(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Come on. Do you really think they`re getting married? How many times have we heard that one before? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates.

Bundchen`s breast-feeding bombshell. The supermodel calling for a worldwide law forcing all women to breastfeed their babies. Say what?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

(MUSIC)

ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - the worst case of celebrity injustice ever?

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there was coast-to-coast outrage today over the virtual slap on the wrist that Charlie Sheen got after pleading guilty to attacking his wife. Yes.

And it came just in time for Charlie, who was free today, to get back to work on TV`s biggest hit sitcom, making nearly $2 million an episode.

But wait, there`s more. Not only does Charlie not have to worry about going to jail, even the rehab sentence he got could happen so fast, if you blink, you`ll miss it. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the late-breaking developments today in the sheer outrage over Sheen.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

BROOKE MUELLER, WIFE OF CHARLIE SHEEN: My husband had me - with a knife.

ANDERSON: Charlie Sheen finally learns his fate for a horrifying Christmas Day assault on his wife, Brooke Mueller, who accused him of holding a knife to her throat during an argument and even threatening to have her killed.

Sheen`s punishment? Jail? Not quite. Instead, he`s been sentenced to hard time here at this A-list rehab center, that`s less Rikers Island and more fantasy island. The morning shows today were filled with outrage over Sheen`s plea deal.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It`s not even within the realm of the most lenient of lenient sentences.

ANDERSON: And Charlie?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How are you, Charlie?

CHARLIE SHEEN, ACTOR: I`m good. How are you?

ANDERSON: Walking into court on his judgment day, Sheen looked like a guy who just won the lottery.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Glad to almost have this over with?

SHEEN: What do you think?

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the world is reacting with shock and anger today as Sheen once again escapes trouble unscathed.

BONNIE FULLER, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, "HOLLYWOODLIFE.COM": Once again, Charlie Sheen has lived up to his nickname of Teflon Charlie.

ANDERSON: Sheen`s alleged Christmas Day assault on his wife of two years was a disturbing scene that clashes with the beautiful landscape of Aspen, Colorado, the A-list resort town where the couple owned a vacation home.

It was here where the two had an argument that spiraled out of control and led his frightened wife to call 911.

MUELLER: I fear for my life and he threatened me.

ANDERSON: A police report claimed that during the fight, Sheen told his wife, quote, "You`d better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I`ll kill you."

FULLER: When the incident between the Sheens first came to light, it sounded extremely serious.

ANDERSON: Sheen denied attacking his wife saying he broke her glasses. Sheen and Mueller reportedly are now in divorce talks. But his attorney said she wanted the charges against him dropped. And that`s what led to the sweet plea deal he worked out.

FULLER: He`s been sentenced to just 30 days in rehab, probation and 36 hours of anger management.

ANDERSON: Sheen has 30 days to serve his sentence at the Promises Treatment Center where Sheen sought help in the `90s for his legendary drug habit. He spent another 93 days there earlier this year after the assault. And get this - that time might be credited toward the 30-day rehab stay required in his sentence.

FULLER: All he has to do is check in and then check out.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Where you going?

SHEEN: I don`t know. Someplace where the bottles are full and the women are empty.

ANDERSON: Sheen`s plea means he won`t miss any time shooting his sitcom "Two and a Half Men" and won`t miss out on the estimated $1.8 million he makes an episode in a deal he signed after the assault. That deal makes him the highest paid actor on TV.

Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, who represented a former girlfriend of Sheen`s whom he was also convicted of assaulting, is also outraged today. She calls Sheen`s new plea deal a travesty.

GLORIA ALLRED, ATTORNEY: It was a serious, real-life, dangerous situation and should carry serious, real-life consequences.

ANDERSON: But Sheen`s attorney has a different take on it.

YALE GALANTER, CHARLIE SHEEN`S ATTORNEY: I will tell you that the people here drove a very hard bargain, so there`s nothing easy about this sentence.

ANDERSON: Sheen`s weathered prostitution scandals, drug addiction and now multiple domestic violence incidents and he remains a very rich and very free man. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you it`s a continuing escape act that some are starting to get tired of.

FULLER: People are outraged over what they perceive to be a slap on the wrist for Charlie Sheen.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: A slap on the wrist indeed. He really is living up to that nickname "Teflon Charlie." And that brings us to the flash point, did Charlie get off too easy?

