HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - heartbreak in Hollywood. There are brand-new dramatic revelations today in the Courteney Cox-David Arquette split.

HAMMER: That`s right, Brooke. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you David Arquette is laying it all on the line, telling the world all about his emotional rollercoaster since he and Courteney broke up.

Arquette has already spilled a lot of intimate details about his and Courteney`s sex life and even his sex life with other women since the separation. But today, we`re hearing a brand-new emotional interview of Arquette talking to Howard Stern and even going as far as saying this breakup is leading to a big break down.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

HOWARD STERN, RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: Are you having a nervous break down?

ARQUETTE: I believe so - yes.

STERN: I`m being serious.

ARQUETTE: No, I`m being serious, too. Everybody`s worried and concerned about me.

STERN: Are you seeing a psychiatrist?

ARQUETTE: Yes.

STERN: OK. You`re talking to someone?

ARQUETTE: Yes.

STERN: You going a couple days a week?

ARQUETTE: No.

STERN: No?

ARQUETTE: Just one day a week.

STERN: All right. When you say you think you`re having a nervous breakdown -

ARQUETTE: Yes.

STERN: What did you say to him?

ARQUETTE: I said that to him. And he says, "Oh, I don`t think you are.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: David clearly dealing with a sore throat there and it`s clear to me that David is dealing with a lot of pain. That leads to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - is sharing his pain publicly actually good for him? And personally, I think sharing his pain is his way of dealing with this.

Rachel Zalis, contributing editor for "Life and Style Weekly," to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - is David sharing his pain publicly actually good for him? What do you think?

RACHEL ZALIS, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, "LIFE AND STYLE WEEKLY": Oh, my god. All I can say is paging Dr. Drew. I mean, this guy is like one crazy cocktail away from checking into "Celebrity Rehab."

So I mean, I think, like, Howard Stern has become his personal therapist. This is unbelievable. He was like this before he married Courteney. She probably suppressed it a bit, and now all the kookiness is coming out again. And hey, if that`s what makes him feel better at this point, but - I don`t know.

HAMMER: But I think it is coming from a place of pain. I think it`s very cathartic for him to talk to Howard about this and Howard is very easy for him to talk to about this.

Let`s go to Hyla. Hyla is the co-host of the nationally syndicated, "The Hollywood 5."

What do you think, Hyla? Is sharing his pain publicly actually good for David Arquette?

HYLA, CO-HOST, "THE HOLLYWOOD 5": This is a great thing for David. This is a great thing for us. Listen, we gave Tiger such a hard time for not talking. And here`s a guy controlling the story. He`s sharing his raw emotions.

I don`t think he`s doing it for publicity. We get to watch the anatomy of a separation as it happens. How relatable is that for most people in this country? This is an excellent thing for him and I`m glad his doing it.

And I want help to keep doing it. He`s not being malicious. He`s not being mean. He`s just sharing his true genuine feelings. And we need to applaud him for that.

HAMMER: Yes. I don`t think it`s for publicity at all. And in Arquette`s brand-new interview with Howard Stern, David made another shocking revelation. He said he`s been using alcohol as way of coping with the separation. Listen now as he talks about that.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

ARQUETTE: I`ve been drinking a lot, but I -

ROBIN QUIVERS, HOWARD STERN`S CO-HOST: Have you?

ARQUETTE: Yes.

QUIVERS: Why are you doing that?

ARQUETTE: I am not anymore.

STERN: He`s having fun.

ARQUETTE: No. Because I`m heartbroken, but I don`t want to go into all that. But it`s a really personal, traumatic thing.

STERN: So the drinking is maybe to cover up how bad you`re feeling.

ARQUETTE: Oh, definitely. Are you kidding?

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: It is good to see that David recognized that he does have an issue with the amount of drinking he`s been doing. And he says it is something that he won`t be doing for a long time to come now.

But that`s it, Rachel. I`m guessing, judging by what you said earlier, you`re thinking that we should be worried about David at this point.

ZALIS: Well, obviously. I mean, he`s spinning out of control. He`s drinking, you know, talking about sleeping around with the bartender. I mean, obviously, he`s dealing with his pain in a very - in a way that`s probably not the best for him. But I guess what Hyla was saying in a good way, he is dealing with this. He`s speaking about it -

HAMMER: Yes.

