(MUSIC)
Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
TARYN WINTER BRILL, GUEST HOST: And I`m Taryn Winter Brill with big news breaking tonight - a hero`s suicide, the suicide of an Olympic skiing hero.
HAMMER: Yes. It seems almost incomprehensible. Three times - three separate times at three separate Olympics the entire world was watching as Jeret "Speedy" Peterson dazzled us with his skiing and brought home Olympic medals to the United States.
So why in the world would he kill himself at the age of 29? This is a suicide that, at first glance, seemed to just come out of nowhere. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the brand-new and disturbing details surfaced today that, sadly, point to the reasons why this Olympic hero would choose to take his own life.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over) The story is tragic enough. U.S. freestyle skier, Jeret "Speedy" Peterson, a silver medal-winning star at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, kills himself in Utah. He was only 29.
BLAINE ZUCKERMAN, STAFF WRITER, "PEOPLE" MAGAZINE: Jeret took his own life on Monday with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was found outside of his car where he had also left a suicide note. He also called 911 to let them know where they could find him.
HAMMER: But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you this is a tragedy that goes deeper than the tragic loss of a young man.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Natalie, we knew him pretty well.
HAMMER: This morning, the hosts of the "Today" show, who got to know Peterson while covering the winter games, emotionally talked about how saddened they were by his death.
NATALIE MORALES, CO-ANCHOR, THE "TODAY" SHOW: Over the years, since the Torino Olympics, I got know Speedy as a friend.
HAMMER: Especially Natalie Morales, who appeared to choke up reading a statement from a teammate of Speedy.
MORALES: He`ll be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was such a sweet young man, so charming.
ZUCKERMAN: He battled demons for a long time.
HAMMER: "People`s" Blaine Zuckerman tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Jeret Speedy Peterson`s life was one of great triumph and crushing hardships.
ZUCKERMAN: Throughout his life, Jeret struggled with a lot of issues, namely gambling, depression and alcoholism. Last week, Jeret was arrested for a misdemeanor drunk driving incident in Idaho.
MORALES: We would never know Speedy carried such an emotional burden.
HAMMER: As Natalie Morales remembers this morning on the "Today" show, she struck up a friendship with Speedy Peterson at the 2006 winter games in Torino, Italy.
JERET "SPEEDY" PETERSON, OLYMPIC SKIING SILVER MEDALIST: If my coaches knew what I was doing right now -
HAMMER: But those 2006 games in Torino ended in disappointment. Peterson failed to land his signature five-twist and three-flip jump, the hurricane. And the next day, he was sent home after a drunken fight.
PETERSON: I had some troubles with depression and suicide.
HAMMER: Right before his return to the winter games in 2010, he talked with Natalie Morales about his problems, which seemed to be in the past.
PETERSON: I don`t drink anymore. That was a huge one for me.
HAMMER: The 2010 games were huge for him, too. He nailed his patented hurricane jump and won the silver medal. And he was preparing for a life beyond sports.
ZUCKERMAN: He was trying to get a business degree at the time that he took his on life.
HAMMER: And now that his struggle is over, Peterson`s story seems to be touching everyone, even veteran professional journalists, from this Utah TV anchor -
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I covered the Olympics and Speedy is one of my all-time favorite Olympians.
HAMMER: To the anchors of the top-rated news show in the country, the "Today" show -
MORALES: Always charming, with a heart of gold.
PETERSON: I guess I`m just not good right side up. I have to be upside down. And I like being upside down in the air.
ZUCKERMAN: This is a young man that people really connected with. And so this tragedy is really resonating with Americans who feel like they`ve lost someone they knew and someone they could relate to.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Well, the chief executive of the U.S. Olympic Committee said that Speedy Peterson`s achievements, quote, "were an inspiration to people all over the world."
As we move on tonight, chasing Amy`s legacy. We`ve got remarkable news today about the obsession with Amy Winehouse just days after her death.
We learned that the album that rocketed her to stardom, "Back to Black," has sold more copies since she died on Saturday than in the past three years.
But does this mean she had will follow in the legendary footsteps of other members of the so-called "Forever 27 Club"? I`m talking about stars like Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison, who, like Amy, died when they were just 27 years old.
A brand-new movie is out on August 5th called "The Perfect Age of Rock `n` Roll" that talks about just that - the highs and lows of being a struggling musician at the age of 27. It stars Taryn Manning, and I spoke with her this afternoon for a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
(on camera): In "The Perfect Age of Rock `n` Roll," we see the struggling rock star really trying to recreate the success of his very first album and keep that success going.
Naturally, that makes me think of how Amy Winehouse was basically trying to do the same thing, keep her massive success going before she tragically died. Let take a little look at your film.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All the great ones died at 27 - Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison. Most men live lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: First of all, the film looks terrific. The soundtrack`s amazing and the jumping off point here is that the age 27 is really this profound number for musicians.
