The Return of Hollywood`s Bad Boy; Stars are Baring It All; Octomom, the Stripper?; Miss Ohio`s Stunning Miss USA Answer
Aired June 04, 2012 - 23:00 ET
THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.
A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Tonight, the return of Hollywood`s bad boy. Charlie Sheen returns to the spotlight, but could he back to his old partying ways? Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is revealing the clues to why Charlie may be leading two-and-a-half lives.
(MUSIC)
Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer. Tonight, stars are baring it all. I mean, they are fully clothed, but their faces are naked. Not a drop of makeup. No Hollywood special effects. It`s just their faces, au naturel.
But what you may find hard to believe is how these makeup-free stars are actually turning their fresh-faced looks in to big bucks. Tonight, we are blowing the lid off the big business of baring it all.
But first, Charlie Sheen is putting it all on the line once again. He`s got a new show. He`s got a new publicity tour, and of course, a brand-new round of wild reports that say Charlie is back to his old tricks.
You may remember his spiral of partying, drugs and porn stars that got Sheen kicked off of his old sitcom, "Two and a Half Men" - that was then.
Now, Charlie is getting set to debut in his new show, "Anger Management," and he`s addressing the rumblings that he hasn`t changed. But is he just proving the critics right? Or is Sheen really winning this time around?
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
RUSSELL BRAND, COMEDIAN: Charlie Sheen, everyone.
(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)
HAMMER (voice-over): Charlie Sheen was greeted like a conquering warlock at the MTV Movie Awards last night. And as he presented an award, he wasted no time reminding us of the Charlie Sheen we all know.
This year`s instant cult classic is a party movie, the kind of movie I feel very qualified to speak about. Let`s face it. My life has been a party movie.
Sheen`s life certainly has been a party movie, if party movies consisted of trashed hotel rooms, a high-profile firing from "Two and a Half Men" and lots of crazy phrases.
SHEEN: My plan is gold. Walk in to my plan and you`re going to win, win, win.
HAMMER: But today, with Sheen joking about his wild past, new reports of Sheen partying are starting to pop up again and he is outright flaunting his party boy image in this ad for Fiat.
SHEEN: I love being under house arrest.
HAMMER: Considering his partying already killed his TV career once, tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is asking, as Sheen prepares to return to TV this month with his new sitcom -
UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: Who`s the stupid therapist here?
SHEEN: I guess that would be me.
HAMMER: Has he learned anything at all?
MARC MALKIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "E! ONLINE": Now, he`s having fun. You know, Charlie is doing what Charlie does. He`s just living life the way he wants to.
HAMMER: We certainly don`t need to get into the string of embarrassing headlines and outrageous statements that led to Sheen getting the boot from "Two and a Half Men" last year.
SHEEN: Oh, come on. I wasn`t finished. That was just last week.
HAMMER: Sheen`s new sitcom, "Anger Management," premiers June 28 on FX. And promos for it aren`t exactly shy about mentioning his train wreck of a life. In fact, one ad literally features Sheen causing a train wreck.
SHEEN: Come on, everyone deserves a 24th chance.
HAMMER: And now that he has gotten his 24th chance, "Radar Online" reports he`s been having epic parties at his house. It`s something other outlets are whispering about as well.
MALKIN: Apparently, right around Mother`s Day or just before Mother`s Day, sources are telling "E! News" that, you know, Charlie did have a big party blowout at his house. It lasted for four days.
HAMMER: Sheen isn`t exactly tripping over himself to deny this. When asked about reports of his partying, Sheen reported to TMZ, "I can`t speak to anyone`s opinion or judgment. I was there. They were not." Missing from that statement, a denial.
MATT LAUER, CO-HOST, THE "TODAY" SHOW: I don`t know one addiction specialist who would tell a guy in your position it is OK to drink.
SHEEN: If you do, I should probably go to that guy.
HAMMER: Plus, in a recent interview with "Today`s" Matt Lauer, Sheen said he`s still drinking.
LAUER: But are you comfortable having a drink, you know, from time to time and not being afraid that you are going to slip back to a much darker place?
SHEEN: Yes. Because I don`t believe that whole piece of fiction that they insist you have an allegiance to, you know - but that`s just me. That`s just me.
MALKIN: Charlie is being Charlie Sheen.
HAMMER: "E`s" Marc Malkin tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, party headlines or not, the folks at "Anger Management" don`t seem too worried about another Sheen meltdown.
MALKIN: When it comes to, YOU KNOW, his new show, "Anger Management," they knew what they were signing up for. This is Charlie Sheen. They knew exactly what they were getting.