ZALIS: So he`s obviously looking to get some help. I mean, I think the craziest part of his confession is that he said his rock-bottom was when he called Tom Cruise "Sean." I mean -

HAMMER: Yes. That was the part -

(CROSS TALK)

You didn`t hear that here but he was at a party. He said he had been drinking. And yes, he saw Tom Cruise and called him "Sean" accidentally.

And here`s the thing. I actually think there`s a chance, whether he`s doing it consciously or unconsciously, maybe David continues to speak out because - I don`t know - he knows that Courteney, who he still clearly loves, is going to hear all about it.

But Brooke Anderson, David Arquette is just one of the celebrities who have made big headlines for explosive confessions.

ANDERSON: Yes, A.J. From outrageous reality show battles to star wars of words, Hollywood`s biggest stars continue to shock us with their very public words and their out-of-control behavior. But who has the most shocking tell-all?

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) David Arquette`s shock jock interview following his split from Courteney Cox.

(MUSIC)

Lady Gaga`s controversial cocaine use confession.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Portia!

ANDERSON: And Portia De Rossi`s brave book on her battle against eating disorders. These celebrities spilled some serious secrets. So which star aired the dirtiest laundry? Perhaps David Arquette -

ARQUETTE: My sex with Courteney is kind of, you know, scheduled to a certain degree.

ANDERSON: Talk about TMI. David seemingly couldn`t stop sharing information on his separation from Courteney to Howard Stern.

ARQUETTE: She said to me, "I don`t want to be your mother anymore."

ANDERSON: David also dropped some angry F-bombs.

ARQUETTE: I spent 11 years of my marriage, the most faithful man in the whole (EXPLETIVE DELETED) word.

ANDERSON: Entertainment journalist Maggie Furlong tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Arquette`s tirade broke all of Hollywood`s golden rules.

MAGGIE FURLONG, WEST COAST EDITOR, AOL TV AND MOVIEFONE: I still can`t handle the fact that David Arquette was allowed on Howard Stern. Who is his publicist and why didn`t they stop him?

ANDERSON: So what about a guy`s perspective on this? "Inside Edition`s" Jim Moret -

JIM MORET, CHIEF CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": I almost drove of the road. What is he saying? Just stick with the "I love my wife. I want to get back with her."

ANDERSON: From mind blowing wreak breakups to blow of a different kind. The always provocative Lady Gaga told "Vanity Fair" she`s an occasional cocaine user. Quote, "I won`t lie. It`s occasional. And when I say occasional, I mean maybe a couple of times a year."

FURLONG: Huge shock - huge, huge shock. Lady Gaga, what are you doing to me? You know, the meat dress is a good indication that something may not be all there with her.

ANDERSON: Lady Gaga told "Vanity Fair" a family intervention saved her from drug abuse. And while she said she hadn`t quite kicked her habit, Gaga doesn`t want her little monster fans following in her footsteps saying, quote, "I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way. I don`t want my fans to think they have to be that way to be great."

MORET: She knows that she`s all about image and brand and marketing. But she also knows millions of young women, millions of young people look up to her. And when she says, "I kicked drugs," that`s admirable.

And I think that a lot of people struggle with a lot of things and there`s nothing wrong with revealing that. But when you say that "I still use cocaine and it makes me more creative," you know what? I think that`s irresponsible.

ANDERSON: A less-controversial but equally candid confession, Portia De Rossi disclosed details about her long battle against bulimia and anorexia in her book, "Unbearable Lightness."

PORTIA DE ROSSI, ACTRESS: I wanted to write this book from the perspective of the sick person.

OPRAH WINFREY, HOST, "THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW": Yes.

DE ROSSI: I thought it was so important to be so honest and to go so deeply

WINFREY: Into the crazy part?

DE ROSSI: Yes, the crazy part.

ANDERSON: Crazy thin. Portia reveals she shrunk down to a dangerous 82 pounds when working on the hit series, "Ally McBeal."

DE ROSSI: Living with anorexia and bulimia is hell. But chronic dieting is also hell.

MORET: Of all the shocking revelations we`ve heard all year, I think Portia De Rossi`s was the most inspirational and really the most positive and one that she could be proud she revealed.

ANDERSON: Now, healthy and happy with her wife, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia glowed when she made an appearance on Ellen`s show.

DE ROSSI: I don`t think that I`m perfect at all.

ELLEN DEGENERES, HOST, "THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW: I do.

