NISCHELLE TURNER, GUEST HOST: Tonight, happy birthday, Tom Cruise. A divorce, a custody battle, and now brand-new details of Katie Holmes` plot to leave him revealed just weeks after the two were photographed hand-in- hand. Was this Katie`s best performance ever?

(MUSIC)

Hello, everyone. I`m Nischelle Turner. Tonight, Bieber`s blow-up. Justin Bieber loses his cool during an interview, but was he justified?

But first, tonight, Tom Cruise turns 50 today. But I`m thinking it might not be much of a celebration because he`s smack in the middle of a divorce drama that, by all accounts, took him by surprise.

Cruise has reportedly headed back to his Los Angeles home from his latest movie set. Meantime, his soon-to-be-ex, Katie Holmes, has been spotted out and about without her wedding ring.

Now, we`re getting new insight into her plans to leave Cruise after 5 1/2 years of marriage. More details we learn, the more it appears as if Katie has been thinking about splitting some time.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

TOM CRUISE, ACTOR: Finished. I am (EXPLETIVE DELETED).

TURNER (voice-over): One could forgive Tom Cruise for indulging in some Jerry Maguire style self-pity right about now. The ever youthful mega star turns 50 today.

But his last movie, "Rock of Ages," just flopped, and most devastating of all, his wife of five years, Katie Holmes, just filed for divorce. Even poor Jerry Maguire would feel sorry for Tom right about now.

CRUISE: I`m cloaked in failure.

ALEXIS TERESZCUK, "RADAR ONLINE": Things are not going well for Tom on his birthday.

TURNER: "Radar Online`s" Alexis Tereszcuk tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Tom is taking a break from filming his next movie.

TERESZCUK: Tom has been in Iceland for the last few weeks filming his new movie, "Oblivious." Apparently, Tom has flown out of Iceland. He`s returning home to the U.S. to celebrate his birthday here and maybe to try to work things out with Katie.

TURNER: If Tom really is thinking about working things out with Katie, she might have other ideas. All signs indicate that Katie Holmes is serious about wanting out of their marriage.

TERESZCUK: Katie Holmes stepped out on Monday for the first time, and she was not wearing her wedding ring.

TURNER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT obtained these pictures of Katie Holmes out and about in New York City yesterday. In this photo, we see that, for the first time in five years, her ring finger is bare.

TERESZCUK: That`s a huge sign. That means it`s over.

TURNER: In fact, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you as new details emerge, it`s becoming crystal clear that Katie Holmes` decision to leave Tom Cruise was not spur-of-the-moment, but something she orchestrated as carefully as Ethan Hunt organizes his impossible mission.

CRUISE: We come back with our target, or we don`t come back.

TERESZCUK: Katie Holmes planned her escape from Tom Cruise with surgical precession. She`s had this plan in works for months.

TURNER: TMZ reports today in the secret divorce papers Katie Holmes filed in New York last week, she writes that she considered her marriage to Tom Cruise irretrievably broken at least six months ago.

That means during recent sightings of the smiling A-list couple like "Vanity Fair`s" Oscar party this past February, Katie may have already been contemplating divorce, and she apparently was keeping up appearances more recently than that.

TERESZCUK: She was photographed with Tom two weeks ago. They were smiling. They were holding hands. Wedding rings were on. But she knew what she was planning on doing.

TURNER: Plus, there are reports that the New York City apartment Katie fled to after she filed for divorce was in the works for a while, too.

TERESZCUK: Katie secretly rented an apartment in New York City just a few weeks ago. Tom had no idea.

TURNER: In its new issue, "People" magazine reports the final phase of Katie`s plan to separate from Tom, bringing in her attorney father, Robert Holmes, to join her in New York last week to help Katie clean house.

TERESZCUK: She recently fired everybody around her, everybody that Tom had put in place for her.

TURNER: The result, Tom had no idea the divorce was coming, which probably makes it all the more painful.

TERESZCUK: Everybody is saying he had no idea Katie was going to do this. Tom Cruise seems to be taking the news really hard. He apparently was blindsided.

TURNER: With Katie appearing determines to move on without him, Tom did get some good birthday news today. "Forbes" magazine named him the highest paid actor in Hollywood.

Cruise reportedly earned $75 million in the past year, more than twice as much as the guy who is second on the list - some kid named Leo.

TERESZCUK: At the end of the day, he`s still Tom Cruise and he`s really good looking. He`s really rich, and he`s an A-list Hollywood movie star.