And of course, when Amy Winehouse died at 27, we were reminded of all the other music stars who died at 27 from Jim Morrison to Janis Joplin. Why do you suppose that number is so poignant in the lives of so many musicians who have died? Because for me, it can`t be a pure coincidence.
TARYN MANNING, ACTRESS: Yes. I mean, you know, I agree, like I don`t think it`s a coincidence. I don`t have the answer. It`s definitely ironic that so many of the most genius, in my opinion, artists have died at that age.
I`ve heard different things, like something about your brain peaking at 27. It`s kind of an age where like you`re kind of crossing over into your 30s and maybe you`re freaking out.
I mean, of course, drugs and alcohol and suicide played into a lot of these situations, and it`s just tragic. I`m a huge Amy Winehouse as well as Kurt Cobain. And yes, this whole situation has just been devastating.
HAMMER: Yes. I have to imagine after you`re working on this film, you`re getting set for its release.
MANNING: Yes.
HAMMER: And suddenly, you learn the news that, not only did Amy Winehouse die, but she died at the age of 27, which has everything to do with your film. You have to have been stunned.
MANNING: Well, what`s really ironic is we - you know, we made this film three years ago, you know. So this whole - the timing of this is just like - it`s unbelievable. And by no means are we trying to capitalize on Amy`s death.
HAMMER: Sure. Sure.
MANNING: It`s terrible. But it is so ironic that our film, "Perfect Age of Rock `n` Roll," is about sort of that age that we keep losing, you know, these brilliant artists.
I mean, of course, we`ve lost people at different ages like Michael Jackson, but why this number continues to happen - I don`t get it, you know.
HAMMER: Yes. And to be clear, it`s impossible to ignore. I don`t think anybody would accuse anybody of capitalizing on it.
MANNING: Right.
HAMMER: You just can`t ignore the fact that this just happened with Amy and your movie really speaks to the same sort of drama.
MANNING: Yes.
HAMMER: And there`s no doubt that the main character in this movie, Spider, really wants to be a musical legend. And let`s face it -
MANNING: Yes.
HAMMER: There are so many musicians who died so young that often achieved legendary status after they die.
MANNING: After they die -
HAMMER: And we asked this question in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. I want to run this by you. "Amy Winehouse: Does she deserve legendary status?"
Now, look at this. I just got the results today. I was really surprised by this. Only 15 percent said yes. A whopping 85 percent said no.
Now, granted Amy really only had her major success from one album, but are you surprised by that as well?
MANNING: Well, yes. I am surprised because I don`t know who voted but I think if it was - look, she`s a part of the younger generation, so maybe the older generation wouldn`t consider her a legend.
But she really paved the way in pop music for a new sound and had an incredible voice. And I would put her up there with the legendary talent. I mean, she had a lot of potential, you know, and left this earth way too soon. So I don`t agree. I think she deserves to be there.
HAMMER: Well, Taryn Manning, your film looks terrific -
MANNING: Thank you.
HAMMER: "The Perfect Age of Rock `n` Roll," and I really appreciate you being with us tonight.
MANNING: Absolutely. Thanks for having me.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Check out "The Perfect Age of Rock `n` Roll" when it hits theaters on August 5th nationwide.
BRILL: Well, moving on, A.J. - busted bliss. It`s the Hugh Hefner sex confession heard around the world. Crystal Harris spills on sex with (UNINTELLIGIBLE).
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Did you have an orgasm when Hef (EXPLETIVE DELETED) you?
CRYSTAL HARRIS, EX-FIANCEE OF HUGH HEFNER: No.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You did not. How long did this horror situation last, the actual sex?
HARRIS: Like two seconds.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BRILL: Oh, boy. Seriously, Crystal. First, you leave him at the altar and now, you kiss and tell? Well, Hef is not happy and he is striking back today.
HAMMER: Outrage tonight over a Casey Anthony Halloween mask. Are you kidding me with this thing? Would you pay $25,000 to look like Casey?
HARRIS: And fist-pumping Russian style. Is this the new "Jersey Shore"?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Russian women doesn`t take (EXPLETIVE DELETED) from anybody.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Don`t you (EXPLETIVE DELETED) (UNINTELLIGIBLE).
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BRILL: I don`t know about you. I`m not sure I can handle a Russian Snooki. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
HAMMER: Here comes the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: Jesse James awarded sole custody of seven-year-old daughter, Sunny. SHOWBIZ first look: "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" season 2.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Brandi, let me tell you something. You do not want to go there.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I will (EXPLETIVE DELETED) kill you!

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
BRILL: And I`m Taryn Winter Brill. Tonight, a special report, all aboard the TMZ Hollywood train wreck tour. Now, A.J., I`m sure you`ve heard about the Hollywood bus tours. They let you see where the stars live, eat, hang out - you name it.
