CARLOS DIAZ, GUEST HOST: Big news breaking tonight on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - the threat to kill Casey Anthony. Her parents, her lawyers, even the jurors who acquitted her. Tonight, will taxpayers have to pay to keep Casey safe?
Casey Anthony cashing in. Is she really about to get $1 million for a TV interview, even a reality show? Our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, would that just be crazy?
Halle Berry`s brand-new stalker scare. Why Halle just called 911 twice.
Inside the mind of Jaycee Dugard. Jaycee Dugard`s very first TV interview about being kidnapped and raped for 18 years.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JAYCEE DUGARD, KIDNAPPING VICTIM: You can`t imagine being kidnapped and raped, you know. So it just - you just do what you have to do to survive.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: Tonight, how can Jaycee finally get past this? TV`s most provocative entertainment news show breaks news right now.
(MUSIC)
DIAZ: Hello, I`m Carlos Diaz, in for A.J. Hammer with big breaking news tonight - is there really a plot to kill Casey Anthony?
That was the startling claim being made today by Casey`s own attorney. Not only that, he says he`s also a target and so are Casey`s parents, as well as the jurors who acquitted Casey on charges of killing her two-year-old daughter, Caylee.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that Casey is set to get out of jail on Sunday, but is she really in danger? Will she really have to go into hiding and disappear? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the threat to Casey.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over) Casey Anthony may be just days away from getting out of jail but her problems are far from over.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you concerned about her safety?
CHENEY MASON, CASEY ANTHONY`S DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Yes, we`re all concerned about her safety and her future.
DIAZ: This morning on the "Today" show, Casey Anthony`s defense lawyer, Cheney Mason, revealed he`s worried about Casey`s safety once she gets out of jail on Sunday.
NINA PARKER, PRODUCER, TMZ: She has been getting desperate. We`re told at least one of these threats have been turned over to law enforcement.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Not guilty -
DIAZ: There`s no question that a week after Casey was acquitted of killing her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, emotions are still raw.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I believe all these people right here will kill Casey if they had a chance.
DIAZ: Turn on the TV and you`ll see the news channels that devoted countless hours to Casey Anthony`s trial are now devoting almost the same amount of time to the question of Casey`s safety.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That (EXPLETIVE DELETED) needs to die in the most painful (EXPLETIVE DELETED) horrible slow death ever.
DIAZ: A new "USA Today" Gallup poll shows that the vast majority, two- thirds of Americans, think Casey definitely or probably killed her daughter. A new "I Hate Casey Anthony" Facebook page has more than 35,000 fans, some of whom openly call for violence against Casey.
One writes, Casey, quote, "should be put in the middle of a field with mothers standing ready to beat her with bats and clubs."
Another says, quote, "Watch that little (EXPLETIVE DELETED) get such a beat down in prison that she dies before even leaving. That would be justice."
PARKER: The fact that she was, you know, found not guilty shocked so many people. And you know, honestly a lot of people are responding in a really aggressive way.
DIAZ: It all means that if jail is an unpleasant environment for Casey, that`s nothing compared to what she`ll likely face when she walks out of it.
BARBARA WALTERS, ABC CORRESPONDENT: Are you worried about her safety? There`s such antagonism toward her.
JOSE BAEZ, CASEY ANTHONY`S DEFENSE ATTORNEY: I am.
DIAZ: Just hours after Anthony was acquitted, her attorney, Jose Baez, was on ABC expressing concerns about Casey`s safety.
WALTERS: Will she have bodyguards?
BAEZ: You know, we`re in the process of trying to take that next step for her and assist her in that regard, so I don`t know yet.
DIAZ: Even the guy who was trying to have Casey potentially executed for capital murder told CNN`s John King he`s also worried about Casey`s safety.
JEFF ASHTON, PROSECUTOR: When she`s on the street, I simply hope that people will just leave her alone.
DIAZ: And tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, today, it`s not just Casey Anthony feeling threatened by the anti-Casey backlash -
KERRY SANDERS, NBC CORRESPONDENT: Juror number 12 has gone into hiding.
DIAZ: This morning on the "Today" show, NBC reported that an unidentified juror is so frightened by the anger at the Casey Anthony verdict, she`s left her home.
SANDERS: Her husband tells NBC News, because of the backlash, she picked up the phone, called her boss, retired, packed a bag and left the state. Her husband says that as she was living, she said she`d rather spend time in jail than ever serve on a jury again.
DIAZ: Plus, Anthony family attorney tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Casey`s parents, George and Cindy, have received 16 death threats via E-mail, telephone and fax. It seems like almost everyone involved in this messy and tragic case is having to deal with hostility and threats of some sort.
