Hello, and thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big news breaking tonight - Deion`s domestic drama.
NFL legend Deion Sanders is pleading for someone to intervene in what has become a real life war of the roses. He and his wife Pilar are locked in a bitter divorce battle while living under the same roof, now, granted that this is a mansion.
But now, feud has apparently gotten physical. Just last night, Deion`s wife was arrested, accused of assaulting Deion right in front of their two young sons.
Now, she`s got a mug shot. He`s got a series of photo documenting the aftermath. But it was Deion`s play-by-plate during last night`s explosive altercation that still has a lot of people buzzing tonight.
Was he just protecting himself, or was he stepping out of bounds?
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over) They`ve gone from the occasionally bickering reality show couple -
PILAR SANDERS, DEION SANDERS` WIFE: Deion, can you please get up and help me?
DEION SANDERS, NFL FOOTBALL STAR: I`m not helping.
HAMMER: To the modern day "War of the Roses."
D. SANDERS: She tried to bite me when I was getting out of my room.
HAMMER: Hall of Fame football star, Deion Sanders, is in one huge mess with his estranged wife and awkward housemate, Pilar.
She`s been arrested for allegedly attacking him in the house that they are forced to share during their super-bitter divorce.
D. SANDERS: My kid just saw that. I mean, he`s got some light. They just saw (UNINTELLIGIBLE) in his own house, in his room, in my room. It`s sad, man.
HAMMER: Making the story even stranger, Deion documented that alleged knock-down, drag-out fight on Twitter.
ALEXIS TERESZCUK, ENTERTAINMENT EDITOR, "RADAR ONLINE": It does seem a little weird to tweet a domestic violence incident while it`s going on.
HAMMER: Police were called to Deion`s suburban Dallas home last night. As he left the home after the drama, Sanders told Dallas station KXAS that Pilar attacked them while their two sons watched.
D. SANDERS: My son was pleading to her, "Get out of the room. Please leave him alone." And she just jumped me. I promised to God and my mama never to touch her.
HAMMER: Just minutes after police were called, Sanders tweeted, quote, "Pray for me and my kids now. They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She`s going to jail and I`m pressing charges." And Deion appears to be keeping his word.
TERESZCUK: Pilar was arrested on suspicion of assault and family violence, and this is a misdemeanor.
HAMMER: Deion even tweeted a photo of him and his two boys filling out the police report.
D. SANDERS: She got out of jail. I mean, I hate it because it`s my kids` mother. But it`s not even the same person.
HAMMER: But Deion is not the only one getting ready for a fight. Pilar Sanders`s attorney told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "I can tell you that there are two sides to every story and the truth will come out in court."
TERESZCUK: They have been nonstop accusing each other of everything under the sun.
HAMMER: Deion and Pilar married in 1999. They had a reality show on the Oxygen Network, "Deion and Pilar Primetime Love."
But soon after Deion filed for divorce from his wife last December, things got very ugly, very quickly.
TERESZCUK: They are fighting tooth and nail for the money, the house and everything that goes along with it. It is not an amicable divorce.
HAMMER: In February, Sanders` adult daughter went on Twitter and blasted her stepmother.
TERESZCUK: Deion`s daughter from a previous relationship even tweeted calling Pilar a gold-digging hoe.
HAMMER: And the stepmother hit back.
TERESZCUK: Pilar filed a $200 million defamation suit.
HAMMER: Making this divorce even uglier, Deion and Pilar are living in the same house. Bad idea, especially if you remember how the war of the roses ended.
Now, Deion says he hopes Monday night`s incident helps get his wife out of the house once and for all.
D. SANDERS: Is somebody going to die and it`s going to be me before the court can do something and get this woman out of the house? It`s absurd.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Wow. Somebody`s going to die. Well, as Deion`s domestic divorce drama gets even uglier, you`ve got to wonder where it goes from here.
Let me bring in Sunny Hostin, who is in Atlanta tonight. She`s a former prosecutor and a legal contributor to "In Session" on Tru TV.
Also, we have Pat Lalama, investigative journalist with the Crime Network Investigation Discovery.
So as we just heard, Deion was live tweeting the play-by-play of that big blowup saying he was trying to prevent his wife from spinning the story to police.
I want to look again at the first tweet that Deion sent out. He said, "Pray for me and the kids now. They just witnessed their mother and friend jump me in my room. She`s going to jail and I`m pressing charges."
