"Glee" Kiss Showdown; CBS Wants Charlie Sheen Back?; Tiger P.I.?; LeAnn Rimes Calls a Truce

Aired March 21, 2011 - 23:00   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - the shocking "Glee" kiss showdown. A brand-new war of words erupts today after a former "SNL" star calls the "Glee" guy-guy kiss sickening.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Hey, Charlie, come on back. The explosive reports today that CBS wants Charlie Sheen to come back to "Two and a Half Men."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHARLIE SHEEN, ACTOR: What you don`t see is all the years of hard work and dedication it took to make me the happy-go-lucky drunk and ass-wrangler I am today.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - would you want to see Charlie back on the show?

HAMMER: Tiger P.I.? Revealed today - the woman at the center of the Tiger Woods cheating scandal is now a private detective. Come on, really?

ANDERSON: LeAnn calls a truce today. LeAnn Rimes finally patches things up with the ex-wife of the guy she had an affair with. But we`ve got to ask, will these two really keep the peace?

HAMMER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show -

ANDERSON: Breaks news right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - "Glee" gay kiss outrage. There`s a brand-new debate raging over that kiss on "Glee" between two of the show`s leading teen characters.

HAMMER: Yes. And Brooke, some say it`s a great way to let kids know it`s OK to be gay. But today, former "Saturday Night Live" star, Victoria Jackson, is generating big outrage over what she just blogged about the kiss. She called it sickening.

ANDERSON: And Victoria Jackson is with us today in Atlanta for an exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsmaker interview speaking out and defending what she wrote. Victoria, thank you so much for joining us.

VICTORIA JACKSON, BLOGGER AND FORMER "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" STAR: You`re welcome.

ANDERSON: All right. First, I want to take a look at what you wrote in your column for the Web site "World Net Daily" about the kiss and the show.

Here it is, "Did you see `Glee` this week? Sickening! And besides shoving the gay theme down our throats, they made a mockery of Christians again. I wonder what their agenda is. Hey, producers of `Glee,` what`s your agenda? One-way tolerance?"

And Victoria, you previously wrote about gay marriage and gay relationships. In article, you said, "I don`t care what is politically correct. Everyone knows that two men on a wedding cake is a comedy skit, not an alternate lifestyle. There, I said it. Ridiculous."

Victoria, I want to get to your response to how people are responding today. But first, let`s take a look at the kiss in question on "Glee" last week between the characters Kurt and Blaine. Here it is.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DARREN CRISS, ACTOR (as Blaine Anderson): You move me, Kurt. And this duet would just be an excuse to spend more time with you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Victoria, I`ve been reading the responses today on Web sites all over. And basically, you are being accused of homophobic. How do you respond to that?

V. JACKSON: Well, I`m - it doesn`t matter what I think. What matters is what the Bible says. And I`m really concerned about our country because immorality is - well, let`s see. Secular humanism rules the airwaves, and it`s stealing the innocence away from this whole generation of children. My daughter`s a teenager and I can`t find any show that she can watch.

ANDERSON: So you`re - you don`t believe you`re homophobic? You just believe in -

V. JACKSON: That`s a cute little buzz word of the liberal agenda. Basically, the Bible says homosexuality is a sin. But it has also - gossip is listed in the same paragraph as an equal sin.

And the reason the Bible tells us what is a sin is to point us to the savior and show us we need one, Jesus Christ. And I have noticed that the liberal agenda is anti-Christ and - I mean anti-Jesus.

ANDERSON: Let`s keep this focused on "Glee" and what you wrote about the show.

V. JACKSON: Well, that`s what it`s about.

ANDERSON: We posted what you wrote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall today. And Victoria, frankly, we were blown away by the response.

Listen to what Nicole Ann writes, "This is America. Things you see on TV are things that are happening in real life, and there are gay/lesbian kids out there who are afraid to express themselves. Everyone should be treated equally."

So Victoria, do you understand the other side of the argument in defense of "Glee"? Some are saying the show could actually be helping kids.

(CROSS TALK)

V. JACKSON: I would like - no, it not helping. They should have a celibacy campaign and tell kids that 50 percent of teenagers now have this new STD from oral sex. That`s what they should be, you know, doing instead of trying to make kids gay.

