Hello and thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big news breaking tonight - a remarkable SHOWBIZ showdown in the Trayvon Martin tragedy.

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is bringing you the biggest and the most dramatic moments today as George Zimmerman made the extraordinary move of getting on the stand at his bond hearing trying to prove that he should be released while awaiting trial in the shooting death of Florida teenager, Trayvon Martin.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ZIMMERMAN: I wanted to say I am sorry for the loss of your son. I did not know how old he was.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The time and the place is to do it face to face, sincerely, and you make it meaningful. This was the most un-meaningful apology we`ve ever seen.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wow. And that`s just some of Trayvon`s attorneys. They`re speaking today for the family after the hearing. They are not at all buying the apology and they are outraged, just furious, that the judge ruled Zimmerman could go free if he puts up a $150,000 bond, has no access to alcohol or firearms, wears an electronic monitoring bracelet and abides by a curfew. He has to stay home between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

With me tonight from Atlanta, Sunny Hostin who is a legal contributor for "In Session" on our sister network, Tru TV. In Plantation, Florida, Judge Alex Ferrer, star of TV`s "Judge Alex Show." I appreciate you both being here.

And wow. I mean, what a dramatic moment when George Zimmerman took the stand today in his own defense. He apologized to Trayvon Martin`s family. Let`s watch that together.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ZIMMERMAN: I wanted to say I am sorry for the loss of your son. I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am, and I did not know if he was armed or not.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. I mean, first of all, just wild hearing George speaking. But Judge Alex, I would guess that an apology at a bond hearing doesn`t usually happen. Were you shocked that Zimmerman actually took the stand and apologized to Trayvon`s family?

JUDGE ALEX FERRER, "JUDGE ALEX SHOW": No. I absolutely was. That was a very, very risky move, A.J. You know, his words, of course, can be used against him.

Clearly, he`s not going to apologize to her outside of court while this is pending. His lawyer would strangle him. So you know, we don`t know if it`s sincere or if it`s a game.

But putting him on a stand at a bond hearing, which is unusual in and of itself, anything he says - a lawyer - I can think of all the arguments lawyers could make as to why they should be allowed to pry further into his claim that he thought he didn`t know if he had a gun or not.

Is he making a self-defense claim there? Can the prosecution go after him and start questioning his defense? There are a lot of things that could go wrong when you put him on the stand.

So you really don`t put him on the stand unless you have to. But that worked out well for him, I think. It came off humanizing him.

HAMMER: Yes. I was going to say a risky move, but did it pay off for him with the fact he was let out on bond?

FERRER: I don`t think that`s what let him out on bond. I don`t think the judge really gave much weight to that at all. He`d give any weight to that.

But I think in the court of public opinion, all we`ve seen in the mug shot and the orange jumpsuit. And now, you know, it humanized him a little bit there.

HAMMER: Well, the attorneys for the Martin family made it clear. The family was shocked and disgusted that Zimmerman took the stand today.

They say the only reason he`s saying he`s sorry now is because he wants out of jail. And of course, it made for a very dramatic moment after the bond hearing. Let`s watch how that happened.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Tracy Martin had tears in his eyes as he watched the killer of his son. And it was devastating that he got to give a self- serving apology to help him get a bond.

Sybrina had to really calm Tracy Martin down, because as a man, as a father, sitting there, watching the killer of his son in that courtroom being protected - their son is dead.

This is a time when most parents of 17-year-old children are helping them plan prom. Well, Tracy and Sybrina Martin won`t be helping Trayvon get a suit for prom. Almost 50 days ago, they had to find a suit to bury him in.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wow. I mean, it`s just still such a sad, sad story. Trayvon`s family sees this apology on the stand simply as an attempt at a get-out-of- jail-free card for Zimmerman, Sunny.

Do you agree as somebody who spends a lot of time in the courtroom that that`s what was going on with that apology?

SUNNY HOSTIN, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION": Well, certainly it was unusual. and I will tell you this, because I`ve spoken to some of the Martin family attorneys.

