Is Lindsay Lohan being set up to fail? Random drug tests, psychotherapy, chemical dependency programs. But wait, there`s more. Lindsay`s incredible, brand-new million-dollar offer today.

Secrets from "Dancing with the Stars" revealed today. Is Bristol Palin doing the show?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer, coming to you from New York City.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - the Wronged Wives Club.

HAMMER: Yes, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is here to reveal the remarkable connection we discovered today between two of the most wronged wives of recent time - Sandra Bullock and Tiger Woods` ex Elin Nordegren. Elin`s first-ever tell- all about being so wronged by Tiger`s cheating made big headlines around the world.

And there is also incredible buzz today about the big news breaking that Sandra Bullock is about to do her first TV interview since her ex, Jesse James, also turned out to be a Tiger-like cheater.

And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that both Sandra and Elin are being applauded today for the way they are handling being so terribly wronged.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): They had their picture-perfect marriages destroyed by their famous husbands` repeated infidelities, with every tawdry detail and claim, splashed on the headlines.

But today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, it`s the wronged wives` turn to speak out.

CARLOS DIAZ, SYNDICATED RADIO HOST: Elin Nordegren breaks her silence.

HAMMER: Today, the world is talking about Tiger Woods` ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. Her first-ever interview about her life falling apart after Tiger`s serial cheating appears in the new issue of "People" magazine.

And the very day Elin shocked the world by finally speaking out, we got another bombshell.

ANNOUNCER: Tuesday, only on today - Sandra Bullock.

HAMMER: NBC`s "Today" show announced Sandra Bullock will appear on the program next Tuesday for her first TV interview since her divorce from her cheating hubby, Jesse James.

ANNOUNCER: The interview -

HAMMER: It`s the Wronged Wives Club, Elin and Sandra, two strong women, connected by betrayal and heartache, who are finally having their say.

KATIE CAPERTON, ENTERTAINMENT EDITOR, CNN.COM: I think Sandra and Elin were both very smart about the way they handled this. They`re still talking about the situation, but doing it in a really relatable way.

HAMMER: In the new issue of "People," Elin Nordegren reveals the stress and pain from her split from Tiger was so extreme at one point she started losing her hair. Elin tells "People" quote, "I`ve been through hell. It`s hard to think you have this life and then all of a sudden, was it a lie? You`re struggling because, it wasn`t real."

And in her "Today" show interview next week, we`ll likely hear Sandra address her own personal heartbreak. But that won`t be all she talks about.

CAPERTON: She`s talking about post-Katrina in New Orleans, taking the attention away from all the gritty details of their exes, of all the affairs and allegations, and all the tabloid details. They`re pulling attention off of that and putting attention back on themselves in a really smart way.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you these unwilling members of the Wronged Wives Club have more in common than their pain. Both waited to speak out until their cheating husbands went public.

TIGER WOODS, PROFESSIONAL GOLFER: My behavior has been a personal disappointment.

JESSE JAMES, EX-HUSBAND OF SANDRA BULLOCK: I was unfaithful to my wife.

HAMMER: And another thing these wronged wives have in common - both have had to sit silently by while a seemingly endless parade of strippers -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I kind of caught up in Jesse James. He`s so cute. He`s so nice.

HAMMER: Publicity hounds -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I was in love with Tiger, and I believe that he loves me, too.

HAMMER: And other anonymous women tried to grab their share of the spotlight by spilling the dirty details of Tiger and Jesse`s extramarital affairs. So why are Elin and Sandra waiting until now to speak out?

CAPERTON: Frankly, classy. They waited until we forgot all the details. We forgot about every picture of every mistress that we saw flash in the paper and just gave it some distance, gave it some time. And now, we`re just concentrating on the women.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can also reveal today that these members of the Wronged Wives Club share another common trait. Despite their now ex- husbands` sleazy behavior, both Elin and Sandra have taken the high road and pointedly refused to bash their exes.

About her ex, Elin tells the new "People" quote, "I wish him all the best in the future as a person and as an athlete."

All of Sandra Bullock`s recent statements about Jesse James have been nothing but supportive. And in another wronged wives connection, both Elin and Sandra confirm their exes will be living near them so that the families can be close together.