Right now, in Hollywood, Midwin Charles, who is a legal contributor with "In Session" on Tru TV. Also in Hollywood, Debra Opri, who is a family law attorney.

OK, Midwin, I`m going to begin with you, because the guy admits he assaulted his wife, attacked his wife. He pleaded guilty. Yet, here he only gets a slap on the wrist. The guy is going to be free and clear by Thanksgiving from probation. To the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, did he get off too easily here?

MIDWIN CHARLES, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION" ON TRU TV: Of course he did. I mean, it`s absolutely ridiculous. And I don`t understand how many more women does he have to beat up before the justice system in California gets it together and recognizes that this cannot be tolerated.

ANDERSON: Yes. And I understand that is how a plea deal works. I realize the prosecutor was faced with many, many challenges in this case because Charlie`s wife, Brooke, essentially wanted all the charges dropped. She wasn`t willing to testify. But even so, Debra - out to you. Do you think he got off too easily?

DEBRA OPRI, FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY: Absolutely not. How you can get off too easy from a case that didn`t have any legs? He was never going to get convicted of a crime.

And the deal the prosecutor took - it was an offer they couldn`t and didn`t refuse. They didn`t have a victim who is going to testify against Charlie.

Charlie was going to come across as a victim because she had the higher alcohol content. He had a 0.04 and she had a 0.14. And from the testimony and credibility, listen, I think he was going to float to the top.

ANDERSON: But here`s the thing. He admitted he assaulted his wife. And granted because he did that, the felony was dropped and it was only a misdemeanor. But it`s domestic violence we`re talking about here. That is unacceptable, Debra. And to think he is free to go back to work, he`s free to make millions, relatively unscathed in a way, is unreal to me.

OPRI: Brooke, I handle criminal cases. I`ve handled family law cases where domestic violence is always an issue. Domestic violence is inexcusable. But an assault, from what we understand, were two versions, and the truth is the third version.

You have her saying he put a knife to her throat. You have him saying, I threw glasses and pushed her. So you know, what is the truth? The truth is the prosecution couldn`t have a winning case so they took this deal and they knocked it down to a misdemeanor because they didn`t have a case. So he copped a plea to what? Who could deal with that?

ANDERSON: Midwin, you want to jump in there, I can tell.

OPRI: Yes.

CHARLES: I do. And one of the things I am surprised the prosecution didn`t take into account is that the fact that he has a history of doing this. And yes, I get her point that they might have had a difficult time in proving their case. But there are so many ways that they could have made his punishment a bit stiffer, make the probation a bit longer, make him take anger management courses. You don`t have any of that.

ANDERSON: Yes. Yes. Only 36 hours of this domestic violence evaluation and anger management, only three months probation.

CHARLES: Yes. I call that a ha-ha.

ANDERSON: Yes, a ha-ha -

CHARLES: I got over.

ANDERSON: Slap on the wrist. I`m not affected. Oh, brother. I`ve got to move now to freed, former jailbird, Lindsay Lohan who is now sitting inside a rehab facility, that rehab facility apparently at the UCLA Medical Center.

But we are hearing from her in a brand-new interview revealed today, before Lindsay was locked up in jail. She shot the cover of the September issue of "Maxim" magazine, had this to say, "I am feeling strong. I`ve experienced a lot in my life and my mom has given me a lot of faith. This too shall pass."

She chalked up the past 12 months to quote, "another year in a lifetime of living and learning." I`ve got to say, "Wow, Lindsay has found some religion. Amen to that." I hope the girl is being honest and she`s truly doing some soul-searching here.

But, Midwin, actions speak louder than words. So until I see it, I`m going to have a hard time believing it.

CHARLES: Hey, I agree with you. I mean, one of the things you can really take from her statements is that she perhaps gets it, is trying to do the work that it takes to get better, and have a career and have a future ahead of her.

But, like you said, we have to see those actions taken so that she can get to where she needs to go.

ANDERSON: Yes. Lindsay, so young, only 24 - still got her whole life ahead of her. Lindsay, now is the time. Dig in, girl. Change your life for the better. All right. Lindsay will have more than enough time, as we know, as she sits in court-ordered rehab for the next 90 days to think about what her future life choices are going to be.