Really shocking to me to see a celebrity using Twitter in this way, Sunny. You see that, though, and do you want to scream, "Hey, stay off Twitter, Deion." Or do you think actually he made a pretty smart move so he could show that this is what happened in his view, and Pilar obviously did get arrested after all.
SUNNY HOSTIN, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION": You know, I will scream, "Stay off Twitter, Deion." I mean, this is so terrible. It`s such a hot mess. And what I think is so offensive at least to people like me sort of watching from afar is there are two children that are discussed in this tweet on this Twitter account.
Have, you know, some respect for the relationship that children have with their mothers, with their fathers. Even if you`re fighting with each other, those children need to have a relationship with both parents.
And to sort of put them in the middle of it is certainly not in their best interests. And I`ve got to tell you, I`m really, are really appalled. I`ve heard of bitter divorces, but for me, A.J., this one takes the cake.
HAMMER: And you know, I understand that view point, but at the same time, I`m trying to understand where he`s coming from claiming, at least, that he was essentially documenting what happened.
Pat Lalama, what do you think? Could this all just backfire on him?
PAT LALAMA, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: There you are, looking for the good in everybody. I`m telling you, in this particular case, Neon Deion is showing his true colors which is a man of absolutely character.
I found this little quote where he says, "Thank God for this platform to issue the truth." He`s clearly using technology as his own little PR machine to try to build the case or preemptive strike, take the spotlight against him or off of him and put it on his estranged wife.
And you want to know something? They can - and any cop, by the way, will tell you that these matters are never black and white. There`s always something in between. We don`t know the truth yet.
But I`ll tell you one thing. There`s nothing more egregious on the planet earth than pinning children in the middle of a messy divorce and he takes the cake for that.
HAMMER: Well, things are certainly getting shaken up. Late today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned that police have actually banned Pilar from the home for the next 61 days.
Sounds like a good idea. Sunny, does Pilar just need to be the one to packs her bags and stay out now? Or should Deion leave that house?
HOSTIN: Look, I know someone needs to leave that house, again, because the question for me is really what is in the best interest of these children?
You`ve got two boys that obviously witnessed some sort of domestic violence. Who knows what is else they have witnessed? That scars a child for life.
I know this having prosecuted so many cases involving crimes against women and children. So my sense, A.J., is someone has to get out of that house. If it`s Pilar by court order for 60 days, so be it.
HAMMER: Yes. Well, that looks like it`s the case right now. Maybe it will calm things down. Who knows if Deion is going to stay off Twitter?
But here`s another thing that he did tweet, "I`m sad my boys witnessed this mess, but I warned the police department here that she was going to try and harm me and my boys."
All right. Pat, we realize, no good for the children. I think that`s a given and we all accept that. But separate from the children, who is the bigger loser here in your mind, Pilar or Deion?
LALAMA: Neither. I mean, they are both losers. This is a horrific thing. They need to get away from each other. As Sunny says, there`s no answer here.
He is using the media. She might have some sort of violent propensity. The fact of the matter is, get away from each other. Stop letting us cover these kinds of events and go silently into the night and take care of your children.
HOSTIN: Or get some therapy. Get some therapy. Do something.
LALAMA: Yes, absolutely.
HAMMER: No, Sunny, go ahead. Do you see one side as coming out stronger here?
HOSTIN: I really don`t. I mean, certainly, when there`s the allegation that Pilar was the aggressor and she assaulted Deion Sanders in his own room, that`s very troubling because we know when it comes to domestic violence, it`s never just a man hitting a woman.
Women abuse men as well. They need help. This family`s in a state of crisis at this point. Having prosecuted, again, a lot of these crimes against children and domestic violence crimes, it`s time now for them to separate because I don`t want to be talking about something even worse next time, A.J.
HAMMER: No, we don`t. And it`s being forced upon them, that separation. And again, we did reach out to Pilar Sanders for comment. Her attorney tells us there are two sides to every story.
Sunny, Pat, thank you both so much. More dramatic SHOWBIZ justice news. We`ve got to talk about this tonight. Brand-new questions today after Jennifer Hudson takes the stand in the trial against the man accused of murdering her mother, brother, and seven-year-old nephew.
The question is, could J-Hud`s star power actually sway the jury over the evidence?
Demi Lovato drops a massive bombshell about young Hollywood and drugs. This is just remarkable to me. Are stars actually getting drugs right from restaurants and clubs?
