ANDERSON (on-camera): Hi there. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today. Tiger`s eye opener. Tiger Woods is speaking out today and addressing his shocking sex scandal nearly a year after it crumbled his billion dollar good guy image. We are hearing Tiger in his own words speaking more candidly than ever about his darkest hours, his children and the stunning reason why he`s actually grateful for the scandal.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Tiger is fighting to rebuild his image. Just this week, he penned a confessional essay for "Newsweek," did a 20- minute live radio interview, and launched his own Twitter account. But is it enough to prove that Tiger can really change his stripes? Joining me right now from New York is Ben Widdicombe who is the celebrity journalist, and with me right now in Hollywood, Wendy Walsh with a TV journalist and doctor of psychology.
Now, Ben, Wendy, I`m not sure I have ever heard Tiger this candid, this forthright about his explosive cheating scandal. In his brand new interview with ESPN Radio and his essay in "Newsweek," he`s very honest. He`s very open. Tiger tells ESPN Radio`s, "Mike & Mike In The Morning" that he`s a changed man he says. Listen.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are you a happier man today than you were then?
TIGER WOODS, GOLFER: Infinitely. Infinitely.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Why?
WOODS: I`m just more clear. More clear about my perspective, more clear about who I am, where I want to go. It`s just amazing, you know, how much better I feel internally each and every day, how thankful I am to have the connection I have with my kids and the people who mean the most to me.

ANDERSON: OK. Tiger says he`s got a lot of perspective now. He says, you heard him, that he`s actually infinitely happier now. Ben, do you believe him? Is he a changed man?
BEN WIDDICOMBE, CELEBRITY JOURNALIST: Well, I do believe him, and I think two things are going on with this confessional that he`s been doing. I think that it`s part of his personal healing process, and I think that maybe his management might have suggested that if he ever wants to get back to the level of multi-million dollar endorsements that he had before the scandal, that the public needs to see this kind of contrition. I believe he`s very sorry for what he did. I believe that he would take it back if he could, and of course, it cost him his wife.
ANDERSON: I believe he`s trying to change, of course. And as I mentioned, Tiger also opened up in an essay he wrote for newsweek.com. I want to bring in SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter right now, because, Kareen, it seems to me that in this essay, he`s really owning up to what he did.
KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT: Or at least trying to, Brooke. That essay is called "How I Redefine Victory," and he talks about golf and how it helped his bad behavior. Listen to this, he writes "Golf is a self- centered game in ways good and bad, so much depends on one`s own abilities. But for me, that self-reliance made me think I could tackle the world by myself. It made me think that if I was successful in golf, then I was invincible. Now I know that no matter how tough or strong we are, we all need to rely on others."
Brooke, he sounds like, you know, he`s really spent a lot of time thinking about what`s happened within him within the last year.
ANDERSON: Yes. And he`s had a lot of time to think about it. Wendy, when you hear what Tiger is saying about his actions, do you think he`s a changed man now?
WENDY WALSH, TV JOURNALIST: Two words -- yes, but.
(LAUGHTER)
WALSH: If it`s true that he has some kind of sexual addiction, to have a dramatic healing in 12 months, you know, this is not really possible. This thing is going to be a Tiger he has to walk for the rest of his life. And so, this feels more like marketing to me. And it also doesn`t feel entirely authentic. How did he say, thanks for hanging in there with me during my journey. Thanks you so much. I`m still working on things, then I think he would have been on the road to being forgiven by the public, but it`s sort of like OK. I`m all done now, and I`m back.
ANDERSON: Well, I don`t know. I think he still kind of made it sound like it is a work in progress. He did thank his fans for being so, so, so supportive. But, you know, it`s not lost on anyone all the same that Tiger has taken a lot of hits on his career, on his public image, as well as the very public breakup of his marriage, of course.
A lot of people were shocked when a few months after the scandal broke, Tiger did that controversial Nike ad with Tiger listening to the voice of his deceased father, remember that? Tiger tells "Mike & Mike In The Morning" that he did the ad because he wanted to symbolize that he was turning over a new leaf.

WOODS: I think I learned being more in perspective about my life, who I was and where I need to go. I just wasn`t the person I used to be. I wasn`t the person that my mom and dad raised me to be, and I knew that. And, you know, that`s something -- one of the reasons why I thought the commercial ad was actually a good one to run because I was moving forward, and I was leaving that life behind.