TURNER: But he doesn`t have the glamorous Hollywood marriage anymore, making his 50th birthday a huge but bittersweet milestone.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

Yes, I would say this is definitely not a good way to celebrate his big birthday. So how long did Katie have her exit strategy planned?

Joining me now from New York, Atty. Midwin Charles and "Inside Edition" correspondent, Megan Alexander.

OK, ladies. So Katie obviously knew she was going to be photographed yesterday, especially since this was her first outing since filing for divorce.

So Megan, what do you think? You think Katie was sending a clear message to Mr. Tom Cruise by being photographed without the ring?

MEGAN ALEXANDER, CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": It certainly appears that way. Katie is very aware of the media, the paparazzi. They follow her everywhere, have done so for the past five years.

And she`s very aware of how important public image is to Tom Cruise. You know, the fact that she`s not wearing her ring - let`s think about it. Several celebrity couples have worn their rings all the way to the very end of their divorce trial.

Jessica Simpson famously wore hers around her neck when she was divorcing Nick Lachey, in some way to, shall we say, mourn the loss, if you will, of the marriage. Katie Holmes pulling off that ring just a few days later, she means business. She`s out.

TURNER: Yes, she does mean business. I agree with you there. And there`s been a lot of talk that Katie actually blindsided Tom, and that she was planning this divorce for a long time.

She got this apartment, reportedly, a month ago, and then she filed in New York for divorce. Midwin, as an attorney, how much planning do you think she`s been doing with her legal team to file for divorce from Tom, who by the way, has a lot more money and big legal guns that are backing him?

MIDWIN CHARLES, ATTORNEY: Well, I think she`s done a lot of planning. I mean, I think all of the things that she`s done and all of the steps she`s taken indicate that she wanted to file, first of all, in New York as opposed to California which is where they had a legal ceremony before getting married in a fabulous ceremony in Europe.

And that`s probably because she also wants to divorce herself from scientology. As you know, they have a huge presence in California, but not so much here in New York.

So just the notion that she would file in New York as opposed to California indicates that that took some planning in and of itself.

TURNER: You know what, Megan? Just two weeks ago, Katie and Suri visited Tom in Iceland where he is shooting a movie. And it appeared at that point that she was still playing the role of Tom`s wife.

Now, I`ve got to ask, is this an Oscar-worthy performance here? Is this her best performance ever? Because this sure seems like that to me.

ALEXANDER: It certainly seems that way, and this is what we know. This is why we all think that. She rented that apartment several weeks ago, maybe month ago. Then, she`s seen two weeks ago holding his hand.

Second, you know, she fired all the staff around her. We hear those reports that she brought in her father. He fired all the scientologists.

And third, so many folks in the media thought that these big buff guys outside her apartment a couple of days ago were scientologists. "Inside Edition" exclusively revealed that they are ex-NYPD hired by Katie and part of her security team.

Why does she need all that security? She planned in advance. She knew she would need it.

TURNER: Now, there are these reports that their divorce could get really nasty. And I want to say maybe Tom-Kat can learn from some big Hollywood couples that have actually done divorce right and are enjoying kind of post-divorce happiness.

There are three couples that have done this really well. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. They split last year, but they continue to raise their twins and they actually work together.

Courteney Cox and David Arquette. Courteney brought their daughter, Coco, to cheer David on during his "Dancing with the Stars" stint.

And then there`s Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. They got a divorce in 2000, but they stayed friends. They raised their three daughters.

Midwin, what do you think? Can these two learn from the divorced Hollywood couples that are doing it right?

CHARLES: Well, let`s certainly hope so. Remember, there`s a little child here that`s involved, Suri Cruise. And children often always are kind of collateral damage when parents can`t get it together, when they can`t divorce amicably.

So those couples that you mentioned are excellent examples of couples who have decided, "You know what? We`re going to put the well-being and emotional state of our children before our differences and try to do this in a way that is respectful and amicable."

Because unfortunately, when things are said in the media and on the Internet, the child will eventually grow up and read it.

And worst of all, judges hate it. I have to tell you that judges do not like when parents disparage one another during divorce cases.

TURNER: Yes. You know what? I would say that, and I think we have all been saying that. At the end of the day, think about Suri because there`s a little girl involved here. Midwin and Megan, thank you guys so much. We appreciate it.

And tonight, Justin Bieber`s blow-up after being compared to Justin Timberlake.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

JUSTIN BIEBER, POP STAR: I mean, I`m not trying to sound like anyone. I mean, saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

TURNER: Oh, come on. Is the Biebs really offended by being compared to the former `N Sync star? Seriously, I love Mr. J.T. I really do. So what got the Biebs so mad? And really, is it so bad to be compared to one of the biggest pop stars on the planet?