One on one with Katharine McPhee. The "Smash" star opens up about her "Idol" past.

KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: Watching it, it`s so - there`s so much anxiety. I don`t know how those kids get up there and do it. And I`m thinking, Katharine is doing it. Why?

KATHARINE MCPHEE, ACTRESS: I was a different person. Don`t ask me to do that again.

HAMMER: That is the very talented Demi Lovato. The former Disney star quickly shot to fame, but it was just all too much for the teenager who ended up in rehab.
And now, Demi has come out with some shocking revelations about Hollywood and drugs.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, Demi`s drug revelations.
Demi Lovato has been very open in the past about her battles with addiction, cutting, and an eating disorder. But now, the 19-year-old is dropping a bombshell about the dark side of life in Hollywood.
She gave a brand-new interview where Lovato reveals that she was exposed to both drugs and alcohol in the clubs of Hollywood all while she was underage. But is that kind of pressure part of the price of fame?
With me in New York, I`m so thrilled to welcome country music star, Lee Brice. He has a great new album that is out today. Look at that. It is "Lee Brice: Hard to Love."
Great having you here. Congratulations on the album and your very first number one single. How awesome is that? You`ve got to be feeling so good today.
LEE BRICE COUNTRY MUSIC SUPERSTAR: It`s so awesome. It really is. It`s been a long time coming. This is not overnight success. We`ve been here a long time.
HAMMER: Fame, so far, seems to be going well for you. Demi Lovato`s revelations, I`m sure, hit you pretty hard, too. And I want to read to you what she exactly told this magazine.
It`s the British magazine, "Fabulous." She said, "Promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs. They wanted me to come back so I would be seen there. They were basically kissing my (EXPLETIVE DELETED)."
"I thought they were my friends. I thought I was having fun. Being a celebrity can be dangerous. Nobody says no."
It can be dangerous. And Demi underage, which I think makes it all the more shocking. But we do hear these stories, Lee. You are a star. Certainly, people are trying to give you things and have you do things for them. Is it something that you`ve experienced yourself?
BRICE: Well, definitely, you know, since the beginning. Of course, you know, it never can be right whenever - especially this - you know, she was underage.
And how underage she was, who knows? But it`s truthfully - that`s wrong in itself. But as a grown man, I can say, "Look, you`re a club owner and you want to offer me a drink" or something like that.
HAMMER: She`s a kid.
BRICE: She`s a kid. To me, at that age, you really don`t know it yet, but you`re really impressionable. You don`t know what it`s going to do to your life, really, at that age. You know, a lot of people say you`re an adult at 18 but you know -
HAMMER: It`s scary.
BRICE: It`s scary.
HAMMER: And it`s a real cautionary tale. And shame on whoever would take advantage of a young girl like that. Another young star making big news today is Justin Bieber.
Now, he had sent out these tweets of sorts that were taunts in a way to this woman who claimed that she had his baby. Of course, he denied that, but he now just revealed that I wrote a song about the scandal.
Look, as a country music artist, you write about life. You write about the ups and downs and what is going on. I get that. But is there a risk at putting to music a scandal like this, something so serious?
BRICE: Well, you know, you have to write - you write what you - you know, if he`s anything like me, you write who you are and what you`ve been through. And a lot of it can be embellished like a movie, you know, a true story movie.
They want to put a little drama in it. But you know, publicity, it`s like - it`s a song, you know.
HAMMER: I think it`s dangerous just because it could come back to haunt him at some point. But how much of your life do we get to hear on the new album, "Hard to Love?"
BRICE: A lot, actually. You know, I used to be the kind of guy, the guy to go rock and party. That`s all I was about, you know, and music. And then, now, my family is a huge - just, you know, I`ve got a family now and it changed my life over the last year-and-a-half. And you see that a lot on the album.
HAMMER: And we hear it and it`s fantastic. As I was telling you before we got started, I was listening to it today. And again, being number one, can`t argue with that. Congratulations to you, man.
BRICE: Thank you.
HAMMER: Really great to have you here.
BRICE: You, too, man. Thank you for having me.
HAMMER: My pleasure. And make sure you check out Lee`s new album. There it is. It`s called "Lee Brice: Hard to Love."
Well, tonight, "People" magazine is just hours away from naming the world`s most beautiful woman of 2012. How about Angelina Jolie?
I mean, think about it. She`s stunning. She`s a super mom, newly engaged to Brad Pitt, of course. But then, she`s got a tougher question to answer. What should she wear for the big day?