DE ROSSI: Oh, come on.

FURLONG: She seems so strong now that you just want to get behind her. And it`s coming from a place of where she wants to teach people a lesson that are going through the same thing.

ANDERSON: Portia`s positive place is where we`ll wrap up the scene. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you as long as there are stars in the spotlight, can you bet more secrets will be spilled.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: And yes, I did really think Portia was brave with her revelations and, yes, could potentially help so many people dealing with similar issues.

But for most shocking, I`ve got to go with David Arquette for talking about his sex life with Courteney Cox and with other women after he and Courteney split.

But Hyla, what do you think? Which of these revelations was the most shocking to you?

HYLA: You know, Lady Gaga, a rock star doing cocaine? That`s kind of cliche. We`ve heard that a million times. Portia De Rossi, while it is a positive message - you know, a really hot woman having issues with her image. David Arquette talking about sex in such a way that -

ANDERSON: Yes.

ARQUETTE: Not a reality show star revealing - like, a real celebrity talking about his real life. That`s commendable and that`s definitely most shocking to me.

ANDERSON: Super quickly, Rachel Zalis, most shocking to you?

ZALIS: Oh, absolutely agree with what you guys are saying. The other one`s old news. You figure she`s a rock star. The other an eating disorder -

ANDERSON: Not too surprising.

ZALIS: But him willing to incur the wrath of Courteney Cox - shocking.

ANDERSON: Shocking. Provocative. Rachel Zalis, Hyla, thank you both. Good to see you.

HAMMER: Well, it was such a big year for Lady Gaga between her chart- topping success to being named, of course, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s most provocative celebrity of the year. But is she a bigger star than Justin Bieber?

(MUSIC)

Gaga`s got the monsters but Bieber has the fever. But who`s the bigger star, Gaga or the Bieb?

ANDERSON: There`s a brand-new Kardashian card controversy. No, the credit card. The Kardashian family Christmas card. The family revealed its seasons greetings, but do you think it`s merry or scary? And speaking of scary.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You know, do it without the vest. Hey!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. Did you see this? We all know Sean Diddy Combs throws the hot parties, but this one got a little too hot. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

It is time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Mel Gibson`s film "The Beaver" set for limited release on March 23rd. "The Fighter" and "The King`s Speech" tie for most SAG nominations with four each.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: You spent some time strengthening your diaphragm. Simple mechanics.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Fine.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Jack and Jill went up the hill.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. And Brooke, the lovely Julianne Moore is giving back in a big way today.

ANDERSON: She is, A.J. Julianne is on a crusade for kids. Julianne Moore is beautiful, a talented four-time Oscar-nominated actress and a mom. But it`s her childhood that`s inspired her to join Save the Children as an artist ambassador to help educate kids about the gift of reading. Here`s CNN`s Alina Cho for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with a terrific story of another big star who is doing some big giving today.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JULIANNE MOORE, ACTRESS/ARTIST AMBASSADOR: You know, when people say how did you become involved? Are you acting as a mother? As what you see as a mother. I`m like, no, it`s what I saw as a child.

CHO (voice-over): Before she was a glamorous actress -

(SINGING)

Julianne Moore was just Julie, an army brat.

MOORE: We moved a lot, and every time you move you, you know, you change schools. You`re in a completely new environment, and I think, you know, what you - what you learn pretty quickly as a kid moving around in the United States is that, you know, we`re not - it`s not all created equal. Everybody - everybody should have the same opportunity.

CHO: She moved around so much it was hard to keep friends. So books became her constant companion.

MOORE: One thing I say about reading, too, with children is that you can do anything if you can read.

UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: You did it! You did it!

CHO: That passion for reading has inspired her work as an artist ambassador with Save the Children where she spends time working on educational programs for the poor.

(on camera) You are very focused on helping people here in the United States.

MOORE: Well, it`s not that I don`t believe that there are many, many needy causes all over the world, but I do - I do believe that just in terms of poverty in our country, often people hide in plain sight. Because we have so much in the United States, sometimes, there`s a refusal to acknowledge what`s going on right here.

CHO: One in five children lives in poverty.

MOORE: Yes. One in five people - one in five children in the United States is in poverty. When you tell people that, they`re shocked. They`re absolutely shocked.

Once a upon time, there was a little girl who was just like everybody else.

CHO (voice-over): For Moore, one key way to lift kids out of poverty is through education.

