HAMMER (on-camera): Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.
ANDERSON (on-camera): Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today.
Fame, furry and "The View." Star Jones` stunning revelations to me about her bitter feud with former boss, Barbara Walters. Right now, Star is stealing the spotlight and rattling quite a few nerves on the set of "Celebrity Apprentice," but we can`t forget that Star was one of the original co-hosts of "The View," a job that ended abruptly when she announced live on the air that she was leaving the show after nine years.
Well, now, Star`s throwing new fuel on fire with a brand-new book. Here it is. It`s a dramatic novel about back stabbing and betrayal on the set of, what else, a TV talk show. Sound familiar? But is this new book really about Star`s tumultuous time on "The View"? Watch what she told me.

ANDERSON: OK. The name of the book is "Satan`s Sisters." A novel work of fiction.
JONES: I wanted to put it right out there, Brooke.
ANDERSON: I know. I know. But Star, this is about ladies, five ladies, at a talk show, all the back stabbing, all the competition that goes on.
JONES: I wonder what I was inspired from.
ANDERSON: I wonder. Is this you kind of having the last word with "The View"?
JONES: Oh, absolutely not. Actually, the most fun I did have is actually crafting the characters.
ANDERSON: OK.
JONES: I knew that the first question out of anyone`s mouth would be, girl, is this a veiled reference to "The View"? And I`m not a damn person. That makes (INAUDIBLE). But I really decided to write what I know. I know law, I know television, I know working with women, and I know what happens in a make-up room at a daytime talk show.
ANDERSON: That`s where all the action happens.
JONES: That`s where all the action happens. Really, the similarities are in personality types. There are five women, as you say, and they sort of lead Dorian in charge. She`s a 65-year-old grand diva dame of all things television. So, I, of course, get the similarity.
ANDERSON: The lunch club as the show is called is led by a ruthlessly competent and icily perfect veteran diva of all things television. Are you comparing her to Barbara Walters?
JONES: Maxine Robinson is my diva. It is no match to Max Robertson, the first African-American anchor, ever, ever, ever on television. Maxile will remind you of my former boss. That she should remind you of any strong female boss that really knows where to stick the knife, I think, is the best way to put it because this boss is about her. It always will be about Maxine.
And I did not want people to think that that was my entire experience with Barbara. That is truly not. And the main thing you need to know is I don`t dish any of my girls` real secrets in there. There`s something a little sleazy about doing a tell-all of people that you`ve actually shared so much with. So, I would never do that.
All of the explosive details in "Satan`s Sisters" really exploded from my mind. But, secret, every single character is based on someone I either worked with, worked for, interviewed, was interviewed by or prosecuted.
ANDERSON: There`s the truth, the truth. So, they are based on someone you`ve come across in your life.
JONES: Absolutely.
ANDERSON: Barbara Walters, in her autobiography, wrote that she felt badly about how things ended with you and with your departure from "The View." Do you still talk -- have you talked to her lately? Is there a rift?
JONES: We`ve not spoken in years. However, ironically, within weeks of each other, we were both diagnosed with heart disease, and within weeks of each other, we both had open heart surgery. It was such a strange connection. And, she, of course, wished me well, and I, of course, wished her well. That`s sort of the way real women deal with things. We may not be the best of friends ever, but when it comes down to it, I sat next to her for nine years.
ANDERSON: Would you go on "The View" to promote this book?
JONES: I think you`d have to ask those ladies. That`s their show.
ANDERSON: If they asked you, would you say yes?
JONES: I think my answer deserves to go to them first, not to you.
ANDERSON: OK, OK. Well, congratulations on this book. And I really look forward to reading all of it.
JONES: I think you`re going to have fun.
ANDERSON: I think it`s going to be a fun read as well.