I`ve got the former stars of "America`s Next Top Model," Ms. J, Mr. Jay and Nigel Barker to help you out, Angelina.

SOFIA VERGARA, ACTRESS: Pantene invigorates the superficial (UNINTELLIGIBLE) by rejuvenating the (UNINTELLIGIBLE). And we like that. Yay!
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: And we love Sofia Vergara. She was just hilarious when she hosted "Saturday Night Live." This woman has got it all. She`s funny. She`s beautiful. No question one of the sexiest women in Hollywood.
But could Sofia Vergara be the most beautiful woman on the planet? Well, tonight, we`re just hours away from finding out "People" magazine`s choice for the world`s most beautiful women of 2012, which got us thinking here at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, who should it be?
Well, the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff has been doing research. And we`ve got predictions tonight. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner is joining me from Hollywood.
I think, Nischelle, that people made a great choice last year. That was J. Lo. She had a hot album coming out. She had "American Idol" going on, a good family life at that time as far as we knew.
And of course, she is beautiful. Who, in your mind, has that kind of potential this year?
NISCHELLE TURNER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: This is tough, A.J., but I love this game, because there`s so many talented and beautiful women in Hollywood.
I think though that we have cracked the code. First up, let`s see, who else? Angelina Jolie, of course. She`s already one of the most beautiful women on the planet. She`s engaged to the hottest guy on the planet.
She`s a mother of six. She was just named special envoy to the U.N. So basically, she`s a superhero and I think that she`s a strong contender this year, A.J., don`t you?
HAMMER: Yes, I think she`s always a good choice but I also happen to be a huge Sofia Vergara fan, a huge fan of "Modern Family." She`s been on the cover of "People en Espanol 50 Most Beautiful People." A mom, hilarious, having another unbelievable year on "Modern Family" and hosting "Saturday Night Live," getting rave reviews, Nischelle.
TURNER: You know what, it is so hard for me to disagree with all of that, A.J. But I kind of have a favorite here, and it`s Beyonce.
She`s a new mom, too, Blue Ivy Carter, that cute little baby. She came out looking amazing, post-baby. And I know firsthand that Beyonce takes time for her fans.
I`ve seen her reach out to them when no cameras around. And to me, that just says a lot about her character. So I think that Beyonce is a great choice.
HAMMER: Yes. I`m liking our odds all around here, Nischelle. We will find out if we are right tomorrow when "People" reveals its choice for the most beautiful woman for 2012. Nischelle Turner, thanks so much as always.
Now, the SHOWBIZ lineup at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
Stunning new questions just a day after Jennifer Hudson took the stand against the man accused of killing her mother, her brother, and her seven- year-old nephew. Could J-Hud`s star power actually sway the jury?
Kim Kardashian caught on camera hand in hand with Kanye West. This could be love. But if it`s all for her reality show, I`m thinking this thing could blow up in her face like her marriage to Kris Humphries. What do you think? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.
(MUSIC)
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you for watching. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big news breaking tonight - star power, star witness.
Just one day after Jennifer Hudson`s gut-wrenching testimony about the murders of her mother, her brother, and her seven-year-old nephew, allegedly at the hands of her former brother-in-law, there are shocking new questions about this case.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there is very little CSI type of evidence. There is no slam dunk here to lock up the guy believed to have shot and killed the Hudson family in cold blood.
So tonight. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, will Jennifer`s star power actually outweigh the evidence?
Right now, from Atlanta, Sunny Hostin. She`s a legal analyst for "In Session" on our sister network, Tru TV. In Hollywood, Pat Lalama. She`s a correspondent with the Crime Network Investigation Discovery.
Well, guys, the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT justice team just uncovered some indisputable facts in this case I want to run down for you. Oscar and Grammy winner, Jennifer Hudson gives emotional testimony about how William Balfour allegedly verbally abused her sister for years.
Outside, of course, there is this media camp set up. You have journalists from all over the world. They are waiting to report every twist and turn in what is such an awful case.
But then you put that against the fact that there is weak DNA evidence. There is not much physical evidence here and there were no eyewitnesses.
Sunny, knowing just these facts, which wins out to you? Sympathy for a superstar or facts about the alleged killer of Jennifer Hudson`s family?
HOSTIN: You know, I`m not sure. I will tell you, having tried many cases and covered many cases, jurors do want that CSI-type evidence.