(on camera) When you mentioned literacy, I know, that`s something that`s very close to your heart. You`ve written two books -

MOORE: Yes.

CHO: Which I`ve read.

MOORE: Thank you.

(CROSSTALK)

CHO: Children`s books about "Freckleface Strawberry," the nickname she hated as a child. The moral, look beyond what you see on the surface.

(on camera) You`re obviously so well known, how do the kids respond to you? I mean, do they -

MOORE: Oh, kids don`t care. You know, I mean, if I were Justin Bieber, for example, that would be exciting.

CHO (voice-over): But she`s a celebrity who can and wants to make a difference.

MOORE: If we are going to set an example, we need to help everybody here. We need to bring everybody to the same place. Then, we can really be effective in the rest of the world.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: What a wonderful effort. That was CNN`s Alina Cho for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

HAMMER: So Brooke, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines have been ringing all day today. A lot of people calling in after Black Eyed Peas front man, Will.I.Am said he was disgusted by the release of Michael Jackson`s now album.

ANDERSON: Yes, A.J. He says Michael did not want some of the material released to the public. And Eric called in to "Showbiz on Call" from Virginia and he agrees.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

ERIC, CALLER FROM VIRGINIA: I`m very, very totally upset with the whole new Michael Jackson album. Now, I`m a total hip-hop artist myself and I know Michael Jackson would not try to affiliate himself with the new hip- hop artists that are on his album.

That`s just nothing Michael Jackson would have done. I totally agree with Will.I.Am, as far as the way the contract was put together, that`s not Michael Jackson.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thank you, Eric.

HAMMER: We also heard from Ann calling into "Showbiz on Call" from Kentucky who says she likes Michael`s new single "Hold My Hand."

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

ANN, CALLER FROM KENTUCKY: I think Michael would be very pleased with this song. It shows the loving side of Michael and what really comes from Michael`s heart. If you don`t like the song, then you really wasn`t a Michael Jackson fan and you didn`t know what kind of music that he really loved.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thanks a lot, Ann. You can call us at "Showbiz on Call" and let us know what you think about this or anything that`s got you fired up.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

NICK CANNON, RADIO TALK SHOW HOST/MARIAH CAREY`S HUSBAND: On Friday, you will see my wife perform in front of the president and the first family for Christmas in Washington. She wanted to talk to - they actually even ironically enough questioned my wife about, you know, "So what are you having? Are you having twins?"

And she - at this point, she hadn`t told anybody anything because, like I said, doctors advised that we keep it to ourselves until we get further along and stuff. And because of the excitement, because of the emotion she was overwhelmed and she shared with the President and the First Lady that we are having twins.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Nick telling us that he thinks it will be fun to tell the twins someday that, yes, President Obama and First Lady Obama were the first to know about them and the fact that they were on the way. I think that`s pretty cool.

HAMMER: It`s a fierce fight, Brooke. And today, it is a smackdown like no other as SHOWBIZ TONIGHT lets two powerhouse superstars duke it out for the title of world domination. Let the war begin.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: He has the single most watched video in YouTube history.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: She was the first to pass a billion collective views. His was the most mentioned name on Facebook in 2010. She has more Facebook fans than any living person. He`s performed for the president of the United States. She`s performed for the queen of England.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga are officially music royalty. But between the two, who out-reigns the other?

KEITH CAULFIELD, ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, "BILLBOARD MAGAZINE": Who is the bigger pop star just in terms of sheer music sales? Easily Lady Gaga.

HAMMER: Keith Caulfield is the associate director of charts of "Billboard Magazine."

CAULFIELD: Gaga has sold 5.4 million albums to Bieber`s about four million. And in terms of track sales, Gaga has sold about 30 million tracks and Bieber sold about 10 million tracks.

She`s made over $100 million gross on tour over the past year, played over a hundred shows. Bieber has made something like $30 million on the road this past year, has played 50 something shows. Still a very good number but Gaga is clearly, you know, a monster on the road.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Of course it takes more than just iTunes and Ticket Master to call this fight. Twenty-four-year-old Gaga pounded the pavement for years in New York City before catching her break in less than half the time 16-year- old Bieber went from a YouTube wannabe to having music icons Usher and Justin Timberlake fighting over him.

JUSTIN BIEBER, POP STAR: They kind of both saw me and they saw my talent. And they were like, "Wow, I want to sign this kid."