ANDERSON: OK. So, tiger says that he`s leaving his bad behavior behind him and, you know, Ben, I just -- I just want to know. The jury is still out, of course. So, I want to know, what is it going to take to convince people that he is sincere and he is changing?
WIDDICOMBE: Well, I think people have a lot of love for Tiger still. Obviously, he`ll never be the hero that he was before the scandal, Brooke, but I think people are basically behind him. A lot depends on how he does in sport as well. If he can go back to his winning streak, his incredible winning ways, I think that will earn the respect of a lot of people.
ANDERSON: Yes.
WIDDICOMBE: But if his career peters out, then, you know, it may be the end of him as far as the public is concerned.
ANDERSON: I know. The golf game is a little bit shaky right now. He`s got to improve that as well as everything else before he can move on for sure. OK. I do want to move now to big news breaking today about Tony Parker because Tony reveals today that he knew Eva Longoria was filing for divorce. Kareen, what`s Tony saying?
WYNTER: Brooke, Tony is trying to set the record straight. He`s telling people.com, "Eva and I have been discussing our situation privately. I was aware that she would be filing for divorce in Los Angeles. I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in either Texas or California. We planned to keep our discussions of this matter private."
Well, we know it has not been private. And Brooke, what`s interesting here, there`s no mention about those texts he was reportedly exchanging with a fellow NBA player`s estranged wife.
ANDERSON: Yes, you`re right. He`s speaking about everything but that. Tony and this woman allegedly exchanged texts to lean on each other as both their marriages fell apart, that`s according to reports. I think it`s totally inappropriate to exchange intimate texts with someone outside your marriage behind your spouse`s back, which leads me to the showbiz flashpoint. Do intimate texts count as cheating? Wendy, what do you say?
WALSH: Absolutely. That counts as emotional cheating. You know my favorite study, asked married women, would they prefer that their husband see a prostitute for one hour a week or have a long, lingering emotional, platonic lunch with his secretary. Guess what they chose?
ANDERSON: The first?
WALSH: The first, because, you know, an emotional betrayal means that he could live the whole family and take his money with him, right?
ANDERSON: That he (INAUDIBLE).
WALSH: You know, there`s a defined thing. We know that men can separate sex and emotions. So, we know that they can, you know, quantify and spend one little bit amount of money for one hour, but could you imagine if he`s having these close, emotional intimacy.
ANDERSON: Yes. Even if nothing physical happened, the intimacy or the emotions quite attached (ph), it`s not right.
WALSH: He should be talking to a buddy, not a hot woman.
ANDERSON: That`s right. It`s destructive to your relationship. Ben, to the showbiz flashpoint, what do you think? Do intimate texts count as cheating?
WIDDICOMBE: Well, I think, when you hit the male on the head, he should have been talking about it to a buddy, not to a woman. And, you know, the texts that were reportedly about how commiserating with her about his marriage was over, too. So, I don`t know how Eva contrastive (ph) off the texts something like that to this woman.
ANDERSON: Yes. The marriage was already on fin (ph). I see texts do nothing, but drive the nail into the coffin. Ben Widdicombe, Wendy Walsh, good to see you both. Thanks.

There is massive outrage sweeping the nation over the fact that a trip to the airport has become rather riskee. TSA agents getting all hands on, body scanners exposing naughty bits, but SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you today there`s only one way to get through all this TSA TMI. Pack your sense of humor. Here`s CNNs Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

