BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Paris, banned?
HAMMER: Yes, you`ll want to hold on to your casino chips because Paris Hilton may have just been banned from Las Vegas - Sin City, Paris` playground. The place that you would expect her to be welcomed with open arms may now actually be saying, "We don`t want you here, Paris."
This shocking development comes today just after Paris Hilton was busted for allegedly having cocaine on her. But I can tell you, Paris - she is fighting back. She`s definitely got her poker face on, and she is not showing any signs of folding.

(voice-over): Las Vegas, Sin City - America`s playground. No matter your pleasure, no matter your vice, Las Vegas welcomes all - unless you`re Paris Hilton.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, as Paris Hilton deals with a criminal charge from her cocaine bust in Vegas last week, she reportedly is looking at a devastating and surprising fate.
JO PIAZZA, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: Paris Hilton might be banned from Las Vegas.
HAMMER: That`s right - Las Vegas, the town that let Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack run amok for years. The town that didn`t even bat an eye at those tiger-stealing groomsmen in "The Hangover" may soon say to Paris Hilton, "Stay away. You`re too much trouble."
PIAZZA: Sin City, a place that genuinely has no shame - that this place would say, "Paris Hilton, we don`t want you here anymore," is unbelievable.
HAMMER: Today, the Las Vegas resorts, Wynn and Encore, confirmed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that they have, indeed, banned Paris Hilton from the premises. Paris was talking to police in the hotel security office after a traffic stop last Friday night when police say a small baggy of cocaine fell out of her purse.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has also confirmed that Hilton`s boyfriend, Cy Waits, who was arrested along with Paris that night on a separate charge, has been, quote, "separated from his job as Wynn`s co-chief of night life operations."
PIAZZA: Now, being associated with Paris seems to be nothing but trouble.
HAMMER: Now, "People.com" is reporting that other hotels and clubs in Vegas may follow the Wynn`s lead and blackball Paris Hilton.
PIAZZA: Clubs across the city are very concerned. The city and state officials really crack down on illegal drug use in their clubs. And they`ve been known to shut down entire clubs where it`s been known that people have been abusing drugs on the premises.
HAMMER: And "People.com" quotes a Vegas insider who says no club would want to risk their business on the possibility that Paris might bring an illegal substance on the premises, as she`s accused of doing at the Wynn.
Entertainment journalist Jo Piazza tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT a Las Vegas ban would dry up a big source of income for Paris Hilton.
PIAZZA: Las Vegas has been her sugar mama. She`s been booked for six- figure appearance fees in clubs across the city. This is going to be a real hit in the wallet for Paris.
HAMMER: Paris, who police say is claiming the cocaine that fell out of her purse isn`t hers, isn`t saying much about her potential Vegas ban or her arrest. She tweeted, quote, "These rumors going around are so ridiculous, untrue and cruel. I`m not going to even pay attention to them because I know the truth."
But as Las Vegas establishments appear to leave Paris in the cold, there`s one place in town she can still call home - the Las Vegas Hilton, of course. A hotel spokesman tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "The history between Paris and this property is long indeed. She has been a guest here many, many times, and we would always welcome her back."
Of course, the Las Vegas Hilton`s hospitality might have a little something to do with the fact that the founder of Hilton Hotels, Conrad Hilton, is Paris` great-grandfather. Nothing like a good family connection.
PIAZZA: Maybe her dad, Rick, made a call and said, "Come on. Paris has got to stay somewhere."
HAMMER: The good news for Paris, "People.com" quotes a source who says Paris could still be allowed in the Vegas clubs she loves so much under certain conditions.
PIAZZA: They say that she can definitely come to the clubs as a visitor. But she`ll be subject to what other patrons are subject to, which means her bag will be searched. She might have to go through metal detectors. She can be patted up and down. She`ll be treated like a civilian if she chooses to stay in Las Vegas.
HAMMER: Paris Hilton, who for years has used Vegas as her personal playground and cash machine might now be treated like a common civilian? For Paris that would be a fate worse than a ban.