CAPERTON: They talk about details other women can relate to, saying, "I had no idea about these women. I had no idea about the affairs. I`ve been through hell. This has been really hard for me but I just care about my children."

It`s details like that that they`ve been bringing up in interviews that make them very relatable to women and really underscore the point that it`s very, very smart to take the high road.

HAMMER: And taking the high road through their pain and perseverance is something else these members of the Wronged Wives Club have in common.

CAPERTON: Obviously, it`s an inspiration to women who are in the same situation.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: I think both Sandra and Elin are incredibly inspiring. And they basically have written the playbook for wronged wives everywhere. So as they move forward with their new lives, we`re asking in today`s "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint," is there anything Sandra and Elin should do differently?

Right now, in New York, Sunny Hostin, who is a legal contributor for "In Session" on Tru TV. And right now, in Atlanta, Carlos Diaz, who is a syndicated radio host and guest host of "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL" which airs every night at 7:00 p.m. right here on HLN.

OK. Sunny, Carlos, for me, both women could not have handled their respective marriage crises any better than they did. But Sunny, to the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint," I want to know what you think. Is there anything Sandra and Elin should do differently?

SUNNY HOSTIN, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION": I don`t think so. I think they have written the playbook. The only thing that I`m sort of wondering about is people are saying that, you know, Elin should forgive Tiger.

I think that`s nonsense. I think it`s a bunch of psychobabble. What he did was unforgivable. Why should she forgive him? So that he can move on? She needs to move on, keep her position, become a wonderful co-parent, but forget about him and forget about forgiving him.

ANDERSON: All right. I think it`s healthy to forgive. But we`ll talk about that a little later on in the show, Sunny. You and I will probably debate that one.

Carlos, to the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" here, is there anything you think that Sandra and Elin should do or should have done differently?

DIAZ: Yes. They should have never married these scumbags.

ANDERSON: Oh. Good point.

DIAZ: No. You know, I mean - listen, they are both coming out of this smelling like roses and they`re both handling it in their own way. They`re both being extremely classy. I think Elin not forgiving Tiger is very healthy because she`s going through the steps right now, you know, of dealing with this drama. And she hasn`t gotten to that step yet of forgiveness.

I think Sandra, though, has a very tough road ahead, because unlike Elin - and Elin can take, you know, the settlements and kind of be with her kids and be away. Sandra, at some point, you know, she might have to get back to work because she`s the bread winner, you know, so that`s the difference here.

Sandra kind of - even though she`s got a lot of money tucked away, you know, she kind of needs - does not need to but has to be more in the public eye.

ANDERSON: She still has to keep those trains moving.

HAMMER: Yes. Exactly, yes.

ANDERSON: And speaking of Sandra Bullock, as we said in the piece, we are going to see her in her first post-divorce TV interview next week on the "Today" show. I can`t wait for this. I want to hear about her adopted baby, Louis, her new life.

And I also want to hear about whether she would ever consider a reconciliation with Jesse James. I hope not. But I want to know her answer. A.J., if you were conducting that interview, what would you ask her?

HAMMER: Well, I think - I think I would want to know - I think a lot of people want to know, what is she doing right now to take care of herself and to make sure she doesn`t become, if she hasn`t already, understandably, a person who will never trust another man again.

You know, what is she doing for that? Because I think that is something a lot of other women, men, can take cues from in hearing how she is getting through it.

And I want to hear about her future. Because quite frankly she`s made it clear she wants to move on. I think we need to let her move on, so I want to hear what her plans are as she does move forward.

Somebody else who is trying to move forward - Fantasia. Let`s move on to big Fantasia news breaking today. Now, she just appeared on "Lopez Tonight" on TBS. And when she talked about the criticism that she endured, which was part of what led to her trying to commit suicide, George Lopez gave her what I thought was some no-nonsense advice. Let`s roll that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

FANTASIA BARRINO, "AMERICAN IDOL" WINNER: I don`t like how she talks. She takes off her shoes when she performs. There was always something about Fantasia. So at the time I really wasn`t thinking about all of that.

LOPEZ: Girl, you need to get off Twitter. Don`t listen to that (EXPLETIVE DELETED). Listen, you are a talented, talented woman and you are a mother to a beautiful daughter, and that`s what should come first.

