ANDERSON: Hi, there. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today, Ellen`s suicide outrage. Ellen DeGeneres today joined the nation in expressing her absolute fury over the suicide of a college student.
The student killed himself after his roommates secretly streamed video of him live online kissing another man. The teen suicide has ignited coast-to-coast outrage and Ellen is leading the charge today. She is devastated by what happened to that student. And Ellen is declaring that teenage bullying is now a national epidemic.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DEGENERES: Things will get easier, people`s minds will change and you should - you should be alive to see it.
ANDERSON: An emotional Ellen DeGeneres appeared to choke up today on her talk show sharing her heartbreak over the shocking suicide of a Rutgers University student who was outed live online in an incredibly cruel prank.
DEGENERES: I am devastated over the death of 18-year-old Tyler Clementi.
ANDERSON: Tyler Clementi killed himself by jumping off New York`s George Washington bridge just days after a secret recording of him in a sexual encounter of a man in his dorm room was streamed online.
Two of his dorm mates, one of them his roommate, are charged with secretly recording Clementi`s encounter and posting the video online. And on her show today, it is clear Ellen is taking the teen`s suicide personally.
DEGENERES: Tyler was a bright student at Rutgers University whose life was senselessly cut short. He was outed as being gay on the Internet and he killed himself. Something must be done.
ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that this is an issue that`s close to Ellen`s heart. Ever since she came out back in 1997, she`s been an outspoken defender of teens tormented because they`re gay.
And on her show today Ellen said Tyler is far from the only teen who has killed himself recently after suffering cruelty from his peers.
DEGENERES: This month alone, there has been a shocking number of news stories about teen who is have been teased, been bullied and then committed suicide, like 13-year-old Seth Walsh in Tehachapi, California, 13-year-old Asher Brown, in Cypress, Texas and 15-year-old Billy Lucas in Greensburg, Indiana.
One life lost in this senseless way is tragic. Four lives lost is a crisis. And these are just the stories we hear about. How many other teens have we lost? How many others are suffering in silence?
Being a teenager and figuring out who you are is hard enough without someone attacking you. My heart is breaking for their families, for their friends and for our society that continues to let this happen. These kids needed us and we have an obligation to change this.
ANDERSON: Ellen`s not the only daytime talk show host appalled by the suicide of Tyler Clementi. So is Dr. Phil.
PHIL MCGRAW, HOST, "DR. PHIL": You know, I think the problem is that they`re losing control in that they don`t get to announce what they want to announce when they want to do it if somebody outs them so cruelly and so brutally.
ANDERSON: Dr. Phil expressed his outrage last night to Anderson Cooper on CNN`s "A.C. 360." Dr. Phil says being outed by a Web video allegedly shot by dorm mates would be too much for anyone to handle.
MCGRAW: You cannot un-ring this bell. Digitally, it`s out there, it can never go away. Every job interview, this could be pulled up. Every application to another school, this could be pulled up.
And so this person just feels like, "You know what? I am damaged irreparably and forever." And that`s the kind of desperation that leads to an act of suicide.
ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the Internet blogosphere is burning up today with outrage over the student suicide, including openly- gay celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton, who tells MTV news, "I`m just beyond sad - I`m crushed."
And today, on her show, Ellen told the world to put an end to these senseless tragedies.
DEGENERES: There are messages everywhere that validate this kind of bullying and taunting, and we have to make it stop. We can`t let intolerance and ignorance take another kid`s life.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: Good for Ellen. Ellen clearly saying what so many people are thinking, which leads to today`s "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" - will Ellen`s outrage make a difference.
Right now, in Hollywood, Pat Lalama, who is an investigative journalist. And right now, in New York, Janell Snowden, who is a host from "VH1 News."
OK. Ellen called Tyler`s death part of an epidemic of bullying and says she knows what it feels like to be different and to feel alone. I think Ellen can make a difference. Pat, to the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint," do you think Ellen is going to make a difference here?
PAT LALAMA, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: Absolutely. This is where celebrities can really use the power and influence that they have to make a difference. These young people feel so, so helpless. They don`t feel like they can call someone and say, "Help me."
