THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: We`ve got big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - a "Teen Mom" shocker. Amber Portwood reportedly losing custody of her two-year-old daughter. Was her beating up the baby`s father on tape the reason?

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: An explosive Lohan family reunion. Lindsay, her controversial mom, her estranged father in the same room? The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - is a Lohan family reunion a good idea for Lindsay`s rehab?

Kanye cancels? Kanye West bails out of his big "Today" show concert after his big beef with Matt Lauer. Is Kanye making a big mistake?

Marie`s brand-new bombshell. Marie Osmond opens up to Oprah about her alleged abusive marriage.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARIE OSMOND, ACTRESS AND SINGER: I had a very bad marriage - a lot of pain, a lot of sorrow.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Plus, the unbelievable reaction today to Marie`s emotional tell- all to Oprah about her son`s suicide.

HAMMER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show -

ANDERSON: Starts right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - the "Teen Mom" baby battle.

HAMMER: Yes, the troubled star of MTV`s "Teen Mom" at the center of a domestic violence case is now facing her toughest challenge yet. Today, Amber Portwood, who has been caught on camera brutally and repeatedly beating up the father of her two-year-old daughter, is now speaking out about reports that her little girl has been taken away from her. But you won`t believe the reason she`s giving.

ANDERSON: Amber first sparked massive outrage after we all saw that infamous footage from MTV`s "Teen Mom." Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

AMBER PORTWOOD, CAST MEMBER, "TEEN MOM": Huh?

GARY SHIRLEY, FATHER OF AMBER PORTWOOD`S BABY: Amber -

PORTWOOD: No, I swear to god I wish I was bigger than you (EXPLETIVE DELETED).

SHIRLEY: One more hit.

PORTWOOD: One more hit then what? Are you going to (EXPLETIVE DELETED) hit me?

SHIRLEY: No.

PORTWOOD: I am at the edge. You want me to cuss your (EXPLETIVE DELETED) face?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I mean, that`s extremely disturbing stuff, right? With us, right now, in New York, is Cooper Lawrence, syndicated radio host and author of the book, "The Cult of Celebrity." And in Hollywood, we`ve got Jim Moret, "Inside Edition`s" chief correspondent and who`s got a fine book out as well titled "The Last Day of My Life."

OK. Cooper, Jim, that outrageous violent outburst led police in Indiana to open a domestic violence investigation. And Child Protective Services reportedly is also looking into this case today.

Today, in the brand-new "Us Weekly," Amber`s dropping a bombshell saying that her two-year-old daughter now living with the little girl`s father, Gary Shirley. You remember the guy that Amber was beating up.

But here`s the thing. Check out the reason she gives. She tells "Us Weekly," quote, "Child Protective Services agreed it was safer for her to stay at Gary`s because of all the photographers outside my house."

She goes on to say, quote, "I`ve changed. I made mistakes but all can you do is learn from them. I am helping myself."

OK. Jim, with all that drama, do you actually think it`s conceivable that the Child Protective Services would take a young baby away from her mother, Amber, because of the paparazzi?

JIM MORET, SENIOR CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": No.

ANDERSON: No.

MORET: No, it doesn`t make sense. Look, the Child Protective Services is interested in one thing, the safety and welfare of the child. If she has a violent temper and is going to beat up that child`s father, who knows what she would do to the baby?

And that`s why - that`s why the services would take the child away, just to look and see is this woman stable. Can she care for her baby? But look at the decisions that are made. They have cameras following them around 24/7.

ANDERSON: Right.

MORET: I don`t understand the success of the show. We were talking about it before.

ANDERSON: Yes. And the paparazzi -

MORET: It`s crazy.

ANDERSON: It feels like a lame excuse to me. And she says she is getting help, which I think is great. It`s admirable.

But Cooper, when she seems to suggest her little girl`s biggest problem is the paparazzi and not the fact that her mother repeatedly beat up and cursed at her father in front of the baby at times, it tells me that she doesn`t quite get it. What do you think?

COOPER LAWRENCE, SYNDICATED RADIO HOST AND AUTHOR: "Doesn`t quite get it" is an understatement. I`m thinking delusional.

ANDERSON: Yes.

LAWRENCE: I mean, the fact that she said that she changed - she changed when? In the past five minutes? I mean, she`s a teenager. She`s a kid herself. She`s not mature enough to be a mother. She`s not mature enough.

And remember, this is a generation that wants to be on television, that wants to be famous, and that`s what`s happening to her. And that, in and of itself - she`s not in a good position to be a mom. The whole thing is just (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: Fame is her priority and not her daughter.

LAWRENCE: Exactly.