Meantime, Charlie`s 30-day jail sentence really just means checking in and out of a posh rehab facility. That leads us to our great SHOWBIZ TONIGHT debate - Charlie versus Lindsay - who got off easier? Midwin Charles, Debra Opri, don`t go anywhere.

All right. Before we get to that debate, we want to know what you think about it. It is our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll - "Charlie Sheen versus Lindsay Lohan: Who got off easier?" Who do you think? Vote, CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. E-mail us showbiztonight@cnn.com.

OK. I have got to move on to another big story making news today. Is the future of "American Idol" in trouble? Disturbing new "American Idol" news breaking today. Randy Jackson, the last judge standing or sitting on the show. The startling new reports today that his judge job could be in jeopardy.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARTINEZ: Will you marry me?

FEDOTOWSKY: Oh, my gosh. Yes. Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: She said yes, but will Ali and Roberto make it to "I do"? I cannot believe there are people talking smack about one of my favorite TV shows today. "The Bachelorette" a joke? To all you haters out there, bring it on.

And Gisele`s breast-feeding law? The supermodel`s outrageous demand today that moms should be forced - forced to breastfeed their babies. Say what, Gisele? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking in "The Buzz" today.

Gisele`s breastfeeding law? Yes, supermodel Gisele Bundchen`s outrageous demand that women be forced to breastfeed their babies. And the "Mad Men" weight shocker. Which "Mad Men" star was just told to pack on the pounds? And this is just incredible. Justin Bieber telling his life story in 3-D. All making big news in "The Buzz" today.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): Bieber fever in 3-D. We`ve just learned that Justin Bieber`s life story is being made into a 3-D movie. The Bieb just tweeted, "This is so sick. Going to come out in theaters worldwide Valentine`s 2011. I`m taking this thing worldwide thanks to you all. Hyped."

Bieber will play himself in the film. And the news comes one day after we learn the 16-year-old pop star is writing his memoir. Yes, his memoir at 16. No word on whether it might be a pamphlet.

"Madmen" want with real women. In an explosive brand-new interview, "Madman" star January Jones reveals the creator of the show told her to gain weight. Jones told "Tattler" magazine, quote, " He would prefer we didn`t work out and that we eat really well so we look like healthy women."

And she says her curvy costar, Christina Hendricks, shows it`s OK to have curves and be a woman, "I wish more women would realize that`s what men like."

Bundchen`s breastfeeding bombshell. Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has just demanded a worldwide law that mothers breastfeed their babies for six months. She tells "Harper`s Bazaar U.K." that ever mother should be forced to breastfeed so babies aren`t getting food with chemicals."

Gisele and hubby, Tom Brady, had their first baby seven months ago.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

Yikes. Calling for a worldwide law demanding women everywhere breastfeed their babies?

With me right now, Shannon Fox, who is an author and psychotherapist.

Shannon, I`ve got to tell you, I did breastfeed my baby. I felt that was important. But here`s the thing. It`s a personal decision and some women have a difficult time physically even doing it. So I think it was incredibly insensitive for Gisele to even say these things.

SHANNON FOX, PSYCHOTHERAPIST AND AUTHOR: Very, and how ridiculous to think that you could possibly legislate what a woman feeds her child.

ANDERSON: Right.

FOX: I have a 5-year-old. Does that mean she`s going to say I must feed my child organic spinach?

ANDERSON: It`s outrageous.

FOX: Right. Absolutely. Yes, breastfeeding is best for children, but I have many women come into my therapy office because they feel like failures if they can`t, for whatever reason, for whatever lifestyle reason, manage to breastfeed their children. And breast is best, you know. But still -

ANDERSON: Gisele should not make any of us feel inadequate because we are not perfect supermodels like she is.

FOX: Right.

ANDERSON: Shannon and I honestly think they are feeding those women something in Brazil that we just don`t get here.

But I digress, because here`s the thing - Gisele, as I said, a supermodel. She has a ton of money. She`s got a ton of access to resources that most women cannot afford and don`t have. So I think that`s part of what ticks people off when they hear something like this.

