(MUSIC)

Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer, coming to you from New York City with big news breaking today - Hollywood`s biggest outlaw?

Yes, Sandra Bullock`s ex-husband, Jesse James, isn`t mincing words. Today, in explosive new interviews, Jesse James is reopening old wounds from that headline-making cheating scandal that broke Sandra`s heart, destroyed their marriage and stole her post-Oscar glow.

And now, Jesse James seems to be living up to his infamous outlaw name and breaking the laws of Hollywood. Jesse`s out promoting a new tell-all book, dishing the dirty details of his affair and even how he broke the news to Sandra. But it`s his less-than-apologetic tone that is sparking new outrage today.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) He cheated on America`s sweetheart when an ex-stripper who called herself "Bombshell" and became so hated he actually had wanted pictures calling for his head.

Wait, that was Jesse James the bank robber. But the other Jesse James, ex- husband of Sandra Bullock, was pretty hated, too. And today, he`s telling explosive new details about his side of his sordid Sandra story in a TV interview with ABC.

JAMES: I can`t worry about her anymore.

HAMMER: In a radio interview with Howard Stern -

HOWARD STERN, RADIO HOST: Do you think you just wanted to get caught?

JAMES: I think subconsciously I did.

HAMMER: And in his new book called "American Outlaw." what`s Sandra Bullock saying about the situation? Nothing. Like she always has.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Jesse James is on a major tell-all tour. But maybe, just maybe, he`s telling too much. In an interview that aired today on ABC, James made a sad revelation.

James said he has no contact with Louis, the baby boy he and Sandra were in the process of adopting when they split. Bullock ended up adopting Louis as a single parent.

JAMES: I`ve never seen Louis since everything happened.

HAMMER: James` cheating scandal exploded just days after Bullock won the 2010 Oscar for "The Blindside." And now, in his new book, "American Outlaw," Jesse James reveals in gut-wrenching detail how he broke the news of his affair to Bullock.

In an excerpt released to "People" magazine, he writes, quote, "I admitted the affair. I let her know that I had never loved this woman, that I had never cared for her at all."

"The shame and sadness that washed over me as Sandy began to cry was almost beyond measure. For a moment, I wanted to be dead. I sat frozen in my chair as Sandy`s small body shook with sobs."

JAMES: I decided whatever - I will tell her.

HAMMER: On Stern`s show today, James also revealed that as his cheating scandal exploded into a nationwide tabloid obsession, he was trying to reconcile with Bullock.

JAMES: First time I wanted to reconcile for the sake of the kids.

HAMMER: Obviously, that didn`t happen. And today, Jesse is finally revealing why he thinks Sandra didn`t take him back. Amazingly, it`s not because of his little bombshell indiscretion.

STERN: Do you think she was put in a position by the press and public that she could never even entertain the idea of going back with you?

JAMES: Of course.

STERN: Yes.

HAMMER: That`s right. James told Stern today it was all because Bullock had to protect her image.

JAMES: For her, like, kicking me to the curb, it`s like, "Yes, you go girl. You will never take that dog back."

STERN: Right.

JAMES: And if she takes me back, then -

STERN: Then she look likes an idiot.

JAMES: Yes. She kills her image.

HAMMER: James is now engaged to "L.A. Ink" star, Kat Von D. And no, he`s not expecting history to repeat itself with her.

KOTB: Are you going to be faithful?

JAMES: Yes.

KOTB: Do you think you can?

JAMES: Yes.

HAMMER: And James tells ABC he doesn`t care what his famous ex-wife thinks.

KOTB: Do you think it was hurtful at all to Sandra that you moved on so quickly?

JAMES: I can`t worry about her anymore, you know. I think I`ve spent a good chunk of the last five, six years worrying only about her and what she thinks and what I should do and, like, you know, controlling all my movements and everything else.

And I now - I think it`s time to worry about Jesse and making sure Jesse`s happy.

HAMMER: And despite what some may think of his tell-all tour, Jesse says he`s not interested in rehabbing his image.

JAMES: I didn`t write the book to, like, make myself look better.

