A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer, coming to you from New York City.
ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today. Exclusive - Angelina Jolie`s mission of mercy.
HAMMER: Yes. Angelina Jolie spoke out today in an exclusive interview about her daring mission to save lives in Pakistan, from Pakistan. And once again, Angelina is just rewriting the book on taking risks to go where no other stars have gone before.
She also opened up today about how her incredible missions are impacting Brad Pitt and their kids. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that Angelina Jolie is holding nothing back.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over): Angelina Jolie spent the summer kicking butt in "Salt." Today, Angelina Jolie is using her megastar power to bring attention to a real-life tragedy, the millions of people affected by the flooding in Pakistan.
JOLIE: I think we have no choice but to be optimistic and to have hope. I think without that, we`re just lost and things deteriorate.
HAMMER: Today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT brings you Angelina`s brand-new interview with CNN`s chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Jolie spoke from northern Pakistan where she`s been witnessing firsthand the devastating flood that`s affected a mind-boggling 20 million people.
DR. SANJAY GUPTA, CNN CHIEF MEDICAL CORRESPONDENT: How do you convey the scope of this to people back home?
JOLIE: I was standing in one of the houses. It was nine feet tall, the water. It wasn`t just, you know, suddenly, this kind of flood that made everything wet for a few feet. It was nine feet tall. And washed away - washed children away, you know, right out of their parents` hands.
HAMMER: Being right in the middle of disaster is nothing new to Angelina Jolie. Along with being an Oscar-winning movie star, she takes her humanitarian work seriously.
KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Angelina, for years, has been a U.N. goodwill ambassador. And she has traveled the world bringing attention to really important things like what she`s just done in Pakistan.
GUPTA: Do you spend a lot of time talking about this with your friends and family when you get home?
JOLIE: I do. I talk to my family. I talk to Brad.
HAMMER: And in her exclusive interview with CNN`s Sanjay Gupta, Jolie revealed for the first time the personal side of her international work and how she shares it with her partner, Brad Pitt.
JOLIE: He wants to know as much as he can about these issues and every trip. And he`s been here as well. He came here with me after the earthquake. I don`t know. I don`t have a lot of friends I talk to. He`s really the only person I talk to.
HAMMER: Jolie says she even gets their six kids involved.
JOLIE: I told my children. I told them and said why I was going. And I explained to them - they`ve seen the news. And I explained to them why I was packing flashlights and food and, you know, they helped me pack some things.
HAMMER: Jolie tells CNN`s Sanjay Gupta she hopes her international humanitarian work has special meaning for her and Pitt`s three adopted children who were born in Cambodia, Vietnam and Ethiopia.
JOLIE: I want them to understand what`s happening in Africa and to understand what happening. So, I do try to teach them as much as I can. I think it also - it helps them to be better people to understand a little bit about the world.
HAMMER: In her exclusive interview with CNN`s Sanjay Gupta, Jolie told the heartbreaking story of meeting an elderly couple in Pakistan who had lost everything in the flood.
JOLIE: They worked their whole lives. And the man had been in the Pakistani military twice and he had then lived off a pension. With that small pension, he built this home. They`ve lived in this place since 1972 and raised their children and their grandchildren there.
And in a moment, in a few hours, it was completely gone. The woman was so embarrassed with this situation. She and the man spoke of the fact that he never felt in his lifetime he`s ever going to be able to recuperate what he`s lost.
HAMMER: And just like movie stars hope their red carpet walks help bring box office dollars to the movie they`re promoting, Jolie says she hopes the A-list attention she`s bringing to Pakistan help bring aid to victims who so desperately need it.
JOLIE: The people, the family, they are lovely, lovely hard-working people and beautiful children. And they deserve - they deserve dignity and assistance. And you know, we have to treat them with respect and try to preserve what we can of their livelihood and their future.
HAMMER: And it is heartbreaking stories like that, things Angelina has now witnessed, that once again show this is one superstar who is not only in the business of making movies, but making a difference.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
You just have to admire the tireless work that both Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt do to help those in need. But here`s my question - is there really anything Angelina Jolie can`t do?
With me in New York, Tanika Ray who is an entertainment journalist. Right now, in Hollywood, Sam Rubin. Sam is the entertainment reporter for KTLA TV. He is also the host of a cool new show, "Hollywood Uncensored with Sam Rubin" on Reelz Channel.