This is the opportunity for celebrities to make that happen. And I`d also like to see the criminal justice system put bullying under the umbrella of involuntary manslaughter, the reckless behavior that leads to the death or injury of someone.
This fits. I know a lot of people in the criminal justice system may not agree with me. I say do it.
ANDERSON: Absolutely. People are dying because of bullying, not just because of what happened with Tyler specifically but for so many reasons. People are cruel. People are evil.
Janell, to the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint," will Ellen`s outrage make a difference?
JANELL SNOWDEN, HOST, "VH1 NEWS": It absolutely will. Ellen has a huge voice, not just in daytime TV but in all of Hollywood. I think it was very brave of her to make it such an important part of her show to get across such a touching message and such an urgent message.
She`s right. It has become an epidemic and we have to do something about it. And what better person to step into the forefront and bring attention to it than Ellen, who has obviously struggled with her coming out and the ratings she suffered.
And then, now, look at her. I mean, because she exists, now, I`m sure there are a lot of young gay and lesbian kids who say, "I can do like Ellen has done," who probably didn`t think that they could before her.
ANDERSON: It absolutely comes from the heart with Ellen. She`s really deeply affected by this death as so many of us are.
OK. I`ve got to move now to more big news breaking today - Oprah`s biggest fears. Oprah has fears? Yes, she does. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT obtained a dramatic new interview today that Oprah did with "Fortune" magazine. In it, she revealed her darkest fears about launching her upcoming Oprah Winfrey Network.
For one, she reveals that when she heard that Michael Jackson was once paralyzed with fear that he could never top his "Thriller" album in 1982, she thought that`s exactly the kind of fear that she had.
Here`s what she said, "All the bells went off. This is why I lived in fear about this network. I kept thinking I have to repeat the 25-year phenomenon of `The Oprah Show.` I don`t want to be Michael Jackson."
Despite the fact that "Fortune" named Oprah the sixth most powerful woman, I get that she`s human answered and I think that this is one of the many, many, many reasons we love Oprah Winfrey.
But Pat, do you think people are going to be shocked to hear that Oprah was frozen with fear?
LALAMA: No, no, no, no. Not at all, because here`s the deal with Oprah. Huge celebrity. Magnanimous celebrity. Highly dignified. Brilliant as all get out, but so, so relatable.
There isn`t a woman in America who doesn`t just see herself a little bit of Oprah - a little bit of Oprah in her. Yes, yes, she`s been so real. And that`s why we love her on top of every other quality she`s got.
ANDERSON: Yes. She`s got every reason in the world to be confident and here she is admitting -
LALAMA: She`s like us.
ANDERSON: Yes. I have fears as well. Yes, absolutely. We love Oprah. And another startling revelation in the new Oprah interview out today has to do with Rosie O`Donnell. The very unpredictable Rosie will be launching a show on Oprah`s network.
And Oprah reveals she paid a little visit to Rosie`s house for one serious pep talk. Here is how Oprah described it, "Rosie said, `I know you`re here to assess how crazy I am.` I said, `Basically, yes. I`m doing a crazy check.`"
She goes on to say that she witnessed Rosie was a great mom. But she warned Rosie, "If you have an issue that`s causing a problem, speak to me woman to woman so that it does not become a worldwide issue."
Janell, given Rosie`s past, I think Oprah has every reason in the world to be a little concerned that Rosie might do something outrageous, might be doing something controversial in the future. But if anybody can put Rosie in her place, it`s Oprah, isn`t it?
JANELL SNOWDEN, HOST, "VH1 NEWS": It`s Oprah. Yes, absolutely. I love that she said, "Come to me first. Don`t go on national airwaves - international airwaves and address the problem. Come to me and I will help you solve it. I am Queen Oprah. I will make it better.
ANDERSON: I will solve your problem.
LALAMA: But you know, Janell - but the other thing is she`s also smart enough to get someone like Rosie because she`s knows (UNINTELLIGIBLE).
(CROSS TALK)
ANDERSON: That`s right. She knows she will bring her viewers. Yes. Pat Lalama, Janell Snowden, we`ll leave it there. Thanks, ladies.
