Fair to slam her? The Black Eyed Peas halftime slam. Did you love it or hate it? And Cameron Diaz hand feeds A-Rod popcorn. Too cute or too ick?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KIM KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: You`re amazing. The best I`ve ever had.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Simon Cowell`s explosive new challenge to "American Idol" today and he`s putting $5 million behind it.
Startling news today that The Situation could be leaving "Jersey Shore" to become a movie star?
TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.
(MUSIC)
Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City with big news breaking today - superstar shockers at the Super Bowl.
Yes, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there were raging debates today about the Super Bowl and not just because of what happened on the field, of course. And there were plenty of people watching to be sure.
Late this afternoon SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned that more than 111 million people watched Super Bowl XLV, making it the most watched program in U.S. TV history.
It was a game that kicked off with a super-size flub by Christina Aguilera who messed up some of the lyrics as she belted out "The Star Spangled Banner." She got slammed for that, but is that unfair?
There were also some black eyes today for the Black Eyed Peas. Not everyone thought their halftime show was so great. And today, there was raging debate over whether the Black Eyed Peas blew it. Even Fergie had something to say today about the group`s performance.
And there was still steam coming from Kim Kardashian`s provocative, sex- fuelled commercial for a shoe company. Did Kim finally cross the line?
We are going to start off today with obviously the biggest buzz of all - Christina Aguilera. Everybody is talking about her spectacular mistake at the Super Bowl when she was singing the national anthem and she screwed up some of the lyrics big time. People were all riled up about this. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CHRISTINA AGUILERA, SINGER (SINGING): Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight what so proudly we watched at the twilight`s last gleaming.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. Kind of lost a line in there. Now, Christina is defending herself today. Look at what she`s telling SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "I got so lost in the moment of the song that I lost my place."
"I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."
But some are saying that Christina should have been better prepared. That brings us to our very first SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Super Bowl Flashpoint - is it fair to slam Christina Aguilera for her performance?
I want to bring in Lauren Lake. Lauren`s a TV host and author of the book, "Girl, Let Me Tell You." Lauren, what do you say?
LAUREN LAKE, TV HOST AND AUTHOR: You know what? You`ve got to know your national anthem. No excuse, Christina. This is what separates the pros from the pretenders.
And at the end of the day, the National Anthem is one of those songs people don`t understand. It`s hard to sing, but you`ve got to do it. And if you want to be a pro, you`ve got to get it done, and she didn`t.
HAMMER: Pressure, pressure, pressure, Lauren. Let me bring in Steve Santagati - hold on. Steve is the author and creator of "BadBoysFinishFirst.com"
Steve, to our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, is it fair to slam Christina Aguilera for her performance? Or it was just an honest mistake?
STEVE SANTAGATI, CREATOR, "BADBOYSFINISHFIRST.COM": It was an honest mistake, A.J. But yes, she needs to be slammed. I mean, she didn`t just step off "American Idol."
This is not her first performance. She`s performed in front of thousands and thousands of people. So yes, she - you know, she should have stopped focusing on those high notes and focused on getting the lines right. Yes.
HAMMER: You know, she`s killing herself over this thing today.
SANTAGATI: Who wouldn`t?
HAMMER: I think people need to cut her a break. I mean, this has to be one of the toughest live performance gigs there is, no matter how big a pro you are.
But today, the ladies of "The View" were kind of split themselves about Christina`s performance. They did a little slamming. They gave a few kudos. Take a look at what they said.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BARBARA WALTERS, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AND CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": You know, she should have studied it like crazy, but she was obviously nervous.
SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": "People" magazine did a poll and 77 percent of people who took the poll, you know, were not happy with the way she sang.
JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Let me say something positive about Christina. She sang the song, she hit the notes and she looked sensational.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: I mean, there is that. She did look fantastic. That is not the only performance, by the way, today that is getting slammed.
Also, a lot of controversy today surrounding the Black Eyed Peas and their halftime performance. Now, my feelings were pretty mixed on this. Certainly, it was a stunning visual performance.
But, wow, there are others today who are totally slamming the Black Eyed Peas. Let`s take a look at a bit of their performance.