HAMMER: Yes. It`s part of the culture of seeing Hollywood.
MANNING: Absolutely. It certainly is. But what about a bus tour that takes you to where the stars ruin their reputation? Celebrity Web site, TMZ, has been there for all of the big Hollywood train wrecks.
And now, the site wants to show you all the places where stars` careers have crashed and burned. Here`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter on board the TMZ bus tour.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: If you`re looking for a star bus tour that will give you an exclusive look at, say, George Clooney`s pad or take you inside Hollywood`s rich history, well, this is probably not the tour for you.
But if celebrity gossip and infamous Hollywood hotspots sound exciting, then the TMZ bus tour is your ticket, and SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has a front row seat.
(voice-over) Paris, Lindsay, Halle - just a few of the stars whose not-so- glamorous moments are relived on this cruise through Hollywood and Beverly Hills.
KEITH JORDAN, TMZ BUS TOUR GUIDE: We are going to take you guys out to where the celebrities are actually going to on a day-to-day basis, where they shop, where they eat, where they party, where they play, where they get in trouble sometimes.
WYNTER: And one of the first stops on the tour is not far from where Paris Hilton found herself in trouble some five years ago.
Back in 2006, Paris was stopped for suspicion of DUI on her way to this very In-N-Out burger restaurant. Paris never got that burger, but instead wound up at the police station in Hollywood.
JORDAN: Many celebrities temporarily call this place home.
WYNTER: Then there`s this place, a comedy club on Sunset Boulevard -
JORDAN: The world famous Laugh Factory.
WYNTER: Where "Seinfeld" star, Michael Richards, notoriously went on a racist rant during a standup routine five years ago.
MICHAEL RICHARDS, COMEDIAN: I`m very, very sorry.
WYNTER: Form Richards to Paris to Lindsay, TMZ`s coverage of stories like these made it the brand name it is today. And the man who started it all, TMZ head honcho, Harvey Levin, tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that`s why this is not your grandfather`s Hollywood bus tour.
HARVEY LEVIN, TMZ FOUNDER: While I was going through, I was thinking we did something there. We did something there. We did something there. And it`s like, why not put this together and do this as a show? It`s not a tour. It`s a show.
WYNTER: The show also takes us to this corner at Sunset and Courtney. It may not look like much, but remember what happened here?
JORDAN: Where one very famous celebrity almost killed his career.
WYNTER: That famous celeb, Hugh Grant. It was here in 1995 that Hugh Grant picked up a prostitute and was arrested on lewd conduct charges.
JORDAN: One very famous female celebrity got in a whole bunch of trouble right up here.
WYNTER: And trouble is exactly what Halle Berry ran into on Sunset Blvd. by Gil Turner`s liquor store where the TMZ bus tour reminds us Halle crashed her car 11 years ago after broad-siding another vehicle.
Halle famously fled and was later charged with leaving the scene of an accident. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the tourists on the TMZ bus couldn`t get enough of this.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It`s like seeing everything on TV, on TMZ and whatnot, and seeing where it actually happened.
(on camera) Probably a little bit more than you wanted to know about Lindsay and Britney and Paris.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. I didn`t expect to see where they all got busted and they all got booked. That`s pretty cool.
WYNTER (voice-over): Lindsay knows a thing or two about being booked.
JORDAN: But she does come to this location like every third Wednesday of the month.
WYNTER: Welcome to the Beverly Hills courthouse where Lindsay has been in and out more times than we can count. But the TMZ tour guide on this tour tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that, sometimes, it`s the unexpected that makes the ride unique.
JORDAN: I go from one moment of giving a tour to all of a sudden, someone in the back row going, "Oh, Keith! CeeLo`s outside." Grabbed the camera out there and interviewing CeeLo about like Britney Spears -
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You and Britney - you`re A-OK, right?
WYNTER: TMZ`s Harvey Levin is obviously A-OK with the tour, because like the people on board, you can`t get enough of this stuff.
(on camera) I`ve seen on there. You watch videos where you say you love it and I believe that.
LEVIN: I do and I`ll find bus and talk to the people and I`ll tell them how much we enjoy this thing. But I love this tour. I really, really love it. I mean, it`s kind of our version of producing a play.
WYNTER (voice-over): And given the never-ending flood of celebrities-gone- bad stories, this is one plate that is sure to have many more acts to come.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
BRILL: Indeed. I used to live in L.A. I loved that sort of thing. Incidentally, I just went on the TMZ Web site, and it says, get this, a two-hour tour is $49 for an adult and, hey, you can take the kids for $39 apiece. And hey, who wouldn`t want to take the kids to where Paris Hilton got her DUI? Duh. Got to love Hollywood.
