HAMMER: Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer, coming to you from New York City with big news breaking today - Fantasia`s brand-new suicide confessions.
Former "American Idol" winner Fantasia went on live national television this morning and she confirmed what everyone had feared. She tried to kill herself. For the very first time, one of America`s biggest singing stars is revealing why she tried to take her own life and how she tried to do it.
But you know, as troubling as all that is, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that Fantasia is being criticized today for her chilling confessions.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
BARRINO: You can`t accidentally take a whole bottle of pills.
HAMMER (voice-over): Today, for the very first time, former "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino is admitting something her fans suspected and feared. She reveals today on VH1`s "Behind the Music" that her horrifying overdose on August 9th was, indeed, an intentional attempt to kill herself.
BARRINO: I was tired of people doing me wrong, constantly, over and over and over again. Dealing with my family, dealing with my father, dealing with men and their bull (EXPLETIVE DELETED). I was tired. My head was hurting me. I was over it. So, yes, I knew exactly what I was doing.
HAMMER: This morning, on "Good Morning America," Fantasia did her first live TV interview since the overdose. Fantasia told Robin Roberts she had been going through a rough time ever since she won "American Idol" in 2004.
BARRINO: I caught so much drama about being a young mom and not having my high school diploma. The foreclosure. There`s just so many things that I had to deal with me losing - almost losing my whole career.
So much that people don`t understand. They just see the glitz and the glamour. They feel like life is so perfect, but we`re human and we go through things.
HAMMER: To say Fantasia has gone through things recently is an understatement. She`s been in the headlines this summer since the estranged wife of her boyfriend Antwaun Cook named her in divorce papers she filed and blasted Fantasia.
NINA PARKER, PRODUCER, TMZ: Antwaun Cook`s wife basically came out swinging and said that she believed that Fantasia was the reason for her divorce. Her husband had cheated on her. And she believed there was a sex tape with her husband and Fantasia.
Shortly after that was filed, there were rumors swirling that wife may even sue Fantasia for a law - an older law in North Carolina that basically allows a wife to sue a mistress.
HAMMER: Fantasia`s manager says the day Fantasia read the complaint from her boyfriend`s estranged wife, she overdosed on aspirin and a sleep aid, something Fantasia herself now confirms in her brand-new interviews out today.
BARRINO: I think everybody feels like I tried to harm myself over a man, but I have been in a lot of bad relationships.
HAMMER: But speaking about her failed suicide attempt this morning on "Good Morning America," Fantasia denied it was the scandalous affair that led to her suicide attempt.
BARRINO: I think it was - that had somewhat to do with it because, you know, it was so heavy. It was brand-new information. I was already going through so much. But I think it was just six years of everything, of me holding on to that stuff on the inside and not letting it out. And I just got very, very tired.
(SINGING)
HAMMER: Fantasia`s confessions today come on the same day her new album "Back to Me" was released. But the suicide admission hasn`t stopped the controversy that surrounds her. Just a day after she was released from the hospital following her overdose, she was photographed with her boyfriend Antwaun Cook apparently filming for her VH1 reality show, "Fantasia for Real."
And Fantasia`s current media tour for the problems and to promote album just two week weeks after her suicide attempt is raising some eyebrows.
PARKER: If someone is not in stable mental health, definitely the best thing to not be doing is traveling, doing tons of interviews. It is a little curious.
HAMMER: But "Us Weekly`s" Ian Drew tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Fantasia has always been open about her struggles. And now is no different.
IAN DREW, SENIOR MUSIC EDITOR, "US WEEKLY": She holds true to the fact she`s always open and honest about everything and doesn`t hold back and puts her life and her emotions into her work.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Well, Fantasia certainly hasn`t held anything back. But just two weeks after she nearly ended her life, a lot of people are questioning her timing of her suicide confession. And that leads to today`s "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" - is Fantasia making a big mistake by putting herself out there?
With me in New York is Cooper Lawrence. Cooper is a syndicated radio host and author of "The Cult of Celebrity." Right now, from Atlanta, Carlos Diaz. Carlos is a syndicated radio host and all week long, he is sitting in as guest host on "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ MITCHELL," 7:00 p.m. Eastern, right here on HLN.
Personally, I think it is very brave of Fantasia to be so open, so honest about everything. I do not think she did this for publicity at all. But to me the danger is that this could just invite exactly the kind of drama she says got her here in this mess to begin with.
So Cooper, to the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint," is Fantasia making a big mistake by putting herself out here and out there like this right now?