HAMMER: And with James spilling private painful details that his famous ex has stayed silent about, maybe that`s a good thing.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

So here`s our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - is Jesse`s brand-new tell-all tour just adding insult to injury?

With right now in New York, TV and radio host, Michael Billy. Also with me in New York, Megan Alexander, who is a correspondent with "Inside Edition."

Look, I`ve got to say, I think Jesse would have done well to just keep his trap shut when it comes to all these intimate details about his split from Sandra Bullock. I`m thinking the more he keeps talking, the deeper he digs himself in.

Now, Megan, I get that he doesn`t particularly care what people think about him. But seriously, isn`t he adding insult to injury here?

MEGAN ALEXANDER, CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": Absolutely. Crime a river. This is the most desperate cry for attention, A.J. If he ever really loved her and cared about her, he should go away and be quiet and let her be.

And I found it very interesting that he said, you know, "I spent too much time thinking about her. I can`t worry about her anymore."

Wait a minute, you did attempt to raise your children together and you still say you want to have these relationships. You`re boo-hoo-hoo-ing that you don`t get to see baby Louis.

HAMMER: Yes.

ALEXANDER: It think it was very un-classy to say. And you know, this guy just needs to move on with his life. We don`t want to hear about it.

HAMMER: But at the end there, we just saw him say, "I didn`t write this book so people will think better of me." I`m thinking he doesn`t need the money, so why the heck would he do it? I mean, doesn`t this add insult to injury, Michael?

MICHAEL BILLY, TV AND RADIO HOST: I don`t think so. Look, what does he do anyway? (INAUDIBLE) on television. He`s a host. He`s an entertainer. He`s got to move on with his life.

The reality is people make mistakes. People cheat, OK? And he`s got to make some money, so he puts out a book. He`s not bad-mouthing Sandra.

HAMMER: He`s not doing it for the money.

(CROSS TALK)

BILLY: He isn`t bad-mouthing Sandra, though.

HAMMER: There`s no way. And who wants to read this, really? I mean, I guess anybody who likes to read about the train wreck -

BILLY: Exactly.

HAMMER: You know, that`s what he`s doing. Well, in his interview with Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show today, Jesse claims the reason Sandra didn`t even take him back had a lot to do with her career. Listen to what he said.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

JAMES: Her, like, kicking me to the curb, it`s like, "Yes, you go girl. You will never take that dog back."

STERN: Right.

JAMES: And then if she takes me back, then -

STERN: Then she looks like an idiot.

JAMES: Yes. She kills her image.

STERN: Right. He had to stand up to you.

JAMES: That`s the nature of the business that she`s in, you know. Like any other couple that it would have happened to, I think they would have worked on their relationship and, like, fixed it.

STERN: Right.

JAMES: Sure, there would be, like, some - you know, I would be in the dog house or living at a hotel. But you know, it was just, like, erased. Hit the delete button and it was gone.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: I think it was a little more complicated than that, Megan. I mean, it sounds to me like he`s taking yet another swipe at Sandra here.

ALEXANDER: I`m offended on behalf of all women. I think Sandra Bullock was classy enough and a savvy enough businesswoman. She`d already achieved an Academy Award, A.J.

I think she dumped him for one reason and one reason only - he cheated. I don`t think it did have a whole lot to do with her career. I think she really loved him. He cheated and she said, "I need to move on. Enough is enough."

HAMMER: Yes. I can also understand the point, oh, well, because people would sort of reject her if she took him back. But I don`t think that`s why she didn`t take him back personally.

MEGAN: And I think she`s right.

HAMMER: Yes. I think that`s exactly right. I think some effort towards reconciliation or at least having some form of relationship did happen there.

But look, let me move on right now to LiLo`s lucky break today. The Los Angeles D.A.`s Office confirmed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT today that Lindsay Lohan`s headline-making necklace case got handed down to L.A.`s city attorney. This is after the charge was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor.

That`s a pretty big deal. Michael, I`m thinking that Lindsay should be thanking her lucky stars right now. I mean, she could actually get away with no jail time whatsoever, maybe just house arrest here.

BILLY: Yes. She`s the luckiest person in the world. May I add, it hasn`t been the best week for criminals hiding out in their mansions.