HAMMER: I love it. But tonight, left at the altar. Hugh Hefner`s ex, Crystal Harris, speaking out saying sex with Hef lasted only two seconds. Nice.
And we`ve got the photos of Kristin Cavallari in her wedding dress taken just days before getting dumped. That`s no good. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with two stories of busted bliss.
BRILL: And the Old Spice duel of the century. The Old Spice guy in one corner, sex god, Fabio, on the other.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hello, Old Spice Guy.
ISAIAH MUSTAFA, "THE OLD SPICE GUY": This may in fact be the greatest Internet duel of all time.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BRILL: Who will win this spicy showdown?
HAMMER: Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: George Clooney, Madonna, Brad Pitt to debut new movies at Toronto Film Festival. SHOWBIZ first look: "New Year`s Eve" trailer.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: Something to get you (UNINTELLIGIBLE) New Year`s Eve.
ANNOUNCER: Then how do you explain the entire world coming together on one night?
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: New Year`s Eve, bro. We`re doing something.
ANNOUNCER: Celebrate the hope of a new year.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Time now for the SHOWBIZ buzz list - these are the things we can`t stop buzzing about this week. A & E`s "Storage Wars" is back. It`s the network`s most-watched show of all time.
Europe`s most buzzed about Spotify app, which lets you listen to millions of songs online, is on your phone now here in the U.S.
Well, this could be the book of the summer. We are reading Emma Donoghue`s "New York Times" bestseller, "Room."
Watch HLN and CNN without your TV. All you have to do is pull up your new app on a smart phone or tablet of your choice.
And we are buzzing about "Sarah`s Key," an emotional detective story starring the incredible Kristin Scott Thomas. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I find I`m so excited I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it`s the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Who can forget Morgan Freeman`s iconic voice in "Shawshank Redemption"? His buttery voice is definitely one of a kind, or so we thought.
A brand-new political ad is sparking a firestorm for using Freeman sound-alike. You have got to hear this ad that has now got the legendary actor just outraged today.
Now, Taryn, Morgan Freeman is definitely furious over this because it`s a political ad and it uses a narrator that sounds exactly like him.
BRILL: It`s incredible. He`s such an iconic voice - buttery. It`s your word. How did they find a sound-alike? I mean, it`s like James Earl Jones, one in a million.
HAMMER: It seems impossible, but this is a conservative political group called Citizens for a Strong America. And they found this sound-alike and they use this voice to trash Democrat Shelly Moore who is running for the Senate in Wisconsin. We`ve got to listen to this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ANNOUNCER: Here`s what Shelly Moore thinks about taxes. Moore and her union fought to overturn the reforms that had finally ended a decade of double digit property tax increases.
And Moore and her union support of government-run health care plan that would raise taxes by $510 a month for every Wisconsin worker and give free health care to illegal aliens. Moore. Taxes. Tell Shelly Moore when it comes to taxes, we want less, not more.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: That, to me, is uncanny. And to put it lightly, Freeman doesn`t like this at all. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT did reach out to Freeman today.
This is what his rep is telling us, "A political ad running in Wisconsin by a conservative group, narrated by someone trying to sound like Morgan Freeman, was not narrated by Mr. Freeman. Morgan Freeman did not narrate that ad."
So you see, he didn`t narrate the ad. And I totally get why he`d be so upset. I mean, I could not believe it when I heard it. I thought it was him.
BRILL: I actually did, too. But I mean, his voice is gold. Forget "Shawshank," "War of the Worlds" - all these movies. It`s not like he`s endorsing potato chips, A.J. This is a political ad, so you can see why he`s up in arms.
HAMMER: Yes. And this is guy who has openly endorsed Barack Obama in the past.
BRILL: Right.
HAMMER: But he also says he`s not a political guy and that he`s an actor, not a politician. I think this should be demanding that this thing be taken off. It will be interesting to see exactly where this goes.
BRILL: I totally agree.
HAMMER: Time now to move on to SHOWBIZ lineup.
BRILL: Absolutely. Here`s what`s coming up, A.J., at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Busted bliss. Hugh Hefner`s ex is dishing on their sex life.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Did you have an orgasm when Hef (EXPLETIVE DELETED) you?
HARRIS: No.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You did not. How long did this horror situation last for you, the actual sex?
HARRIS: Like two seconds.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BRILL: Oh, but who`s counting, right? Should Crystal Harris spill Hef`s sex secrets? Plus, Hef fired back today.