ANDERSON: Well, you know, this really sparked outrage among so many people. Today on "The Talk" on CBS, host Sharon Osbourne and Leah Remini really went off on MTV for showing Amber and Gary`s troubles on "Teen Mom." Watch what they said.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHARON OSBOURNE, CO-HOST, "THE TALK": Where do you draw the line from, OK, it`s real. It`s reality. They`re trying to stay true to what they believe in. But the thing is, by letting it just be that and showing it with nobody coming in to intervene, it shows that it`s acceptable to young kids that are watching it.

LEAH REMINI, CO-HOST, "THE TALK": Why wasn`t she arrested? When you put your hands on somebody, you should be arrested. And for MTV to be promoting this -

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. I personally disagree. I don`t think MTV is promoting domestic violence in any way by showing Gary and Amber`s troubles. But here`s my question, though, Jim.

With all of their legal troubles, maybe it is time for MTV to drop them so that they could focus on their problems, focus on mending things for their daughter for her sake.

MORET: The big problem for the networks is the highest-rated shows are those shows that show the violence. Tonight, the smack-down on "Jersey Shore." Tonight, the smack-down on "Teen Mom." That`s when they get the biggest viewership. So it`s hard.

ANDERSON: But when a child is involved -

MORET: I`m not saying it`s right. I`m saying it from a business standpoint the network is saying these are our highest-rating show.

ANDERSON: You`re right. It is a little bit black and white there in terms of the ratings, in terms of the income, in terms of the revenue.

All right. But A.J., we`ve actually got big news breaking today. We`ve got to move to this. It`s about Lindsay Lohan, right?

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. TMZ is reporting that Lindsay, who is at the Betty Ford Clinic right now for serious drug issues, is actually about to do a magazine photo shoot and doing it with the full blessing of her counselors at Betty Ford.

But celebrity rehab host Dr. Drew Pinsky tells TMZ - wow, he thinks that`s a horrible idea. Listen to what he said.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DR. DREW PINSKY, ADDICTION SPECIALIST: Going on pass is something she earns. That`s a great sign. Going back to work too soon is not great for her. She should be focused on her treatment, not on her work.

And doing little bits and pieces of work - I understand she`s also got finance issues. She has a career. But if that takes over, it`s not going to go well.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Now, Dr. Drew is considered an expert on addiction so, quite frankly, I`m inclined to go with him, Cooper. Do you agree that she really step back from doing anything but focusing on her rehab right now and doing everything she can to get better, not going out on photo shoots?

LAWRENCE: A photo shoot is one day. It`s not like she`s going on a film for three months. But Dr. Drew is not treating her. It almost is him saying he knows better than the doctors that are actually at the Betty Ford Clinic.

So if they think it`s OK for her to do a one-day photo shoot, clearly, they know better than he does.

HAMMER: Well, we thought that the last time she was in rehab, not at Betty Ford, and they said, yes, she`s fine. And she gets out and trips out and it was back in the cycle and back in the system again.

I have to say while she`s in rehab, Lindsay also seems to be patching things up possibly with her long-estranged dad, Michael Lohan. There`s a new photo just posted on "Radar Online" that shows the two of them out and about, given with the reported approval of her counselors at Betty Ford.

Jim, what do you think? We`ve got the photo shoots, potential family reunion with estranged dad, maybe mom getting involved, too. This really is a lot, but do you see it all as a good thing for Lindsay`s rehab?

MORET: Well, it is. Certainly, I think the relationship with her father is a good thing. She needs address the issues that kept them apart and estranged. And she needs to patch things up.

And clearly, as a family, they have a lot to work through. And I tend to follow Dr. Drew`s advice, but in this case, clearly the Betty Ford people are with her every day. If they say it`s OK, I would guess it`s OK

HAMMER: Yes. I would guess you have to put some credibility there. They`ve been at it for a long time as well.

Brooke, we do have to move on to big news breaking involving another troubled Disney starlet, Demi Lovato. What`s going on?

ANDERSON: That`s right, A.J. As we know Demi yanked herself from an international tour with the Jonas Brothers and checked herself into a treatment center for what her people call emotional and physical issues.

Well, her dad is speaking out today and Demi`s people aren`t happy about that. Demi`s father Patrick Lovato, who has been estranged from Demi, tells "Radar Online" today that Demi called him from rehab and told him she`s doing great.

But here`s the thing - today, Demi`s people tell SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that Demi hasn`t spoken to her father in years.

Cooper, obviously, there`s some sort of a disconnect here. I`m thinking if Demi`s dad is back in contact with her, he`s not doing her any favors by going public about it. Quickly.

LAWRENCE: You know, I`m not a believer just because you`re related to somebody, they have to be in your life. If they`re toxic, if they`re damaging, if they`re going to cause her more pain, then it`s OK for her not to have her father in her life. But I hope she`s keeping him away if that`s the case.

