(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It was serious enough and I felt desperate enough that I wanted to end my own life.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Oksana`s kill claim. The very first interview out today with Mel Gibson`s ex about their personal war. Her stunning new allegation that Mel tried to kill her.
Sarah`s dancing shocker. Sarah Palin`s dramatic revelation today about "Dancing with the Stars." And it`s not about Bristol.
Caught on tape - Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore battle over privacy with the paparazzi.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re an actor, and I`m paparazzi, bro.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - do the Twitter-telling Ashton and Demi deserve privacy in public?
ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer, coming to you from New York City.
BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - star wars.
HAMMER: Yes. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT obtained today absolutely remarkable, very personal and very painful brand-new revelations from stars who have joined the all-out nationwide war that`s been launched against bullying.
I can tell you it is hard to remember anything that has struck such a chord with stars on such a personal level. And Ellen DeGeneres is the virtual general in this war.
Ellen, today, kicked off an extraordinary attempt to help kids who have become the target of mean, nasty, even life-threatening bullies, with one star even revealing today how he tried to kill himself. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with Hollywood`s all-out backlash against bullying.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over) Ellen DeGeneres is waging a war on bullying.
ELLEN DEGENERES, HOST, "ELLEN": We`re not here to make it a gay or straight issue, because bullying is bullying.
HAMMER: Ellen DeGeneres ramped up her war on bullying on her show today revealing a texting campaign to benefit the Trevor Project, a group devoted to ending suicide among troubled gay teens.
DEGENERES: I am devastated over the death of 18-year-old Tyler Clementi.
HAMMER: Ellen first led that charge against bullying last week, following the shocking suicide of Tyler Clementi. The 18-year-old Rutgers University student jumped off New York`s George Washington Bridge after a video was shown online of his romantic encounter with another man. Two of his dorm mates are accused of streaming the video.
DEGENERES: You can`t let intolerance and ignorance take another kid`s life.
HAMMER: Now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Ellen is not the only star on an anti-bullying crusade. Clementi`s death has inspired star after star, young and old, gay and straight, to drop their guarded celebrity facade and share their own painful experiences with bullying.
NICOLE "SNOOKI" POLIZZI, REALITY TV STAR, "JERSEY SHORE": I know their (INAUDIBLE) is louder than me.
HAMMER: Today, cast members from the MTV reality show, "Jersey Shore," took a break from their clubbing and fist-pumping to release a video for a campaign aimed the young bullying victims who are considering suicide.
"Jersey Shore`s" Vinny revealed that he knows the pain of bullying all too well.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
VINNY GUADAGNINO, REALITY TV STAR, "JERSEY SHORE": I know how it feels to be bullied and disrespected. So make sure you give love, receive love.
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS, ACTOR: For the love of Pete, there`s no need to harm yourself if something`s going bad.
HAMMER: Other stars like Neil Patrick Harris and "Glee`s" Chris Colfer are also appearing in new public service announcements.
CHRIS COLFER, ACTOR: I know what it`s like to be bullied and teased every single day.
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: On "Dancing with the Stars," Margaret Cho dedicated her samba to the anti-bullying cause. And even though she was eliminated from the show last night, she tells "People.com" she had a larger purpose than just winning.
MARGARET CHO, ACTRESS: When I was a teenager, I was bullied a lot. And I felt very insecure and very scared and I didn`t want to live. And I just want to reach out to these kids and make sure that they stay with us.
HAMMER: Former `N Sync teen heart throb, Lance Bass, who revealed he was gay four years ago, shared a truly shocking revelation on "LARRY KING LIVE." Bass says he actually used to bully gay kids.
LANCE BASS, SINGER: When you`re 13 or 14, you just go along with what the other people are doing. You just want to fit in. You want to make sure that your friends like you.
HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you this is something you just don`t often see in Hollywood. Today, we`re seeing hard-partying reality show stars, sarcastic stand-ups joining to stop bullying.
So SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has got to ask, what is it about the tragic Tyler Clementi case that`s inspired Hollywood so much?
COOPER LAWRENCE, SYNDICATED RADIO HOST: The story of Tyler Clementi has really hit a chord with all of us, celebrities and non-celebrities alike. And the reason is because everybody has experienced bullying either on one end because they`ve done the bullying, or they`ve been bullied.
HAMMER: Radio talk show host and psychology expert, Cooper Lawrence, tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT this massive new celebrity anti-bullying crusade not only raises awareness about bullying, it can inspire kids who are going through it now.
LAWRENCE: It makes them feel like, "Wow, there is hope for me. And not only could I rise above this bullying, I might be famous, too. I might be fabulous. I might be somebody that the bully is sorry that they did this to."