Now listen, I just want to know why the liberals are pro-Muslim and pro- gay. Muslims kill gays. That`s what`s confusing to me. And the only thing I can come up with is that the Muslims hate God and the gays hate his word.

ANDERSON: You did also write about your concerns about Muslims, your fears about Muslims in the same article where you did include this blistering (INAUDIBLE) about "Glee." But I also want to say, Victoria, that you say that producers of "Glee" have an agenda of one-way tolerance that mocks Christians.

V. JACKSON: Yes.

ANDERSON: OK. The show`s creator, Ryan Murphy, has told "TV Guide" that he was all too aware there was not a strong Christian presence on the show. So in June, he decided to add a Christian character saying, quote, "We`ve taken a couple of jabs at the right-wing this year," he admitted that.

"So what I want to do with this character is have someone who Christian kids and parents can recognize and say, `Oh, look, I`m represented there, too.` If we`re trying to form a world of inclusiveness, we`ve got to include that point of view as well." So Victoria, good enough or not good enough?

V. JACKSON: I think there`s a spiritual war in our country right now, Ephesians 6:12. And I want to encourage people who love the word of God to stand up for what they believe in and not hide in church and preach to the choir.

This culture is affecting our children and making them run away from Jesus Christ and that is - God can`t bless our nation if we are spitting in his face. Leviticus 26 says, "God will bless the nation that blesses him." And that`s all I`m trying to say. I have gay friends and we love each other.

ANDERSON: OK. Thank you so much for expressing your point of view. We definitely appreciate your time today, Victoria. Victoria Jackson, thank you so much.

HAMMER: OK, right now, I need to move on to even more big news breaking today. The almost hard to believe, incredible report today that CBS wants Charlie Sheen back on "Two and a Half Men."

It`s out there. "Radar Online" is reporting today that CBS chief, Les Moonves, is trying to smooth out relations between Sheen and his former show`s co-creator, Chuck Lorre. That leads to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - Charlie back to "Two and a Half Men," too far-fetched?

Let me go to Bonnie Fuller right now, who is the president and editor of "HollywoodLife.com." What do you think when you consider all the bad blood between them, Bonnie? Is that even possible at this point?

BONNIE FULLER, PRESIDENT AND EDITOR, "HOLLYWOOODLIFE.COM": I think it`s absolutely possible because it`s all about money, because Les Moonves is looking and saying, "Hey, there`s a lot of money on the table out there. We can make it if we get Charlie Sheen back."

And you know what? If he we would like - we`ve confirmed they are indeed talking about bringing him back and that Charlie is interested in going back.

HAMMER: OK. And we here at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT have not independently confirmed that yet. I`ve got to tell you, I think CBS is going to have a heck of a hard time with all of this.

I mean, Charlie has burned some serious bridges, not just with Chuck Lorre, but with an entire network and even with Warner Brothers. Take a look at some of his bashing best right here. Here`s what he said about Chuck Lorre.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHEEN: Hi-ya, Chuck E. Cheese Ball. Where you hiding, silly clown? Behind your narcissism? Your greed? Your hatred of yourself? Or women? I see you, you little worm.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: What do you think? Rob Shuter from "PopEater.com" - do you think this is even possible? I mean, can you imagine the tension on that work set?

ROB SHUTER, COLUMNIST, "POPEATER.COM": It`s going to be awkward. That`s going to be his new word, not "winning" but "awkward." However, money does make strange bedfellows in L.A. -

SHUTER: And there`s a lot of money on the table. If Charlie apologizes, maybe we can see him come back.

HAMMER: Won`t that be something. Rob Shuter, Bonnie Fuller, thanks, guys. Appreciate it.

ANDERSON: All right. Get this. Tiger P.I.? Revealed today - the woman at the center of the Tiger Woods cheating scandal is now a private detective? Come on, really?

HAMMER: Justin Bieber, bigger than Michael Jackson? Could this be? Wait until you hear the unbelievable proof I have of that, coming up next.

