Hello, I`m Carlos Diaz, in for A.J. Hammer with big news breaking tonight - the secret life of Casey Anthony.

There are explosive new reports today about how Casey Anthony plans to start her life over after she gets out of jail. She`s been behind bars for almost three years while she stood trial accused of murdering her two-year- old daughter, Caylee.

Now that a jury has found her not guilty of murder and she`s four days away from freedom, a lot of people are wondering, what will happen to the woman who has become pretty much a pariah everywhere?

Well, today, we`re getting startling new details about whether Casey`s new life may mean putting her vilified name in the past and taking on an entirely new identity. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the reinvention of Casey Anthony.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Casey Anthony the blond? Casey Anthony with glasses? Or Casey Anthony hiding behind some other disguise hunkered down in a secret location in the United States perhaps near you?

SUNNY HOSTIN, LEGAL CORRESPONDENT, "IN SESSION": No one wants Casey Anthony to live next door.

DIAZ: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is learning brand-new details of the top secret life Casey Anthony may be planning to live once she leaves jail this Sunday as probably the most hated woman in America.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This is not justice for Caylee.

DIAZ: And today, there`s an explosive new revelation from a juror who is revealing for the first time how close the jury came to finding Casey Anthony responsible for the death of her daughter, Caylee.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The original vote for the aggravated manslaughter was six to six.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Purportedly, they say she`s going to start using a different name and disguise and sort of - you know.

(CROSS TALK)

JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": What is she going to wear, like a Groucho Marx mustache?

DIAZ: Today, everyone`s talking about an explosive report in the "Chicago Sun Times." It quotes sources close to Casey Anthony who say that once she leaves jail, Casey plans to live an incognito life described as a witness- protection-like program complete with disguises, pseudonyms and a residence in a secret location -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Justice for Caylee!

DIAZ: All to avoid being hassled by a nation full of people who feel she got away with murdering her own child.

HOSTIN: People are so outraged by this verdict, so there`s no question in my mind that she will need to live in anonymity.

DIAZ: Casey and her attorneys are flat out refusing to say where Casey will go other than hinting to NBC`s "Today" show that, yes, Casey will likely stay in the U.S.

CHENEY MASON, CASEY ANTHONY`S ATTORNEY: It`s as much her country as anybody else`s. She just needs to have some time and counseling and be, you know, reintroduced to society.

DIAZ: But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you two things are certain about Casey`s post-jail life. One, she can probably forget about going to live with her parents in Orlando.

HOSTIN: She threw them, especially George Anthony, completely under the bus. In the defense`s opening statement, while they didn`t prove it, they accused George Anthony of being a child molester, of being complicit in hiding his granddaughter`s body.

And Cindy Anthony just went to try to visit Casey Anthony in jail and Casey declined her offer. So given that, I can`t imagine that she`s going to go live with Cindy and George.

DIAZ: And another certainty about Casey`s post-jail life, she`ll be getting no help from the cops.

JERRY DEMINGS, SHERIFF, ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA: We will not be providing any elaborate security or protection for Casey once she leaves.

DIAZ: The police who built the murder case against Casey tell reporters they know of no credible threats against Casey so she shouldn`t expect them to look after her.

DEMINGS: She`s a free citizen at that point. The only thing that we would do is facilitate that departure.

DIAZ: But if Casey`s scared of living on the outside, we`re learning today she came awfully close to not having to worry about that problem at all.

GARY TUCHMAN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: The original vote for the aggravated manslaughter was six to six.

JENNIFER FORD, JUROR IN THE CASEY ANTHONY TRIAL: Correct.

TUCHMAN: And which side of the six were you on?

FORD: The manslaughter.

DIAZ: CNN`s Gary Tuchman spoke with Jennifer Ford, who was a juror in the Casey Anthony murder trial. Ford says the jury was split on convicting Casey of manslaughter. So why didn`t they?

FORD: It`s just lack of hard evidence.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Not guilty -

DIAZ: So Casey is about to walk out of jail a free woman. And regardless of where she goes and whether she plans to wear a disguise, a normal life seems to be out of the question.