All right. Moving on today, the brand new Snooki smack down - Snooki versus Angelina.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I want you all to know that I can`t stand any of you. Fake (EXPLETIVE DELETED) - all of you!
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: OK. Tell me who this is.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Oh, yes. This is the stuff. This is the stuff.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: "Jersey Shore" brawl caught on tape. All this fighting on the show is starting to feel so last season.
Remember the Salahis? They were formerly known as White House party crashers. Well, I can tell you today they are threatening to sue anybody who called them that.
The race for the White House in 2012 is already off and running today. The naked cowboy for president?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
(SINGING)
JEANNE MOOS, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: If you don`t think he`s serious, check out his new presidential look.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`ve got to be honest. You are the naked cowboy still, right?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hey, how you doing?
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: I got it. The naked cowboy`s platform could be tidy whiteys for everyone? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Mel Gibson ordered to increase child support payments to ex, Oksana, from $5,000 to $20,000 a month. Lady Gaga`s album, "The Fame," has been on the Billboard 200 album chart for 100 weeks.
ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
The Salahis, the couple formerly known as the White House party crashers are threatening a big lawsuit today. Some great news today for Martina Navratilova in her battle with cancer. And there`s a big shocker - you may not see Heidi Klum in lingerie anymore. It`s all making big news in "The Buzz" today.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: Heidi Klum angel no more. Klum just revealed she`s finally shedding her wings as the face of Victoria`s Secret after more than 10 years. Heidi says she`s walking away from the lingerie company to focus on her other projects.
She told "People" magazine, "All good things have to come to an end. I will always love Victoria and never tell her secrets."
Martina is cancer free. Six months after Martina Navratilova shocked the world with the news she had breast cancer, she`s now revealing she`s cancer free.
The tennis legend tells "People" magazine she has successfully completed her treatment, quote, "I feel as good as new. I have an excellent prognosis and I`m really doing well."
The Salahis threaten to sue. Tareq and Michaele Salahi are reportedly threatening their co-stars on "The Real Housewives of D.C." with legal action. The couple accused of crashing the White House state dinner will apparently sue if anyone calls them the White House party crashers. The news comes just as we`re getting our first look at the infamous party incident on the show.
TAREQ SALAHI, MICHAELE SALAHI`S HUSBAND: We don`t want to be apart. Together, as a team, we are unstoppable.
HAMMER: TMZ says the Salahis claim they`ve been cleared and to call them crashers is defamatory. Do we can now call them "the people who wouldn`t be famous if they hadn`t been called the White House party crashers."
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: Yes, exactly. This just boggles my mind. The Salahis are saying they will sue if they are called White House party crashers because they did no such thing. Well, I think a few people in the secret service might disagree.
Right now in New York is comedian Chuck Nice. Chuck, I don`t get why Michaele and Tareq Salahi are complaining about being called the White House party crashers. Nobody would even know who these people are if they didn`t make headlines around the world after they showed up uninvited to a White House state dinner, right?
CHUCK NICE, COMEDIAN: Yes, talk about biting the uninvited hand that feeds you. These people are out of their minds as far as I`m concerned. You know, if you - look, we walk like ducks. We talk like ducks.
Clearly, we are gazelles and we will sue you if you call us ducks. I mean, that`s pretty much what they`re saying. I have a couple other things that we might want to call them instead of party crashers, you know.
ANDERSON: Let`s hear them.
NICE: How about soulless, vapid social climbers. Would that work for them instead? You know, I think we should go with that. But then again, I don`t want to get sued. Maybe we should call them -
ANDERSON: Watch out.
NICE: Yes. You know, honestly, I could end up getting sued, but I don`t care. I have nothing. I`m broke. So come bring it on, Salahis.
ANDERSON: Chuck, they might take to you court over all that. Well, you know, Chuck, that their antics leading up to the state dinner with all caught on tape by Bravo`s cameras.
NICE: That`s right.
ANDERSON: For two episodes of "Real Housewives" of D.C. Last night`s episode focused on the Salahis getting ready for the big night and admitting they did not have a formal invitation to the state dinner.