HAMMER: Yes.

BILLY: Just be careful, Lindsay. Just learn your lesson while you`re away. Everybody`s rooting for you, I feel. Make a comeback. I`m back in her corner.

HAMMER: Yes. I don`t want to diminish or joke about what happened, but can you imagine the Navy SEALs swooping in on Lindsay Lohan`s mansion?

BILLY: What they would find -

HAMMER: Yes. Let`s not even go there. Look, I do hope that Lindsay is appreciating this lucky break because, as far as I`m concerned, and a lot of people, she has a long way to go in terms of getting her life and career back on track.

You know who else thinks that? Stevie Nicks, the legendary Fleetwood Mac singer. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT breaking news today with singer Stevie Nicks.

In a brand-new interview with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, we asked Stevie how she feels about Lindsay Lohan possibly portraying her in a movie about her life. Watch what she told us.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

STEVIE NICKS, SINGER: That`s never going to happen, unless she completely cleans up her life and becomes the great actress that I actually feel she can be.

You know, it`s not that I don`t like Lindsay Lohan. Everybody thinks I hate her and it`s not that at all. I just want her to get it together.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I have always admired Stevie Nicks, Megan. I think she was dead on there.

ALEXANDER: Yes. Is this the wise woman talking? Of course, Lindsay needs to pay attention and actually take the advice. But I think it`s neat when other celebrities look to the younger generation and say, "Hey, learn from our mistakes. Get it together."

HAMMER: Yes. Stevie is very open and candid about the mistakes she made and the fact that she was able to get past them and is a survivor. All right. Michael Billy, Megan Alexander, thank you both so much.

Now, over to you for our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. Here`s what we want to know - "Jesse James` New Tell-All Tour: Is it OK for Sandra Bullock`s ex to keep talking about their split?" Yes, it`s a free country. No, he`s adding insult to injury.

HAMMER: Tonight, a headline-making SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsmaker interview with Jennifer Lopez.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

J. LOPEZ: It`s the first time they`re seeing me without a script, playing a character in a movie or, you know, performing on stage and doing that thing.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHN KRASINSKI, ACTOR: Stuff that I really remembered thinking about is how long people had been over there, how long our armed forces have been over there fighting for us. And a big event like this makes you think that maybe it`s all over and you`ve got to remember they`ve been in this.

And this one moment for them is one moment and it`s a big one. But they`ve been doing it for a long time and we owe them a whole, whole debt of gratitude.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

And tonight, brand-new Jackson revelations. Katherine Jackson tells all to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about life after the death of her son, Michael Jackson.

In this extraordinary one-on-one interview, Katherine talks about her sorrow, the trial of Michael`s doctor, Conrad Murray, and the legacy of his three children. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT breaks news with this emotional and poignant interview.

CNN Wire entertainment writer, Alan Duke, who interviewed Katherine Jackson, joins me tonight from Hollywood.

All right, Alan. In addition to the grief that she feels after losing Michael Jackson, she also has to deal with the wrongful death trial looming in September against Michael`s doctor, Conrad Murray.

I have to imagine, there will be a lot of painful facts and evidence presented at that the trial that could really make it very difficult for Katherine. What did she tell you about how she plans to handle it all?

ALAN DUKE, ENTERTAINMENT WRITER, CNN WIRE: Well, Katherine is not looking forward to sitting there, but she`ll be there every day she can. She sat listening to the testimony.

But if it gets too gruesome, for example, those autopsy photos, two of them, the prosecutors say, that they want to present. Katherine says she will just leave the room, go someplace and wait and return when that`s done.

Very painful for her. In fact, every day is painful for Katherine as she thinks about the loss of her son, Michael Jackson.

HAMMER: Yes. I think she must be looking forward to it all being over and done with so she can sort of move on and get some closure one way or the other. She was very open with you about how much she misses Michael. Let`s take a look what she said about that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KATHERINE JACKSON, MICHAEL JACKSON`S MOTHER: There`s not a day that passes that I don`t think about my child, and he should be here right now. But there was negligence of the doctor. And it`s just hard. It`s really hard.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Now, Alan, you say that she`s moved from their home, the one where she raised Michael, because the memories there were just so sad.