And just ahead, a Casey Anthony fright fest outrage over a Casey Anthony Halloween mask up for grabs on eBay. Would you bid $25,000 to look like Casey? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
HAMMER: And this is the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: Selma Blair gives birth to baby boy named Arthur. Taylor Swift to receive Ultimate Choice Award at Teen Choice Awards.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Big news breaking tonight on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - left at the altar. Tonight, Hugh Hefner`s runaway bride`s sex confession. She says sex with Hef lasted two seconds.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Did you have an orgasm when Hef (EXPLETIVE DELETED) you?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You did not. How long did the horror situation last?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Like two seconds.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Plus, Kristin Cavallari`s bridal bust. New photos revealed today of "The Hills" star in her wedding dress taken just days before she reportedly got dumped.
Tonight, outrage over a brand-new Casey Anthony Halloween mask. It`s selling for more than $25,000.
A Russian Snooki? Say it ain`t so. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with your first look at a show called "The Russian Jersey Shore."
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There are some real bitches on Brighton Beach.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Walk out right now if you don`t care.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: So how do you say "GTL" in Russian?
ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
BRILL: And I`m Taryn Winter Brill with big news breaking tonight - left at the altar.
HAMMER: Yes. It`s all about jilted brides and jilted exes tonight. First up, "Playboy" icon Hugh Hefner`s runaway bride is slamming him and their sex life in a brand-new interview. We`ve got Hef`s fired-up response today to their side of their sex life story.
Next up, a jilted pride rarely gets seen in her wedding gown. But unfortunately for "The Hills" star Kristin Cavallari, that nightmare scenario is her reality. The wedding dress pictures are out tonight, but the wedding is off.
Talk about busted bliss. And the results are in tonight from a brand- new poll asking men whether or not they would dump her girlfriend if she got fat. I cannot believe what those men said.
But first, let me begin with Hugh Hefner`s ex-fiancee, Crystal Harris who`s just slamming her sex life with Hef in a brand-new interview with Howard Stern in a Sirius XM satellite radio show. Now, sex with Hef, it lasted two seconds. Yes, two seconds.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
HOWARD STERN, RADIO HOST: Was it freaky when Hef took off his clothes and then you -
HARRIS: He doesn`t really take off his clothes. I`ve never seen Hef naked.
STERN: You only had intercourse once.
HARRIS: Yes.
STERN: No kidding. Don`t you think - in a way, were you like, "Gee, aren`t I sexy enough for this guy? Did you have an orgasm when Hef (EXPLETIVE DELETED) you?
HARRIS: No.
STERN: You did not. How long did the horror situation last?
HARRIS: Like two seconds.
STERN: Two seconds and Hef (UNINTELLIGIBLE)?
HARRIS: No. I was over it. I just like walked away. I`m not turned on by Hef. Sorry.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: All right. So maybe we don`t want to imagine what Hef is like in bed. But that`s funny today. I`m finding that a lot of people seem shocked that Crystal is kissing and telling about this. I`m not really sure what the big surprise is.
Let me go to Jenn Hobby, the co-host of "The Bert Show" on the radio.
So Jenn, whether or not we expected from Crystal, Should a woman simply never kiss and tell, especially when it comes to perhaps the most famous "Playboy" on the planet?
JENN HOBBY, CO-HOST: Exactly. I want to say, "Crystal who?" I mean, you cannot bite the hand that feeds you. Without Hugh Hefner, we have no idea who this woman is.
I just think she needs to keep her mouth shut, no more kissing and telling and get some advice from some of Charlie Sheen`s goddesses.
HAMMER: Yes. I don`t know. Now, we sort of do know who she is because she`s kissing and telling. Let me bring in radio host, Michael Billy. Michael, what`s going on? Is Hef like the sacred cow? Is it just wrong to dish that sex with Hef lasted all of two seconds?
MICHAEL BILLY, RADIO HOST: It is. It is. Here`s the thing. It`s a golden rule. You never talk about the sex life, especially when you`re engaged. It would have been passable as entertaining if it was somebody who might have been the same age as her. But given Hef`s age, my goodness, have a little respect and class.
HAMMER: All right. Well, Hef seems to have something to say about Crystal slamming their sex life. He gave a series of new tweets today. He put this up here.
Here`s how he responded, "Crystal lied about our relationship on `Howard Stern,` but I don`t know why. Maybe a new boyfriend? Crystal convinced me that she adored me. That was the first lie."
I`m not exactly sure here if Hef is heartbroken or really trying to protect his image as any man would do. I mean, somebody says two seconds, you`re going to probably want to fire back at that, I guess.
BRILL: I think he`s a little bit of both. I think he`s shocked and betrayed, and dare I say, A.J., I kind of feel a little sorry for the guy. A little bit.
HAMMER: I don`t think you need to feel too sorry for Hugh Hefner.
BRILL: Oh, no. A little bit. I feel for him. Well, from one jilted bride to another. I`ve got to move on to bad timing. Check out these brand-new pictures of Kristin Cavallari in her wedding gown that we revealed today in the new issue of "Life and Style" magazine which is out on newsstands right now despite the fact that her fiance just called off the wedding.