ANDERSON: Jim Moret, Cooper Lawrence, thank you both.

HAMMER: Moving on now to Marie`s brand-new bombshell. Marie Osmond opening up to Oprah Winfrey about her challenged, alleged abusive relationship, her marriage. Plus, the unbelievable reaction today to Marie`s emotional tell-all to Oprah about her son`s suicide.

ANDERSON: Kanye cancels? Kanye West bails on his big "Today" show concert after his big beef with Matt Lauer. I`ve got to say, Kanye, you`re probably making a big mistake here. We`ve got a big debate on this today.

Plus, your very first look at Gwyneth Paltrow on "Glee."

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: I think Gwyneth certainly surprised a lot of people with her singing at the CMA Awards this week. I actually thought she did pretty well. And now, she`s taking on Cee-Lo`s x-rated show on "Glee," of all shows. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

It is time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Ricky Martin named entertainer of the year by "Out" magazine. Man who hacked Sarah Palin`s E-mail account sentenced to one year and one day in prison.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: And now, the SHOWBIZ truth squad. There have been a lot of reports of Lady Gaga getting death threats. The U.K. paper, "The Sun," even said that Gaga had to take out a restraining order against the fan who referenced John Lennon`s killing and wrote Gaga a letter saying, quote, "You come to my dreams. I want to die and I want to die together with you."

That`s very scary stuff. So we checked with Gaga`s publicist who totally dismissed the death threat talk. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT asked if the Lady Gaga death threats were true. Gaga`s publicist said simply no. Obviously, we are glad to hear that.

Well, Lady Gaga might not need a restraining order, but there is now a new controversial Web site that is watching her every move.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: A.J., it`s a SHOWBIZ special report - stalking the stars. There`s brand-new star outrage today about "Justspotted.com." This is a new Web site that tracks celebrities and their every move.

Now, stars are speaking out to us about this and they`re really frightened. But the people behind the site are fighting back saying that "JustSpotted.com" is just plain fun. Here`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Kanye West tangling with photographers at LAX.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Bye, Britney.

WYNTER: Britney Spears hitting a tanning salon in L.A. Star sightings snapped by the paparazzi offer fans the ultimate celebrity fix.

But now, can you forget waiting for a picture or video to post online or a magazine. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you if you really want to track a star`s every move in real time, a controversial new Web site, "JustSpotted.com," offers fans a chance to do just that. And its founder, A.J. Asver, tells us the access to the stars is unprecedented.

A.J. ASVER, CO-FOUNDER, "JUSTSPOTTED.COM": Totally up-to-the-minute sightings of celebrities around the world. We want to bring fans closer to celebrities that they really love.

ANDERSON: Celebrities tell us it`s a little too close for comfort. Pussy Cat Dolls` Nicole Scherzinger says the site crosses a line.

NICOLE SCHERZINGER, SINGER: Now, that`s horrible. That sounds really scary.

WYNTER: "Lost" actor Jorge Garcia, seen here in character for the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" calls "JustSpotted.com" downright creepy.

JORGE GARCIA, ACTOR: I`m thinking yikes - that`s what I`m thinking. I mean, that`s really the whole reason I don`t Twitter, you know. It`s like up-to-the-minute is a bit too close, you know, for what I`m doing.

WYNTER (on camera): And if you want to see what a star is doing right now on "JustSpotted.com," just punch in their name. For example, Kevin Bacon. When we checked, Kevin was spotted just four minutes ago hanging out on the streets of New York in wife, Keira.

ASVER: We`ve actually had celebrities that have, like, E-mailed us and said, "Hey, can you make sure that I`m on the site? This is my schedule the rest of the week."

WYNTER (voice-over): And it`s that technology, Asver says, that`s keeping fans and stars connected like never before. "Just Spotted" isn`t the first star-tracking site. Like other sites, such as the now-defunct "Gawker Stalker," fans can post pictures of celebrities.

The difference? "Just Spotted" also pulls information from social networking sites like Facebook and links it to a Google map that shows the stars` exact location, when they were spotted there and what they were doing.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That makes it pretty scary.

WYNTER: Police tell SHOWBIZ TONIGHT sites like this one could turn curiosity into something more sinister. LAPD detective, Jose Viramontes, who handles celebrity stalking cases, tells us he fears "Just Spotted" could easily become a dangerous hunting tool for obsessed fans.

DET. JOSE VIRAMONTES, LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT: Fixated individuals on certain celebrities have gained information from Web sites like this, have flown from across the world to actually go to that location and meet.

WYNTER: "Just Spotted`s" founder tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that`s nonsense since they`re just posting info that`s already public.

ASVER: With any site that`s out there, I mean, there`s a danger some very small minority can use it in the wrong way.