Overall, how is Katherine coping with the loss of her son now that we`re almost two years after his death?

DUKE: Well, there is constant sadness and there is bitterness, too, somewhat. One way she coped - she moved from the Hayvenhurst house in Encino, the one where Michael lived from the time he was 11 well into his 20s.

She said there were sad memories there and she didn`t want to relive those every day. She`s at a beautiful mansion on a hilltop above Calabasas.

I wandered throughout the whole ground floor of this large house. And I can tell you I only saw one image, one very small image of Michael Jackson on the entire floor. She says seeing his picture also brings back sad memories.

HAMMER: Wow. It`s hard to imagine what she is dealing with, with all of the reminders around her so constantly. Alan Duke, always good to see you. Thanks so much.

Well, there is a big debate on our Facebook wall today. Now, I asked would a movie about the hunt for Osama Bin Laden be a blockbuster because, well, you know, we already know the ending. Bin Laden ends up dead, obviously.

Matt K. thinks a Bin Laden movie would be a huge hit, "We already knew the ending of `Titanic` and it was a huge hit. Just saying."

Now, Elizabeth H. doesn`t like the idea, "I think it`s tasteless and asking for trouble. While I believe that the men who risked their lives to kill Osama are heroes, let`s find a different way to honor them."

Connect with me. Join our debates on Facebook. We are "ShowbizTonightHLN" there. Follow @showbiztonight on Twitter for breaking entertainment news alerts.

And of course, you can always call me at "Showbiz on Call" - 1-888-SBT- BUZZ. There`s always E-mail, too - showbiztonight@cnn.com.

(MUSIC)

Wow. Watch out, Biebs. This kid is causing some serious thunder down under. He`s even got the mop top.

Katy Perry`s brand-new revelations today about her marriage to Russell Brand. Katy tackling those wild reports that they`re in trouble. That`s next.

And wait until you what Rob Lowe has to say about his infamous sex tape. Would Rob be an even bigger star than he is now if the tape had gotten out today instead of 20 years ago?

Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

Well, I asked our Facebook fans to post questions for Jennifer. I passed some of your questions on to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter and here is what she found out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: We have a couple questions from all your fans out there. These questions are from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook fans.

And so Lynn Marie(ph) asks, are you going to collaborate on a song with Mr. Steven Tyler?

J. LOPEZ: You know, we`ve been talking about doing something. You know, it`s about finding the right thing, even if it`s just a performance for one moment.

You know, it has to be the right thing for both of us and it has to feel right. It has to be organic. You can`t force things like that so -

WYNTER: Seems so natural. You know, you sit right next to him. Just whip something out.

J. LOPEZ: I know. Yes, just like that. Yes. It`s not that easy.

WYNTER: I know. I know. I`m teasing, Jennifer. And Russell is curious to know, which job is harder, being a parent or being a judge on "American Idol"?

J. LOPEZ: Being a parent, for sure. But typical - like we said before, you know, it`s the hardest job with the world but the most rewarding, and the one you love the most. Yes, being a parent. Being a judge on "American Idol," it`s slightly easier.

WYNTER: A little -

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I just want to hear J-Lo sing "Love in an Elevator." Well, in just moments, Kareen`s SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview with Jennifer Lopez. J- Lo reveals how "Idol" has changed her image. That is coming up.

But now, Katy Perry`s brand-new revelations about her marriage and her breasts. Katy is married to comedian and actor, Russell Brand. And there have been some wild reports recently that they`re having some trouble.

"I don`t care what people say about my relationship, I don`t care what they say about my boobs. People are buying my songs. I have a sold-out tour. I`m getting incredible feedback from my music."

You can read more in the June issue of "Vanity Fair" which hits newsstands everywhere on May 10th.

Time now for the SHOWBIZ lineup - this is what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Shania`s singing shocker.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHANIA TWAIN, SINGER: Stage fright, domestic violence in my home as a child, my parents dying, wondering what`s next. All of these different stages of fear in my life. I just trapped my own voice.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

And Rob Lowe`s blockbuster revelations today about his infamous sex tape. What would have happened to Rob if his sex tape had gotten out today instead of 20 years ago?