BARRINO: Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: No doubt about that. Really nice, by the way, to see Fantasia smiling and laughing again. And she says she knows it is time to focus on herself now. Sunny, I think George Lopez is giving her some great advice there. What do you think?

HOSTIN: Oh, it was incredible. He hit the nail on the head. She has a nine-year-old daughter. And just the thought that she was driven by what other people say to almost take her own life and remove herself out of her daughter`s life is so sad. And it really is just despicable that people took her there.

And I hope that she works on herself because I was an idolizer. I love watching "American Idol." And certainly, I was rooting for her and I`m rooting for her now.

HAMMER: I love her singing. I love her voice. I love it all.

HOSTIN: I want her to take her shoes off - all of that.

HAMMER: Let me get to more breaking Fantasia news today. She`s responding to critics who say her suicide was a publicity stunt tied to the release of her new album which just came out this week.

Here`s what she tells the Associated Press about that, "I didn`t need any more press or publicity. If that was the case there could have been other things that were done for some publicity. I feel like it is all nonsense." Carlos, I think it`s nonsense. What about you?

DIAZ: I think it`s nonsense that she would do that to promote her album. But the issue that I have with this, and I`ve had it all week is that, you know, we`re talking about her daughter. She is a mom and she has responsibilities. I just hope that she`s got her responsibilities in order.

HAMMER: Yes.

DIAZ: She just tried to commit suicide. And I`m hoping that she`s not tying her emotions to the success of this album or the success of this new tour that she`s doing. I hope she`s tying her emotions to her daughter and to the love of the people around her.

HAMMER: Couldn`t agree with you more. Carlos Diaz, Sunny Hostin, thanks, guys.

ANDERSON: Making news today - big "Dancing with the Stars" secrets revealed. Who is going to be on next season? Is Bristol Palin really doing the show? And could we have a situation on the dance floor?

A big-time development today in the Mel Gibson domestic violence investigation. Is Mel about to be arrested?

LIAM HEMSWORTH, ACTOR: He does. He just happens to own 300 more.

CYRUS: No, no, no, I`m not going in there. Not looking like this. What if somebody sees me?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ, ACTRESS: I`m rooting for her, man, and I hope that - that she rises above like a phoenix out of the ashes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: That`s Michelle Rodriguez, Lindsay Lohan`s co-star in a brand-new movie "Machete." And of course, we were right there for the "Machete" premiere in L.A.

I can tell you, not a huge surprise, all of Lindsay`s co-stars are on team Lindsay. They think she`s talented and they want to see her do well after getting out of rehab. I think we all feel that way.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. That`s Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: A.J., get this - in "machete" Lindsay plays a drug addict who becomes a homicidal nun. I`ve got to say a pretty interesting film choice considering all that Lindsay`s been through. So why would Lindsay take such a controversial role? And could this movie help turn Lindsay`s life around? A SHOWBIZ special report today, Lindsay`s "Machete."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

LINDSAY LOHAN, ACTRESS: I never even think of Hollywood.

ANDERSON (voice-over): It was movies like "Parent Trap" that made Lindsay Lohan so big in Hollywood. As well as films like "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls."

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: You look really pretty.

L. LOHAN: Thank you.

ANDERSON: Once upon a time, Lindsay Lohan`s movie roles seemed to reflect her real life. America`s favorite freckled star turned teenage beauty. But these days -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Lindsay. Lindsay -

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you this is a very different Lindsay. Mug shots. Jail time. Four stints in rehab. And once again art appears to be imitating life in her next movie "Machete."

ROBERT RODRIGUEZ, DIRECTOR, "MACHETE": I sold her on the whole concept and she just fell in love and thought it was really hilarious. Perfect timing -

ANDERSON: Lohan will next be seen in director Robert Rodriguez` ultra- violent, ultra-provocative thriller, "Machete," playing a drugged out nymphomaniac who becomes a homicidal nun. Rodriguez tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT why Lindsay did it.

R. RODRIGUEZ: We shot this, you know, a year ago. But even back then, people were always hounding her. She just thought it would be really fun way to deal with it.

ANDERSON: Leslie Bruce covers Lindsay for "The Hollywood Reporter."

