HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City with big news breaking today.
Momma Dina in denial? Lindsay Lohan`s mother went on national television today and made some absolutely remarkable claims. Guess who`s to blame for so much of Lindsay`s trouble? The media. Yes, the media is to blame for her often paparazzi loving daughter`s horrible image. Dina even accused the media of spreading Lindsay propaganda.
Well, the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Fact Squad got on the case today and counted at least two dozen Lindsay incidents over the past two years ranging from rehab to court appearances, to car crashes, to jail stay. So, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has got to ask, hey, Dina, maybe all that stuff has something to do with Lindsay`s image.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER (voice-over): It`s a time of crisis for Lindsay Lohan. She faces the possibility of prison for a theft charge, and she faces jail for a possible probation violation. And today, Lindsay`s mother, Dina, is leaping to the troubled stars` defense and pinpointing the source of Lindsay`s many troubles. The media.
LOHAN: The media makes it a lot, you know, a lot worse than it really is.
HAMMER: This morning on "Good Morning, America," Dina Lohan told George Stephanopoulos the media is over blowing Lindsay Lohan`s problems.
CAREY REILLY, GOSSIPMAMA.COM: To say that the media makes it a lot worse is ridiculous.
HAMMER: How can the media possibly be making Lindsay`s nasty legal predicament any worse as Dina suggested this morning on GMA. George Stephanopoulos was wondering the exact same thing.
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS, HOST: what has the media gotten wrong?
LOHAN: I mean, the media has got nothing wrong. It`s just it`s what you do.
STEPHANOPOULOS: What have we gotten wrong about the story? That`s what I`m asking.
LOHAN: I mean, I, obviously, can`t talk about the case. So, I`m going to be guarded - a little bit guarded there, but it`s so sensationalized, you know? They talked about the dress she wore to court. To me, it`s just ridiculous. They take the onus off the real problem and what`s really happening, and we do take it seriously. It`s not a joke. There are just so much propaganda surrounding it.
REILLY: So typical being -- everybody is to blame.
HAMMER: Dina Lohan also tells "Good Morning, America," the media has gotten rougher on Lindsey since she was at the peak of her stardom back when she was 18.
LOHAN: I think the media has changed. You know, when Lindsay was 18, that whole group of girls, Paris, just -- like the whole -- I think is just changed.
HAMMER: Ah. We hearken back to the simpler times when Lindsay Lohan was 18. It was 2004. George W. Bush won his second term in office, and an 18-year-old Lindsay Lohan was starring in a new movie called "Mean Girls."
LINDSAY LOHAN, ACTRESS: I knew how this would be settled in the animal world.
HAMMER: Of course, since then, by our count, Lohan has racked up five stays in rehab, two DUI arrests, including drunkenly chasing an unsuspecting victim and called 911.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my God! (INAUDIBLE). We need help.
HAMMER: A cocaine possession arrest, two jail stays, countless probation violations. And now, a felony grand theft charge. Still on "Good Morning, America" this morning, Dina said the media is ignoring the whole story.
LOHAN: You`re not focusing on her sobriety and how well she does and what`s been going on personally with her, you know? Nobody talks about the positive.
REILLY: What positive is there?
HAMMER: Comedienne Carey Reilly tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Lohan and her mom can only blame one person for Lindsay`s bad press, and it`s not the media.
REILLY: She hasn`t done a lot of positive things to create positive press.
HAMMER: In fact, over the years, just about all of Lindsay`s problems, mistakes, and alleged crimes seem to have come complete with a TV appearance by her mother, where she places some blame on the media.
LOHAN: It`s been very difficult with the tabloids.
REILLY: This has always been Dina`s strategy is blame everyone else. And how is it working for you?
HAMMER: On her appearance today on "Good Morning, America," Dina did acknowledge mistakes on Lindsay`s part.
LOHAN: She got a dui in 2007. Certainly, that is not the right thing to do. And I do not condone drinking and driving, but it happens, and it happened for her publicly. She`s still paying a price for that, and I think they need to just let it go.