They expect fingerprints. They expect DNA. They want gun residue. They want that because they see it on television all the time.
And when you think about Jennifer Hudson as a celebrity in the courtroom every single day since we know she`s going to be in the courtroom every single day, I can`t imagine that that doesn`t have some effect on this jury.
But not necessarily just this celebrity effect. The same effect that victims` families have on jurors all the time, because, A.J., bottom line is, when victims` families appear inside a courtroom day in and day out, juries notice that. They care about that. And sometimes, they do want those families to have justice. And so -
HAMMER: Sure.
HOSTIN: And so I think that`s something that this jury will certainly consider, the fact that Jennifer Hudson is there.
HAMMER: Yes. And whether right or wrong, because, certainly, they are supposed to ignore all of that, all of what you just said amplified by the fact that she is this megastar.
And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT will be right there in Chicago for this entire case, even though Jennifer Hudson has already taken the stand. And CNN`s Ted Rowlands, who`s out there covering the trial, says that what Jennifer doesn`t say could really have an even stronger effect on the jury.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
TED ROWLANDS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Whether or not her schedule will allow her to be here for the entire three to four weeks remains to be seen.
But her presence makes a huge difference for the prosecution. I tell you the jury was absolutely riveted on her on the stand. And I guarantee you, they will be looking at her reaction as this proceeds.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Certainly. And they won`t just be looking at Jennifer in the court as many jurors did today. But they are also taking glances at her reality star fiance.
So Pat, do you agree with Ted, Jennifer`s presence will have a huge effect on the jury, possibly even trumping the evidence?
LALAMA: No. You know what? Let me just say this. I have faith in the jury. I think the jury over time will get accustomed to her being there.
You know, they`ve rolled her out in the beginning. The big drama, it`s been there. I think, over time, they will start looking back towards the prosecution and defense tables and the witness stand.
You know, I think, though, that circumstantial cases can be won. I understand what Sunny`s saying. People watch TV. They want blood. They want DNA. But I do think circumstantial cases are winnable.
I do think that the defense will implore the jury not to pay so much attention to star power and we`ll just have to see how it plays out.
But honestly, having sat through so many celebrity cases, I think, over time, they will forget that she`s there and that, yes, she is a victim - clearly, she a victim having lost her family. But that the star power will diminish over time.
HAMMER: And you can already hear the defense saying all of that in their closing arguments. You can hear the judge saying that when he hands his instructions off to the jury.
And our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall is filling up with reactions to the great star debate. Here`s one from Britain M. who writes this, "This is nothing to do with star power. She is now just simply Jennifer, a woman seeking justice for her family members. I hope he, William Balfour, gets the maximum punishments."
Kay K. agrees saying, "Her star power shouldn`t have any bearing on this case. She is human and justice should be served."
Now, Britain and Kay obviously make a lot of sense there in their posts. But the big difference is, they are not in court. And while the case - yes, it should be decided on the facts alone. We all know it`s not always that simple.
Sunny, let me play devil`s advocate and look at it from the other side here. Do you think that the jury could possibly be harder on the prosecution simply because of Jennifer`s star power so as not to be seen to be playing favorites?
HOSTIN: I don`t think so. I don`t think so. I also believe - as Pat mentioned, I believe in juries. I believe in jurors. They take their oath extremely seriously, having spoken to so many jurors that have deliberated in cases.
And I don`t think that they are going to make the prosecution or hold the prosecution to a higher standard. It`s hard to do that, A.J., because the standard is beyond a reasonable doubt.
HAMMER: Right.
HOSTIN: Having shouldered that burden myself, I can tell you it`s a very high standard and they will hold certainly the prosecution to that standard.
HAMMER: And hopefully, justice shall prevail here. Sunny Hostin, Pat Lalama, thank you both, as always.
From an "American Idol" celebrity speaking out in court about her family tragedy to an "Idol" SHOWBIZ newsmaker. Tonight, SHOWBIZ goes one on one with "Idol" finalist and now "Smash" star, Katharine McPhee.
Katharine is telling us some serious "Idol" secrets tonight and weighing in on the show`s competition. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter just sat down with Katharine. The first thing on both their minds - just how much and how quickly singing competitions are changing?
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
WYNTER: What do you think of now when you see the way singing competitions have evolved? You see huge names attached from J. Lo to Steven Tyler.