HAMMER: So as the tragic story of Tyler Clementi and that of other bullied teens who recently killed themselves still flood the airwaves, stars are flooding the airwaves, too, to make sure no one else suffers the same fate.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
It really is remarkable on how Hollywood`s biggest stars are making these personal bullying revelations and really doing what they can to put a stop to bullying. And that brings us to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - can the star war on bullying make a big difference?
Right now, in New York, Taryn Winter Brill, who is a TV journalist. And with me, in New York, Sunny Hostin. She is a legal contributor for "In Session" on Tru TV.
Certainly, one of the more heart-wrenching revelations about the horrors of bullying came from "Project Runway" host, Tim Gunn. Now, Tim reveals in a new PSA for the Trevor Project Teen Prevention hotline that the harassment he suffered as a teen led him to attempt suicide. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
TIM GUNN, HOST, "PROJECT RUNWAY": You may be thinking, "What does Tim Gunn understand about my anguish, about my despair, about how I`m feeling about my particular time and place in the world right now?"
Well, I`ll share with you. As a 17-year-old youth who was in quite a bit of despair, I attempted to kill myself. And I`m very happy today that that attempt was unsuccessful.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: It is just stunning to hear someone like Tim Gunn or any other big stars speak so candidly about bullying. So Sunny Hostin, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, can all of these stars, speaking so candidly about the war on bullying, really make a big difference?
SUNNY HOSTIN, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION": I think it`s going to make a significant difference because people are just - especially teenagers, look to stars as their idols. They idolize them. They`re their role models and I think that will make a difference.
I was bullied as well as a youngster and I fought back. I had parents though that got very involved. And I think that`s important. My son was bullied on the bus. I got on the bus and I think that`s also a take away.
Parents have to get involved. School administrators have to get involved. We all have to get involved and I think that`s the message from these stars.
HAMMER: Yes. And I think what`s terrific that is happening is the stars aren`t just speaking out against bullying. They are saying, "Hey, look, it happened to me, too." This goes on everywhere. Taryn, what do you think? Can they make a big difference?
TARYN WINTER BRILL, TV JOURNALIST: Yes, absolutely. I mean, it`s no secret. We live in a celebrity-obsessed culture. When celebrities speak, we listen. And it`s unfortunate that it takes a tragedy like this to get the conversation going.
But when stars speak and someone out there in the living room is watching, saying, "I`m just like him. I`m just like that celebrity. I`m going to listen. Look how he turned out."
HAMMER: Well, let`s move on now from stars demanding an end to bullying to a massive outcry today over violence on MTV`s hit reality show, "Teen Mom."
Brooke Anderson, let me bring you in here. There`s a lot of outrage today over what was shown on the show. I`m pretty surprised by it.
ANDERSON: Yes. That`s right, A.J. The show follows the lives of several teen moms and couples, including Amber and Gary.
Now, ever since Amber was seen slapping and punching Gary during arguments on the show, usually with their baby in the same room, ever since all that happened, there have been major concerns about the couple and about the safety of their daughter. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
GARY, CAST MEMBER, "TEEN MOM": I`m leaving now because you`re pissing me off.
AMBER, CAST MEMBER, "TEEN MOM": You need (EXPLETIVE DELETED) talk to him like that.
GARY: Amber, I`m out. She left you a message. Then stay here.
AMBER: No. Let me tell you something. You don`t (EXPLETIVE DELETED) talk to my (EXPLETIVE DELETED) kid like that, you (EXPLETIVE DELETED) hear me? You apologize to him.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Oh, it`s incredibly disturbing. MTV has been airing domestic violence PSAs during commercial breaks on "Teen Mom." But Sunny, is that enough or is MTV sending mixed messages here?
HOSTIN: You know, I think they`re doing the right thing in terms of educating people with these PSAs, because they have the opportunity to do. And that I think they have to do it because they`re airing this.
I don`t think it`s enough, though, because domestic violence is a very serious issue and they`re highlighting that issue and they need to do more. What about showing a counseling session on air? What about doing little by more? Are they sending mixed messages? I don`t think so, but I do think they need to do more.
ANDERSON: Well, speaking of counseling, in a new interview out today, Amber reveals that she is getting help in counseling. Amber tells "Us Weekly" a lot has changed, "I haven`t hit him since that fight."
But in a "Teen Mom" after-show webisode, Amber is apologetic, but lashes out again. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
AMBER: (INAUDIBLE). There`s better people out there. I care about him so much and nobody could tell. Nobody`s going to be able to tell. I don`t treat him like the way I feel. And -
GARY: That would be nice. That way, she`s (INAUDIBLE).
AMBER: Please don`t be rude.