HAMMER: But, with Lindsay facing down the barrel of a possible prison sentence and admitted addiction problem and an overall inability to stay out of trouble, Dina Lohan may just need to let the blame the media tours go as well.
REILLY: She needs to take the stance of, you know, what the buck stops here and my daughter`s got some issues, and she`s got to work her way through it, instead of making excuses. It`s exhausting.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER (on-camera): I got to tell you, I honestly believe for every step Lindsay tries to take in the right direction, her parents really seem to sabotage her by mouthing off on national TV of all places. So, that brings us to our "Showbiz Flashpoint," is Dina Lohan out of line by blaming the media for sensationalizing Lindsay`s problem?
Right now in Hollywood, comedienne, Beth Littleford. You can see her on MTV, "Hard Time of RJ Berger," and you can look for her in Steve Carell`s upcoming movie, "Crazy, Stupid Love." With me in New York, Egypt Sherrod. She`s a radio host for New York City`s WBLS and editor of "Egypt Said So." So, Egypt to our "Showbiz Flashpoint," do you think Dina is totally out of line for what she said?
EGYPT SHERROD, NEW YORK RADIO HOST, WBLS: You know, here`s what I did understand at first, well, she`s saying the media was exacerbating the situations, sort of like, every time Lindsay gets a leg up and tried to pull herself together, she picks up a magazine and spirals out of control or is she saying the media is the problem and there to blame for everything that happened in Lindsay`s life? I give Dina a little bit of credit. I can`t believe that she`s going to go on live television and say you, guys, put the booze in her hand.
HAMMER: Hold on. Egypt gives Lindsay credit.
SHERROD: A little bit of credit.
HAMMER: Make a small little dash here.
SHERROD: Here`s the problem, A.J. I mean, I interviewed Michael Lohan last year, and from him, I hear Dina`s the problem. From Dina, we hear Michael`s the problem. From Lindsay, both of my parents are the problem. And now, we`ll all blame the world. When is someone going to take responsibility for what`s happening here? Lindsay is not a little girl anymore.
HAMMER: It doesn`t seem like that`s going to happen, and Dina also saying the media is the problem. I want you to take a look at this. These are shots, if we can put them up, of Lindsay entering court over and over again over the past six months. There is no question to Egypt`s point the media makes a spectacle of Lindsay`s drama, but that said, Beth, is Dina out line for blaming the media for sensationalizing Lindsay`s problem?
BETH LITTLEFORD, COMEDIENNE: I understand where Dina`s coming from. A mother wants to defend her child. What`s happening and it`s counter intuitive to what she wants to do is she needs to let Lindsay hit her bottom. You know, I think, it`s common for mothers, kids with alcohol and drug problems to defend them and help them, and you know, excuse their behavior. That`s cushioning a button. You know, a regular gal who has several DUIs and loses work has to face the consequences, and in parenting circles, that`s called natural consequences for your child.
SHERROD: I disagree. I don`t think that, as a mother, she needs to let her daughter hit rock bottom. I think, as a parent, they need to step up and help her face her ugly harsh reality that you have some issues that you need to work through, but, as parent, what she and Michael both need to do is stay out of the press. I mean, that has to be hard for Lindsay. Every time she turns around, one of her parents is on television talking about her issue, but absolutely, not let her hit rock bottom.
HAMMER: Let me jump in for one second because one of the things that occurred this morning on "Good Morning, America" was you had Dina Lohan getting all upset that people would dare to compare her daughter`s situation with Charlie Sheen`s situation. I think that`s ridiculous. I think it`s a very viable comparison, particularly, given their history. It doesn`t matter what the age difference is. They`re dealing with the same type of issues.
But speaking of Charlie, I have to get to this big news breaks today from his ex-wife, Denise Richards. On "The View" this morning, Denise Richards revealed how she`s trying to explain Charlie`s wild behavior to the young daughters. I mean, imagine that, from Charlie`s hotel rampage in New York to going to rehab again. Denise says she`s never surprised by what Charlie does, but she is disturbed that she has to explain it to their children, who are just five and six years old. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DENISE RICHARDS, ACTRESS: It`s easy to control what is on television at my house, but at school, it does get difficult. This has been a difficult situation.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What do you tell them?