WYNTER: The folks at Twitter are even backing away from "Just Spotted" after initially agreeing to link its celebrity tweets to "JustSpotted.com." Now, Twitter`s rep tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "`JustSpotted.com` is not the product we licensed and we have terminated their agreement." Still "Just Spotted" says Twitter`s backtrack hasn`t hurt business.

ASVER: We actually stopped using that data feed anymore and we are using a publicly available data feed.

WYNTER: And so far Asver says "JustSpotted.com" is feeding fans` appetite, serving up a healthy dose of voyeuristic celebrity entertainment. And right now, it seems a lot of people are eating it up.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: Now, since "Just Spotted" launched last month, there`s been a lot of traffic. The co-fonder says the site got more than 100,000 hits in its first week.

HAMMER: So I just checked the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall. A lot of posts today coming in about teen star, Demi Lovato, getting treatment. We asked, should she leave Hollywood for good?

Now, Nicole S. doesn`t think it`s a good idea, writing, "I don`t think she should leave Hollywood for good. I`m just excited that she and her family realized that she needed help and that she`s getting it. I like this kid and I`m praying for her.

Vicky M. agrees saying, "Maybe not leave showbiz for good. Take a possible break. Sounds like she needs one."

ANDERSON: A brand-new Kanye West controversy. Kanye`s so mad at Matt Lauer and the "Today" show that he`s cancelled his "Today" show concert.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KANYE WEST, SINGER: You really don`t have to do the TV stuff with me. This is reality. This is the real thing going on. This is - you know what I`m saying? I don`t need all the jazz.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I`ve got to ask, is this a terrible move by Kanye?

HAMMER: Brooke, Billy Ray goes ballistic. Just out today, Miley Cyrus` dad storms out of an interview. What got Billy Ray so mad? I`m playing it for you.

ANDERSON: And we`re moments away from naming the most provocative celebrity of the week. Will it be LeAnn Rimes, Kanye West or Michael Jackson`s family? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: It`s time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: J.K. Rowling says she`s willing to write more "Harry Potter" books. Cher tells "Parade" magazine she`s still friends with her former lovers.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KELLY OSBOURNE, REALITY TV STAR: I definitely think that Jennifer Grey is going to be in the finals. I really do.

But as the winner, you know, I really, really think that Bristol Palin will give everyone a run for their money.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wow. There you have it. Kelly Osbourne`s shocking prediction to Ellen DeGeneres today that she thinks Bristol Palin may win "Dancing with the Stars." Although, Kelly, who was "Dancing`s" season nine runner up, thinks Bristol is going to have some tough competition from Jennifer Grey.

Ellen and Kelly talked about Ellen`s wife, Portia De Rossi. Now, "Dancing with the Stars" reportedly wants to have a same-sex couple on the show and wants Portia to be a part it. So does Ellen think that will actually happen?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

K. OSBOURNE: I have a question.

ELLEN DEGENERES, HOST, "THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW": OK.

K. OSBOURNE: Is it true that Portia is going to do the show is this?

DEGENERES: I heard that Portia De Rossi might be doing "Dancing with the Stars."

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

K. OSBOURNE: I want her to do it so bad.

DEGENERES: do you?

K. OSBOURNE: Yes.

DEGENERES: She wants you to do it.

K. OSBOURNE: You should do it like they did in Israel with the same-sex couple. I think it`s amazing and the dancing is so much better when they do the two women together. I`ve been watching it every week. It`s fabulous.

DEGENERES: Yes. They do it in Israel?

K. OSBOURNE: Yes. There`s a same-sex couple and who would have thought of all places for us to do it there.

DEGENERES: Yes. I think it`s just weird because it`s not, like, a romantic thing. It`s an art form. Dancing - it doesn`t matter. We`re so used to seeing men and women dancing together.

K. OSBOURNE: Yes.

DEGENERES: It would be nice it see - I think it`s great they`re going to do that. I don`t know if she`s going to do it or not. She won`t tell me. We`ll find out.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: No final word yet. I think it`s a great idea.

ANDERSON: All right. According to our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll, Portia should do "Dancing with the Stars." We asked - "Portia De Rossi: Should she be in a same-sex team on `Dancing with the Stars`?" Fifty-four percent of you say yes; 46 percent say no.

Some E-mails - Jane from Michigan says, "I am an avid `Dancing with the Stars` viewer but would not watch if they were to use same-sex couples."

But Diane from Ohio disagrees, "Why not with the same-sex partner? If closed minded people don`t like it, they can always change the channel."

HAMMER: Time now for the SHOWBIZ lineup. Here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Marie Osmond opening up to Oprah about her alleged abusive marriage. Plus, the unbelievable reaction today to Marie`s emotional tell-all about her son`s suicide.