FOX: Well, absolutely. And I can imagine that Gisele saying, "Breastfeeding got me back into my body like this." There are going to be women getting pregnant just so they can breastfeed to get that body.

ANDERSON: Say it isn`t so.

FOX: If that`s the truth, I want my money back breastfeeding three children later.

ANDERSON: That is not what happened to me. It was very difficult to lose that post-baby weight.

FOX: Right.

ANDERSON: But like I say, Gisele, pretty much near-perfect. And we cannot think that we can relate to what she says all the time. And law forcing women to breastfeed - just outrageous.

All right. I have to say, though, I cannot find anything wrong with our buzz story about "Mad Man" star, January Jones. She was asked to gain some weight by the creator of the show. So Shannon, I applaud the show for celebrating women, celebrating real women.

FOX: Yes, absolutely. Absolutely. It`s wonderful. And we have to get realistic here. We`re talking January Jones. We`re not talking really real women.

ANDERSON: Right.

FOX: We`re talking TV real, like maybe from a size zero to a size two.

ANDERSON: Maybe she`ll start to get to that point, though. I think it`s a good step in the right direction.

FOX: And a great message.

ANDERSON: All right. Shannon Fox, thank you so much. Charlie Sheen versus Lindsay Lohan. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to go there - who got off easier, Charlie or Lindsay?

What Lady Gaga just did on stage just landed her in the middle of one of the most heated controversial battles of all time. But will Gaga spark change around the country?

Her "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" music videos are both nominated for Best Choreography and Video of the Year. The VMAs will be handed out September 12th on MTV. I`m sure Gaga is going to rack up.

And there`s brand-new shocking reaction today to what Lady Gaga did just on stage during her concert in Phoenix, Arizona. It was all caught on tape.

Gaga slammed Arizona`s controversial new immigration law in the middle of her performance. You`ve got to see her dramatic plea to the thousands of little monsters in the audience to get involved and do something to fight back.

And we will hold each other and we will peaceably protest this state.

ANDERSON: Now, this isn`t the first time Gaga has gone political. Late last year, she joined gay rights activists at the National Equality March on Capitol Hill.

(MUSIC)

ANDERSON: We welcome you back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with breaking news today - who got off easier?

It`s a big case of crime and punishment today pitting Lindsay Lohan against Charlie Sheen. It`s a showbiz great debate and it`s starting now.

Joining me right now in Hollywood, Midwin Charles, who is a legal contributor for "In Session" - that`s on our sister network, Tru TV. Also, right now, in Hollywood, Debra Opri, who is a family law attorney.

Ladies, let`s line them up side by side. Here they are. Charlie Sheen just pleaded guilty to third degree misdemeanor assault. That was after being accused of holding a knife to his wife`s throat. Lindsay violated her 2007 DUI probation. She missed court-ordered alcohol education classes.

So now onto their punishment - Charlie Sheen`s felony count dropped. His 30-day jail sentence - well, that really just means checking in and out of a posh rehab.

Lindsay, on the other hand, 90 days in jail. She only served 13. She got 90 days in rehab. Debra, who got of easier here?

OPRI: I have to tell you as a prior criminal defense attorney, you look at the long-term effects. Lindsay got off easier because her demons are faced. She faced her demons. She did her time. She`s doing to move on with her life. Charlie I don`t think got off so easy.

ANDERSON: What?

OPRI: Charlie copped a plea - he copped a plea to un-provable defense. He basically said, "I want this out of here. I don`t want to be bothered." But he was clean for 10 years.

Lindsay, basically, violated seven probation events. She basically said, "I served -" no, no. "I served 13 days, she said, "It` behind me. I`m going to do my drug rehab."

And you know, frankly, in a perfect world, it`s going to be Charlie may meet up with Lindsay at an A.A. But she`s facing her demons. Is he? I don`t think so. So I think she got off cheaper in the long run.

ANDERSON: OK. Midwin, do you agree here?

CHARLES: Don`t want to be bothered? I don`t get that. I mean, Charlie beat a woman down. Let`s be clear here.

ANDERSON: And so he did. He said, "Yes."

OPRI: He didn`t beat anybody down. That wasn`t proven.

CHARLES: He pled guilty to misdemeanor assault, OK?

ANDERSON: Yes.

CHARLES: Assault means you hit someone, OK? And he pled guilty to that.