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: You`ve got to have the mike on when Fergie starts to sing. They had some audio problems during the performance. But the question is, do the Black Eyed Peas deserve all the dissing they`re getting today?
Take a look at what "Entertainment Weekly" is saying about them, "The peas merely standing next to each other in a line looked awkward, as if they didn`t have a concrete plan."
Also, "The Los Angeles Times" called their performance "pop absurdity at its finest," saying of The Peas, "The Peas of 2011 represent all things commercial and ridiculous."
And that brings us to our next SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Super Bowl Flashpoint - Black Eyed Peas halftime performance, did you love it or hate it? Lauren Lake?
LAKE: You know what? I loved it. I loved it because it was the Black Eyed Peas. They were not trying to be musical geniuses, say, like a Prince. They are a light, poppy group. And you get what you get and you got it last night. Just light fun.
HAMMER: All right. Light and happy, according to Lauren Lake. All right. That`s fair enough. Now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas - she loved it.
In fact, on the radio this morning, she was on "The Dan Patrick Show." She said it was exhilarating but she admitted she did have some performance issues. Listen to what she said.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
FERGIE, SINGER, BLACK EYED PEAS (through telephone): Some of my notes were pitchy to me, and that was just overall the excitement, and I was nervous.
But it just was so exhilarating, you know, the whole thing, so big, you know? That`s a once-in-a-lifetime thing. It was just so exciting.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. I imagine it`s very exciting. And again, huge pressure situation. The audio in the Super Bowl setting is a lot different from a concert setting. So Steve Santagati, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, love or hate the Black Eyed Peas` halftime performance?
SANTAGATI: I don`t know if I loved it or hated it. I think, you know, it was a choice of song. We were so sick of hearing those songs.
And I don`t know about you, but when I was sitting at home and Slash came up through the stage and when Usher dropped down, I was much more excited.
I think "Entertainment Weekly" had it right. They shouldn`t just be standing in a row. They should be running around.
And as, you know, entertainers - we as, you know, viewers - we have a right to judge them. They`re putting themselves out there. So, yes, it wasn`t what they could have done. So I don`t know. I didn`t love it, that`s for sure.
HAMMER: Well, Usher certainly getting a lot of rave reviews saying - Slash, I was just sitting there wondering what the heck was Slash doing all the time when he was below the stage? What does he do?
SANTAGATI: He smokes cigarettes.
HAMMER: I don`t know. These are the things I think of when I`m watching. But now, I really want to get to my favorite, somewhat controversial moment of the night, perhaps within of my favorite moments of the Super Bowl.
It`s more outrage and controversy today because of this moment. It`s Cameron Diaz and New York Yankees superstar, Alex Rodriguez, in an oddball romantic that was caught on tape.
Of course, it`s right here on your Super Bowl wall of controversy. Nobody expected to see Cameron Diaz hand feeding A-Rod popcorn. And I`m certain they didn`t expect to see it or know that it was on TV.
This is raising all kind of controversy today, bringing us to our next SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Super Bowl Flashpoint - Cameron Diaz feeds A-Rod, awww or yuck? Lauren?
LAKE: I don`t know why, but it`s yuck. It`s something about these people. We love them separately but, together, it`s just kind of yuck. I didn`t love it.
HAMMER: Steve Santagati, I bet you wish you were sitting in A-Rod`s seat.
SANTAGATI: No, because I have no idea whether Cameron washed her hands or not, for starters. And all of you - it could have been a lot worse, because, usually, she chews it up and spits it in his mouth like a bird.
So - you know what? But in all seriousness, if you are into celebrity relationships, pay attention to this one because A-Rod is owning her. She`s definitely the boss here. She`s like taking care of her baby, taking care of her man.
LAKE: Especially with that hand being free and he`s still not getting the popcorn with it.
SANTAGATI: He`s got her down to "Go get me a beer, honey."
HAMMER: Well, there was a very definitive opinion from Elisabeth Hasselbeck today on "The View." She voted yuck for sure. She was just appalled by what was going on there. Let`s watch that.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ELISABETH HASSELBECK, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": I`m just like trying to have a moment hard core with the game. And all of a sudden it`s goopy goop buttery popcorn in your mouth.