GARY: I`m just telling them -
AMBER: Please. Please, this is why I`m not vulnerable. This is why I don`t talk - this is why I don`t say this stuff to him. He just says the number one thing that I probably don`t want to hear.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: OK. I don`t think MTV is sending mixed messages here. I do agree with Sunny that, sure, more can be done. But I`ve got to say, if anything, it kind of all reveals the harsh realities of teen parenthood.
And boy, are they harsh. These two are obviously too young, too immature to handle the responsibilities, the challenges of parenthood. And Amber is venting at times by being abusive. Taryn, what do you think?
BRILL: Yes. I think - exactly. This is a case of domestic abuse that is being promoted on MTV, or not promoted, but it`s being shown on their show.
ANDERSON: Yes.
BRILL: And they are doing their best to sort of backtrack and say it isn`t OK. But I do think there is a little bit of a double standard here. I mean, why isn`t this getting more attention because it`s the woman hitting the man? If this was the man hitting the woman, I think we`d all be outraged.
(CROSS TALK)
ANDERSON: It`s inexcusable either way -
BRILL: Yes.
ANDERSON: Is how I feel about it. And no child should ever be subjected to that sort of situation.
BRILL: No way.
ANDERSON: Amber, get it together.
BRILL: Exactly.
ANDERSON: OK. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT got this statement from MTV late today about the "Teen Mom" outrage. And here`s what they told us, "Our role in `Teen Mom` is to document how incredibly challenging and difficult being a teen parent is. In this particular instance, we confirmed that no one was hurt and monitored the situation and make sure no one was in imminent danger and that the couple`s child was not in the home." In that particular instance.
Taryn Winter Brill, Sunny Hostin, thank you both.
HAMMER: OK. Got to move on right now to the brand-new "Dancing with the Stars" bombshell. Sarah Palin revealing a secret today.
(MUSIC)
We are going to tell you what Sarah Palin had to say with "Dancing with the Stars" today. And I`m here to tell you it`s got nothing to do with her daughter, Bristol.
Mel Gibson`s ex speaks out in her very first interview today. Her stunning new allegation that she thought Mel was going to kill her.
Did you see this? Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher caught on tape in an outrageous fight with the paparazzi.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hi, you, guys. What are you guys up to? Just trying to do my job like you, man.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: All right. So do the Twitter-telling Ashton and Demi really deserve privacy in public? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Courtney Love quits Twitter after accidentally posting nearly naked pictures. "Glee" cast beats Beatles record for most appearances on Billboard`s Hot 100 Chart.
(MUSIC)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
And Brooke, what is this that I hear about Ashton and Demi`s date night being ruined by the paparazzi?
ANDERSON: Yes, A.J., and it was all caught on tape. Wait until you see this. Ashton Kutcher is angry after he and his wife, Demi Moore, tried to innocently catch a movie in Los Angeles, but were hounded by paparazzi.
You`ve got to hear what Ashton told the paps about how he wants his privacy. But wait a second. Isn`t this the same couple that goes very public, very personal every day with all of that tweeting that they do?
Right now, in New York, is Rachel Zalis. She is a contributing editor for "Life and Style Weekly."
Rachel, of course, Ashton and Demi, we know, have been fighting reports that their marriage is in trouble. Well, these two are making a public display that they`re still in love. They went out on a date night to see a movie. But the paparazzi would not leave them alone. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hi, guys. What are you guys up to?
KUTCHER: We`re doing fine. We`re doing fine.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How are you, guys? What are you guys up to?
KUTCHER: Trying to go to the movies, man. Why don`t you get out of my face?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Just trying to do my job like you, man. You`re an actor. I`m a paparazzi, bro.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: OK. In a way, I understand Ashton`s reaction because the paparazzi can be very aggressive. They can be invasive with those celebrities. Ashton wants some privacy. He is human.
But at the same time, Ashton and Demi are known for sharing very intimate moments with their combined nine million followers on Twitter, which leads to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint. Do the Twitter-telling Ashton and Demi deserve privacy in public? Rachael, what do you think?
RACHEL ZALIS, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, "LIFE AND STYLE WEEKLY": I mean, these two live their lives on Twitter. Demi is putting up pictures of her in bikinis. They`re in bed celebrating their anniversary.
So of course it`s going to seem hypocritical when they go to a movie that they`re saying, suddenly, they want their rights to privacy. So you know, I just think we can call her now, "Demi Give Me More Attention." That seems the direction they say they`re going in.
ANDERSON: A.J., what do you think?
HAMMER: Well, I get what they`re annoyed the way they`re hounded. But I don`t think they can expect any right to privacy in public. It all comes with the territory.
ANDERSON: Good point.