George Zimmerman, through his attorney Mark O`Mara did reach out to the Martin family and asked for a private meeting so that he could apologize to them and could speak to them. The family did not want that.

They wanted more of a public statement about what happened that night. They wanted, perhaps, a deposition. They wanted full transparency, full disclosure. They did not want this type of apology and I think that is also leading to the outrage.

But let me say this, A.J. I don`t know that this helped him in the short term. I agree with Judge Alex. I don`t know that the judge considered that.

But I think it may have harmed him because if you listen to what he said, he said things that were very inconsistent with what he said before. In particular, he said that he thought that Trayvon was just a little bit younger than he is.

Well, George Zimmerman is 28. On the 911 call he said that he was a kid, that he was a teenager in reference to Trayvon Martin. So we already have an inconsistency from his very mouth. And so I don`t know in the long run if that was a gamble that will pay off.

HAMMER: Yes. How did the Miranda rights go? Anything you say can or will be held against you in a court law.

HOSTIN: That`s right.

HAMMER: And I think that`s what we`re going to see happen here. So many dramatic moments, though, and another happened when we heard the voice of George Zimmerman`s wife, Shelly.

Now, she testified by telephone. And the assistant state attorney questioned her about her husband`s past violence. Let`s watch that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He alleged in this affidavit that he, Mr. Zimmerman, pushed him - pushed her, excuse me, and then he, with an open hand, slapped her in the mouth and asked her how it felt?

SHELLY ZIMMERMAN, GEORGE ZIMMERMAN`S WIFE: No, I`m not aware of that.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He picked me up and threw me on the bed. Got up to leave and he grabbed me again, and put her on the bed. You weren`t aware of that incident?

S. ZIMMERMAN: I`m aware that he had to protect himself from being attacked by her and that there was blood drawn on him from her. And he also filed an injunction against her.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wow. Now, this is also stunning, because we hadn`t heard from Zimmerman`s wife before today. Judge Alex, can what Zimmerman`s wife said in any way play into the case as it moves forward?

FERRER: Well, not very likely. I don`t see her, his father or his wife or mother being called as a witness by the defense in this case.

The prosecution may call the father, because he`s made some statements - the father`s made some statements as to what his son told him and that can be used to impeach him later on.

But really, this was an isolated incident. We`re looking if his dangerous in order to determine his bond. And frankly, I don`t think the judge would give a lot of weight this to either.

Because when I was a judge, I had women come in front of me and claim their husbands were not dangerous after their husbands had beat them to a pulp and throw them out of a second-story window.

So really, what the judge was looking at was the strength of the prosecution`s case. Did it rise to the very high standard required to keep him on no bond. And frankly, I think Judge Lester was right. It did not rise to that standard.

HAMMER: Yes. Sunny, it seems to me that today`s bond hearing really gives us a pretty solid preview of what we`re going to see during the actual trial. Is that how you see it?

HOSTIN: Well, I don`t know that it gave us a preview of the evidence in this case, because all they went over was the affidavit of probable cause.

And it`s clear that that is not a recitation of all of the facts. It`s just a thumbnail sketch. But I do think, A.J., that it gave us a pretty good idea of the battle between the attorneys that we will see.

I think we saw two very skilled attorneys, very seasoned attorneys, arguing their positions. And so we`re going to see that sort of I think theatrics in the courtroom. We have very passionate attorneys here.

HAMMER: And perhaps a willingness to take some risks. Sunny Hostin, Judge Alex, thank you very much for your insight tonight. I appreciate it.

As we move on tonight, a SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigation you`ve got to see. Inside how the "Real Housewives" franchise is transforming its stars into moguls.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We have a new vodka coming up called Zing Vodka. And it`s a red velvet cake vodka. My husband and I are doing this skin care line together. And that`s what I`ve used, this (UNINTELLIGIBLE) is to make beautiful things and quality things.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The little projects that are 0generating big bucks for these housewives. Is the real action all off-screen?