HAMMER: So in short, we are free ponder whether Charlie Sheen learned the lessons of his wild history, or if he is doomed to repeat it. But for Sheen, this question is settled.
MALKIN: He hasn`t changed. He hasn`t learned anything because he doesn`t think there was anything to change or learn.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Which is so bizarre to me. Sheen just appears to be up to his old unrepentant partying machine ways. And the question is, now, are we looking at another meltdown? Should the gang at his sitcom be worried?
With me in New York, TV and radio host, Michael Billy. Joining from Hollywood tonight is Kita Williams, a celebrity publicist.
So here, we have reports of four-day bashes at Charlie Sheen`s house, Sheen even hinting that he`s still drinking and he`s embracing all the party image that`s being thrown his way promoting his new sitcom.
Here`s our SHOWBIZ flashpoint - are you worried that Sheen hasn`t changed? Michael, what about you? You have a little experience in this area and have spoken candidly about it before.
MICHAEL BILLY, TV AND RADIO HOST: Sure, I know he hasn`t changed. This is classic alcohol addict behavior. Like I said on the show before, I have been to rehab about five times myself, trying to quit alcohol.
And what he is doing is making deals. I can keep doing this. I can keep doing that. And when you get the pressure you, hold back a little. Maybe you even quit for a month.
But if you don`t appropriately go to rehab, if you don`t seek actual help, you will get back to the same ways. It`s a vicious cycle, and that`s what is happening.
He didn`t get the right type of treatment after he went through all of this social media pressure, after he went through his meltdown. And it`s just going to cycle and cycle.
People on the show should be worried. We should be worried. I`ve always felt this way about him. There is no glimmer of hope. He`s got to get the right psychological help he needs that any alcoholic addict in his position should get.
HAMMER: Yes. And the thing is, you look at the guy and maybe this is the cliched way, but he seems like he does have everything in control and I think he actually does believe it. Kita, are you worried about Charlie Sheen right now?
KITA WILLIAMS, CELEBRITY PUBLICIST: You know, the crazy part is, part of me really does. But then, the other part, as a publicist, I see it this way. Men behaving badly equals big bucks equals publicity.
HAMMER: Oh, yes.
WILLIAMS: You know, and I think what we realize here is that when you do a lot of these antics and you act out, people are really fascinated.
And right now, as a society, we are really fascinated with crazy. And that`s what Charlie Sheen is displaying right now. I think the joke is on us.
I think he wants us to think that he is teetering on the edge, but ultimately, he is really not. He wants to draw us in and I will go with his team winning.
HAMMER: Can you imagine it`s all just a big ruse, the whole thing? All right. Well, speaking of behaving badly with capital B, from Tiger blood to Tiger Woods.
Everybody is talking about Tiger`s incredible comeback. He won Sunday`s Memorial Tournament, thanks in part to one incredible shot. People are going to be talking about this for years.
Now, even if you don`t care a lick about golf, you cannot deny this is awesome. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Look at this. Look at this shot. It`s going to go in. It`s going to go in. It is in. Holy mackerel!
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. I don`t watch a lot of golf, but I could watch that over and over. With that win, by the way, Tiger ties legend Jack Nicklaus who hosted Sunday`s tournament for the title of the second winningest golfer ever.
This was Tiger`s second big win, his second since his 2009 cheating scandal caused a massive losing streak, of course, that had everybody asking if Tiger lost his mojo forever.
So now that Tiger is roaring again, I`ve got to ask this SHOWBIZ flashpoint - is it time to stop with all the "Tiger is done" stories? Michael?
BILLY: Absolutely. People deserve a second chance. This is a kid. This is a guy who, as a kid, the whole country was rooting for him. You know, people were gathering around him. Everybody wanted him to succeed from the time he was a kid until his adulthood.
When he lost that, of course, it rattled him as a sportsman. But I think now you are starting to see that mojo back again and the crowd rallying behind him.
HAMMER: Yes. Kita, I`ve got to ask you quickly. Do you think this puts a lid on all the stories that he`s done?
WILLIAMS: Absolutely. Tiger Woods got his golf swing back and his golf swag back. I mean, it`s been a hard thing for him over the past course in time with his personal business being so public.
But we all know that when you get in your head, a lot of times, it can help or hurt you. And right now, since his wife has that $150 million settlement, Tiger can make that back. He can make that back on the green, so watch him on the U.S. Open.
HAMMER: See if that happens, to the return of the mojo. Kita Williams, Michael Billy, I thank you both.