RICHARDS: Well, I`ve had to have a couple conversations with them at this point.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And say?
RICHARDS: There`s books out there for any other parent going through something similar that help a child, you know, learn about different things going on. There are books that are out there, one in particular, I`m blanking on the title, it explains addiction to children. There are images and pictures that in my -- you know, that a child can understand.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: I just find that so disturbing. Egypt, you think that alone would help Charlie get his act together. I actually have some sympathy for Denise here.
SHERROD: You know, I sat next to her at the Indashio Fashion Show this week during fashion week, and she has an aura of sadness around her. And I knew this was what it was. It has to be hard as a mother right now, essentially, a single mother, you know, raising your children who you can`t say daddy`s a bad man, daddy`s wrong thing, because they love their father.
HAMMER: But there has to be a degree of honesty.
SHERROD: You know, and how do you tell your kids that? I feel so sad for her.
HAMMER: Not an enviable position at all. Egypt Sherrod, Beth Littleford, thank you both so much.
I got to move on now to bombshell confessions today from Bombshell McGee.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER (voice-over): You know, the tattooed stripper who says that she had an affair with Jesse James. Why this woman who helped ruin Sandra Bullock`s marriage says she`d do it again.
"BOMBSHELL" MCGEE, PORN STAR (ph): Infamy in this industry is so short-lived. You`re forgotten by the next scandal. So, I guess, the whole thing is, you know, you might as capitalize off of it.
HAMMER: That`s just disgusting. But does bombshell get any point for at least being honest?
Showbiz breaks news about JWOWW. Explosive revelations from the ""Jersey Shore"" right here about her nude photos and videos.
BROOKE ANDERSON, HOST: They also went through a really tough breakup on the show with your ex-boyfriend who`s named Tom, and there were these awful reports that he stole your hard drive sold nude photos of you.

PARIS HILTON, MODEL: Yes.
LETTERMAN: Paris Hilton for men, can you still buy that?
HILTON: Yes. There are all out of 11 different fragrances.
LETTERMAN: What kind of man buys that, seriously?
HAMMER (voice-over): Hey, don`t laugh. People are, apparently, buying lots of Paris Hilton`s stuff. Paris on the "Late Show with David Letterman" there talking about her empire. Paris just turned 30, and she launched her 11th fragrance and her new iPhone app. I haven`t seen it. I actually hear it`s pretty cool.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER (on-camera): Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And now, from Paris Hilton`s empire to Jessica Simpson`s. It`s a showbiz special report. Jessica`s money secrets. Now, she may not be the hottest singer anymore, but doesn`t really matter. Jessica Simpson sure can sell a lot of handbags, shoes and clothes. I can tell you that Jessica Simpson`s fashion company which grown so fast today, it`s likely to pass the $1 billion sales mark. Yes, I just said billion. Here`s CNN`s Alina Cho for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(SINGING) I think I`m in love.
ALINA CHO, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Jessica Simpson is an American sweetheart, the girl known for her gaffes.
JESSICA SIMPSON, ACTRESS: I know it`s tuna, but it says chicken by the sea.
CHO: Good looks.
SIMPSON: You all ready to order?
CHO: And turning the tabloids. But Jessica Simpson is also a mega fashion brand.
You`ve got sweaters, shoes, jewelry, handbags, hats. I mean, did you ever think?
SIMPSON: No, honestly this isn`t an even like a dream that I had. I mean, I played with Barbies when I was little and I liked to dress them up.
CHO: Now, she`s dressing up real people head to toe. A full fashion line named after who else but herself.
PHILLIP BLOCH, CELEBRITY`S STYLIST: She could end up selling food. She could end up selling house wear. She could end up selling cars. She`s like the next version of Martha Stewart.