Plus, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s one-on-one with Mike Tyson at his new Las Vegas show.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The Mike Tyson you`ve never seen.

TYSON: This is a real standup guy.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The Mike Tyson you didn`t know existed.

TYSON: I was a 14-year-old kid and I was knocking down grown men.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: So what scares boxing`s bad boy? Iron Mike gets real. It`s a knockout SHOWBIZ exclusive interview. Plus, did you see this? It`s the team duo double take.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TYSON: Getting a jail official pregnant and stuff.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What do you mean you got a jail official pregnant?

TYSON: That`s just what happened.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This will be the next show.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Mike Tyson`s new bombshell confession. Can you believe that? Tyson is famous for being controversial, of course, but are you serious?

Now, he`s saying he got a prison official pregnant while he was behind bars, and he didn`t even put that in his new Vegas one-man show all about his life. That`s unbelievable even for iron Mike Tyson.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer. And tonight, a SHOWBIZ Mike Tyson exclusive. We`re reminded with those explosive comments that Mike has always been considered a loose cannon outside and inside the boxing ring from the infamous bite fight to that face tattoo and, of course, his rape conviction.

Mike Tyson`s public persona has been shaped by a lifetime of outrageous behavior. Now, well, Iron Mike wants to flip the script. He`s starring in a one-man show all about his life.

And as SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner found out when she sat down with him in Las Vegas if you thought Tyson couldn`t still shock you, think again.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

NISCHELLE TURNER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): It`s the Tyson you`ve never seen.

TYSON: He`s just a little stand-up guy.

TURNER: The Mike Tyson you didn`t know existed.

TYSON: I was a 14-year-old kid, man. I was knocking out grown men.

TURNER: But the Tyson he says, good, bad or ugly, is his authentic self.

TYSON: I went pretty raw in a visual, periodically, I guess, you know. I don`t know. That`s what I want to be. That`s what I was taught to be - raw.

My mother and her friends are sex workers, living with many men in the house. So I was not really around a lot of women when I was young.

TURNER (on camera): When you say sex worker, you mean a prostitute?

TYSON: Yes. Well, you know, politically correct is sex worker now.

TURNER: Do you think that, seeing your mother be a sex worker and the other women, do you think that`s what some people would say you didn`t treat women with respect?

TYSON: 100 percent. 100 percent. There`s no doubt about that. I didn`t understand a commitment until, like, a couple of years ago, three years ago, because you have to understand.

Every man I met, they`re all chauvinistic. They believe they`re superior to women and all that. That`s the world I grew up in.

TURNER (voice-over): It`s stories like that Tyson hopes will pack the theater here at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. He understands some of this is raw, even jaw-dropping.

But it`s his life, what he calls his "undisputed truth."

(on camera) Are you intimidated at all? Are you afraid at all to do this?

TYSON: I`d be afraid not to do it.

TURNER: Really?

TYSON: Yes.

TURNER: Why?

TYSON: I don`t know. I think I was born to do this.

TURNER (voice-over): Tyson says he`s putting himself at center stage so people can get to know the man he is today instead of the controversial figure known for violence in and out of the ring.

(on camera) The truth is I was a little nervous today, because, yes, that`s the image I was a fan of you boxing, but the image is this tough, mean, rough, sometimes dangerous man.

TYSON: I was very successful in my job in making you think that.

TURNER: Well, can I ask you this, because you talked about how you went to prison and you talked about that here. What did you learn from that experience?

TYSON: I was never at peace with myself, never comfortable in my skin, you know, because of the things I`ve seen as a kid, and - it`s really been a really violent, dysfunctional household.

And that`s all I`ve seen is violence and dysfunction and murder and all that stuff, and that`s just really a big burden to handle. I really didn`t like myself, because of the things I had seen.

TURNER (voice-over): I asked Tyson about the rape conviction, and how he feels today about Desiree Washington, the woman who accused him.