Next week, on the show`s finale, Tareq Salahi says it`s ludicrous that people would think that they crashed the White House party. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
T. SALAHI: The gossip columnists in "The Washington Post" suggested Michaele and I may have snuck in. Oh, come on. It`s so crazy and ridiculous to suggest that. I mean, it`s actually disrespectful to - really to the secret service and the White House. But of course, you know, that would never happen at the White House.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Chuck, very quickly, are they just completely delusional?
NICE: Yes. Honestly, they are beyond delusional. It would be like me suing somebody for calling me a black man, you know? That`s basically what they`re doing. I will not be known as an African-American or a black man!
ANDERSON: That`s right.
NICE: From now on, I want to be known as that totally awesome dude. And if you call me anything else, I`ll sue you.
ANDERSON: Well, you are one totally awesome black dude. Chuck Nice, thanks so much. Good to see you.
NICE: Thank you, Brooke.
ANDERSON: All right. What is this, Paris Hilton getting a reality show today? She pleads guilty to cocaine possession. She and her boyfriend alleged live run over a paparazzo. And somebody says here`s a great idea, let`s give her a show again. Are you kidding me?
Another dancing diss today. Did "Dancing with the Stars" host, Tom Bergeron, just diss Michael Bolton? You know, Michael`s serious about the way he got kicked off the show.
And will SHOWBIZ TONIGHT name Michael Bolton the most provocative celebrity of the week? How about host Sarah Murdoch for naming the wrong "Australia`s Next Top Model" winner live on TV? Or will it be Lindsay Lohan for checking herself into rehab again? Our pick and your vote just minutes away. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

ANDERSON: An absolutely devastating loss in the world of TV today. Stephen J. Cannell, the creator of "The Greatest American Hero," "The A Team," and so many other great shows, dead today at the age of 69.
Major loss. Stephen J. Cannell was one of the most respected writer/producers in the business. He created or co-created more than 40 shows. Just look at what he worked on - "The A-Team," "The Rockford Files," "Greatest American Hero," "21 Jump Street," "Hunter," "The Commish." So many more.
He also recently had a role on ABC`s "Castle." We can`t forget his show, "Wise Guy." And listen to this - Cannell amazing overcame severe dyslexia before his blockbuster successes. He passed away at his home in Pasadena California from complications associated with melanoma.
His family tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he was surrounded by loved ones. Stephen leaves behind his wife, Marcia, of 46 years, three kids, three grand kids. He was a great guy. Stephen J. Cannell, 69 years old.
OK. As soon as we told you about "Jersey Shore" star Snooki writing a book, our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall started lighting up. In fact, we had to spray tan the page.
Erika S. says that she will be reading, "I don`t read much, but I`m sure it would be funny. Stop being haters. Hey, if you could make money off of writing a book, wouldn`t you?"
But Christina M. doesn`t think the Snook book will be an Oprah book club pick any time soon, "Target audience would be orange midget aliens." OK.
And now, the SHOWBIZ lineup. Here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
Snooki in a brand new Snooki smackdown today with Angelina. It`s an all-out "Jersey Shore" brawl caught on tape.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.
(MUSIC)
ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Snooki smackdown.
A brand-new "Jersey Shore" smackdown caught on tape. This time, it`s Snooki versus her house mate. Fists flying, hair extensions in peril - what the heck is going on?
There`s also a brand-new diss for Michael Bolton. Now, the host for "Dancing with the Stars" is delivering his own slam of Bolton`s dancing disaster.
And I just cannot believe the news today that Paris Hilton is getting her very own reality TV show, this not too long after a judge has just put her on probation for one year as a result of her cocaine arrest in Vegas. Is Paris being rewarded for bad behavior?
With me right now in Hollywood, Pat Lalama who is an investigative journalist. From New York, Chuck Nice who is a comedian.
Let`s begin, guys, with the brand-new Snooki smackdown on "Jersey Shore" last night. It all began when Snooki accused her house mate, Angelina, of going after what Snooki calls her sloppy seconds. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
NICOLE "SNOOKI" POLIZZI, REALITY TV STAR, "JERSEY SHORE": After I had sex with Vinny, you had sex with Vinny.
ANGELINA PIVARNICK, REALITY TV STAR, "JERSEY SHORE": I don`t want your sloppy seconds.