(CROSS TALK)

CHARLES: It is a crime of violence. Lindsay`s issues, however, are related to her violating probation. And I`m not at all trying to mitigate her drinking and driving. Those are very serious charges.

ANDERSON: Yes.

CHARLES: But at the end of the day, I think he got off scot-free to the extent he`s not being hounded by the media the way Lindsay is. He doesn`t have to do 90 days. And what I think he really needs is anger rehab. He clearly has an issue. This is not the first woman to come forward and say that he beat her up.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: And Lindsay did not get punished more harshly or more leniently than any other criminal -

CHARLES: Two different ball games.

ANDERSON: Who would have done the same - had the same offenses, you know. So -

CHARLES: Right.

ANDERSON: And then, here you have Charlie Sheen who, by Thanksgiving, is going to be off probation.

CHARLES: Right. Right. And clearly, I think there are some issues there and I think - I can`t believe the prosecutor didn`t try to address them.

Because when prosecutors look at cases and they take deals - and I get it. I understand you will give a more lenient sentence because this person is waiving their right to a trial.

But still, the point is you have to send a message to society, which is that this kind of behavior is not going to be tolerated and you`re not going to encourage it.

ANDERSON: It does not send that message to me, Midwin. I`ve got to say this, Debra, Charlie and Lindsay`s futures look pretty darn different, because speaking of probation, Lindsay`s going to be on probation for the next year until August 2011. As I mentioned, Charlie will only have three months, unsupervised probation, 36 hours domestic violence evaluation.

So Debra, I am surprised that Charlie - let`s talk about probation - didn`t get a stricter probation. What about you?

OPRI: Look, you have to look at the difference of the charges and of the evidence. Charlie had a case where, if it went to trial, he would never have been convicted. There was not a willing witness to testify against him.

They already had a case and a conviction against Lindsay. She was in a major car accident, violated seven terms of probation. She was an accident that was out of control. She is facing her demons.

But Charlie - Charlie had an incident between him and his wife where she clammed up and they weren`t going to prove anything. And domestic violence is very serious. But when she said drunk to 911, "He`s holding a knife to my throat" -

ANDERSON: All right.

OPRI: And he`s saying, "I just pushed her and threw some glasses." You know, you`ve got to see the apples and oranges. It`s very different.

ANDERSON: There is an issue of credibility there. You`re right about that. You`re right about that.

(CROSS TALK)

Debra, you say that Lindsay Lohan is facing her demons. So I`ve got to say the big question remains today, will Lindsay learn from rehab? I`m thinking it`s time maybe for Lindsay to learn a lesson or two -

OPRI: Lindsay has learned -

ANDERSON: From some other big stars in the same situation she is. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): It has been a long, hard fall for Lindsay Lohan from her "Parent Trap" and "Mean Girls" days of success. And after serving less than two weeks behind bars, she is back in a familiar place - rehab.

STEVE WHITMORE, SPOKESMAN, L.A. COUNTY SHERIFF`S DEPARTMENT: A court ordered - she has been sent directly to her next destination, which is a treatment center. And she will now be under the supervision of the L.A. County Probation Department.

ANDERSON: This is at least the third time Lindsay has gone to rehab and SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you what`s happened to her is all too familiar in Hollywood.

Robert Downey, Jr. was also a young success with films like "Less Than Zero" and "Chaplain." Like Lindsay, Downey`s career came to a crashing halt, in and out of rehabs, spending time in jail. But these days -

ROBERT DOWNEY, JR., ACTOR: It`s good to be back.

ANDERSON: And he sure is back with hit films like "Iron Man." Like Lindsay, the temptations of young fame helped do him in, telling "Rolling Stone" magazine, "All those careers of snorting coke and then I accidentally get involved in heroin after smoking crack for the first time, it finally tied my shoelaces together. Smoking dope and smoking coke, you were rendered defenseless. The only way out of that hopeless state is intervention."

KEN SEELEY, ADDICTION SPECIALIST: She has to understand that if she continues down this road, what`s going to happen is death.

ANDERSON: Ken Seeley is an addiction specialist and former star of the hit A & E show, "Intervention." He tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Lindsay needs to take a page from Downey`s playbook and follow it closely.