A SHOWBIZ TONIGHT worldwide exclusive. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon reveal the names of their twins.

Plus breaking today from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - Marie Osmond marries an old flame and Cameron Diaz pans marriage.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City with big news breaking today - Shania Twain`s singing shocker.

The country music superstar is breaking a three-year silence today about her former husband`s alleged betrayal. Now, Shania says he left her for one of her closest friends in the world.

And today, she`s confessing brand-new details about how that messy trauma stole her golden voice and why she ended up marrying the other victim in this bizarre alleged infidelity.

And I`ve got to tell but the other big news breaking today about Rob Lowe`s own shocking revelation. He says he was the trailblazer in this celebrity sex tape revolution.

Remember, this 20 years ago? Rob Lowe nearly lost his career after a sex tape surfaced of him with two women. You know, today, you`ve got stars like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian launching major careers out of similar scandals.

That leads us to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, would Rob Lowe be an even bigger star if his infamous sex tape had been released now instead of 20 years ago?

Joining me tonight, in New York, TV and radio host, Michael Billy and "Inside Edition`s" Megan Alexander.

I can tell you that Rob Lowe has no doubt that he`d even be more famous if the sex tape that nearly derailed his career had been released today. Watch when he told CNN`s Piers Morgan about that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ROB LOWE, ACTRESS: I would take the sex tape off the list because it led me to get sober, which changed my life. So -

PIERS MORGAN, HOST, "PIERS MORGAN TONIGHT": Yes. Yes. I`ll give you one of the best things that ever happened to you.

LOWE: It was the best thing that ever happened to me.

MORGAN: Snapped you out of hedonism and you went right. OK. My life can go one of two ways.

LOWE: It`s a good thing it happened then instead of now, because now, I`d actually be more famous. I`d have more money and I would be even a bigger star.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. Megan, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, would Rob Lowe be an even bigger star if that tape was out today? And he`s a huge star as it is.

ALEXANDER: Right. No, I don`t think so, because the folks right now that put out sex tapes are really known for nothing and that`s sort of become the thing they`re known for.

I mean, this was a guy that was part of the brat pack, A.J., had had a good career and he was shunned when that tape came out. I mean, that ruined him.

HAMMER: Yes.

ALEXANDER: And I think he`s really speaking some wise words here and saying, look, "I`m a family man now. I realized I was an alcoholic. I had to hit rock bottom to turn my life around."

And so he`s saying it sort of tongue-in-cheek, if you will. But no, I think it`s a good thing it was part of his past and not now, because he`s just on a totally different level than the celebrities.

HAMMER: Absolutely. And he`s one of those stars that has such clear perspective and has come such a long way from what he admits was such a low point.

And I know that sex tape was just a nightmare for Rob Lowe when it came out. It did almost end his career and cause all kinds of problems. But he really seems to have it all in perspective, as I said, now.

So, Michael, what do you think? To our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, I mean, really, would he just be a star of different proportions if it were to come out now?

BILLY: Of different proportions. He`d be a huge star.

HAMMER: Yes. That`s probably the wrong word to use, I guess. Sorry.

BILLY: I don`t know, A.J. I will say, look, as a recovering alcoholic, you need to go deep down and dark in order to make some big changes, so good for Rob Lowe on that.

HAMMER: Yes.

BILLY: And if it did come out on tape, it would be the only one would I watch now other than the Paris Hilton and the Kim Kardashian one. His is going to be the best.

HAMMER: Look, I don`t know if he was back then, but now, I always say that he`s one of the nicest guys in the business - truly, truly a gentleman.

BILLY: Absolutely.

HAMMER: And I`m glad he`s where he is. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT also has brand-new stunning Rob Lowe 9/11 revelations. When he was telling CNN`s Piers Morgan what Bin Laden`s death meant to him, Lowe revealed he was unknowingly aboard a dry-run flight with the September 11 terrorists. You`ve got to watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LOWE: I got on that flight. It was packed. It was a small cabin. There was nothing that stood out. This was before the days we even cared about those things. I took a long nap all night and forgot about it in its entirety.