But hey, wait a second, there is a bright side to Paris` brand-new drama after being busted for cocaine possession. And that`s all the attention she`s been getting. She loves attention.
And that leads to today`s "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" - "Paris Hilton`s arrest: Do you think Paris is happy to be back in the headlines?"
Right now, from Hollywood, Pat Lalama, who is an investigative journalist. And from Atlanta, Carlos Diaz, who is a syndicated radio host and the guest host of "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL" this week at 7:00 p.m. Eastern right here on HLN.
All right, well, it certainly makes for a great story. I don`t actually think that Paris committed a felony to get all this attention. But Pat Lalama, my friend, to the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint," do you think Paris is happy to be back in the headlines even if it is for all the wrong reasons?
PAT LALAMA, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: Well, let me just start with this. If this young woman lived up to her promise to save the elephants in Africa and cite excerpts from the Bible, she would not be in this kind of trouble today, I tell you.
Now, having said that, I don`t think she planned it. I think she`s a dufus. I think she`s got too much money and too much time and she`s just got herself in trouble. But I do think she`s capitalizing while the attention is here. She`s going to grab it because tick, tick, tick, that clock is winding down for her.
HAMMER: And you`re right. Let me just write that one down, "Paris equals dufus. Pat Lalama." All right. Carlos, to the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, what do you think, is Paris happy to be back in the headlines right now?
CARLOS DIAZ, SYNDICATED RADIO HOST: I would like to forfeit my time to Pat Lalama. No, here`s the thing. Here`s the thing. You know, she`s shortsighted. She`s shortsighted. Yes, she`s loving this new attention.
But the bottom line, Paris, these are serious charges, the word "cocaine" does not go lightly in Las Vegas. And I know everyone thinks that Las Vegas is Sin City. It is Sin City, but they - but not in-your- face Sin City.
And cocaine charges will be dealt with severely in Las Vegas. And you might like it now, Paris, but come time when sentencing happens and the trial happens, you`re not going to like it too much then.
HAMMER: Yes. Not good attention. Being blacklisted is being blacklisted.
DIAZ: Right.
HAMMER: And she`s being blacklisted in Vegas. She`s been banned from the Wynn resorts. I wouldn`t be surprised if other hotels followed suit sometime soon. But thankfully for Paris, there`s one hotel that continues to roll out the welcome mat, continues to leave a light on for her. It`s the one that bears her family name, of course.
Today, a rep for the Vegas Hilton is telling SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "We here at the Hilton certainly wish Paris the best, and hope that she," and I love this part, "hope that she gets through any and all of her difficult times." So they`re recognizing that, "She has been a guest here many, many times and we would always welcome her back."
Thank you, great granddad. Well, the great irony, to me, about other hotels banning Paris is Vegas obviously has a long history of partiers and mischief that I would think has been far greater than Paris Hilton. Yet, she`s the one getting banned. Somehow I`m OK with that.
LALAMA: Yes.
HAMMER: Pat Lalama, I suspect you are, too. But do you think that Paris is actually devastated about this ban, assuming she even gets what`s going on?
LALAMA: No, I don`t think she`s devastated. But here`s the thing. I mean, I`m all for them banning her. I think it makes a great statement. And I hope they equally apply it to gangster rappers and hookers and whoever else is doing whatever in these hotels.
You know that`s not going to happen, but they are trying to make a point. I think that`s good. But you know, the problem is, is that she - her sense of self. She seems to be almost delusional about who she is and what she can get away with.
I mean, I frankly think I haven`t heard this before and I`m going to off on a little bit of a limb here. I think she was trying to palm that cocaine, the alleged cocaine in the purse, to try to throw it away. And that`s just stupidity. She`s doing nothing to help herself. Get a job. Get a life.
HAMMER: Yes. And of course, you know, according to Paris, the cocaine, not hers. And she`s doesn`t -
LALAMA: Right, right, right.
HAMMER: And she thinks maybe it was a friend`s or something like that. You know, I don`t believe she`s been banned from the Bunny Ranch yet. Maybe there`s a gig there for her.
LALAMA: Oh.
HAMMER: I realize she`s an heiress. She probably doesn`t have to worry a whole lot about money. But quite frankly, I know that she loved getting paid to play out there.
DIAZ: Right.
HAMMER: She makes a ton of dough doing that, just showing up to clubs, making a boatload of money. Carlos, I am actually guessing she is freaking out even just a little bit about that right now, don`t you think?
DIAZ: Well, the most hilarious thing is Paris Hilton wouldn`t be caught dead at the Hilton. There are no hot clubs at the Hilton, you know. XS is the hottest club in town. She can`t go to that club anymore. Encore. She can`t go to Tryst anymore - that`s over at the Wynn. You know, and the thing is, the clubs are very strict in Vegas.
HAMMER: Yes.
DIAZ: I was supposed to do an interview there one time. I forgot my ID. They wouldn`t let me in the club. I mean, I`m like, "You know who I am. I`m here all the time." They said, "Sorry, you have no ID." No one person is more important than the liquor license to these clubs.
HAMMER: That is true, even if you are Paris Hilton.
LALAMA: Right.
HAMMER: Pat Lalama, Carlos Diaz, thanks, guys.
ANDERSON: Moving now to the polarizing Palins. A disturbing new report today that is slamming Sarah Palin. But could this actually help the Palins?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with A.J. Hammer in New York.
HAMMER: Hey, you know, Brooke, I had no idea that Sarah and Jewel actually jammed together until today. Grammy Award winner Jewel and former governor Palin both grew up in Alaska. And I have got to show you this amazing video of how Jewel and Sarah Palin teamed up, and then sadly, went their separate ways.