(CROSS TALK)
He can feed himself his own popcorn. He`s a world class athlete. He has two hands that can get his own popcorn.
SHEPHERD: He`s a man. Tell me a man that doesn`t want no woman feeding him some food.
(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. He`s certainly wasn`t fighting her off. I can imagine, as I had, that they`re thrilled that this is the moment that was seen by 100 million people on the Super Bowl.
But overall, even with all of this controversy, Lauren Lake, you know, with all the highs and lows, for me, this was one of the best Super Bowls ever, and including the game, of course.
But the entertainment - I don`t remember a time when it`s been more fun to watch all of that controversy.
LAKE: You know what? I enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun. I was with a group of friends and we just laughed and enjoyed ourselves. And I think, at the end of the day, that`s what it`s all about.
HAMMER: All right. Well, there is yet another controversy that is outrageous, bombastic and another Super Bowl moment, this one involving reality show superstar, Kim Kardashian, and her hot new Super Bowl ad. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KIM KARDASHIAN: I don`t really know how to say this other than to just say it. You`re amazing.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Wow. That is hot. So this Super Bowl Flashpoint - Kim`s new ad, super sexy or put your clothes on, Kim? That`s coming up.
All right. I`m a huge fan of "Glee." And I think the episode that aired right after the Super Bowl was terrific.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KATIE COURIC, ANCHOR, "NIGHTLINE": Can you take me back to the moment when you knew you had lost what would have been a record seventh consecutive national championship landing you this interview as loser of the year?
JANE LYNCH, ACTRESS (as Sue Sylvester): I hate you, Diane Sawyer.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: That`s actually Katie Couric taking on Sue Sylvester there. Is Sue dissing both Katie and Diane Sawyer? Well, it is on today. Wait until you hear Diane all fired up about this.
Simon Cowell`s explosive new challenge to "American Idol" today. I`ve got to tell you he`s putting his money where his mouth is - $5 million. That`s next.
And the startling news today that The Situation could be leaving "Jersey Shore" to become a movie star? I wonder if he`s classically trained. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

HAMMER: He`s back. Simon Cowell`s brand-new commercial revealed during the Super Bowl for the American version of his British show, "The X Factor." It`s coming your way this fall.
But today, Simon is throwing down a shocking $5 million challenge.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And just in today, Simon`s $5 million shocker. The former American Idol judge basically say, hey, "Idol," you know, the contract that you give your winners? That`s chump change.
Simon`s getting ready to launch his new singing show, "The X Factor," in the fall. And in an explosive development today, he revealed the winner of his show will get a $5 million recording contract.
That`s pretty incredible. Listen to what Simon told us during a press conference late today.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
SIMON COWELL, "X FACTOR": The reason we decided to do this was to show the people who are auditioning for the show, sometimes you`ve got to put your money where your mouth is. And by putting up that kind of prize money, it`s a massive, massive risk.
But it`s also an incredible incentive. And just to be clear, this is not a dressed up $5 million. This is a guaranteed $5 million payable to the winner. It will be paid over five years, $1 million a year for five years.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
HAMMER: That`s a pretty big deal. Other big "X Factor" revelations - anyone over 12 can try out. There`s no age limit at all. Contestants will audition in front of huge audiences, not just the judges panel like on "Idol," which will, by the way, include Simon on their judges panel.
Well, just in today, big news breaking about our nation`s addiction to celebrities and that news happens to come from a remarkable new book that`s called "Addict Nation."
From Lady Gaga, to Justin Bieber, to Brad and Angelina, to the party animals on "Jersey Shore," why the obsession? Why do we love this stuff? All this in the book by HLN`s own Jane Velez-Mitchell, "Addiction Nation: An Intervention for America."
Jane, of course, host of "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL," every night at 7:00 p.m. Eastern here on HLN. She`s here right now for a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview. You`ve got to hold the book up, Jane.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: I`m holding it up right here - "Addict Nation." We`re all addicts.
HAMMER: Congratulations to you on this.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Thank you.