ANDERSON: Inside the star smackdowns on "Celebrity Apprentice." Here`s one of the nastiest ones - NeNe Leakes taking on Star Jones.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NENE LEAKES, "CELEBRITY APPRENTICE" CONTESTANT: Trust me. Star feels like the other girls didn`t protect her or have her back. She says that she`s not going to stick her neck out again, but she is.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: The headline-making newsmaker interview with Hope Dworaczyk. She`s on "The Apprentice" right now and is revealing the secrets of the boardroom smackdowns. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Here comes the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Arnold Schwarzenegger to star in an international TV series. Russell Brand tells us he`s ready to retire now that he`s worked with Hasselhoff.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RUSSELL BRAND, ACTOR AND COMEDIAN: I`ve worked with David Hasselhoff. That`s what I set out to do. That done, I can retire. God bless America.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: It`s the disturbing video that shocked the world - a boy being punched and bullied fights back, then body-slams the kid picking on him Today, in a dramatic new interview, the boy who was bullied is speaking out for the very first time.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood, A.J. Hammer in New York. And A.J., This is a really disturbing, sad story.

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. Ever since the first time I saw it, I can`t get that image out of my head.

ANDERSON: Fifteen-year-old Australian, Casey Heynes, was being bullied for years about his weight. Then, he just couldn`t take it anymore. He snapped and it was all caught on tape and the video of him body-slamming a bully stunned us all.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We`re laughing at you!

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Wow, this is getting sad, bro.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Now, today, in a brand-new interview with "A Current Affair Australia," Casey makes the emotional revelation that he considered the unthinkable, taking his own life.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What was your lowest moment?

CASEY HEYNES, BULLYING VICTIM: When I contemplated suicide.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: When was that?

HEYNES: Like a year ago. I just put myself down - I put myself down to that level. And then, all the crap just kept on piling on.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Poor kid. A.J. I really feel for Casey. And it makes me angry that no adult did anything, stepped in before it got to that point that he just couldn`t take it anymore. Nobody stepped in.

HAMMER: Hopefully, he`s on a much better path now. All right. Over to "The Buzz Today," just in today, big awards today for Ricky Martin, Tina Fey, even CNN`s own Anderson Cooper.

Also, Eva Longoria - she`s not just sitting home sad over her divorce. Oh, no. She`s out partying with a younger guy. And the startling new proof that Justin Bieber is bigger there and Michael Jackson - well, at least in one way.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) The Biebs triumphs over Jackson. Bieber`s "Never Say Never" is now the most successful concert-themed movie in U.S. history, surpassing Michael Jackson`s "This is It" at the box office.

Justin`s flick has earned over $72.2 million at the domestic box office over all, passing "This is It," which has grossed $72.1 million domestically. But "This is It" still holds the worldwide record.

Eva`s perfect life party. It was not a divorce pity party at Eva Longoria`s huge 36th birthday blowout at her Vegas nightclub. Her 26-year- old boyfriend, Eduardo Cruz by her side.

Longoria revealed her new outlook on life post-divorce, telling "People" magazine, quote, "Everything in my life is perfect," adding, "I embrace everything that`s happening. I hold dearly every experience that I have in my life. I regret nothing so, you know, I`m moving on."

Ricky Martin rocks GLAAD. Ricky Martin`s decision to come out as gay has just earned him GLAAD`s highest honor. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation handed out its latest media awards honoring stars for their representation of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community.

Russell Simmons, Tina Fey, HBO`s "True Blood" and NBC`s "30 Rock" were also honored. And for its series on gay teen suicide, CNN`s "Anderson Cooper 360" got the group`s "best in journalism" award.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: Time now for the SHOWBIZ royals watch today. I`ve got your very first look at William and Kate. This is a Lifetime movie about Prince William and Kate Middleton`s romance. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: He`s just a guy. He`s just a guy. He happens to be the future king of England.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Lifetime viewers are going to get a great love story.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Will is struggling to be a normal guy.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I just want to keep our relationship private.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He`s a model in terms of sacrificing.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I love you.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I love you. No one can take that from me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The romance - it got hot. But I love it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: "William and Kate" airs April 18th on Lifetime. And now, I will have the best and biggest coverage of the real royal wedding when I`m in London on April 29th and the week leading up to it.

Do not go anywhere now because I`m going to tell you, coming up, how you could end up covering the royal wedding for CNN just by making a short iReport video. It`s easy.

HAMMER: All right, Brooke. I bet that if Donald Trump could run for king, he`d definitely consider it.