Billy Ray goes ballistic. Miley Cyrus` dad loses it during an interview. We`ve got the tape right here and we`ve got your first look at Gwyneth on "Glee."

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Gwyneth certainly surprised a lot of people with her singing at the CMA Awards this week. Wait until you see what she`s doing next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

It`s time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: The latest tabloid report this week is claiming you were abused by your ex-husband. What do you want to say about that?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - Marie`s brand-new bombshell. Marie Osmond tells Oprah about her alleged abusive marriage. Plus, the dramatic reaction today to Marie`s emotional tell-all to Oprah about her son`s suicide.

ANDERSON: Kanye cancels his concert. Kanye West bales on his big "Today" show concert after his big beef with Matt Lauer. Is this a terrible idea?

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Gwyneth does the CMA awards. Now she`s doing an x-rated song on "Glee." We`ve got your first look.

Plus, breaking today from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker," a new Michael Jackson song coming out. And Halle Berry`s new Oprah revelation.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Kanye cancels on the "Today" show.

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. It`s Kanye`s big no-show. Kanye West dropping the big old bombshell today that he`s pulling out of his scheduled Thanksgiving weekend performance on the "Today" show.

Just days after West appeared on "Today" to apologize to President Bush for labeling the former president a racist, Kanye exploded in a Twitter rant slamming the "Today" show.

West says that the show set him up and provoked him in part by playing his controversial Taylor Swift microphone stealing moment.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WEST: It was so funny to me that it could be a race thing because where I was expressing was my frustration from years and years of seeing, you know -

But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all -

How am I supposed to talk if you`re going to run this thing in the middle while I`m talking?

MATT LAUER, CO-HOST, THE "TODAY" SHOW: It`s under. You won`t be hearing it.

WEST: But I`m hearing it when I`m trying to talk.

LAUER: OK. Can you take this sound out of the overheads, please? Just pick up. You said it wasn`t a race thing.

WEST: Please don`t let that happen. It`s ridiculous.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: So is Kanye`s fury justified or was canceling on the "Today" show the wrong move?

With me in New York, Cooper Lawrence, who is a syndicated radio show host and author of the book, "The Cult of Celebrity." Right now, in Hollywood, Jim Moret, who is the chief correspondent for "Inside Edition," and he`s the author of "The Last Day of My Life."

So the "Today" show just confirmed today to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that Kanye West has pulled the plug on his upcoming appearance. I can definitely see why Kanye felt the way he did. But I`m actually thinking that canceling on the show may be not the best move.

Cooper, I kind of feel like it`s just pouring more fuel on the fire. Do you think it was a bad decision for him to pull out of his performance?

LAWRENCE: It was really unprofessional, because it`s not about his feelings were hurt. You`ve got to separate personal and private. You would think Kanye would know that by now.

And if he would perform, that says to the "Today" show audience, "I`m above this. I was treated unfairly. You all saw the video, but I`m still willing to be professional and do my performance."

And I think the people who love him would show up and support him. And he should still do the performance, I think.

HAMMER: Especially in the context "Today" show was doing what we always do. It`s what we all do. We play video. OK. He didn`t want to hear the audio. They corrected it. They were editing the whole piece together.

You know, Matt Lauer just doing his job there. And before the "Today" show even knew that Kanye cancelled, Kanye was out there tweeting about it. Brooke, what did Kanye say?

ANDERSON: Of course, he was, A.J. Yes, Kanye had a whole lot to tweet about. But here`s just a taste of what he`s saying today, "I`m not performing on the `Today` show for obvious reasons. I`m so happy the world got to see just a small piece of the set up. If I hadn`t tweeted about how they set me up at the show, they would have never played the extra footage that displayed how disrespectful."

"And I don`t hate Matt Lauer. We don`t promote hate. That`s the whole point. I promote love and truth, all positive energy, all smiles. Much love to Matt and the whole `Today` show. I accept y`all future apology in advance, LOL."

I don`t know la to say. He`s angry and yet he`s all smiles, but he`s angry enough to cancel on them. Jim, I`m thinking that Kanye - maybe it would have better for him to just rise above it, rise above the controversy and perform and then just move on.

MORET: What is he talking about?

ANDERSON: I don`t know. I don`t know.

MORET: This is television. You know what? You show video. What`s the big deal? They didn`t go full to that sound. They were showing it under his explanation. He wasn`t set up.

ANDERSON: It was nothing unusual or uncommon in television.

MORET: He wasn`t cut off. He was allowed to give his side. He is throwing a Kanye fit just like normal.

ANDERSON: Yes. And he`s just hurting himself. The performance would bring him so much great publicity. And there was another moment during his interview on the "Today" show that really threw Kanye into a tailspin. A.J., what happened there?