PARKER: Some of them are frivolous, but apparently, some are serious enough to where the police had to be notified.
CASEY ANTHONY, ACQUITTED OF MURDERING HER TWO-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER, CAYLEE ANTHONY: I really wish that none of this would have ever happened.
DIAZ: Ironically, even as Casey was locked up awaiting trial, she complained about the infamy the case was generating outside the jailhouse walls.
CASEY ANTHONY: In some ways, I almost feel more protected here than if I were on the outside.
DIAZ: But now, with Casey about to lose the protection of jail and a relationship with her family apparently damaged, it looks like Casey Anthony`s next trial will be surviving on the outside on her own.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
So with the countdown clock ticking to Casey Anthony`s release in just six days, the big question tonight is this - with all these death threats, how will Casey Anthony live in a world where, frankly, she`s just not safe?
With me tonight is Natisha Lance, who is a producer for HLN`s "NANCY GRACE SHOW." Natisha covered the Casey Anthony trial from day one. And right now, in New York, Sunny Hostin, who is a legal contributor for "In Session" on Tru TV.
All right. All eyes are still on Casey. And you can believe the cops in Orlando are doing some serious planning and preparing to get Casey out of that jailhouse on Sunday. Sunny, if you think she`s going to walk down those front steps, you got another thing coming, don`t you?
SUNNY HOSTIN, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION": Absolutely. I mean, it`s just - it`s going to be an impossible life for her. Again, remember, she`s infamous, not only in this country, but worldwide.
And so while she`s going to have to go somewhere and do something with her life, I can`t imagine what she`s going to do and how she`s going to live her life.
Everyone said she got away with murder. She got out of jail. But you know what? She`s going to be in an informal prison for the rest of her life. I don`t think anyone will ever forget Casey Anthony.
DIAZ: Yes, and you can see it by the outrage around the country today. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that Casey Anthony will not be staying in Orlando when she is released.
One of Casey`s defense attorneys, Cheney Mason, who revealed the death threats against Casey, told NBC`s "Today" show this morning they have no idea where she will go, but they are worried about her safety. Check this out.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Where can she go?
MASON: Well, I don`t know. And it I did, I wouldn`t tell you. She`s going to obviously be safe.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you concerned about her safety?
MASON: Yes. We`re all concerned about her safety and her future, but one thing at a time.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: Natisha Lance, you`ve seen firsthand how angry the crowds were who gathered around the courthouse there in Orlando. How do you think they`ll get Casey out of there safely?
NATISHA LANCE, PRODUCER, "NANCY GRACE SHOW": Well, no question they`re going to have to have to up their security. I think the Orange County Sheriff`s Office, as well as the jail - they might use decoys.
They might have her released in the middle of the night so that not as many people are aware of it. But they`re definitely going to have to be cautious and very careful with how this release is made because people are completely enraged by this, not only from the courthouse but also still in front of the Anthony` house and at the remains sight where Caylee was ultimately found.
And Orlando - it`s a good thing that she`s probably leaving Orlando, too.
DIAZ: I agree with you. I think that this is going to be a middle of the night kind of release. We`re going to wake up on Sunday morning and she`s going to be gone. Listen to the facts - Casey can`t go home. She`s got all the death threats there.
She`s one of the most recognizable people in the country. Sunny, when Casey Anthony is released Sunday, do you think she should just get on a plane, get out of the country? I think it`s going to be hard for her to build any kind of life here in the U.S.
HOSTIN: I don`t even know if it`s possible for her to build a life outside the U.S., because we know other outlets all over the world have been covering this story. So I`m just not sure, Carlos.
I don`t know where she goes. I mean, her attorneys have talked about perhaps getting her some plastic surgery so she just can`t be identified, but we`re talking about a pretty young girl, right?
She`s 25. She`s got a year of probation. Typically, you`ve got to serve probation in the state. Obviously, she`s probably gotten permission to leave the State of Florida. That makes a lot of sense, but I don`t know where she goes, which is why I think she`s going to put herself out there. She`s going to try to explain herself because she`s got to live her life.
DIAZ: Yes. You know, and I don`t always want to sound morbid, but, you know - I mean, as you say, everybody knows her. You`re talking about plastic surgery. You`re near a scalpel. You`re near a knife. You`re near anesthetic.
I mean, things do go wrong there. Now, some people say that Casey should go into some kind of special protection program. But Natisha, I have to imagine people might become even more enraged if taxpayer dollars are spent to protect Casey when she`s free.
LANCE: Yes, I don`t see that as a possibility here, especially when the county is possibly saying that they`re going to charge her for the money that was spent for the investigation to help find Caylee to the tune of somewhere about $500,000, especially where the defense was saying she knew where Caylee was all along and she wasn`t missing at all.