TYSON: Should never have met this woman and talked to her, but she was, you know, young kid at the time and she`s never been in that situation.

TURNER: A situation Tyson says he actually learned a great deal from, and one of many harsh life lessons he revisits in his stage show.

(on camera) Some people will say you have lived nine lives already, sir.

TYSON: Probably. You know, maybe I lived nine lives, lived life. Maybe I just didn`t get it right.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Wow. Talk about not holding anything back. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner joining now me from Hollywood.

Nischelle, I know that Mike also made a big revelation to you about Brad Pitt, of all people. What did he confess to you about Brad?

TURNER: Yes. You know, you really wouldn`t put those two together in the same sentence, A.J., but they definitely had a run-in. It was back in 1989, and Mike said that, at the time, he was going through his divorce with Robin Givens.

He says, he and Robin still kind of had a friendly relationship, if you know what I mean, through the divorce. But he said he went over to her house one morning, pulled up in the driveway, rang the doorbell, because he kind of wanted to see her before one of the court proceedings and he said no one`s there.

So he decided to leave, and when he was leaving, she drove up and in the car with her was Brad Pitt. And he said, at the time, he didn`t know who he was.

He wasn`t really a big name actor, but he just knew this guy was in the car with his wife. And he said Brad looked at him and said, "Hey, guy."

HAMMER: Nice. And a good thing for Brad that Mike was in fairly decent mood and didn`t beat the crap out of him. All right. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner, fascinating. Thank you so much.

TURNER: There was no blows.

HAMMER: We`ve got to move on right now because tonight, SHOWBIZ is the wedding planner. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT plans the Hollywood wedding of the new century for the non-bruised Brad Pitt and Angelina.

HAMMER: Well, just when you thought things couldn`t get any better for Angelina Jolie, once again, she has proven everybody wrong because she`s now having one of her best weeks ever.

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has your exclusive look at Reputation.com`s weekly scorecard of who`s up and who`s down in Hollywood, all determined by online social media buzz.

And joining me tonight from Hollywood for the reputation rap, there he is, Reputation.com`s vice chairman, Howard Bragman.

So Howard, Angelina Jolie - she is up this week. She just announced her engagement to Brad Pitt. People are thrilled that they`re finally tying the knot and I have to believe that`s why.

HOWARD BRAGMAN, VICE CHAIRMAN, REPUTATION.COM: Absolutely. They`re thrilled and they`re showing it online. Her popularity has gone up four times and it`s overwhelmingly positive, almost 75 percent positive, A.J.

And you know, she`s been negative in the past. So this is a really good moment for her, and she`s wearing it with great class right now.

HAMMER: Yes, she is. Good for her. Now, did Brad get a bump, too, with his rep?

BRAGMAN: Absolutely, but just not as much as her. And we always like the bride a little better, I think. That`s the lesson here.

HAMMER: All right. Brad and Angie up. Pippa Middleton is down. She should be having what I think is one of her best weeks ever. She made "Time 100`s" most influential people list. But she also made news for all the wrong reasons. Is that why her rep took a dive, Howard?

BRAGMAN: Absolutely. You know, since the wedding last year, Pippa has been among the most popular people in the world consistently. High positive.

She took a horrible negative dip. She`s 80 percent negative after that little incident. And she`ll certainly get beyond it, A.J. But this is a lesson that you`ve really got to be careful when the eyes of the world are on you.

HAMMER: Yes, obviously. Being photographed while someone you`re with is playing with a toy gun and she`s smiling. Not good. So tell me, Howard, quickly, who is the biggest surprise of the week in terms of their rep?

BRAGMAN: You know, Simon Cowell really turned his image around, but unfortunately, in a bad way. Sharon Osbourne came out with a book and said some disparaging things about Simon.

HAMMER: And his private parts.

BRAGMAN: And he went to high negatives about his little private parts, and went about 65 percent negative.