LESLIE BRUCE, "THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER": I think what Robert Rodriguez meant was he thought this was a fun way to deal with things. I think that Lindsay, at the time, whether she was right or wrong, felt that she needed to react to the media storm out there about her life, about her partying, about her career, and that this way she could poke fun at herself. Like, "Look, ha, I can have a joke." But ultimately, what became sad about that is the fact that it was true.

DR. ALYSSA ENGLISH (ph), PSYCHIATRIST: The nun to me is symbolic of spirituality. In some sense she was finding peace. The machine gun can look as though she`s firing back. It also can represent the fact that she`s saying, "This is where I was and look at where I`m going. I was actually killing myself through this addiction. And look at me now standing upright in a very spiritual and peaceful way."

ANDERSON: Dr. Alyssa English(ph) who treats young women dealing with various psychological and social problems, including addiction, tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Lindsay choosing to play a drug addict who becomes a nun could actually have a positive impact on her recovery and help others.

ENGLISH: Young people who are her fans would say, "If she can`t do it, why should I?" But I think actually playing a role in the movie says, "You can. Even when I`m struggling, you can."

ANDERSON: Lindsay may have been struggling, but her "Machete" co-star, Michelle Rodriguez -

M. RODRIGUEZ: Don`t start what you can`t finish.

ANDERSON: -- tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT give Lindsay a break. She`s on the way to recovery.

M. RODRIGUEZ: Seriously. There`s this massive evolutionary, you know, movement that occurs from the birth to death.

And I think that people should be a little bit more respectful about that process and the learning process and the learning curve of it. You know, never to be quick to judge, you know, how a person grows or what they choose to do in their lives. And I`m very adamant about keeping my nose out of her business because of that.

ANDERSON: So what would be the best Lindsay Lohan sequel ever?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You don`t need any more tragic stories in Hollywood. I think that Lindsay - you know, her recovery would be her best story yet.

ANDERSON: A story everyone would like to see.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

And "Machete" hits theaters September 3rd, big Labor Day weekend. Some other big names in the film, Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, even Don Johnson.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - should Elin forgive Tiger? In a brand-new interview with "People" magazine, Tiger`s ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, says she hasn`t yet forgiven Tiger for repeatedly cheating on her, but she`s working on it.

But now, with their divorce just finalized this week, one big question remains and it`s our "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Flashpoint," should Elin forgive Tiger?

Joining me right now in New York is Sunny Hostin who is a legal contributor for "In Session" on our sister network, Tru TV. And right now, in Hollywood, Rachel Zalis who is a contributing editor for "Life and Style Weekly."

Ladies, I think, of course, Elin should forgive Tiger because it`s the healthy thing to do. But let`s face it, it`s going to take awhile for Elin to get there considering the dog that Tiger is and considering everything he did. Sunny, I think I know how you feel about this. Do you think she should?

HOSTIN: Brooke, I don`t think she should. I don`t think she needs to. What he did was unforgivable. You know, I`ve really got to tell you, I think it`s the psychobabble that we all hear about and read about and you should forgive someone. It`s going to make you feel better. It`s not going to make her feel any better. It may make him feel better.

ANDERSON: I don`t think anger and resentment - if she hangs on to anger and resentment, it`s only going to hurt her, not Tiger.

HOSTIN: She doesn`t have to be angry, though.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: (INAUDIBLE) psychology.

HOSTIN: She doesn`t have to be angry. She doesn`t have to be resentful. But she doesn`t have to forgive, either. That`s just my thought.

ANDERSON: Rachel, what do you think? Should Elin forgive Tiger?

RACHEL ZALIS, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, "LIFE AND STYLE WEEKLY": I think if she was a single woman and there were no kids involved I would say, "Heck no!" I mean what he did was unforgivable, that betrayal, humiliation.

But they have two kids, and I think when it comes to that, publicly, at least, she should be able to say, "I forgive him. I`m moving on."

ANDERSON: But not personally?

ZALIS: Secretly, I would say not.

ANDERSON: OK. In this article, she said she has to come to forgiveness to be happy in the future, so she`s working on it. What if we all held grudges against everybody who`s wronged us in our lives? We would be some miserable people.