HAMMER: We`ve been down this road before. There are some other big Ashton news today connected to Justin Bieber. Reports today MTV is planning to revive Ashton`s show, "Punk`d." The Bieb could host the show. Ashton was the original mastermind behind the show, playing some celebs. That went off the air three years ago.
Rachel, I love the idea of the Biebs doing the show. What about you?
ZALIS: Are you kidding. Bieber fever is burning up. Why would he ever want to do this show? I mean, I`m thinking you know how young stars think they need a little added edge. For Christina Aguilera, it was chaps. I guess for Bieber, it`s "Punk`d."
HAMMER: Yes, I guess so -
ZALIS: It just doesn`t make sense to me.
HAMMER: Yes, I think it`s cool. It`s kind of like why Ashton did it to begin with. We`re going to leave it there. Rachel Zalis, thanks.
ANDERSON: Obsessed with the Kardashians. You know, I`ve got to hand it to these sisters. They`ve created a triple-headed ratings monster and killer brand. Kim K. is out with brand-new remarkable proof today that just about everybody is obsessed with the Kardashians.
Bristol Palin, The Situation both survived today. It`s another day. But there`s a big debate today - who will get kicked off first, Bristol or the "Sitch"? Sorry, ladies. I`m thinking Mr. Abs-tastic is going to go home first.
Snooki joins a convent. Not. But did you hear about the bizarre story about people flying around in jet packs? This totally made up, too. One of the biggest hoaxes of all time.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Think about a law enforcement jet pack officer being able to descend down on Sunset Boulevard and stop a celebrity that`s loaded driving a convertible into a tree. I mean, that is something that could save a lot of lives.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: What? Are we talking the Jetsons here? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
HAMMER: Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Never-before-heard Lady Gaga album and performance DVD up for auction. Hilary Swank reveals the importance of family at premiere of "Conviction."
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HILLARY SWANK, ACTRESS: For me, this was a really beautiful love story between a brother and a sister. I think family is really the most important. I think people are being reminded of that where, you know, people are losing their jobs. And really, the only thing you have is family. I think it`s really the only thing that you can hold on to and say is real.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Did you see this? The incredible transformation of James Franco. He`s in drag. Take a look. Franco going glam. He has some lovely blue eye shadow, as you see here, and the big red lips.
That`s for the cover of "Candy" magazine. It is the magazine that claims it is the first transversal style magazine. Famed fashion photographer Terry Richardson captured the "Spiderman" star`s transformation.
I have always loved Franco as an actor because, well, he defies stereotypes. But really, not surprising at all to see James getting in touch with his inner drag queen, Brooke.
HAMMER: Well, we move now from stars and drags to ladies locking lips on TV.
ANDERSON: Yes, A.J. This morning on "The View," co-host Joy Behar revealed that she had a girl-on-girl kiss with none other than reality TV star, Lisa Rinna. Lisa just sat down with Joy on "THE JOY BEHAR SHOW" right here on HLN. Lisa`s husband, Harry Hamelin, too.
Lisa just confessed she had her surgically-enhanced upper lip fixed. Now, a lot of people made fun of Lisa`s lip. I do wonder though what Lisa`s husband, Harry Hamelin, was thinking that Joy said that she wanted to check out Lisa`s new lip.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Now, 20-some years ago, she put silicone in her lips, which is - really does not biodegrade. It`s like Agent Orange, the stuff, you know. So she put it in there. And now, she says it was starting to shift and get lumpy.
And now, she has - she`s letting the thing come out. And I kissed her last night. I`ll show you a picture on my show last night just to test it. See?
SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": You are always kissing somebody, Joy.
BEHAR: I know -
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: She said it felt like pillows.
HAMMER: Yes. Well, I`ve got to tell you, Brooke, I ran into Lisa yesterday and I think the new lip look is great. She looks terrific.
ANDERSON: She looks great.
HAMMER: All right. We`ve got to move on now to news of another Kardashian reality TV show, which is one of the hot topics on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall today.
Now, Kim and Kourtney are teaming up this time and they are taking over New York. Oh, goody.
Well, Mallory L. says, "I love New York. My sisters and I love the Kardashians. They are funny and stylish. I watch their show all the time with my sisters."
Marina R. adding, "I`d like to say that I wouldn`t watch, but I`ll probably cave in." Well, a lot of people are thinking that.

Bristol Palin survives yet another week on "Dancing with the Stars." Today, Sarah Palin reveals a dramatic "Dancing" secret of her very own.
The mother of Mel Gibson`s love child makes an incredible new claim today that she thought Mel was going to kill her.