So I don`t suspect that the county is going to be helping Casey Anthony with any type of protection. If there is protection, that will probably be on the hands of her defense.
DIAZ: Sunny, Natisha, great points. Thank you, guys, so much. All right. Coming up, Casey cashing in? Kato Kaelin talks to us about Casey Anthony making money off of her acquittal. Kato cashed in after he testified at the O.J. Simpson murder trial.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KATO KAELIN, RADIO AND TELEVISION PERSONALITY WHO TESTIFIED AT THE O.J. SIMPSON TRIAL: I got a radio show in Los Angeles. That show was called "An Eye for an Eye." (INAUDIBLE). No nudity, please. I became a household name.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: Plus, just revealed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, the explosive new details behind the $1 million offer reportedly made to Casey Anthony for her very first interview.
And Halle Berry`s brand-new stalker scare. Why Halle just called 911, not once, but twice.
Inside the mind of Jaycee Dugard. Jaycee Dugard`s first TV interview about being kidnapped and raped for 18 years.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DUGARD: And he would shut the studio or the soundproof door and then the other door with the lock.
DIANE SAWYER, ABC CORRESPONDENT: You heard that?
DUGARD: Yes. I can still hear it consciously or when I`m awake.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: It`s an unreal interview. Tonight, how can Jaycee finally get past this? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: Rascal Flatts releases song about Caylee Anthony: "She`s Going Places." Rupert Grint talks to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about the last "Harry Potter" movie.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
RUPERT GRINT, ACTOR: We finished a year ago, and that day was quite hard. It will take me a while to really come to terms with it. Kind of felt a bit lost without it in a way and not knowing what to do with myself.
So it`s been a slow process, but I`ve kind of accepted it and moved on. But yes, this week has brought it all back and seeing the film as well.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
DIAZ: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz with the remarkable Casey-O.J. connection. Tonight brand-new revelations today about the startling similarities between the man who once may have been the most hated man in America and the woman who is now the most hated woman in America.
Casey Anthony, O.J. Simpson, both beat the rap. An entire nation was outraged by their acquittals. We can now reveal the connection doesn`t stop there. Here`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s A.J. Hammer.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
A.J. HAMMER, HOST (voice-over): The Casey Anthony trial is being called many things.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Just a crying shame.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Blatant character assassination.
NANCY GRACE, HOST, "NANCY GRACE SHOW": A stunning blow.
HAMMER: But you can also call the Casey Anthony trial something else, a pop culture time machine that was activated with just two words.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Not guilty.
HAMMER: The minute a shocked nation watched Casey Anthony beat charges that she killed her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, we were all instantly transported back to 1995 -
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Not guilty of the crime of murder.
HAMMER: When we watched football star O.J. Simpson beat charges that he killed his ex-wife, Nicole Simpson, and a friend, Ron Goldman.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The most controversial verdict since the O.J. Simpson trial.
HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, today, we`re seeing a nationwide Casey Anthony-induced O.J. Flashback with O.J.`s name mentioned as often as Casey`s.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`ve been O.J.`d.
HAMMER: Two controversial figures, two horrific crimes. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is asking, how do these two trials of the century stack up?
"Inside Edition`s" Jim Moret, who, in 1995, covered the Simpson trial for CNN, tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT there is a big difference between Simpson, an NFL hall of famer turned TV and movie star, and Casey Anthony, a troubled young party girl.
JIM MORET, CHIEF CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": In the O.J. Simpson case, everyone knew O.J. before this trial started. Casey Anthony was unknown. She was a creation of the media.
HAMMER: Once their trials got underway, both Casey and O.J. were the most watched people in the nation and their trials had tons of made-for-TV moments.
MORET: In Casey Anthony, you had the father`s behavior being put on trial.
GEORGE ANTHONY, FATHER OF CASEY ANTHONY: Sir, I would never do anything to harm my daughter.
HAMMER: With O.J. Simpson, you had the famous glove incident.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: If it doesn`t fit, you must acquit.
MORET: You had the blood splatter. You had the police misconduct. You had Kato Kaelin.
HAMMER: Both trials had their share of memorable characters.
JUDGE BELVIN PERRY, NINTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT COURT, ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Maybe I am misinformed when I think you will follow the law.
HAMMER: OK. Casey Anthony judge, Belvin Perry, wasn`t spoofed on "The Tonight Show" like O.J. judge, Lance Ito, and the Dancing Itos.
(MUSIC)
But Casey`s attorney, Jose Baez, is now a new media superstar and stardom may also await the losing side.
MORET: With the O.J. Simpson case, Marcia Clark and Chris Darden, two of the attorneys on the prosecution team, both sold books. In the Casey Anthony case, I think you could see the prosecution team writing books and penning scripts.