JEWEL: We had this dumb joke, you know, about who was going to be the most famous Alaskan. And she was like, "I`m going to be on `Saturday Night Live` before you are." And I was like, "I`m going to be on the cover of `Time` magazine before you." And then all of a sudden she screams, "The hell you are!"

HAMMER: All right. Obviously, this is all a joke. Sarah and Jewel never were in a band together. This "Behind the Music" spoof is on "FunnyOrDie.com."
But Sarah did play the flute, I should point that out. Jewel did grow up in Homer, Alaska. Sarah, of course, in Wasilla, Alaska. And all of this is coming as brand-new explosive reports revealed today slamming Sarah Palin just as Sarah`s daughter, Bristol, gets set to do "Dancing with the Stars." Coming up, the polarizing Palins. Love them or hate them.
ANDERSON: Just in today, the massive outpouring of support for Michael`s brave battle. For the first time since being diagnosed with stage four throat cancer three weeks ago, Michael Douglas has been speaking out this week.
Today, so many fans are sharing their own personal battles, their thoughts, their emotions, and they`re prayers for the beloved actor and his family.
Right now, in Hollywood is Jim Moret, who is chief correspondent for "Inside Edition" and the author of this book, "The Last Day of My Life." Also in Hollywood is Kim Serafin. She is a senior editor for "In Touch Weekly."
Jim, Kim, I was overwhelmed by the compassionate - all the compassionate messages on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall today.
Here`s just a sampling. Here are just a couple. Pattie S. writes, "Michael, we are with you with spirit. We will pray for you. Keep strong."
Marie B. posts this, "Yes, he has a tough battle to fight. He was really open and honest with all of it. He was my favorite actor. Wish him the best."
Jim, I think that Michael`s candor, coupled with the fact that so many people can identify with what he`s going through, is part of the reason why there is such a huge outpouring of support. So much love for him.
JIM MORET, CHIEF CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": You know, I grew up with him when he was on "The Streets of San Francisco" before he was a film actor. I saw him on TV. A lot of people feel like they know him. They like him.
And I`m not surprised by the outpouring of support. He was very open on "David Letterman." And I think that that candor really made a lot of people take a deep breath -
ANDERSON: And he didn`t have to be.
MORET: he did not have to be.
ANDERSON: He doesn`t owe us anything. He doesn`t owe us any details.
MORET: No, he doesn`t. And of course, people are pulling for him. Of course, they are. We talked to someone on "Inside Edition" today who had stage four cancer, same type of cancer, same treatment. And she`s now cancer free for five years.
ANDERSON: Yes. And he says his prognosis is good as well. And you know, Michael is not the only one being so candid here. His wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, is actually sharing her frustrations. Her fury and her fear about Michael`s battle.
Catherine tells "People" magazine this, "It makes me furious they didn`t detect it earlier. He sought every option and nothing was found."
Catherine goes on to say that dealing with Michael`s treatment is really, really challenging for her. She says, "I know maybe I should be stronger, but emotionally, I just don`t want to see that. But I am right there when he comes home."
Kim, I`m sure that Catherine`s fury, her fear, her feelings are something that so many spouses in similar situations can relate to. I think this is really putting a current celebrity face on what a lot of people deal with, isn`t it?
KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Oh, absolutely. I mean, it`s great when celebrities lend their name to a cause and show up at a benefit or do the stand up to cancer telethon. But when they can really be so frank and so open about everything they`re going through -
ANDERSON: Yes.
SERAFIN: It really means a lot. Everyone, we all - I`ve dealt with it, you know. Someone that I love had cancer. Everyone has a friend, a family member or dealt with it themselves.
ANDERSON: Yes.
SERAFIN: And I think when you see someone like Michael Douglas, you know, his iconic voice even, going through all this.
ANDERSON: Absolutely.
SERAFIN: And he could so easily turn around and not deal with it. It`s great to see it.