ZALIS: I know. And I can also think about 100 million other reasons she should probably forgive him. I mean, Elin is definitely going to be living a very good life after this. It doesn`t excuse what happened, but -

ANDERSON: No, it doesn`t. She says money cannot buy happiness, though, and it won`t put her family back together.

And here`s what she says in that article exactly, "Forgiveness takes time. It is the last step of the grieving process. I`m going to be completely honest and tell you that I am working on it."

A.J., considering how greatly Tiger betrayed Elin, do you think she can get there? I do.

HAMMER: I don`t know. At least not from the standpoint of "Oh, I forgive you. It`s all OK that you did what you did."

ANDERSON: Right.

HAMMER: I don`t think that`s going to happen. I also do believe in forgiveness ultimately. But, wow, I think it is going to be a long time coming before she`s really genuinely feels it.

Let`s move on right now. There`s another big story making big news today - Lindsay Lohan`s new life and it is busy. A judge has just slapped Lindsay with this brand-new and really strict probation. And this got me wondering today - how in the heck is Lindsay going to find the time to do it all?

Well, let`s take a look at what she`s got to do up until November, and we`re referring now to our handy dandy Lindsay Lohan day planner.

A judge ordered her to go to psychotherapy four times a week. We`re going to jot that in the planner for, say, Monday through Thursday. The judge is also mandating that Lindsay go to a 12-step program five days a week. We`re going to put that down as Monday through Friday.

Look at this. Her days are already filling up. She`s also got to about to behavioral therapy twice a week. We`ll say, for her sake, Monday and Tuesday will be those days. Plus, the judge is making Lindsay contact her chemical dependency program every day of the week, and have at least two visits in person.

And to top it all off, she`s got to have at least two random drug tests and alcohol tests every week. As you see, we put those down on Saturday and Sunday. I`m just exhausted. Her calendar was exploding kind of like my head is about to do.

Now, the judge did give a warning to Lindsay saying, "You slip up on this, you could wind up back in jail. That brings us to our "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" today - is Lindsay being set up for failure?

And Sunny, certainly, I don`t think that was the judge`s intention. But I really think that this program and her previous inability to manage things shows that maybe she is being set up.

HOSTIN: Oh, I mean, it`s going to be so difficult. Look at that day planner. I mean, I don`t know that I could do something like that. And I`m a pretty scheduled, intense person, as you know.

HAMMER: Yes.

HOSTIN: I think it`s going to be extremely difficult. But, again, maybe it`s the lawyer in me but I don`t even think if she skips something that she`s really going to go to prison for 30 days. So you know -

HAMMER: There`s some truth to that as well. And I tell you what, Sunny, you know, maybe you could lend Lindsay your iPad, fill in the dates for her and all that.

Rachel, to you for our "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint," do you think Lindsay is being set up for failure here?

ZALIS: Listen, I think they can work all they want on the alcohol and the drug issues. But it`s her paparazzi addiction that really needs to be handled.

And she needs to move out of L.A., either go back to college, disappear, go back to some fame school, and really just get her life back together outside of this environment. And I think that`s what`s really going to help her.

HAMMER: Well, certainly, that is. But, wow, to have to manage a schedule like that. Here`s my hope, that she will actually go out and hire somebody or one of her family members will hire somebody, who will grab Lindsay by the hand, and drag her whether she`s kicking and screaming or not, off to every appointment that she has to make and let her fulfill.

And if she can fulfill this schedule, wow, will I be optimistic about her future. So as if her schedule isn`t booked enough as we showed you, there`s a New York radio station that said today it`s going to offer Lindsay, and her mom Dina - are you ready for this - $1 million to host a morning radio show.

Tell you, obviously, this is a publicity stunt. I mean, come on. But I actually think this sparked an idea in my head that this is exactly what Lindsay needs, a stable job once her schedule is clear, something where she can show up every day, make some decent money, and just try to have somewhat of a normal life.

HOSTIN: I would agree with you. Full-time employment would certainly help someone, especially an addict. I don`t like the linkage to her mother. I think her parents have done her a disservice so many times.

And to have her really in any sort of position dependent on her mother or her father is a problem for her.

HAMMER: I am a champion of her acting work. And Rachel, tell me what you think about this. I do want to see her get back on-screen, and really move forward with that, with success.