COOPER LAWRENCE, SYNDICATED RADIO SHOW HOST AND AUTHOR: No. And shame on anybody who`s criticizing her for going through depression publicly. I think we have stigmatized that too much in this country.
And I think people that don`t say anything ends up committing suicide. So thank God that she wrote - there were people around to find her, to help her, now that she is reaching out.
And for anybody that is watching right now that is going through this, I`m begging for them to step forward and say something to somebody. Because the numbers in the country tell us that suicide is too much of an option for people because they`re afraid to come out and say, "I`m depressed. I have a problem."
HAMMER: Right.
LAWRENCE: And there`s always that one thing that puts them over the edge. And for her, it was the public knowledge she was having this affair.
HAMMER: But the problem is she puts herself out there like this. And whether it`s wrong for people to criticize her or not, and I obviously think it is wrong for them to do that, they`re going to do it.
So Carlos, to the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint," is Fantasia making a big mistake?
CARLOS DIAZ, SYNDICATED RADIO HOST: Wow, Cooper. Shame on anyone, Cooper? Really? Come on.
LAWRENCE: She is in pain, Carlos.
DIAZ: OK. But she -
LAWRENCE: She`s in pain.
DIAZ: Great. Then, Cooper, what she needs to do is get some professional help and not go and promote an album. Cooper, let me give you a fact, all right, that you might not have known.
We contacted some of the producers at "GMA" and we have learned that she was not booked on "GMA" until after she tried to commit suicide, all right?
LAWRENCE: So you`re saying she did it as a publicity stunt?
DIAZ: I`m not - no, no, no, no. Cooper, I`m not saying that.
LAWRENCE: Did you see the Lifetime special?
DIAZ: I`ll let you finish. You done?
LAWRENCE: No, no. I`m saying the woman`s in pain. I don`t think we should be criticizing her.
DIAZ: I`m not criticizing her. In fact, I`m rooting for her. I hope her album does well. I hope she`s number one on the charts. But what I`m saying is, what if it doesn`t? What if the album sells as badly as her last albums have sold? What if she doesn`t do well, all right?
What does she do then? This is a person who tried to commit suicide 15 days ago, tried to end her life 15 days ago.
LAWRENCE: I`ve got to tell you, I think it is worse if she does well, because I don`t think she can handle the fame. I think that`s what`s really putting her over the edge.
DIAZ: She is talking about the fact that - she`s talking about the fact -
LAWRENCE: I hope that her album does OK for her. But in a way, I think she should come out of the spotlight.
HAMMER: Let me jump in. Here`s the thing. Carlos, I think this is the point you`re making. But I think, basically, what he`s saying is - all right, you know, she may not be doing this as a publicity stunt, but too much too soon. Lay low.
Yes, it`s bad timing. The album`s coming out. Lay low and get the professional help you need. But there`s something that really struck me among the many things during Fantasia`s interview with "Good Morning America."
I want to get to this because this is perhaps one of the most telling things. She talked about how the pressure of fame just pushed her right to her breaking point. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BARRINO: I have to take it back to when I stepped on the "Idol" stage. You know, I caught so much drama about being a young mom, not having my high school diploma, the way I spoke. Me taking off my shoes.
There was always something wrong with me. Just so many things that I had to deal with me losing - almost losing my whole career and not having management and lawyers and everybody who was saying they had my back. Nobody taking care of me. Me taking care of my whole family.
So much that people don`t understand. They just see the glitz and the glamour and they feel like life is so perfect.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: I mean, to me, I watch that. It is clear this is a young woman who got swept up into the limelight with a lot of people taking advantage of her.
Obviously, Fantasia already had a difficult personal life and past. But Cooper, clearly, Fantasia was not ready -
LAWRENCE: No.
HAMMER: For the fame she got some six years ago.
LAWRENCE: No, she`s still not. I don`t know why they didn`t put that album on hold and put it out later. She is not mentally stable to be doing any publicity. She`s not in the place in her life right now.
She`s got to be there for her family and everybody else. It`s just I don`t think she`s ready to be on tour. I don`t think she can handle the fame. And I think she is vulnerable to begin with, because she clearly has some psychological issues.
HAMMER: And I`m worried - and Carlos, tell me if you agree - that her going out there and talking about this right now, despite the fact that she`s working with this life coach she said - said it was OK for her to do this. But this could all backfire on her.
DIAZ: Exactly. I`m not criticizing her. I`m saying, you know what? I hope that you are getting the help that you need rather than being pressured by a record company or an agent or a manager who is saying -
HAMMER: Yes.