So in this CNN exclusive with Angelina Jolie today, it really struck me when Angelina said this about Brad, "I don`t have a lot of friends that I talk to. He`s the only person I talk to." Tanika, what does that tell you about Angelina Jolie?
TANIKA RAY, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: She`s smart. You know, with all the people that want to follow her every day and find out little nuances about her life, she`s keeping her inner sphere very small. And she`s smart about that.
The only person she can probably trust at this point is Brad. She`s not a girl`s girl anyway where she can have girl friend and have lunch. She`s got six kids. She`s got to save the world and she`s got the hottest man in the world. She doesn`t need anybody else.
HAMMER: What do you think, Sam? Is it about self-preservation here?
SAM RUBIN, ENTERTAINMENT REPORTER, KTLA TV: Well, you know what it`s all about, A.J. And I think it`s something to very much be admired. There are people who talk the talk, but Angelina Jolie, along with Brad Pitt, perhaps more than anyone, actually walks the walk.
RAY: Absolutely.
RUBIN: And walks the walk all over the world. She`s doing stunning work. I think the fact that she`s not on Rodeo Drive having a ladies lunch is not problematic in the slightest.
RAY: Exactly. I applaud.
HAMMER: No kidding. And these certainly aren`t vanity projects for either one of them.
RUBIN: Right. No.
HAMMER: It is something about which they are truly passionate. Well, there`s more breaking news today about Sandra Bullock`s ex. It looks like Jesse James may finally be done with Sandra for good. Brooke, please tell me what`s going on here.
ANDERSON: A.J., even though Jesse is moving close to Sandra in Texas, he`s got a new love in Los Angeles. In a brand-new interview revealed today, Kat Von D reveals that she is in love with Jesse James.
Now, Kat stars in the reality show, "L.A. Ink." It`s all about her tattoo parlor. And in the upcoming issue of "People" magazine revealed today, Kat declares her love for Jesse, saying this, "I don`t hang out with anybody unless I am in love."
Sam, you just interviewed Kat. Could she - I`ve got to ask you, could she be asking for some serious backlash here by professing her love so soon for the man who just recently broke Sandra Bullock`s heart so publicly?
RUBIN: You know what, Brooke? I think this is a trademark of Kat Von D. I think, sincerely, she doesn`t care. She`s not interested in public opinion. She`s interested in, you know, the heart wants what it wants.
And it was so funny, because she was just with us last week here in Hollywood and was very reluctant - she said, "You know, this stuff is very private to me." And with all the tattoos and everything else, it`s like, "Well, how private are you? You really stand out anywhere that you go."
And she`s sort of softened a little bit, indicated that she was having an exclusive and romantic relationship with Jesse James. These remarks attributed to her don`t surprise me. It may be off-putting to some people but she very much feels how she feels.
And I think her thought was, "What happened before happened before. That doesn`t involve me. I`m with him, he`s with me. There we are."
ANDERSON: Yes, she`s not being private anymore. Tanika, you seem a little disgusted.
RAY: Well, Brooke, I know if I was sitting there with you, we would be screaming right now because it`s so highly inappropriate. Well, it feels like, it hasn`t even been a year, Kat. Like, simmer down.
But then, again, if you look at any of her tattoo pictures, she is incredibly anti-establishment. She has "Hollywood" tattooed across her belly. She`s got a reality show to promote.
What perfect timing is this? She`s on every magazine cover. It`s a little odd that Jesse is not out saying that he`s in love with Kat. So it seems a little self-serving. Yes, it`s gross. We`re all going to be disgusted by it for a while.
I just think they should go in private and see if their relationship is going to last. We don`t need to see the intimate details.
ANDERSON: Well, she thinks it is because she tells "People" magazine that she thinks Jesse is the one.
RAY: It hasn`t even been a year.
ANDERSON: But Jesse not really talking about it. You know, when he was asked what he likes best about Kat, he simply said "everything."
Now, Jesse and Sandra`s divorce became final in June, just in June. Sam, when you spoke to Kat, did you get the sense that these two might get married sometime soon?
RUBIN: Well, I think getting married would promote Tanika to say "sheesh" amongst others. I think marriage is a ways off. But the fact of the matter is, these seem to be very similar people at least in terms of their appearance, their interest in all these body art and things like that.
And you know, I guess we always get the sense that Jesse James was sort of this wild guy and was interested in these types of women. And I think Kat Von D thinks she`s, you know, arguably in that category.