MCPHEE: I know. I guess Britney Spears is coming on "X Factor." It`s kind of fun. It`s like the business is always evolving. It`s always changing. I personally love watching Christina and Cee-Lo and Blake and Adam.
WYNTER: I can tell "The Voice" is your favorite. What are your favorites?
MCPHEE: I like all of them. To be honest, I only get to watch "The Voice" because it`s like the lead-in for our show. And I`ve really kind of fallen in love because it`s been - you know, it`s having the TV on to catch our show air. I mean, obviously, I`ll always like "Idol" because it was a wonderful experience for me.
WYNTER: And watching it is so - there`s so much anxiety. I don`t know how those kids get up there and do it. And then I`m thinking Katharine`s doing it.
(CROSS TALK)
MCPHEE: I have no idea. I was a different person. Don`t ask me to do that because I couldn`t do it again. You become - when you go through something like that, you probably become more and more insecure.
Every time you get on the stage, you`re like, "Wait. Oh, gosh. So many things could go wrong right now." The more knowledge you have - I think that these kids, me in particular, was one who didn`t have very much performance experience.
They have so little experience, but they don`t really have the knowledge of what could go wrong. So -
WYNTER: That`s why they can get through it. Well, you were a trooper on that stage. I remember watching you and rooting for you.
MCPHEE: Thanks.
WYNTER: What about now, with everything that you`ve accomplished? Is that something that perhaps you want to do in the future, in terms of being a judge and offer advice in some capacity?
MCPHEE: No, no. I`d probably be too mean.
WYNTER: Honesty is the best policy.
MCPHEE: I`d be too brutally honest. And then people would be like, "Well, you weren`t really good when you did this." And I`d be like, "You`re right."
WYNTER: Oh, gosh. No.
MCPHEE: It`s really tough. It`s totally - it seems so much easier being behind - you know, watching it on TV. It`s so much harder on those shows being the contestants.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: It can`t be easy at all, singing your heart out on stage in front of the entire country. That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Kareen Wynter with "Idol" finalist and "Smash" star, Katharine McPhee. "Smash" - such a cool show.
Well, we move on now to "Seven Days of Sex." Yes, you heard me right. It`s a provocative new reality show that uses sex to save marriages. One week, sex every single day. Does it really work?
1 Also, Rosie O`Donnell hating on Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay is about to play Elizabeth Taylor in the new movie. It`s making Rosie furious.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She`s our generation`s Elizabeth Taylor.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my god.
(CROSS TALK)
ROSIE O`DONNELL, TV PERSONALITY: You`re a crack head. You get out of here.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Lindsay as Elizabeth? Why Rosie thinks it`s an outrageous idea. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: Report: Megan Fox pregnant with first child. "Voice" contestant, Tony Lucca, talks to SHOWBIZ about Christina Aguilera`s harsh remarks.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
TONY LUCCA, CONTESTANT, "THE VOICE": (UNINTELLIGIBLE) between her and I. You know, obviously, people read into how she came at me two weeks ago. But hey, that`s - you know, they are all entitled and that`s fine.
But, no. I think that the respect has been sort of recalibrated again.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
GALEN TIPPS, REALITY TV STAR, "SEVEN DAYS OF SEX": You`re in the middle of something, so you take a shower first and then I`ll come up later. See if we can make it fun.
MARILYN TIPPS, REALITY TV STAR, "SEVEN DAYS OF SEX": Well, if it`s not fun -
G. TIPPS: Of course, it`s going to be, but it`s about the interaction along with the fun.
M. TIPPS: Don`t be so deep about all that stuff. It drives me crazy.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Call it a sexual intervention. It`s a brand-new reality TV show that`s supposed to give couples like Marilyn and Galen that you see here the sexual secret to saving their marriage.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And tonight, seven days of sex. Yes, you heard me right.
Imagine taking part in a reality TV show where you agree to have sex for seven days with your partner and then talk about it while the reality show cameras are rolling.
That`s exactly what Marilyn and Galen signed on to do to try to save their marriage. The question is, did it work?
We have the stars of "Seven Days of Sex" joining me tonight from Hollywood. Thank you for being here, both of you.
M. TIPPS: Thank you.
G. TIPPS: Thank you.
HAMMER: So listen, both of you guys came into your marriage having been married before. And in the beginning of the show, you actually talk about wanting to do whatever it took to save your marriage.
So Marilyn, I`ve got to ask you when so many reality TV couples are blown apart by doing a reality show, what made you think that documenting your sex life on a reality TV show would actually keep you guys together? Figuratively, of course.