DIAZ: "Hey, you have an album to promote." You`ve got to put that on hold and put your life first. And don`t forget, she has a child which I have not heard one thing about. Fantasia has a child. Where is the child in this entire situation?
HAMMER: We`ve got to end it there. Carlos Diaz, Cooper Lawrence, thank you both.
Well, it is all out real housewives hysteria and it`s all caught on tape today.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (EXPLETIVE DELETED) you down.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you really sure you want to go there?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (EXPLETIVE DELETED), Teresa.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Ladies, ladies, please play nice. What exactly sent the ""Real Housewives of New Jersey"" stars over the edge? Maybe too much traffic on the turnpike or something? I don`t know.
The Tiger divorce shocker today. Tiger Woods` divorce has been finalized. Wife Elin - she`s reportedly getting $100 million. Sounds like a big old chunk of change, right? But the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" today - does Elin deserve more?
And sex, drugs and Miley Cyrus? Explosive details revealed today about what may be 17-year-old Miley`s new movie. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. It is time now for SHOWBIZ special report, 40 and fabulous.
You know, there was a time, not all that long ago when an actress in her 40s was considered washed up. Thankfully, not anymore.
You`ve got stars like Halle Berry and Julia Roberts in their 40s and still big-time A-listers. They are sending a clear message today to all those young starlets out there and it is this. Being 40-something is nothing short of fabulous. Here now is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Who said 40 isn`t fabulous? Halle Berry, 44. Julia Roberts, 42. Jennifer Aniston, 41. And the other Jennifer, Lopez, also 41, all proving you can be over 40 and fierce.
All four of these sexy, stylish ladies are gracing the covers of the top fashion magazines` September issues, traditionally, the biggest editions of the year previewing fall fashion, a loud and clear message that 40 is the new fabulous. Veteran model and TV host Roshumba Williams tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT the choice is strategic.
ROSHUMBA WILLIAMS, VETERAN MODEL AND TV HOST: When you look at, like, the demographic of woman who can actually spend the money and buy these high- end clothes, you`ve got to have people actually older that, you know, the women relating to because women don`t necessarily want to see, you know, their daughters actually selling them products anymore. They want to see women they identify with.
ANDERSON: Move over 20-something starlets, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Hollywood`s long-time leading ladies are not just rocking fashion. Julia Roberts is the flawless face of Lancome cosmetics. Halle Berry is radiant for Revlon. And Jennifer Aniston`s buff bod is the living billboard for Smart Water.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT went right to the executive editor of "Allure" magazine to find out what in the world is going on here.
KRISTIN PERROTA, EXECUTIVE EDITOR, "ALLURE" MAGAZINE: Celebrities who are over 40 are definitely very interesting to advertisers. They help to draw in a lot of more affluent women toward a brand. They also tend to be intriguing toward younger women because these are women who are real role models.
ANDERSON: Pretty young things may be the talk of the tabloids, but when it comes to giving fashion and beauty advice, the talk is all about the older and wiser celebs.
PERROTA: They really do have a lot to say and a lot of knowledge to give. And that`s why we find them to be amazing subjects for our stories.
Our readers do want to know what Cindy Crawford is doing to take care of her skin. They want to know what Mariska Hargitay has done to keep her body in shape, because these are real women with the same problems we`re all going through. But they have just been able to get through things looking a little bit better than the rest of us.
ANDERSON: So SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has got to ask, why such a big difference now? Why the sudden shift?
PERROTA: The difference is partly because we have got such a group of big stars who have now gotten to be over 40. You know, the Jennifer Anistons, the Sarah Jessica Parkers, Catherine Zeta-Jones - these are the biggest, you know, box office number-driving stars. And now, they happen to be older.
WILLIAMS: That older woman represents that accomplished women, so why not - why isn`t there room for everyone?
ANDERSON: And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you it`s a safe bet these fantastic, 40-something women will be dominating those coveted covers for a long time to come.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson. Now, even though Demi Moore did not make the cover of this year`s September issues, she does hold the title for being the oldest cover model on the big mags. Demi posed in "Harper`s Bazaar" and "W" this year at the age of 47.
Well, you know, there are a lot of 40-plus actors and actresses who look beautiful naturally. But Jimmy Fallon thinks Botox for kids. It is a great idea today. You know, Botox has actually become pretty big with the Hollywood set.