HAMMER: Of course, both of these made-for-TV super-trials included two of the most shocking endings in TV history.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Not guilty. Not guilty.
HAMMER: Former O.J. prosecutor, Marcia Clark, tells HLN`s Joy Behar even the O.J. prosecutors never really expected to win a conviction against the well-liked sports hero. But she, like a lot of people, thought the case against Casey was a slam dunk.
MARCIA CLARK, FORMER PROSECUTOR IN THE O.J. SIMPSON CASE: There was no forerunner to the fact that the jury might actually acquit of all of the homicide counts.
HAMMER: And as Casey prepares to walk out of jail, there`s one big thing that separates her from O.J. She`ll be able to cash in on the infamy she earned in her case in a way that O.J. was never able to because of that multimillion dollar civil judgment that found him liable for the murders.
MORET: Anything that he would do professionally would be taken and all that money would go to the Goldman family. In the Casey Anthony case, there is no civil judgment. Anything she makes, she keeps.
HAMMER: That means that millions in book deals, lucrative interviews and movie rights might be coming Casey Anthony`s way. But there`s something else coming her way, too - the judgment of millions who feel that she, like O.J., may have gotten away with murder.
MORET: Both the O.J. Simpson case and the Casey Anthony case had a sense of injustice for a lot of people in this country.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
DIAZ: That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s A.J. Hammer. More of the SHOWBIZ Casey watch coming up tonight. A million dollar Casey Anthony reality check?
Casey cashing in. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT just spoke with a guy who reportedly made $1 million offer to Casey Anthony for her very first post-trial TV interview. You have got to stick around for the explosive new controversial details behind this offer.
And caught on tape. Rihanna`s concert goes up in flames. Scary stuff. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Lots of stars remembering former First Lady Betty Ford tonight. Ford died at the age of 93 on Friday. Tonight, stars who got treatment at Ford`s famous rehab center tweeted about the woman who helped save their lives.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
STEVIE NICKS, SINGER (through telephone): As far as I`m concerned, Betty Ford did save my life. I don`t think she even really realized the impact that she had on so many lives.
She started her place, got people there and sometimes I think that truly great people don`t really even realize how truly great they are.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
DIAZ: Tonight, Halle Berry`s shocking new stalker scare. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT just confirmed that Halle had to make two calls - two calls to cops after multiple scares.
Here`s what Los Angeles Police told us today. Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m., a man hopped the fence at Halle`s L.A. home. When he was confronted by a staffer, he said he was there to see somebody, and then left.
Well, today, we found out the exact same thing happened on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. The same guy jumped the fence again and he gives the staffer the same excuse, "I`m here to see somebody."
Then the man runs off when he was asked to leave. TMZ is reporting Halle saw the man on Sunday when she looked out the window and saw the guy staring her in the face. Some Scary stuff there.
Joining me right now in New York, Sunny Hostin, who is a legal contributor for "In Session" on Tru TV.
Sunny, just today, the LAPD told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they are looking at security video to help identify the intruder. What are Halle`s legal options here?
HOSTIN: You know, I think she has a lot of options. Because she is a celebrity, because, apparently, this man is on her property, how about trespass, perhaps a restraining order?
Now, I know a lot of folks are thinking, well, that takes it too far. I don`t think so. I think when someone is such a public figure and someone else feels the need to approach them at their home, and this is where you`re supposed to be most safe, I think she has a lot of legal options that I`m sure her people are looking into right now.
This is a scary thing. We`ve seen stalkers really, really harm people, hurt people, scare people. She has to do something about this.
DIAZ: Well, this isn`t the first time Halle had to deal with a stalker.
HOSTIN: Exactly.
DIAZ: Back in 2004, Halle had to get a restraining order against a guy who claimed that they were engaged. Now, Sunny, as far as we know, the man who jumped the fence over the weekend has never threatened Halle. Can she still get a restraining order if there are no threats?
HOSTIN: I think there`s no question about it. I mean, certainly, when you are being threatened, you get a restraining order very, very quickly and easily.
But given the fact that this is the second time that he`s approached her and given the fact she`s such a very public person, absolutely, she`ll able to get that.
DIAZ: Well, Sunny, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reached out to Halle Berry`s rep. As of show time, we have not heard anything back. Sunny Hostin, thank you so much for joining us.
HOSTIN: Thanks, Carlos.