M. TIPPS: Oh, gosh. Yes, figuratively. Great question. You know, there comes a point, especially in a blended family, that you`re thrown into real life and kids so fast and it`s so serious because you`re dealing with teenagers and all their stuff.
We, I think, looked at it as, let`s have a little fun. And we knew how crazy it was going to be and how hard it was going to be, but we ended up laughing so much and doing the silliest stuff.
And sometimes, you just don`t take the time to do that with each other because you`re so busy with your normal lives.
HAMMER: So it takes a reality show. And by the way, you`re teeing up a lot of jokes that I`m letting slide by here. I do need to give you some credit. Part of the therapy here, I guess, in doing the experiment on this TV show was getting out of your comfort zone.
We get to see you visiting a lingerie store to pick out something for Marilyn. I want to see how that went down. Let`s roll that, Charles.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
M. TIPPS: These little pink and black outfits. Galen is very old- fashioned. Something a little more risque. I want to break that and push him over the edge.
We can go for some cute naughty outfits. So you`re looking more into the red or the black?
G. TIPPS: Well, we can do a red. You know, I`m not going to like that. I think we`ll go with red.
We do have the matching outfits for him to wear as well.
I appreciate that, but no thank you. Thank you very much.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: I`m thinking that you didn`t buy the matching outfit, Galen. Look, I`m watching you. You look like you`re ready to blow your brains out. Was it really that bad?
G. TIPPS: You know, as Marilyn said, I am a little old-fashioned. And yes, I did want to blow my brains out, but it was just one of those experiences that it took every bit of my, you know - I don`t even know what the word is.
I just had every ounce of my being to go in there and do that. And I thought, if this is something that`s important to Marilyn, I`m going to go ahead and do this. So -
HAMMER: Yes. I`m watching you there, man. You`re looking around like, "Where is that lever that I pull to have the safe fall on my head."
M. TIPPS: You have no idea.
HAMMER: Bottom line how this all worked out, you tried it, seven days of sex. Marilyn, did it help your marriage?
M. TIPPS: It brought Galen definitely from a - Galen`s a very serious person. He`s very - everything is done for a reason. I think brought him into the playful mood a lot more and it takes him a while to get there.
Oh, my gosh. At the very beginning, it was so awkward and it`s so funny and hilarious.
HAMMER: But I`m trying to figure - I`m trying to figure out if it kept you together, because I`ve got to tell you doing our research today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT producers digging around, we found your names listed on an upcoming episode of "Divorce Court." So Galen, can you explain that?
G. TIPPS: Well, we were having a lot of problems. And I would say over the last year, it`s been very, very difficult. And I mean, we did get to a point where we were thinking about splitting.
HAMMER: OK. But bottom line, you`re still together?
G. TIPPS: Yes.
M. TIPPS: Oh.
G. TIPPS: We`re still together and I`m really glad that this - yes, I`m really glad that this show and this opportunity came up because it did definitely make a difference.
HAMMER: We will look forward to seeing how it all went together and made it happen for you guys. Marilyn and Galen Tipps, thank you, guys, so much. You can catch the premiere of "Seven Days of Sex" on Lifetime this Thursday.
Well, from sex to sexy. I`m talking about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, their upcoming wedding of the century. It will be Hollywood`s version of the royal wedding.
Everyone has an idea of what Angelina should wear on her epic wedding day. But I assembled a fashion dream team to weigh in on the great dress debate.
I asked former "America`s Next Top Model" stars, J. Alexander, Jay Manuel and Nigel Barker to tell me what they want to see Angie wearing. Here`s what these fashion all-stars told me.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: So what should the dress be? I want to hear from you, guys.
JAY MANUEL, FORMER JUDGE, "AMERICA`S NEXT TOP MODEL": You know, it`s so funny. When I thought of Angelina, people typically think Versace. But I think Reem Acra. Reem Acra would design a gown that would be stunning - especially for her legs and her body in terms of silhouette.
NIGEL BARKER, FMR. JUDGE, "AMERICA`S NEXT TOP MODEL": Absolutely. As Pamella Roland, who is a designer who I`m shooting an ad campaign for this week is actually designing one for her. So we`re going to see if, hopefully, she might go for that.
J. ALEXANDER, FMR. JUDGE, "AMERICA`S NEXT TOP MODEL": Girl, Angelina should know how to do what I do, make your damn dress yourself. There you go. Make your own frock.