And what is scary now, teens are now getting Botox, which I think is just absurd. But when we caught up with Jimmy, he told us, hey, it`s the way to go. Listen to this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JIMMY FALLON, HOST, "LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON": It`s fantastic, yes. Those kids with the frozen smiles - can you just imagine how great the world would be. A better place, yes. I`m so excited right now. Yes. What is the name of the charity again? I`m donating. Botox for kids?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Botox for kids.
FALLON: I`m so in. Yes. I`m actually running a marathon for Botox for kids next week.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: You think he was serious there? Now, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, nearly 12,000 teens had Botox last year. Amazing.
Well, I`m here to report we`ve got a real situation today, a $5 million situation. Got to tell you how the "Jersey Shore`s" Situation could make $5 million this year. Looks like all that fist pumping just paying off for him.
And just up the parkway, "Real Housewives of New Jersey" hysteria caught on tape.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (EXPLETIVE DELETED) you down.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you really sure you want to go there?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (EXPLETIVE DELETED), Teresa.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: What sent these ladies over the edge? Hey, can we call Tony Soprano to break this up?
You know, Paris Hilton might want to get Tony over to her house to protect her today. A frightening scare for Paris, a guy caught lurking outside her home. Paris even said he had a couple of knives with him. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

JUSTIN LONG, ACTOR: Dan -
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Hi, Garrett.
BARRYMORE: Hey, Dan.
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Hello in there.
LONG: What was our rule?
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Just because I can hear you through the wall doesn`t mean I get to participate.

HAMMER: Berlin`s "Take My Breath Away" - what a great make-out song. It was originally in "Top Gun." Well, that`s Drew Barrymore and Justin Long starring in their brand-new movie called "Going the Distance." But one of the biggest questions buzzing around Hollywood today - are Drew and Justin dating?
These two have been off and on and on and off. And they`re pretty zip-lipped when it comes to talking about their relationship. Their new movie, "Going the Distance," is all about a couple trying to make it work long distance.
Drew`s character`s on the West Coast. Justin`s is in New York. So, when we caught up with Drew and Justin together as they were out promoting the film, we had to ask, did their off-screen relationship get in the way of their on-screen work? And was this movie one of those art-imitates-life things?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BARRYMORE: This one I think is unique because it`s not a chick flick. Not that I hope other films are generally exclusively for women. But it`s balanced about men and women.
And it is R-rated so, you know, we get to do and say things that is are a little more true-to-life and a little less sort of pure and fairytale-ish. It`s much more realistic. It`s what we go through in life. I find him incredibly charming and humorous, so I didn`t have to fake that. So, that`s convenient.
LONG: It`s easy. It was all there. No work.
BARRYMORE: None whatsoever.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: All right. Well, they didn`t really say if they`re dating now. But if they are, I actually think they`re a pretty cool couple. Love Drew.
All right. Just checked our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall. There`s so much buzz today about Lady Gaga becoming the person with the most Twitter followers. You know, she`s beaten Britney Spears.
Here`s what Wendy L. says, three cheers or maybe that`s three tweets for Gaga, "She is amazing and has breathed much needed new life into the music biz. Yay, I`m a Gaga monster."
Now, Pattie S. is also a fan, but thinks Gaga is strictly adults only. She says, "I have Gaga`s music in my house, truck, car, outside radio. We love Gaga around our house but she`s not for younger people. I wouldn`t let my 12 or 14-year-old listen to her."

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.
We`ve got big news breaking today. Caught on tape, housewives` hysteria. You do not want to miss this. The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" - they`re taking the animosity for each over to another insane level today.
The ladies just wrapped up their second explosive season full of hair- pulling, a lot of name-calling, the smack-downs, but it doesn`t end there. Oh, no.
Today, we`re about to show you what happens on the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion show and nobody, not even the reunion show host, is safe.
With me in New York is Cooper Lawrence, who is a syndicated radio show host and author. And in Hollywood, Tanika Ray, she`s an entertainment journalist.
Well, housewife Danielle Staub has been - I don`t know - like a grain of sand that`s just rubbed all of the New Jersey housewives the wrong way. She pressed charges against the daughter of one housewife.
She ended the season in a war of words with another. The mind-blowing season may be over but the drama, oh no. Not a chance. Today, a first look surface of the upcoming "Housewives of New Jersey" reunion show next Monday. You`ve got to watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ANNOUNCER: Atlantic City plays host to a riveting two-part reunion.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (EXPLETIVE DELETED) I`m going to pin you down.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you really sure you want to go there.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You want to go? We`re going to go.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK. Why did you call her a (EXPLETIVE DELETED)?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Do you think you got me pregnant?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You really are insane.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Do not speak of my sister. Do not break up family!