SEELEY: The ones that seek treatment and recovery and respond to that, they end up living. They end up still having their careers and having their lives.

ANDERSON: Psychologist Michelle Golland tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Lindsay needs to take it one step at a time.

MICHELLE GOLLAND, PSYCHOLOGIST: Step one at UCLA. What they`re going to need to do is really figure out if she does have a dual diagnosis. So besides substance abuse, she may be experiencing major depression, anxiety.

She would then be going into individual therapy, group therapy, and having to see if she has already withdrawn from medications and drugs that she has been on.

ANDERSON: And if Lindsay needs more inspiration, she should look at Drew Barrymore. Barrymore was also a hard-partying young star - drugs, alcohol - and was already in rehab by the time she was 13 years old.

GOLLAND: Drew Barrymore started as early as Lindsay Lohan did in acting and, truthfully, had a very boundary-less family. I think the same thing is what happened with Lindsay. And so she never developed that internal sense of what is OK, what is not OK, and how to take care of herself.

ANDERSON: Taking care of herself and learning from others who have gone through the same thing, which just may mean that there is still hope that the one with-time "Parent Trap" star just might escape from the young celebrity trap.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

I`ve got to say I am optimistic Lindsay Lohan can turn her life around if she`s serious about doing so. All right. We`ll leave it there. Midwin Charles, Debra Opri, thanks, ladies. Good to see you.

Hey, did you see the finale of "The Bachelorette." I`ve got to admit, I love, love, love the show. But today, Debbie Downers everywhere are saying that love on reality TV can never be real.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARTINEZ: Will you marry me?

FEDOTOWSKY: Oh, my gosh. Yes. Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I think it`s romantic. But the haters say Ali and Roberto`s love can never last. It`s the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - is "The Bachelorette" a big joke?

Disturbing NEW "American Idol" news out today. Is Randy Jackson getting the ax? Could the show be canceled? Is "American Idol" in turmoil?

And could it be true? An Eva Mendes sex tape? Eva telling the world today that, yes, her sex tape is out there. But who`s ever heard of adhesive sex tape?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MENDES: I was making my way as an actor. And suddenly, the Internet was demanding that I release this household product. People want their tapes to secure their things extremely well. They want S.EX. tape.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I definitely want to pass this tradition down to my daughters. I would love for them to make sauce just like their mama.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: From making a red sauce to making headlines on the great white way, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" are about to make a saucy debut on stage.

We learned today that Teresa, Ashley, Jacqueline, Caroline and Lauren are all joining the cast of the off-Broadway show "My Big Gay Italian Wedding" in September.

Tickets benefit Marriage Equality New York. And get this, if you pay a little more, you can party with the ladies after the show. And judging from how they do it on Bravo, that will be some party, right?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with "American Idol`s" new turmoil today. As if losing Ellen, who quit, and Kara DioGuardi, who may have been fired isn`t enough, get this. We learned today that even Randy Jackson`s job isn`t safe. And who did we learn this from? Randy Jackson himself.

Right now, in New York is Jennifer Armstrong, who is a senior writer with "Entertainment Weekly." Right now, in Hollywood, is Laura Saltman, who a writer for the "Dish of Salt" column on "AccessHollywood.com."

Jennifer, Laura, let`s take a look, shall we, at some of the disturbing "Idol" developments just in today. First, Fox says no deals are done, which means, as of right now, they have no word on who will be judging "Idol."

Randy Jackson has just revealed he`s not sure if he`s going to be back for another season saying that Seacrest is the only sure thing for season 10. Just today, Ryan Seacrest says it could be weeks - weeks until we find out who will be sitting at the judge`s table.

Laura, you have been covering "American Idol" for years and years and years. This is your specialty. Does it boggle your mind how chaotic it seems?

LAURA SALTMAN, COLUMNIST, "DISH OF SALT" ON "ACCESSHOLLYWOOD.COM": I am actually really, really shocked that they don`t have judges in place right now. I mean, they`ve already done the auditions, the big stadium auditions.

Now, the judges don`t go there. It`s the producers that audition when they have like 10,000 people there. But it`s shocking to me that they haven`t figured this out. They have a long time since Simon said he was leaving, to actually start looking for judges and working it out. So it is shocking to me, and I can see how you guys can call it in turmoil.