HAMMER: You`ve got to see this. It`s what happened when Matt Lauer asked Kanye to look at a video of an angry George W. Bush reacting to Kanye calling Bush a racist. Just take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LAUER: I just want you to look at his face -

WEST: All right.

LAUER: When he is commenting about you. Just look at him. I mean, this is the most emotional he got during my entire three-and-a-half hour interview with him. What would you say to him if he would meet with you face to face? I`m not sure he would, but if he would?

WEST: You know, I didn`t need you guys to show me the tape and like prompt my emotions to what I`m going say.

LAUER: Well, I`m just asking, when you look at his face, what would you say to him?

WEST: I mean, pre-looking at his face, I came up here because I wanted to say something to him right after the fact. You know, I would say - you know what I`m saying. You don`t really have to do TV stuff with me. This is reality. This is the real thing going on. This is - you know what I`m saying? I don`t need all the jazz.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. I`m really trying to understand Kanye`s perspective and get where he`s coming from, and I do to a degree. I mean, he went on the "Today" show with the best of intentions in his mind.

But this has turned into yet another mess for him. Cooper, even if he is justified in his anger, I do think that Kanye needs to stop, take a breath and reel it in if he`s going to ever, sort of, you know, quash that image of himself as a hothead.

LAWRENCE: That guy could not speak extemporaneously. He has to be scripted because he can`t - he was sitting there. He has no idea what to say. He`s been asked questions that - he could have given a simple answer.

And he had no idea how to make himself look like a good guy. Instead, he ends up looking even more uncomfortable and he made something a little awkward, incredibly awkward.

HAMMER: Yes. Let me say it one more time. Kanye, stay away from the Twitter, my friend, please.

All right. I do want to move on to big breaking Marie Osmond news today. Brooke, Marie broke her silence, of course, about her son`s suicide. That was so heartbreaking to hear.

ANDERSON: Right.

HAMMER: But what is she saying now about all the speculation over her divorce?

ANDERSON: A.J., Marie`s finally speaking out about all that tabloid talk that domestic abuse may have played a role in breaking up her marriage.

In a brand-new interview, Oprah Winfrey asks Marie what she wanted to say about those reports and what really broke up her marriage. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

OSMOND: I had a very bad marriage. A lot of pain. A lot of sorrow. A lot of trying. A lot of effort. But you can`t fit - you can`t fit in something. You have to move forward.

I will say this, that as you move into a second marriage, you have to make sure - for me, I was just really, really, really, really, really tired when I made my decision. Probably it wasn`t so good to be tired. You marry at the level of your self-esteem. Make sure you have self-worth.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. She never confirms that she was ever abused by her ex- husband. But I think she kind of said enough right there. Cooper, this woman spent the better part of her life making the world smile. Does it just amaze you that she`s still standing after so much darkness in her life?

LAWRENCE: Remember, she`s somebody that has been basically trained since she was very, very young to be a consummate performer, to keep whatever`s going on in your personal life to yourself.

I mean, look at her on "Dancing with the Stars." We had no idea what was going on in her life at the time. So she`s somebody that knows how to be professional, knows how to put it out there. Yet, she was falling apart.

I mean, I say amazing, because somebody else would have turned to drugs, turned to alcohol, just fallen apart in front of us. So she`s a very strong woman. Really inspiring.

ANDERSON: And speaking of "Dancing with the Stars," Cooper, in another dramatic revelation about her son, Michael, about his suicide, Marie revealed to Oprah Winfrey that he had tried to commit suicide once before at a time when the entire country was watching Marie on "Dancing with the Stars." Watch what she said.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: Had he tried to kill himself before?

OSMOND: Yes, he did. Yes.

WINFREY: I heard that he tried to kill himself before while you were doing "Dancing with the Stars."

OSMOND: Yes.

WINFREY: Is that true?

OSMOND: During that show, "Dancing with the Starved," during that time I was going through a very public divorce, going through a custody battle. My dad died and my son went into rehab and he had received some very bad news of some things that had happened to some of his family members and he couldn`t deal with it. He loved his family.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I remember watching Marie on "Dancing with the Stars" smiling, dancing. We all remember when she fainted on the show, but she was OK. But Jim, when you think back, it`s pretty mind-boggling, isn`t it, about how much suffering she was experiencing at the time.

MORET: It`s amazing. She`s a very sweet person. You`ve talked to her before.

ANDERSON: Yes.

MORET: And she`s a professional. And the show must go on and that`s what she was trying to do during that show. But she was very private about certain things in her life and we didn`t find out until months later the pain that she was holding inside.

And you`re right, it`s hard to imagine that she`s able to stand up and go out there and do her job with all of this heartache that is in her life.

ANDERSON: Her strength, her resilience is so amazing. She is, indeed, a survivor. All right. We`re going to leave it there. Cooper Lawrence, Jim Moret, thank you both.

