Paula Abdul, out. Fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger, out. Host Steve Jones, fired. And clue Simon dropped to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big news breaking tonight - Cowell in crisis. Today, Simon Cowell had to be eating what had to be one huge, horrible-tasting slice of humble pie.
Now, to say that Simon has just blown up the show that he once bragged would be as big as "American Idol," that would be a huge understatement.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is bringing to you the remarkable untold story just how Simon has just cleaned house on his show, the "X Factor." Just about everyone was shown the door, including his old "Idol" buddy, Paula Abdul.
Judge Nicole Scherzinger, sent packing. Host Steve Jones getting the pink slip - out, fired and apparently with the message, "Don`t let the door hit your backside on the way out."
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT heard today directly from Simon and directly Paula. I`ve got what they said in just a moment. But first, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has got to ask, is all of this really Simon`s fault?

(voice-over) And you thought Simon Cowell was hard on contestants.
COWELL: I thought tonight overall was a complete mess.
HAMMER: Today, his show, "The X Factor," the American version of his U.K. hit, lived up to its name with Simon reportedly X-ing out, not one, not two, but three of his show`s stars.
KEN BAKER, E! CHIEF NEWS CORRESPONDENT: You could say that Simon Cowell cleaned house, but really, it was a total demolition.
HAMMER: Host Steve Jones -
STEVE JONES, FORMER HOST, "X FACTOR": Welcome back to the "X Factor."
HAMMER: He`s not welcomed back to the "X Factor." Judge Nicole Scherzinger -
NICOLE SCHERZINGER, FORMER JUDGE, "X FACTOR": I`m an artist first, not a judge.
HAMMER: Well, she`s not a judge anymore. And what about Paula Abdul, Simon`s former "American Idol" sparring partner who he brought aboard for his new show? He wouldn`t fire his old pal, right?
PAULA ABDUL, FORMER JUDGE, "X FACTOR": This first season has been pretty magical.
HAMMER: There won`t be a magical second season for Paula, all three reportedly given the boot by the man himself.
COWELL: You`re going home.
HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has the story on Simon`s Monday night massacre.
BAKER: In his eyes, the show will be better off without them.
HAMMER: Today, "HollywoodReporter.com" reports that Simon recently gathered his "X Factor" brain trust in the U.K. Their mission, overhaul the show, which, in its first season, fell about eight million viewers short of the 20 million Simon had predicted.
BAKER: I`ve been told by sources that Simon just was not happy with the first installment. He didn`t think that the judges fit in with what he was trying to do.
HAMMER: Former Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger probably had the biggest target on her back, thanks to her refusal to make a decision on the adorable 13-year-old contestant, Rachel Crow.
SCHERZINGER: I can`t make this decision. I can`t make this decision.
HAMMER: The result wasn`t pretty with fan favorite Rachel getting sent home and Nicole getting the blame.
JONES: Nicole, is there anything you want to say?
BAKER: It was a complete crisis, really, for Nicole.
HAMMER: "E`s" Ken Baker tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Nicole`s apparent firing wasn`t unexpected.
BAKER: She got herself into something that she wasn`t comfortable with and it was uncomfortable to watch.
HAMMER: As for now-former host, Steve Jones, he got slammed for his sometimes awkward way of dealing with emotional moments on the show. See again that Rachel Crow fiasco.
JONES: OK. This is an emotional time for everybody.
HAMMER: And what about the unkindest cut of all, Simon`s old "American Idol" pal, Paula, who reportedly is also gone from the "X Factor"? After the show`s finale, she seemed to hint to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner that changes might be coming.
ABDUL: We need to listen to what the public feels, if they want certain things to be changed.
HAMMER: So why does this change reportedly include Paula`s exit despite her long history with Simon? The "HollywoodReporter.com" reports that Simon and his "X Factor" team thought that having Simon and Paula together on this new show was just too similar to the show Simon was trying to beat, "American Idol."
BAKER: It just seemed like she was there just to kind of carry on the legacy of "American Idol" and really didn`t bring anything singularly unique to the "X Factor."
HAMMER: Of course, some of the blame has to go to Simon.
BAKER: Certainly, the show did not live up to those expectations that, frankly, he set himself. He`s going to do a complete overhaul of the show because he wants to re-launch it as the new and improved "X Factor."
HAMMER: But here`s a hint to any of Simon`s friends - if Simon hires you to join his show, you`d better produce or, as Paula learned, friendship or not, you could be out the door, too.
BAKER: This proves that old adage that it`s not show friends, it`s show business.