CHO: Before you doubt it, get this, just five years after its launch, The Jessica Simpson Collection has 21 different product categories. Everything from butterfly patterned dresses to boots definitely not made for walking to perfume, even luggage. With well over $500 million in annual sales, on track to be a billion dollar brand by 2012.
SIMPSON: It`s the most lucrative thing I do, absolutely.
CHO: It is?
SIMPSON: Yes.
CHO: So, how does she manage it all? Lots of help from her co- creative director, her mom.
What`s most important for you?
TINA SIMPSON, JESSICA SIMPSON`S MOTHER: That it`s real for Jessica, you know, like, it`s real to her. Like, nothing goes through approval if isn`t like something that Jessica wouldn`t be interested in, wouldn`t love.
JESSICA SIMPSON (ph): I like you said it doesn`t have a collar.
TINA SIMPSON (ph): Yes, that`s a great jacket.
JESSICA SIMPSON: I am definitely a girly girl. So, it was fun for me to like even put together color palates or like create some pair of jeans that a woman would feel comfortable in.
CHO: That`s right. The brand`s latest venture is a full line of jeans.
JEFF GENNETTE, MACY`S CHIEF MERCHANDISING OFFICER: She`s a curvy fit. And there`s a lot of women out there that are looking for a jean that fits a curvy woman.
CHO: Something that tabloids have taunted her about, making light of her weight battle.
JESSICA SIMPSON: I don`t like to read that stuff about myself. Yes, the world doesn`t like me. Whoa, they think I`m a size 100.
CHO: But it`s this candor, relatability, that industry insiders say consumers love.
Where do you want to see this brand go? I mean, five years from now, ten years from now.
JESSICA SIMPSON: Oh, I`m thinking even after I`m gone. I would like for it to be around.
CHO: You are that all-American girl, aren`t you?
JESSICA SIMPSON: Well, I hope so. I hope I`m the all-American girl. I think I am.
CHO: I think you are.
(SINGING)

Managing the mistresses. ABC`s Nightline has just revealed there is a woman who has become a mistress manager. Yes, she managing the careers of the women who have had affairs with everyone from Tiger Woods to Jesse James. Her name is Gina Rodriguez. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
GINA RODRIGUEZ, THE MISTRESS MANAGER (ph): I`ve taken these girls that were involved in these, you know, sex scandals and built them a career on their own. I was watching the scandals happen like one after another, all these cheating scandals coming out. I thought there was a vacant space there, and I went in there and grabbed them.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Well, Rodriguez says she scheduled public appearances, put together make-up lines, even markets sex tapes for these ladies. I got to bring in New York radio host, Egypt Sherrod, who`s also the editor of egyptsaidso.com. Egypt, I got to tell you, this makes my skin crawl but stepping back anything wrong with managing mistresses for money.
SHERROD: A.J., there is a term for this. It`s called pimping the game, literally and figuratively. I mean, she`s found her niche, and she`s getting in where she fits in. No matter what, these ladies will be in the press, so why not have a manager? I think, the insane part of it is that women are actually building careers off of being mistresses.
HAMMER: And perhaps aspiring now to be mistresses so they can build these careers. You`re right, though, about one thing. It is a niche market. Let me bring in Beth Littleford who is the star of the "Hard Time of RJ Berger" returning to MTV March 28th, and she`s also in the upcoming movie starring with Steve Carell, I might add, "Crazy, Stupid Love" is the name of that. Beth, anything wrong with managing mistresses or is that just crazy stupid?
LITTLEFORD: Well, if she didn`t step in as the pimp, someone else would, but you just want to shout to the young women watching like do not aspire to be this, either the mistress or the mistress manager, like that way madness life. These women will be washed up and hollowed out in the blink of an eye.
HAMMER: It`s not a god career path with a bright future.
LITTLEFORD: Not a good career path.
SHERROD: I feel like I`m in the wrong career. She`s making millions.
LITTLEFORD: I don`t know that she`s making millions, but I don`t know how she sleeps at night.