9/11 happened. A year later, I think, I go to the mailbox. I get an envelope from the attorneys general.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. On September 11th, it was that same flight that crashed into the Pentagon. Megan, that`s just unbelievable to me.

ALEXANDER: It is. It reminds you how fragile life is to hear somebody like Rob Lowe share that he was right there. And then, there were other passengers, too, A.J.

We were all Americans. And you know, him sharing that, I think, unites us and makes us remember. Look, your fellow man, be good to him, because you never know when your time is up.

HAMMER: Yes. What a stunning, stunning thing. All right. I have to move on right now to the other big celebrity confession today.

Shania finds love after heartache. Three years ago, Shania Twain`s record producer husband, Mutt Lange, allegedly left her for one of her closest friends.

And now, Shania is married to that woman`s ex-husband, the other victim in this alleged infidelity. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reveals what Twain tells the world about how all that happened. Here`s what Shania just revealed to Oprah.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TWAIN: I had a fairly distant friendship with Fred before the betrayal because it was Marie-Ann and I. And Fred was her husband and it was just a very formal relationship. We never had a one-on-one relationship, so I really didn`t know Fred very well.

OPRAH WINFREY, HOST, "THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW": Yes. But then you all got together and started talking about what happened.

TWAIN: That`s after we both, you know, (INAUDIBLE) the quest together. We kind of - you know, we just sort of grabbed each other midair and it broke the fall on the other side.

HAMMER: Bottom line, I am very happy for Shania that she has found love with her husband, Fred. But Michael, isn`t it a little bizarre that she wound up essentially swapping partners like this?

BILLY: Not really. I mean, you see a lot of this. It happens when the spouse dies and funerals. Sometimes, with misery - becomes coupling, two people who share the same trauma, so they are together.

I mean, as long as they`re happy and they understand each other, someone not involved in the press, not involved in the business - bless them. Good for them. I hope they`re very, very happy.

HAMMER: I`ve been writing this down because it`s very confusing to me to keep track of the players and how this all worked out.

But until now, Megan, she has been very, very quiet about how she ended up remarrying her former best friend`s ex-husband. Does Shania`s explanation kind of clear things up in your mind?

ALEXANDER: I think it does and I think there`s something so genuine about her. Maybe it`s because she`s a country music singer and that`s the music of the people. And she needed to work through it.

And it`s interesting to hear her talk about grief, how she dealt with it. I mean, my heart goes out to her. Her best friend and her husband got together.

Like you mention, we never know who we were going to end up going to for support and I think it neat that she`s found love.

HAMMER: Right. Star or no star, what a thing to have to endure. But man, as a country music singer, does she have some great material as she continues to heal.

The breakdown of her marriage was so painful. This is amazing. Shania lost one of the most precious things in her life, her voice. Now, this is the woman who has the bestselling country album of all time.

So imagine losing the voice. Listen to what she revealed to Oprah about that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TWAIN: My fears and anxieties throughout my whole life had been slowly squeezing my voice. I was losing it slowly and progressively. What happened is when my marriage fell apart, that particular crisis was almost the straw that broke the camel`s back of something that had already been building.

WINFREY: Yes.

TWAIN: It was the turning point. It was the little bit of extra weight that I could not handle. And so it broke it all open and so was very necessary.

WINFREY: Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: She is just climbing that ladder again. She hasn`t been on stage now in five years. She`s got a big new series about how she regained her voice on Oprah`s OWN Network. That starts next week.

I think Shania is so incredibly talented. Michael, it almost seems to me like this has to be so cathartic for her. And putting this out there right now is really all part of her big start.

I mean, it`s promotional as well but it is - you know, it is a healing event for her.

BILLY: I don`t know. I`ve got to be honest. I`m not a huge fan.

HAMMER: What?

BILLY: If she never put out another album, I wouldn`t be that upset. If she`s recreating herself, maybe becoming an author and taking Reba`s advice and getting a bad sitcom somewhere, maybe that`s the right thing for her to do.

But as long as she`s moving on and doing something creative, I`m all about it.