HAMMER: So we talk about celebs on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. You talk about them on "ISSUES" all the time. When does the obsession with celebrities cross from, you know, just a little fun to really an addiction?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Look, it`s fine to admire a famous person for their talent. They`re a great singer, a great dancer, a great actor.
But the problem happens when we jump into this fantasy world and we start pretending on a subconscious level that we are their friends, that we know them. We get overly invested in their lives. They become avatars. They help us negotiate this fantasy world of celebrity.
The truth is, we do not know these people. We`ve never met them. We probably never will, so we can`t use them as a drug to escape from our own mundane reality. When we get overly invested, we`re literally using a celebrity as a drug. Might as well be popping a pill.
HAMMER: Wow, really like a drug. And it is funny when - and I`ve seen these situations when somebody is addicted to a certain celebrity does get to meet them. And there is that sense that this person is entitled like they do know them.
But I found it fascinating when I read in your book that you had this epiphany for what you write about in "Addict Nation."
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes.
HAMMER: You had this epiphany about how we are about celebrities at a Lady Gaga concert?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: I did.
HAMMER: Well, first of all, I love that you were at a Lady Gaga concert. What the heck happened there?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: OK. I was there, and she was talking to the audience. And she said, "All of you, tonight is proof you can be whoever and whatever you want because I used to be out there in the audience right where you were looking up at some B-word on the stage."
We all want to be stars. Then, I proceeded to watch her and I realized, yes, while I`m watching you, something gets crossed in my brain.
And suddenly, I`m the star up there. I`m the one dancing. I`m the one wearing the wild outfits. So that`s what happens to us subconsciously.
HAMMER: Yes.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: We feel like we are on stage and that gives us the addictive hit.
HAMMER: So it is really all about that vicarious existence.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Exactly.
HAMMER: Well, Jane - congratulations, Jane. Great to see you as always. And make sure you get Jane Velez-Mitchell`s new book, "Addict Nation: An Intervention for America," because it is in bookstores right now.
HAMMER: Hey, Kim Kardashian, put your clothes back on. That was Kim`s super steamy Super Bowl ad right here. Our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - was Kim`s ad too hot for TV?
Big news breaking about Kelsey and Grammer`s split. It may mean Kelsey could marry his mistress ASAP. Plus, is it ever OK to be a mistress? The great debate.

HAMMER: "The Roommate," number one at the box office over the weekend. It stars Minka Kelly from one of my favorite shows, "Friday Night Lights" and "Gossip Girl`s" Leighton Meester.
But did you see the very funny Justin Bieber/Andy Samberg version? The real "Roommate" movie is pretty creepy. Leighton and Minka are college roommate. Leighton goes all single white female.
But you`ve got to check out the hysterical Justin Bieber version from "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
TEXT: There are over 2,000 colleges in the United States. And over 16 million students.
JUSTIN BIEBER, POP STAR: Hey.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re in Room 316.
BIEBER: Thanks.
TEXT: But there`s only one you live with.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Welcome to college. I`m Deckland(ph), your new roommate.
BIEBER: Hey.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So I guess we`re best friends now, huh? I love you.
BIEBER: This isn`t going to be one of those things where our friendship starts off fine, but then you get really possessive and crazy, because I`m not really up for that.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What? No, I`m totally normal.
TEXT: Yet another story of obsession.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I found a straight puppy. What should we name him?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s a dead rat.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You make me smile.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: So, honey, how`s your new roommate?
BIEBER: He`s definitely trying to kill me.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are you on your phone?
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: I am happy to say "college roommate" was nothing like that for the most part.
All right. Over on Facebook, we are asking about all those wacky "American Idol" contestants. Do you love them or do you think the show should lose them?
I just checked our wall today. Here are what some people are writing like Carissa B., "Lose them. They are getting on for entertainment value leaving other really talented people without the chance to even make it to the judges."
But Sheila A. says, "Definitely love them. The tryouts are the only part of the show I watch. These people think they can sing. It`s their fault if they get embarrassed."

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.
We`ve got big news breaking today - put your clothes on, Kim Kardashian. Yes, she`s done it again. Kim Kardashian`s belly-baring, sexed-up Super Bowl ad created to promote Skechers Sneakers steamed up more than 100 million homes during Sunday night`s record-setting Super Bowl.