HAMMER: I come from an agency with high standards. I don`t think they`ll be adding a mistress division any time soon.
(CROSSTALK)
LITTLEFORD: Is she the devil or have we all gone to hell in a hand basket, and she`s just the --
(CROSSTALK)
HAMMER: One of the mistresses manager`s client is Bombshell McGee. Remember Michelle McGee? We remember her, of course, as the woman at the center of the Sandra Bullock-Jesse James cheating scandal that helps lead to the end of Sandra Bullock`s marriage. Well, check this out, Bombshell tells nightline she`s making so much cash. If she had to do it again, she would. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MCGEE: Take away the negative aspects of it, take away Sandra Bullock getting hurt, being put in that position --
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How do you take that away?
MCGEE: You know what, for the money-wise, absolutely. Absolutely.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`d hurt her again?
MCGEE: No. I said if I could take it back and her not being hurt by it, absolutely. If I could exploit a situation again, I`d probably do it again.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: OK. In the interests of objectivity, Charles, can you actually take my shot right now, I want everyone to see my objective face. This is me being serious and objective. Egypt, let me ask you this. Should we at least give her points for being honest?
SHERROD: Absolutely not. Listen, you can`t have your cake and eat it, too. You`re a mistress, which means you are the other woman. Someone is bound to get hurt in an affair. I`m sorry. Sandra is not going to give you her permission to sleep with her husband next time, Michelle. It is what it is. Someone is going to get hurt.
HAMMER: Beth, sound off quickly, what do you think?
LITTLEFORD: In what Dr. Seuss book is there a land where no one is hurt by infidelity? I mean, families are torn apart. She tells herself this because she has to sleep at night, but, you know, the only people who will sign on to that statement are like Hugh Heffner`s girlfriends, like, yes, go ahead, or people who are actively cheating right now and trying to defend it.
HAMMER: Definition of rationalization right there. Egypt Sherrod, Beth Littleford, great having you both here. Appreciate it.
Well, we move on because that is not the only big bombshell making big news today. It`s JWOWW exposed. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT breaking big news today with "Jersey Shore" star Jennifer "JWOWW" Farley. In her new book, "The Rules According to JWOWW," she gives all kind of tips and advice on living life just like her.
But nothing can prepare JWOWW for what her ex-boyfriend tried to do. He tried to sell nude photos of her, and today, JWOWW admits to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Brooke Anderson, there`s video, too. It`s just one revelation today in this explosive showbiz newsmaker interview with "Jersey Shore" star, JWOWW.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: You seem very loyal on the show. You`ve kind of got a no- nonsense approach to life and to everything, friendship, relationships. And I have to tell you, it`s surprising to see you get into those brawls with other girls. I mean, they are cat fights. What is your rule about -- do you have a hard-and-fast rule about a cat fight other than maybe try to avoid them?
JWOWW: Yes. I want to say, you know, do it. But at the end of the day, I have such a strong opinion and being in that house and I don`t mind if I get disrespected, but it`s when one of my best friends gets disrespected. Of course, I have regrets, but being who I am, I`m very strong, opinionated and like I want to get my point across, especially, if I feel right, and that`s why.
ANDERSON: You even had a tough time with "The Situation" in season one.
JWOWW: Yes. I mean, you don`t get to really see what goes on. These fights are like 45 minutes to an hour, and they cut down the fat. And, you know, they just want to show what`s strong. So, it was like build up and you add drinks to it and then, you know, the cattiness.
ANDERSON: You also went through a really tough breakup on the show with your ex-boyfriend who`s named Tom, and there were these awful reports that he stole your hard drive and sold nude photos of you. What happened with that?
JWOWW: The hard drive didn`t have any photos on it. It was my hard drive of my whole childhood and all my college. The nude photos, I actually don`t know what they are. The judge, obviously, ordered them -- that they weren`t of consent, so he didn`t -- he`s not allowed to publicize them and there`s video, I guess so --
ANDERSON: Video, too?