And yes, like you said, without all the paparazzi around. But what about that idea, her taking something like a daily radio show, something stable where she can still make money?

ZALIS: I think it`s crazy. Who goes into the movie business hoping to get a radio deal? And the funniest part about that radio option is her and her mother would be giving advice to people, like, what is she going to go and tell everyone, don`t drink and drive? I mean it`s just such an absurd idea.

HAMMER: Let me just have a disclaimer right before each show saying don`t do anything what they tell you to do.

HOSTIN: Anything at all.

HAMMER: Do the opposite. Look, I think it would have been - going back to the schedule she`s now going to be on. It obviously would have been simpler if they just left Lindsay in rehab. That way, all of those things could have happened under one roof.

And you know what, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT viewers seem to agree. Let`s put up our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll where we asked, "Lindsay Lohan Out of Rehab: Was she released too early?" Ninety-four percent said yes; a mere six percent no.

Sunny, are you with me that really, even if just for the sake of doing what the judge feels she needs to do, she should have stayed put?

HOSTIN: Absolutely. I mean, obviously she needs to have this treatment because he ordered it. He just ordered it out of rehab. It`s going to be very, very difficult.

Although the doctors did say - and they`re doctors, I`m not - that 90 days in rehab was too much for her. So I`m not going to really challenge that. But again, very, very difficult. And what she should have had was 90 days in prison.

HAMMER: Yes. And there was no chance that that was ever going to happen, counselor. All right. Thanks so much, Sunny Hostin, Rachel Zalis. I appreciate it.

ANDERSON: OK. Am I looking at this information correctly? Is Bristol Palin about to bust a move? Making news today, is Bristol going on "Dancing with the Stars"? Today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT sets the record straight about the big name stars Bristol could boogie against if she goes on the show.

And Mel Gibson, domestic abuse drama. Prosecutors poring over key evidence today. Is there enough evidence to arrest Mel? Should he be worried?

And we are keeping up with those crazy Kardashians today. Everybody is buzzing today about their brand-new sexy video. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: Time now to roll out the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Man charged with breaking into Paris Hilton`s home could get six years in jail. "Saturday Night Live" star Will Forte leaving the show.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WILL FORTE, COMEDIAN: I can do this. We`re making decisions!

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Making news today, prosecutors are now poring over evidence from Mel Gibson`s domestic abuse case. Authorities are trying to determine if there`s enough evidence to charge Gibson. Mel`s domestic violence drama stems from an alleged attack on his ex-girlfriend and mother of his love child, Oksana Grigorieva.

Grigorieva claims Mel struck her while she was holding the couple`s baby. A decision by the Los Angeles prosecutors over whether to charge Mel could take several months.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with A.J. Hammer in New York.

HAMMER: And Brooke, there is big news today. Jersey versus the "Jersey Shore" - what a brand-new poll revealed today about how New Jersey residents really feel about Snooki and all that fist pumping. Chris Brown strikes back.

Chris setting the record straight today about his emotional breakdown during BET`s Michael Jackson tribute. And oh, boy, the Travoltas amazing announcement revealed today.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): It`s a boy - just not yet. John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston have just confirmed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they`ll be having a baby boy. They first revealed they were having a baby back in May. "People" magazine reports that Travolta and Preston told friends and family the sex of the baby at a shower earlier this month.

Travolta and Preston are still grieving over the sudden death of their teenage son, Jett, last year.

Chris Brown strikes back. Brown is now speaking out about his Michael Jackson tribute during the BET Awards in June. Brown broke down in tears during the tribute and critics questioned whether he was faking it in an attempt to win back fans still angry over him beating up Rihanna.

Brown just went on BET`s "106 and Park" show to say his tears were not bogus.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHRIS BROWN, SINGER: It wasn`t fake. I know everybody`s trying extras on it and say that, but I mean, like everything, it was genuine. I think that was my ultimate apology, hands down.

HAMMER: Jersey versus "Jersey Shore."

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, this is it right here.