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Shut your mouth.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you consider yourself a troublemaker?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I (EXPLETIVE DELETED) hate her.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (EXPLETIVE DELETED) you, Teresa.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: OK. All right. Is it over? Is it over? Let me - no, no. Hold on. Hold on, because it gets crazier. I`m going to show you more in just a moment. You will not want to move.
But Cooper, it really seems to me that this kind of violence just crosses the line from entertainment to sheer madness. I mean, seriously. I`m just banging my head against the desk when I watch that.
LAWRENCE: I don`t have to watch "Jerry Springer" ever again.
HAMMER: No?
LAWRENCE: No. Never. It is all about the housewives. But you know, I hate the fact it`s such a cliche idea about Jersey - "Jersey Shore, "Jersey-licious," "Jersey Housewives."
It is like the whole thing with Snooki when she got punched by some guy. It`s like - it makes them look so violent, all of them. And I don`t know anybody from New Jersey who`s like that.
HAMMER: Yes. Well, just the idea that this has what has become entertainment, but clearly, people are watching this.
LAWRENCE: You have to get to the next level of reality television. You can`t just sit there and have a conversation. You have to punch somebody.
HAMMER: Now, Tanika, of course, I need to get your take on this train wreck. It is downright disturbing. I want to know if you think it crosses the line. But first, please, let`s see some more of this madness, shall we?
TANIKA RAY, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: Please, please.
HAMMER: Roll that, Chris.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Did you her actually threaten to kill you? That is wishing her dead.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Can I throw in the towel?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m the puppeteer.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What the (EXPLETIVE DELETED) are you on?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Because (INAUDIBLE), too? Nothing. I never did drugs unlike you.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Married men?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Armed guards?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Teresa (INAUDIBLE) are you serious?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You have consistently made threats, bodily harm, to every single one of us. You are insane. You need to be medicated.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Everything is a complete lie.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You know what? I`m on a break. I`m done.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No, you`re not.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No, I`m done.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Where are you going?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No. I`m done.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: No, I`m done.
RAY: Love it.
HAMMER: Tanika, over to you. I mean, this is just nuts to me.
RAY: You know what? New Jersey`s just the city de jour. But I`m sure D.C., Atlanta and O.C. are embarrassed by their depiction as well.
When it comes down to it, they have fallen off the reality, irrelevant sort of BS cliff and just done with it. Danielle is a mess.
But you`ve got to understand it. She knows the equation to stardom. She is famous. People know her name. She is making money off this show. And when it comes down to it, we can`t fault her for playing the script the way it`s supposed to be played.
She is winning that sort of fame that she wanted. So yes, it`s ridiculous. It is disgusting. It`s what I`ve been hinting at for two years since I`ve been coming on this show. Enough already. But the more we watch it like the Kardashians getting 4.5 million people to watch, this show`s ridiculous.
LAWRENCE: This is where it has to get to them. That`s the problem.
HAMMER: Yes.
RAY: Exactly.
(CROSSTALK)
LAWRENCE: The fact it had to get to this place. I mean, what`s next? Murder?
RAY: You can`t stop the snowball.
HAMMER: You can`t stop the snowball.
RAY: Somebody is going to have to die before these shows are done and over with.
HAMMER: We`ve said that before. Thankfully, that hasn`t happened yet. But we also can`t stop the publicity it generates. And look, we are doing it right now.
LAWRENCE:
HAMMER: And I`ll do it further when I point out that we can judge for ourselves when we watch "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion show because it is on Bravo next Monday. Let`s move on. All right.
RAY: Next.
HAMMER: Tiger Woods` divorce outrage is growing today. You`ve got women everywhere. They`re up in arms, I tell you, over Elin`s reported $100 million payout. You have to say it like that.
Now, they`re outraged because - I mean, think about what she suffered through - nearly a dozen reported mistresses, extraordinary public shame. I am thinking given Tiger`s reported $600 million net worth, Elin got a raw deal here. So here`s our "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" -
RAY: Come on.
HAMMER: Does Elin deserve more than $100 million? Now, Cooper, I`m not sneezing at that amount of money but, really -
LAWRENCE: You make twice that. That`s nothing for you.
HAMMER: But really, put it in context. I mean, you`ve got to think about - maybe she should get $200 million.
LAWRENCE: It says $5 million per woman, right, that we know of. So if I were here, bring in more women. Do you like her? Is she hot? I mean, it seems to correlate with how many women he has been with.
But the thing is, just yesterday, all the experts were saying that Tiger Woods - he is quote, unquote, "kaput" is what they said.