HAMMER: Well, this news has everyone in Hollywood buzzing. And of course, everyone is wondering, what about Paula? Late this afternoon, SHOWBIZ got this statement from Paula Abdul.
Let me read it to you. She says, "Yes, it`s true. I won`t be returning to the "X Factor" next season. I`ve learned through my longevity in this industry that business decisions oftentimes override personal considerations."
"Simon and I along with Fox and Fremantle have been communicating about this for a while now and I have absolute understanding of the situation. Simon is and will remain a dear friend of mine and I`ve treasured my experience working with my extended family at Fox and Fremantle."
"I want nothing more than for the "X Factor" to exceed all of their wildest dreams. This truly has been a blessing and I am most grateful."
With me right now from Los Angeles, "Extra" correspondent Jerry Penacoli.
All right, Jerry. Are you buying that Paula - and we know how lovely she is. But are you buying that she is most grateful? Or is she perhaps really masking her true feelings here because this has got to be pretty upsetting to her?
JERRY PENACOLI, CORRESPONDENT, "EXTRA": Well, yes. And no one can really answer that question except for Paula. But I will tell you this. We`re hearing here at "Extra" that Paula`s exit is more of a network decision as opposed to coming directly from Simon.
So that kind of changes things a little bit. Nicole and Steve Jones, definitely a Simon decision. They weren`t producing after the Rachel Crow incident. Nicole really never rebounded from that.
And Steve Jones always seemed just a little bit out of his element, couldn`t really handle live that well. Couldn`t connect to the contestants.
But Paula - that was the big surprise today, the big shake-up. And again, we`re hearing that that was more of a network decision perhaps to kind of separate the show a little bit more from "Idol" and make it a whole different entity as they`re trying to do for next season.
HAMMER: Yes. You would think they would have thought of that up front. And Simon also released a statement today. He thanked Paula, Nicole and Steve. And just like in Paula`s statement, he bent over backwards to say that he and Paula are still good friends.
But Jerry, I would bet Simon is feeling some guilt that he failed himself and his friend by not delivering the goods with the "X Factor."
PENACOLI: Well, of course. I mean, Simon is a guy that does not like to lose. He has had a winning career thus far. And look, let`s put this in perspective. They still have millions of viewers every week.
HAMMER: Yes.
PENACOLI: So what they`re trying to do is just bolster that a little bit more and gain another eight million to 10 million viewers. And look, here`s what we`re hearing today, A.J., and this is - I don`t know what people are going to think about this.
One of the names of the two hosts that they`re thinking about hiring - two, not one - is the Old Spice guy, "I am now riding a horse," Isaiah Mustafa .
HAMMER: Isaiah - that would be -
PENACOLI: "I am now hosting a show."
HAMMER: A fascinating choice. I`ve got to leave it there. "Extra`s" Jerry Penacoli - thanks for your insight as always, Jerry.
PENACOLI: All right.
HAMMER: Appreciate it. Well, Simon did brag that the "X Factor" would get 20 million viewers and "American Idol" should watch its back. He was still as cocky as ever when SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner caught up with Simon on the red carpet at the "X Factor" season finale just last month.