ANDERSON: I believe it, A.J., because he`s tossing around the idea of running for president of the United States. But he was just roasted by Comedy Central, so was that a good idea?

Our "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are lighting up in a huge way today. P.J. from Colorado loves the roast.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

P.J. CALLER FROM COLORADO: The Donald Trump roast - I think it was an excellent idea for him because it made him come from that sort of Mount Olympus real estate, presidential-race person and become a real person that we can all identify.

I`m an independent voter and - I mean, unaffiliated voter and I think it was an excellent thing. I see him in a new light now.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thanks, P.J. Remember, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are open day and night. Remember this number - 1-888-SBT-BUZZ. That`s 1-888- 728-2899. Simply leave a message. We will play some of your calls right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Hey, John Travolta, fasten your seatbelt because there are a whole bunch of people mad at you today over this video.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHN TRAVOLTA, ACTOR: This is your captain speaking - well, maybe not today. But I can guarantee that the guys on the flight deck and the greater team care just as much about aircraft safety as I do.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Yes. "Grease" isn`t the word. It`s more like outrage. Coming up.

HAMMER: Well, they`re getting along today, finally. At least, I should say they`re not ripping each other to shreds. I`m talking about LeAnn Rimes and the ex-wife of the guy she had an affair with. But will these two really be able to play nice?

HAMMER: And revealed today, the brand-new bizarre Randy Quaid video about star whackers?

(SINGING)

ANDERSON: Something very whacky about this. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And this is the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Kiefer Sutherland says "24" movie to be released in 2012. SHOWBIZ first look! Shania Twain`s new "OWN" show.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHANIA TWAIN, SINGER: First, I find out that my marriage is over. And then, the next day, I find out about the affair. It was a real death. I really lost.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BRADLEY COOPER, ACTOR: Something wrong with law school?

T.V. CARPIO, ACTRESS: How do you know I`m in law school?

B. COOPER: People don`t usually carry around dry, academically constipated books about the Supreme Court justice.

CARPIO: You`re a creep, aren`t you?

B. COOPER: No, I just noticed the book.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Bradley Cooper`s "Limitless" tops the box office over the weekend and taking in nearly $20 million. But unfortunately, Bradley`s relationship with the lovely Renee Zellweger has reached its limit. "People" magazine reports they split up after two years of dating.

All right. Brooke Anderson, did you spend all day Saturday and Sunday listening to "Friday?"

ANDERSON: Very funny, A.J. Very funny. That song, "Friday," by 13-year- old Rebecca Black has been called the worst song and video in the world, though I think that`s a bit of an exaggeration.

HAMMER: Yes. I think it sounds pretty catchy. There are reports out there today that a follow-up to "Friday" is actually in the works.

No, it`s true, Brooke. And I can tell you at least it`s true that the reports are out there. And "Friday" has now been viewed more than 30 million times on YouTube. Let`s make that 30 million and one, shall we? Roll it.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: OK. You get the idea. But about those reports that Rebecca`s working on a follow-up, even a full album, well, the SHOWBIZ truth squad says it`s not true just yet, Brooke.

However, people are calling it the worst song ever. I realize you put yourself out there. You`re going to be subject to any kind of criticism. She`s only 13. People need to kind of -

ANDERSON: She`s only 13.

HAMMER: They need to shut it down a little bit.

ANDERSON: They do. She`s been dealing with a lot of haters. A lot of people have been very mean-spirited. And I say lay off, just let her do her thing. And I predict a full album is probably coming at this rate, A.J.

OK. Lots of posts coming in to the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall today about that new Charlie Sheen poll, the one which claims that Charlie Sheen could beat Sarah Palin and President Obama in a race for the presidency.

So we asked, would you vote for Charlie Sheen? We actually found somebody who would. Levi G. writes, "I would vote for him. We might get something done in this place."

But Chiandra H. says, "I would rather vote for my dog."

Tiger P.I.? That`s next. The woman at the center of the Tiger Woods cheating scandal now a private detective. And the guy who went after Paris Hilton on drug charges gets busted himself for drugs. Oops. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Tiger`s private eye.

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. Rachel Uchitel - you remember her - the very first woman linked to Tiger Woods in the explosive sex scandal is starting work this week as a private investigator.