HAMMER: Right.
LAWRENCE: So if that is the case, get while the getting is good. Get as much money as you can now. And remember, their pre-nup said $10 million - $10 million to $20 million. So this is actually much better than she would have done.
HAMMER: Maybe it was $10 million to $20 million per mistress. I`m just saying.
RAY: Wait a minute, A.J.
HAMMER: Yes, Tanika?
RAY: A.J., the rumors across the board was that she was going to get $750 million.
HAMMER: Yes. Well, that`s true.
RAY: Men across the universe that worship Tiger are like, "Yes." They`re rejoicing right now.
HAMMER: Tanika, let me put this to you, because Tiger is officially single. And today -
RAY: Yes.
HAMMER: One of his mistresses - you remember Rachel Uchitel?
RAY: Yes.
HAMMER: Yes. Rachel reportedly says that she would give up everything to get him back. So what do you think, Tanika? Is it time for Tiger to have a public life again? Get out there and date, maybe even go public with somebody like Rachel?
RAY: Well, I don`t know about Rachel. Here`s the thing. You have to understand with her settlement, she can`t say anything. She is bound to secrecy.
But really interesting here at HLN and the CNN makeup room - I ran into a very good source who is really good friends with her - you might know him. He`s in the news right now - who swears that she absolutely did not say that about Tiger. She is not interested in being with Tiger.
HAMMER: OK.
RAY: It is all falsehoods, lies and fairytales.
HAMMER: Hold on. As you said -
LAWRENCE: He needs to work.
HAMMER: This is one of the reports that is floating around. But right now, I do want to move on to more stories making big buzz today.

Michaels had just gotten his driver`s license back after a previous conviction for driving under the influence. A judge is expected to sentence him next month.
Hurley`s breast confession ever? Elizabeth Hurley felt the need to tell the world via Twitter her breasts are god-given. Hurley just tweeted, "I read that I`ve just had breast implants. Happy to report still au naturel. But I do wear exceptionally well-cut bikinis."
Speculation about Hurley`s curves recently started after vacation photos showed the 45-year-old looking great in a bikini.
Is Kara in or out? Kara DioGuardi has just revealed she still has no idea whether she will remain a judge on "American Idol."
"E! Online" is reporting Kara wanted to get out of her contract months ago, but Fox has been keeping her waiting while they sort out their "Idol" mess now that Ellen DeGeneres and Simon Cowell have left the show.
So DioGuardi, who still has still a contract to do the show, remains in "Idol" limbo.

I`m putting my money on the fact she will not be back for the next season.

TEXT: Manslaughter preliminary hearing for Michael Jackson Dr. Conrad Murray, will be on 1/4/11. "Modern Family`s" "Cam" and "Mitchell" will kiss in future episode.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Hey, Cam, does the gardener usually work on Saturdays?
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: I don`t know. He comes when we need him. He`s like Batman, but straight. Is he crying?
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Oh, yes. We should probably - probably go out the back, huh?
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: He`s clearly in pain. How can you just turn your back on a friend like that?
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: A friend? Really? Yes. What`s his name?
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Caesar Salazar.
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: You made that up. You were going to say Caesar Salad.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I was hoping to meet up with Alex, the same girl that I brought home a couple of weeks ago. We did hook up. But unfortunately, the girlfriend she was with brought The Situation.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: OK. It`s The Situation Corporation. Big news today about "Jersey Shore" star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino possibly making $5 million and his new possible new big bucks deal for vodka.
Yes. I guess you can call him the Italian stallion of sponsorships. Who would have thought, this guy?
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
And The Situation Corporation is getting bigger today. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you he`s expected to make as much as $5 million by the end of the year. Is The Situation on his way to being the next Donald Trump? Hair`s a little different.
Joining me in New York - in Hollywood, it`s Janell Snowden. Janell is a host with VH1 News. With me in New York, Brian Balthazar. Brian is a journalist, comic editor for "PopGoesTheWeek.com" and so many more things.
HAMMER: So what is this guy`s money-making secret? Are we talking the abs, dazzling personality? Maybe his stunning eloquence? Maybe it is the gelled hair? Brian, what is the key to The Situation`s success? I must know. You must tell me.
BRIAN BALTHAZAR, JOURNALIST AND COMIC EDITOR, "POPGOESTHEWEEK.COM": It does show you what a good set of abs will get you. I think he may be the lesser of five evils in a climate where, you know, it`s got a great demographic, that show.
And he`s got great people working for him. Would you want to share a hot tub with him? Not without some sort of an inoculation.