NISCHELLE TURNER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: Is there an "Idol" controversy? I mean, is there a battle between "X Factor" and "Idol?"
COWELL: Genuinely, now, because they follow us, it`s like, it`s another show, you know. We have to come back next year with a better show, and that`s all I ever think about. I like competition.
HAMMER: Yes. Simon likes competition, but he never got his 20 million viewers that he predicted, not even close. Well, someone who knows all about being a part of the "American Idol" juggernaut, Naima Adedapo.
Naima, you recognize as a finalist from season 10 of "American Idol." She joins me now from Chicago for this SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview. It`s nice to see you, Naima. Do you think Simon is in crisis right now?
NAIMA ADEDAPO, "AMERICAN IDOL" FINALIST: I know that it`s probably a very pressurized kind of situation because there is - he did hype up "X Factor" a lot, you know, so everybody was like, "OK, well, let`s see if this show meets the expectations," and it didn`t.
And so it kind of is, when you talk a lot of good stuff about a show and it doesn`t meet expectations as far as ratings go, then it can be kind of a sticky situation.
HAMMER: And you do know what it`s like to go on a show that was in flux. You were on "Idol" right after Simon and Paul left and when Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler first joined the show.
But we all know what happened. "Idol" barely missed a beat. But as you were going into that situation, were you at all worried about joining up with a Simon-less "Idol" because it was going to be such a different show?
ADEDAPO: Actually, I wasn`t. I was kind of happy - I know I sound bad. But I was kind of happy because I know that he can be kind of heartless sometimes when he deals with contestants.
And when you`re in that situation - live television is one of the hardest things, I think, ever. And when you`re in that situation as a contestant, the last thing you want to do is be broken down, you have your spirit broken down and comments that kind of just break you as an artist, you know.
And so it`s a very sensitive situation. I was very happy that I got Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez rather than Simon.
HAMMER: Yes. Yes. Well, you were very well-received without all those harsh comments. And I do appreciate you being with us. Naima Adedapo, thanks so much.
ADEDAPO: Thank you.
HAMMER: And I`ve got to congratulate Naima on her new record deal with Peak Records. The new album is coming out later this year, so be sure to look for that.

Demian is a superstar in Mexico. And now, he`s up against Brad Pitt and George Clooney for his amazing role as an illegal Mexican immigrant trying to raise his son in an outstanding movie, "A Better Life."

DEMIAN BICHIR, ACTOR: You asked me why I had you, to be able to take care of you and watch you grow, because I love you. You are the most important thing in this world to me, amigo. That`s why I had you for me, for a reason to live.

HAMMER: It is simply an incredible performance. Demian Bichir with us tonight from Hollywood for this SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview.
And Demian, I must start off by saying I am particularly thrilled you are here tonight. I am a huge fan of "Weeds." Of course, you played the great Esteban opposite Mary Louise Parker`s character.
There you are, right there in the show. God, I miss that show so much, so it is a thrill to have you on tonight.
BICHIR: Thank you. Thank you so much for your words.
HAMMER: My absolute pleasure. And you know, a lot of people in the States may not realize in Mexico, you are as big as Brad Pitt or George Clooney for that matter.
And after seeing your spectacular performance in "A Better Life," I`ve got to say I really think you could be the man who ruins Pitt and Clooney`s Oscar night. What do you think?
BICHIR: Well, first of all, I don`t think there`s anybody bigger than those guys in Mexico or anywhere else. And I don`t know how anybody can ruin anything about Brad or George. They`re just fantastic actors and I`ve always been a fan of their work.
HAMMER: You`re just too extraordinarily humble. Now, obviously, everybody`s going to have a great time and I`m sure you`ve had a fun run up in the awards season, just being around that whole crew.
And since the nominations were announced, you know, you`re aware of the common wisdom for a lot of people, the best actor category is this real fight between Clooney for "The Descendants," Jean Dujardin for his amazing starring role in "The Artist" with a bit of a threat from Brad Pitt thrown in for good measure for "Moneyball," of course.
Now, I know you would like to win. I know you`re thrilled to be nominated. But tell me, if you don`t win, Demian, do you have any favorites in the category?
BICHIR: Well, you know, it`s just a tremendous honor to be a part of those five names in an industry where there is so much talent everywhere. And there are at least another 10 names, you know, that didn`t make this final list.
And that makes the whole thing even crazier. This is the first time Gary Oldman hasn`t gotten any, you know, chance for the award he deserves for so many years and, you know, so many great works and films.
And just - it is - I know everyone says that, but it is already a pleasure, a privilege to be part of those names.
HAMMER: And I take it - can you just give me one pick? And I love that you point out Gary Oldman in particular, because, obviously, a tremendous actor who I don`t feel has ever been justly rewarded.
HAMMER: That`s right. Yes, I`m with you and - I don`t know. I love them all and they were really, really great. I only had a chance to say hi to Brad Pitt the other night at the SAG awards and Angelina.
And they were really, really nice. And they were talking about the film that we made. And that`s what we want. That`s our biggest hope right now that more and more people can take a look at our film and spread the word.
HAMMER: Well, Demian, I am doing my part to spread the word because it really is incredible. Your performance is unbelievable.
BICHIR: Thank you.
HAMMER: And I appreciate you being with us tonight. Demian Bichir, thank you so much.

So SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s associate producer, Topher Gauk-Roger got right there with Neil in the green room where Neil talked about possibly getting his own talk show and about his show, "How I Met Your Mother." Watch.

HARRIS: I never say no to things and I certainly like watching magic acts and juggling some things. That would be fun someday. I`m remiss to talk about what I want to do in the future while I`m doing a job in the present.
ROGER: So to talk about a little "How I Met Your Mother" questions - we`ve got a few things from Facebook viewers, one asking, "Will Barney ever settle down?"
HARRIS: If by settle down, you mean like sex where he`s on the bottom, then probably.
ROGER: That`s about it. (UNINTELLIGIBLE) as far as he`s going to get.
HARRIS: Yes.
ROGER: Roxanna C on Facebook wants to know if you could play any other character on "How I Met Your Mother" for one day, aside from Barney, who would it be and why?
HARRIS: It`s a fun question. I do love Martin Short`s character. He plays Mr. Cootes. He`s Marshall`s current boss. That`s mainly just because I`d like to channel Martin Short.
He likes to say three of his lines in a normal tone. "I made no pause and I`m really loud!" That would be fun to do.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big breaking news tonight - Demi in distress.
Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is bringing you an eye-opening and revealing look at what Demi Moore may be going through as she fights her inner demons through the eyes of two celebrities who have gone through their own hell.
And while Demi is now out of the hospital after that frantic 911 call following apparently convulsions after smoking something -

911 OPERATOR: All right. What did she take?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Some form of (UNINTELLIGIBLE) and then she smoked something. I didn`t really see.