But if you`re a cheating husband like Tiger Woods, well, this private eye won`t be watching you. Uchitel is dead serious about this P.I. stuff. She graduated from private detective school last week and she`s already starting her very first case.

But this famous alleged mistress tells today`s New York post she`s not interested at all in spying on cheating spouses.

"Pop Eater`s" Rob Shuter are joins me now in New York. Rob, I think good for her. It has to be nearly impossible to move on with your life after being involved in one of the biggest cheating scandals of all time. So what do you think? Is this a good move or is it just crazy talk?

SHUTER: It`s a little crazy talk but this is what helps. $10 million is what she claims to have received from Tiger to keep her mouth shut. So she`s never spoken about Tiger. If you have $10 million, you can whatever you want in America.

HAMMER: Yes, of course. All of that has never been confirmed. We don`t have it on record that it actually took place. But we have heard those reports of that alleged payoff.

To a lot of people`s surprise - I mean, I think this is what really gets people. Rachel telling the New York post she doesn`t want to follow cheating husbands around.

This is what she says about that, "Obviously, people want to go down the cheating road and assume it`s all about me finding cheating spouses. But I`m less interested in that. I`m more interested in cases that haven`t made it on `NANCY GRACE` or `JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL` but are just as important."

"Missing people, cold cases, and sure, a few liars out there who need to be exposed. I want to solve cases for the underdog, for people who don`t have a voice."

Well, that`s admirable, I suppose. Rachel, thank you, by the way, for the shout out to my HLN colleagues. Rachel has never admitted to an affair with Tiger Woods, as we were saying. She hasn`t spoken on record about it.

But she has said she did have an affair with actor David Boreanaz. So cheating spouses - yes, it is something we can say that she knows something about.

Let me go to Bonnie Fuller, president and editor-in-chief of "HollywoodLife.com. Bonnie, do you think that Rachel should just embrace her headline-making past and actually do something that maybe she knows something about and go after the cheating louses?

FULLER: Only if she was really going to nail them. But I think this is actually a brilliant career move because it`s something you would never expect.

HAMMER: Yes.

FULLER: It`s completely different. It`s full of drama. If she solves one cold case, you know, finds out about one murder, she will be national news. And you know what? She`s going to get her own TV show.

HAMMER: That`s possible, I suppose. But it is interesting, it`s either a decision to distance herself from "what people know you as," which is what she seems to be doing or embrace it and say, "Hey, I can really cash in this way."

It will be interesting to watch and see if she does actually solve a big old cold case. She`s very serious about this. As a private eye, I should point out, Rachel does bring some certain qualifications to the table.

Let me list a few of them for you right now. Now, Rachel Uchitel`s first qualification is the fact that she`s a good shot. Yes, she tells the "New York Post" her favorite weapons are the Glock and .357 magnum. Mine, too.

Her second qualification, as we`ve said, she knows about cheaters having been linked to two famous cheating husbands, Tiger Woods and David Boreanaz.

Her third qualification - we all know she can keep a secret, because, again, while all of these Tiger Woods alleged mistresses have talked to, you know, anyone who would listen, Uchitel has been as quiet as a church mouse.

So Rob, with all these qualifications, I`ve got to ask, you`re looking for a private eye. You`re flipping through the yellow pages. Are you hiring Rachel Uchitel, my friend?

SHUTER: Oh, I`ll hire her now.

HAMMER: Right.

SHUTER: She will get to the bottom of whatever trouble is at there. I`d say, hire her immediately.

HAMMER: All right. Well, there you have it. Right now, I want to get to some more big news breaking today - the Twitter war between LeAnn Rimes and the woman whose husband LeAnn stole - it`s ended.

There`s no more fight here, Brooke. What`s going on? Is this a real truce?

ANDERSON: A.J., it is. It seems to be that there`s new hope now for world peace, because you remember how this whole mess started. LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian had an affair ending both of their marriages.

So as you can imagine, supporters of Eddie`s ex, Brandi Glanville, had been launching attacks on LeAnn and they`ve been doing it via Twitter.

But in a tweet this weekend, the two women squashed the feud. They write, quote, "As a collective unit, Brandi and I would like all negativity to cease toward one another. Please, for our families` sakes stop the hate now and let us live our lives. We don`t need opinions or outside help in order for that to happen. Thanks."