HAMMER: Yes.
BALTHAZAR: He`s appealed - the premiere episode this season got 5.1 million viewers and that`s speaks to advertisers.
HAMMER: Unbelievable. And what`s amazing today, we`ve got this big news about this vodka deal that The Situation may have. I want the break down all of his paydays. I`ve worked it out for you here.
He`s making about $60,000 an episode for "Jersey Shore." You want to book The Situation for your next Bar Mitzvah, that`s going to cost you up to $50,000 and I don`t believe that includes cutting of the hala (ph).
Let`s not forget his slew of endorsement deals from chewable vitamins for GNC to a clothing line, Reebok and Vitamin Water had him tapped. And now, today, this vodka - and I love this - it`s a vodka infused with a special kind of fat-burning protein.
Janell, fat-burning protein in vodka, The Situation`s endorsing it. I`ve got to say God bless America. Good for him, right?
JANELL SNOWDEN, HOST, "VH1 NEWS": Oh, my god. That`s such an oxymoron, first of all. You`ve got a fat burner and you`ve got alcohol? I don`t get it. I don`t get anything -
HAMMER: Hey, they have low-fat Spam, too, you know.
SNOWDEN: Yes. I`m over it all. I don`t get any of it. I mean, can we just talk about the ridiculousness of this? First of all, The Situation went from making minimum wage, I would assume, working at a t-shirt shop on the Jersey shore to now making potentially $5 million a year. It`s enough to make you want to jump out the window. Yes, I`m hating. I`m hating.
HAMMER: That may be true, but Brian - Brian, think about it, in the last two minutes alone, think about how many brand names I just mentioned here on national TV.
BALTHAZAR: Right. Yes.
HAMMER: So already, with The Situation, these guys are getting their money`s worth.
BALTHAZAR: Buzz is buzz. And he is now the American dream. This is what everyone dreams of.
HAMMER: Yes.
BALTHAZAR: Whether you call it sad or amazingly lucrative, it is happening and we`re talking about it to your point. So now, we know what Devotion Vodka is.
HAMMER: The American dream. You`re a sick man. All right. I want to move on now to another story that is just in today. It is explosive.
Miley Cyrus goes bad in a movie. She`s shooting a brand-new movie. It`s a comedy called "LOL," laughing out loud. We learned today, she`s reportedly playing a pot-smoking, boozing and dirty-talking teenager who seduces her female friends.
Now, Janell, I know that Miley Cyrus wants to break out of the goody- two-shoes Hannah Montana Disney persona. But are you with me that maybe with a role like this, she is trying a little too hard?
SNOWDEN: Absolutely. I mean, this kind of thing is becoming so cliche. We saw it recently with Dakota Fanning in "The Runaway," only, you know, Dakota has kind of taken an different route than Miley and Dakota is much a more serious actor, let`s just say.
Miley, you know from "Hannah Montana." I just recently interviewed her. And I`ve got to tell you she is such a boss, that little girl. I mean, I`m sorry to call her that. She`ll probably hate this interview because she is a woman now.
HAMMER: That is your last interview with her, Janell.
SNOWDEN: Yes. She`s a woman. But I just think, you know, enough. Let`s just - can we slow walk for a bit? Can you just ease us into - we all know that you`re 17 now. You know, you`re coming into your own.
HAMMER: Yes.
SNOWDEN: But I don`t know that I need to necessarily see her on a girl-on- girl scene as I`m hearing there is going to be in this movie.
HAMMER: Well, Miley even admits to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, you know, heck, she`s not even sure that the whole big image change to naughty girl is even the right move. Watch what she told us.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MILEY CYRUS, SINGER AND ACTRESS: There`s no way to say, like, I know 100 percent this is going to be the right step for me. I don`t know.
It`s just you want to make sure you are doing the things that are right for you right then. And you know, you may look back a year from now and say why did I do that? But it was for you then. So you`ve just got to do what`s right for you at that moment.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. You know, Brian, I feel like we need to make some kind of big pronouncement - OK, Miley. You`re bad. You`re grown up. We get it. We`re on board.
BALTHAZAR: Right. Yes. She seems to be all about the shock value. You want to shock me, Miley? Take a role as a young Amish girl in the musical version of "The Witness." This is what would shock me, taking an innocent role, taking a thoughtful.
This could become her "Showgirls," you know, like - I feel like she`s done some of these things before in a performance or in videos. She`s writhed down the floor. She`s been on the stripper pole.
HAMMER: Yes.