RAY: Yes.
RUBIN: But she`s very much her own person and so -
RAY: Sam, they make sense - they make sense together.
RUBIN: Yes.
RAY: We get it.
RUBIN: Yes.
ANDERSON: Yes. And she said they like to play Scrabble together, that they`re both nerds, so it goes beyond the tattoos. We`ll have to wait and see if these two go the distance. All right, Sam Rubin, Tanika Ray, thanks.
HAMMER: Let`s talk about Snooki, shall we? She`s got a pest problem. The "Jersey Shore" star`s big court date today. She`s facing charges of going wild and being a pest.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
NICOLE "SNOOKI" POLIZZI, REALITY TV STAR, "JERSEY SHORE": When I saw what happened and everyone told me what happened - very embarrassed. This is not like me. I`ve never been in this situation before.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes, this is a situation, all right. I`m not talking about Mr. Abs here. Could Snooki really go to jail? I`m thinking maybe she could get life.
A brand-new Lady Gaga controversy today. Check this out. Lady Gaga on the cover of a magazine. Look at her, she`s covered in raw meat. That`s some outfit, Gaga.
And the "Teen Mom" reality check. The explosive controversy today over reality shows featuring teen moms. A big old fired up "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" today: "Teen Mom Reality Shows: Are they setting a terrible message?" This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

PIERS MORGAN, JUDGE, "AMERICA`S GOT TALENT": (INAUDIBLE) in these shows at this stage, who has the nerve? Who can step up? Who can take risks? Who can prove us wrong? You did all those things. You`re in the top 10. Brilliant.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: I`ll tell you what else is brilliant. "America`s Got Talent" judge, Piers Morgan, is coming to CNN. Yes, he`s got a brand spanking new gig as host of a show on CNN.
The legendary Larry King is passing the torch, after 25 years on CNN. And Piers new show at 9:00 p.m. Eastern weekdays starts in January. Today, we`ve got the one-on-one interview with Piers that you will see first here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with A.J. Hammer in New York.
HAMMER: And Brooke, we`ve got big news in just today. Piers Morgan is coming to CNN. This guy, of course, is a judge on the biggest show on TV this summer, "America`s Got Talent." And now, he`s bringing his talent to CNN.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter joins us now from Hollywood. She spoke with Piers this afternoon. Kareen, what is he saying?
KAREEN WYNTER, CNN ENTERTAINMENT CORRESPONDENT: Well, A.J., I`ve got to tell you, my interview with Piers - it was funny. It was enlightening and, frankly, really, really exciting.
And he could barely contain his excitement, A.J., about his upcoming new show on CNN. And tells me - listen to this - that Larry King has also been his hero and that it`s like, you know, pinching himself every day, that it seems too good to be true that he`s now taking over Larry`s time slot. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
MORGAN: It kind of feels like, I would imagine, the guy who was told, "You`re following Frank Sinatra at the Sands in Vegas." Your first reaction is "What?" How can you follow a legend like that?
And then you think, what a challenge, what an honor to be able to fill the shoes of someone like Larry King, I mean, for me, as a TV interviewer, it`s primarily what I did back in England, to have watched him over the last 25 years, interviewing the most interesting people in the world, and to be, without a doubt, the most famous interviewer probably in TV history.
And him and David Frost were my two heroes. They`re the guys who made me go into TV interviewing. So to be here today with Larry, posing for pictures with him, to take over his show, this iconic 9:00 p.m. slot on CNN, biggest thrill of my life.
WYNTER (on camera): So you must wake up every morning and pinch yourself to see if it`s really true.
MORGAN: Who`s pinching me right here? Get out of here.
WYNTER: Who is that one person you want to interview right out the gates?
MORGAN: Larry King would be good.
WYNTER: What would you ask him?
MORGAN: Where do you start? I mean, Larry`s -
WYNTER: How much time do you have?
MORGAN: Not enough for Larry King. I mean, I said to him, it would be a three-part series. What an amazing career. What a life.
WYNTER: OK, besides having Larry on, you mentioned a little bit Lindsay Lohan -
MORGAN: Mel Gibson -
WYNTER: Mel Gibson?
MORGAN: Hillary Clinton.
WYNTER: What kind of show will that be?
MORGAN: Sarah Palin. It`s going to be the biggest interview show in the world and the best. It`s going to be provocative, challenging, funny. I want to have fun with people. I want to be incredibly entertaining and surprising, unpredictable.