JWOWW: Yes. It`s nothing like -- it`s not -- and I don`t recommend this for anybody. It`s not like me posing or like, you know how like girls like do that and send pictures? No. These are like sleeping or things like that.
ANDERSON: Oh. Sleeping in the nude?
JWOWW: Something like that. Yes.
ANDERSON: And video of you sleeping in the nude?
JWOWW: I have no idea. These were taken in February, he says. And this was only six months in a relationship. This isn`t like six months before we even broke up. So, it makes me think if like did he have it kind of like planned?
ANDERSON: Oh, so you think he maybe had ulterior motives from the beginning?
JWOWW: Yes.
ANDERSON: Oh, that`s terrible.
JWOWW: Yes.
ANDERSON: Is it hard to deal with this sort of thing in front of cameras?
JWOWW: Yes, but "Jersey Shore" really is my family. I mean, not even just the seven people in the house, but the production company and MTV.
ANDERSON: We have heard these astronomical figures that you, guys, get for just even appearing at a club.
JWOWW: Yes.
ANDERSON: Talking about outside of the show. So, if I wanted to book you, JWOWW, to appear at an event, walk the red carpet, say hi, spend an hour, what would I pay?
JWOWW: I`m not allowed to meet (ph) numbers, but I`ll hook you up. No, I`m just kidding.
(LAUGHTER)
ANDERSON: Give me a discount. Give SHOWBIZ TONIGHT a discount.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is about to name the "Most Provocative Celebrity of the Week." Get ready.

HAMMER (voice-over): The nominees, Billy Ray Cyrus for his Hannah Montana regrets, Lady Gaga for her Grammy egg and the Madonna Copycat accusations, and Charlie Sheen for saying, hey, crack`s OK if you can manage it socially.
"Star Wars," we`re taking you inside the big star battles that go under in fashion week to get the hottest seats in the house. It`s a showbiz special report.
And there are two women who are swearing to eat their product for a month and broadcast it online. Oh, what they`re selling and eating -- dog food.
MOOS: Feed me.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Feed you?
MOOS: Maybe a little slower.
I mean, I can swallow it.
HAMMER: I have to show you more of this. You`re not going to believe it.
This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN, news and views.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER (on-camera): Time now for the "Showbiz News Ticker," more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom, making news today.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Let`s say here how many girls have you kissed?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you want to guess?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m going to guess like a thousand.
(LAUGHTER)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You never know. That could be close. No, I`m joking. I really don`t know. I don`t know.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, you do.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And now, a showbiz special report. "Star Wars" at fashion week. The fashion elite is out in full force for New York City`s fall 2011 fashion week, and right there in the front row at all of the top fashion shows, some of Hollywood`s biggest, most stylish stars. So, how do the stars get one of those hot seats? Here`s CNN`s Alina Cho for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
CHO (voice-over): Anna Wintour, the powerful editor in chief of "Vogue" has been sitting in the front row for more than 20 years. She earned it. Fashion`s equivalent of an Olympic gold medal.
ASHANTI, SINGER: You get to see everything magnified head to toe. You know, you can see the toenail polish.
(LAUGHTER)
ASHANTI: You know, you get to see everything upfront and personal.
CHO: The fabric, hair and make-up, all the details you can`t see from rows two, three, and four.
GLENDA BAILEY, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, HARPER`S BAZAAR: It`s very practical because you can see the full looks very clearly. If you sit behind, you`re missing the shoes.
CHO: Who sits in the front row? Top editors, big buyers, celebrities. Sometimes, CNN correspondent, what some calls the fashion elite.
CINDY LEVY, GLAMOUR" MAGAZINES EDITOR-IN-CHIEF: Great thing about being in the front row --
CHO: Like petite, Cindy Levy, "Glamour" magazines editor-in-chief.
LEVY: I spent a lot of time as a junior editor laboring along in back rows before I got to sit here, and I`m 5`2," so I`m very happy to be moved in the front row.
