TV`s most provocative entertainment show breaks news right now. Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big news breaking tonight. Showbiz marriage madness -- Katy Perry Divorcing Russell Brand, Jennifer Lopez versus Marc Anthony. It is crazy out there, I tell you, just crazy. And I have to say, if you happen to be a divorce attorney in Hollywood these days, I`m thinking 2012 is going to a banner for you.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned today about some brand new wild developments in the biggest star divorce wars, including nutty stuff about pre-nups and a real life war of the roses. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the dirty divorce details.

On this first week of the new year, I bet you there are some stars who probably wish their old acquaintances could be forgot and never brought to mind. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you as 2012 gets underway, there are a ton of stars going through some epic, major, and sometimes bitter divorces.
DAX HOLT, PRODUCER, TMZ: This is literally just the time for everyone to be separating. It seems like every day we`re reporting a new divorce.
HAMMER: The biggest split by far, actor/comedian Russell Brand filing for divorce from pop star Katy Perry after a little over a year of marriage. Russell and Katy announced their divorce just before New Year`s weekend.
HOLT: Our sources are telling us the reason they broke up is they were infatuated with each other when they first got married, fully in love. It seems like opposite does attract in this case. Then they started to grow apart. They spent a lot of time away from each other it is and hard to take a toll on their relationship.
HAMMER: And today everybody is asking, will Katy Perry lose half her estimated $40 million fortune to Brand, especially if they don`t have a pre-nup as Russell Brand has said? TMZ`s Dax Holt tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, don`t expect a nasty money battle here.
HOLT: We`re hearing there is no bitterness between the two of them. I don`t think this will be one of their divorces where they`re trying to split assets.
HAMMER: Another big divorce, Deion Sanders and his wife Pilar of 12 years. The two starred together in the reality show, "Deion and Pilar -- Primetime Love." But now Deion smells divorce. The two are starring in a real life version of the war of the roses. They`re splitting their house.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Why don`t you let her have the house?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I got more square footage.
HOLT: The interesting thing is they`re still living under the same roof together. Keep in mind this is a 29,000 square foot home. It has 10 bedrooms, 109 acres, so they might not be seeing much of each other. But there are no plans of her moving out.
HAMMER: And while Deion and his ex live uncomfortably under the same roof, Deion`s daughter Deiondra is lashing out at her soon to be ex-stepmom via Twitter.
HOLT: She went to twitter and started blasting Pilar, saying she was a horrible stepmother, that she was only in it for the publicity, that she had been seeing other guys. And then to cap off all her twitter rants, she did hash-tag "gold-digging ho."
HAMMER: Speaking of athletes, over the holidays Kobe Bryant announced his split from his high school sweetheart and wife of 10 years, Vanessa. The two have managed to hold on for years after he was accused of rape back in 2003. The charges were later dropped.
KOBE BRYANT, NBA PLAYER: I`m furious at myself for making the mistake of adultery.
HAMMER: But now the big question, who got the $4 million apology ring Kobe bought his wife after that whole sandal? We don`t know but reportedly, they do. TMZ tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they reached a financial settlement.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It seems like she really wants to make this as easy a process as possible.
HAMMER: The other big divorce we`re keeping an eye on of course is Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. The couple, who now have been separated almost as long as they were married, have yet to finalize their divorce, but they`re moving on. Kris is back to playing basketball for the New Jersey Nets with the new one-year contract worth a reported $8 million. And Kim is back to her old ways as well hosting a party at a Vegas nightclub where she talked to "Us Magazine" about what she`s learned from her wild year.
ALBERT LEE, EDITOR, "US MAGAZINE": "Us Weekly" sat down in Las Vegas on New Year`s Eve. Now she says she`s looking forward to a fresh start in 2012. And she said to us that "I just want to spend 2012 learning from the lessons of 2011."
HAMMER: Good advice for everyone, including all divorcing celebrities.