DIAZ: And now, the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
Casey Anthony cashing in? Tonight, Kato Kaelin, the guy who lived in O.J. Simpson`s guest house and testified at his murder trial, talks about how he cashed in on his 15 minutes of fame.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KAELIN: I got a radio show in Los Angeles, a show called "Eye for an Eye." (INAUDIBLE). No nudity, please. I became a household name.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: So does Kato think Casey can cash in, too? That`s coming up next. And tonight, Casey Anthony`s confession on Facebook? You`ve got see that. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: "Dancing with the Stars" winner and NFL star Hines Ward arrested for DUI. Prince William and Catherine Middleton hang out with stars during U.S. visit.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
DIAZ: Big news breaking tonight on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - Casey cashing in? Kato Kaelin testified during the O.J. Simpson trial and cashed in on his 15 minutes of fame.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KAELIN: I got a radio show in Los Angeles. I had a show called "Eye for an Eye." (INAUDIBLE). No nudity, please. I became a household name.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: So does Kato think Casey Anthony can cash in, too? Plus, the new details behind the reported $1 million offer for Casey`s first TV interview.
Inside the mind of Jaycee Dugard. Jaycee`s very first TV interview about being kidnapped and raped for 18 years.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DUGARD: After we were driving for a while, I heard the driver say, "I can`t believe we got away with it," and they started laughing. It was like the most horrible moment of your life times 10.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: The big question tonight, how can Jaycee possibly get past all this? And a Rihanna fire scare. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the stunning new video of a fire that broke out at a Rihanna concert.
ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.
(MUSIC)
DIAZ: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Carlos Diaz, in for A.J. Hammer with big breaking news tonight - a million dollar reality check?
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned brand-new details today about a million dollar interview offer to Casey Anthony to do her first interview.
The freelance producer behind the deal claimed today in an interview with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that "The Jerry Springer Show" put in a written offer to Casey`s lawyers. But there was such outrage, they backed out.
However, a spokesperson for Jerry`s show tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT no offer was ever made. That producer, Al Taylor, also told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he`s still working with another show to broker the million dollar deal for Casey`s first interview.
And there are also brand-new reports tonight that Casey Anthony could wind up getting her own reality show. Millions of people are obsessed with her trial, so would it be such a leap? That leads us to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint tonight - would it be crazy to give Casey Anthony a reality show?
With me tonight is Natisha Lance, who has been covering the Casey Anthony story since day one for Nancy Grace`s show here on HLN. And in New York, Sunny Hostin, the host of "In Session" on HLN`s sister network, Tru TV.
All right. Natisha, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - would it be crazy to give Casey a reality show?
LANCE: Well, I think Casey Anthony would have all the makings of a good reality star. She`s young. She`s attractive. A lot of reality shows start from some type of disaster or tragedy, and they go forward from there.
But I think there`s going to be a large reaction, much as we`ve seen with the Jerry Springer interview and that offer of $1 million that is going to be the same thing with Casey Anthony.
I think it`s too soon right now. I think the public is not ready to see this girl on a regular basis, on a reality show getting praised and being hailed as this woman who has just come out of this trial.
So I think if she does get a reality show, it going to be a long ways down the line. But it`s America, anything can happen.
DIAZ: Yes. But there are people screaming at their TV right now. Are you crazy for even talking about this? I mean, Sunny, back to you, what do you think? Would it be insane?
HOSTIN: I don`t know, Carlos. I think I`m going to agree with Natisha. I mean, I`ve been saying it all along. Before, people - if you were convicted of something under the Son of Sam Law, certainly, you can`t profit from it.
But she was acquitted and I think people were just so enthralled with this trial and with Casey Anthony, because she was attractive, because she was a mother, because people can`t get their minds wrapped around the fact that she probably got away with murder.
So I would say maybe a dating reality show, which is bizarre.
DIAZ: Oh, come - really? A dating show?
HOSTIN: Well, we know - there were guys - there were guys outside the courthouse with signs asking to marry her.
DIAZ: Sunny, attractive on the outside. Not - OK.
HOSTIN: I think it`s possible.
DIAZ: OK. That`s going to just blow my mind.
HOSTIN: Yes.
DIAZ: Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there are a lot of ways Casey Anthony and all the characters in the story may be able to cash in on their fame. Here`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Not since the O.J. Simpson trial has a controversial course case captivated the country.
GRACE: We are in a verdict watch here at the Orange County courthouse.
WYNTER: The Casey Anthony trial had all the makings of a Hollywood who- done-it, complete with courthouse showdown and courtroom drama.
BAEZ: She`s a liar and a slut. Let`s make her pay with her life.
WYNTER: Now, with her life spared -
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We the jury find the defendant not guilty.
WYNTER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT asks who is about to cash in big time on the Casey Anthony case? Will it be defense attorney Jose Baez or Judge Belvin Perry? How about Cindy and George Anthony? Perhaps Casey herself?
KAELIN: Crime does pay.