HOSTIN: Even if she has this wonderful disguise, I can`t imagine that that will work.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

DIAZ: Casey may have been cleared of murder charges, but she was convicted of lying to investigators. And it seems, at least at first, she had a lot of people snowed. And that brings us to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - can Casey actually thrive if she changes her identity?

With me right now from Hollywood, Pat Lalama, who is an investigative journalist. And in New York, Michael Billy, who is a TV and radio host.

All right. So if Casey goes through with reported plans to change her name, consider plastic surgery and wear a disguise, I`m thinking for someone like Casey, who lied about little Caylee`s fate time and time again, leading a secret double life might actually work for her.

So Pat, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, do you think Casey could actually thrive if she takes on a new identity?

PAT LALAMA, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: I think better than most of us. I mean, I`m an open book. I could never fake it. I am what I am and it`s just the way it is.

With her, she relishes telling lies. It`s almost like a mental chess game for her. Who can I fool? And I truly believe she believes her own lies. So, yes, she`d probably get away with it better than most of it.

But then, there`s a flip side, Carlos. I think she loves attention. I think she will want to revel a bit in the attention of who she is -

DIAZ: Yes.

LALAMA: The notoriety she`s gained through all of this, so I`m not so sure. It could go either way.

DIAZ: I think Casey`s only hope for having some sort of life after trial is to change her name, go where no one knows her.

But Michael, we live in a digital age where, you know, anyone can - you take a picture. We live in the Facebook era. It`s got to be impossible for anyplace in America for Casey to find where they don`t know who she is.

MICHAEL BILLY, TV AND RADIO HOST: She could grow her hair out, you know, put it in a bun, get some hoop earrings and move out by me in New Jersey, people are still going to recognize this woman.

DIAZ: Yes.

BILLY: Not to mention you`re right. She`s her worst enemy, OK? The psychology behind a pathological liar is they like that immediate attention. She has that sensational life that she`s always craved for and lied about.

Now, she wants - I`m guessing she`s going to just want to be honest about it and tell somebody the sensational life that she`s had.

DIAZ: Yes. I mean, she wasn`t accused of killing Caylee so she could go, you know, to a knitting class. She wanted to go out and party. She wanted to go out and have a good time. She wanted to be known and be seen.

Just this morning, the ladies of "The View" were fired up over reports that Casey may actually wear a disguise after she gets out of jail. But Sherri Shepherd says she`s not sure a disguise is going to help Casey. Watch.

SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": She may have, you know, been - they said not guilty - by the jurors. But I think the court of public opinion has convicted her. I think confrontations with this woman is going to be part of her life. And wherever she goes -

ELISABETH HASSELBECK, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": She should have thought about that.

(CROSS TALK)

SHEPHERD: And you think this is what`s going to be happening with her, especially when it`s out that she`s going to be changing her disguise. People are going to make it a point -

HASSELBECK: Yes.

SHEPHERD: To be trying to find her.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Well, I mean, people are going to go, "Oh, yes. She`s out. We can`t find her." It`s going to be everyone in America looking for Casey Anthony.

Pat, do you think Casey can pull off making a life for herself after sparking so much outrage?

LALAMA: You know what? Let`s just calm down here for a second, OK? I think a lot -

DIAZ: Pat Lalama telling someone to calm down. That`s amazing.

(CROSS TALK)

LALAMA: No wait, I didn`t say I had to calm down. I said everybody else had to calm down.

DIAZ: OK. OK.

LALAMA: All right. Here`s the point. Here`s the point. I think we are - look, everybody wants to continue the Casey Anthony ratings freight train. And we`re creating these stories a lot of the time.

I`m not, you know, accusing you of that. I`m just saying everyone wants to keep the story going. And now, it`s oh, my gosh. Will there be a vigilante crowd with torches?

I think it`s not going to be that way. I think there are going to be cooler heads prevailing. There`s always going to be - there could be a nut case next who wants to get me because my dog barked.

DIAZ: Oh, come on, Pat.

LALAMA: No, no, no.

DIAZ: Have you seen - have you seen the women outside the courtroom? I mean, Michael. Help me out here. Women throughout the country -

(CROSS TALK)

BILLY: Carlos -

DIAZ: Are enraged.

LALAMA: (INAUDIBLE) a handful of people.