Well, from "Playboy" to reality superstardom. Kendra Wilkinson has done it all. Tonight, Kendra is right here with her NFL superstar husband, Hank, revealing her new life on a new reality show.

HAMMER: New documentary takes a fascinating look at the Grammys` behind the scenes just after show`s producers learned that Whitney Houston died.
Cameras rolled at the Grammys` rehearsal revealing a frantic hustle to plan a Whitney tribute just hours before the big show. The footage is now a short documentary. It`s called "A Death in the Family: The Show Must Go On."
And it premieres June 11th at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. And you can also find it over on Grammy.com.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KENDRA WILKINSON, REALITY TV STAR: Hey, it says positive. I went in my cabinet and found a pregnancy test. There`s two with lines. It`s positive. What am I supposed to do? This hasn`t can`t happen, Hank.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: So is there another baby on the way for former "Playboy" model, Kendra Wilkinson. I`m about to get to the bottom of it with Kendra and her husband Hank because they are here.
Tonight, Kendra on top from partying at the "Playboy" mansion with Hugh Hefner to potty training her 2-1/2-year-old, Kendra Wilkinson is back with her brand-new reality show on We alongside her husband, former NFL player, Hank Baskett.
He`s Hank Baskett III, and now they have their little baby, little Hank, on board as well. So the question is, is Kendra on top? Well, we`re about to find out. Kendra and Hank joining me now. It is great to see you both. How are you?
WILKINSON: Great to see you, too. Thanks for having us.
HAMMER: Excellent to have you here in the studio with us.
WILKINSON: Yes.
HAMMER: And you seem happy. I mean, you had a glow when you walked on set. Of course, you have your husband with you. I can`t help but think about what a 180 this was from what your life once was, partying in the Playboy Mansion.
WILKINSON: I know.
HAMMER: Living up there with Hugh Hefner, of all people. And now, here you are. You have your reality show. You are married and you have a 2 1/2-year-old son. Did you imagine that this is how life was going to turn out?
WILKINSON: I did, yes. And while I was that girl partying at the mansion, I still had that reality dream to be a mother and a wife. And I can officially say I`m living in my dream now. There, it was more of like a fantasy-type situation.
HAMMER: Yes.
WILKINSON: It was like candy land, you know, a different kind of candy land. But now, we are - you know, I have a family and that`s real life right there.
HAMMER: It`s a different kind of fantasy though, right? I mean, you know, Hank is sitting here, like, I thought, "This is pretty good. But it is and you guys seem super-happy.
WILKINSON: We are. And you know, not only - I came from, you know, the Playboy Mansion, the "Playboy" world, the party world.
And I went in to another spinoff called Kendra and that was kind of more about, you know, life after having a baby, getting married and being a victim of his career.
It was more like a gray cloud hovering around our heads a little bit. And now, we have a new reality show called "Kendra on Top" on We, which is a breath of fresh air. And it`s all about our happiness and our positive side of life and not -
HAMMER: Isn`t that nice? Isn`t that nice?
WILKINSON: Yes.
HAMMER: But here`s the question that everybody wants to know, especially after we just watched that clip. Everybody said, well, is she pregnant or isn`t she pregnant?
We saw you waving around the pregnancy test saying positive. Are you pregnant? Because I would think you would be showing something.
WILKINSON: Do I look it?
HAMMER: Well, no, you don`t. And that`s what -
WILKINSON: Well, no. I mean, I can say no. There was a little scare. There`s a catch to it. That scene basically sets up the whole season. And there`s a point to it. There`s a catch to that scene. You have to watch it to see it.
HAMMER: OK. Well, another superstar is finally showing off her baby to the world, Jessica Simpson, of course. We just saw -
WILKINSON: I just saw it.
HAMMER: We just saw the picture on the cover of "People" magazine. And she also just announced that she is losing the baby weight by getting involved with this diet.
First of all, for her husband, former NFL player, Eric Johnson. This guy, you know, maybe could use some advice from you as she struggles to, you know, lose the baby weight. I mean, there are certain things you don`t want to say, right?
HANK BASKETT, REALITY TV STAR: Oh, definitely not. Whenever she says she`s feeling a certain way, this or that, you`ve just got to be very careful because there`s still hormones and there`s still emotions still running through.
It is - just be supportive and just tell her whatever (UNINTELLIGIBLE) whatever they are comfortable with, be supportive of that. Everybody loses in their own way. So just let your wife find out what she wants to do and support that.
HAMMER: Keep a smile on her face.
BASKETT: Yes.