HAMMER: We`ll be asking Sharon about that on Monday. Reputation.com`s vice chairman, Howard Bragman - thanks, Howard.

Now, the SHOWBIZ lineup at bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

And there`s wild speculation everywhere tonight about the who, the what, the where, when and why. Who`s coming? What will Angie wear?

Where will they get married? And when will it all happen? And why now after seven years and six kids? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is breaking it all down tonight and breaking news with wedding planner to the stars, Kevin Lee.

Now, Kevin planned Brad Pitt`s wedding to Jennifer Aniston and he was the inspiration for the wedding planner in the hit film, "Father of the Bride."

Well, I spoke with Kevin about planning Brad`s first wedding and asked if he is willing to do this one, too.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KEVIN LEE, WEDDING PLANNER: Absolutely. It`s going to be this dream wedding ever. First, the wedding was just incredible, I`m sure, but Angelina has her own, you know, beautiful ideas. And Brad himself is an incredible person.

HAMMER: Will you pick up the phone to call him to see if he`s interested?

LEE: I`d love to. Definitely.

HAMMER: And here`s my question though. You`ve done so many celebrity weddings, correct?

LEE: Yes, I have.

HAMMER: Is it kind of bad luck to bring in the same people to do the second wedding for a different bride?

LEE: I don`t think so. This is Hollywood here. You`re talking about all of these celebrities.

HAMMER: Yes.

LEE: You know, their weddings last about two, three years, but then -

HAMMER: You mean marriages.

LEE: I know. But they`ve been engaged for seven years, so -

HAMMER: Keeps business good for you if you do a good job the first time.

LEE: Definitely.

HAMMER: Let me bring in SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner from Hollywood. Help us out with some of the details here, Nischelle. Have they told us where the wedding will be held? What`s going on? I need to know.

TURNER: Well, A.J., you know, I couldn`t just pick up the phone and say, "Hey, Angie, where are we going to do all this?" No, she didn`t pick up the phone.

So anyway - no, we don`t know exactly where it`s going to be held, but here`s what we have heard. They may have been planning this for about six months now and one of the places rumored, the south of France.

I`ve also heard rumors that maybe they want to do it stateside. It could be somewhere like New Orleans. So I don`t know where it`s going to be held.

I would personally say New Orleans but that`s just because I love the city. So we have to wait on that and still dig a little bit.

HAMMER: Well, there`s a reason they say, "Laissez les bons temps rouler," Nischelle. And text Angie next time, by the way. You`ll get quicker response from her.

Kevin, I want you to help us bring all of this together because, obviously, you`ve planned so many lavish weddings including Brad Pitt`s very first one.

LEE: Absolutely.

HAMMER: Where do you think they should have it? I actually think New Orleans is a terrific idea. They spend a great deal of time in the city. It has a lot of special meaning to them.

LEE: I love that area. I think it`s gorgeous, but south of France - she has a castle. I think she just bought a castle because of that.

Because you know, in all the paparazzi and people. You know, they have six kids. It`s very tough having a wedding with this humongous celebrities in the States. I mean, the first wedding was really tough. It was like helicopters around -

HAMMER: We remember that. It was a very hard thing to pull off.

LEE: Exactly. You kind of have a privacy wedding like this. So to me, south of France would be just incredible.

HAMMER: Yes. You know, they could charter a jet, hire John Travolta to fly everybody over or something like that. What do you think, Kevin? Who do you think should be in this wedding party?

I think a lot of us would love to see George Clooney, Brad`s buddy, as best man, obviously.

HAMMER: Yes. Exactly. Sure. I mean, you know, you`re talking about a wedding here. A wedding is very traditional. They have six kids.

I mean, you know, when you`re raising six kids, it`s not that easy. So I mean, this is going to be like a sample of Hollywood traditional wedding ever.

HAMMER: The Hollywood royalty as big as it gets and perhaps one of the classiest couples in Hollywood as well.

LEE: I think it`s going to be just elegant and whimsical.