HAMMER: Talk about celebrity marriage meltdown madness. I have to say that a lot of people were completely blindsided by that news that Katy Perry and Russell Brand are already calling it quits on their marriage. Count me among them. When I heard the news, I thought are you kidding me? So soon?
In fact, so many of these marriage meltdowns have us asking, are you kidding me? So let me take this to a real housewife star. With me tonight in New York is Kyle Richards who of course stars in "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." Kyle has this fantastic new book out. It is called "Life is not a Reality Show." Also in New York is Vicki Zeigler, a family attorney.
So you have Katy and Russell done, kaput. I think they started their marriage off the right way. They chose to keep their wedding pictures private, which I thought was a good move. Katy revealed in the June 2011 issue of "Vanity Fair" why they kept them private. Here`s what she said. "The press is not your friend when it comes to marriage. That`s why we didn`t sell the pictures of our wedding, and we got offered millions of dollars for them. Millions." So they kept the photos private. They kept the details about the marriage private, too.
I have to tell you, a lot of people said how could this possibly last with a crazy man like Russell Brand as a lot of people call him. Did you see this coming? Are you saying are you kidding me?
KYLE RICHARDS, STAR, "REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS": I did not see it coming but I am a shocked? No. I do think they should sell them now. That way he won`t have to take her money.
HAMMER: That would be a good move. We have to talk about that, because obviously there is a lot of money at stake here. Katy is worth an estimated $40 million. Now even though they were married, as you might remember, in this lavish ceremony in in 2010, they also married in California. That is the land of 50/50. Couples have to split their assets right down the middle. There was a report today that there was no pre-nup. That means Russell could get, you know, half, $20 million. Vicki, are you kidding me? No pre-nup? Any celebrity couple it would seem to me, don`t call me not romantic but they should have a pre-nup.
VIKKI ZIEGLER, FAMILY ATTORNEY: You really can`t erase stupid. Everybody in Hollywood, and forget about the mass population of people getting divorced. It is about in the 50 percent for the first time marriage. In Hollywood it is almost impossible to stay married for any prolonged period of time, what about protection? I don`t know why they wouldn`t do it unless it was for religious reasons. There are reports that Katy Perry`s family is religious and maybe it was something that she didn`t feel comfortable doing.
Putting that aside, there is a separation between church and state, meaning it doesn`t matter what your religious differences are. If you`re going to get divorced with no pre-nup in California, 50/50.
HAMMER: You`re going to open up a whole other can of worms if you`re going to talk about the religion and not religion. The reports that were going around that I saw, and I don`t know if there`s any truth to that, was that it was Russell who filed for divorce because of Katy`s religious beliefs. Who really knows? I see this as a case where you should have a pre-nup.
RICHARDS: It is very unromantic though.
HAMMER: There is no question about that, but look at them now.
How is this for are you kidding me? We just learned that former NFL star Deion Sanders and his soon to be ex-wife Pilar Sander, who you may have seen starring in their own reality show, they are living under the same mansion roof. They own a gargantuan house more than 29,000 square feet. It has like 10 bedrooms. Are you kidding me? How are they going to pull this off? This is a real life war of the roses here. How long can this last?
RICHARDS: That is a pretty big house. I don`t think that will last long at all. There`s no way you can live under the same roof no matter how big the home is. What do you think?
ZIEGLER: No way. Let me tell you why. You come home with somebody. Say Deion starts dating somebody and he brings this young lady home. How irate would Pilar be? It doesn`t work.
HAMMER: You put some drywall right down the middle.
ZIEGLER: Somebody is watching the driveway.
HAMMER: Let me get to this marriage mess. NBA star Kobe Bryant`s wife Vanessa divorcing him after ten years, reportedly fed one his wandering eye. We remember in 2003 she was right there by Kobe`s side when he was accused and acquitted of rape charges. And then he gave her that $4 million exotic diamond ring. What do you think, Kyle? Should she keep it?
RICHARDS: Of course she should keep it. It was a gift. It`s hers. It`s hers. Absolutely.
HAMMER: You don`t think it is so symbolic of that time and all that that as a grand gesture she should say here you go?