BALTHAZAR: She`s done, you know, semi nudes. Things like that. It is too much.
HAMMER: All right. Watch me, Miley Cyrus. We get it. We accept the fact you`re a grown-up young women. Janell Snowden, Brian Balthazar, I thank you both.
All right. So as we move on, we told you about this Lady Gaga/Britney Spears Twitter war. Well, there`s actually a twist in the battle. Gaga is kicking Brit-Brit`s butt. The race is on for the title of queen of Twitter.
And the Lady took the lead yesterday. Today, even more of her little monsters gave her a boost. Gaga now approaching the six million mark really fast. Gaga has increased the lead over Britney Spears by more than 20,000 Twitter followers today.
But Britney, don`t count her out. She is still in the game. Yes, she is. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is going to be watching this epic battle so keep it right here for the very latest on the great Britney-Lady Gaga Twitter war of 2010.
Well, I must move on now to the big Paris Hilton home invasion story. This is wild. It`s making big news today. A scary intruder allegedly makes a bold attempt to break into Paris` pad.
It is time now for And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Florida judge decides Wesley Snipes doe not have to start 36-month prison sentence for tax-related crimes until "further order of the court." Jay-Z and U2 to team up for Australian tour.

HAMMER: It`s time now for the SHOWBIZ buzz list. Here is what the SHOWBIZ staff is butting about this week. We`re buzzing about Jimmy Fallon and the primetime Emmy Award. We cannot wait to see Jimmy hosting this show.
We`re also loving "My Formerly Hot Life." It`s a book that is a real page turner. Going once, going twice, gone! The "Lost" memorabilia auction. It just ended. Some great stuff. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT senior writer Rob Melstein wanted to buy everything on this thing.
Patti LaBelle is joining the cast of the Broadway hit, "Fela!" And we are buzzing and jamming to Kanye West`s new music video for his hit song, "Power."
(MUSIC PLAYING)
HAMMER: This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Making news today, Paris Hilton`s frightening run-in with an alleged armed intruder. Take a look at all the cops outside Paris` house.
Paris posted this picture on her Twitter page after she called cops to her Sherman Oaks, California home to check out what she says was an unwelcome guest.
Well, not only did Paris call the cops. She sent out this urgent message to her followers on Twitter, "So scary. Just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding two big knifes (sic). Cops are here arresting him."
Well, L.A. Police do confirm the arrest. They have not confirmed the suspect had two big army knives. And no injuries were reported, but wow, how scary.
Well, the countdown to the Primetime Emmy Awards is on. Stars are primping and plucking. Some of them probably doing a little nip-tucking, all in preparation for one of Hollywood`s biggest nights, the Primetime Emmy Award.
Now, personally, I`m looking forward to Jimmy Fallon who is hosting this year`s Emmy`s. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT caught up with Jimmy at the "Going the Distance" movie premiere. Jimmy revealed his secret strategy to getting Emmy ready, and even more Emmy surprises.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
FALLON: A hundred push-ups and I meet up with The Situation and we had a crunch off. And then we hang out with Snooki until the wee hours.
We`re trying something new at the Emmys. If your speech goes on too long, a trap door opens and you fall through the stage. That should be exciting.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: That would be exciting. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT will be the only entertainment news show live at 11:00 a.m. this Monday with all of the Emmy winners and losers and of course, controversies. On Monday, we asked to you vote in our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll. I just received the final results. The question - "Jennifer Aniston`s Movie Bombs: Are you still a big fan?" And most of you are. Sixty-two percent of you said yes; 38 percent of you said no.
Let me get to a couple of E-mails we received. This one from Terri in Missouri who has nothing but love for Jen, "I saw `The Switch.` It is very funny and I loved it. Please don`t bury this movie and Jennifer Aniston`s career based on box office results."
No surprise the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines have been ringing nonstop today. Jodie in California does think that Jen needs an extreme career makeover.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
CALLER: I think Jennifer Aniston has got to stop playing Rachel in every movie. She needs to widen her horizons and take a lesson from Sally Field who went from Gidget to playing Sybil and Norma Rae. She`s got to show a little talent there and not keep playing everybody`s friend.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
HAMMER: Thanks for the call, Jodie. You can call us at "Showbiz on Call" and let us know what you think about Jen Aniston or anything else at all. The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are open all the time. The number - 1- 888-SBT-BUZZ; that`s 1-888-728-2899.
You can call the number and leave us a voicemail so we can play your call here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
And that`s it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is now live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday. We are still TV`s most provocative news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific right here on HLN.