There it is, look. LeAnn and Brandi. They both said some really nasty things about one another in the past. But I`ve got to say now there`s a ceasefire. I`m impressed that cooler heads are prevailing.

LeAnn and Eddie Cibrian are engaged now. I`m thinking enough time has passed that everyone wants to move on, be happy in their lives. Bonnie, do you think this bitter love triangle is finally over?

FULLER: I do. And I think it`s for the sake of the kids. There`s two young boys at the center of this. They`re Brandi`s children. They`re LeAnn`s step children. And you know, they`ve got to make peace.

There will be a wedding that`s coming soon. And they`ve got to think - they`ve got to think bigger now. And so, I, for one, am very happy that they`ve made a truce. And I hope LeAnn starts to eat now because she`s looking very skinny.

ANDERSON: Good for them for showing some maturity for the sake of the kids. All right. We got to get to yet another big story breaking today - John Travolta`s Qantas Qan-troversy. A.J. What`s that about?

HAMMER: It`s a Qan-troversy. All right. This seems very strange to me that this is even a big deal, but here`s the stories. Employees of the Australian airline, Qantas, are reportedly ticked off about the fact that Travolta appears in the airline`s preflight safety video. Take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TRAVOLTA: This is your captain speaking - well, maybe not today. But can I guarantee the guys on the flight deck and greater team care just as much about aircraft safety as I do. I`ve been flying for over 40 years as pilot and I can tell you there`s no one I`d rather have at the controls than a Qantas pilot.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. You see, I`m thinking, you sit in your seat. You`re getting ready for your flight. You see Travolta smiling up there. That`s going to make me smile. He, of course, is a long-time pilot. He`s a goodwill ambassador for the airline.

But Australia`s "Daily Telegraph" is reporting that Qantas flight crews think that the Travolta video is, as they put it, corny, cheesy and even demeaning to Qantas employees.

Look, I`m going to confess, I can`t remember the last time I actually watched the safety video that airs right before a flight takes off. I`m tuning that out pretty much. I`m thinking if John Travolta, Rob, gets people to watch this thing and actually pay attention, that`s a pretty good deal.

SHUTER: That`s a good thing and I don`t think passengers are going to be upset. Who is upset is not the public. It`s the people who work for the airline.

And the reason they`re upset is that many, many cuts are being made in the airline, and yet, Qantas decided to spend a lot of money on a big celebrity spokesperson. And I think that`s what is really getting to the bottom of this. That`s why people are angry.

HAMMER: I don`t know. They`re saying it`s corny, cheesy and even demeaning, Bonnie Fuller. I don`t know. I still go with the idea that this is a good thing. John Travolta is somebody who is potentially going to continue to help their business. I would think employees would be happy about that.

FULLER: I`m with you, A.J. I think it`s going to make me pay attention to that airline video and I usually don`t watch them. Usually, they have some kind of robotic person that doesn`t seem like a real person.

At least we know he`s a real person and he`s vouching for our safety. Now, the thing they`re upset about is that the crew is being called a "team" instead of a "crew."

HAMMER: Right.

FULLER: So apparently, the semantics is really bothering them.

HAMMER: But I`ve got to tell you, I`m guessing John Travolta didn`t adlib that and he didn`t write that script himself. That`s what I think.

FULLER: I agree.

HAMMER: All right. Rob Shuter, Bonnie Fuller, thank you both. I appreciate it.

Well, there`s big controversy today over Serena Williams` super sexy video game ad. Look at this.

(MUSIC)

What`s going on here? Is there even a game in that ad? The great debate - is Serena`s ad too sexy?

ANDERSON: "Celebrity Apprentice" secrets revealed today. The Star Jones/Lisa Rinna smackdown. Were contestants starved on the show? "Apprentice" star, Hope Dworaczyk, with the explosive inside scoop and a headline-making SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview.

(SINGING)

HAMMER: Selling your organs on eBay? Wait until you hear the bizarre story behind this wacky Randy Quaid star whacker song, coming up. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Former "Spice Girls" singer, Mel B. pregnant with third child. Kesha postpones Japan tour dates after earthquake.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Get a load of this. The deputy D.A., who threw the book at Paris Hilton and Bruno Mars for cocaine possession got arrested on his own drug charges.