ANDERSON: All right. Well, Star Jones did not budge about whether or not she will do "The View." So, the big question is should she? Star did admit that "Satan`s Sisters" is loosely based on "The View" and Barbara Walters. I think it would be great TV for Star to sit on that "View" coach for them to hash this thing out. In a twisted way, it could be really great publicity for both sides.
But let me bring in "Inside Edition" correspondent, Megan Alexander. Megan, if "The View" invited Star to do the show, should she do it?
MEGAN ALEXANDER, CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": Oh, yes. You name a book, "Satan`s Sisters." It`s just like arriving with a plate of cooking and saying, can I be on the show? What a title. Brooke, please, loosely based. You know this book is completely based on those women.
ANDERSON: Right.
ALEXANDER: And I tell what you, I think they should invite her on because "The View" is a place where women can have a platform. It would sure make for interesting conversation. I would love to see Barbara Walters interview her and actually read excerpts from that book and see what Star says.
ANDERSON: I would love it, too, Megan.
All right. I want to bring in Carey Riley now, editor of Gossipmama.com. Carey, first of all, a big happy birthday to you.
CAREY RILEY, EDITOR, GOSSIP MAMA.COM: Oh, thank you.
ANDERSON: You`re welcome. What do you think? Should Barbara Walters -- you know, we got the cake coming. Should Barbara Walters invite Star to do "The View"?
RILEY: Oh, absolutely. In fact, I wonder if this is why she just crafted the whole book was just to get on "The View" again. Wouldn`t it just be her way? But honestly, I think it`s a little cheap. I think if you want to say something about the people you used to work with, just say it. Do a tell-all interview and just have it on the table and don`t disguise it and hide it in a book and call it Satan and all.
ANDERSON: But Star`s way is not to engage in that sort of thing. Just like on "Celebrity Apprentice," she does not want to trade barbs in public with the other women. She says it`s not her way, Carey.
RILEY: I know she says that, but it`s also called cheap and cowardly. Who said that? Was it me?
ALEXANDER: I didn`t say that.
ANDERSON: Before Star puts "The View" into perspective, she`s got to resolve some big feuds like, I mentioned, on "celebrity apprentice." star is fast becoming the most hated competitor on the show. She`s got feuds with NeNe Leakes, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, feud with actress, Lisa Rinna, but Star tells me don`t hate, appreciate.

JONES: I`ve chosen specifically not to address the very vicious attacks. While the show was going on, I approached it like a competitor. It`s a game. My strategy was 100 percent in your face. Deal, very direct, deal with it.

ANDERSON: I think star is a very strong competitor, and I have a feeling she`s going to go far on "Celebrity Apprentice." If she hasn`t won the show yet, and she may not have been invited to be on "The View" just yet, but, A.J., she will reunite with her former "View" co-host, Joy Behar, for the very first time since leaving the show this Monday on the "Joy Behar Show," 10:00 p.m. eastern here on HLN.
HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. I`m counting on Joy to not hold back at all just because they work together. You know, Joy, I think is going to cut right down to it.
But right now, I got to move on to another explosive reality store, Snooki. Are you ready for Snooki goes to college? All right. She didn`t actually enroll, but the "Jersey Shore" star was paid more than a Nobel prize winning author to speak all about life and hair to students at Rutgers University. In fact, one of her gems was this "Study hard, but party harder". And take a look at this. Snooki got paid a reported $32,000. Beloved author, Toni Morrison has been paid $30,000 for her speaking engagement. Megan, that`s just insane. That`s all I have to say, that one word, insane.
ALEXANDER: It`s completely insane. This is probably the first time she`s ever put on the college campus, A.J. I remember what it was a big deal at my college, Westmont College. Go Westmont. When we wanted a cast member of "The Real World" to come for like $2,000, and the students were protesting. $32,000, first of all, I hope the students had a voice in this.
We hear that the association brought her in, and it`s been mixed in terms of the reaction. I`m just surprised a faculty member didn`t speak up and say that`s a salary, $32,000. That`s a faculty member.
HAMMER: Yes. And that means budget comes from different places, and for the record, Megan, what school did you go to?
ALEXANDER: Westmont College.
HAMMER: You see you`re fist-pumping when you say that.
ALEXANDER: I was.
HAMMER: So, maybe, there`s a reason they brought in Snooki. All right. Megan Alexander, Carey Riley, I thank you both.
ANDERSON: All right. Moving on to this, Miley defends her dad. In an explosive new interview today, Miley Cyrus tells people to lay off Billy Ray.

ANDERSON: The stars of "Grey`s Anatomy" singing in Thursday night`s episode. Critics were not so hot on the musical episode, though, but people did watch. And ratings out late today, the numbers were up 30 percent from last week.

ANDERSON (on-camera): That`s a huge bump. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. A.J. Hammer is in New York.
HAMMER: And Brooke, of course, we are all super psyched for the premiere of the Dr. Drew show this Monday. Dr. Drew Pinsky, of course, you know him from VH-1 "Celebrity Rehab," well, he`s coming to HLN. And I just spoke with Dr. Drew. He revealed what we can expect on his show, and he actually opened up about his battle with depression.