ANDERSON: Everyone has been touched in some way, shape or form. I know and so many people can relate to that, as well, Jim. Jim Moret, Kim Serafin, we`ve got to leave it there. Thanks.

HAMMER: Oh, "Beverly Hills 90210." Yes. I admit it. I have no problem saying this - one of my all-time favorite shows of the `90s. Yes, it was kind of corny, but don`t hate on Brenda, Kelly, Dylan and Brandon.
There`s a huge 90210 party today. That is because it is 9-02-10 day. Now, I want you to grab your calendar, because if you do, you`ll see today is September 2nd, 2010, 9-02-10. Pretty cool, right?
Just to celebrate, there`s a big old bash going on right now in Beverly Hills being hosted by CNN`s own Larry King. The CW Network even re-jiggered its schedule today to air an episode of the new version of the show. They called that one "90210."
But I`ve got to tell you, Brooke Anderson, I still love the original. Say what you will about it. I long for the day where I can sit down at the counter of the Peach Pit and maybe have a veggie burger with Nate.
ANDERSON: You can do that because there is the Peach Pit for this version, the new show.
HAMMER: That`s right.
ANDERSON: Do you watch?
HAMMER: I catch it on occasion, but there`s no replacing the original.
ANDERSON: No, you`re right. All right. I`ve got to move now to Oprah`s dramatic reaction today to Dr. Oz`s shocking revelation that he had a precancerous polyp in his colon.
Oprah produces Dr. Oz`s talk show. Oz went right to Oprah as soon as he heard the news following a colonoscopy. And he tells "People" magazine that Oprah now wants to get a colonoscopy ASAP because she has been putting it off.
HAMMER: Well, Snooki`s marriage proposal has got you all fired up on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page. Today, "The Jersey Shore" star turned down an offer from a boyfriend. He actually asked her in a magazine, of all places, for her hand in marriage.
But Felicia M. thinks Snooki should reconsider. She writes, "She could make pretty good money on a Snooki wedding reality show."
I love this one from Crystal S., all for the marriage under one condition, "Everyone deserves to have someone who loves them. I just hope she doesn`t procreate. The world could do without that."