ANDERSON: Yes. And you know - and a lot of names are flying around out there as possible replacements, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler. I think Steven Tyler might be a good fit.

In a brand new interview with radio show Kidd Kraddick in the morning Tyler confirmed that Fox is talking to him about it. Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

STEVEN TYLER: This beautiful girl from fox came up to me and made an offer. I honored her offer.

KIDD KRADDICK, HOST, "KIDD KRADDICK IN THE MORNING": All night long?

TYLER: I was honoring her offer -

KRADDICK: Honoring her offer all night?

TYLER: No. And it is just a work in progress. It`s just one of those things, you know? They mentioned it, and I listened. And we`re on tour so I`ve got to give it some time.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I took a look at Aerosmith`s tour schedule. Listen to this. Their last show, September 4th, so that`s perfect timing for Tyler to end one gig, start another on "Idol."

Jennifer, what do you think? Should they bring in Tyler? You know, some say get rid of Randy, though. I don`t know. He`s my dog. But some say drop a nuclear bomb on the show, boom. Start from scratch.

JENNIFER ARMSTRONG, SENIOR WRITER, "ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY": Yes. You know what? It certainly could be very intriguing. They have been slipping a little in the ratings, but they`re still way up there. So there`s still life left in this.

And you`ve got to admit, a lot of people would tune in just out of curiosity to see a whole new judges panel when it starts.

ANDERSON: Absolutely. You know, Laura, they may be going from four judges to three, right? Quickly.

SALTMAN: Yes. I think they should go from four judges to three. That was the problem, like Ellen didn`t really add that much. It`s too many people talking and they needed to get through what they have to say and move on with it. Although I don`t agree with Steven Tyler. I`m sorry. I think he`s a little kooky.

ANDERSON: What?

SALTMAN: I`m sorry. I think he`s a little scary-looking, too.

ANDERSON: Why does everybody hate Steven Tyler? Am I the only one that likes this guy and thinks he would be a good possible judge?

(CROSS TALK)

Hey, I`ve met him. He`s warm. He`s open. I think he`d be a great fit. Everybody hating on Tyler but me.

All right. We`ve got to move now to another story making news today. Should we really believe in TV romance? Last night, on "The Bachelorette," Ali picked Roberto Martinez, saying he`s her true love. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARTINEZ: I want to share my life with you. You share your life with me. Be my wife. Ali, will you marry me?

FEDOTOWSKY: Oh, my gosh. Yes. Yes.

ANDERSON: I personally am very happy for Ali and Roberto. I think they`ve got a shot. But I know, I know - we have seen this time and time again. They say they`re in love. Two months later, it`s over. That leads to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - is "The Bachelorette" and shows like that a big joke? Jennifer, out to you? What do you think?

ARMSTRONG: You know, call me crazy or call me a romantic. It was only 24 hours ago that I watched this and swooned. I still want to believe. And who`s to say? You never know where you`re going to meet your soul mate. Why not at on a reality show?

It`s got to happen at some point, right? The odds are almost in their favor in a weird way because it keeps not happening. It`s got to work eventually, right?

SALTMAN: What kind of water are you guys drinking?

ANDERSON: Lauren, what do think, very quickly.

SALTMAN: Honestly - really? What are you guys drinking? Come on. They`ve had one successful couple, Trista and Ryan.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: We`re going to leave it there. I know the odds are against them, but I am rooting for them. Jennifer Armstrong, Laura Saltman, thanks, ladies.

ANDERSON: I don`t know about class, but we all know the gang from "Jersey Shore" knows how to create some fist-pumping reality drama. But can they act?

Big news today that one of the tanned and buffed "Shore" stars might take on acting in a hit TV drama. But is that just going to create one big, bad situation? Is the "Jersey Shore" gang about to invade the set of "Bones?"

Brand new reports today say "Bones" creator Hart Hanson wants Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino to be a guest star on the hit show this fall.

But I can tell you The Situation wouldn`t be doing much gym, tanning or laundry on the show, because if he does, he`ll play a murder victim if he does the show. The "Jersey Shore" star hasn`t signed on yet, but if "The Sit" agrees to do the part, the fist-pumping episode of "Bones" is slated to air in October.