HAMMER: Kendra, I`ve got to ask you about your old buddy, Hugh Hefner, because now, he is getting back with his ex-fiancee, Crystal Harris.
Now, of course, you remember she dumped Hef just weeks before they were supposed to get married. And now, he is taking her back. The question everybody is wondering today is, "Why, Hef? Why?" Hold your answer. I`m going to get it from you in just a minute.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Between Smithy and Kim Kardashian, it seems pretty clear that reality shows have pushed beyond their absolute limits, the partying, the sex, the girls behaving badly, and the boys, too.
But tonight, there is a brand-new show that is throwing a wrench into routine reality. The brand-new show, "Push Girls," just debuted on the Sundance Channel tonight.
And it takes you inside the lives of four women who all happen to use wheelchairs. But as we`re about to show you, these women prove they are anything but disabled.
Here`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Kareen Wynter with a SHOWBIZ special report.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: Tone it down because I`m going to punch you in your face.
KAREEN WYNTER, CNN ENTERTAINMENT CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Whether it`s female brawlers on "Basketball Wives"
KIM KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV SHOW: See all those clothes and -
WYNTER: Or family feuds on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," more often than not the women of reality TV are portrayed as a bad girls club.
UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: Beyond limits.
UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: I push.
UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: Beyond what`s expected.
WYNTER: But now there`s some new ladies rolling onto the scene ready to take a stand with a different kind of reality.
(SINGING)
WYNTER: Meet Auti, Mia and Chelsie. They`re dynamic, talented, and paralyzed.
UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: One more time.
(SHOUTING)
WYNTER: They`re the "Push Girls."
(on camera): What is a push girl?
AUTI ANGEL, PUSH GIRL ACTRESS: Some people think it has to do with wheelchairs. It`s pushing through your adversity, through your situation, and that goes for everybody.
WYNTER: The situations are real.
UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: There`s a lot of bills flying my way.
WYNTER: From the economy and dating -
UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: He said he didn`t want a girlfriend.
WYNTER: To starting a family.
ANGEL: Most people don`t think I can have a baby.
WYNTER: With their lives under the microscope, we had to ask, was there anything the "Push Girls" pushed back on?
MIA SCHAIKEWITZ, PUSH GIRL ACTRESS: Yes, my husband and I are working on having a baby. But, yes, you guys get to stay outside and you don`t need to know how we`re about to make that happen.
WYNTER: The bedroom aside, the girls admitted almost nothing is off- limits, an honest approach they hope will help change misconceptions in part of a movement in which disabled becomes differently-abled.
SCHAIKEWITZ: People see us in wheelchairs and they think, wow, their biggest obstacle in life is their chair. And we don`t see it that way. Our biggest obstacle is conquering those misconceptions.
I love my freedom. That`s the way I have been my whole life. If I say I have to get in the shower and I can see it on their face, they`re like how does she shower? So just educating through doing.
WYNTER: A 2009 study conducted by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation estimates 5.6 million Americans are living with paralysis. The organization calls the show a milestone, telling CNN, "Pop culture rarely features members of the paralysis and disability community."
"It is so refreshing and inspiring to be represented on a network that will depict us accurately and with respect and optimism."
Meanwhile, The American Association of People with Disabilities hope the show starts a trend, "This should be a starting point and a challenge to more film and television producers to portray us."
The portrayals, while courageous, also reveal a vulnerable side.
CHELSIE HILL, REALITY TV STAR: I really hope that people will look at other people in wheelchairs differently now. Meeting the girls was kind of like meeting big sisters. It was kind of like, wow, you know, I can be myself again.
AUTI: She is our confirmation that we are doing the right thing.
WYNTER: From education to inspiration, the "Push Girls" agree -
HILL: When you can`t stand up, stand out.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: How refreshing is that? That`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter. Such an inspiring group of women to be sure. You can catch "Push Girls" Mondays on the Sundance Channel.
Time now for the SHOWBIZ lineup. Coming up on the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, octomom the stripper? Yes, it`s come to that for Nadya Suleman.
She signed on to be a stripper but is it the right move for the sake of her kids?
Big stars, bare faces. Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, even Lady Gaga, all tweeting photos with no makeup. But what`s the deal with this new trend? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT goes inside the business of baring it all. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.
HLN`s new "EVENING EXPRESS" is here. I`m so excited that the show debuted today. We are covering it all - health relationships, personal finance. Ryan Smith, Clark Howard and Isha Sesay together every night on "EVENING EXPRESS," 5:00 to 7:00 here on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Right now, on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Neil Patrick Harris`s startling baby confession.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS, ACTOR: Yes, I didn`t love the first six to nine months.