HAMMER: It would seem that she faces some sort of treatment. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT goes inside Demi`s crisis. Where is she now? What`s it going to take for her to recover from her terrifying ordeal?
With me now in New York, Jane Velez-Mitchell, host of "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL" right here on HLN. Jane now 16 years sober. She considers herself a recovering alcoholic. Rachel Uchitel from San Francisco. Rachel appeared on "CELEBRITY REHAB WITH DR. DREW."
So there are new reports today that Demi is refusing to go to rehab. And to be clear, it has not been confirmed that she is dealing with substance issues per se. But help us understand what it would be like for her if she does choose to get that kind of help.
Jane, tell me about the first time when reached out for help and sought treatment. You were like a big time news anchor in Los Angeles at that time, if I remember.
JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, HOST, "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL": Yes. I was a local news anchor in Los Angeles. And it was the day I hit bottom, frankly. It was the day that I surrendered to the fact that I was completely powerless over alcohol.
And I stopped negotiating and bargaining with it. And I never had a DUI, luckily. My specialty was making a fool of myself at parties. And I had done so the night before and got drunk and pushed the host down a flight of stairs.
OK. I was bad. The next morning, I woke and I felt completely demoralized. But I had had a friend that I used to party with who had recently gotten sober. And he said, "The next time something like that happens, call me and I`m going to take you, and you`re going to get help."
And that I did. I was desperate enough that morning to reach for help and realize that my way wasn`t working, that I was powerless, that I needed to use - look where my thinking got me, so let`s use some other thinking.
HAMMER: Yes. I think you`re doing all right for yourself.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Thank you.
HAMMER: Here you are, 16 years later. So from your experience then, Jane, what do you think Demi Moore`s experience might be like as she comes to grips with dealing with some probably some pretty painful stuff?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, the fascinating part about getting sober is that nobody can make you get sober but yourself, even if you have an intervention.
That moment of clarity is what they call it, is when you realize - you see yourself as the world sees you. And then you go, "Oh, my god!" Because the mind can rationalize. When you become a zombie to a drug or a drink, the mind can rationalize and justify any behavior, "It wasn`t that bad, right?"
But then you see yourself and you go, "Oh, my god, it was that bad." That`s called a moment of clarity and that`s the window of opportunity for you to get help.
I do hope that she is having a moment of clarity because she`s a beautiful, wonderful woman who has a great heart, who has so much to give the world. She`s done so much so much community service work.
She has a great career ahead of her still as one of the world`s most beautiful women. And that moment of clarity clears up - you know, they say in sobriety, there is no mess you can`t clean up. This can be cleaned up very easily.
HAMMER: And she`s a mom as well. Let me go to Rachel Uchitel. Rachel, was it just as tough for you to really accept that idea that, hey, you needed to make some big changes and that rehab was probably the best option?
RACHEL UCHITEL, "CELEBRITY REHAB WITH DR. DREW": Yes. It`s always difficult admitting that you`re not right and you`re not in control. And that`s the worst part.
And the hardest part, I think, of this decision for Demi and for other people that are thinking about going to rehab is - the most difficult part is the first part, and that`s just showing up.
And if you just show up to rehab and if you just let somebody hold your hand for a second, you might get something out of it. But it`s taking that step and admitting you`re out of control, that you don`t know all the answers, that, you know, you don`t know how to fix this problem when for so long, you thought you were in control.
And that`s the worst part. And the first day is really the worst. I mean, you look around you and you don`t believe you`re like these other people there. You don`t believe your addiction is an addiction.
You believe, you know, you can totally handle it. And it`s sort of letting somebody else be in control and tell you how it`s going to be from now on while you`re there. And that`s the tough part.
HAMMER: So it seems Demi would have a pretty tough road ahead of her. From your experience, Rachel, what do you think it`s going to be like for Demi coming to grips with some obviously very painful issues?
UCHITEL: Well, again - I mean, I don`t know Demi. You know, I don`t know her situation. And I want to stress that, you know, I`ve been in this situation, too, where the whole world sees bits and pieces of your life and they put it together and think they think they know a story.
We don`t know what`s going on in her head really. We don`t know her situation. We don`t know what she`s addicted to, if she`s addicted to anything or if she`s just in a really bad state of depression.
You know, we don`t know. But you know, the next step is this hardest. And I hope that she takes the help that is being offered to her.
And you know, the hardest thing, I think, too, is getting over that hump of thinking that you are going to be humiliated by giving in, you know, and saying that you need this help. And I think it`s that hurdle she has to get over and anybody has to get over.
HAMMER: Jane is smiling here, something that she can relate to.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, somebody once said to me. I said, "Oh, I`m embarrassed." He said, "Nothing you can do sober is ever as embarrassing as what you`ve already done drunk."
HAMMER: Well, there`s that.
UCHITEL: That`s true.
HAMMER: And I think Rachel makes a terrific point that there`s so much that we really don`t know. That is quite obvious. But what we do know is what we can see. And from my perspective and from so many people`s perspective, it is remarkable how much Demi has changed over the years.
Let`s take a look right here. I mean, she looked fantastic. This is back in 1996 when she starred in "Striptease." You remember that.
Let`s move to 2003. She blew us away when she stepped out for the "Charlie`s Angels" remake. Today, a drastic difference - very, very skinny, looking completely different than we have known her to look.
Now, there`s a new report today that says Demi is seeking spiritual counseling. But Jane, when you see these photos coupled with that frantic call to help that we heard to 911, spiritual counseling - would that at all possibly be enough in your mind based on what we do know?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, they`re not mutually exclusive. And really, sobriety is spirituality. You are embracing a spiritual path.
The whole point of going through, for example, the 12 steps is get your own side of the street clean, to acknowledge your part in whatever disaster has occurred in your life so that you`re no longer a victim, but you`re a participant.
And you can`t continue to have a pity party. You actually have to get up and do something. So I think it is - going to rehab is perhaps the most spiritual thing a person who has a substance abuse problem of any sort can do.
HAMMER: And there has obviously been a lot of talk about the 911 call that was released. They are released all the time, but there`s a lot more interest, obviously, because Demi is a huge celebrity.
You and I have debated this off the air because there are a lot of people who will question, Jane, the value of these tapes being out there. Does it just come with the territory in your mind?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, let`s remember that Demi and Ashton were the Twitter couple of the 21st century. They have millions of followers on Twitter. They were always communicating personal private things to each other.
You can`t do that day after day, month after month, year after year, and then, when things go south, say, "Oh, I`m putting on the brakes." We don`t want anybody to look at our private lives.
HAMMER: I hear that. Gosh, it is just - it is so personal. And I do understand why there are people out there who are saying, oh, maybe not everybody needs to hear that. But I need to leave it there, Jane.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes. I see both sides.
HAMMER: Yes, I know. And Rachel Uchitel, I really appreciate your special insight. Thank you so much.