HAMMER: They both have a great aesthetic, too.

LEE: Oh, he has excellent taste and so does Angelina. They have beautiful taste.

HAMMER: Yes. Well, and, of course, you can`t plan a big lavish wedding without a big, lavish wedding dress or at least something that is going to be just out of this world that everybody is going to be paying close attention to.

And I`m predicting, and this may be stretch, Angelina will look amazing in whatever she wears. But what do you think, Kevin? What should she wear?

Would you see her in some kind of big ballroom gown? That`s not where my head is at. It would be something that, obviously is custom-designed to her, unique and very much Angelina Jolie.

LEE: To me, she`s like a (UNINTELLIGIBLE). It used to be she was very gothic. But she has six kids and she has changed a lot. And she has grown up like such a gorgeous lady.

So I think she`s going to wear just something structured, also at the same time, whimsical and very elegant, feminine. Something really beautiful gown.

And also, I have, you know, "Brides of Beverly Hills" on TLC and I can just show her gorgeous gowns on my show.

HAMMER: OK. Well, good. I think we have to make that connection if, you know, they don`t call you themselves and there you have it.

Because, you know, of all the things people speculate, really, the gown is probably going get its own issue of many of the magazines.

And of course, look, it`s going to take an enormous amount of time to plan such a lavish wedding as we all expect it will be, all the bells and the whistles.

Nischelle, do you get the feeling this thing is a long way off so they can have all the time they need plan? Or do you think it`s going to come together kind of quickly?

TURNER: You know, that`s so tough, A.J., because, you know, with these two, you never know. They could be married already as far as we know. Who knows?

But I would think and I hope they actually surprise us. Do something low key and do it quickly. But I would have to say now that they`re going the traditional route for the kids - the kids have been asking - I do think maybe they will actually have that traditional ceremony, and that does take a little time to plan.

So maybe summer? Early fall? That would be beautiful. She`d look great.

(CROSS TALK)

HAMMER: What do you think, Kevin? Should they pull this together by summertime?

LEE: Definitely. I think so. Definitely. I mean, you know, if you plan it right, it doesn`t really have to really take a long time to plan any weddings.

HAMMER: And if you have the right people on your side.

LEE: That`s right, just like me. You know, I can plan a wedding.

HAMMER: Did you do a good time the first time for Brad Pitt?

LEE: It was gorgeous.

HAMMER: Because the marriage didn`t work out, but that had nothing to do with you, right?

LEE: No, no, no. Not at all.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That was wedding planner to the stars, Kevin Lee. It will be interesting to see if he gets the gig.

Well, tonight a legend remembers another legend. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT catches up with music mogul, Clive Davis, who calls Dick Clark rightfully a pioneer.

And "Idol" shocker. An elimination shocker on "American Idol" last night with the latest castoff that had jaws dropping from coast to coast and that is making big news in "The Buzz Today."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) SHOWBIZ at "Idol" - Colton Dixon, done. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there at "American Idol" as Colton Dixon said so long to the competition. Dixon was sent home on Thursday`s elimination show and he confessed to us he now thinks singing Gaga`s "Bad Romance" was a very bad decision.

COLTON DIXON, FORMER "AMERICAN IDOL" CONTESTANT: Something against "Bad Romance" or Lady Gaga. I probably would have chosen a song I can better connect with spiritually.

I turned off a lot of people with that song, I think. Not trying to. I was trying to take a song that everyone knew and put a cool twist on it.

HAMMER: Clive Davis` Dick Clark tribute. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there on the red carpet with music industry icon Clive Davis Thursday night at the anniversary gala for NYU`s Tisch School for the Arts.

Clive shared his memories of his close friend, Dick Clark, with us.

CLIVE DAVIS, MUSIC MOGUL: He was there with "American Bandstand" before "American Idol." He really brought to the culture what was going on. He loved music and pioneered. He was just great.