WYNTER: It`s fattened the pockets of Kato Kaelin who rose to fame after testifying as a witness in Simpson murder trial. The intense international media coverage made him an overnight star.
KAELIN: I got a radio show in Los Angeles. I had a show called "Eye for an Eye." (INAUDIBLE). No nudity please. I became a household name.
WYNTER: Other household names that emerged from the Simpson trial -
CLARK: I`m going to make it clear -
WYNTER: Prosecutor Marcia Clark who landed an entertainment TV gig and scored a multi-million dollar book deal.
JOHNNIE COCHRAN, O.J. SIMPSON`S FORMER ATTORNEY: If it doesn`t fit, you must acquit.
WYNTER: Simpson`s late attorney, Johnnie Cochran, catapulted to a pop culture icon and Cochran`s sidekick in the Simpson case, Robert Shapiro, the man behind "LegalZoom.com."
ROBERT SHAPIRO, ATTORNEY: We put the law on your side.
WYNTER: "Inside Edition`s" chief correspondent, Jim Moret, who covered the historic Simpson trial, tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he`s betting Baez is about to get paid plenty for pulling off a legal stunner.
MORET: Baez is now a name to be reckoned with because you`re going to get a lot of clients for this guy. You`re going to see people going up to Jose Baez, "Will you represent me?" The judge also, I think, made a name for himself
WYNTER: Move over, Judge Judy. Moret says Hollywood may soon be crashing Judge Perry`s courtroom.
MORET: This trial has been on television. Judge Perry is now a bona fide reality star whether he likes it or not. He`s a no-nonsense judge, and I think a lot of people will identify with that.
WYNTER: But will the public be able to identify with this mother? People still think she`s behind her daughter`s death. Kato Kaelin says don`t hold your breath.
KAELIN: Casey Anthony is going to be very famous and I think people - I think for her, it`s going to be very negative. Even her attorney called her a slut. I think that`s a hard one to come across to win everybody back.
WYNTER: Whether Casey cashes in on the case is anybody`s guess. But Jim Moret tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT one thing`s for sure, prosecutors may be left empty-handed.
MORET: This was a high-stakes trial. The fact that this was lost in such a horrible way for the prosecution is devastating to that team. You`re not going to see stars coming out there.
WYNTER: But for the real stars in the Casey Anthony trial, in this case, cash is king.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
DIAZ: That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter. And I can tell you that if Casey does end up cashing in, the Casey hate factor is going to explode.
Our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page blew up when we asked if it would be OK for Casey to go to Hollywood after she gets out of jail.
We asked to you vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. And late today, we finally got the results. Check it out. Eighty-two percent said it was not OK for Casey to go to Hollywood. Eighteen percent said it would be OK.
Sunny, that may seem like an overwhelming vote, but I am baffled that anyone, let alone 18 percent, would think it`s OK for Casey to go to Hollywood.
HOSTIN: And I think there are probably more than 18 percent of the population, actually, Carlos. I mean, bottom line is, this woman is now infamous, famous. People can`t get enough of the story.
They want to hear from her. I predict when she writes that book, people are going to buy it. I predict when she gets that television interview, people are going to watch it. People are going to -
DIAZ: How can she do a book unless she says either "I killed my daughter or my dad -"
HOSTIN: O.J. did it. He did it - "If I Did It."
DIAZ: Natisha, we just had Kato in that piece. This is not Kato. This is O.J. I mean, Casey is O.J. in this case and O.J. wasn`t the most popular guy when he got out. What do you think? Can Casey become popular in Hollywood?
LANCE: Right. And that`s what I noticed about that piece. These were all people who were surrounded with that case but not the actual defendants who were in those cases.
So I don`t know. But Hollywood always likes a big comeback, so Casey Anthony may be that for people. But she was given some offers, at least for porn, Jerry Springer, but all of those offers were recanted. So I think at least -
DIAZ: If you can`t do porn -
LANCE: Right.
DIAZ: If you can`t do porn in Hollywood, I mean, you`ve got an issue. Even a porn company -
LANCE: Yes. Even her attorney, Jose Baez, was supposed to be signed with a very high profile agent.
DIAZ: Right.
LANCE: And that agent also withdrew that offer to him. So I think, right now, it`s too early, but maybe a few years down the road, we could be seeing Casey Anthony.
HOSTIN: People want to hear from her.
(CROSS TALK)
DIAZ: Wait. You said that the porn company withdrew their offer. Here`s a fascinating perspective from Amy Fisher who was once a pariah herself. Amy is the woman who shot the wife of her lover, Joey Buttafuoco, when she was just 17 years old. Watch what she told HLN`s Dr. Drew on "Celebrity Rehab." She says she had no choice but to do porn.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
AMY FISHER, FORMER MISTRESS OF JOEY BUTTAFUOCO: So now, all these Hollywood producers - they sit there, you know, in their big houses. And they don`t care that they just ruin - and they knew they were ruing some kid`s life and they didn`t care.