HAMMER: And I appreciate the fact that you`re not a big fan. Tens of millions of fans cannot be wrong.

BILLY: I know.

ALEXANDER: I`m in the front row when she goes on tour again. I love her.

HAMMER: So don`t you think is a great part of the healing process for her, though, Megan?

ALEXANDER: Absolutely.

HAMMER: And it has a lot to do with her dealing with the drama that she went through?

ALEXANDER: Absolutely. And she took her time coming out. I mean, she`s really working through it. They say music is therapy, which is exactly what she does. So I`m ready. I`m in the front row.

HAMMER: All right. Michael Billy, Megan Alexander, thank you both. Moving on now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT breaks news with Jennifer Lopez, the "American Idol" judge opening up about "X Factor."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WYNTER: There`s a new show debuting in the fall, "X Factor." I`m sure you`ve heard of that.

J. LOPEZ: Yes, I have.

(CROSS TALK)

WYNTER: What do you think about that?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Does J-Lo think "American Idol "can handle Simon Cowell`s new show? It`s a not-to-be-missed SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview, next.

Brand-new fever but not for Justin Bieber. You`ve got hear the kid that could give the Biebs a run for his money.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Wow. He`s 14 years old. Everyone`s calling him Australia`s Justin Bieber.

And we`ve got some ab-stastic news. Another "Jersey Shore" Spin-off. It`s pandemonium, I tell you. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Kelly Preston to play John Travolta`s wife in upcoming Gotti movie. Ginnifer Goodwin reacts to news of Osama Bin Laden`s death.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GINNIFER GOODWIN, ACTRESS: I had just landed in New York and I stayed up all night watching the news. It certainly allows for closure in a really important way.

It`s a strange thing to me to need to root for death in any situation. But I certainly recognize that it was something that needed to happen in order for us to all move forward.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT world exclusive. Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon reveal the names of their brand-new twins.

Mariah gave birth to a girl and a boy on Saturday. Ad SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can now tell you that Mariah and Nick named their son Moroccan Scott Cannon and their daughter Monroe Cannon. Now, Scott is Nick`s middle name and the maiden name of his grandmother.

Their son`s first name, Moroccan, is actually inspired by the room in Mariah`s New York City apartment where Nick proposed to her. Monroe comes from Mariah`s idol, Marilyn Monroe.

Another singing superstar that knows a lot about balancing twin babies and a busy music career is Jennifer Lopez. And today, in a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview, J-Lo is getting real.

Jennifer just released her seventh studio album. But it`s her new gig on "American Idol" that has got everybody looking at Lopez with fresh eyes these days.

And today, J-Lo is opening up to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter about everything, from being a mom to how "American Idol" has changed the way people see her for good.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(MUSIC)

WYNTER: This is pretty exciting stuff.

J. LOPEZ: And I`m so excited about it. We`re interviewing.

(LAUGHTER)

WYNTER: it`s hard to believe - your first album in four years.

J. LOPEZ: Is it four years?

WYNTER: Yes.

J. LOPEZ: It feels long.

(MUSIC)

WYNTER: I know artists hate that word "comeback," but you`re everywhere these days. People can`t seem to get enough of Jennifer. Do you feel like this is, in essence, your comeback?

J. LOPEZ: I don`t think of it that way because I never really felt like I stopped. When I got pregnant and had the babies, yes, you know, you slow down for a while. I felt more like I was on maternity leave for a little while.

WYNTER: That`s clearly put.

J. LOPEZ: I`m on mommy leave.

WYNTER: We`re seeing this warmer side of Jennifer. How has "Idol" changed your image?

J. LOPEZ: It`s funny - I think it let the people in on the person that I am and I always thought they knew me to be. But I guess they really didn`t because this is the first time they`re seeing me without a script playing a character in a movie, performing on stage and doing that thing.

I see that people are now recognizing me for who I really am as a person, and that`s nice. I didn`t expect that when I took the "Idol" job.

WYNTER: Will you be back for another season?

J. LOPEZ: I mean, we`ll see. I don`t know. You know, the great thing about this moment for me is that there`s so many, you know, possibilities and I`m open to all of them.