DIAZ: I`ve talked to women across the country who want her head on a platter. I mean, people are outraged that she got away with murder. Michael -

LALAMA: Yes, but -

BILLY: Look at it this way. Look at it this way. The best thing that happened to Tracy Morgan was this Casey Anthony verdict.

DIAZ: Yes, good point.

BILLY: The best thing to happen to Arnold Schwarzenegger was Tracy Morgan. And the list is going to go on and on and on.

DIAZ: Oh, but Michael, this is biggest case of century.

BILLY: This is true.

DIAZ: There`s not a bigger story out there. And my point is, in America, we live in a digital age where we`re all joined through Facebook and through other social media.

And I just don`t think there`s anyone out there who is going to date this unknown person, you know, for a few weeks before she says, "Guess what? I`m Casey Anthony."

LALAMA: Carlos, she`ll get - Carlos, she`ll get heckled. She`ll get harassed. But this concept that there`s going to be a mob with torches, you know, following her to the streets and highways and byways of America is ridiculous.

And the fact is that those people who are so inflamed to the point where they do nothing but hang out at the courthouse and scream and yell - they`ve got their own issues, OK?

I mean, we`re all upset. Everyone`s upset one way or the other. But we can`t give so much credibility to people who are that inflamed about this.

DIAZ: All right. Pat Lalama, I love your opinion. Thank you so much. Michael, thanks for trying to get a word in. I appreciate that.

LALAMA: Sorry, Michael.

DIAZ: Another brand-new blockbuster tonight in the SHOWBIZ Casey Anthony watch. There are reports tonight that Casey may do a tell-all interview with ABC`s Katie Couric. Our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - would be Casey be nuts to do a tell-all with anyone?

A "Survivor" murder-shocker. Tonight, a former "Survivor" producer ordered to stand trial in Mexico for his wife`s murder.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Who do you think killed your wife, Bruce?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Will the producer`s six-year-old daughter be forced to testify?

Tonight, Oprah hires a new CEO for her struggling OWN network - herself. But can she really turn things around? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Halle Berry granted restraining order against alleged stalker. Billy Ray Cyrus tells CNN`s Piers Morgan he shouldn`t have done "GQ" interview.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BILLY RAY CYRUS, COUNTRY SINGER: I realize that I made a big mistake even giving that interview. It was such a - again, a dark time. I don`t think there was a whole lot. It was more of just the emotions of seeing that a whole family was falling apart.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CASEY ANTHONY, ACQUITTED OF MURDERING HER TWO-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER, CAYLEE ANTHONY: Protecting our family, yes, not from anything that I`ve done.

CINDY ANTHONY, MOTHER OF CASEY ANTHONY: Someone`s threatening us. Someone`s threatening us.

CASEY ANTHONY: Mom, just leave it at that, please.

CINDY ANTHONY: OK.

CASEY ANTHONY: For right now, just leave it at that.

CINDY ANTHONY: OK. I trust you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Tonight, the incredible, just-revealed Casey Anthony jailhouse tapes. HLN`s Nancy Grace just got a hold of them. The Casey Anthony jury actually saw these very tapes during the trial.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz. You do not want to miss Nancy Grace`s unbelievable special. She will dig into what these mean. Nancy`s three-part special continues tomorrow.

(INAUDIBLE) right now on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall. Should there be a Casey Anthony movie? June J. doesn`t think so, "No movies, no books, no appearances, no attention. In my opinion, it would be career suicide to have any part in this movie."

Amber J. would go for it, though with more of a documentary feel, "If a movie is made, it needs to be made of real footage in the courtroom and interviews, not some actress coming in playing Casey."

Moving on right now, introducing Chief Executive Oprah. Today, we learned the queen of talk is expanding her role as chairman of the OWN Network.

Lady O will step in chief executive officer and chief creative officer this fall. So will this be the key to turning things around for Oprah`s struggling network?

Joining me right now is entertainment journalist, Kelley Carter.

Now, it sounds to me like Oprah decided, if you want to do the job right, you`ve got to do it yourself. Kelley, do you think this is exactly what O needs to get the network back on track? A little bit of that Oprah magic?

KELLEY CARTER, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: Absolutely. I mean, if there`s anybody that`s going to do justice to the Oprah Winfrey Network, it`s going to be Oprah Winfrey herself, especially coming off the heels of such a successful finale.