HAMMER: In the end Usher won, became Bieber`s mentor and, in the process, gave his protege a priceless amount of street cred.

On example, Bieber`s appearance on "Saturday Night Live" helped generate more than seven million viewers while Gaga only hit 6.7 with the same gig.

NICK LACHEY, HOST, "THE SING OFF": I admire what Lady Gaga is doing. It`s not only my cup of tea, you know, music-wise. But you know, I think Justin Bieber seems like he`s got legitimate talent. He`s got a pretty (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

HAMMER: In fact, there is little that Justin Bieber isn`t handling. He`s already written an autobiography, has his own doll, a 3D movie and, of course, perhaps the most famous hair cut in the world.

LACHEY: I think, you know, they`re two great examples of, you know, the opportunities that are out there still, you know, instead of taking advantage of each and every one.

HAMMER: Merchandising aside, it`s Gaga`s seemingly incessant attraction to controversy which even overshadows Bieber fever. Bieber cancels a mall appearance. Gaga flips an entire baseball stadium.

Bieber breaks out a water gun on fans. Gaga wear as dress made from raw meat. Bieber sparks some PG gossip with Kim Kardashian. Gaga launches an R-rated lesbian rumor with Beyonce.

BEYONCE KNOWLES, POP STAR: You`ve been a bad, bad girl, Gaga.

HAMMER: While both stars` every move seems to make headlines, earn money or start an avalanche of activity online, even Gaga and Bieber would agree, it`s their fans that matter most.

BIEBER: I just, you know - I have a lot of great people surrounding me.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Bieber`s fans will probably fight you tooth-and-nail over their fandom. But Gaga fans are legion. They love their mama monster.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Personally, I think Bieber is more fun to say than Gaga. But the big question of supremacy still remains in the battle of Gaga versus Bieber. And that brings us to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint. Gaga versus Bieber - who is the bigger star?

Joining me right now from Hollywood, Rachel Zalis who is a contributing editor for "Life and Style" magazine. And right now, in New York, Shelley Wade, who is a radio host for Z100 in New York City. Let the battle of the megastars begin now.

And the first battleground today, of course, has to be Facebook. They were both very involved with this. Bieber won the honor of being the most mentioned name on Facebook. But Gaga has more Facebook fans than any living person.

So Rachel, off to you first. Do you think in this instance who can claim the Facebook frontier? Is it Gaga? Is it Bieber?

ZALIS: First of all, there is no contest between these two. Gaga is seriously going to be one of the most powerful people in pop. It will go down in the books. And in term of Facebook, she`s the first person to have 10 million fans.

I mean, she`s caused so much traffic. Mark Zuckerberg should be cutting her in for a piece of that pie, one more person to add to the list.

HAMMER: All right.

ZALIS: I mean, she`s just a worldwide phenomenon. It`s unbelievable.

HAMMER: OK. Hold on a second. Don`t get ahead of yourself, Rachel, because we`re still making our case here. This just started the battle without another (UNINTELLIGIBLE). Well, controversy, of course, is among the different ways.

One example of Gaga stirring the pot - you`ll remember she flipped off an entire stadium of Yankees fans. Bieber raised a lot of eyebrows about that speculation about his relationship with Kim Kardashian, the thought of which really upset a lot of his young fans.

But some of our fans on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall say Gaga does have this category. I want to get to this comment. It`s Jen M. writing, "Lady Gaga all the way because she always comes up with some crazy idea, for example, the meat outfit."

Shelley Wade in the category of controversy, Jen M., in my mind, is right here that the Biebs can`t top the meat dress. Gaga wins this one, right?

SHELLEY WADE, RADIO SHOW HOST, Z100: I think Gaga wins as far as being more controversial, of course, we`re talking about Gaga all the time, whether it`s her outfits or, as you guys are talking about earlier, the revelation that she uses drugs, you know, and the revelation that, wow, she`s got a meat costume or what is she doing with her hair? You know, she always causes controversy and we`re always talking about Gaga.

HAMMER: All right. Well, as the battle of the Biebs and Gaga continues, let us now go to this category. It is pure fan power. Of course, Gaga has legions of fans, all those little monsters out there. And Bieber, the tried-and-true pack of screaming girls with Bieber fever.