There will be pre-taped, some live. I`ll do the breaking news when it happens because that`s my background. I did all the big news stories for 10 years.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
WYNTER: And, A.J., something I found really interesting in my interview with Piers, he said he got the big-time blessing of the godfather of reality TV judges. I know you know whom I`m talking about - Simon Cowell.
Piers tells me that it was Simon who actually told him to go ahead take the CNN gig, and joked that Simon told him he wasn`t much of a judge to begin with. But Piers definitely has a sense of humor, A.J.
HAMMER: Wow. All right. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter, thank you so much. Of course, we are wishing Piers Morgan the very best of luck. You can catch Piers` brand-new show on CNN. We`re all looking forward to it.
WYNTER: Yes.
HAMMER: It will start up in January, weeknights at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
ANDERSON: Oh, it`s going to be great. OK. Caught on tape and revealed today - a lion attack. Did you see this? A couple was on their honeymoon, just checking out the lion exhibit at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.
They were taping the lions - yikes! When all of a sudden one of the lions attacked one of the trainers. Fortunately, another trainer was right there and helped rescue his colleague.
The guy who was attacked had to have stitches on his left leg and plans to return to work once he`s better. The lion is reportedly already back at the exhibit.
HAMMER: Wow. That is scary. I`ve got to move on now to something else that`s scary. It`s Snooki and the incredible Snooki news that`s breaking today. She roared into court to face charges that she`s a pest.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You seem to be acting like a Lindsay Lohan wannabe in this matter, going through life rude, profane, obnoxious and self- indulgent.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: No, not Snooki. Well, that judge doesn`t sound happy at all. Could Snooki go to jail?
You know, speaking of pests. Why former "Desperate Housewives" star, Nicollette Sheridan, is being called annoying today. But believe it or not, it`s actually a good thing for her. In fact, being annoying could make Nicollette $20 million richer.
And eyelashes for your car? Get a load of this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JEANNE MOOS, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: CarLashes, the latest automotive accessory. Flexible plastic lashes you attach above your headlights - $24.99 a pair.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JENNA USHKOWITZ, ACTRESS: We`re going to do less songs this season in each episode, but they`re still going to be pretty stellar, I think. I`m totally excited for the Britney episode because Britney Spears is my idol.
And I`m also really excited about this love triangle that Tina is going to have. I`m not going to tell you anymore, though. You`re going to have to watch and see.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Oh. You just got to pick up a copy of "People`s" awesome "Glee" issue. It`s on newsstands, Friday.
ANDERSON: On, Tuesday, we asked you to vote in the our exclusive poll - "Kara DioGuardi Leaves `American Idol`: Will you miss Kara?" Look at this. Only 21 percent of you say yes; 79 percent of you say no. What`s up with that, people?
All right. Over on Facebook, you all are really fired up today about Jerry Lewis` shocking interview where he says that he would smack Lindsay Lohan in the mouth to set her straight.
Christina M. writes, "As long as she gets to slap him back, I`m all for it."
OK. OK. I want to point out I really don`t think Jerry really meant it when he said that he wanted to hit Lindsay. It`s just his sense of humor.
HAMMER: Time now for the SHOWBIZ lineup. Here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
It`s Snooki in court today, facing charges that she`s a pest.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most-provocative entertainment news show continues right now.
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Snooki`s pest problem. The "Jersey Shore" star had a big date today with a judge who called her a Lindsay Lohan wannabe.
Snooki appeared in a New Jersey courtroom this afternoon after pleading guilty to disturbing others on the Jersey Shore. The incident, which occurred back in July, unfolded when Snooki stumbled around drunk on the beach while the "Jersey Shore" cameras were rolling.
Snooki was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and creating a public nuisance. A prosecutor in the case also smacked Snooki with a charge of being an annoying pest.
With me right now from Hollywood, Marc Malkin, who is a communist for "E! Online." And in New York, Midwin Charles, who is a legal contributor with "In Session" on our sister network, Tru TV.
Marc, Midwin, I`ve got to say Snooki looked rather subdued today. She arrived in that courtroom sans her trademark "Jersey Shore" pouf. She was even dressed, dare I say it, conservatively. But the judge still slammed her. Watch what he told her.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: In this matter, I have concerns about how much of this episode was scripted by your show or how much was actions of your own initiative. I mean, if this was scripted, only you can determine if it`s worth trading your dignity for a paycheck.