How cruel can the world be? The point is she will come to me because that`s what society expects with me. And they can make a lot of money.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: Amy Fisher calling the world cruel. Sunny, do you think Casey is about to get a taste of that? Twenty seconds.
HOSTIN: No question about it. She`s going to be in an informal prison. People are going to hate her. Remember what happened to O.J. People were following him around. They`re going to be following her around. She`s now infamous.
DIAZ: All right. Sunny Hostin, Natisha Lance, thank you so much for joining us.
A Casey Anthony confession on Facebook? Brand-new outrage tonight over a video sparking chaos on the Internet. Did Casey really confess to what she just got acquitted of? Next.
And inside mind of Jaycee Dugard. Jaycee`s very first TV interview about being kidnapped and raped for 18 years.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DUGARD: And he would shut the studio or the soundproof door and then the other door with the lock.
SAWYER: You heard that?
DUGARD: Yes. I can still hear it consciously, when I`m awake.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: It`s the most startling interview you`re ever going to hear. How can Jaycee possibly get past all this? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: "Friday" singer Rebecca Black to release new single next week, five- song EP in August. Tom Felton reveals what he`s learned from Daniel Radcliffe on the set of "Harry Potter."
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
TOM FELTON, ACTOR: Daniel has kind of been the flag flyer for the last 10 years. And he`s been a real inspiration, not only for me, but I think for all of the youngsters. He`s never taken it for granted.
He`s never thought, "You know what? I don`t need them now. I don`t need to bother trying anymore." Any time he finished a film, he`d go and work on his craft in some way, shape or form and come back even stronger next year. So that`s kind of the (INAUDIBLE) and hopefully as well. So yes, I`ve learned so much from him.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DUGARD: After we were driving for a while, I heard the driver say, "I can`t believe we got away with it," and he started laughing. I think I blacked out again or something. It was like the most horrible moment of your life times 10.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: That is Jaycee Dugard in her first TV interview telling ABC`s Diane Sawyer her absolutely horrific story about being held captive for 18 years by convicted sex offender, Phillip Garrido.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz. Tonight, a true survivor. For the very first time Jaycee Dugard is opening up about what her life was like after she was kidnapped at the age of 11.
Jaycee was grabbed off the street while heading to school, thrown into a car and disappeared. Her story of how she survived this living hell for 18 years is just mind-boggling.
With me right now from Hollywood, Wendy Walsh, who is a TV journalist and doctor of psychology.
Wendy, I think this is so eerie about this whole nightmare. The eeriest thing is, Jaycee`s explanation to what Diane Sawyer said about the awful sound that she remembers so clearly from the very first day she was kidnapped. Listen to the way Jaycee describes it all.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DUGARD: And he would shut the studio or the soundproof door and then the other door with the lock.
SAWYER: You heard that?
DUGARD: I heard that lock. Yes. I can still hear it consciously when I`m awake. Some sounds and smells just don`t leave you. The bed - it was a squeaky bed, squeaky pull-out bed. I guess the noise, the sounds is what really sticks in your head.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: Wendy, I`ve got chills hearing Jaycee describe her living hell. And yet, she revealed it so matter-of-factly. Are you surprised she`s able to replay those awful sounds in her mind and yet she seems at peace with it?
WENDY WALSH, TV JOURNALIST AND DOCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY: I`m surprised that she`s able to talk about it. But you know, these are features of post- traumatic stress disorder which, obviously, she has to some degree.
But the fact that she`s talking about it is also part of her processing of it. It`s her working through of what happened and separating it from where she is now.
DIAZ: Well, I can tell you right now Jaycee`s interview really hit home. And Hollywood stars have been tweeting about it all day, including Oprah Winfrey.
Here`s what she tweeted, "Failure after failure, neglect in the Jaycee Dugard case sickening. This ought to be a wake-up call for a parole system. Don`t we love Jaycee`s resilience. Much to teach us all. Have preordered the book."
Oprah, of course, talking about Jaycee`s book called "A Stolen Life: A Memoir" which is released today. Jaycee Diane Sawyer she wanted to write a book on behalf of all the victims of sexual abuse who are afraid to tell their story. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DUGARD: Why not look at it, you know, stare it down until it can`t scare you anymore.
SAWYER: There`s one more measure of Jaycee Dugard`s willingness to stare it down - stare down the truth. It turns out Phillip Garrido videotaped what he did to her, and the prosecutors asked her to look at them.