HAMMER: As we move on, I want to you stand by. Are you all standing by? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is about to name the most provocative celebrity of the week. Will it be LeAnn "I cheated on my husband with Eddie Cibrian" Rimes and her brand-new song about cheating women?

Would it be Kanye West for finally apologizing for President George W. Bush for suggesting he`s a racist and Kanye`s new feud with Matt Lauer and the "Today" show?

Or the Jackson family? Their Oprah interview, definitely provocative. Michael Jackson`s kids spoke out for the very first time. They said they want to get into showbiz.

And then there`s this -

(MUSIC)

ANDERSON: Gwyneth does the CMAs. Now, she`s doing a song on "Glee" and she`s good. We`ve got your first look.

HAMMER: Billy Ray goes ballistic. Miley`s dad storms off during an interview. What set him off? We will show you. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Michael Jackson`s new song with Akon set to be released November 15th. Halle Berry tells Ellen DeGeneres she is not playing Oprah in a movie.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HALLE BERRY, ACTRESS: I was like, hey, "Oprah, am I playing you? Just tell me because nobody has told me this."

DEGENERES: Right.

BERRY: I don`t know where these rumors come from.

DEGENERES: Is there even a movie being made? Or is it just a kind of -

BERRY: I don`t know.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(MUSIC)

ANDERSON: Did you see this? Gwyneth goes hip-hop on "Glee." Why is Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow singing Cee-Lo Green`s song on one of the most popular TV shows out there? It`s really been one harmonious week for Gwyneth Paltrow.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood, A.J. Hammer in New York.

HAMMER: Yes. Brooke, first Gwyneth got a standing ovation at the Country Music Association Awards. She performed the title song from her new country movie, "Country Strong." And now, Gwyneth is going hip-hop and she`s doing it on "Glee." I`ve got your first look right now. Check it out.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Well, you can see the entire video of Gwyneth singing on "Glee" at "EW.com." I guess it`s kind of a country-fied hip-hop version of that song, Brooke.

ANDERSON: She`s got a solid voice, a great voice, A.J. And she really seems to enjoy singing and performing in this way. So I`m thinking next stop for her, guest judge on "American Idol" maybe.

HAMMER: You never know. You never know.

ANDERSON: I know. OK. Now, moving to this, A.J. - Hollywood diet secrets revealed. And speaking of Gwyneth, she actually credits her slender figure partly to detoxing. A detox cleanse is popular among a lot of Hollywood`s A-list celebrities. Some celebrities swear by them but do these diets work and are they dangerous?

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) She is one of Hollywood`s most famous dream girls. Her music, her movies, her clothes. Even what she doesn`t eat makes headlines. So when Beyonce told Oprah Winfrey she used the Master Cleanse to lose weight fast for movie role, millions heard.

(on camera) The liquid diet, made of lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water, is also embraced by Hollywood power couple, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. But for all its famous fans, not everyone is cheering.

DR. NAOMI NEUFELD, ENDOCRINOLOGIST: If it`s undertaken in someone that doesn`t know better, just at the edge of diabetes, just at the edge of high blood pressure, that`s a recipe for disaster.

Dr. Naomi Neufeld is a pediatric endocrinologist and founder of the family-based weight management program, "Kid Shape." While her concerns about the Master Cleanse run deep, she isn`t against Hollywood`s enthusiasm for all detox diets, including Organic Avenue, the Blueprint Cleanse, and iZO Cleanze.

NEUFELD: There are several of these programs that are based on the intake of limited amounts of whole fruits and whole vegetables that are blenderized. And for a short time, with adequate vitamin supplementation, that`s not bad.

ANDERSON: Hollywood`s elite like Reese Witherspoon, Mandy Moore and Patricia Heaton all subscribe to iZO Cleanze.

TIM MARTIN, FOUNDER AND CEO, IZO CLEANZE: The iZO Cleanze is an organic vegan super-food detox program.

ANDERSON: In 2005, Tim Martin turned his decade-long passion for fresh juicing into a nationwide daily delivery program.

MARTIN: About 12 drinks per day, consisting of fresh organic juices, Chinese herbal teas, almond milk with super-foods added and a gentle herbal laxative to keep everything moving.

ANDERSON: Elaine Wilkes, nutritionist and author of "Nature`s Secret Messages Hidden in Plain Sight" has used the cleanse twice and credits it with giving her clearer skin, sharper focus and peace. She now recommends Martin`s program to many of her clients.

ELAINE WILKES, NUTRITIONIST: One guy - I saw him at the beginning of the cleanse and then I saw him two weeks later. He was getting out of his car and I looked at him and I go, "John? John?" He looked like a different person. His skin was just - it was just - I was flabbergasted, really.