JEANNE MOOS, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Not since Monica Lewinski has there been such sexy talk in public.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Having people feeling their underwear, feels up my wife in front of everyone!
MOOS: But all this feeling up has left some feeling down.
(SINGING) I don`t like the TSA.
MOOS: Jonathan Man (ph) is known for creating a song a day.
(SINGING) They scare me with their x-ray before they grope me, which is not OK.
MOOS (on-camera): The thing is one man`s pat-down is another man`s grope.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This pat-down.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Grope down.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`ve been patted down.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Groping your junk.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Advance pat-down.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I have had my love pats.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: When they grope me, I`m going to say, do I get a lap dance with this?
MOOS: Only on "Saturday Night Live," this old skit feels brand new.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It`s just checking the back pockets, checking it with the back of the hand, and now, I`m going to use the front of my hand.
(LAUGHTER)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Just security procedure, sir, and for the last thing what I need to do is I`m going to search the inside of your mouth with my mouth.
MOOS: Taiwanese animators have given the screening controversy their special twist, noting, for instance, the passengers who refuse a scan can get a private pat down.
(SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGE)
MOOS: And concluding that no one knows how far security measures will eventually go. But look where they`ve already gone.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The product is called flying pasties.
MOOS: Rubber shields you insert under your clothes made with materials that deflect the scanners to hide your private parts for women and men.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Which one did the old man wear?
(LAUGHTER)
MOOS: They come emblazon with one-liners like objects are larger than they appear. Just hiding my junk, and even the fourth amendment protecting against unreasonable searches. In a Skype interview from Thailand, flying pasty spokesman, Mike Francis, said, he thinks TSA agents can read the one- liners on their scanners through your clothes.
MOOS (on-camera): They`d pull you out for special attention because that would look like you`re the underwear bomber because you have these pasties on.
MIKE FRANCIS, SPOKESMAN, FLYING PASTIES: Our advice all along is to say I`m wearing something called the flying pasty and just covers my privates parts, and I just want to maintain my dignity.
MOOS (voice-over): Ah, yes, dignity. I was groped by the TSA and all I got was this lousy T-shirt. We have entered the age of the audacity of grope.

OK. Moving to this, the "Dancing With The Stars" mirror ball trophy could have a new home in Alaska that`s if Bristol Palin shimmies away with the win. A Bristol win could turn into the biggest reality show controversy ever. So many conspiracy theories, so much drama. We`re getting all kinds of calls into "Showbiz On Call" phone lines about this. I can tell you people are not holding back. Wanda from Kentucky says everybody needs to back off Bristol.

WANDA FROM KENTUCKY: Bristol Palin has worked very hard to get where she is. She`s worked as hard as any of the other dancers, and you`re not supposed to be a professional dancer to be on that show. So, I think everybody should just give the girl a break.

ANDERSON (on-camera): Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today. It`s a Showbiz Special Event, biggest break-up blunders.
Eva Longoria`s marriage meltdown with her husband Tony Parker is just one of the star split scandals that have exposed an even uglier side to breaking up. And I can tell you that Eva may be regretting being so public in professing her undying love for her husband on national TV but should that be her biggest regret?
With me right now from New York, Ben Widdicombe, who`s a celebrity journalist and here in Hollywood, Wendy Walsh, who`s a TV journalist and doctor of psychology. OK. Ben, Wendy, I got to begin today with that television interview that Eva Longoria may be regretting doing in the first place. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on Ellen`s talk show that aired just a few weeks ago, Eva and Ellen joked about Eva and Tony`s recent three-year wedding anniversary. Watch.

DEGENERES: You just celebrated your third wedding anniversary with Tony.
EVA LONGORIA, ACTRESS: I know.
DEGENERES: It`s like the golden anniversary in Hollywood, right?
LONGORIA: Yes. We`re halfway there.
DEGENERES: You`re halfway there.
LONGORIA: If you can make it six years, you`ve done it. Tony surprises me every year. He won`t tell me what we`re going to do for the anniversary or my birthday.
DEGENERES: You didn`t know you were going there?
LONGORIA: I knew we were going to Croatia, but like the day of our anniversary, he always planned something. So, we went to this big castle and he planned us dinner and had some weird food, but --
DEGENERES: But he`s a (INAUDIBLE) romantic. So, he surprises you all the time?
LONGORIA: Yes.