RICHARDS: No way. It`s hers.
(LAUGHTER)
HAMMER: Legally speaking, as our lawyer on retainer?
ZIEGLER: It was a gift which means it was given to her with the intent for her to keep it.
HAMMER: Fair enough.
And talk about marriage messes, Kyle. What`s the deal with your "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" co-star Brandi Glanville? She jets off to Vegas. She gets married in this quickie ceremony. Don`t answer, stay where you are. I need to get your take on that in just a moment.
We move on tonight to reality TV queen Khloe Kardashian getting punked. She may be used to the cameras but she never expected this from her friend Miley Cyrus.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, fighting dirty. Kim and Kris will face off in what could very well be an ugly battle over big bucks in this new year. It is a good thing they don`t have kids. That`s not the case for Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. There are reports tonight they are already at war over their twins after their big split.
Back with me now is "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kyle Richards. She has a fantastic new book called "Life is not a Reality Show." Also joining me is Vicki Zeigler, who is a family attorney.
I want to begin with Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. J-Lo`s 24 year old boyfriend Casper Smart was photographed playing with her three year old twins. Now there are brand new reports saying Marc Anthony saw those pictures and now he wants J-Lo to suffer. I`m thinking, J-Lo dating again? That`s great. Letting her young boyfriend play with the kids in public when you know there will be pictures, that`s how you light a fire under this custody battle. Kyle, do you think this was a bad move?
RICHARDS: I think it was a bad move. I think that introducing your kids to someone that soon is a bad move in general. Whether there are cameras or not, I think it is way too soon for the kids to be meeting him.
HAMMER: It`s a shame that if the timing was right, we don`t really know what`s going on, that he can`t do that. That`s having life in the public eye.
I want to fire up our next marriage in madness 2012, Usher and his ex Tameka Raymond. This has been ugly all along. Now they`re battling over their kids. She`s filed for full custody of the two children. She claims he is not complying with the custody arrangement, that he`s used drugs. And she`s complaining he stripped her of her Sax Fifth Avenue credit card. The horror. Usher denies all of these claims and just asked a judge to reject her request for full custody. Vicky, is he in bad shape or does he have a shot here at getting full custody?
ZIEGLER: There are serious allegations, but in order to lose full custody, you have to prove you`re unfit or you`ve done drugs near proximity or away from the child that somehow would be harmful to the child. So right now, it looks like if he comes to court and says, listen, I`ll take a drug test. I`m clean. I`m a great parent. There is no way we should do anything but shared parenting, he could come out smelling like roses. But it is all about proof when you go into the courtroom.
HAMMER: I`m always repeating myself in cases where there are young kids. I just hope they can keep it civil.
RICHARDS: It is bothers me so much when they start fighting over children. It should never be like that. Never.
HAMMER: They need to get back to that place. We were in love once. These children hopefully could be conceived in love.
But I don`t think it is possible to talk about marriage madness without talking about Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian. After 72 days of matrimony, millions at stake. Kris Humphries just signed an $8 million contract with the New Jersey Nets. Kim is reportedly worth $35 million. And supposedly, there was a pre-nup. Kyle, do you think that Kris should get a big cut of this, a possible payout despite that there is a pre-nup?
RICHARDS: I don`t think Kris should get any of Kim`s money. They were together 72 days. If they made money from their wedding then I think that he should.
HAMMER: What about the fact that a lot of people are saying, he was sort of a pawn in her whole scheme. So why not cash in?
ZIEGLER: I think the moral concept perhaps maybe. But from a legal perspective, most likely he`s going to walk away with whatever he came into the marriage with. If there was any money, you`re right, that would be divided from the wedding money. Other than that, unless he wants the annulment. He wants to say that this marriage was perpetrated on a fraud.
HAMMER: And she won`t let that happen.
I want to move on to a different kind of marriage madness because in the new year we have your "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" co-star Brandi Glanville getting hitched in Vegas, sending out these reportedly drunken tweets. She claims she was. Stay right here.