And it`s judgment day for the stars of TLC`s "Sister Wives." Are they about to be arrested? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Here comes the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

HAMMER: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. - Oksana`s kill claim. The very first interview out today with Mel Gibson`s ex about their personal war. Her stunning new allegation that she thought Mel was going to kill her.
(MUSIC)
Sarah Palin`s dramatic "Dancing with the Stars" revelation today. Bristol wasn`t the only Palin asked to be on the show.
The biggest hoax ever? It`s the unbelievable made-up story about jet packs.

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Mad Mel`s ex speaks out today.
HAMMER: "I thought he would kill me" - those chilling words from Mel`s ex, Oksana Grigorieva as she opens in a "People" magazine exclusive today about everything, from the night she claims Mel hit her, to this haunting audiotapes of Mel`s alleged telephone tirade.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You almost killed us. Did you forget?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): Last three years have been a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) gravy train for you.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You were hitting a woman with a child in her hands. You, what kind of man is that? You know what?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): You know what? You (EXPLETIVE DELETED) deserved it.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You`re going to answer one day, boy, you`re going to answer.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): Huh?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): There.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): What? What? What are you threatening me?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): Nothing, nothing. I`m not the one to threaten.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): I`ll threaten. I`ll put you in a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) rose garden you (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
(END AUDIO CLIP)
HAMMER: All right. So did Oksana leak those tapes? And wait until you hear her stunning new claim that she thought that Mel was going to kill her.
Right now, in Hollywood, J.D. Heyman. He is the assistant managing editor of "People" magazine which got this remarkable exclusive with Mel`s ex. There`s the cover. And right now, in New York, Sunny Hostin who is a legal contributor for "In Session" on our sister network, Tru TV.
I`ve got to begin with what I think is the most dramatic part of Oksana`s interview with "People" magazine today where she alleges Mel actually attacked her and threatened her life while she was holding on to their baby girl, Lucia. It is remarkable. Brooke, what exactly did she say about that?
ANDERSON: A.J., this is the first time we are hearing Oksana speak in such detail. She tells "People" magazine this, "He hit me twice with the fist, boom, boom, to my head and my mouth. He proceeds to choke me with both his hands. I was scared for my life and my daughter`s."
"I went into the kitchen to grab my keys and he`s pulling a gun out of his shorts. He`s starting to wave it. He said, `I`m going to (EXPLETIVE DELETED) show you how to (EXPLETIVE DELETED) leave here.` I thought he would kill me."
A.J., SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reached out to Mel today about Oksana`s new interview. He had no comment. Boy, that`s no surprise. We haven`t heard word one from Mel since this whole mess exploded. Man up.
HAMMER: No, no. We heard nothing at all. And this really, according to Oksana, came out of the blue. She tells "People" magazine Mel had never been violent toward her before. J.D., what did she tell you about why he was, as she put it, frothing at the mouth with anger?
J.D. HEYMAN, ASSISTANT MANAGING EDITOR, "PEOPLE" MAGAZINE: Well, you know, this whole incident that she relates happened around a babysitter. Basically, Oksana alleges that she was at a basketball game with her son, Sasha(ph), her son with the actor, Timothy Dalton.
She got an angry phone call from Mel Gibson. And at that point she returned to Mel`s house. Mel was there with their daughter, Lucia. And he was very upset, apparently, about the babysitter and that that`s this all escalated from there.
According to her, he got angrier and angrier. And as you heard, it became, in her words, a pretty terrifying experience.
HAMMER: Yes. She said he was acting like a lunatic. And I have to be honest with you. I`m surprised she`s going into such detail about, this especially since SHOWBIZ TONIGHT just confirmed her sit-down with Oprah Winfrey was cancelled because a judge basically told Oksana, hey, don`t do any interviews.
Well, in this new interview, Oksana`s holding nothing back. Sunny, I have to imagine a judge is just going to be furious, this particular judge, that she went out and did this.
HOSTIN: Extremely furious, especially if it was actually an order from the judge. If this was just a judge saying, "I don`t want you to do any interviews," that`s one thing, A.J.
HAMMER: But still no good.
HOSTIN: Still no good. But if this judge ordered her not to conduct any interviews, that`s going to be a huge problem for her.
HAMMER: Well, another big question that Oksana answered in this "People" magazine exclusive interview is, did she or did she not leak those infamous audiotapes apparently of Mel Gibson absolutely losing it. Brooke, what did she tell "People" about that?
ANDERSON: A.J., she is saying, "Hey, don`t look at me." She says, quote, "I never leaked those, I just wanted to make that clear. I didn`t think they were valuable to begin with. To me, they were truthful evidence of a crime he committed. I E-mailed some of my conversations to my sister, who deleted them, she said, back in February. I don`t know who leaked them."