In fact, his fans so fears he actually had to break up a fight with a few of them after he threw one of his sweaty towels into the audience. Take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BIEBER: No. No. You can`t fight here. No one`s going to get hurt. No one`s going to get hurt. Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. Rachel, hear me out now. Sure, Gaga has all the little monsters, but Bieber has all the screaming, raging, hormonal girls. So who wins the battle here over pure fan power in your mind?

ZALIS: Oh, come on, it`s absolutely Gaga. Those screaming girls have nothing on the monsters. That army has a mass and they are taking over the world. I mean, this woman`s reach and influence far surpasses any fan that Bieber has.

HAMMER: OK, I see where you`re going with all this. The SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall, by the way, has been blowing up over this topic, over this flashpoint, who`s the bigger star.

This comment coming in from Shay T. on our wall, "Justin Bieber, no question. Walk into a junior high and those groups of girls will be talking about Justin Bieber and his new hit song, not how hot Lady Gaga`s plastic dress was."

I know, Shelley Wade, a lot of fans from your radio show are huge Bieber fans and huge Gaga fans. For your money, who, when it comes to fan power, wins in this category?

WADE: I have to tell you, I interviewed both of them like about a year before they both hit it really big. And both of them really have passionate fans. But I have to give this one to the people with Bieber fever. When I interviewed Justin a year before he become famous -

HAMMER: Yes.

WADE: There were girls - throngs of girls outside with Bieber fever shirts on. They are all about him. I give this one to Bieber.

HAMMER: All right. And I`m going to stay with you, Shelley Wade, because I already know Rachel Zalis, in the flashpoint, who is the bigger star, is going with Gaga. Who do you go with?

WADE: I go with Gaga, at the risk of dissenting. I`m sorry, Bieber fans. I love him, too, but I`d go with Gaga.

HAMMER: Fair enough. We`re going to leave it there. Rachel Zalis, Shelley Wade, I thank you both.

And now, we`re going to turn it over to you for our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll - "Lady Gaga Versus Justin Bieber: Who do you think is the bigger star?" Let us know. I think it`s going to be tighter than people think on this. You can vote at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. E-mail showbiztonight@cnn.com.

ANDERSON: Well, there`s a brand-new Kardashian card controversy today. The Kardashians reveal their family Christmas card. I think it`s merry, but some are saying it`s scary?

HAMMER: Did you hear what Winona Ryder said about Mel Gibson? Why is Winona calling Mel anti-Semitic and homophobic in a brand-new interview?

Plus, this -

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: A.J., there`s a shocking new development involving Mel Gibson and what allegedly came out of his mouth. In a brand-new interview with "GQ" magazine, Winona Ryder recounts a jaw-dropping experience she claims she had with Mel Gibson.

HAMMER: Yes. In Winona`s interview with "GQ" just revealed today, Brooke, Winona Ryder says, quote, "I remember like 15 years ago I was at one of those big Hollywood parties. And he (Mel Gibson) was really drunk. I was with my friend who is gay. He made a really horrible gay joke. It was just this weird, weird moment. No one believed me."

ANDERSON: In this issue of "GQ" magazine, Winona also claims Gibson made disparaging remarks about Jews. And she told the magazine she believed him to be anti-Semitic. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has reached out to Mel Gibson but we have not heard back as of show time today.

HAMMER: Well, after 25 years, CNN`s Larry King is hanging up his suspenders.

ANDERSON: Yes, he is, A.J. And from the chairman of the board, old blue eyes, Frank Sinatra, to world leaders, Larry has interviewed everyone.

But hang on, this is far from goodbye for Larry. He is still going to be busy with, not one, but four CNN specials next year. So this is just so long for now. Of course, there are hundreds and hundreds of memorable and powerful moments from Larry`s legendary talk show career. It`s hard to pick just one so here`s just a taste of 25 unbelievable years of "LARRY KING LIVE."

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you guys ever do anything but propaganda?

KING: Was there a holocaust?

MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD, PRESIDENT OF IRAN (through translator): You want to impose your viewpoint on me.

KING: It`s not a viewpoint. It`s a question.

VLADIMIR PUTIN, PRIME MINISTER OF RUSSIA: I don`t know. It sank.

KING: Does it come with a curse of any kind?

TAYLOR: No, it comes with so much love.

KING: What`s it like to kiss him?

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I`d walk out of heaven and bring her home again.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

JERMAINE JACKSON, MUSICIAN: This is his creation. This is his idea, for him to come here and to feel him here. I`m happy.