HAMMER: It seems a majority of people in New Jersey can`t stand "Jersey Shore," the TV show, not the beach. A brand-new poll just out reveals that 51 percent of New Jersey residents have an unfavorable view of the show and 54 percent think it`s bad for the state. Only 11 percent say they like the show. And that`s the situation in Jersey.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

And there is more big "Jersey Shore" news today. The show`s Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino will reportedly be joining the new season of "Dancing with the Stars."

We also just learned today that Bristol Palin could also be strutting her stuff on the dance floor.

Right now, in Atlanta, is Jenn Hobby. Jenn is a talk radio co-host on "The Bert Show." Right now, in Hollywood, Marc Malkin. Marc is a columnist for "E! Online."

I`ve got to tell you when I heard that Bristol might join up with "Dancing with the Stars," I was caught off guard. I get that she`s a celebrity. People know who she is. But a star? Really?

Maybe if they change the name of the show to "Dancing with the Celebrities," that would work for me. But I am not convinced for one that she`s a good fit for this show. Let`s go to our "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" - is Bristol Palin the right choice for "Dancing with the Stars"? Marc Malkin, off to you.

MARC MALKIN, COLUMNIST, "E! ONLINE": I think she is. You know what? Whether you love her or you hate her, you`re going to tune in. You`re going to want to see her. And "stars" - you know, it`s a word that`s used pretty loosely when it comes to "Dancing with the Stars."

HAMMER: Yes, I guess so. Except usually people have fame on that show because of something that they have accomplished, not simply because they are the offspring of somebody else who was famous.

Jenn, to you, on our "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint," Bristol Palin the right choice for "Dancing with the Stars"? What do you think?

JENN HOBBY, CO-HOST, "THE BERT SHOW": You know, I agree that it will be great for ratings. But I want to know, what does her mom think about this? Is her mom going to be in the audience and supporting her with this role? I just can`t see that happening especially if the political aspirations continue for the family.

HAMMER: Yes. No kidding. And maybe she will say, "Yes. I am doing `Dancing with the Stars.`" And then, she`ll say, "Oh, no. I`m not." Kind of how it just went with Levi a couple of months ago.

ABC was telling us today they`re not going to confirm or deny the buzz that Bristol is joining the show or anyone else for that matter. They`re making their official announcement on Monday and they love that we`re talking about this.

But don`t worry. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has the scoop on who may very well be joining up with "Dancing with the Stars." Here are the latest reports today. They include, as I mentioned, The Situation, showing off more on than his abs on the dance floor.

We`re hearing the Hoff - David Hasselhoff could soon be doing the rumba. I think that`s a great pick. And reality start Audrina Patridge could be waltzing her way onto the show. And Marc, I`ve got to say, look at that cast. That would be a dancing train wreck cast to remember. You`ve got to love it, right?

MALKIN: That is one big train wreck, but a fun train wreck. I mean, The Situation obviously is going to be shirtless the entire time. Audrina is going to have that sort of blank stare that she does all the time.

HAMMER: Yes.

MALKIN: And David Hasselhoff is such a huge ham he`s perfect for it.

HAMMER: He`s a ham, not a hamburger. Brooke Anderson, what are you thinking of that cast? I actually - I love the idea of the Hoff doing it, and I bet he could do really well.

ANDERSON: I bet he`s got some moves, A.J. And the graphics are hilarious, because the heads were so out of proportion with the bodies.

HAMMER: That`s what we do here.

ANDERSON: I just couldn`t stop laughing. But I think people will tune in because you love these guys or you hate these guys. You like to watch them or you don`t. But I think it could mean big ratings for ABC and "Dancing with the Stars."

I`m hearing "Dancing with the Stars" is not the only big casting news happening today. There are reports out there today that Barbara Walters is working on producing a new version of "The View" for men. So, "The View" for dudes could also be in the works.

Yes. Today`s spokesperson for Barbara Walters told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that Walters has no comment on the new version of "The View." But here at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT we could not help but come up with a possible panel for "The View 2.0."

Here are some of the men we think could really do the job. We think Bryant Gumbel would make the perfect counterpart to Whoopi Goldberg. We`re thinking the male counterpart of "The View`s" Sherri Shepherd would be the hilarious Chris Rock.

And how about Elisabeth Hasselbeck`s conservative better half, being her real better half, her husband, Tim Hasselbeck? And what about HLN`s Joy Behar on her seat on "The View"? This one is a no-brainer for me. "Saturday Night Live`s" Fred Armisen. So, Jenn, did we get it right?