So Oksana claims she didn`t leak them and her sister didn`t leak them. But J.D., what is she telling "People" magazine about the allegations that she recorded the tapes to extort Mel?
HEYMAN: Well, she denies that, obviously. She says she didn`t even know that a person could do that. She says she only taped Mel because he was making threats against her and that the only point of making those tapes was to record evidence of what she saw as a crime being committed against her, and that`s the only reason she says she did it.
As to how those tapes got into the public purview, you know, that`s an open question. But she`s vigorously denying this she had anything to do with it.
HAMMER: You know, Sunny, what do you think? You know, she said she recorded them, as J.D. was saying, in order to protect herself because she felt threatened. Are you buying that? Because a lot of people really have questioned her motives along the way.
And it seems to me that is something that somebody would certainly do if they did feel their life was in danger.
HOSTIN: You know, I`m inclined to believe her. Even as a hardened former prosecutor, I`m inclined to believe her, because victims of domestic violence feel very taken advantage of. They feel very vulnerable.
And without those tapes, would we all believe that this even happened? Would we have believed her? I don`t know. I may not have. And so I`m inclined to believe she did it to protect herself.
HAMMER: Yes. I think we can only believe her right now because, again, if people start going after her, which they were doing for a time because of recording those tapes, you know, she`s just being victimized potentially again.
HOSTIN: Again.
HAMMER: Yes. I do want to move on right now to more big news breaking. In that "Sister Wives" bigamy bombshell, could the family featured on TLC`s hit show, "Sister Wives" actually be going to prison?
Also, a new love affair for - a new love interest for Peter Parker in the new "Spiderman" movie. And Kim Kardashian celebrating a milestone. It`s all making big news in "The Buzz" today.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over) The slammer for the "Sister Wives"? The bigamy investigation into the family featured on the hit TLC show, "Sister Wives," has reportedly been completed.
After flaunting their polygamous lifestyle on their show, Kodi Brown and his family could be charged with bigamy. That`s a felony in Utah. According to TMZ, if they`re convicted, the family could serve up to five years in jail. .
Emma Stone joins "Spiderman." SHOWBIZ TONIGHT just learned the "Easy A" star has been cast as the next on-screen love interest for the web- slinging super hero.
However, Emma isn`t replacing Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson. She`ll be playing a different love interest for Peter Parker. The movie is expected to begin shooting in December and will swing into the theaters in the summer of 2012.
Kim Kardashian`s Twitter milestone. Kim just passed the five million- follower mark. She tweeted, quote, "I really don`t know how to thank my over five million Twitter friends! This is such a mind-blowing feeling! I can`t believe it! I love you so much!"
The newly-single reality star admits she`s looking for love outside of Twitter. She just told Ryan Seacrest she wants to give single life a shot and she`s looking forward to her friends hooking her up with some quality men.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: Five million Twitter followers. It`s mind-boggling all right. Three Kardashian reality shows, a new one coming for Kim and for Kourtney. J.D., what is the obsession with the Kardashians?
HEYMAN: I wish I knew. I really just wish I knew. I think basically they are - they`re very appealing. Despite all their wealth and not being exactly the girls next door, I think for a lot of people, they`re very relatable and people just enjoy, you know, rooting for them.
They`re likable people. And there`s no lack of unlikable people on reality TV. So maybe that`s it.
ANDERSON: Maybe so. Well, you know, Kim Kardashian`s got that brand-new reality show, "Kourtney and Kim Take New York." And as A.J. said in the piece, she told Ryan Seacrest she`s ready to be set up on dates. She`s ready. She`s down for some hookups.
But Sunny, does she really need to be set up? She`s probably got the guys knocking down her door.
HOSTIN: I don`t think she needs to be set up. I mean, let`s face it. She`s hot. She`s beautiful. Anyone would want to date her. And I think the fascination is that she came out of nowhere. She was sort of this everyday person. And now, she`s a multimillionaire. She`s a star. People want to be like Kim. That`s the bottom line.
ANDERSON: Built her fame out of nothing.
HOSTIN: Exactly.
ANDERSON: Sonny Hostin, J.D. Heyman, thank you both. And don`t forget to pick up the new issue of "People" magazine. It is on newsstands, Friday.
HAMMER: Well, just in today, Sarah Palin`s brand-new shocking "Dancing with the Stars" revelation.
(MUSIC)
Sarah`s daughter, Bristol, still dancing. But get this - she wasn`t the only Palin asked to do the show. Would Sarah do "Dancing"? You`ve got to hear what Sarah`s revealing.
And The Situation versus Bristol. They`re both crowd favorites on the show. To be sure, they`re still surviving. But who is going to get kicked off first? It`s the SHOWBIZ great debate.