It was clear that people wanted more Oprah. And it was clear, I think, that Oprah kind of wanted to really be able to take her own career in her hands. And she definitely will be able to do that in her OWN Network.

DIAZ: Yes. Well, just today, Oprah took some time off her much-deserved summer vacation to talk about some big time changes coming to OWN this fall.

Oprah says producers of her talk show will be moving on to produce "The Rosie Show" with Rosie O`Donnell. Oprah will also be in L.A. working on her new primetime show, "Oprah`s Next Chapter." And for those of you who are going through Oprah withdrawal like I am, Oprah is returning to TV in the fall with a nightly class on OWN.

Oprah`s taken some risks, putting herself in the hot seat and bringing Rosie back to TV. It`s no guaranteed thing. Kelley, is this a risk that you see paying off for Oprah in the end?

CARTER: Yes, absolutely. I mean, Oprah really hasn`t steered herself wrong in her very illustrious career so far, you know. So I don`t think we really shouldn`t be mindful of any missteps, any possible missteps that Oprah could make.

I think what we`re going to see is probably a more unedited Oprah. You know, come the fall, the plan always was for more Oprah, more Oprah once, you know, her contractual obligations ended with "The Oprah Winfrey Show." And now, I think she`s just going to be, you know, to the (INAUDIBLE) out there. And I just can`t wait to see her back on TV.

DIAZ: Yes. You know what? You`ve always got to bet on Oprah. She`s got the success flowing. All right. Let`s fast forward five years. Are we going to be laughing at ourselves that we ever doubted Oprah?

CARTER: Of course we are. Look, this woman is wildly influential. Why wouldn`t she make the right moves when it comes to her own career? I mean, we`re going to be laughing at ourselves thinking why do we ever even question what move Winfrey was doing.

DIAZ: All right. Well, Kelley, I`m telling you right now, you can put your resume in at OWN, because after this segment, I think she`s going to want to hire you. That`s all I`m saying to you.

CARTER: Call me.

DIAZ: Kelley Carter - thank you so much, Kelley.

CARTER: Thank you.

DIAZ: All right. Tonight, we`ve got your very first look at Simon Cowell and his crew on his super-buzzed-about show, "The X Factor." Check this out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(SINGING)

PAULA ABDUL, JUDGE, "THE X FACTOR": I just loved your spirit. It`s wonderful.

SIMON COWELL, JUDGE, "THE X FACTOR": I can`t believe I`m going to say this. That was exactly the word I was going to use. I love your spirit.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Simon gone soft? Say it isn`t so, bro. That`s coming up.

And a bizarre new polygamy battle on TLC`s "Sister Wives." Four wives, one guy. And tonight, the wives take a dramatic step to make their marriage legal. But is this really a smart idea? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Rihanna replaces Megan Fox as face of Armani. Mila Kunis talks about sexism in Hollywood, "You have no idea how hard it is for a woman in this business. It`s (EXPLETIVE DELETED) up, but you have to deal with guys like that. I`ve learned to roll with it.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Tonight, Linda Hogan says, don`t call me cougar. When Linda split from her ex, Hulk Hogan, in 2007, some people were outraged when she started dating a guy who is nearly 30 years younger than she is.

But then Hulk started hanging out with women who are much younger than he was. So tonight, in SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview, Linda makes this very valid point to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s A.J. Hammer. Why is it OK for Hulk to go younger, but not her?

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

LINDA HOGAN, EX-WIFE OF HULK HOGAN: Why are you so shocked? I mean, it`s a double standard. I mean, this has been going on since a long time ago. I don`t know for how many years - older guys with younger women.

And we`re accustomed to that. Hugh Hefner kind of was like the pacesetter for that. I`m in the calling him out. I`m just saying that he`s smart. You know, he`s not tolerating the bad treatment from somebody that`s already burned out.

And you know, I`ve got a lot of energy and I`ve got a lot of life - love to give. And I need to be with somebody that can enjoy that with me.

I`m not backing up for anybody at this point. I`m enjoying my life and I deserve that now. And women of my kind do. You know, I mean, why is that wrong?