But today, the racy ad has some people really outraged saying, yes, once again, Kim has crossed the line, particularly considering the Super Bowl has lots of young kids watching.
So was it worth it for Kim or was it just too hot for TV?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KIM KARDASHIAN: I don`t really know how to say this other than to just say it. You`re amazing. The best I`ve ever had. But things just aren`t working out. Well, that`s not completely true. I am working out. It`s not someone else. It`s something else.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. And that company certainly getting their money`s worth. But everybody knows that Kim is known for her sexy image. I didn`t find the ad particularly shocking, but I do think it was certainly edgy for young viewers last night.
That leads to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - Kim`s new TV ad - super-sexy or put your clothes on, Kim?
Let me bring in Lauren Lake, who is a TV host and author of "Girl, Let Me Tell You." What do you think, Lauren? It is time for Kim to put her clothes back on?
LAKE: I want her to. I know her brand is being sexy. She`s a gorgeous girl with a beautiful body. But young women look up to her. Little young girls love the Kardashian sisters to death.
And I just want her to parlay that brand into something clothed so that they can see that, you know what? There`s more to life than just being a sex symbol.
HAMMER: Yes. Look, I`ve come around to the fact that this is obviously a very smart woman and I think it can certainly detract from that when all she seems to be doing, or predominantly anyway, are these types of ads.
Let me bring in the creator of "BadBoysFinishFirst.com. Steve Santagati, I`d like to throw the same flashpoint. But I`m guessing she had too much clothes on for you.
SANTAGATI: No. You know, like, why would I ever tell her to put her clothes on? She looks beautiful. It`s part of her marketing thing.
And you know what? I watched "Glee." I heard you say you are a fan of "Glee." "Glee" is a lot racier.
HAMMER: A lot later at night last night, though.
SANTAGATI: Five minutes.
HAMMER: No, no, no. But this is really when you consider when that ad ran and the fact this was on while kids - and a lot of kids watch the Super Bowl.
SANTAGATI: I understand. What everybody`s watching on television, at the end of the day, we can`t blame Kim. She`s making money, God bless her. It`s a capitalist society.
Parenting. It`s not our problem. It`s parents` fault. You know, Kim looks beautiful. If I had that body, I`d be showing it off until it wasn`t there anymore. Let her make as much as she can.
HAMMER: All right.
SANTAGATI: I mean, your trainer works out without a shirt on, doesn`t he? When he comes to your house?
HAMMER: That was a pretty realistic scene, maybe in Hollywood.
LAKE: No.
HAMMER: Well, you`d be happy to know there is more big Kardashian news breaking today. Church chat with Kim Kardashian.
Kim recently made big buzz after bawling her eyes out over a nude magazine photo shoot with "W" magazine. The meltdown even got Dana Carvey`s legendary "SNL" character, the Church Lady, talking about it. Check out what the Church Lady had to say about Kim Kardashian`s naked regrets.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Our plump hind quarters squared up and pointed right at the camera, like a photo of the earth taken from space with a butt crack the length if the prime meridian.
And now we`re blaming the same media from which we earn our hefty paycheck. Show butt, get check. Isn`t that convenient?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I didn`t want to do it. They tricked me.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Of course. Of course somebody tricked us. And who could it have been? Let see. I don`t know. Let me think. Let me knock on Mr. Noggin. Who could trick us into doing that? Could have been Satan.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. Hey, look, maybe Satan does have something to do with Kim selling her sexy image and then crying after the fact. Is the Church Lady absolutely right as absurd as it is? Kim has nobody to blame but herself for her choices to get naked.
LAKE: Yes. And I don`t know. Maybe I`m crazy but I never believed she was really all that upset about the pictures. I mean, it`s reality show that kind of has a little less than reality if you`ve ever watched it.
I don`t believe all the storylines. They`re storylines.
HAMMER: I don`t believe Steve Santagati you think that Satan has anything to do with it at all.
SANTAGATI: I always - I always blame Satan. Kim was - I think she was upset because the pictures that Mark Seliger did were not great. I looked at that "W" magazine issue and it wasn`t good.