OPRAH WINFREY, HOST, "OPRAH`S NEXT CHAPTER": You didn`t?
HARRIS: And I struggled with it a lot. I was in therapy with my own therapist.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Why Neil had to go to therapy to bond with his twin babies. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reveals why the proud papa had such a hard time figuring out how to be a dad. Our SHOWBIZ flashpoint - could Neil`s struggles help other parents?
ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Tonight, change of heart. "Playboy" boss Hugh Hefner has revealed he has put aside his differences with his former fiancee, Crystal Harris, and they are back together again.
Now, you probably remember this. Crystal, the 25-year-old model turned runaway bride who dumped Hugh just days before their big day.
She sold off her engagement ring and then she spilled the beans on their sex life. Tonight, however, Hugh says all`s forgiven. She is once again his number one gal. Ah, love. But is the "Playboy" possibly getting played here?
I figure who better to ask than former Playboy Mansion insider and former "Playmate," Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett, who has an all-new reality series called "Kendra on Top." It`s set to premiere tomorrow on We TV.
So Kendra, look what`s happening here. Twitter-verse is going crazy about your ex, Hugh Hefner. Hef and his former fiancee, Crystal Harris, both revealing on Twitter that, yes, they are back together again.
Now, when they called off the big engagement and she was the runaway bride last summer, here`s what you said, quote, "He wouldn`t be Hugh Hefner if he got married to her. We have Hef back so I`m glad. I`m happy." So now that they have reunited, how do you feel?
WILKINSON: You know, I don`t know. I`m kind of ashamed. I`m like, "Hef, what are you doing? You have millions of girls that are around you." You know, I guess that`s my message. I want Hugh Hefner back, like I don`t want him to be caught up in this woman. I mean -
HAMMER: Particularly somebody who would leave him at the altar.
WILKINSON: Yes.
HAMMER: I mean, he genuinely seemed upset when that happened, right?
WILKINSON: This situation is totally changing. I feel like his image completely. I feel like Hef built this image throughout all of these years and, you know, being - like he has all of these women that love him. He loves women. But now, this one woman is coming in and just kind of like wrecking it a little bit.
HAMMER: She dismantled the whole operation.
WILKINSON: Yes.
HAMMER: We haven`t seen this. So then, the whole question is, why is this happening? What`s the motivation? You know, it wasn`t really a nice breakup. Howard Stern had Crystal Harris on his radio show.
And she said some pretty unflattering things about Hugh Hefner, some pretty nasty things at that time, really telling tales out of school which leads people to believe maybe this is all some kind of a publicity stunt.
WILKINSON: You know, I got caught up in the mix, too. Right after I left the mansion, you know, I was taken advantage of a little bit. And words were twisted up and everything.
People just wanted juice and wanted gossip over what happened right after I left. You know, it`s hard to like, you know, say the nice things after you leave the mansion.
HAMMER: Understandable.
WILKINSON: Yes.
HAMMER: But why then do you think he is taking her back and they are making a big deal of it. Is it for publicity, do you think? Is he that kind of a guy.
WILKINSON: It is definitely not for publicity. I mean, he is a very genuine person. He really loves, you know, these women. It`s true. I just - I can`t even begin to think like why would he take her back, you know. Why? How is she so special? And why, after all that she has done to him, I mean -
HAMMER: It doesn`t seem to me and you know him better than I will ever know him, but that Hef needs to draw attention to himself. It just kind of happens organically.
WILKINSON: No, I don`t think so. I don`t think it`s like that. That is not Hef at all. Like Hef - of course, he knows his image. He is very proud of his image.
HAMMER: Sure.
WILKINSON: But he also - that`s who he is. Truly, like, he really loves these women.
HAMMER: All right.
WILKINSON: He does. He genuinely loves them.
HAMMER: Maybe he loves her enough that he is willing to let it all go.
WILKINSON: He`s in a very bad situation.
HAMMER: Well, there`s another story turning tonight. I`ve got to talk about this - the octomom, Nadya Suleman making big headlines today after accepting a job as a stripper.
Now, it was just last month when she told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that she would do anything to take care of her kids. Let`s watch that moment together right here.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
NADYA SULEMAN, OCTOMOM: If it`s a job and a well-paying job and it`s going to allow us to get us out of here in a very safe, huge home that they deserve, I`m going to do it. I`ll do it.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. She says she`s going to do whatever she needs to do. And you can pretty much understand that but a lot of people are giving her a hard time for taking this particular job.