I`ve got to say that would be pretty cool. I`d love to see that. I`m thinking the president may be a little too busy running our country.

And tonight, it`s a SHOWBIZ exclusive with someone who is probably as well-known as our president and obviously can do some serious singing as well. I`m talking about an absolute legend, the Beatles` Ringo Starr.
Ringo`s 17th solo album, "Ringo 2012," drops today. And tonight, Ringo is opening up big time to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. He is setting the record straight on what`s the deal with the Beatles reunion. Happening? Not happening?
I mean, everybody, everyone always asking whether or not it`s going to happen. And tonight, Ringo is answering the question once and for all to us. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter went one-on-one with Ringo Starr. And here is that incredible interview with the rock icon.

WYNTER: Ringo, Kareen Wynter.
RINGO STARR, FORMER MEMBER OF THE BEATLES: Give me a hug, babe.
WYNTER: It`s such a pleasure to meet you.
STARR: You, too.
WYNTER: We have lots to chat about today.
STARR: Lots to chat about. Why? Did something happen?
WYNTER: You have a seat.
(SINGING)
This new album, it`s fabulous. You`ve been doing this for so long. But I want to know what the inspiration was behind this.
STARR: Well, the inspiration behind the CD is, that`s what I do. I love hanging out with musicians and playing my drums.
WYNTER: Music is really your passion?
STARR: Yes.
(SINGING)
WYNTER: If you want to get an ice-cream cone, if you want to take a stroll down the street with your wife -
STARR: We can do all of that. I mean, it`s not as crazy as it was for us as the Beatles. And I feel that it`s hard enough for the celebrities.
You know, I mean, there was no - there was no one bigger than us, and we were put upon. But now, Paul and I can go on holiday or John and I - you know, we go on holidays and that was fine. Now, you can`t go anywhere.
I mean, the celebrity of today is so documented, that I think it`s a lot harder now. I think we had it`s easier. I mean, we thought it was hard, but compared to today, we had nothing.
(SINGING)
WYNTER: Can you finally put the rumors to rest? Are you - will there be a Beatles reunion for the 2012 Olympics in London?
STARR: How can there be? Oh, no. I`ll be here. I`m already booked here in America.
WYNTER: Paul said he may want to do it.
STARR: Well, Paul can do it.
WYNTER: But it`s not the same without you.
STARR: Well, he`s doing quite well without me. He`s doing OK. Well, the door is open that Paul and I may play together, but it`s not like a reunion. It`s not going to be the Beatles, you know.
They have those crazy ideas that, oh, maybe we could use their children. It`s never going to happen.
WYNTER: What`s your relationship like with Paul? I know you`ve had your ups and downs.
STARR: It`s good. Well, yes. You know, after all this time, everybody has ups and downs. So we have ups and downs, but it`s very up right now.
WYNTER: Right.
STARR: We`re so pleased for him and Nancy. We love Nancy.
WYNTER: The wedding was beautiful. What was that like seeing them walk through those chapel doors?
STARR: Great. It was great, you know. He seemed really happy and that`s good. And as I said, we love Nancy, so I think it`s a great moment for him.