A.J. HAMMER, HOST (on camera): And what about the double standard? Because your ex, Hulk Hogan - you know, he`s soon going to be turning 58. He`s current girlfriend is much, much younger.

And quite frankly, a lot of people say she looks a whole lot like your daughter, Brooke. What`s the deal there, Linda?

L. HOGAN: Well, she`s in her 30s. I think she`s 35 or 36 now. But you know, yes. The weird thing is not even the age there. It`s that she looks like a clone of Brooke.

The first time I saw her, I said, "Oh, my gosh. That`s weird." Weirder than what I`m going through. A lot of people have likened, you know, Charlie`s looks to a young Hulk Hogan, maybe.

But I don`t see it that way. And I certainly never set out, you know, to look for a younger guy to tick the hulkster off. I just happened kind of naturally and I found a soul mate in him. He`s a worthy guy and we`ve just gotten along great. I feel like I deserve this time in my life to really enjoy things.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

DIAZ: You can read more about Linda`s plans with her younger guy in her fascinating new book, "Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes" in stores now.

And now, the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

DIAZ: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Carlos Diaz, in for A.J. Hammer with big news breaking tonight - Casey`s TV tell-all.

As Casey Anthony, sitting in a Florida jail right now, waiting to be released, and we are going to be able to tell you right now there`s a frenzy to land the first Casey Anthony TV interview.

Brand-new reports tonight reveal Casey could end up spilling the story to Katie Couric. It`s a Casey TV drama and it leads us to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, would Casey be nuts to do a TV tell-all interview?

Joining me right now in Hollywood, investigative journalist, Pat Lalama. And in New York, TV and radio host, Michael Billy.

Pat, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, would Casey be nuts to do a tell-all TV interview?

LALAMA: Well, depends on how you look at it. First of all, she needs money, so it would be the obvious place for her to go.

But you have to look at the psychological aspects of this, Carlos. This is a woman who is so pathological in her lies that when she tells them, she believes them herself, and that`s what I find fascinating.

Everyone says, "I won`t pay attention. I won`t watch. No, no, no. I want nothing to do with it." But Carlos, as you well know, it`s like living in L.A. and you see a crash on the 405 and you promise not to look, but when you`re driving by you can`t help it.

We won`t able to help it because we want to see what kind of story she`ll tell and whether she can be tripped up in telling that story.

DIAZ: Yes. And I think Katie Couric would be a great person to try to do that, if Katie wants to go with that challenge. Michael, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, do you think Casey Anthony would be crazy to do a tell-all TV interview?

BILLY: Absolutely not. Look, this is a woman who invited the press into her life. We were so enthralled with the daughter missing and the trial and everything else. This is someone who is obviously liking and craving this attention.

She owes the American public some sort of explanation. And the American public shouldn`t feel bad about watching it. It`s an American pastime to be part of the due process. Let`s get an explanation out of this woman.

DIAZ: I remember when she was about to testify, you know, there was that moment when we thought she might testify. I was in a restaurant. They turned off the sports channel and went right to HLN, because they wanted to see if she was going to testify.

People will watch. Now, there are brand-new reports tonight about the frenzy to land the first Casey Anthony interview. Katie Couric reportedly can`t wait to get Casey on camera.

I`ve got to imagine, Katie is not the only big-time anchor who wants this interview. Michael, do you want to see that Casey Anthony sit down? And do you think there`s going to be a scrum of big time people wanting to get that interview?

BILLY: Yes, I do want to see Casey Anthony sit down and explain. I just - I`m so interested in the psychology of this woman. That`s what -

LALAMA: Yes.

BILLY: Obviously, I mean, we want to find out what`s in this woman`s head. I`m sure everyone`s chomping at the bit for it. I`ve got to go with HLN`s Dr. Drew, that`s why I want to interview this woman. I`m interested in the psychology.

DIAZ: Wow. OK, a vote for Dr. Drew right there. I`m voting for Pat Lalama. Now, Pat -

LALAMA: Hey, yes.

DIAZ: I`ve got to ask you and I know that you would not leave any stone unturned in that interview. But a lot of people are wanting to know what really happened with her two-year-old daughter Caylee. Investigators spent a fortune trying to find this little girl before her body was discovered. Listen to what one investigator revealed about the search.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You give them the ability to explain their actions, but they always can come up and say, "This is what happened." I was just - even to this day, I`m still surprised that she just didn`t come up, that she wouldn`t tell us the truth.