She says she did to make sure he had not kidnapped any other little girls and every tape was of her.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: Jaycee viewed every frame of that video that her captor took of her just so she could make sure that there were no other victims.
Wendy, what do you think was going through her mind while she was watching those tapes? And how did she not go off the deep end watching them?
WALSH: Well, let`s remember that this young amazing woman had so much resilience partly because of the 11 years of great parenting and good attachment that she had to begin with, and a few other factors as well.
So when she`s able to watch this, she`s also processing. While it`s traumatic, she`s doing what she says, staring it down instead of running from it. Most of our mental disorder and neuroses are because we`re running from feelings and running from pain.
And she`s wanting to face it and work through it and process it. Very hard to do, but she was able to do it here.
DIAZ: Well, I`m in disbelief about how Jaycee lived through this whole ordeal, and I`m not alone. Kim Kardashian tweeted today, "This is so, so sad, such a shocking story." And Roseanne Barr tweeted, "Jaycee Dugard is an amazing human being."
We now know as the years of her captivity progressed, Jaycee was given a little more freedom by her captor. And a lot of people have been wondering why Jaycee never tried to make a run for it.
Jaycee really gave a sense of what was going through her mind at the time. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DUGARD: The situation felt like it wasn`t an option. I don`t know how else to explain it. There was no leaving.
SAWYER: What would it have taken for you to believe you could leave?
DUGARD: I`ve asked myself that question many times. My manipulation, plus the physical abuse I suffered in the beginning - there was no leaving.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: It sounds like she was just amazingly brainwashed. You cannot even begin to think what she had to go through. Wendy Walsh, thank you so much for sharing with us.
All right. A big Casey Anthony confession tonight. The brand-new video sparking chaos on the Internet.
Plus, a Rihanna fire scare. The shocking new video today of her concert going up in flames. That`s next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Lots of stars remembering former First Lady Betty Ford tonight. Ford died at the age of 93 on Friday. Tonight, stars tweeted about the woman who helped save lives.
TEXT: "Mrs. Ford was a courageous pioneer, a groundbreaking First Lady and a forceful advocate for anyone suffering from addiction or breast cancer." - Maria Shriver
"I loved and revered Mrs. Ford. She changed so many of our lives with her courage and her intelligence, her honesty and humility and her deep grace." - Ali McGraw
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
DIAZ: A Casey Anthony confession video? There`s a video making the rounds tonight on the Web where Casey Anthony supposedly confesses to murdering her two-year-old daughter, Caylee.
But don`t believe it. According to "PCWorld.com," the so-called video link is popping up all over Facebook. And if you click on it, you`ll be exposing all your friends to a really bad virus.
The link actually shows an image of Casey in court with a play button over her face that reads, "Breaking news, leaked video of Casey Anthony confessing to her lawyer." Now that would be huge.
But here`s my advice - don`t click on it. Keep it right here on HLN for all the real Casey Anthony news.
So many stars are still outraged over the not-guilty verdict in the Casey Anthony trial, like Jenna Elfman. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT just caught with Jenna who is starring in the new movie, "Friends With Benefits." Jenna wants to see justice for little Caylee Anthony.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JENNA ELFMAN, ACTRESS: I think it`s just an annoying part of life when common sense and the justice system can`t link up. And for whatever reason, there was not the evidence presented or available and people not being honest enough somehow to permit true justice.
As a human being, I want for Caylee`s sake for responsibility and justice to be served so that it`s, like, right.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DIAZ: All right. Moving now to big news in Hollywood tonight. The Beckhams give birth the same weekend as Kate Hudson. And a scary fire involving Rihanna. Plus, Justin Timberlake breaks news tonight about MySpace. It`s all making big news in "The Buzz Today."
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over) SHOWBIZ TONIGHT breaks news - brand-new celebrity MySpace partner Justin Timberlake is denying reports MySpace is planning a talent competition. Timberlake who just bought into the ailing social network tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT the reports are not true.
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, SINGER AND MYSPACE PARTNER: Someone said that we were mulling over a talent competition. But no one`s told me about that, so we`re not.
But we have a lot of ideas. We got to get together and crank them out. It could present a lot of interesting ways to connect my music with people who would still like to hear it.
Rihanna`s all fired up. A fire caused by a pyrotechnic malfunction just forced the singer to cut short a concert in Dallas. No injuries were reported from the accident, but Rihanna apologized to her fans via Twitter and promised she`ll come back to Dallas.
Star baby boom. On the same weekend Kate Hudson and fiance, Matthew Bellamy, had a baby boy, David and Victoria Beckham welcomed a little girl. It`s the second child for Hudson while it`s the fourth baby for the Beckhams.