NISCHELLE TURNER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT: Well, A.J., Demi will appear fully clothed by the way as the ultimate feminist Gloria Steinem. It is about porn star Linda Lovelace. And Moore will take on a cameo role of Steinem who was very critical of the porn business back in the 1970s.
HAMMER: I think this works. I think Demi Moore in this role as a powerful woman, in this movie is a great choice. What do you think?
TURNER: Yes, yes, yes I agree with you 150 percent yes. I think she can totally pull this off. Just remember, back when she had us believing she was G.I. Jane. Remember that? Watch.

TURNER: Elton John says a biopic based on his life is in the works. His number one choice is the very talented Justin Timberlake. Elton says Justin is his top pick because he played him before in a music video a few years back and, in his words, was superb.
HAMMER: I think Justin is a great choice. He can sing and act and I`m sure Elton had that as a factor. They don`t look alike at all. I have a bit of a hard time picturing that.
TURNER: You`re right. This is he Elton`s pick. I`m sure he doesn`t mind a great looking guy playing him. The movie will only go until 1990 when Elton first went to rehab. So the movie would be about a younger Elton John. Don`t we all fantasize about having a young good looking person play us in a movie?
HAMMER: I can see where Elton was on to Justin for this. Thanks, Nischelle, appreciate it.

Tonight you got punked. The set-up, the target, none other than a Kardashian. Wait until you see what happens when Kim K.`s little sister Khloe got completely punked in really the most embarrassing way. All of it is caught on tape. I want to you picture this if you can. A delivery guy gets his privates caught in his zipper as the unsuspecting Khloe Kardashian is the one who has to call 911. This is a first look at the all new season of MTV`s prank show "Punked." With me from Hollywood is Nischelle Turner. What is the story behind this outrageous prank?
TURNER: You know, A.J., Khloe certainly doesn`t seem to be easily stressed out, but I can tell you, this brand new episode of "Punked" got her nerves on edge. The new season of "Punked" doesn`t officially kick off until March, but tonight SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can give you this first look of exactly what happened when Miley Cyrus and Kelly Osbourne pulled one over on Khloe.

HAMMER: We have to give credit where credit is due here. Khloe, how totally cool was she under that pressure there?
TURNER: Yes, she was. Lots of credit goes to her there. And my next crisis, I want Khloe Kardashian around because she just very methodically get it taken care of. She was great.

HAMMER: Terrific. Nice going.
Let`s move on, may we? Before we go, actually, there is something I do want to show you. I want to cleanse our minds` eye if you will. Can we put up this picture? Khloe posted some old family photos on her blog. This picture shows Khloe the blond hair. I can`t believe that`s her. What do you think? Khloe as a blond? Khloe as a brunette?
TURNER: Actually, I`m going to take door number 3. I like her as a redhead. Do you remember for a hot second she was a redhead? I thought she looked fierce. I loved it. If I have to pick between a blond and a brunette, definitely brunette all the way. I`m not feeling the blond.
HAMMER: Who knew we had door number three at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

TURNER: Exactly.

Reality TV fans are loving that Khloe Kardashian prank. But some people, not so thrilled about what could be a prank of a different sort from "Real Housewives" star Brandi Glanville. So Brandi set the Twitter- verse on fire by posting this picture with this picture, she announced she is tied the knot again. This happened in a sudden Vegas ceremony. I have to say this was really a shocker. To me, to so many people, after that very nasty public divorce from Eddie.
Tonight, "Housewives" fans are asking, what was she thinking? I`m thinking who better to shed some insight on all of this than a "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast mate Kyle Richards. She is with me tonight. This is Kyle`s new book. It is terrific. It is called "Life is not a Reality Show." I`m going to get your take on what`s going on with Brandi in a moment.

HAMMER: It is crazy to me that she was doing this. I don`t know what the real story is. Maybe you do. Let me ask you about your new book first. It is about finding love and holding on to that special love in your life once you get it. Great tips in here. You have got to know that your advice about cheating, that has to be stirring the pot. I have to imagine people are calling you out on this. You say in the book, Kyle, as you well know. If you cheat once, keep it to yourself. Really? Am I missing it?
RICHARDS: Yes. It is an isolated incident I was talking about and I`m certainly not promoting cheating in any way, shape or form. My husband knows what would happen to him if he or I did. It was a situation. I know a couple people this happened with. It was an isolated incident. I said, I sat her down and I said, I know that you`re in love with him. This is a mistake. As long as you did not put his life in jeopardy by not being safe, I would deal with it yourself and god and not say. She wanted to say to him this is what I did. It would have ruined her life. They are together many years later. I was referring to that. I`m not promoting cheating. I`m not talking about repeat offenders either.
HAMMER: Are you suggesting every time if somebody cheats just once, they`re better off not bringing it up?
RICHARDS: I think if it was an honest mistake I think there are certain times when you might want to just --
HAMMER: It`s a case by case basis. I`m trying to get that out of you. I don`t want to hear you say keep it to yourself. I believe in honesty.
RICHARDS: Case by case.
HAMMER: You are the voice of reason. You tend to be most of the time on the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." You look like you got it all together. I know you can`t wait to get back to your family and your kids. You have a happy marriage. A lot of your personal life playing out on the show. We don`t see every moment. Your book is entitled "Life is not a Reality Show." How different is your life from what we do see on the show?
RICHARDS: I`m putting my life out there but only parts are shown. That`s why the title, "Life is not a Reality Show." There is so much more than what you see on the show. I am a very open person. So what you see is what you get with me on the show. But there is obviously a lot more. That`s why I wanted to write the book and talk about relationships and how to have a great marriage, how to find the right guy and how to keep him. The show is definitely very real. You see everybody for who they are, even if it is just sometimes parts of us.
HAMMER: One of the thing we see is there is no love lost between you and your cast mate Brandi Glanville. I`m sure you get along just fine but you get the feeling maybe you`re not each other`s favorite person. So let`s talk about the big news. I`m thinking she should have read your book for some relationship advice. May I read a message she tweeted to her fans? She wrote this. "Yes, I`m married. Get over it. After some beer and strippers, he is now my husband. No joke. We`re married, but to make it legal I have to go to the courthouse today and I don`t think we`re gonna. Super fun though." So she said she is married but it sounds like she is not going to stick with it. Did this catch you by surprise in any way?