TAYLOR ARMSTRONG, REALITY TV STAR, "THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS": I get more reward out of doing something lavish for my daughter than for myself. You know, I`m sure Lisa would go buy 20 pair of shoes for herself. I`d rather do it for my daughter (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Is Taylor out on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"? Well, tonight, a brand-new report says Bravo is trying to phase out Taylor from the show.

According to Radar Online, producers reluctantly signed her on for next season mainly out of sympathy in the aftermath of her husband Russell taking his own life.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates "Real Housewives," real moguls.

You know, it`s kind of hard to imagine a world without "Real Housewives" in it, right? The "Real Housewives of Orange County" debuted just six years ago and it`s spawned a powerhouse TV franchise.

Well, tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that the real action is off- screen, from Atlanta to Beverly Hills to New Jersey, the stars of these shows have become enterprising entrepreneurs.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter now takes us behind the drama to uncover what it is that makes the "Real Housewives" really, really rich.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): The "Real Housewives franchise have become the toast of reality TV, launching many of its leading ladies into instant fame. And some are using this massive platform to start their own industries.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I have launched a new business Wines by Wives.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I have two new songs coming out.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Beverage come out right now called Red Velvet Cosmo.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: On May 1st, my book "Skinny Dipping" comes out. It`s a fiction novel.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`ve all got our little projects going on.

WYNTER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that these little projects have become a big deal and have helped turn many "Real Housewives" into real moguls.

KAT SADLER, E! ENTERTAINMENT: It seems like if they`re not focusing on some type of entrepreneurial adventure, then you`re the abnormal housewife.

WYNTER: E! Entertainment`s Kat Sadler tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that the "Housewives" franchise has a knack for turning out savvy businesswomen.

SADLER: They know who`s out there watching them week after week after week. They put out what they know their fans are going to eat up and it`s working.

WYNTER: And Sadler says Bethenny Frankel has set the standard in taking reality show fame to the bank. In addition to her own Bravo spinoff, the former New York housewife has become a household name with her best-selling books, cookbooks and Skinny Girl Cocktail chain.

SADLER: Probably her most lucrative adventure was of course the Skinny Girls Cocktails. That`s what put her on top. That sets her apart from all the other housewives and that`s what made her a multimillionaire.

WYNTER: And she`s also landed her very own talk show with none other than Ellen DeGeneres serving as executive producer.

BETHENNY FRANKEL, FORMER "REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK: So many great things in my life have come from taking chance, and then a talk show is taking a big chance. And it`s going to be quite a (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

WYNTER: Beverly Hills housewife Adrienne Maloof also likes to take chances. An established businesswoman well before joining the show, Maloof has since launched her own successful shoe line and she tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT her "Housewives" exposure has paid off.

ADRIENNE MALOOF, "REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS": Bravo is amazing on what they do. They`re brilliant. They know how to cross promote. I saw it as a win-win situation for me. It`s amazing platform for my philanthropic work, for my business.

WYNTER (on camera): Did you ever imagine this would help you in an entrepreneurial sense in a way it has? You`re a household name.

MALOOF: You know, I think I went in, knowing that again an amazing platform. But to this extent, it`s really - it`s mind-boggling.

WYNTER (voice-over): And as Maloof tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, just one side venture isn`t enough.

MALOOF: We have a new vodka coming out called Zing Vodka and it`s a red velvet cake vodka. My husband and I are doing a skin care line together and that`s what I`ve used this platform for. It`s to make beautiful things and quality things.

SADLER: My hat`s off to these ladies, I mean, with any reality show, there`s a certain amount of, you know, you give up obviously a lot of your privacy and you lay it all out there on the line, there have been some more negative storylines, but all in all, I think that, good for these ladies, you know, they`re doing their thing.

WYNTER: While Bethenny and Adrienne successful keep doing their thing, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that we`re only seeing the beginning of the real housewife, real mogul craze.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That`s pretty amazing and it`s pretty clear there`s a lot of star power that comes with reality fame. I have to wonder if these ladies can maintain their mogul statuses, however, even after they leave their show.