And that`s all we were after - was the truth. That day, this whole thing could have ended if we had known the truth.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: You heard it. The whole thing could have ended if Casey had just told the truth. Pat, does Casey owe America an explanation?

LALAMA: No, she doesn`t owe us anything. But you`re absolutely right. The issue here is the psychology. I`ve covered criminals for as long as I can remember. What makes this woman fascinating is the pathological aspect.

The fact that she led investigators down the hall - where was it - at Disney World saying, "Yes, I work here. Come on, we`re going to my office."

And here`s (INAUDIBLE), the investigators marching down the street or down the hallway, and she gets to the door and says, "Just kidding." That`s the fascinating part of this woman.

DIAZ: Yes.

LALAMA: And she`s going to continue. She can`t help herself. This is a sickness. She can`t help herself.

DIAZ: Yes. I agree. That`s Universal, by the way. And you know, until the very last moment, where she had to say, "OK, I don`t work here," you know, she carried the lie all the way through.

LALAMA: Right.

DIAZ: And I`ve got to imagine with all the lying Casey has done, it`s going to be hard for anyone to believe what she says on TV anyway.

Her own jailhouse psychologist told HLN`s Nancy Grace that Casey couldn`t control herself when it came to lying. Listen.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE, CASEY ANTHONY`S JAILHOUSE PSYCHOLOGIST: This is a family that had a lot of inappropriate ways of coping with complex issues. And the lying was - Casey herself can`t even explain that.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

DIAZ: It sounds like she`s almost pathological. Michael, you know with a liar, a liar always says, "Hold on. Let me tell you my story. Let me tell you my story." And that`s the thing. If she tells her story, will there be any credibility at all?

BILLY: Well, it`s clearly pathological. And whether we`re getting the truth or not, who`s going to know? We won`t know.

LALAMA: Right.

BILLY: But at least we can take a case like this and learn as much as we can from the mistakes that were made, from the subject, from child abuse, possible child abuse, alleged child abuse, in situations like that. We have a lot to learn. That`s what I`m saying

DIAZ: But Pat, how does she do the interview without contradicting herself. I mean, she either has to say, "I killed my daughter," or "We found her in a pool," like Jose Baez has said. Either way, it`s not good for Casey Anthony.

LALAMA: Well, you know, that`s why a lot of defense attorneys refuse to allow their clients to take the stand, the ones who want to take the stand. O.J. Simpson wanted to take the stand but he was in the exact same situation, because he would trip himself up.

He would be tripped up by smart prosecutors. She has to be really careful. She would probably, if she does an interview, set parameters which journalists don`t like and won`t agree to.

She`ll pick -and here`s who I would like it see do the first interview. I`d like to see Nancy Grace because she won`t let her get away with the lies and we`ll finally get the cross examination we should have.

DIAZ: Can you imagine Nancy Grace sitting across from Casey Anthony, a no- holds-barred interview? I would be (INAUDIBLE) right there.

LALAMA: There would be no way Casey Anthony could continue to lie. Nancy would get her tripped into a corner, and that would be the end of that.

DIAZ: Yes. I think the entire world would tune in. That`s why don`t think you`re going to see her -

LALAMA: Yes, I would.

DIAZ: With someone as talented as Nancy doing the interview or as Katie Couric -

LALAMA: No.

DIAZ: Because she`s going to want to give her side of the story and she`s going to have to have -

(CROSS TALK)

LALAMA: I`m sorry, Carlos. She needs a soft-sell.

DIAZ: Yes, exactly. It needs to be somebody who`s going to just going to say, "Sure, I believe you. I believe everything you say to me right now."

There are also brand-new reports that Casey may go into hiding when she goes free this weekend. But even if she doesn`t go on camera for an interview, there`s the idea of a Casey Anthony movie, which seems pretty much inevitable.

The SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook blew up when we asked if Hollywood could make a movie about Casey. We asked you to vote our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. And late today, we finally got the results.

Check it out. Only eight percent said it was OK for Hollywood to make a Casey movie. Ninety-two percent, no, it`s not OK. Pat, that is an overwhelming vote. You said yesterday that you wouldn`t mind seeing a Casey Anthony movie.