POLIZZI: It was not scripted, sir.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: If this was your idea of having a good time, it appears your recent celebrity has apparently affected your judgment in this matter.
Seaside Heights is a town that invites people to have a good time. We`re a tourism town. We want people to come down and have fun, but not at the expense of others.
Your actions - I don`t know - you seem to be acting like a Lindsay Lohan wannabe in this matter. Going through life rude, profane, obnoxious and self-indulgent is not the way you want to live your life.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: The judge slapped Snooki with a $500 fine, two days of community service, one of which she received a day of credit for, for her work with the Popcorn Park Zoo. And the judge dismissed the other charges, including being an annoying pest.
Midwin, I think Snooki should be thanking her lucky stars today. She got off pretty easy, it seems to me. Do you agree?
MIDWIN CHARLES, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION" ON TRU TV: Well, I do. But you know, this is typical of a lot of these types of cases where those kinds of charges get dismissed.
But she`s lucky because now, she doesn`t have a criminal record, because the disorderly conduct charge was a criminal charge, whereas the others are just a violation of an ordinance. So, she is lucky in that regard.
But I think this judge is basically saying that he`s not feeling "Jersey Shore" because going through life rude and indignant and narcissistic, all the things he defined, that is the definition of "The Jersey Shore."
ANDERSON: Yes, I - I doubt he watches that reality show, though. But you guys, before the judge made his decision today, Snooki did apologize for her bad behavior. Watch what she said.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
POLIZZI: I would definitely like to apologize to the Seaside cops. When I saw what happened and everyone told me what happened - very embarrassed. This is not like me. I`ve never been in this situation before. So, I definitely would like to apologize to anybody that I hurt.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: She says she was very embarrassed. Marc, I guess she doesn`t think stumbling around drunk on "The Jersey Shore" reality show is as embarrassing as stumbling around on a public beach. Is there a big difference here?
MARC MALKIN, COLUMNIST, "E! ONLINE": There is no difference. This is typical Snooki behavior. This time, she got caught by the cops. The cops didn`t like it.
But listen, if you go to the Jersey Shore, this kind of behavior is everywhere. Snooki is not alone. I think this judge went just way too far, the way he was just, you know, went after her. I think he was just - I don`t know. I just think he was grandstanding.
ANDERSON: A.J., do you think the judge went way too far here? Or do you think Snooki got off easy?
HAMMER: Well, I disagree with Marc. I thought the judge was terrific. I mean, there`s your reality show right there because he was playing it pretty straight. But he`s handing down this lesson in morality.
You know, as far as did she get off easy on this thing, look, I`m against capital punishment, so I suppose I`m happy she didn`t get the chair for this. But the truth is, to hear this judge saying, you know, "This is no way to go through life," I just thought it was absolutely brilliant. But it was even better to hear her saying "I`ve never done anything like this before." Right.
ANDERSON: Yes, it was. It was classic. But I was happy to see her apologize. OK, from one annoying charge to another today, Snooki isn`t the only star who is annoying a judge today.
It`s just one of the stories making news in "The Buzz" today. A judge is calling "Desperate Housewives" star, Nicollette Sheridan`s lawsuit annoying. Also some closure today in Kirsten Dunst`s purse snatching drama. And a Mad Mel cover-up? That`s what a sheriff`s deputy is charging today.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over): A Mad Mel cover-up? The sheriff`s deputy who arrested Mel Gibson in 2006 for suspicion of DUI says his bosses tried to cover up Gibson`s anti-Semitic rant that made him infamous.
Deputy James Mee just sued the County of Los Angeles, claiming he was discriminated against for complaining about preferential treatment given to Gibson after his arrest. The sheriff`s department denies the allegations and says an internal affairs report concluded there was no cover-up.
Kirsten Dunst purse-snatching drama. A man convicted of stealing Kirsten Dunst`s $2,000 purse in 2007 is heading to the slammer for four years. James Jimenez got the stiff sentence after being convicted of multiple thefts, including ransacking Dunst`s New York City hotel room and stealing her purse.
Desperately annoying lawsuit. A judge called "Desperate Housewives" star Nicollette Sheridan`s $20 million wrongful termination lawsuit annoying. Despite the judge`s feelings, she denied ABC`s request to throw out Sheridan`s claims. It`s a win for the actress, who claims ABC fired her for complaining about series creator, Marc Cherry.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Yes. So Midwin, right off to you for this. Even though the judge calls Nicollette Sheridan annoying, that in no way means that this thing is over.