Let`s me bring in TV and radio host, Michael Billy. Do you think she is making the right move here, doing anything you can to make a buck?
BILLY: Anytime you`re going to protect your children, and with the amount of children that she has and the history that she has, it`s absolutely the right decision.
I have to defend her with this. You know what? Yes, she is stripping. Yes, she did porn. I look at it as she is doing what she can to make money to protect her kids. That`s what a mother should be doing.
This woman was criticized for not being a good mom and being irresponsible. But if she is going out there to do what she has to do, albeit embarrassing or however degrading, she is doing what she needs to do to make money and put food on the table. Good for her.
HAMMER: Yes, I agree with that. But here`s the thing and you know, you mentioned degrading or the types of jobs she`s doing. Every offer she`s had has basically been some kind of sexualized job, whether it is stripping or being in porn.
So Kendra, is octomom really a sex symbol or is she just kind of being taken advantage of and made in the to a freak show?
WILKINSON: No. I think she taking the easy way out. As much as I do believe you have to do what you can for your children and, you know, you have to provide for them, I feel like the time she spends thinking and going to do this, I feel like she needs to spend that time and figure out how to make a better living and set an example for the kids, you know. I just think it is like the lazier way out. I don`t know.
HAMMER: Yes. People have said that, as well. But also, a lot of people are saying she is not employable and she`s even said that to us before.
WILKINSON: Right. She needs to take the time and think about that and not just fall into that.
HAMMER: I agree. I think -
BILLY: What kind of options does she have with eight kids? She`s got to take care of them. She can`t be in a full-time job. I mean, she may need a short-term small gig that`s going to make a lot of money. Unfortunately, the two industries that she picked are perfect for that.
HAMMER: It is a desperate situation. I mean, it is really unfortunate.
WILKINSON: Yes, it is.
HAMMER: But let`s talk about Neil Patrick Harris who is in a more fortunate position and trending big after a new interview that just aired last on "Oprah`s Next Chapter." Neil admitting to Oprah that he has struggled to bond with his two-year-old twins.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HARRIS: Yes, I didn`t love the first six to nine months.
WINFREY: You didn`t?
HARRIS: And I struggled in therapy with my own therapist. I don`t know what`s wrong. And I try to soothe you and you are still crying and I know he is more maternal and is much more intuitive with that, and so I would pass off. I didn`t feel like I was bonding with them.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Can you imagine? I think it is safe to say that what Neil Patrick Harris went through is probably pretty common for a lot of first-time parents.
They just don`t know what they are supposed to do, how it is all supposed to work out. But now, they are getting into their terrible twos. So Kendra, you have a 2 1/2-year-old.
WILKINSON: Yes, we do.
HAMMER: What kind of advice would you have for Neil in dealing with it?
WILKINSON: It just takes time, really, and patience. When they go into their terrible twos, I think it is so terrible because of the parent, not because of the kid.
The parent needs to learn patience. He has to learn how to just take it and guide the child into a better, easier out, you know.
You know, you can fight with the child and be like, "No, don`t cry," but then they will cry even more. You`ve got to learn how to like take their mind off of it. You`ve got to learn patience. That`s what it really comes down to it.
HAMMER: I have to believe though that he`s speaking out - Neil Patrick Harris is speaking out about this is going to help other parents realize, "Hey, I`m not the only one having these bonding issues."

Well, next, Miss Ohio`s Q and A controversy. It has to do with the classic movie, "Pretty Woman." Can you believe that she said a movie about prostitution shows women in a positive light? Seriously?
Tonight, it`s the big Miss USA controversy right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT here on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Stars without makeup. It used to be unthinkable that a glamorous celebrity would actually go anywhere without a full face of makeup. Not true anymore.
Now, you have stars tweeting photos of themselves bare-faced and still fabulous. So is it just a gutsy move? Or could it really be big business?
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Tonight, stars bare it all. I`m talking about Rihanna, Snooki, Jennifer Love Hewitt, even Lady Gaga.
All of these stars have actually tweeted photos of themselves without any makeup on, revealing a side that they rarely show in public. But why in the world are they peeling off that layer for the world to see?
Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT blows the lid off the secrets behind those celebrity bare-faced tweets.
With me in New York, Nicole Lapin, who is the founder of Recessionista.com. It`s great to have you here.
NICOLE LAPIN, FOUNDER, RECESSIONISTA.COM: It`s great to see you, A.J.
HAMMER: So listen, these days, you have a quick fire formula for stars who want to get quickly noticed. They want to get some publicity.
It is this big trend where you tweet out a photo of yourself without makeup. And I have to say, we love looking at all these.