WYNTER: And will we see the twins make a debut? The end of the season, bring them on set?

J. LOPEZ: Gosh, no.

WYNTER: Have them judge.

J. LOPEZ: Yes, judge. Actually, I brought them to one of the rehearsals one day. They were just there with me and Marc. And -

WYNTER: How did they handle that?

J. LOPEZ: Oh, Max tried to take the microphone right away. He`s like, "Put it on. Hello, hello."

WYNTER: He`s a natural.

J. LOPEZ: Yes.

WYNTER: You know, Mariah Carey - she just gave birth to twins.

J. LOPEZ: Yes. Yes.

WYNTER: And if anyone can offer advice -

J. LOPEZ: Well, I don`t want to offer advice but I know she`s in heaven right now. And God bless, you know, their whole family. It`s a magical, magical thing. Congratulations, guys. It`s really beautiful.

WYNTER: You also made "People" magazine`s most beautiful people. And you`re so sick of talking about that. When you look in the mirror, what are some insecurities Jennifer has?

J. LOPEZ: Oh, gosh. I mean, like, you know, sometimes I`m just - I`m like, what am I going to do with myself today? I have to be in front of tons of people. I have to do all this stuff, just not feeling 100 percent, feeling like you just doesn`t look good and look tired. You know, I have those days. Absolutely.

WYNTER: There`s a new show debuting in the fall, "X Factor." I`m sure you`ve heard of it.

J. LOPEZ: Yes, I have.

WYNTER: You have. And Simon is attached to it.

J. LOPEZ: Yes, he is.

WYNTER: What do you think about that? You know, "Idol" really reigns. Do you have any kind of apprehension that, you know, you could be dethroned?

J. LOPEZ: I think there`s room for all different kinds of shows on the air. You know, people love singing. They love dancing. They love being entertained.

You know, I just don`t see why everything can`t kind of coexist and everybody be happy. That`s how I hope it to be.

(MUSIC)

Jack Vidgen, who is being dubbed Australia`s Justin Bieber, just sparked his own Bieber fever after he wowed the crowd on "Australia`s Got Talent."

He stunned the judges with his incredible rendition of Whitney Houston`s "I Have Nothing." Watch more of this.

(MUSIC)

That`s pretty amazing. Like Bieber was, Jack is being supported by a single mom and he`s fast becoming a YouTube sensation. So good luck to you, Jack.

And now, SHOWBIZ breaks news about life at "The Office" without Steve Carell. It`s only been a few days now since Steve and his character, Michael Scott, said good-bye to Dunder Mifflin his loyal employee, Jim, played by John Krasinski.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHN KRASINSKI, ACTOR: Why don`t we just save it for tomorrow at lunch?

STEVE CARELL, ACTOR: Oh, OK.

KRASINSKI: And then tomorrow I can tell you what a great boss you turned out to be, the best boss I ever had.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT caught up with John at the Hollywood premiere of his new movie, "Something Borrowed." And he broke news about what life`s been like after Steve Carell left "The Office."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KRASINSKI: He gave us everything. You know what I mean? That`s just to show you he did so much for our show. And that show`s done so much for me. So for a lot of us, I think, it was the first time we checked in about how much the show means to us and how long we`ve been doing it and how proud we are of it.

And you know - but now that he`s gone, we`ve kind of found a really cool stride and we`re doing - yes, it`s definitely a different kind of show. But it`s the same characters and the same tone.

And we`re getting back to basics a little more about, you know, interoffice relationships and things like that and it`s been really, really fun. I am so psyched about what`s coming next season.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. It will still be a great show but he will be missed. Well, the new boss at the office, for now, anyway, is Will Ferrell, just three episodes left in this season.

So on Tuesday, we asked to you vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. Moments ago, I was handed the final results. "Osama Bin Laden Killed: Will the Hollywood movie be a blockbuster?"

I was actually surprised by this - 38 percent of you said yes, this story is made for the big screen. But 62 percent of you said, no, we already know how the story ends. If it`s a good movie, it can still be terrific.

That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. We thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is now seen exclusively Monday through Friday at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific right here on HLN.