CHO: How do you claw your way to the front? You make friends with the designers, buy a lot of clothes --
OWEN DAVIDSON, FASHION SHOW DESIGNER: Just take a look at some of the people that RSVP.
CHO: Or know this guy.
DAVIDSON: People come up with the craziest stories, like they went to school with me or, you know, they know me somehow, and they`re complete strangers. People send, you know, letters and gifts. I mean, it`s just insane.
CHO: Owen Davidson is in charge of seating for several fashion shows, including Carolina Herrera`s 980 seats, only a hundred make it to the front row.
DAVIDSON: Someone`s going to show up that didn`t RSVP that demands a front row seat and is going to be, you know, a moment of drama. CHO: Here`s a sneak peek at the elaborate sitting chart which he says is like sitting a wedding. You have to get along with the person next to you.
DAVIDSON: It`s so incredibly political. I mean, you can`t put, you know, the Harper`s Bazaar right next to "Vogue" magazine, for example. Same thing goes with retailers.
CHO: What`s in it for the designer? This is Herrera`s front row.
CAROLINA HERRERA, FASHION DESIGNER: I think it`s important to have good people in the front row so you can (INAUDIBLE).
CHO: It`s all about the press, isn`t it?
HERRERA: I think so. What do you think this show is all about? It`s about the press.
CHO: Diane Von Furstenberg is another designer who has mastered the art of seating. Her front row is always packed with celebrities.
DIANE VON FURSTENBERG, FASHION DESIGNER: The fact that Fergie is going to sit on the front row today. That`s hot.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The entire runway show experience laughed (ph) about finding (INAUDIBLE) clothes, but you`re actually at the venue for over an hour, in some cases, waiting for the show to begin, taking their seat, waiting for the designer to be ready for the show. To fill that time, there`s an awful lot of taking pictures of the front row.
CHO: Why we could see some unlikely folks show pup?
Could we see a Snooki?
ERIC WILSON, NEW YORK TIMES: It`s actually going to point of debate whether Snooki will actually come to fashion week.
CHO: Speaking of reality stars --
ANDY COHEN, BRAVO`S REAL HOUSEWIVES: Just more leg room. That`s it. I mean, I have no business being here.
CHO: It doesn`t matter. "Real Housewives" host, Andy Cowen, is a paparazzi magnet. Part of the currency that could land you in the front row.
COHEN: It`s nice. It`s a compliment, but I`m not a buyer. What am I doing here?
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Thanks to CNN`s Alina Cho SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
Time now for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s name the "Most Provocative Celebrity of the week." Here are your nominees, Billy Ray Cyrus for saying he now regrets that his daughter, Miley, ever did her hit TV show, Hannah Montana. Lady Gaga for her eggs-cellent entrance into the Grammy Award and the outrageous Madonna copycat claims or will we name Charlie Sheen? You know, he said crack, it`s fine, as long as you can manage it socially.
I`d like to bring in Noel Nikpour. Noelle is a columnist with "South Florida Sunset." Who should we name SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s "Most Provocative Celebrity of the Week," Noelle?
NOEL NIKPOUR, COLUMNIST, "SOUTH FLORIDA SUNSET": A.J., this was totally easy. It`s Charlie Sheen. He is a whack job to actually get on there and say that crack is OK socially if you can handle it. And not to mention, this Teflon star is going to see what it feels like to stick to the pan for once.
HAMMER: I hear you on that, although, you know, this is behavior we`ve seen from Charlie again. Now, we did ask you to text your vote and also vote on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page, the results in late today. Look it out. This went down Charlie Sheen won the text vote, 63 percent. Over on the Facebook page, Charlie Sheen got the most votes, too.
Out to Steve Wilson, comedian and radio host in Hollywood, who`s your pick, Steve?
STEVE WILSON, COMEDIAN AND RADIO HOST: A.J., first of all, I don`t understand why people are saying this dude is out of control. He is a TV star. Charlie Sheen hands down as the "Most Provocative Person of the Week." This dude makes $2 million a week. He`s supposed to live like that. I mean, don`t get me wrong. I wouldn`t buy prostitutes but every stripper in North America would know me personally.