ANDERSON: Yikes. Eva`s biggest regret could be, maybe, talking about her love so openly on television. But, you know, I think Eva was just being honest. I don`t think that should be her biggest regret. But Wendy, what do you think? Was her willingness to be so open, was it a big break- up blunder?
WALSH: I don`t think we should fault her for being in love with hope. I mean, she was in love with her guy. She was hoping and perceiving that it would continue with his little surprises and everything else, right? But it didn`t continue. And she knew there was trouble on the horizon, but she shouldn`t have to disclose it to everybody at that point.
ANDERSON: She was head over heels. You`re right.
WALSH: Now, we`re faulting people for saying something positive about their relationship?
ANDERSON: Yes, I agree. But we took our question to the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Facebook page today and Fussy K wrote on our wall. "I don`t know that Eva regrets her marriage. It started out as true love. She followed her heart. I`m sure the only regret she truly has is that their marriage failed." I couldn`t have said it better myself, Fussy K. Ben, what do you think was Eva`s biggest breakup blunder?
WIDDICOMBE: Well, I think he was in a difficult position because if she admits that any kind of flaw in her marriage, any trouble in paradise at all, journalists like me are going to jump on it and say, well, you know, their marriage is over. So, I think to some extent, she has to lie a little bit. Now, what`s interesting about this is that Tony, of course, texted this woman allegedly that their marriage was dead, that it was over. So, she had to have been feeling some of that, and I think she was just trying to put the bravest face she possibly could on it.
ANDERSON: Yes. And Tony actually joined her on that show, on that episode of Ellen. She sat in his lap. They appeared completely content and happy. It`s sad.
All right. I got to move now to another breakup blunder today. LeAnn Rimes`s breakup with her ex-husband, Dean Sheremet, after LeAnn hooked up with the then-married, Eddie Cibrian. In an interview with ABC`s Robin Roberts, LeAnn revealed to Robin that if it weren`t for her fame, cheating would have been no big deal. Watch.

LEANN RIMES, ACTRESS: It happens every day to so many people, and if I take away my album sales, my awards and you have just another couple, you had two couples whose marriages didn`t work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love. And never, ever was I thinking of hurting someone.

ANDERSON: It happens every day, Wendy. Sure, but I think, LeAnn is trivializing infidelity in a way. Do you think this interview was her biggest breakup blunder?
WALSH: I think so, and I`ll tell you why. I think that she would win more fans among the allegiance of women out there if she at least expressed some grain of regret, some grain of remorse like, I feel so bad what`s happened to his ex-wife, and we`re all going to have to work together to raise those kids.
ANDERSON: She has not said that.
WALSH: She hasn`t mentioned her at all, you know? And maybe it`s because she doesn`t have children herself. Who knows that underneath she`s not envious that this woman has her lover`s children.
ANDERSON: Right. Right. Could be.
WALSH: But, you know, really, she`s got to come clean and show that she`s got some compassion for the ex-wife, too.
ANDERSON: Yes. She didn`t do herself any favors I don`t think with that interview. And I say, you know, hurting their spouses, the betrayal selfishly causing pain to their two young children, that should be their biggest and her biggest regret for sure.

WIDDICOMBE: I think it was a blunder. I think it show as lack of compassion because there were children in the relationship, which makes all the difference. If it was just two marriages and, you know, one half of each couple decided they didn`t want the old partner and they wanted a new partner, that would be one thing. But there are two young children here.
And I think she needs to show a little bit more compassion for what they`re going to think. And they`re the ones getting hurt in the situation. So, it`s not just her, it`s not just him, it`s the kids that she should be thinking about.
ANDERSON: Yes. And I just want to say Eddie Cibrian is not innocent in this. It takes two to tango and he should also, I think, be very contrite especially to his children and to his ex.
All right. I don`t think any investigation into the biggest break-up blunders today would be complete, you guys, today without David Arquette`s admission to Howard Stern on Howard Sirius satellite radio show about all sorts of things, including his sex life. Listen to this little nugget.

Well, we also took this one to the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page today and Caroline E. wrote on our Facebook wall that the biggest break-up blunder that all of these star couples have made is being so public about such a private matter, which is what we were just talking about, Wendy. I got to say, David speaking so shamelessly on a live radio show was completely insensitive. He did later apologize. Ben, so at least David saw the big break-up blunder train rolling into the station, right?
WIDDICOMBE: Well, a little bit too late I think, Brooke. I mean, wow, of all the ungentlemanly, ungallant things to say. I mean, I think he knocks John Mayer as the previous title holder of worst break-up after he gave the press conference on the street when he broke up with Jennifer Aniston. This is even worse. I think he, unfortunately, has the very uncoveted (ph) crown of worst break-up blunder ever.
ANDERSON: Yes, and he certainly regrets it. He did apologize. Ben Widdicombe, Wendy Walsh, thank you both.
WALSH: Thank you.
ANDERSON: OK. Chris Brown is getting a lot of praise today.

Susan Boyle`s brand new Beatles milestone, doing something no one has done in four decades.
And Cher leaves a permanent mark in Hollywood.

