake.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NE-YO, R & B SUPERSTAR: It seemed like the world is just being, like, exceptionally unforgiving behind this. And it`s, like, why, you know? Like, OK, people make mistakes, but forgiveness is divine.

Like, what happened to giving a person a second chance? It seemed like the world doesn`t want to do that which I totally don`t understand. So I - personally, I could totally feel where he was coming from.

I could totally feel where he was coming from. And I will look at this camera and say, give a guy a break. Come on. OK, he made a mistake. He apologized. Let`s move on. Let`s move on. There`s been bigger mistakes made by bigger celebrities. They were forgiven.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: It is hard to forget what Chris Brown did to Rihanna, but hopefully, Chris is a changed man.