This is one of the most shocking. Charles, can we please put this up? Because it caught us all by surprise. You`ve got the Snooks - Snooki, no makeup.
LAPIN: She looks great.
HAMMER: She looks great in a different way. What is going on with the trend? Why are so many stars doing this?
LAPIN: I love that you come on this show and you say this is great for role modeling for young women. You can come out and you can say, "I am real and I am still fabulous."
But what a better way to also be a role model for young women to say, "Yes, I`m real and that`s cool, but I`m also making a lot of money."
And let`s be serious, A.J., don`t be like Polly Anna-ish about this. Stars are not tweeting for nothing.
HAMMER: Right.
LAPIN: It is like $500 to $15,000 a tweet. There`s a strategy.
HAMMER: Of course, that`s what I want to understand, because we saw Rihanna. If we can put this one up, Charles. Rihanna went on to Instagram in April and she put this photo of herself up there. And I was wondering how can she make money doing that?
LAPIN: it`s about controlling your image. It`s about regaining control from the paparazzi. It`s about laying the foundation for these big endorsement deals from the soap companies or from the makeup companies out there.
These are really competitive deals. So you also saw AnnaLynne McCord who also came out and tweeted a picture of herself without makeup.
So she had great blemishes and black heads like I do. I know you don`t, because you look perfect when you wake up in the morning.
But you know, when they have a campaign for Proactiv, Proactiv is looking and saying, well, who do they think of when I think of somebody to be great spokesperson?
She is top of mind and she`s really cut through some of the other competition out there for those big deals. It`s big money.
HAMMER: And that`s great for them, but I did think when they first started doing this that they were just showing, you know, stars. They are just like us. They wake up in the morning and they don`t have makeup on.
But then you see somebody like Bethenny Frankel, for example, who obviously is a very successful businesswoman tweeting a picture of herself without any makeup.
And then, I`m thinking, Bethenny is not doing that to show us that she is just like us. She is doing it because it has to be a strategic business move.
LAPIN: Absolutely. She is a very wise businesswoman. So even if not that directly following something deal-oriented, she is laying the foundation for more followers.
And guess what? More followers equal more money to tweet as well. I mean, those deals - $500,000 Kristen Bell got from Neutrogena or the big press like "People" magazine without makeup.
HAMMER: Well, here`s the question - will the stars continue to do this and stay with this trend if they are not getting a payday?
LAPIN: Oh, I hope so. One can only dream.
HAMMER: I think it would be great. Yes, I mean I think it does set a great example and it shows, look, it is possible. Be happy with who you are even if you don`t have a makeup artist who is following you around with an airbrush and make you glittery all the time.
LAPIN: You don`t have that? That`s right.
HAMMER: No, I have to deal without it. But thank you for being here. This is very insightful.
LAPIN: It`s authenticity.
HAMMER: There`s a lot of money being made is the bottom line. Nicole Lapin, great to see you. Thanks.
Moving on now to Miss USA madness. Miss Ohio thinks that a movie about prostitutes shows women in a positive light. And Donald Trump sings "Call Me Maybe" with Miss Ohio and the rest of the pageant contestants.
(MUSIC)
Yes. The Donald doing tween pop.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SARAH JESSICA PARKER, ACTRESS: OK. The guy who ended the war in Iraq, the guys who says you should be able to marry anyone you want and the guy who created four million new jobs - that guy, President Obama and Michelle are coming to my house for dinner on June 14th.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: That`s pretty cool. That`s a brand-new Obama add featuring superstar Sarah Jessica Parker, of course. That debuted last night during the MTV Movie Awards.
She is getting political. She`s holding a fundraiser for President Obama at her home in New York. And you could actually win a pair of tickets to the event. You get a little inside glimpse at her life there.
Well, we`re going to take you inside another superstar`s home. Right now, no tickets required. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on location inside of former NFL star, Michael Strahan`s super pad.
We have got exclusive access to his most private space and his incredible hangout suite. This guy has a dedicated karaoke room and a custom-made motorcycle right inside his house. Seriously, Michael`s crib is going to blow you away. He`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
NISCHELLE TURNER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT (on camera): Your favorite room in the house?
MICHAEL STRAHAN, FMR. NFL STAR: Never had a room like this.
TURNER: No?
STRAHAN: I never looked at anything that I`d ever done in the past.
TURNER: Wow, this is impressive.
STRAHAN: Now, I`m retired and it`s time to pull all these stuff out of storage. So this is one of my little trophy cases here.
TURNER: This is nice, Michael.