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - the polarizing Palins. A scathing new article about Sarah Palin in "Vanity Fair" paints a very disturbing picture about the former vice presidential candidate and her family.
Sarah`s reported moneymaking deals since she quit being governor of Alaska exposed. The reports about Sarah`s sit-down with Levi Johnston before he made that public apology to her, exposed.
And the brand-new report today comes just as Sarah`s daughter Bristol is getting ready to make her big debut on "Dancing with the Stars."
With me from Hollywood to hash this out, Pat Lalama who is an investigative journalist. And from Atlanta, Carlos Diaz, who is a syndicated radio host. He`s also sitting in this week as guest host on "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL," a fine show, at 7:00 p.m. Eastern right here on HLN. Check it out.
Pat, Carlos, I have to begin with the brand-new report in "Vanity Fair`s" October issue about Sarah Palin. And I want to be clear here. Palin did not do an interview herself for this article. She did not make a comment nor did she verify what`s in the report.
That said, according to this article, Levi Johnston met with Sarah back in June, hoping - oh, hoping to bury the hatchet. Palin began the conversation with two questions, asking Levi if he was recording it, asking Levi if he was wearing a wire.
The report goes on to say that Palin wanted more than a private apology from Levi. She wanted a public apology. Carlos, I wouldn`t blame her. I can very well imagine that Palin would want a public apology from Levi. Are you buying it?
DIAZ: Well, Brooke, you know that I`m a big Sarah Palin fan. You know that. No, but I mean you know what? In this case, if this really did go on, she`s actually smart. Because, yes, I mean I would ask him, "OK, Levi, you know, because are you kind of a fame-monger, you know, are you wearing a wire? Can we pat this guy down, you know?"
I think, she knows some people that know the procedure and make sure that nothing`s being recorded. And yes, I want a public apology. And then, it`s kind of like, "I accept your public apology and we all can move forward." As we know, we`re not moving forward.
ANDERSON: Jump in here. I feel like you want to talk, Pat.
LALAMA: I am just - I`m so ready to burst over this issue. Let me tell you a quick story. The day that Sarah Palin made her announcement that she was running for vice president, I went to work at my production company or production company where I work.
And a colleague runs in to my office and goes, "Did you see her? Did you see her? Did you see that woman? My wife hates her. My wife`s not even in politics and she`s vowed to ruin this woman."
And I thought, isn`t that interesting. But yet, a precursor to this overwhelming collective jealousy, hatred, and fear of this one woman. I`ll tell you what. The mainstream uppity media elite who are vowing to themselves, laying in bed at night going, "How can we ruin this woman?" I feel sorry for you.
You need medication. You need psychiatry. There`s something wrong that there`s so much vitriol and that there`s so little support for a woman because she`s pretty and because she refuses to allow an abortion in her family. It`s out of control.
ANDERSON: OK. So you are really upset about the negative tone of the article?
LALAMA: Absolutely. It is so out of control.
ANDERSON: Carlos, what do you say?
DIAZ: You know, listen. Pat is - I`ve known Pat for a long time. Pat is right on a lot of topics, and she`s very passionate about this. I mean, how I would rebut is to say, Pat, come on. You know more than anybody that you should respect a woman`s intelligence.
And there`s several times throughout the course of the campaign that Sarah Palin proved that she wasn`t too intelligent or wasn`t too prepared for certain confrontations.
LALAMA: I`m talking about the hatred, Carlos - the hatred. The venom is far beyond. There are a lot of conservative women who are in lockstep with what she believes. There`s so much inordinate jealousy over this woman it scares me.
And unfortunately, for the uppity mainstream media, it`s going to backfire because they do not speak for how human beings feel about this woman. No, I don`t necessarily agree with everything she says.
But to rip her apart at every possibility, with the power of the pen and the microphone - it`s criminal what`s going on to this woman.
ANDERSON: OK. Well, I want to jump in here and say, because a lot of people love her. A lot of people hate her. But like her or not, let`s talk a little bit about her finances, because Sarah Palin is reportedly making a whole lot of dough.
"Vanity Fair" reports that she has pulled in a whopping $13 million since she resigned as governor of Alaska. And they report of that $13 million, she`s made $3 million in speaking fees and $1 million as a paid contributor for Fox News.
Carlos, it doesn`t really seem to me like the attacks are hurting Palin`s pocketbook. If anything, I think these negative reports about her just garner more interest, bring more attention. What do you think?
DIAZ: Yes. I mean, Pat just proved a point. I mean, Pat`s very passionate about this and a lot of people echo what Pat is saying. The passion, because she is a polarizing figure, and when people are trying to bring her down, you know, so vehemently -
LALAMA: What is polarizing -
DIAZ: What`s polarizing -
LALAMA: The polarization is created. It`s been created by the people who hate her. She`s a woman who is strong in her beliefs, who happens to look good, and doesn`t make apologies.
And this nation, and by this nation I mean the media reps are out to ruin her. And it`s not going to work. It`s going to backfire. And she`s going to laugh all the way home and all the way to the bank.
ANDERSON: Well, listen -