CHARLES: Oh, no.
HAMMER: And really, is there any reason she still couldn`t win this $20 million lawsuit against Marc Cherry?
CHARLES: Well, it`s possible. Because now that she has survived what`s called a motion to dismiss, the case will proceed to what`s called discovery.
Witnesses will be deposed under oath. There`s going to be evidence entered and all kinds of things to find out whether, in fact, her allegations are true. It`s a long road from here on out to the end. And I bet you we`ll be hearing about settlement talks pretty soon.
HAMMER: Well, some of the other witnesses could be some of the "Desperate Housewives" stars. And they have been openly supporting their boss, Marc Cherry.
Marc Malkin, to you, do you think going after her old boss like this really could be a career killer for Nicollette? He was the one who put her back on the Hollywood map after all.
MALKIN: Yes. I think everyone was surprised when she did, you know, go ahead with this lawsuit. But I am looking forward to Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria and Felicity Huffman all getting on that stand. It will be soap opera-esque. It will be fun.
HAMMER: It will be fantastic. I don`t think it will happen. I`m betting they`ll settle long before all the "Desperate Housewives" tried out on to the stand. Marc Malkin, Midwin Charles, thanks.
ANDERSON: I`m going to move now to the big beef with Lady Gaga`s latest outrageous outfit. Check this out. It`s the lady posing in raw meat. Yes, it`s the Gaga beef bombshell that everybody is talking about. And today, Lady Gaga is getting grilled.
"Sixteen and Pregnant," "Teen Moms" - the brand-new controversy today about teen mom reality shows. Are they sending a terrible message?
And it`s the hottest accessory out right now. Did you see this? It`s eyelashes for your car.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MOOS (voice-over): CarLashes, the latest automotive accessory. Flexible plastic lashes you attach above your headlights - $24.99 a pair.

ANDERSON: What`s next? A little something for the junk in the trunk? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
HAMMER: Time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: N.Y. officials deny parole for John Lennon`s killer, Mark David Chapman. Carrie Underwood is now the new spokesperson for Olay skin care.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Well, there`s a brand-new beef with Lady Gaga today. Did you see this? It`s the Lady in meat. That`s right, Lady Gaga`s got beef strategically placed all over her body. Famed fashion photographer Terry Richardson snapped Gaga covered in meat for the cover of "Vogue" in Japan.
Well, now, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has got a real beef with Gaga. A PETA spokesperson tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT this, "Lady Gaga`s job is to do outlandish things and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body."
Direct quote right there. Is there anything left for Lady Gaga to wear that`s not going to generate controversy? You know, I`m thinking, pretty soon she`s going to be reduced to wearing actual clothes, Brooke, to shock people.
ANDERSON: What?
HAMMER: I can`t imagine that would ever happen though. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with a SHOWBIZ reality check, teen mom edition.
ANDERSON: Yes. MTV`s "Teen Mom" is a reality TV sensation. It`s one of the biggest guilty pleasure shows on television right now. Take a look.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I don`t speak to my mom. It`s pretty much Farrah`s on her own.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I decided to go with the GED.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I don`t know how to do this. I just can`t remember.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I failed all of it.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The state of Michigan made me go to rehab.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Is that why you didn`t want to give your (EXPLETIVE DELETED) baby up for adoption? Get out of my (EXPLETIVE DELETED) face.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: But there is an explosive new "Teen Mom" controversy today. "The Teen Mom" cast has taken over celebrity magazines, pushing the likes of Brangelina right off the covers with juicy details about their personal lives. But is that right? It`s a SHOWBIZ great debate.
Right now, in New York, is Tanika Ray. She is an entertainment journalist. And in Hollywood is Wendy Walsh. She is an author and TV host.
Wendy, Tanika, my mouth just dropped wide open when SHOWBIZ TONIGHT got an advanced look today at the upcoming issue of "People" magazine and "Us Weekly" magazine with stars of "Teen Mom" on the cover.
There they are. They`re bumping the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Britney Spears into the itty bitty pictures in the corner, which leads to our flashpoint - are teen mom reality shows sending a terrible message by doing this whole star thing on the covers of these celebrity magazines? Wendy, off to you first. What do you think?