KING: We`ll also go live to Haiti, showing you specifically what your donations mean.

For now, for here, it`s time to hang up the nightly suspenders. And who knows what the future is going to bring?

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Brooke, I`ve got to tell you, I`m going to miss the show. You`re going to miss seeing the guy every day in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: Yes. And there`s like a melancholy mood here at CNN Los Angeles because we are so used to having him here, and we love seeing him. I don`t think it has sunk in with me. I just feel like he`ll always be here. But he is a legend. Glad he`s coming back for some specials next year.

All right. We do have to move now, A.J., to this. There`s a big David Hasselhoff development today. The Hoff`s got a brand-new gig and I`m going to tell you all about it, next. I think the Hoff is going to have a jolly old time.

HAMMER: Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

HAMMER: Time now for the SHOWBIZ Buzz List. Here is what the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff is buzzing all about this week.

Of course Larry King`s final show. Thanks, Larry, for 25 amazing years of great guests and such unforgettable moments.

Every single second of "24" now out on DVD. Five angry birds, one hilarious video game. We simply cannot stop playing "Angry Birds." We just don`t play (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

Reading a whole lot brighter now. The Nook is in color.

"True Grit" hits theaters December 22nd with Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges starring. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I heard the rifle and I felt the ball. You missed your shot.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Missed my shot?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You are more handicapped without the eye than I without the arm.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You know, doing what I do best. Hey! Hey! (EXPLETIVE DELETED). Get the camera.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, my god. He`s saying, "Get the camera." Did you see this? Leave it to Diddy to have a model in a bubble bath in the middle of a party.

But as you see, the fun turned to a frenzy when the model leaned a little too close to that candle and her hair going up in flames right there. Fortunately, the model wasn`t seriously hurt. Maybe it wasn`t even her real hair.

But it`s definitely one way to make an album launch party memorable. Next time, I think I`m going to suggest those flameless candles for you, Diddy. His new album, "The Last Train to Paris," coming - actually, it`s out right now. I`ve got to go out and get it. I didn`t think it was out yet.

All right. That video obviously really incredible. Right now, there`s even bigger news breaking in "The Buzz Today." David Hasselhoff going to Britain for a big gig, a "Glee" star getting ready to go solo, and Aretha Franklin home for the holidays.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) ARETHA home for the holidays. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has just learned that Aretha Franklin has been discharged from the hospital just in time for Christmas. The queen of soul tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that she`s "hoping to be strong enough to go out and see the upcoming Sam Cooke play at the music hall in downtown Detroit before January 2nd."

Franklin is in great spirits and tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT the surgery for her undisclosed ailment was highly successful.

Mr. Shoe goes solo. "Glee" star Matthew Morrison just revealed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he`s releasing his first album and going on tour. Morrison, who plays everyone`s favorite choir director on "Glee" will have a single out in February followed by his debut album in May. Morrison plans to launch his tour early next year.

The Hoff`s got talent again. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can reveal that David Hasselhoff is joining "Britain`s Got Talent" as a judge and was personally asked to join the show by Simon Cowell.

Hasselhoff left the judging table on "America`s Got Talent" in January reportedly to pursue his own TV show but his reality show, "The Hasselhoffs," was cancelled after just two episodes and he was the first contestant to be kicked of this season on "Dancing with the Stars." The Hoff and "Britain`s Got Talent" return in the spring.

ANDERSON: A.J., now to a Kardashian Christmas.

HAMMER: Yes. I`m having a Kardashian Christmas already. The Kardashian family definitely in the holiday spirit, Brooke. But if you ask me, they don`t exactly look like it. See for yourself now.

This is your first look at the Kardashian family Christmas card. Hands down, that is a good looking family right there, but I want to see smiles, I want to see merriment for the holidays, Brooke.

ANDERSON: Maybe the little baby had been smiling. But I actually think it`s slick. It`s a gorgeous portrait. They look uber-glamorous. I`m digging it. And what are they going to do, put on reindeer sweaters?

HAMMER: I think they should. Yes.

HAMMER: Well, it`s about time for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT to name the most provocative celebrity of the week. Vote by sending a text to 45688. Type "SBT1" for Nick Cage, "SBT2" for Miley Cyrus, and "SBT3" for angry Lindsay Lohan.

That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. We thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday.

HAMMER: And we`re still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific right here on HLN.