If they were flattering and she looked wonderful, she wouldn`t care.
LAKE: She came back and said she loved them.
SANTAGATI: Yes. It`s not the nudity thing. We`ve all seen her in the video. Hello, you`ve seen the video.
(CROSS TALK)
LAKE: No, I haven`t seen that video.
HAMMER: To be clear, I`ve seen the naked video, the sex video - the sex tape of Kim Kardashian. But I need to move to this whole situation to a whole situation that The Situation`s going Hollywood.
Yes. "Jersey Shore" star, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino says he wants to be a movie star. Oh, goody. Also, pregnant Pink is peeved at the paparazzi. You`re not going to believe how she`s fighting back. Shia LaBeouf gets cuffed in a late-night scuffle. It`s all making big news in "The Buzz Today."
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over) Shia`s ballroom brawl. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has confirmed that "Transformers" star, Shia LaBeouf, was cuffed after police broke up a rowdy bar fight over the weekend.
A source close to the star tells us several guys ignited the fight by jumping LaBeouf who was on his way out of a tavern in Sherman Oaks, California. Witnesses tell TMZ when cops arrived on the scene, they cuffed everyone involved but no one was arrested and they eventually left LaBeouf go.
Pink`s baby bump backlash. Pregnant Pink has just unloaded on paparazzi who are snapping pictures of her while she`s got a baby on board.
She`s blasting them big time in a brand-new Twitter tirade, quote, "Because paparazzi of today have absolutely no photographic skill or artistry whatsoever and their pictures are hideous, I`m going to post a self- portrait I took yesterday morning for all of you asking to see belly shots."
Pink posted her own personal snapshots adding, "Three weeks of photo classes for me and I am already a far better photographer than any one of them."
The Situation`s sayonara to "Jersey Shore"? Mike "The Situation" has just revealed he`s ready to leave his reality show to become a big Hollywood movie star.
He tells "E! Online," quote, "There`s only so long you can rule the reality world, and added, "Maybe another year or so of reality and then I`m going to graduate to movies. It like Michael Jordan. There`s only so long you can keep winning them rings."
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Yes. Maybe the Sitch could do underwear ads like Michael Jordan, but I think that`s really as much as they could possibly have in common. Lauren, The Situation as a movie star? Really?
LAKE: Look, all I can say is don`t quit your day job, Sitch, and doesn`t believe the hype, even from yourself. I mean, look at - he`s like a modern day Andrew Dice Clay or something, and like, where is he now? There`s only so much badabing, badaboom cute little lines we can take. I think you better stay on "Jersey Shore."
HAMMER: So what Lauren Lake is saying, Steve, she doesn`t believe he has the range beyond what we see on "Jersey Shore."
LAKE: I don`t think so.
HAMMER: Do you think he can cut it in Hollywood?
SANTAGATI: No, unless he want to do "Scary Movie Part 15" or "Not Another Teen Movie" or like "Harold and Kumar Take New Jersey" or something to that effect.
HAMMER: That would be pretty much it.
SANTAGATI: And I love that he compared himself to Michael Jordan. He, A, doesn`t have the rings and, B, doesn`t have the talent.
LAKE: Oh, yes.
SANTAGATI: He should probably study English. That would be a great start.
HAMMER: I don`t appreciate all the details. All right, Steve Santagati, Lauren Lake, thank you guys so much.
LAKE: Thank you.
HAMMER: Let us move on now to the outrageous "Glee" smackdown. This is fantastic. It`s Katie Couric taking on Sue Sylvester.

COURIC: In the voting you beat out the following losers: the economy, Mel Gibson, the housing market, Dina Lohan, Wall Street -
LYNCH: I hate you, Diane Sawyer.

CAMILLE GRAMMER, REALITY TV STAR, "THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS": The doorman looked at me and asked me who I was. I said, "OK, I`m Mrs. Grammer." And he looked at me. I said, "Yes, I`m Mrs. Grammer. He said, "No, you`re not." So I had to show my ID. Somebody`s in the apartment as Mrs. Grammer. It`s just not me.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: That was Camille Grammer coming to the realization on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" that someone else had been pretending to be the wife of her estranged husband, Kelsey, in their New York City apartment. Imagine that.