POLIZZI: Obviously, you do. You (EXPLETIVE DELETED) Vinny.
PIVARNICK: No, no. You just brought home Alex. Did you hook up with him tonight? Probably. Do I care? No. It doesn`t matter to me.
POLIZZI: This is why nobody likes you because you keep talking (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
PIVARNICK: Doesn`t matter.
POLIZZI: Shut the (EXPLETIVE DELETED) up.
PIVARNICK: OK. Tell me who this is.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Oh, yes. This is the stuff. This is the stuff.
(MUSIC)
PIVARNICK: Don`t do this to me right now. (UNINTELLIGIBLE) I`m going to leave this house right now.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: And it got better, if you can believe it. The Situation moved the coffee table out of the way so the girls could continue fighting. I get that some people like to watch this show. It`s a guilty pleasure.
But seeing these two grown women - well, maybe I shouldn`t call them women, they`re acting like children pummeling each other like that when everybody stands around cheering.
Pat, I was wondering if our viewers, our friends at home could hear our collective eye rolls while we were playing that video. Have they just really gone off the deep end here?
LALAMA: OK. In the words of my great deceased grandmother, "Madonna, mia. What a bunch of junk." I`ve got to tell you something. Anybody out there in viewer land that thinks this stuff is real, call me. We`re going to go see a little doctor you need to talk to.
It`s contrived, contrived, contrived. That`s point number one. Point number two, why are we watching this junk? Read a book. Go to the movies. Do some charity. Oh, my god, help us.
ANDERSON: Chuck, why do people watch the junk? I mean, it has become just trash.
NICE: It is trash. I was hoping that Snooki and Angelina would actually fight to the death and then somehow come back from the dead and kill the rest of the cast members so we could be done with this crap forever. It`s sickening.
ANDERSON: Maybe that will happen in the next season. It`s well on its way to (UNINTELLIGIBLE) the show.
NICE: That`s the next season. Yes, I`m writing for them now, you know. But the truth is -
LALAMA: As an Italian-American, I don`t claim them by the way, just so you know.
NICE: I don`t blame you, you know. I don`t think anyone`s claiming them, you know. Maybe there`s a society of rejects with blunt head injuries that want to actually claim these people as their own because they`re ridiculous.
ANDERSON: Yes.
NICE: And I`ve soon more real fights on the WWE. Come on.
ANDERSON: Yes. I know, I know. Let`s not give them any more air time right now, OK? Let`s move on now to the brand new "Dancing with the Stars" diss.
As we know, Michael Bolton was furious had he got kicked of the show because judge Bruno Tonioli slammed him big time saying his dance of the worst jive he`s ever seen on the show ever.
Bolton was ridiculed for crawling out of a dog house as part of his routine. I said that was his first mistake. And the host of "Dancing with the Stars," Tom Bergeron, just delivered yet another steaming diss over the dog house. Watch what he said last night on George Lopez` show, "Lopez Tonight" when he was asked why he thought Bolton got the boot.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
TOM BERGERON, CO-HOST, "DANCING WITH THE STARS": Well, I would just say don`t crawl out of a dog house. That`s kind of like putting a bull`s eye in your bone. But it was his dancing.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: OK, bad. Tom`s kind of rubbing salt in the wound. But I don`t think it`s too harsh because he signed up for a dancing competition knowing he could not dance.
LALAMA: OK. Let me just say this about this, OK? That guy needs to man up, get a spine and let me tell you, you know when he`s going to get his apology? When he apologizes to the great Percy Sledge for mangling "When a Man Loves a Woman."
That`s who should get with that whiny coyote voice of his. That`s when he gets his apology, when Percy Sledge gets his. (UNINTELLIGIBLE) know what I`m talking about.
(CROSS TALK)
ANDERSON: The Sledge version is incomparable. OK. And I can tell you that Bolton`s whining is not winning him a lot of new fans. We know Pat is not one.
Take a look at what we asked in the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll - "Michael Bolton Kicked Off `Dancing with the Stars`: Should he quit his whining?" The results in late today - a 93 percent say yes; only seven percent say no. Chuck, did they get it right?