DIAZ: Pat, I hope (INAUDIBLE) the next vice president. I hope that she`s more prepared next time she runs for anything.
LALAMA: Carlos, it doesn`t matter - we`re not talking about whether she`s qualified -
ANDERSON: Time out -
LALAMA: We`re talking about a human being who respects more respect than this.
ANDERSON: OK. Time out. To your corners - Carlos, to this corner, Pat Lalama to this corner. Thank you very much.
Fists down, let`s move on because I want to talk about her daughter right now, because she`s also getting a lot of exposure, getting paid big bucks to reveal photos of her son`s first birthday, to go with Levi and talk about a re-engagement.
And now, take a look at Bristol Palin. She`s going to be on "Dancing with the Stars" and she`s going to be going head-to-head with The Situation from the "Jersey Shore."
So we asked in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll - "`Dancing with the Stars` Showdown: Who`s going to last longer on the show?" We`re going to have some fun now - Bristol Palin or The Situation? A.J. Who do you think is going to last longer?
HAMMER: You`re going to love me and Pat`s going to love me for saying this. But I actually think The Situation will last longer. I don`t know if the guy`s ever done a day of cardio in his life, but he`s used to going to the gym, obviously. That can only happen.
Let me just settle this now and just move on. Because we have brand- new reports today we`ve got to get to. Let`s talk about Jon Gosselin, shall we?
LALAMA: Oh, please -
HAMMER: These reports say that Jon tried to blackmail Kate. Jon`s ex- girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, claiming in a new interview with "Radar Online" that Jon tried to extort money from his ex-wife, Kate, by threatening to report her to Child Protective Services if she didn`t cough up some cash.
Jon flatly denying what Hailey is claiming, tweeting this, "`Radar Online` has been duped again by Hailey Glassman who is apparently without a job and desperate for money. This article contains so many lies they`re too numerous to count. It is completely false and without merit."
So Jon basically calling Hailey a bitter, broke ex. Quickly, Pat, should Jon be worried about her making these damaging claims so publicly?
LALAMA: We`re having a nice intelligent discussion about Sarah Palin and you make me get in the manure now with Jon Gosselin
HAMMER: Right into it.
LALAMA: Who will believe his ex - give that one to Carlos. I don`t even care about it.
HAMMER: I`ll tell you what - let me just pick up what I believe you were going to say - who believes anything either one of these people say? Does that pretty much settle it?
LALAMA: Exactly.
DIAZ: I get the manure? I get the manure? What is that?

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
ANDERSON: And there is big news breaking in "The Buzz" today, A.J. Ashton Kutcher fights back - the shocking new star - "Punk`d" star is prepared to go to extraordinary lengths to shoot down tawdry tabloid reports that he`s cheating.
Also outrageous "Office" news today. The new name being buzzed about today to possibly replace Steve Carell. Plus, Celine Dion is setting the record straight today. The mommy-to-be of twins reveals how she`s feeling.

(voice-over): Celine slams health rumors. Celine Dion, who is expecting twin sons in November, is shooting down reports by a French tabloid that she was rushed to the hospital suffering from pregnancy complications.
Celine tells "People" magazine her pregnancy is going well and she feels fantastic, although she does say since she`s expecting multiple babies, doctors want her to take it easy for the next couple of months.
Keitel in for Carell? Talk about a change of pace. Show producers reportedly want "Reservoir Dogs" star, Harvey Keitel, to replace departing star, Steve Carell, on the hit sitcom "The Office."
"E! News" says the show has the tough-guy actor in its sights but hasn`t reached out to him just yet. John Krasinski just spoke to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT and he says the cast has been kept in the dark about their new officemate.
JOHN KRASINSKI, ACTOR: I don`t know. I think it would be fun to work with him or, you know, just get Jack Nicholson to do it.
ANDERSON: Ashton`s star slam. Ashton Kutcher is steaming after "Star" magazine claimed he was cheating on his wife Demi Moore. Both Ashton and Demi posted tweets denying the story.
And now, Ashton is threatening the tabloid with a lawsuit. He tweeted, "I think `Star` magazine calling me a cheater qualifies as defamation of character. I hope my lawyer agrees." Adding, "`Star` magazine, you don`t get to stand behind freedom of the press when you are writing fiction."