WENDY WALSH, TV HOST AND AUTHOR: I think they are. They`re glamorizing teen pregnancy. And, you know, for the first time in 10 years, Brooke, teen pregnancy rates were going down. Now, they`re going up again.
And I think even though they`re trying to show the struggles of these teenagers, the truth is the burden falls on the grandparents. And it is glamorizing it when you put them on the cover of magazines.
ANDERSON: Well, I think the magazine may be glamorizing it. But I don`t think the show glamorizes it, because it really spotlights the harsh realities that these teen mothers are facing.
WALSH: But teenagers are looking at it and going, "Wow, that`s how I get on TV? Cool."
ANDERSON: I hope not. Tanika, that show, every episode, it seems like pretty good birth control to me.
RAY: Absolutely.
ANDERSON: But I agree that the covers of these magazines are glamorizing it in a way.
RAY: Yes. That`s where they send a mixed message. You know, when it comes down to it - I`ve seen that show once or twice, and I`m like, "Oh, my god. I`m never having a baby. It looks awful."
These children`s lives look just hopeless, and just, really, how do you recover from that? So I would think that`s the best form of birth control. But the fact that they are on star celebrity magazines is really confusing.
But then again, maybe they`re promoting a new season. Maybe their ratings slipped and they were trying to use the PR machine to pump it back up.
Whatever it is, it should not be glamorized and I think they kind of had a misstep there. We do not want to look at them like Angelina Jolie.
ANDERSON: Yes. Even though the content of the article may be as heartbreaking as the show is, in a way, to see them as cover stars like this. I agree, it kind of sends a confusing message.
And, you guys, this teen mom debate also caught fire today on our Facebook wall. The last I checked, hundreds of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook fans weighed in on this, including Laura C, who said, "My 14-year-old daughter told me those shows give her nightmares and that they`ve scared her into waiting until she`s married to have sex." OK, Wendy -
WALSH: Well good.
ANDERSON: That proves to me - I know. Great, Laura C. Great for your daughter. That proves to me that the shows, in and of themselves, aren`t sending a terrible message, because reality and responsibility hit these girls like a ton of bricks.
WALSH: Right. But keep in mind, people watch Snooki, too, and say, "I can`t wait until I`m old enough to go to a club," right? "I`ll get on TV that way by being bad. Maybe this is a way I`ll get attention."
Remember, teens love to rebel. And sometimes, the way they want to rebel is, "Hey, if I can get a reality show by getting pregnant when I`m 15" -
(CROSS TALK)
RAY: Don`t do it!
ANDERSON: They`re facing a ton of hardships, emotionally, financially. I will not even talk about those girls` baby daddies because they are not even helping out. My gosh.
OK. But we`ve got to go from this to the most famous teen mother in the nation, Bristol Palin. Bristol has officially traded Wasilla for Hollywood. And today, we are getting our very first look at Bristol getting ready for "Dancing with the Stars."
Listen, here`s what I think. She`s doing what she needs to do to take care of her child. She`s getting paid to do the show. I get that. But Tanika, some say that Bristol is sending a bad message here, cashing in on her teen pregnancy.
RAY: Absolutely. 100 percent. But her mom was trying to cash in on that during the election and now her daughter is just taking the reins. Really, now, that`s glamorizing teen pregnancy.
When it comes down to it, yes, I understand she has to take care of her kid. It is a great way for her to make a bunch of money real fast. But what is she going to do afterwards? Is she going to get her own talk show like her mom? Is she going to then be walking down red carpets at the Emmys? Where does it stop? I just feel like it`s a little ridiculous.
ANDERSON: Yes, when does it stop? I have a feeling that The Situation is going to be getting Tanika Ray`s vote on "Dancing with the Stars."
RAY: My boy, yes.
ANDERSON: Wendy Walsh, Tanika Ray, we`ve got no doubt how you ladies feel about this explosive teen mom debate. But now, we want to hear from you guys at home, our viewers. Vote in our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll - "Teen mom Reality Shows: Are they sending a terrible message?" CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. You can E-mail us at showbiztonight@cnn.com.
HAMMER: The countdown is on to the big premiere of "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps." It`s been 23 years since the original "Wall Street," Brooke. And so many people can`t wait for this thing to open.
ANDERSON: Yes, A.J. It`s really amazing to see the buzz that this film is getting today. I think the "Wall Street" sequel has "hit" written all over it.