And the biggest hoax of all time, flying cops?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Think about a law enforcement jet pack officer being able to descend down on Sunset Boulevard and stop a celebrity that`s loaded drive a convertible into a tree. I mean, that`s something that could save a lot of lives.
HAMMER: OK. Are you kidding me? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

HAMMER: That`s Bristol Palin, cutting a rug on "Dancing with the Stars." And today, we`ve got a "Dancing" shocker from her mom, Sarah. Was another Palin asked to be on the show?
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Brooke Anderson is in Hollywood.
ANDERSON: That`s right, A.J. Sarah Palin is making a brand-new revelation today about who "Dancing with the Stars" went after before her daughter, Bristol, made her dancing debut. And wait until you hear what else she`s saying.
With me, right now, in New York, Taryn Winter Brill who is a TV journalist. Also, in New York, Rachel Zalis, who is a contributing editor for "Life and Style Weekly."
So ladies, Bristol did it again last night, avoiding getting voted off "Dancing with the Stars." Her mom, Sarah, was in Texas giving a speech.
And listen to this, she revealed that her husband, Todd, was approached by "Dancing with the Stars" to show off his dancing moves. Listen to what she said.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
FMR. GOV. SARAH PALIN (R-AK): They wanted Todd to be on the show. And I think that would have been cool to see, too. But here, Bristol is out of her comfort zone.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: It`s a crazy idea - Todd Palin. But Taryn, I think it could have worked. Do you think Sarah`s husband would have made a good contestant?
BRILL: Not really. I don`t think anybody wants to see Mrs. Sarah Palin dancing. And frankly, I was surprised when they chose Bristol because it`s "Dancing with the Stars." Is Sarah Palin`s daughter a star? I mean, she`s just a daughter of a politician. I never understood it to begin with, but that`s just my opinion.
ANDERSON: No, I think they use that word "stars" pretty loosely -
BRILL: I guess. I guess.
ANDERSON: On the reality competition. Well, you know, Sarah Palin did not make clear whether Bristol was picked for "Dancing with the Stars" because her father turned down the dancing gig.
But Rachel, I`ll come at it from a different angle. Do you think that Todd Palin would have made a better contestant than his daughter, Bristol?
ZALIS: I just would have liked it because I want to call him "first dude of the dance floor." I mean, that would have been perfect.
I mean, I think, either way, people are interested because it`s a relative of Sarah Palin. So I honestly think they`re interchangeable at this point.
ANDERSON: All right. Interchangeable Palins. Well, Sarah Palin also did reveal another bombshell. When asked if she would ever entertain being a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars," listen to what she said about that, "They would have to let me dribble back and forth and maybe pivot and do a jump shot or something as part of the routine."
"In fact, when Bristol said, `I don`t know how to dance,` I told her, `Just think of it as learning some basketball plays."
Well, you know, love her or hate her, people would watch. You cannot deny that, right, Taryn?
BRILL: Yes, I agree. And hey, it seems like she`s open to the idea there are some caveats. You know, she wants to throw a few hoops around and play some one-on-one. But yes, I think people would watch and I`m sure they`d like a little basketball side-show as well.
ANDERSON: Incorporate some of her basketball skills, I guess.
BRILL: Yes.
ANDERSON: A.J., what`s your take?
HAMMER: I think people would obviously watch. I`m with Taryn on that, except I think it would kill any political aspirations she may still have. I just don`t think there`s a way to rebound from that and try to get into the White House, if that`s what she`s trying to do.
Now, Bristol, her daughter, still winning big votes on "Dancing with the Stars." And you know, she`s got some pretty fierce competition. Let`s face it. She`s got "Jersey Shore" star, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.
So here`s what we`re asking in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll today - "`Dancing with the Stars`: Who do you think will get kicked off first, Bristol Palin or The Situation?"
Now, Rachel, a few weeks ago I would have said Palin. I`m actually not so sure right now. I think The Situation might go first.
ZALIS: I kind of agree with you. I mean, they`re both bad on the dance floor. We`re going to put that out there right now. But it comes down to mom versus muscle, like, are they going to vote for Sarah Palin? Or are they going to vote for his abs?
And I`ve got to give him the edge, because he`s got smooth moves off the dance floor.
HAMMER: And when you say vote for Sarah, they`re voting by proxy for Sarah Palin -
ZALIS: Exactly.
HAMMER: By voting for Bristol.
ZALIS: I mean, we all know about that.
HAMMER: Well, that`s what a lot of people think. But now, you know, she`s really - she`s generating this fan base of her own.
We did post this SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page today. Looks like the voting is pretty straight down the middle right now.