DR. DREW PINSKY, HOST: Well, it`s going to be an entirely different thing here on HLN. I mean, certainly, my sensibilities, you know, the way my head works is going to be coming to bear on the kinds of things we do here. We`re going to be doing something far, far broader on the show. We, really, are going to be talking about the things that matter to every viewer. I`m interested in why people do what they do.
And so, the people at the center of the story of the day that people are interested in, I want to either talk to those people or talk to people who have been through things like that, and maybe talk to some experts who have opinions and maybe some other kinds of interesting and nefarious types that may have opinions about what`s happening on those stories as well and really have interesting conversation and dialogue and try to dissect these things, so people can understand them in a way that you really can`t get anywhere else.
HAMMER: Sunday, the day before your show premieres here on HLN, we`re going to see you speaking with HLN "Moring Express" anchor, Robin Meade, and what I thought was just a terrific and very revealing special, I think. I learned something new about you when you got very personal speaking with Robin about dealing with depression yourself. Let`s take a look at that.

PINSKY: When I was in college, I had major depressive episode. And it manifested with panic attacks and confusion and self-doubt, and I was so mishandled, so improperly treated that it made me want to help other young people with mental health issues and confusion in their life. I think it`s what really motivated me to radio because it was so directed at young people in their lives and changing their lives.

HAMMER: You see, I think hearing all of that makes you all the more relatable but having said all that, Dr. Drew, was there ever any part of you that hesitated to share your own personal issues with depression so publicly?
PINSKY: Not recently. It was not as though Robin need to coerce me or prepare me that she was going to ask those questions, but in years gone by, I always struggled with, well, geez, if you`re going to be the doctor, how much do you represent your own experience if you`re playing -- if you`re adopting that role of doctor? And that`s something that every physician has to decide in every relationship with a patient.
There`s not too much self-reveal that needs to go on or it becomes about the doctor, not about the patient. But the fact is I have been in media for a long time, people kind of know what I`m all about. I thought it was the time to start doing a little more personal self-reveal and I intend to do more that on this show, particularly.

HAMMER: I am really looking forward to the show. You have to check out Dr. Drew when it premieres Monday, April 4th, 9:00 p.m. eastern and pacific on HLN.
ANDERSON: A.J., Dr. Drew just came to the defense of Britney Spears because some people were criticizing her performance on GMA saying that she looked stiff, that she looked robotic, but Drew said, she looks fine to him.
HAMMER: Yes, and Brooke, a lot of calls have been coming in the "Showbiz On-Call" about Britney today. We hear from Bryant in Maryland who sort of worried about her. Listen.

VOICE OF BRYAN, MARYLAND: It just seems like she just so managed, and she has so many people behind her who constantly control every move that she makes. And it just seems like everything is just so rehearse and robotic now. She`s not the same Britney Spears we all kind of fell in love with.

HAMMER (on-camera): Well, Brooke, this is so cool. Here`s what happen. Jason Pitt (ph) went into the girl`s third period class. Now, he did get permission from the teacher. The kid did it right. He even had backup singers, as you see, and he totally caught the girl, Liana Cohen (ph), by surprise. Well, on GMA, Jason revealed how he came up with the idea and he sang the song one more time.

ANDERSON: It certainly has, yes, but that guy, he`s creative. I think he`s got a bright future ahead of him.
All right. A.J., now, we`ve got the showbiz royals watch. Have you been wondering what to call Kate Middleton after she gets married to Prince William later this month? I know I have. Queen? Princess? This is hard, but it is important to get it right. So, fortunately, we`ve got somebody who really knows this stuff. Here`s CNN`s Richard Quest for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

RICHARD QUEST, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): We need to get to grips with royal speak 101. Once William and Kate get married, she will officially become her royal highness. The exact title she`ll take won`t be known until a few days before the wedding. When William becomes king, Kate`s title will change to queen consort. She`s not a queen in her own right because she`s not in the genetic line.
So, she won`t rule if anything happened to her husband. Throughout royal history, there have been many queen consorts. Perhaps, the most famous queen consort in history, Anne Boleyn, who was married to King Henry VIII. She couldn`t produce a male heir to the throne, she was beheaded for adultery. Times have changed at the palace.

HAMMER (on-camera): Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.
ANDERSON (on-camera): And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today. Defending daddy.
HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. Miley Cyrus is now speaking out for the very first time about her recent family crisis, especially the rough patch with her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, that reportedly divided the entire Cyrus clan. Now, back in February, Miley was said to be furious with her dad after he told "GQ" magazine that she was getting out of control and that the show Hannah Montana destroyed their family, a comment he, of course, later took back.
But in a brand new interview with Australia`s "Kyle and Jacki O" radio show, it`s making big headlines today, Miley seemed to understand where her dad was coming from.