HAMMER: What if she wants you to make the dress, Ms. J?
ALEXANDER: I would be happy to make the dress because it would be quite fabulous and quite fierce. If not, then go to Kelly Barrera(ph).
MANUEL: People don`t realize that Ms. J, because he`s been around all these huge designer`s draping gowns and fabrics like these dresses and stuff that he wears.
He really is wearing them himself, especially when I get the knock on my dressing room drawer. And he is just standing there in flip-flops and a gown. Not a sight you really want to see on a daily basis.
HAMMER: You want to model something for Angelina. You`ll keep trying them on for her and she`ll say, "Yes, that one."
HAMMER: Well, there you go. I`m sure whatever Angelina wears, she will look amazing.
Tonight, Kimye, going strong? Brand-new evidence that Kim K and Kanye West`s romance is heating up. SHOWBIZ dares just how long will it last? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
This is the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: Zach Galifianakis` Web series, "Between Two Ferns," to become Comedy Central show.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Tonight, the brand-new Kim Kardashian-Kanye West PDA video. Take a look at this. Kimye showing some love in public. They are holding hands in downtown Manhattan. The paparazzi going wild, of course, trying to get that shot. But why are Kim and Kanye getting so affectionate on camera?
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner joins me now from Hollywood. Nischelle what is the real story behind this new video?
TURNER: Oh, A.J. First of all, I don`t know why I love this story so much. But Kim and Kanye basically were meeting up with the entire Kardashian family in New York to celebrate the opening of a new restaurant owned by Kourtney`s boyfriend.
And get this, as if we didn`t know this would happen soon enough, there are brand-new reports tonight that claim reality show cameras were taping the entire thing.
HAMMER: Wow, shocking. Here`s my question. With all those reality cameras around, how real do you think Kim and Kanye`s romance is?
TURNER: You know, I laugh at this, but I actually think that this is not a reality stunt. But here`s the thing. I am all kinds of irritated that Kim would risk putting her romance in front of the reality TV again. I mean, who can forget the fairytale marriage to Kris Humphries, that big old production we saw, that ended after just 72 days?
HAMMER: You know, you kind of damned if you do, damned if you don`t in her case.
TURNER: Yes.
HAMMER: The SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page has been blowing up with people wondering where Kim and Kanye will be in 72 days.
Pamela M. writing, "It`s a publicity stunt. Everything she does is for attention and to keep her name in the headlines."
However, Ashley M. on the other side saying, "I like Kim. I don`t think it`s a stunt and I won`t be one of those people to judge either one of them."
So Nischelle, what then is your best guest of exactly how long Kim`s relationship with Kanye will last?
TURNER: I will judge, A.J., so I think this romance is actually real enough to get them past that infamous 72-day mark. But after that, I don`t know. I`m not sure how much longer it will last.
HAMMER: We`ll be watching the calendars. Thank you, Nischelle. And we move now from Kimye`s red hot PDA to Rosie O`Donnell`s red hot rant.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She`s our generation`s Elizabeth Taylor. She`s the only -
(CROSS TALK)
O`DONNELL: You`re out of your mind. You get out of here.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Well, is Lindsay Lohan the next Elizabeth Taylor? Why Rosie O`Donnell thinks that idea is insane.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Tonight, Rosie O`Donnell`s Li-Lo`s slam. Rosie is all fired-up over the decision to cast Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor in her upcoming Lifetime movie.
Rosie thinks there is just no way that Lindsay can pull off the role. You`ve got to watch what she told Matt Lauer this morning on "Today."
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
O`DONNELL: I feel very sorry for her. I think she needs a lot of help. She needs a lot of time away.
MATT LAUER, CO-ANCHOR, THE "TODAY" SHOW: Is it a good idea to cast her in this movie?
O`DONNELL: No, because she`s had trouble doing every single movie, including "SNL." She was out and not at rehearsal. I think she`s not in a place to work.
HAMMER: That`s an interesting perspective. I love Rosie. I do think that Lindsay has shown that she`s a good actor. May not seem entirely fair to shut her down like that. Hopefully she`s given the chance to prove herself to everybody. But yes, I agree. She does need some help.
That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. You can catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT week nights at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
Stay right here for "DR. DREW," next. Tonight, John Edwards` secret love affair and dramatic trial. Why men risk everything for sex. It`s starting now.