NICE: Are you kidding me? Of course. I mean, you couldn`t get it more right. I`ve seen tumbling rocks with more grace than Michael Bolton. Are you kidding?
LALAMA: And rhythm.
NICE: There`s a mud slide in Mexico right now that is more graceful than Michael Bolton. I know this - this is basically ego run amuck.
LALAMA: Yes. Right.
NICE: I know the show is live so he can`t see himself dance while the show is on. But dude, get a DVR, OK?
ANDERSON: Yes.
NICE: It`s another house without mirrors. That`s what`s happening here.
ANDERSON: I know he put in a good effort. But come on. It`s Bruno`s job as a judge to tell you like it is. I`m sorry. They`re not going to promise to be nice.
And I can tell you that Michael Bolton is one of the nominees to be named SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s most provocative celebrity of the week. He`s up against "Australia`s Top Model" host, Sarah Murdoch for announcing the wrong winner on live TV. He`s up against Lindsay Lohan for checking herself into rehab again.
We`re going to be naming SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s most provocative celebrity of the week in just a moment. But first - oh, my goodness. I`ve got to move on to the news today that Paris Hilton is getting a reality show! It`s going to be on the Oxygen Network. I`m getting boos from Pat here.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT not only confirmed that this is really happening, but we received a press release that describes Paris as a model, singer, actress and entrepreneur. No mention of her being on probation as a result of her cocaine arrest.
It goes on to say that her docu-series will follow Paris as she enters the next stage of her life. Pat, I mean, it`s black and white. She`s being rewarded for bad behavior.
LALAMA: She sends out a press release. I send out a depressed release, OK? Because here`s the deal - I called her a doofus the last time.
ANDERSON: You did. I know.
LALAMA: I was sitting right here on this set. Today, I`m going to get in so much trouble for this. Network executives, doofuses. You can`t come up with anybody more interesting than this woman?
She`s a spoiled brat who is wasting space. She`s irrelevant. Why does she get a TV show? Go find somebody who is interesting.
ANDERSON: Yes. I don`t get it either. I do not get it. And listen to this - we also learned that Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen`s wife - remember Charlie got arrested for attacking her. Brooke is also going to be on the show, one of the co-stars. Chuck, are you going to be watching this?
NICE: Ah, you know, I`d rather snort cyanide than watch Paris Hilton do anything. I don`t understand how this woman keeps failing upward. She puts out a sex tape. They give her a reality show. She gets caught with cocaine. They give her another show.
I`m scared to see what happens when she commits murder. What are we going to make her, queen of the world?
ANDERSON: Let`s hope it doesn`t go that far.
NICE: Yes. I`m telling you.
ANDERSON: It is baffling to say the least. Chuck Nice, Pat Lalama, thank you both.
And now, we want to hear from you. It is our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll. It`s about Paris Hilton and her new TV show - is she being rewarded for bad behavior? Vote at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. E-mail us - showbiztonight@cnn.com.
I wonder how those results are going to come out. J. Lo`s Bennifer bombshell. Before Jennifer Lopez went Mrs. Marc Anthony, she was Ben Affleck`s main squeeze. J. Lo`s brand-new revelations today about the real reason she and Ben called it quits.
And I can tell you the race for the White House in 2012 is already off and running today. The naked cowboy for president?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MOOS: He wouldn`t be the first cowboy president.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What?
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Is he strip-o-crat or strip-publican? Not really sure. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Jennifer Lopez to produce new dramedy about Latina nannies. Katherine Heigl reveals how she balances work and being a new mom.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KATHERINE HEIGL, ACTRESS: I tried to focus but it was impossible. And I thought the more that I could kind of control my surroundings and environment and make sure that the baby, you know, had her perfect nap time and had her bottles and had the right things in her diaper bags and the right things in the trailer, that somehow this would all work out. This doesn`t work that way. This doesn`t work that way.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: We are just moments away from revealing SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s most provocative of the week. Will it be booted from "Dancing with the Stars" Michael Bolton? Bruno dissed his dancing and, now, Michael wants an apology.
Or will it be "Australia`s Next Top Model" host Sarah Murdoch? She announced the wrong winner on live TV. Whoops!