STRAHAN: So it`s got a little bit of everything.
TURNER: This picture is from right after you won the Super Bowl?
STRAHAN: This picture is from right after we won the Super Bowl and I`m thanking Eli Manning. Really, truly, I love Eli Manning.
TURNER: OK, here`s my favorite -the Strahan bobblehead.
STRAHAN: The Strahan bobblehead.
TURNER: I love that thing.
STRAHAN: There are a lot of different bobbleheads. The one thing that is consistent - they always put a gap. Most guys look at me and they close their mouth. Me, they always make me smile with a gap. That`s not too intimidating.
This is the Jersey from the Super Bowl. The dirt, Gatorade that was spilled on me I poured on myself during the game. That is straight off the field. No cleaning. No prep. If you busted the glass, it`s probably going to smell like you know what.
TURNER: Exactly. I love this. I mean, this is kind of like a Hall of Fame.
STRAHAN: Yes. I don`t ride motorcycles. I don`t ride bikes. They made this custom bike, one of a kind for me.
TURNER: Why is this your favorite room?
STRAHAN: This is my favorite room because this is where everybody ends up when we have people over. They end up down here. They end up at the bar.
You come down here for the reason. I consider in the part of the room - this is the theater. We are also in the - playing karaoke and everybody sits on the couch and we entertain.
TURNER: You know, I should make you entertain.
STRAHAN: No. I`m a mixologist, so you come down and get it popping at the bar.
TURNER: What is your best drink?
STRAHAN: A good Arnold Palmer but with the - you know, vodka-inspired.
TURNER: Nice.
STRAHAN: We keep it stocked.
TURNER: Thank you for having us today. You are the best.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: Very cool guy. That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner. Well, we move on now to Miss Ohio`s epic fail at the Miss USA pageant.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JULIA ROBERTS, ACTRESS: That is rent. You should go for him.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Why the pageant contestant says she thinks Julia Roberts` character in "Pretty Woman" is a good role model for girls.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: I`ve got to say that`s one thing I never expected to see in my lifetime - Donald Trump lip-synching Carly Rae Jepsen`s "Call Me Maybe." The video was from last night`s Miss USA contest. Trump decided to make that cameo with all of the beauties who competed in the pageant.
And the Miss USA 2012 is Miss Rhode Island, Olivia Culpo. There she is right now, getting her tiara. Olivia is a sophomore and a dean`s lister at Boston University.
She has brains and beauty, that`s for sure. But as excited as we are for Olivia, I`ve got to say my favorite moment of the night was little less majestic.
You know you love a beauty pageant gaffe and there was a classic foot-in- the-mouth moment last night during the question and answer round.
I want to bring in SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner from Hollywood. So Nischelle, please tell everybody what went down during that Q and A session.
TURNER: Oh, A.J., I`m still shaking my head, but you are right. We all love a beauty pageant blunder, don`t we? Listen to this. When Miss Ohio, Audrey Bolte, was asked to name a movie that showed women in a positive way, she picked, wait for it, "Pretty Woman."
Yes, A.J. Miss Ohio picked a movie about a call girl who finds a sugar daddy. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Judge number one, Mary Lou Henner, your question, please, Mary Lou.
MARY LOU HENNER, MISS USA JUDGE: Hey, do you think that women are depicted in movies and on television in an accurate and positive way, and please give us an example.
AUDREY BOLTE, MISS OHIO USA: I think it depends on the movie. I think there are some movies that depict women in a positive role and some movies that put them in a little bit more of a negative role.
But by the end of the movie, they show the woman-power that we all have, such as the movie, "Pretty Woman." We had a beautiful woman, Julia Roberts and she was having a rough time. But you know what? She came out on top and she didn`t let anybody stay in her path. Thank you.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I like it.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
TURNER: Now, A.J., you know I love Julia Roberts. But look, when it comes to picking a strong woman in a movie, if you wanted a Julia Roberts flick, maybe something like Erin Brockovich would have been a better choice than "Pretty Woman." I`m just saying. I`m just saying, A.J.
HAMMER: All right. A little bit of a feminism faux pas there. I`m thinking a lot of pressure to be on the stage. She made it to the top five, so congratulations to her. Nischelle Turner, thank you.
All right. Moving on, the startling new report on gay-bashing. It finds anti-gay bias led to a record number of murders in the gay community last year, an alarming 30 fatal hate crimes committed against members of LGBT community in 2011.
The big debate tonight, are religious leaders helping incite the violence with hate-spewed sermons? Dr. Drew takes that on right now.