LALAMA: Yes.

DIAZ: Is Casey (INAUDIBLE) now?

LALAMA: Look, no, I didn`t say I wouldn`t mind seeing one. I said if it was done responsibly, because like Michael said, we`re very interested in the psychology of this case.

So I`d like to see a responsible documentarian look into this. The fact of the matter is, as much as I can`t stand the thought - look, I`d like to take "Girls Gone Wild" and any aspect of that off television.

This is a free society. We don`t want it any other way. We don`t want to live in a country where you say thing you say something the government doesn`t like, and they shoot you in the street.

We live in a wonderfully free society. Somebody`s going to make this kind of dreck, unfortunately. And as I said, we have that wonderful choice of saying, "No. I`m going to watch Carlos Diaz instead."

DIAZ: Oh, Pat, you know how to get to my heart. Pat, Michael, you guys are awesome. Thank you so much for joining us.

DIAZ: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz. And tonight, the "Survivor" murder mystery.

Brand-new developments tonight in the shocking case against the former "Survivor" producer who was accused of killing his wife in at a resort in Mexico, a crime that investigators say happened in the very same room the couple was sharing with their two young children.

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you a judge has ordered Bruce Beresford Redman to be extradited to Mexico and tried for murder. But with the only witness being his six-year-old daughter, could he actually be found guilty?

Joining me right now in Orlando, Jane Velez-Mitchell, who is the host of "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL" right her on HLN. And right now, in Hollywood, CNN Wire entertainment writer, Alan Duke, who has been covering this tragic story.

Now, Bruce`s wife, Monica, was found dead in a sewer near their posh resort. Other guests say they heard the couple arguing right before she was found dead. The couple was reportedly in Cancun to try to patch up their relationship after Bruce was caught cheating on her.

Instead, the entire trip ended in a nightmare. Bruce wanted to put a six- year-old daughter, his six-year-old daughter, on the stand to testify on his behalf. I`m happy to report that they are no longer going to do that.

Alan Duke, what made Bruce and his defense change their tune?

ALAN DUKE, ENTERTAINMENT WRITER, "CNN WIRE": It was a decision that was made just before the hearing started yesterday morning. Vicki Podberesky, one of the defense lawyers, met with the child and decided that she was into too much distress, it would be too upsetting.

But fortunately for the defense at least, the judge allowed the written statement, the affidavit by the counselor who had interviewed and talked to the child, asked her several questions, allowed that statement.

And so they debated as if she had testified without putting her on the stand. So they sort of got it in without having to put the child through the trauma of taking the stand.

DIAZ: Well, Jane Velez-Mitchell, a judge says there is enough evidence and probable cause that Bruce was responsible for this murder.

Now, you spoke, last night, with Monica`s attorney and sister. Are they optimistic they can win this case?

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, HOST, "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL": They are absolutely very optimistic, Carlos. And this family has waited so long for this moment. They are ecstatic that he is now being extradited back to Mexico to face these charges.

And as you mentioned, there`s a slew of evidence, suspicious life insurance policies, allegations of infidelity, witnesses who heard screams and yelling. I spoke to Alison Teresa(ph) last night on "ISSUES" about what they feel is a very strong case against Bruce.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Mexico put together a very good case, Jane. They really did. And they put a lot of resources into it and we think that he will be convicted.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. Now, one thing is important to point out. Mexico does not have the death penalty, so the maximum Bruce could get, if convicted, is 30 years behind bars. But that is a lot of time.

DIAZ: Yes, just a sad story all the way around, Jane. I want to move on to another incredible story making big news right now. The polygamists who star in TLC`s hit show, "Sister Wives" are fighting against the laws that make polygamy a crime.

They filed a lawsuit today that challenges Utah`s bigamy statute. They say when it comes to what happens in the bedroom, the state should butt out. Alan, do you think they`ve got a case?

DUKE: Well, we received the complaint today that is being filed in Salt Lake City. And whether they`ve got a case for basing it, they say it is the strongest case so far challenging the polygamy law.

They`re not asking for it to be legalized. They`re asking for the state not to criminally prosecute people who have polygamous relationships in their home saying it`s their constitutional rights to free relationships, free speech and due process.