Or maybe Lindsay Lohan for checking herself into rehab again. We are moments away from the big reveal.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
Maybe we should have nominated this guy for most provocative of the week. This is going to blow your mind, the naked cowboy. You know, that long-haired, guitar-playing, just about naked guy in New York`s Time Square?
Thought he`s trading in his trademark tidy whiteys to run for president of the United States. Say what?
Here`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
MOOS (voice-over): Instead of running around in his underwear, he`s running for president.
(SINGING)
If you don`t think he`s serious, check out his new presidential look.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Dude, I`ve got to be honest, you are the naked cowboy still, right?
ROBERT BURKE, "NAKED COWBOY": Hey, hey, how you doing? Yes.
MOOS: Hard to believe that`s the half-naked tourist magnet of Times Square minus the hair.
BURKE: I`m going for president. Obama`s going down.
MOOS: Don`t let the underwear puns fool.
BURKE: I like to keep things brief.
MOOS: Robert Burke has a degree in political science from the University of Cincinnati. He wouldn`t be the first cowboy president.
BURKE: What?
MOOS: And he`s already run for mayor of New York.
(SINGING)
BURKE: If I can literally build a global brand with a pair of underwear, boots and hat, think what I can do for the city of New York.
Moos: What he did was drop out of the race, fed up with a red tape and a $250 fine he had to pay for failing to file a required form. Excepting his attire, he`s a conservative.
BURKE: Unapologetic commitment to our borders, our language and our culture. Wow.
MOOS: Confirmation that he`s running came on celebrity chasing TMZ, who scheduled a press conference. But when almost no one showed up, it was rescheduled, only they got the month wrong on the naked cowboy`s Web site and had to correct it.
(on camera) Back in the `08 campaign, there were designer Obama underwear, but no one`s ever actually run for president in their underwear. And his campaign manager says that the naked cowboy will not be campaigning in his undies.
(voice-over) At least no one will have to ask the naked cowboy this question -
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Is it boxers or briefs?
BILL CLINTON, FORMER UNITED STATES PRESIDENT: Usually briefs. I can`t believe she did that.
MOOS: Now, the guy who used to walk into a parking garage to change in his car and come out dressed in his tidy whiteys is hanging up his briefs at least while campaigning. Those for the naked cowboy -
BURKE: For real change.
MOOS: Have underwear.
(SINGING)
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: Oh, the naked cowboy for president? Pretty darn provocative. But even he did not make the cut today as SHOWBIZ TONIGHT names the most provocative celebrity of the week.
Hey, Charles, why don`t we bring in the nominees, shall we? Up first, Michael Bolton for demanding an apology from "Dancing with the Stars" judge, Bruno Tonioli.
Then there`s Sarah Murdoch, the host of "Australia`s Next Top Model." She announced the wrong winner on the show in the blunder down under. Or will we choose Lindsay Lohan for checking herself back into rehab?
Right now, in New York, Janell Snowden, who is a host for "VH1 News." Also, right now, in New York, Noelle Nikpour, who is a columnist for "South Florida Sun Sentinel."
OK. Janell, Noelle, we will name the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s most provocative celebrity of the week in just a moment.
But first we`ve got to show you who our viewers chose. We asked everybody to text their votes, also vote on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook fan page. Check it out. Lindsay Lohan won the text vote by a landslide with 50 percent of the votes. On Facebook fan page, Lindsay was also chosen with 27 percent of the vote. Janell, you`re up. Who are you naming most provocative celebrity of the week?
SNOWDEN: Lindsay is old news. How many times is she going to check into and out of rehab? If she stays, then, she`ll be the most provocative.
I am voting for Sarah Murdoch, because can you imagine what it`s like - the host`s worst nightmare ever. You announce the wrong winner -
ANDERSON: Yes.
SNOWDEN: The egg on the faces of those poor girls. That is out of control. Michael Bolton is just a sore loser, but that moment was so awkward. Every time I watch it, I`m like, oh, gosh, no. That`s terrible.
ANDERSON: I know. It hits me, too, Janell. I really felt badly for her. And you can see she felt nauseous, I think, about the whole thing.