CYRUS: The only person that really knows what kind of dad my dad is is his kids, you now? And everyone makes mistakes and just because you`re a dad or because you`re a mom doesn`t mean that you don`t. Life is a vicious cycle. You know, you go through ups and downs for sure, but our family is very happy. Everybody goes through something. At the end of the day, we can always see the light at the end of the tunnel and knew we would get to a point where we`d all be happy again.

HAMMER: With me in New York is Carey Riley, comedian and editor of gossipmama.com, also with me now, "Inside Edition" correspondent, Megan Alexander. I got to tell you, guys. I`m happy to see that Miley and her dad, apparently, have put the whole thing behind them, the whole Miley Cyrus family have been able to walk away from these problems that they`ve endured for the past several months.
Everything we`ve been talking about, reading about. I happen to think that Miley`s forgiving words make her sound grown up in a whole new way. Carey, is that how you`re hearing it as well?
RILEY: Yes, oh, absolutely. But I think she can come across as like an old lady. Like, at one point, she said my dad`s still learning, you know, like she`s so much older than him. She kind of was talking down to him, I thought.
HAMMER: What it sounded like to me, in Miley`s own special way, of course, was that she has come to that point in her life that she realizes her parents are people, too. And I think that`s really hard and a big evolution for a lot of kids naturally and in Hollywood and a Hollywood family, I think, it can be very confusing. So, I don`t know.
I see a very evolved Miley coming through in this particular interview. Billy Ray recently told "The View" that after a rough period, he feels he has finally gotten his Miley back, and I think her words today are really a good sign that the relationship is on the mend. Megan, do you think they can get past all of Billy Ray`s very public rants about, you know, how devastating Hannah Montana was for their family?
ALEXANDER: Oh, sure. I think they can, but I tell you what, I still don`t think it was that bad what he said. And I actually agree with you. I think, A.J., the way she commented in this interview is very reflective of their relationship, and the fact that Billy Ray always wanted to be a friend, and they sound like friends.
HAMMER: Yes.
ALEXANDER: She sounds like she`s talking like her friend, like she`s his friend, and it`s clear that she wears the pants in this family. She`s the bread winner, and she has all the control. She`s 18, yes, she`s evolving, I agree with you on that point, but I just couldn`t see myself talking about my dad that way, but it`s completely different relationship.
HAMMER: But again, I mean, their family is like none of ours, thank goodness, perhaps.
ALEXANDER: Right. Right.
HAMMER: But it`s a whole different thing.
ALEXANDER: It is.
HAMMER: In any event, I`m happy for them because I do like them both particularly, and I`m happy that they`re moving on. All right. I do want to move on to more big news breaking today. This story actually surprised me. Adam Lambert too wild for Lady Gaga? Yes, the former American Idol runner up is making big news today for showing up at Gaga`s birthday party in L.A. And he was so outrageous that he got kicked out by security. Now, Gossip blogger, Perez Hilton, was at that party. He told Carson Daly`s radio show exactly what went done. Listen to this.

VOICE OF PEREZ HILTON, GOSSIP BLOGGER: He showed up really drunk, actually, beyond drunk, like super sloppy, messy, embarrassingly drunk. He started fist pumping to the point where he punched a hole in the ceiling.
After that happened, you would think Adam Lambert would leave out of embarrassment, but he stayed at the party, and Gaga had like these little princess cakes with Disney characters on top. He got one of the toppers and attempted to like put it in her mouth. And we`re like what is going on? (END VIDEO CLIP)

Now, Lambert, as said before, he`s a huge Gaga fan, but Carey, I don`t think this is the way he wants to go about showing it.
RILEY: No. And I think Lady Gaga should have shoved him in the egg that she in to the Grammys in and blocks it. Kept him in there. I just thought it was just a little scary, and I like him, and I don`t think he`s necessarily too over the top. I don`t know what -- I didn`t even know he had issues like this.
HAMMER: I like him, too, and I know he`s edgy and all of that. And the funny thing is he`s not denying it at all. In fact, he`s tweeting about it. Let me read to you what he tweeted. It`s a past tense of Tweet? Yes. "Was trying for celebratory gesture for Gaga`s B pinata style, instead, my fist is all bruised and La Cita has a hole in the ceiling, #sloppy."
Sounds to me like Adam had a wild night. He fist pumped too little too hard, woke up the next day, now, he`s genuinely disappointed in his behavior. I`m hearing words of regret there, Megan. I think he realizes, I kind of screwed that up.
ALEXANDER: To get kicked out of Lady Gaga`s party, he must have been behaving really poorly. That cannot foul (ph) from that. I almost think he should take this as some type of an award, getting kicked out of Lady Gaga`s party. That`s unbelievable.
HAMMER: That`s pretty huge, but I hear remorse there.
RILEY: Well, I can`t believe he owns it. If that was me, I`d be like, oh, I think I had a seizure, I don`t know what happened. I must have been smashed.