And the world lost one of the friendliest faces on TV today. Tonight, we remember Andy Griffith, who will always be remembered as Sheriff Andy Taylor on "The Andy Griffith Show."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Howdy boys?

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: You`ve got the left one short, (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: No, the left one`s all right, the right one`s too long.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Oh, you tell how do these sideburns look to you?

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: What sideburns?

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Oh, god. I knew it. You always do this. You`re clipper happy. My sideburns - where are they? Are they on the side or are they on the top?

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Name the place. They`re right there on the floor.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

TURNER: Some very sad news tonight. Andy Griffith, the celebrated star of "The Andy Griffith Show," died at the age of 86 today. Andy was a TV staple on "The Andy Griffith Show" and then again at Matlock. Larry king remembered the star on CNN today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LARRY KING, TV PERSONALITY (through telephone): He was a wonderful guest because he answered the question you asked and he responded in kind.

He also was, I think, an extraordinarily talented actor, way beyond just the roles he did on television. He had major movies. He had an Academy Award nomination. He was a very special guy, Andy Griffith, and I think deserves more due than he got.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TURNER: And he will surely be missed. And coming up next, John Travolta speaks out about returning to movies after his son`s death.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

TURNER: Tonight, John Travolta`s journey back to the big screen. It`s been about three years since John lost his 16-year-old son Jett.

And in a brand-new interview, he reveals what it took to bring him back to movies where. John played a DEA double agent in the brand-new Oliver Stone thriller, "The Savages."

And this morning on "Live with Kelly," Travolta revealed took Oliver Stone to bring him out of his family tragedy and back to the big screen.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHN TRAVOLTA, ACTOR: We wanted to work together for 30 years. And after my son passed, I wasn`t feeling like doing any work. So for three years, I took off just to recover to the best I could.

So the first job back was Oliver because I felt very fortunate that he beckoned me to go back into a high-quality picture. So I kind of didn`t miss a beat in regards to that.

KELLY RIPA, HOST, "LIVE WITH KELLY": And not only that, but I think that for Oliver, to have you sign on first sort of opens the doors for -

TRAVOLTA: Yes.

RIPA: You want John Travolta in your film. That attracts everybody else, don`t you agree?

TRAVOLTA: I hope so.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TURNER: I think that`s probably true. Now, "The Savages" with John Travolta opens this Friday.

So tonight, kissing Clint. Reality star, Dina Eastwood, has been married to Clint Eastwood for 16 years. When they met, Dina was a 27-year- old news reporter, Clint, a young 65-year-old star.

And up until now, they have lived a very private life. Well, Dina is now opening up their lives to the world of reality TV with her new show, "Mrs. Eastwood and Company."

And although Clint reluctantly appears on the show just a few times, we get a rare glimpse into his private life and their relationship.

When I sat down with Dina, she told me her life with Clint is a real love story, but she gets it when people wonder about their 35-year age difference.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(on camera) Do you ever think there`s like a 35 year age difference?

DINA EASTWOOD, REALITY TV STAR: It`s bizarre to say that. I mean, I probably have judgment on somebody who had a 35-year age difference.

TURNER: I had to look up the ages because I didn`t even realize it.

D. EASTWOOD: It`s nice of you.

TURNER: And then I said, "He`s 81. She`s 46."

D. EASTWOOD: He`s 82 next week.

TURNER: Really?

D. EASTWOOD: Yes.

TURNER: Does it ever - could you think about that or is it just -

D. EASTWOOD: This sounds rehearsed because I had to say it last week, but I think about it when we`re listening to music.

TURNER: Really?

D. EASTWOOD: When I want to crank prince and he`s like, "Ah!" then I think about it. But nothing else - nothing. And you know what? The cool part I think is that I was a grown woman when we started dating.

I was 30 years old. It wasn`t one of those deals where I was super impressionable, very young. I had a neat job. I traveled. And so I was an adult when I met him and he was so young for his age.

And when we got married, we put the ages together and split them in half and said, "OK, let`s call it 45 each. We`re good." And we never had a problem with it. If anything, I can`t keep up with him.

I don`t go on his press junkets anymore, seriously, because I can`t handle getting up first day in New York and going to the "Today" show like he does, you know. He just goes, goes, goes.

TURNER: Was it love at first sight? You`re gorgeous.

D. EASTWOOD: Oh, god.

TURNER: But seriously, was it love at first sight?