"People.com" reports that Las Vegas prosecutor, David Charles Schubert, was picked up over the weekend for allegedly buying crack. The same charge against this guy is the same one Hilton and Mars were initially hit with last summer. Now, they`ve both got plea deals with no jail time. So we`ll see if this guy gets the same deal.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. A.J. Hammer is in New York.

And Donald Trump`s "Celebrity Apprentice" seems to be turning New York City into scandal city. I`m thinking that the Donald, though, is smiling from ear to ear today. The scandals just keep coming.

Last week, contestant Richard Hatch was ordered by a judge back to jail on his tax evasion charges. Contestant Star Jones and NeNe Leakes are at each other`s throats. And fired "Apprentice" contestant Lisa Rinna is claiming she was deprived of food and water while shooting the show.

Runway model Hope Dworaczyk is right there in the thick of it. She`s also on this new season of "Celebrity Apprentice." She joins me right now for a SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsmaker interview.

Hope, I`ve got to begin with the biggest "Celebrity Apprentice" scandal so far this season and that is the scandal between Star Jones and NeNe Leakes. Last night`s show kicked off with a doozy of a battle between them. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NENE LEAKES, "CELEBRITY APPRENTICE" CONTESTANT: Your issue is with these girls.

STAR JONES, "CELEBRITY APPRENTICE" CONTESTANT: Right.

LEAKES: I said to you - stop trying to be the damn project manager. You`re not the damn project manager.

JONES: No, no, no. NeNe, just one second. I promise you I will not step into that role another time when I am not the project manager.

LEAKES: Trust me. Star feels like the other girls didn`t protect her or have her back. She says that she`s not going to stick her neck out again, but she is.

ANDERSON: Yikes. Hope, you could cut the tension with a knife on that set. What is the story behind NeNe and Star`s war? Because they`ve both been a little bit cagey about it, but you were right there. What happened?

HOPE DWORACZYK, "CELEBRITY APPRENTICE" CONTESTANT: NeNe and Star just didn`t like each other from every, very beginning. So going in, even before we started shooting the show, they did not like each other and it just escalates from here.

ANDERSON: So a general dislike, nothing specific happened to set them off?

DWORACZYK: Before we ever started shooting, there is something with hair and makeup people. They didn`t want to share hair and makeup artists.

ANDERSON: We -

DWORACZYK: So before we even came to the first episode.

ANDERSON: We finally get to the bottom of it. Why does it always happen in the hair and the makeup room? Here we go, Hope. OK.

Well, the tension really seemed to grow on last night`s show. Your friend and fellow contestant, Niki Taylor, who was the project manager in charge of selling RVs, was fired, but not before she and Dionne Warwick got into if about what you were doing, Hope. Let`s watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: So are you saying she`s on your camper, that`s why -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, she should be out here maybe.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Talk to me like - I`m an adult.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That`s what I`m trying to do.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I know, but the way you talk to me and your tone -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m asking you where Hope was.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Come to me and talk to me like normal. Your tone is getting a little too crazy.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (INAUDIBLE).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m getting ready to.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (INAUDIBLE). And Dionne, you can talk to me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: OK. I got your number.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Wow. Even Star Jones got in on the action there, Hope. I`m thinking we should be worried about you. Who scares you more, Star or Dionne?

DWORACZYK: Dionne scares me more. Dionne was - I was so excited to meet Dionne, first of all, because her music in my iTunes library. And I just think she was phenomenal. And then, I met her and she was awful. It was bad.

ANDERSON: Why is that? Yes, it seems like if you take one step in the wrong direction, she will go after you.

DWORACZYK: Dionne was not happy. And NeNe said something like if I was 70 I wouldn`t really want to work either. But she was not happy or easy to work with. And calling Niki Taylor a hussy? Niki Taylor is one of the classiest, sweetest women. So to call her a hussy just really got into my (INAUDIBLE).

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: All of the drama - it is crazy. You didn`t know about it until you saw it, huh?

DWORACZYK: No.

ANDERSON: Well, I`ve got to ask you this, Hope. The last person fired before Niki left last night was Lisa Rinna.