Some can, but think about it. Branding for the housewives is as big a deal as visibility. And there are so many examples.

Bethenny Frankel has her own reality show spinoff, "Bethenny Ever After." And that has helped her with her Skinny Girl Margarita line, even a talk show.

Beverly Hills housewife Lisa Vanderpump. She`s spinning off a reality show based on her restaurant, Sur. And of course, Kandi Burruss of the "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" - she has a spin-off reality show called "The Candy Factory."

And that was just picked up for yet another season, proof once again that reality fame certainly can pay off.

Well, tonight, the stars shine for charity. Kelly Ripa, Michael J. Fox, Matt Dillon and a slew of stars all join forces with the global finance firm BTIG for its 10th Commission Charity Day Event. Great, great day.

The stars raised money from the trading day for their own charities. Kelly Ripa and Michael J. Fox revealed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT why this event means so much.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KELLY RIPA, HOST, "LIVE! WITH KELLY": It`s a disease that affects about 1.5 million people a year, and 90 percent of them are women.

I just think that with the amount of money that`s going to so many other different diseases, surely, we can get a little more vocal and help find an effective treatment or cure for lupus.

MICHAEL J. FOX, ACTOR: We`re grateful that they`ve included us, the Michael J. Fox Parkinson`s Foundation in their group of charities that they support.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I`m happy to report this year`s charity day is a huge success. BTIG tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT the event raised over $4 million this year, all of which will go to the various charitable causes.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JENNIE GARTH, ACTRESS: I`m not ashamed to talk about it and I think that by being open and honest with what I`m going through, maybe it helps somebody else.

I know I`ve heard from a lot of people that it helps them with maybe what they`re going through. I`m not afraid to talk about it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, the world`s worst song? I`ve got to say anyone, I mean, anybody can be famous these days, even if they put together a really awful song.

Well, two teens did. They put together a brand-new viral sensation called "Hot Problems." It`s all the rage right now for probably being one of the worst songs you`ve of heard.

So why do people keep clicking on it? Here`s CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT to explain.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Got a lot to live up to -

(MUSIC)

Does it deserve the title "Worst Song Ever"?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What the hell did I just watch?

MOOS: You just watched "Hot Problems," about how hard it is to be hot.

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: These two tone-deaf (EXPLETIVE DELETED).

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Then they decided to open their mouths and produce this.

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I don`t even know why it exists.

MOOS: So that everyone on the Web can talk about it. Meet the high school seniors with the hot problems.

(on camera) You do consider yourselves hot girls or you don`t?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I wouldn`t say we`re that hot girl, but there`s something about it.

MOOS (voice-over): Lauren and Drew are California girls who wrote the lyrics in two hours and recorded the song at a friend`s studio just for fun, they say.

(on camera) Did you guys ever mean to be singers?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No, not at all. We really didn`t consider ourselves musically talented.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.

MOOS: Neither does most of the Internet. One critic posted bleeding ears with three words, "Make it stop."

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Their voice? (UNINTELLIGIBLE) singing? They`re so stupid!

MOOS (on camera): Can`t anyone say anything nice?

(voice-over) Yes. We found someone who asked, "Is it bad I found this hilarious? Methinks this is a joke."

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I guess can you say it`s a joke.

MOOS: They didn`t seem sure.

(MUSIC)

People are comparing to Rebecca Black`s much ridiculed hit.

(MUSIC)

MOOS: It may not be flattery but others are imitating "Hot Problems."

(SINGING)

MOOS (on camera): How did you feel seeing some of the reviews that said things like, This is the death of music"?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: All the negative criticism, we`re just kind of brushing it off our shoulders.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I would rather go to a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) barber shop and let Stevie Wonder give me a free haircut before I listen to that (EXPLETIVE DELETED).

(SINGING)

MOOS: He`s hot. Can`t get it out of my head.

(MUSIC)