HAMMER: So the big question remains today, will Ashton Kutcher actually sue "Star"? Now, remember Brangelina did it. They won.
Joining me right now in Hollywood, Pat Lalama, who is an investigative journalist. Right now, in New York, Ben Widdicombe, who is a celebrity journalist.
So Ashton clearly mad and he`s not going to take it anymore. "Star" magazine made some pretty, pretty bold claims this week when they reported sources saying this, "Ashton had this gorgeous girl pinned against the wall, and he was totally making out with her."
The source goes on to tell "Star," "I was shocked to see him sucking face with a girl who obviously wasn`t Demi."
Now, Ashton says he`s going to talk to his lawyer. Ben Widdicombe, obviously, you know, nobody wants to be accused of cheating in this public way. If the whole thing is made up, I think he absolutely should sue. What about you?
BEN WIDDICOMBE, CELEBRITY JOURNALIST: You know, it will be interesting to see whether he does, because, of course, that will open up the whole process which is not a bad thing.
I`m all for transparency in the celebrity media because you do have to have faith that the stories are true. If it`s not true, he should take him to court. Now, it hasn`t been proven that it`s not true, by the way. But I`m all for transparency.
HAMMER: Yes.
WIDDICOMBE: If he thinks it`s wrong, then take them to court. Let`s bring it out into the open.
HAMMER: And people have done it before. As I mentioned, just last month, Brangelina won a major lawsuit against "News of the World." They had reported that they had split.
But Pat Lalama, we know cheating accusations can be completely different, because sometimes, when you make noise about it, then that can have people saying, "Oh, thou doth protest too much." You know what I`m saying? I mean, could Ashton be making a mistake by suing here?
LALAMA: No. I get your point, but not in this case. I think he`s standing behind principles. I say go for it. These magazines push the envelope. They get away with it because, like you say, a lot of people think, "If I make a lot of noise, it`s going to create a big firestorm."
I think, as was mentioned, if he can prove that they knew when they printed it that it was a lie, that is the foundation of winning a lawsuit.
HAMMER: Yes.
LALAMA: I think they can do it. I say go for it. And let them start leading the way for other people to follow suit and shut these magazines down when they lie.
HAMMER: But now, again, and maybe this is to Ben`s point, if all of a sudden, he decides not to sue, then people are going to say, "Oh, I wonder why he`s not suing." But we`re going to have to just wait and see what he ends up doing.
Let`s move on now to another story making a big buzz today. Jane Fonda`s got a new workout tape. Everybody at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is excited.
Now, remember, back in the `80s, she was almost as well known for selling her bestselling workout videos as she was for her iconic movies. Brooke Anderson, I believe it is actually our responsibility at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT to show the world now what Jane looks like in her leotard these days.
ANDERSON: I will, A.J. But before we show you what she looks like now at age 72, take a look at what she looked like in that leotard back in the day, back in the `80s. Here she is on the cover of one of her very popular `80s workout tapes.
And take a look, here she is now at 72 - 72. Can you believe it? She looks incredible. Her new workout video is geared towards seniors and people who are new to the whole exercise thing. Ben, it`s hard to think of her in terms of being a senior. Look at her.
WIDDICOMBE: Well, Brooke, she does look good. And I know she used to be the first lady of CNN but I think it`s stretching it a bit to say she doesn`t look like a senior. I think she looks like a very well-preserved senior.
ANDERSON: Oh. This video will come out in November. But I think it might be a good idea right now to take a trip down memory lane with one of her old tapes from the `80s. Roll it, Danny.

ANDERSON: So you won`t buy this new tape from Jane?
LALAMA: I don`t know if I will buy this tape but I do support what she does. And I think she looks great.

All right. Now, to the reality show moment that everybody is talking about. Today, for the very first time, "Real Housewives" star, Teresa Giudice, is speaking out about her explosive confrontation on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion with fellow "Housewives" star, Danielle Staub.
With me in New York is Ben Widdicombe. Ben is a celebrity journalist.
So Ben, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion, not a happy one for enemies, Teresa and Danielle. They nearly came to blows. It is TV at its finest. Let`s roll that out, Danny.

HAMMER: All right. We all know it`s no secret a lot of the drama on reality TV is forced. But Ben, doesn`t it kind of lose something when a star of the show admits on TV, "Yes, we`re basically faking it"?
WIDDICOMBE: Well, A.J., I believe these women honestly don`t like each other. But I also believe they`re turning it up to 11 because that`s what people want and that`s getting them more camera time. So I think they`re playing along with their natural instincts. They`re just hyping it up to get eyeballs.
HAMMER: Yes. That`s exactly what they do. All right. Well, the ladies on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" really do know how to bring the drama. They`ve shown us that.
But of course, that other Jersey reality show, "Jersey Shore" - that is a drama force to be reckoned with. So we asked in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll - "Jersey Shore-Down?" Like "Jersey Showdown" - "Jersey Showdown." "Which is the biggest train wreck?"
Let`s look at the results. I got them in just moments ago. Sixty- four percent of you say "Jersey Shore" is the bigger train wreck; 36 percent, "Real Housewives of New Jersey."
Ben, I see it the other way around because these older women should know better. Are you surprised by the results?
WIDDICOMBE: I think the "Jersey Shore" cast are behaving well compared to the "Real Housewives," frankly. Well, at least the "Jersey Shore" cast seem to like each other, but the housewives are just at each other`s throats at all times.
HAMMER: Yes. Yes. I mean, you know, when you`re young and dumb, what the heck are you going to do out on the beach over the summer? You`re going to make some noise. These older ladies should know. Ben Widdicombe, I thank you very much.