Yes. According to "Life and Style," a day after this very photo shoot, things turned sour when Kristin`s fiance, Jay Cutler, who, by the way, is a quarterback in the Chicago Bears, asks her to fly back to Chicago with him.
But she said she couldn`t because she was working on a new TV project. That`s when Jay reportedly realized Kristin wouldn`t be quitting her Hollywood career for him and dumped her.
Ouch! Now, Jenn, I want to go to you. Talk about awesome timing for Kristin. I mean, these photos are coming out. Do you think she`s embarrassed, or maybe she`s relieved they broke up now before they got hitched? What do you think?
HOBBY: Oh, I just feel terrible for her. She has to be embarrassed. But if you look at the look on her face in these photos, she seems pretty somber, if you ask me. Maybe she knew it was coming and just sort of hanging on to the hope that they would get married. But she doesn`t look like the bubbly, very happy bride in those photos.
BRILL: Yes. I think she`s a little shocked as we all are. When we caught up with Kristin, at the Hollywood premiere of "Something Borrowed," she had gushed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about how both of them knew this was meant to be right from the very beginning. Take a look.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KRISTIN CAVALLARI, REALITY TV STAR, "THE HILLS": There it is. He did get down on one knee. It was just the two of us and it was very romantic and very sweet. I honestly knew the minute I met him. It was just - we both knew that it was just different. It was very special from the get-go.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BRILL: Yes. Very special indeed, I guess. Michael, I want to go to you for a moment. That was then, this is now. Today`s new report claims Jay wanted Kristin to have children right away. But that`s something that she wasn`t ready to do. It sounds like, to me, at least, these two were miles apart in more ways than one. Is she better off despite these revealing wedding dress pictures?
BILLY: She`s absolutely better off. Here`s the problem -10 months. Know someone longer. They were in a long distance relationship and for a short amount of time in 10 months. Very simply, it looks like Goldie Locks got kicked out of another bear`s bed.
BRILL: Yes. But 10 months in Hollywood time is who knows how long? But A.J., I do want to say there might be some more proof today that men are from Mars and women are from Venus, as if we need more proof, I guess.
HAMMER: Yes. This is one of those deals that seem a little, I don`t know, politically incorrect. Or maybe it`s something that people don`t want to talk about or possibly even admit.
But "AskMen.com" just revealed the results of this brand-new poll. They asked men if they would dump their partner if they became fat - talking about women. Look at this - 48 percent said yes.
BRILL: Ugh. And it hurts me to the core. It`s gross. It`s absolutely unacceptable.
HAMMER: Let me go to Jenn Hobby. What do you think? Just horrifying, Jenn?
HOBBY: It is really, really shocking. I mean, you would think that men could be a little less shallow than this. Forty-eight percent of them would dump their girlfriend if they gained a little weight?
I think men need to turn the mirror around on themselves, too. I mean really? Are they going to hold themselves to that exact same standard they`re holding women to? I don`t think so.
HAMMER: Michael Billy, what do you think? Are men really shallow as this survey seems to imply?
BILLY: Well, let me defend men for one moment. I mean, how much weight are we talking, is really the question. Because - no, seriously, because, you know, when it comes down to it, I mean, there could be - if you`re an active man like myself, maybe you want to jog at night or jog in the morning, keep an active lifestyle.
And sometimes, someone who isn`t eating correctly or healthy or any of those things might not be able to keep up. So from that aspect, I could understand. It might be a lifestyle change.
HOBBY: I`m trying, OK? Please, don`t get angry at me.
HAMMER: All right. We`ll leave it there then. Michael Billy, Jenn Hobby, thanks so much. Like I said, it`s always that little thing.
BRILL: Yes. For you, maybe. All right. Well, move over Snooki, Sitch and Pauly D - or as I like to say "Pauly D." You`re about to get blown out of the water by a show being called a Russian version of the "Jersey Shore".
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Russian women don`t take (EXPLETIVE DELETED) from anybody.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Don`t (EXPLETIVE DELETED) worry about how other people (UNINTELLIGIBLE), (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BRILL: Ouch! Pass the vodka and set your DVR. We`ve got your very first look as the fists fly on "Russian Dolls"
HAMMER: Can`t wait. Also, outrage over this. It`s a brand-new Casey Anthony Halloween mask and it`s still July. This thing is selling for more than $25,000. We`ve got the new Casey drama, coming up next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Here comes the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard split after two years together. SHOWBIZ first look: New photos of the boys of "Hunger Games."
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I want to know that I`m having a great time.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You think your mother-in-law`s crazy? Mine thinks she`s 25.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: People are going to point at you, laugh at you. You`re going to be a joke.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BRILL: Well, it`s being called the Russian version of "Jersey Shore," a new reality show called "Russian Dolls" on Lifetime. And I can tell you the things that go on in Brighton Beach, the neighborhood in Brooklyn - they make fist-pumping downright quaint.