And they say they should not be prosecuted criminally. They`re not asking for the right to actually legally get married.

DIAZ: Well, this family actually fled the state to avoid criminal charges. Jane, do you think their petition to essentially allow polygamy stands a chance?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, it`s a very complicated issue, but their basic argument is that these are consenting adults. They feel they`re not hurting anyone and they feel that the spirit of the United States is just to let people do what they want as long as they don`t interfere with the right of somebody else to do the same thing and as long as nobody is hurt in the process.

So who knows if that argument will be triumphant? But that`s the argument though that they`re expected to make.

DIAZ: Jane Velez-Mitchell and Alan Duke, great job as always. Thanks, guys.

All right. I`ve got to move on now to big "Harry Potter" news. Breaking today, the last film is already making box office magic before it even flies into theaters.

And Simon Cowell, poking fun at his old show "American Idol." And get this - CSI news, the surprising star taking over for Laurence Fishburne. It`s all making big news in the buzz today.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) CSI surprise. CBS has just revealed Ted Danson will be the new guy on CSI. Danson will play the show`s chief investigator replacing departing star, Laurence Fishburne. Danson, who is best known as Sam Malone from the classic sitcom, "Cheers," joins the drama when season 12 premieres in September in its brand-new Wednesday nighttime slot.

CBS says, quote, "Intelligence, wit, warmth, depth of character and emotion - he brings it all. And now, he`ll have to bring latex gloves, too."

Simon`s "Idol" smackdown. The very first "X-Factor" has been released by Fox. And in it, Simon Cowell`s new "X Factor" crew seems to think it has an edge missing from "American Idol."

The brand-new video imagines Cowell on a nicer "Idol" before featuring a collection of snarky comments and confrontations featuring Cowell and fellow judges Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger.

"Harry Potter`s" magical box office. "Harry Potter" fans have already spent an unbelievable $25 million on tickets to the final film days before the movie opens.

Warner Brothers is hoping "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" can smash all box office records by taking in more than $30 million from midnight showings, more than $73 million on its opening day and more than $159 million over its opening weekend.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Hugh Grant`s brand-new phone-hacking bombshells today. Hugh helped blow the lid off the "News of the World" phone-hacking controversy. And for the first time, he`s speaking out about it.

Rupert Murdoch shut down his tabloid, "News of the World" soon after Grant blew the whistle on the British paper`s phone-hacking operation that reportedly invaded the privacy of celebrities, politicians and even devastated the family of a missing 13-year-old girl who was later found murdered.

This morning, on the "Today" show, Hugh Grant spoke about the scandal plaguing Murdoch. And he told Matt Lauer why he thinks people on this side of the pond should be worried, too.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GRANT: I think people need to ask themselves, you know, who is this man who owns such a large part of our media?

And I think, you know, when you hear some the new allegations about who the "News of the World" was phone hacking may include - and I stress it`s just allegations at this stage - some of the 9/11 victims. Well, I don`t know, that may strike a chord with Americans.

DIAZ: Wow. Wow. So how did Hugh Grant get in the middle of all this? Well, CNN`s Richard Quest got the back story himself who says he played private investigator when he ran into a former "News of the World" executive turned bar owner.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GRANT: You know, I was in a pub in Dover and I dropped in for a pint and a chat. I bugged him. I bugged him back. I was wearing a wire and got him talking all this stuff again.

And I published it all in a British paper, "The New Statesman." And that was the beginning of my sort of obsession with this and my outrage because, you know, it`s one thing for there to be a very bad newspaper in the country.

But when you start to realize it`s not one, it`s all our tabloids who have been shockingly out of control for a long time.

And when you realize how much collusion there`s been from the police and how much collusion there`s been from our lawmakers, from our government, who need these tabloids, especially the Murdoch press to get elected, you start to think, I`m not proud of my country anymore. This is not the democracy I was proud of.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: This is all really bad news for Rupert Murdoch. He just got dropped a $12 billion bid for British Sky Broadcasting today as had phone-hacking scandal continues to grow.

The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines have been buzzing tonight. We asked you, should Hollywood make a Casey Anthony movie? Christina in Oklahoma says, no way.