Well, today another realization that their marriage is over. There are reports today that Kelsey and Camille have struck a deal so the judge can grant them a final divorce and Kelsey can move ahead and marry his former mistress, Kay Walsh.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with brand new mistress mayhem today.
When Kelsey and Camille Grammer do get the green light to get divorced, he`s set to walk down the aisle for the fourth time, and this time, it`s with a 29-year-old woman who was once his mistress.
So does it always end up with the mistress marrying the married man? There is an explosive new book out today called "Sleeping With Mortals: The Story of a New York Mistress."
Catherine Goldstein, who spent years as a mistress to many men, wrote the book. She`s here for a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview.
Thank you for being here and thank you very much for talking about this.
CATHERINE GOLDSTEIN, AUTHOR, "SLEEPING WITH MORTALS": Thank you.
As a former mistress who dated some very wealthy men in New York, you say in your book that mistresses are not a threat to marriages.
But I don`t see Kelsey and Camille`s situation as that at all. How do you explain that? He`s now marrying his one-time mistress.
GOLDSTEIN: Yes, he is. "Sleeping with Mortals" is a work of fiction. However, based on my experiences and the research I did for this book, I will tell you that nine out of 10 times the mistress just is not a threat.
They really don`t fall in love with the mistress. She`s just the next accessory that they`re looking for. They have the house. They have the car. They have the fancy clothes. They want that next thing and it is that mistress.
In his particular case, maybe part of it is getting married. Maybe that`s part of the thrill for him as well. You know, I don`t know them personally, but maybe that is something that excites him along with the thrill of having the mistress.
HAMMER: Yes. And it`s just hard to believe as we see in so many situations with celebrities and really everybody that it`s hard to believe it`s not going to happen again.
And let`s talk about Jesse James. He cheated on his now ex-wife Sandra Bullock. Jesse just got engaged to tattooed reality star, Kat Von D. He tweeted his undying love for her.
Other women claim they were a mistress to Jesse. So why in the world, Catherine, do you think that Kat Von D should believe that Jesse James isn`t just going to do it again? That`s hard for me to imagine.
GOLDSTEIN: That is hard to imagine. And I think one of the important things to get from this and that I always want women to understand is that it doesn`t matter who you are as the wife, if a man cheats, he will cheat and he will find away.
Someone as gorgeous as Sandra Bullock can be cheated on. But I think in this particular case, maybe he has found love with her. I don`t see that happening usually in my experiences and the experiences of people that I read about getting ready to write this book.
I have not found that to be the case. I have found there`s two types of men, a man who cheats and a man who doesn`t cheat.
Can people change? Of course, they can change. Maybe he`s going to change for love this time, but in my experiences, certainly in the fiction that I`ve written in my book, it doesn`t happen.
HAMMER: Yes. But again, you say based on some of your own experiences - at any time when you were involved with a married man, were you waiting around for them to dump the wife?
GOLDSTEIN: Never, never, never. I think it`s important for people to also understand that a mistress isn`t a man eater. She doesn`t want your man. She`s usually just taking advantage of a situation that`s being thrown at her.
HAMMER: Well, it`s hard not to talk about - or hard to talk about celebrities and mistresses without thinking about Tiger Woods.
GOLDSTEIN: Yes.
HAMMER: And quite frankly, we don`t have enough time left in the show to talk about all of Tiger`s alleged mistresses. But as someone who was a mistress, how do you feel it was even possible for him to have kept his secret for so long from his now ex-wife Elin? That was unfathomable to me when that all came out.
GOLDSTEIN: These men are experts. If, in my particular experience - listen, again, I did not have that many. But in my experiences, if I went up town, they were sure their family went downtown and vice versa.
And when you go to a celebrity of this size of Tiger Woods, I`m sure there are many people assisting him and enabling him.
HAMMER: Yes. Enablers and people trying to stop him (INAUDIBLE).
GOLDSTEIN: Sure. Sure.
HAMMER: But I don`t know how it`s done. Well, I do appreciate you coming here and giving your insight in all of this.
GOLDSTEIN: Thank you. Thank you. I hope you enjoy the book. Thank you.