And she made a really outrageous claim on Ryan Seacrest`s radio show after she was fired suggesting that Donald Trump`s boardroom gets really heated because you are all deprived of the basics - food, water or anything to drink. Can you set the record straight for us? Is that true? Is Donald Trump torturing you?

DWORACZYK: We got food and water anytime that we wanted it. But the boardroom is really nerve-wracking. I mean, everybody is yelling at each other. And suddenly, you know, there`s just catfights. And you`ve seen it all. But I don`t think we were really deprived of food and water.

ANDERSON: So why would she say that?

DWORACZYK: I`m not sure. I think it got heated with Lisa Rinna and Star Jones so maybe she was thirsty during the boardroom fight. I don`t know where Lisa Rinna got that, actually.

ANDERSON: Didn`t get that water at exactly the right moment. OK. Well, Hope, I know that you were trying to win the game on behalf of your charity, Best Buddies. We wish you a lot of luck. Good to see you. Thanks so much.

DWORACZYK: Thank you.

HAMMER: All right. Let`s move on now to something completely different. This is Randy Quaid`s bizarre serenade to the star whackers. Yes, I said star whackers.

Randy and his wife fled to Canada late last year. That`s after making wild claims that a group called the Hollywood star whackers murdered Heath Ledger and David Carradine. And Randy and his wife say they were the next on the hit list.

Well, now, on a brand-new video out today, Randy sings about the star whackers with his band, The Fugitives, in Vancouver. Watch this.

(MUSIC)

All right. So I take it Randy still thinks the cheesy star whackers are out to get him.

ANDERSON: Obviously. OK. Tennis pro, Serena Williams. struts her stuff in a super sexy new ad for a videogame.

(MUSIC)

A lot of debate over this today - is Serena`s steamy new ad an ace or a fault? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

This is the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: HBO developing miniseries about former Vice President Dick Cheney. SHOWBIZ first look! "Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides."

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: OK. Did you see this? It`s Serena Williams in a steamy new ad for a videogame. But pay close attention. Watching this ad, you might actually miss the whole videogame part, Brooke.

ANDERSON: Yes, A.J. Serena has definitely game when it comes to tennis. But she`s playing up a whole different side in this ad for Top Spin 4. Watch.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: You know, Brooke, I`ve got to tell you when it comes to marketing, you want sexy. You can`t go wrong with a little slow-mo. You know what I`m saying, a little slow motion? And there you have it right there. It`s sexy all over the place.

ANDERSON: And some sound effects, I guess.

HAMMER: But Brooke, what do you think? Is it too sexy? I don`t think so.

ANDERSON: But what even was that advertising? Really, was there a videogame in there?

HAMMER: It`s pretty good.

ANDERSON: A.J., I just don`t think I`m the target audience and I`ll leave it at that.

HAMMER: Yes. All right.

ANDERSON: OK. Now, the SHOWBIZ royals watch. Here`s your chance to enter to win a trip for two to London where you can cover the excitement of the royal wedding. So send us a video of why you think you should be CNN`s royal wedding iReporter, like this one from Paula Cooper from Mississippi.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PAULA COOPER, IREPORTER: I have taken a fancy to the British you see, and this is why they would love me. I love to travel with my family. I babble and babble as you can see, so your only choice is to pick me!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Nice rhyming, Paula. Good luck. So here`s how to get your shot at this. Head over to "iReport.com/RoyalWedding." Send us your iReport. If it`s picked as the winner, you`re off to London.

HAMMER: Well, on Friday, we asked to you vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. Moments ago, Jay Conroy, stage manager extraordinaire, handed me these final results.

"Charlie Sheen Beats Palin and Obama in a New Presidential Poll: Would you vote for him?" Fifteen percent said, "Sure, why not?" A whopping 85 percent said, "Uh, seriously?"

Here are some of the E-mails we got. This one is from R. in Canada saying he would make a great prime minister, "Charlie Sheen is smart and honest and brave. Most people can`t take his blunt talk, but I, for one, love it. What a breath of fresh air."

Nancy from Oklahoma responds, "If my choice for president comes down to Sheen and Palin, come help me pack my bags. I`m moving to Canada."

Thank you for writing and thank you for watching. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday.

HAMMER: And don`t forget we are still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific here on HLN.