(CROSS TALK)
ANDERSON: OK. It is time now - it`s the moment of decision. So without any further ado - the SHOWBIZ drum roll, please. It`s not Lindsay. Like Janell says, she`s old news.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is naming Michael Bolton as most provocative celebrity of the week. Noelle, do you agree?
NOELLE NIKPOUR, COLUMNIST, "SOUTH FLORIDA SUN SENTINEL": No, absolutely not. Listen, Lindsay Lohan is not only the most provocative celebrity of the week. It`s the most important celebrity of the week.
What she did is she made a decision on her own to get help and the help that she really, really needs. The only thing that I hope is she doesn`t write something provocative on her fingernail when she goes in.
ANDERSON: Or her Twitter page. So, ladies, we all disagree here. Janell, I`ve got to say Michael Bolton - what did he think was going to happen signing up for a dancing competition -
NIKPOUR: Exactly.
ANDERSON: with judges when he could not dance?
SNOWDEN: Yes, absolutely.
NIKPOUR: He`s a sore loser. That`s all it is.
SNOWDEN: Yes. If he couldn`t stand the heat, he should have gotten out of the kitchen.
ANDERSON: That`s right. Noelle Nikpour - or out of the dog house. There he goes. Noelle Nikpour, Janell Snowden, thank you both. Good to see you.
Let me tell you what Jennifer Lopez just said today about ex-fiance, Ben Affleck, puts her in the running for most provocative celebrity of the year. Jenny from the block is revealing brand-new details about why she and Ben split.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JENNIFER LOPEZ, ACTRESS AND SINGER: He didn`t leave me at the altar. But a few days before the wedding, we did call it off.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Oh. J. Lo`s juicy Bennifer bombshell today. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views. And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts in talks to play mom-daughter duo in new movie. Brand-new Dolce and Gabbana ads starring Madonna revealed today.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: Jennifer Garner kicks some major butt on ABC`s "Alias." And today, Jennifer is making an incredible new confession about her days as a secret agent on TV. Jennifer Garner, a great actress, a loving wife, loving mother. She is setting a fantastic example in Hollywood.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT just caught up with Mrs. Ben Affleck at "Variety" magazine`s "Power of Women" luncheon. Jennifer is certainly one powerful woman. And Jen tells us how her starring role literally changed her life.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JENNIFER GARNER, ACTRESS: When I started playing that character, Sydney, I did feel a difference just personally. I felt - I think because I was physically fighting as well as just playing somebody who was so powerful, it helped me kind of stand up a little straighter.
ANDERSON: Since "Alias," Jen has gone on to become a big movie star. I think she`s gets an A-plus for balancing a successful film career while raising two beautiful daughters with husband Ben Affleck.
All right. Speaking of Ben, remember when he was a tabloid target with that other Jen? Before Ben and Jennifer Garner, there was Ben and Jenny from the block. Jaws dropped when Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck first stepped out as the new Hollywood "it" couple back in 2002. People couldn`t get enough of Bennifer.
What was more shocking that bomb of a movie they did together, "Gigli." But the ultimate shocker came when they called it quits just days before their wedding. So what was the real deal?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
LOPEZ: He didn`t leave me at the altar, but a few days before the wedding, we did call it off. The pressures from the outside world plus what was going on within our relationship, which is personal and private - it was starting to come apart at the seams.
And even though we were trying to hold it together, it was slipping through our fingers. And I had to face that fact.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Well, both Ben and Jen seem to have really solid relationships now. Good for them.
On Thursday, we asked to you vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. Time for the astounding results. "Michael Bolton Kicked Off `Dancing with the Stars`: Should he quit his whining?" Ninety-three percent of you say yes. Only seven percent say no.
Here are some of the E-mails we got. Debbie from Florida thinks Michael deserves an apology, "I am so upset at ABC for allowing Bruno to treat Michael with such disrespect. There was no excuse for being so rude."
Yolanda from Texas says, "I guess Michael Bolton didn`t see a playback of himself dancing on the show. He was horrible. Bruno had every right to critique him as harshly as he did. That is his job." Yolanda, I agree.
And that`s the wrap for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you so much for watching. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is now live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday. We are still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week. That`s at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