HAMMER: Nice. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Taryn Winter Brill. And move over, "Jersey Shore." Forget about GTL. The Russians are coming.
BRILL: They certainly are, A.J. It`s time for VTM - vodka, techno, and meddling mothers. I guess that would be VTMM. Anyhow, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT got a first look today at "Russian Dolls" and it could blow "Jersey Shore" right out of the water.
HAMMER: But first, Casey`s mask madness. Yes, tonight, there`s actual outrage over a Casey Anthony mask that was shown today on eBay with a bidding already topping - are you ready - $25,000. $25,000 - are you kidding me?
Right here in New York, Rob Shuter, who writes "Pop Eater`s" "Naughty But Nice" column, and Atty. Midwin Charles of Midwin Charles and Associates.
People are furious that somebody is about to cash in, in such a major way on this Casey Anthony masks. I can tell you there are six of them for sale on eBay.
I`m not going to bid on any of them, but there is a frenzy to get a hold of them. When, the ladies of "The View" heard about the mask madness this morning, they went wild. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": It was the most disgusting and vile thing. I think you are dishonoring the memory of little Caylee Anthony. You`re going out at night when you`re taking your kids out. I open up the door and I see this. You`d better be careful wearing that mask because a lot of folks don`t like this woman.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Sherri`s definitely got that right. But Rob, is this just tasteless? Can this be justified at all other than, you know, good old American capitalism?
ROB SHUTER, COLUMNIST, "POP EATER.COM": It`s tasteless, but it is capitalism and people have bid on it, $25,000. Six of these have been made. And if you don`t like it, don`t bid on it. But I do think it`s certainly going to make a very Halloween costume.
HAMMER: That`s a lot of money, $25,000, right now. Let me put that in perspective for you. Let me show you what $25,000 can buy you. You can get a new car for your family.
Perhaps you can pay for your child to go to a public university for four years. Or if you really want to blow all the cash, why not do what I would do and spend a week at a private underwater bungalow in Fiji perhaps. Or perhaps you could just go nuts and buy that Casey Anthony mask. Midwin Charles, who in the world do you imagine would spend so much money on this thing?
MIDWIN CHARLES, ATTORNEY, MIDWIN CHARLES AND ASSOCIATES: You know, I don`t know. Maybe some of the people who lined up for hours to get into court and watched the actual trial. I mean, there are so many people who have been fascinated by this trial and for a lot of reasons.
But listen, I agree with the other gentleman on this show. It`s capitalism at its finest. There will always be someone who wants to profit off of someone`s misery or life experience and this is exactly what we`re seeing.
HAMMER: Hey, ain`t that America. All right. Let`s move on now to something else that`s got big buzz today. The Russian "Jersey Shore." And Taryn, this thing - I took a look at it earlier today.
BRILL: Right.
HAMMER: It makes Snooki look kind of sedate and peaceful and Zen-like.
BRILL: Did you really think that was possible to make Snooki look sedate?
HAMMER: No.
BRILL: Well, it`s happening. But I do want to say that half of my family is Russian, actually, A.J. So if - I can guarantee one thing on this show. There`s going to be a lot of pierogi, borscht and vodka or as my Russian cousins like to say, "wodka." We need a lot of "wodka."
HAMMER: PBV.
BRILL: Yes. Like you said, exactly. All right. Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is revealing a first look at "Russian Dolls." It`s going to premiere on Lifetime next month. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Really?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: In Russian culture, the man is the man.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I don`t give a flying (EXPLETIVE DELETED)?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Russian women don`t take (EXPLETIVE DELETED) from anybody.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Don`t you (EXPLETIVE DELETED) worry how I`m going to pay for my loans, (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Gossip, gossip. That`s how every single Russian girl is.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There are some real (EXPLETIVE DELETED) on Brighton Beach.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Walk out right now if you don`t care.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BRILL: Wow. That is not the Brighton Beach I know. And a lot of Russian Americans incidentally are afraid the show portrays some serious negative stereotypes about them.
Now, Rob, we heard the same thing from the Italian Americans when "Jersey Shore" first came out. Do people just need to take a chill pill here?
SHUTER: Take a chill pill.
BRILL: All right.
SHUTER: It entertainment and it`s really funny. I`ve actually seen a couple of clips of this and it`s so nutty that if anyone takes this seriously, the joke is on them. It really is a funny, silly, silly show that`s probably going to get huge ratings.
BRILL: I like how you said that, Rob. Nutty. It feels better when you say it than when I do. Well, the cast for "Russian Dolls" aren`t just 20- somethings who are fist-pumping for the first time.