RILEY: Oh, I would say Chris Brown. I don`t like what he did with Rihanna and everything, but, oh, my goodness can he dance. He was phenomenal. I mean, he was fantastic.
ANDERSON: He`s very talented. OK.
RILEY: Compared to what Britney just did, you know, with her GMA appearance and everything. I mean, he blew it out of the water.
ANDERSON: He was moving a whole lot more than Britney Spears was moving. I will give him that. OK. It is now time for the moment we`ve been waiting for. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is naming --

Megan, I have to say, personally, I don`t like to call this girl a celebrity. I think a lot of those girls have the mentality that they are celebrities, they are invincible, entitled, but that`s not the reality.

ALEXANDER: This was actually my choice, too. And on a serious note, I think, you know, we see more and more of this being posted on YouTube and on the web.
And Brooke, also, the disturbing possibility that she may be getting money from posting this video, that`s the rumor right now, and that it was staged. I think they`re still looking into that, but come on, that`s just not cool.

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. hammer in New York. OK. So, there`s less than a month left until the royal wedding. And today, we have the very latest on William and Kate`s secret pre-wedding bashes. So, how did Prince William and Kate Middleton spend their last single days?
"People" magazine`s staff writer, Suzanne Zuckerman, joins me now with the inside information. And of course, we have to talk about Prince Williams` bachelor party as they call it a stag party first. Now, the best man is Prince Harry. Suzan, I know Prince Harry is known as a party guy. So, was this like a wild, crazy, nutty, out of control party?
SUZANNE ZUCKERMAN, STAFF WRITER, PEOPLE MAGAZINE: The truth is those details have not emerged, and they are unlikely to emerge. All the prince`s office has said is that the stag party did take place. Of course, it was planned by his supporter and best man, Prince Harry. Also thought to be closely involved was night club owner, Guy Pelley (ph), a childhood friend of the princes who also has been known to enjoy a good party.
HAMMER: You know people are dying to find out exactly what was going down. They want detail, they want scandal, they want tawdry. We`ll never know.
ZUCKERMAN: Well, the truth is, you know, Prince William and Harry were said to be planning a water sports themed weekend for his stag party. And, of course, once that those reports hit the press, they changed their plans.
HAMMER: Right. Of course.
All right. Let`s move to the ladies now, the bachelorette party, as they call it over there a hen party.
ZUCKERMAN: Yes.
HAMMER: Now, the maid of honor, Pippa, Kate`s sister threw this thing. Again, details very hush, hush, but "People" magazine has found out what?
ZUCKERMAN: We had found out that, indeed, Kate`s hen party did take place. It was likely at the country estate of a good childhood friend of Kate`s. And there`s a -- you know, there had been rumors that she was going to have a dirty dancing theme weekend because that is thought to be one of her favorite movies. However, the palace has not confirmed any themes for the party.
HAMMER: It is amazing they`re able to keep this under wraps. Their friends have to be so fiercely loyal to these guys.
ZUCKERMAN: Absolutely. Their friends are fiercely loyal. And when approached by the press, they`d even said, I cannot comment. I hope you understand.
HAMMER: Wow.
ZUCKERMAN: They`ve been very tight in her circle, and they`ll stay that way.
HAMMER: And probably signed all matter of nondisclosure agreements, as well. Suzanne Zuckerman, thank you so much.

CORY MONTEITH, ACTOR: The last thing that I watched that I felt really bad about watching two hours of was the show called "Bad Girls Club." I saw this and I`m like, this is so stupid, but then, I like kept watching it forever and ever.

ANDERSON: We could watch "Mad Men" forever. And you might think that the man who plays the dreamy Don Draper would have a dark guilty TV pleasure but --

I`m endlessly fascinated by this guy, Wayne Carini. He goes all over the country looking for classic cars going to auctions. Although, now that I`m thinking about, in addition to that, I did watch "Gossip Girl" last week.
ANDERSON: Well, you know, that I`m just a tad bit obsessed with "The Bachelor." I did not miss a single minute of the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." But then, also, you know, like you, I love the History Channel. I love Lisa Ling`s "Our America" series. So, a little bit of all of it.