RICHARDS: On one hand, not at all. But yes, I`ll bet Kim and Kris are happy about this. I think it was a drunken stupor and really a bad move. I think that she`s probably a little embarrassed now. We are actually OK now. I think that was a little embarrassing. Ouch. I did laugh.

HAMMER: I know you`ve got a reunion show coming up. Do you think it`s time after this for Taylor to take a break from reality TV?
RICHARDS: I think this happened after we were filming any way so she has been taking this time while we have been on hiatus, or down from filming. But it has been very sad. It`s horrible. A lot of these reality shows are scripted or lightly scripted. And our show is very much real in dealing with the real situations.
HAMMER: And it`s hard to watch sometimes, what happened with her husband Russell ultimately committing suicide.

The secret of this is to be able to see history happening. That one little section of history and record it accurately. That`s what we`ve been doing, recording the history of Hollywood frame by frame for 19 years. We`ve got everything from the Eddie Murphy with the transvestite hooker and the cops, the Jim Carey wedding on the side of the mountain.
The number one story on all network news. We live off our exclusives. We get stuff no one else gets. Prices being paid for video and stills has dropped drastically since the large corporations moved in and took over these paparazzi companies. We`re struggling to survive. I`m in foreclosure now in my house. I`m behind on bills. I`ve never been this way in the 30 years I`ve been doing this. I`ve always been ahead.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`ve been doing this close to 20 years. It has definitely changed. I think the main thing is just too many paparazzis. And that drives the prices down. I used to be able to make $15,000 a month easily. Now if you can make $3,000 or $4,000, it`s tough sometimes.
Here`s the park right here. Gwen Stefani comes here and Heidi Klum. You`ll see a bunch of paparazzis to the left just hanging out, a line of Priuses. Back 10 years ago, we would shoot Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson, you know, all these big celebrities. And then it kind of changed and people were kind of interested in shooting Paris Hilton.
WOODY: Celebrity and fame used to be based on talent and skills. Today it seems to be based on how much publicity you can generate. You can`t buy a great picture. You have to take a great picture.

HAMMER: You heard him right. That was GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney comparing President Obama`s promises to the vows that Kim Kardashian made on her last wedding day. Could Kim K. Be a factor in the presidential election? Just when you thought Kim Kardashian had all but exhausted her reaches as a reality TV star she finds herself smack in the middle of, yes, the presidential campaign.
Back with me is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner. Is Kim K. going to have some influence on the presidential election?
TURNER: You know, I don`t know, A.J. I`m not sure if Kim would want to be part of the presidential election. It does seem to be happening whether she like it or not. Who really knows how long the controversy will last. But the Kardashians are sure a lightning rod. Let`s not forget. Let`s not forget Romney isn`t the first candidate to compare a reality TV star to the president. Take a look at a John McCain ad from 2008.

TURNER: So it seems that Romney is taking a page out of McCain`s playbook, but that might not be such a smart thing, because, as we all know, McCain didn`t win.
HAMMER: Exactly. And I`m sitting here thinking, Romney doesn`t know who Kim Kardashian is. That is the work of a speechwriter or something like that. All right, Nischelle, thanks so much.
Moving now to Brad and George. Tonight there is new evidence of a brouhaha brewing between Brad Pitt and George Clooney. And that is next.

HAMMER: While we`re all getting over our New Year`s hangovers, Hollywood is still ready to party because it`s awards season, of course. First up the Golden Globes. Brad Pitt and George Clooney on the war path. Who will come out on top? We asked to you vote in our exclusive poll. Moments ago I was handed the final results. Look at this. Brad Pitt and George Clooney earned Golden Globe nominations for best actor. Who would win? And 44 percent of you say George will get the award, 21 percent of you say Brad Pitt. But look at this other result. I find this pretty astonishing that 35 percent say neither of these guys. We`ll see who is right. Golden Globes happen on January 15th.