You`ve got 22-year-old girls and 47-year-old women. Now, Midwin, should Snooki and the gang be worried that these Russian dolls could possibly steal their Jersey fun? Or does this look like some borscht badness?
CHARLES: Well, you know, it`s a possibility. But what this does is kind of open up the door to an entirely different culture that we rarely see on TV. It`s the Russian culture.
BRILL: Five seconds. All right. All right. Thanks very much, guys. I`ve got to wrap it there. Rob Shuter, Midwin Charles, thanks.
HAMMER: Moving now to a revelation from the real "Jersey Shore." Tonight, Angelina is actually blaming her miscarriage on the media. Also, Alec Baldwin goes on a thong-wearing Twitter tirade. And now that gay marriage is legal in New York, is Neil Patrick Harris getting hitched? We`ve got new details revealed in "The Buzz Today."
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over) Wedding bells for Neil Patrick Harris? The "How I Met Your Mother" star is setting the record straight about whether he and longtime love, David Burtka, will tie the knot. Harris told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" that they aren`t getting hitched just yet.
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS, ACTOR: We have no plans to. I mean, we`ve had rings on our right hand for five years. We proposed to each other separately at different times, ages ago.
And we were going to get married in California and that we got sort of - Prop 8 happened. We have contemplated it here. But probably, if you say, like, yes, we`re planning a wedding, then it becomes a great big giant thing. We`re certainly not planning a wedding, but we think it`s amazing that 800 and some odd people got married yesterday.
HAMMER: The couple welcomed the twins, Harper and Gideon earlier this year. A "Jersey Shore" miscarriage revelation.
Former "Jersey Shore" star, Angelina Pivarnick, says that the media is to blame for her recent miscarriage. Angelina spoke out on Fr. Albert Cutie`s syndicated show, "Fr. Albert."
ANGELINA PIVARNICK, FORMER "JERSEY SHORE" CAST MEMBER: Everybody in the tabloids, in the media, they weren`t really leaving me alone about it. They say they wanted it to be my personal business ant it really wasn`t.
And it was really hard and I went through a lot of stress and I wound up losing the baby.
Alec Baldwin`s thong confession? Famous funnyman Alec Baldwin just went on a Twitter tweet-a-thon answering questions from his fans. But none drew as much attention as this one from a follower who asked Alex "briefs or boxers?" His response, "thong."
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Oh, good. Now, Taryn, Alec`s scandalous tweet-a-thon did not end there, did it?
BRILL: No, it certainly did not, A.J. Somebody actually asked Alec this question as well. Listen to this. They write, "How do you take your coffee?" Alec answered, "Like my women - expensive and bitter." Hilarious. My take on that tweet, A.J., I think he`s a Starbucks man with extra foam. What do you think?
HAMMER: Well, here`s the thing. You know, everybody is sort of getting on Alec. Why are you putting so much information out there? He`s shooting a Woody Allen movie overseas right now. He`s got a lot of time in his hands.
BRILL: That`s true.
HAMMER: What else is he going to do? So he`s talking to the fans and I appreciate that.
BRILL: Why not?
HAMMER: Moving on now, is the Old Spice guy getting the boot? The guy who shot to fame in this viral and hysterical Old Spice commercials is now at war with Fabio for the sexy domination.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hello, Old Spice guy.
MUSTAFA: This may in fact be the greatest Internet duel of all time.
(END VIDEO CLIP)

ISAIAH MUSTAFA, OLD SPICE GUY: This may, in fact, be the greatest Internet duel of all-time., G-I-D-O-A-T.
MOOS: Did he say duel?
FABIO: Duel?
MUSTAFA: Duel. Mano-a-mano in el bano.
MOOS: Isaiah Mustafa became the undisputed face of Old Spice -
MUSTAFA: Look out, back up, where are you? You`re on a boat with the man your man could smell like.
MOOS: When he broke through with this commercial almost a year and a half ago. But now, the campaign could use some new sparkle.
FABIO: Hello, ladies. Don`t look at your man, look at me, your new Old Spice guy, Fabio.
MOOS (on camera): Sure this is nothing but an advertising gimmick. We all know Fabio`s probably going to lose. This duel is just free advertising for their advertising.
(voice-over) But when the upstart is a golden-maned Blister most famous romance novels like "Rogue" and fake butter commercials, you`d better believe we`ll cover the manufactured duel.
MUSTAFA: And may the best Old Spice guy win. Night vision top hat.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
BRILL: And that was CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. A.J., I`ve already cast my vote online. Hands down, it`s the Old Spice guy. It`s a given.
HAMMER: You`re right there with millions and millions of people. Apparently, the Old Spice guy is just slaying Fabio in this fake duel. And I`m thinking maybe Fabio should be sticking to the fake butter commercials.
BRILL: Yes.