ANDERSON: Of course, being flabbergasted comes with a price. $100 a day for the home delivery program or $300 a week for the do-it-yourself version.

WILKES: I mean, you can do the same thing on your dime for $20. You don`t need to do thousands of dollars, unless you`ve got, you know, an unlimited source of income. In that case, you know, go for it.

ANDERSON: Which is likely why many in Hollywood have.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

Other stars who have reportedly tried diet cleanses - Anne Hathaway and Giuliana Rancic. But remember, if you decide to do a diet detox cleanse, you should always check with your doctor first.

HAMMER: Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is about to name the most provocative celebrity of the week. Who is it going to be? Maybe LeAnn Rimes who sings about cheating in a brand-new song? Her marriage ended after she cheated.

Kanye West - he apologizes to former President George Bush and then goes off on the "Today" show and Matt Lauer. What about Michael Jackson`s family? Their bombshell interview revealed incredible details about M.J.`s kids. Well, we are about to reveal who we name and who we think it should be. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Justin Bieber to rap on a mixtape as his alter ego "Shawty Mane." Christina Aguilera debuts new music vide for her new movie, "Burlesque."

(MUSIC)

ANDERSON: It is that time for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT to name the most provocative celebrity of the week and to see who you picked.

HAMMER: Brooke, let`s get right to our nominees this week. LeAnn "I cheated on my husband with Eddie Cibrian" Rimes and her brand-new song about cheating women.

Kanye West for apologizing to President George W. Bush for saying the president didn`t like black people, then launching a dramatic war of words with Matt Lauer and the "Today" show.

And maybe it will be Michael Jackson`s family. Their interview with Oprah, especially M.J.`s kids, really got everybody talking this week.

ANDERSON: Before the big reveal, A.J., we`ve got to talk about the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook fans who cast their vote for most provocative. So A.J., who did they pick?

HAMMER: Yes. I`ve got that right here, Brooke. The results finally just handed to me moments ago. Forty-seven percent of our Facebook fans who voted think that Kanye West is the most provocative celebrity of the week.

But now, it is time for our big reveal. May have I a drum roll, please?

We agree with our Facebook fans. Look at this, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT naming Kanye West as the most provocative celebrity of the week. Brooke Anderson, you were a big part of the voting force here at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT when we tabulated all the votes. You cast yours. Was that your pick?

ANDERSON: Absolutely. No question. A.J., I just feel that Kanye West has picked a fight with Matt Lauer and the "Today" show that essentially does not make a whole lot of sense and his tweets are not successfully clarifying anything at all.

I just feel like he`s so tightly wound he could explode at any moment. I just wish he could simmer down, A.J., for his own sake. He`s only hurting himself.

HAMMER: Yes. Reel it back in. All right. As we move in, what Miley Cyrus` dad just did is definitely provocative. Billy Ray Cyrus walks out of a radio interview.

Now, radio deejay Woody Johnson of "Woody and the Wake-Up Call" show in Nashville asked Miley`s father about his pending divorce from his wife, Tish. Now, the Cyruses split.

It really came as a shocker to most people, so it could not have been unexpected that Billy Ray was going to be asked about it. If he didn`t want to answer it, he could have said something polite and just moved on. Listen.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

WOODY JOHNSON, RADIO HOST, "WOODY AND THE WAKE-UP CALL": What I have to ask because you are a celebrity and we`ve always heard -

BILLY RAY CYRUS, COUNTRY SINGER: Yes.

JOHNSON: Your marriage is going -

B. CYRUS: You know what?

JOHNSON: I`m sorry.

B. CYRUS: Woody Johnson -

JOHNSON: I had to ask you.

B. CYRUS: Woody Johnson -

JOHNSON: Yes, sir.

B. CYRUS: God bless America. God bless our troops. Woody Johnson -

JOHNSON: Yes, sir?

B. CYRUS: Look at you.

JOHNSON: Don`t be mad at me.

B. CYRUS: Oh, I`m not mad at you. Have a good day, brother. Are you done now? Are you done?

JOHNSON: All right. I had to ask, Billy. I`m sorry I had to ask.

B. CYRUS: I won`t talk to you again.

JOHNSON: I`m sorry.

B. CYRUS: You`re disgusting.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Now, deejay Woody Johnson just tweeted this, "I`ve always liked Billy Ray Cyrus and still do, but was taken aback by his reaction to my question."

And I`ve got to say, Brooke, I`ve always liked Billy Ray Cyrus and I`m a little surprised that that`s how he handled it.

ANDERSON: Yes, you know, I`m sure it`s a sensitive, painful situation and that`s understandable. It`s a tough subject to deal with. But he had to know the question was coming so I think he could have handed it better, more delicately.

HAMMER: There`s always next time. And that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday.

HAMMER: And we`re still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific here on HLN.