ANDERSON (voice-over): Cher cements her legacy. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there as the Oscar-winning actress had her hand and footprints immortalized in concrete at the legendary Grauman`s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. With her transgender son, Chaz, at her side, Cher took heart in the great Hollywood tradition as she promotes her new film, "Burlesque," with Christina Aguilera.
Boyle`s Beatles milestone. Susan Boyle just became the first performer since the Beatles to have the number one album in both the U.S. and the U.K. according to Sony. It`s been more than 40 years since anyone`s accomplished the rare feat. The Beatles did it in 1969 and the Monkeys in 1967.
Chris Brown`s court victory. TMZ is reporting a judge just gave Chris Brown another glowing review during his progress report hearing.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have. And I really want to commend you for taking responsibility.
ANDERSON: It`s the second straight time Brown`s gotten a good review from the court.

ANDERSON (on-camera): OK. Chris Brown got a nice pat on the back from the judge, but I got to tell you, today, a lot of people are saying that the judge went too far in praising Chris Brown.
Right now, in New York, K. Foxx who is a radio host of hot 97 morning show in New York, and right now on Hollywood is David Caplan. He`s the managing editor of toofab.com. Kaye Fox, David, Chris brown truly, truly shocked and disappointed the nation after he brutally beat up his then girl friend, Rihanna.
It was right before the Grammys nearly two years ago. How can we forget? He was sentenced to five years probation. On Thursday, when Chris went to court for a probation hearing, the judge was just singing his praises. Watch.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I note that you will have finished your domestic violence counseling program in just seven more sessions, which is excellent, and that you had a considerable number of community service hours to complete, and I have verified that you have now completed 581 hours. So, that is also commendable. Very commendable.

ANDERSON: So, the judge gives Chris Brown high marks. And I got to tell you, I think, Chris is really setting a positive example here that even when you screw up and, boy, did he screw up, you can try to turn your life around. But, David, today, some people are saying wait, hold on, Chris Brown has not done nearly enough to make up for the harm that not only he caused Rihanna but that he caused his fans. What do you think?
DAVID CAPLAN, MANAGING EDITOR, TOOFAB.COM: Yes, I was really surprised after listening to the judge, and it`s so amazing to hear this glowing thing. First of all, he hasn`t even done half of his community service yet. I mean, he`s done about 600 and he has like (INAUDIBLE) to do. You really haven`t seen him out there. You think sometimes a celebrity in that situation would do PSAs for example, against it, a lot more work to really reach out to his fans.
And I really don`t think that we`ve seen that. I mean, his behavior hasn`t been over the top. Remember, shortly afterwards, he was spotted jet skiing in Miami.
ANDERSON: That`s true.
CAPLAN: And he hasn`t done any of that behavior. So, we haven`t heard really many sort of like tabloid spotter tales.
ANDERSON: Yes.
CAPLAN: But I just don`t feel there`s --
ANDERSON: Maybe the judge was going for the positive reinforcement, keep him going. Whatever works.
CAPLAN: I mean, really, like he hasn`t even done half of his community service yet.
ANDERSON: Yes. That`s a great point. That`s a great point, David. Whether or not, you know, people are ready to move on. Chris Brown is certainly ready to move on because, you know, he wants to remind people that he is a talented singer. He`s even got two songs on the Billboard top 100 right now.
K. Foxx, you cover all this stuff. You`ve been covering it for years. Chris is clearly trying to put his troubles behind him. But do you think enough people believe him and are willing to do the same, put it all behind them?
K. FOXX, RADIO HOST, NEW YORK`S HOT 97 MORNING SHOW: Well, you know, by no means do I condone a man hitting a woman ever. What he did was definitely wrong, but he is going to his community service. He is completing his domestic violence programs. And I think that, you know, it`s time to just move on, forgive him and worry about other things and see what he does from here on out. You know, I think that --
ANDERSON: We will have to see what he does. Yes, we`ll have to see. Time will tell, Chris Brown. And Chris, I`m sorry to tell you but you are not SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s most provocative celebrity of the week. But here are this week`s nominees.

An overwhelming number of you think that "Glee" was wrong for doing so. Eighty-six percent of you think "Glee" was way out of line here, but 14 percent of you say no big deal.