HAMMER: All right. Noelle, apparently, you know, he`s doing it exactly like he`s supposed to be doing it, according to Steve there.
NIKPOUR: Oh, my gosh. Yes, totally. He`s doing it just like a star would. But like I said again, look for some changes in Charlie Sheen`s life.
HAMMER: But was this behavior, this week, enough to be named "Most Provocative Celebrity of the Week? Give me that drum roll, please, Jason. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT now names Billy Ray Cyrus as the "Most Provocative Celebrity of the Week." To me, it`s incredibly provocative that he said the show that made his daughter a global star ruined his family, and he wished Miley never did the show. Steve, do you see where I`m coming from?
WILSON: No, not at all. First of all, that show didn`t ruin his life. He should be more concerned about his daughter becoming a stripper than worrying about how that show ruined his life. That`s terrible.
HAMMER: All right. Well, that`s our choice, and we will leave it there. Steve Wilson, Noelle Nikpor, I thank you both.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER (voice-over): So, two women are going on the internet to eat dog food for a month. These dog food divas mean business. Did you see this?
MOOS: Just a couple of girls sitting around, polishing off a pint of ice cream. Wait a minute, that`s not ice cream. It`s dog food.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`re not messing around.
HAMMER: The crazy canine cuisine caper is next.
This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN, news and views.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER (on-camera): It is time now for the "Showbiz News Ticker." These are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom, making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Did you see this? Two entrepreneurs just revealed a dog gone wild idea to drum up some business for their pet food company. Starting next month, they plan to go online and chow down on their Fido food for a month. Did you see this? CNN`s Jeanne Moos gets a taste of this crazy canine cuisine caper for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
MOOS: Just a couple of girls sitting around, polishing off a pint of ice cream. Wait a minute, that`s not ice cream, it`s dog food.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`re not messing around.
MOOS: Starting in March, these two Brooklyn entrepreneurs plan to subsist on dog food for a month.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This is chicken. This happens to be my favorite for snacking.
MOOS: It`s their dog food called "Ever More."
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: "Ever More" because ingredients matter more than ever.
MOOS: They use only human grade ingredients like chicken with yams and kerosene (ph) blueberry. Hannah`s dog, Connor, licked his bowl clean, but would I?
Feed me.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Feed you?
MOOS: Maybe a little smaller.
I mean, not to swallow it.
You know, homage to the documentary in which Morgan Spurlock ate only McDonalds.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Supersized me.
MOOS: To eat only dog food for a month project is called ever more meat. The women had no marketing budget, so they`re trying this.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`re putting our mouth where our money is.
MOOS: They`re going to stream a live web cast of their daily meal.
You wouldn`t eat a can --
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I would never.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, absolutely not.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And that`s why in part, why we use this.
MOOS: You guys are like dog foodies.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Kind of, yes.
MOOS: Reminds us of the guy on YouTube who did a man versus dog eating competition. The dog won with spaghetti. The dog won with roast beef. The dog won with canned dog food, but the man won with carrots and a completely unrelated stunt the dog trainer named Nicky Musaki is already eating dog food every day indefinitely. She`s doing to draw attention to a bill called Nitro`s Law. Nitro is a dog who died of starvation at a boarding kennel. Nitro`s Law would make animal abuse penalties harsher in Ohio.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I am naked for Nitro`s Law.
MOOS: She`s gotten naked eating whacky dog cuisine. Her dog food recipes range from nacho chips and cheese microwave to her crazy canine quesadilla. She`s even suggesting a dog food eat-off.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Conan O`Brien, are you going to eat dog food with me?
MOOS: Hey, he`s already shared a dog biscuit with Glenn close, but if you try dog food, Conan, we suggest adding salt.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The salt is great for bringing out all the flavors.
MOOS: May not leave you howling for more. At least, your dog won`t complain about your breath.
(LAUGHTER)