HAMMER: Well, Michael Douglas won an Oscar for his excellent performance as greedy Gordon Gekko in the original. Today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT goes one- on-one with the stars of the new "Wall Street."
I just sat down with Michael Douglas` co-star, Josh Brolin, this afternoon. Josh has known Michael for a long time and he shared with me his personal reflections about working with Michael, on this film, and talked about Michael`s incredible strength as he battles stage four throat cancer, which was just diagnosed about a month ago.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JOSH BROLIN, ACTOR: It`s the cultivation of that personality, or that trait of his that`s allowed him to deal with what he`s dealing with right now, I think, in the most inspiring way.
You know, I mean, he`s getting ready to do the "Stand Up for Cancer" thing. He`s put himself out there. He doesn`t know the result of this. Nobody does. And so, there must be an incredible vulnerability that he`s experiencing right now.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" opens nationwide, September 24th.
ANDERSON: It`s the red hot accessory that everybody is trying to get their hands on right now - eyelashes for your car.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MOOS (on camera): Would you put lashes on your car?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, I would. It`s going to look girly.
MOOS (voice-over): CarLashes are aimed at women, not men.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: BMW. Oh, please. You`re messing up the car.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
HAMMER: Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: "Clean House" star Niecy Nash reveals she is now engaged. Enrique Iglesias, Nelly Furtado among this year`s Latin Grammy nominees.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: We all know people love their cars. For a lot of people, it`s a way to express how they feel. Even more spend thousands of dollars just to make sure their cars run well and look even better.
Well, now, I`m here to tell you the latest auto accessory is causing quite a stir and raising a whole lot of eyebrows, too. Here`s CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Careful, when you go through the car wash, that you don`t scrub off your car`s eyelashes? CarLashes, the latest automotive accessory, flexible plastic lashes you attach above your headlights, $24.99 a pair.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It`s adorable and very whimsical, but I don`t know that I would put it on my car.
MOOS (on camera): Would you put lashes on your car?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, I would. It`s going to look girly.
MOOS (voice-over): CarLashes are aimed at women, not men.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: BMW, oh, please. You`re messing up the car.
MOOS: But on a pink caddy? CarLashes are the brainchild of a Utah couple, Robert Small and his wife, Dottie.
DOTTIE SMALL, CARLASHES CO-CREATOR: They really do spread joy in the world.
MOOS: Dottie dreamed up a second accessory - crystal eye liner. But not everyone is seeing rainbows.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Unnecessary. A little - might appeal to my children.
MOOS: Like the Pixar movie "Cars," or a Disney animation.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Isn`t she a beauty?
MOOS: Creator Robert Small says...
ROBERT SMALL, CARLASHES CO-CREATOR: I always thought cars had personalities, and the headlights looked like eyes.
MOOS: They had friends like this one test market their CarLashes.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I m getting the most attention I`ve ever got in my whole life. It`s bloody hilarious.
MOOS: As for whether fake eyelashes -
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And then press the ends in.
MOOS: Or CarLashes are easier to put on?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: CarLashes.
MOOS: It takes about 15 minutes. You attach them with automotive trim tape that comes with the lashes.
(on camera): Unlike fake eyelashes, CarLashes can even help you park by providing a mark so you know where the end of the car is.
(voice-over): CarLashes already have a male competitor, the Carstache. OK, maybe you`ll never see CarLashes on Danica Patrick`s racecar or the presidential limousine. But Robert and Dottie have sold almost 2,000 CarLashes since June and have ordered another 10,000.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are they just cute or are they functional, too?
MOOS (on camera): Well, what would you like them to do?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I thought they were little windshield wipers that would go bat their eyelashes as they cleaned.
MOOS (voice-over): Dottie says men may not put CarLashes on their cars, but they like seeing women driving by with them.
D. SMALL: They feel like they`re being flirted with a little bit when they see them.
MOOS: Will CarLashes give the guys whiplash? Put a little hussy in your headlights.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Brooke, I don`t know. I`m starting to kind of (INAUDIBLE). Do you think they make them for my pinto?
ANDERSON: They might. I can`t see you driving that. And I can`t see you using eyelashes on your car. They`re cute though.
HAMMER: I also have a Hugo Turbo(ph). Many thanks to CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT for that eye-opening report. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Remember, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is now live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday.
HAMMER: And TV`s most-provocative TV entertainment news show at 11:00 a.m. Eastern and Pacific.