HAMMER: Thank you very much.
GOLDSTEIN: Thanks.
HAMMER: Got to move on right now to the great mini Darth Vader mystery. It`s solved today. Did you see this?
(MUSIC)
Everyone is buzzing today about this really cool Super Bowl Volkswagen commercial. It stars a little guy dressed up as Darth Vader trying to use the force.
And this just in today - it took not one but two little tykes to make this happen. I present to the Darth Vader number one. This is six-year-old Max Page. He played Darth Vader trying to use his powers on a car and a washing machine. Now, this morning, he was unmasked on the "Today" show.
And say hello to Darth Vader number two. This is six-year-old Adrian Lewis(ph) whose identity was revealed today on CBS` "The Talk." Now, Adrian(ph) plays the Darth Vader who`s trying to control the dog.
So what did the two Darth Vaders have to say about their life-changing role? Check this out.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE CHILD: It was really cool and I really liked it. I mean, it was amazing. I couldn`t show the world so I showed it in a commercial.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE CHILD: Really cool.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes. What did you guys do?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE CHILD: We ate lunch together.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Cool. What did you have?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE CHILD: Chicken stars and a hamburger?
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: OK. That was perfectly adorable. Little Max has quite a survivor story, by the way. He was born with a heart condition and he had to have heart surgery as a baby. Doctors gave him a pacemaker. And now, his mom says Max is doing great. So glad he got to do that role.
All right. We move from Darth Vader unmasked to the dramatic new "Glee" smackdown.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
COURIC: Can you take me back to the moment when you knew had you lost what would have been a record seventh consecutive national championship, landing you this interview as loser of the year?
LYNCH: I hate you, Diane Sawyer.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: A perfect TV moment right there. That`s Sue Sylvester, Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, all involved. It is on. It is a "Glee" smackdown for the ages, I tell you.
And wait until you hear what Diane Sawyer is saying about this today. I`ve got that next. You do not want to miss it. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: "Glee" does "Thriller." "Glee" got the post-Super Bowl spot and the ratings were, well, downright gleeful. Nearly 27 million people watched. That`s the highest ratings ever from the Fox show.
That was actually down from last year`s post-Super Bowl series, CBS` "Undercover Boss."
And now, the "Thriller" was a winner. But I have to tell you, bad girl cheerleading coach, Sue Sylvester, played by Jane Lynch was a big loser. Sue, you can`t win them all.
It was Katie Couric, of all people, who broke the devastating news. Katie did a guest gig on "Glee." She`s a big fan of the show, so I bet she was thrilled to on the thriller episode. But I don`t think Sue Sylvester was too thrilled to see Katie. Check this out.
COURIC: Can you take me back to the moment when you knew you had lost what would have been a record seventh consecutive national championship, landing you this interview as loser of the year?
LYNCH: I hate you, Diane Sawyer.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Ouch. That`s a big diss to Katie by not calling her by her name, not that there`s anything wrong with Diane Sawyer. But when you call Katie someone else, well, watch out, because, now, today Diane has got her new sister`s back.
Look at what Diane just tweeted to Sue Sylvester, "It`s on. As a former rejected Seneca JV wannabe cheer leader, I`ll meet you in the gym - bring the cannon."
And about the cannon, Sue is so boarding this episode by her cheerleading squad. The cheerleader wants to shake things up by shooting her team members out of a cannon.
Well, on Friday, we asked to you vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. Moments ago, I received these, the final results.
We asked, wacky "American Idol" contestants, love them or lose them? Yes, look at that. Seventeen percent of you say love them because they help make the show more interesting. But that whopping 83 percent say lose them.
Here are a couple of E-mails we got. Jesse in South Carolina says lose them, "Some of the contestants should not be on TV. Wake me when it`s over."
We also heard from Layla in Canada. Now, Layla says the wacky contestants are exactly why she watches "American Idol," "The funny auditions. That is the only part of the season that keeps me grounded and coming back for more."
Well, I can guarantee you this - as long as "American Idol" remains on the air, they`ll be putting those wacky contestants on over and over and over.
And that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Thank you for watching. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday.
And we are still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific here on HLN.