HOBBY: I like some of the choices. You know, I`d like to see somebody a little controversial, maybe like a Dave Chappelle joining the show. I think he would really mix it up a bit.

And Daniel Tosh is one of those funny comedians that I think would be a great addition to a dude "View." I think he`s really funny right now. I think people would really grasp onto him.

ANDERSON: Marc, what about you? Your thoughts?

MALKIN: Well, I`m thinking, you know, Chris Rock for Sherri Shepherd? I think he`s a little too smart for that part. I think for Joy -

ANDERSON: Oh -

MALKIN: With Joy Behar, I think we should go with Harvey Fierstein because they sort of sound alike. And as for Whoopi Goldberg, maybe Robin Williams. They`re both hilarious and they`re both not great dressers.

ANDERSON: Ah. OK. I like that. You know, I think those guys would be fun, cute, informed panel. And if they could snag Chris Rock, I`m telling you, I would definitely tune in. Jenn Hobby and Marc Malkin, thanks, guys.

As we move on, you know, it`s not easy keeping up with the Kardashians. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is right there watching every step that Kim, Khloe and Kourtney make. The brand-new sexy tape of those crazy Kardashian sisters revealed today. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Jim Henson`s widow donates original Muppets to the Smithsonian. Sherri Shepherd, Matt Damon to make guest appearances on "30 Rock."

HAMMER: You know, keeping up the with the Kardashians - it`s not easy even though they`re always in super high heels.

But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is always in step with those crazy Kardashian sisters. We`ve got the first look of the exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney. This is their big fashion photo shoot for an incredible "Entertainment Weekly" magazine spread where the sisters reveal they are all about power.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This photo shoot was a lot of fun, kind of like sexy business, just showing, you know, the world who`s boss. I would definitely be the president of the Kardashian Company.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I think I would have to be the president.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I would be chairwoman of a board, absolutely.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m not good at taking orders from other people.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I have different companies I`m involved with.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I love bossing people around whether it`s my shoe company.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I love firing people and hiring people.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Or my closet organizing business.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I like to stay the quietest, but when it comes to business, I kind of lead them.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m going to be fired. Season five of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There`s a lot going on.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`ve kind of been raised as triplets.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`re always together, always done things together. Always labeled as a trio, which we love. But now Kim is this single girl. Kourtney is a mother and has a baby. And I`m married. It`s a lot to try to adapt to that in one year.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Probably, life has no peaches(ph) for me because I`m a really indecisive person.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Kim is not good at being single. She`s not good at living alone.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: She`s 28 years old and she`s not good at - I`m like, "You`re 28. How are you not good at doing things?"

Kourtney is calm and talks me through everything. Kourtney doesn`t have as much time. So it`s like, I would want more of Kourtney`s attention. I`m stuck with Khloe and she`s really harsh.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: She`s very kind of needy and clingy and -

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Do you feel enlightened? I know I am. Let`s face it. There are millions of people keeping up with the Kardashians - 4.7 million watched the season premiere of their show, a record for the "E! Network." The brand-new issue of "Entertainment Weekly" featuring the Kardashians is on newsstands right now.

ANDERSON: Wednesday, we asked you to vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. I was just given the stunning final results - "Lindsay Lohan Out of Rehab: Was she released too early?" Check this out. Ninety-four percent of you say yes. Only 6 percent of you think no.

Here`s some of the E-mails we received. You guys are not too happy about her early release. Aimee B. has this dire prediction for Lindsay, "It is an outrage for her to be released early from rehab. I doubt she`ll make it. I`ll give her four weeks."

And there was no love for LiLo on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page. Lauren F. posted, "An early jail release was bad enough. But rehab, too? What was the point of al those court hearings and the judge imposing a 90- day sentence if she was going to get out early?"

We appreciate your posts on Facebook and your E-mails. Keep them coming.

HAMMER: And Lindsay, we are rooting for you.

ANDERSON: Yes.

HAMMER: Believe it or not, we want to se you make it through this thing. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Remember, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is now live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday.

HAMMER: And still, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific here on HLN.