WYNTER: What`s next for you?
STARR: We tackle that when it comes along now. You know, I mean, I`m making records. I`m going on tour, and then I`m off to do whatever else I want to do, you know. So I have a very good life.

HAMMER: I love Ringo. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter is in Hollywood tonight. Kareen, that brand-new video of Ringo`s performance is just incredible stuff. Where does that come from?
WYNTER: That was actually Ringo`s performance for Sirius XM Radio, A.J. It was performed at a live, live special event across the country. And of course, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - yes, we got access to it.
HAMMER: And I have always known him to be a very humble guy. You got to see some of that humility as big a rock legends as he is, didn`t you?
WYNTER: Oh, yes. You have to love that guy, so unassuming. And get this, he didn`t just pack his own brown bag lunch which, yes, he made himself.
He drove himself to the hotel for the interview. No entourage. It was such a treat to sit down with him, A.J. I can`t wait to talk to him again.
HAMMER: Well, and you know, he told me last time he was here he watches SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. So hi, Ringo.
WYNTER: Even better.

HAMMER: And now, SHOWBIZ breaks more news with Martin Scorsese. Scorsese has obviously made some of the most acclaimed films of our time.
I mean, he brought the world "Taxi Driver," "Raging Bull," "Good Fellas" - that`s just a few scratching the surface. But don`t expect any glossy remakes of his classy titles. Oh, no.
The "Hugo" director is dead set against them. So with Sacha Baron Cohen, who starred in "Hugo," by his side, Scorsese just told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that he will never remake any of his films.

MARTIN SCORSESE, DIRECTOR: No, not remake. Why don`t we just scrub them up a little bit and they could see them. I think, you know, having a young child at later age now - she`s going to 12. She`s 12 now, my daughter.
I have two older daughters from when I was much younger. But what`s happened - I showed the kids, her and her friends, these movies.
After a while, they only know a little bit that something is "old," quote, unquote, if it doesn`t have color, you see. Once they got past that, they think the picture was made a year ago.

HAMMER: There you go. You heard it. Don`t hold your breath for remakes of Scorsese classics like "Casino" or the Oscar-winning "Departed," which I respect buy, you know, in a way, it`s kind of too bad. I would really like to see how Scorsese would reinterpret a movie like "Taxi Driver" today.

HAMMER: Wow! That is tough-as-nails dance instructor, Abby Lee Miller from the hit reality show, "Dance Moms." She is stirring up a lot of controversy for yelling at little girls like that.
And now, even award-winning actress, Katherine Heigl has got a serious beef with "Dance Moms" now that she`s a mom herself. In her weekly blog post, Heigl just slammed the Lifetime TV show for sending an inappropriate message to little girls.
And I`ve got to read to you what she wrote, "I watched with open-mouthed amazement as girls as young as seven were encouraged to dress provocatively and shimmy around a stage doing a dance performance that could have just as easily been a burlesque routine."
She went on to write this, "I kept thinking all these girls were missing was a pole. I was also horrified by the way their instructor spoke to them when she felt they weren`t up to snuff."
Now, Katherine says she thinks there is a way for these girls to succeed as dancers in a much more supportive environment.