Here`s what Vicki D. wrote on our wall, "Bristol should go. At least `The Situation` has a personality."
Now, Sonya C. wrote on our wall this, "Hopefully, `The Situation` will be kicked off first. Bristol is not doing that badly."
So we`re going to have to wait and see. I actually think this is pretty, pretty close. Rachel Zalis, Taryn Winter Brill, thank you both for being here.
ANDERSON: Well, speaking of The Situation, The Situation is running for president. OK, I made that up. Also, totally made up, a bizarre story about jet packs.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Think about a law enforcement jet pack officer being able to descend down on Sunset Boulevard and stop a celebrity that`s loaded driving a convertible into a tree. I mean, that`s something that could save a lot of lives.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Flying cops? No. Really? Could this be the biggest hoax of all time?
Here comes the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.
TEXT: Helen Mirren says the secret to her bikini bod: The Nintendo Wii Fit! Sofia Vergara tweets picture from upcoming Halloween episode of "Modern Family."
ANDERSON: OK. It`s time now for "Hollywood at Home." This is where we get the stars to reveal how they balance their busy careers and their home lives.
Today, Matthew Fox. Matthew, of course, just finished six seasons on "Lost" as Dr. Jack Shephard who is also the head of the family as Charlie on "Party of 5." So when we caught up with Matthew at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association luncheon, we had to ask, "Hey, Matthew, how do you juggle Hollywood and being a family man?"
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MATTHEW FOX, ACTOR: I live in Oregon. And honestly, I`m not tremendously active in this town other than looking for gigs and then going off and doing them.
I`m really happy to be living where I`m living. My kids - my daughter`s going to be starting high school here in about a year. And that was always very important to us actually. I grew up in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming and I come from a place that`s very sparsely populated. And that was important for me to get the kids out of the big city about the time they hit high school.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Matthew has said he doesn`t want to do another TV series because he wants to stay closer to home. But he did say he would do movies. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: OK. Did you see this? Another news network messed up big time. They reported a story that the City of Los Angeles was buying 10,000 jet packs to fight crime, fight fires.
But it`s not true. Oh, and the story came from the "Weekly World News," definitely not the most reliable source. Oopsie.
Here`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
JEANNE MOOS, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): This is the story of a news story that took off, a story that got off the ground, even though it was made up out of thin air. The joke`s on Fox News reporting on the Martin jet pack, which does exist.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The City of Los Angeles already ordering 10,000 jet packs for its police, paramedics and fire departments.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are you kidding?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Can we afford that?
MOOS: Does this mean L.A. will be buzzing with jet packs police like the guys chasing Tom Cruise off a fire escape in "Minority Report," like James Bond, escaping the bad guys in "Thunderbolt." Like Tom Cruise, Fox News fell for it.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Get this, the cost - $100,000. I mean, I`m all, you know, buying stuff and helping capitalism and all that. But do they have $100,000 for 10,000 of them?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, the authorities ordered 10,000 of them.
MOOS (on camera): Let`s see 10,000 jet packs at $100,000 apiece comes out to an expenditure of $1 billion.
(voice-over) An expenditure the L.A. POLICE DEPARTMENT never heard of. As for the New Zealand based makers of the Martin jet pack.
RICHARD LAUDER, CEO, MARTIN AIRCRAFT CO.: Certainly, we haven`t sold 10,000 to the Los Angeles police, though we would love a call from them if they`re interested.
MOOS: Fox News soon admitted the error.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Turns out they`re not going to.
MOOS: But this is where the story originated.
(on camera) Remember the old saying "consider the source"? Well, "Weekly World News" is known for imaginary scoops like "Bat Boy Found in Cave."
(voice-over) These are the folks that brought us headlines like "Ten New Commandments Found," "Death Cured" and "First Photos of Heaven." The CEO of the "Weekly World News" never takes his tongue out of his cheek.
NEIL MCGINNESS, CEO, "WEEKLY WORLD NEWS": Think about a law enforcement jet pack officer being able to descend down on Sunset Boulevard and stop a celebrity that`s loaded driving a convertible into a tree. I mean, that`s something that could save a lot of lives.
MOOS: The last time a "Weekly World News" story got picked up in the real press was when it was reported that a chaos cloud was headed for earth.
Just to be clear, the Martin jet pack is real. It goes 63 miles an hour. There are two of them in existence as the company looks for someone to invest $15 million. As for the 10,000 ordered by the LAPD -
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You could have jet packs flying into choppers.
MOOS: Or even jet packs flying into bad boys.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: That was CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. A.J., the Martin jet pack has been 30 years in the making.
HAMMER: Got to get me one of them. All right. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is now live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern - that`s Monday through Friday.
HAMMER: And we are still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