D. EASTWOOD: We were both with other people. And when I was finished with the interview with him, I remember telling all my friends, "God, I get how he`s so sexy." He was so - he`s so good looking. He`s big.

TURNER: He`s brooding -

D. EASTWOOD: He`s big. He`s tall. He`s broad-shouldered and he`s very, very handsome with the great hair. I thought he was a very attractive guy.

A year later, after we had seen each other a few times publicly, we got sat together at a function. That was kind of the love at second sight.

That was like a bond happened there and we never split since. We held hands under the table during this nonprofit dinner, and it was interesting. He got my number.

(CROSS TALK)

No, haven`t let the hand go.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TURNER: Aww. You know, talking to Dina, I got the impression that despite how big a star Clint really is, they`re a pretty normal couple.

Now, of course, being a new reality star, I had to ask Dina if she worries about the so-called reality TV curse that`s been blamed for wreaking havoc on a lot of famous families. Here`s what she told me about that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(on camera) Did you ever think, "This could affect my family"?

D. EASTWOOD: Many times. I thought it many times. Still freaks me out now, less now because I feel like I have been in labor for three years and that the baby is finally being born.

So I`m ready for the kid to be born and let`s move on and let`s see what happens with this child. But yes, I`ve had all of these fears. I still have those fears.

When we had the premiere the other night, I snuck in another room by myself to watch and did not - didn`t remind Clint it was on. And he`s like, "What are you doing? What are you doing in here? Why didn`t you tell me?"

It was very sweet, but I`m like - I`m still just kind of like, am I really doing this? Oh, my gosh. It`s very, very surprising for me. But I will tell you, I would never, ever, ever sacrifice a family for a TV show.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TURNER: That`s a great rule to live by when you`re working in reality TV. All right. Tonight, Bieber blow-up. Is Justin Bieber really furious over comparisons to Justin Timberlake?

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

BIEBER: I mean, I`m not trying to sound like anyone. I mean, saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TURNER: Isn`t that a compliment? Justin Timberlake is great. The great debate tonight. Is there anything wrong with the Biebs being compared to the former `N Sync star?

Also, tonight, where in the world is Casey Anthony? What is her life like now? And does she still keep in touch with her mom, Cindy?

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT gets a fascinating look inside Casey`s new life a year after being acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter.

Time now for the SHOWBIZ buzz list. Here`s what our staff is buzzing about this week.

We`re dancing to the Scissor Sisters` fourth album, "Magic Hour." It`s out right now.

Kyra Sedgwick`s "The Closer" closes with its six final episode starting July 9th.

And we - and when I say we, I mean, I am heading to New Orleans this weekend for the holiday for the three-day Essence Music Festival kicking off on Thursday.

And we`re getting into the hype about "Batman Earth One," A graphic novel with a fresh take on Bruce Wayne. It`s batman like you have never seen him before and it`s out July 10th.

And speaking of superheroes, "The Amazing Spiderman" is swinging into a theater near you today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Help, my kid is trapped!

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: This life is not an easy one.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TURNER: Tonight, a Rolling Stones exclusive. It`s hard to believe, but Mick Jagger and the gang will celebrate their 50th year together this year.

What better way to celebrate than with some never-before-seen photos of the rock gods before they were legends? So what would it be like hanging with the Stones in their heyday backstage, front row, studios, remixing would-be classics?

Well, one lucky man was right there with the Stones in 1972, the great music photographer Jim Marshall. Now, Marshall`s estate is releasing his never-before-seen pictures of the Stones in a brand-new book simply titled "The Rolling Stones 1972."

It`s out this August, but you can get an exclusive first look on CNN`s photo blog, CNN.com.

So joining me right now is the sole owner of Jim Marshall Photography, his former assistant, Amelia Davis.

Now, Amelia, you were with Jim. You helped him archive the photos. And I mean, come on. In 1972, the Rolling Stones - there wasn`t much hotter out there. We`re talking post-"Satisfaction" here. How did Jim manage to get this kind of access?

AMELIA DAVIS, SOLE OWNER, JIM MARSHALL PHOTOGRAPHY: Well, by the time - Jim was a very seasoned photographer by the time he photographed the stones in 1972.

So he had already photographed people like John Coltrane, Miles Davis. And everybody knew his photos and loved him. And so they knew that when Jim photographed them, it was all-access or nothing.

And one of the great things about Jim is he gained the trust of all of the musicians that he photographed. And he never betrayed that trust.

One of the things he said he was most proud about in his career was that none of the musicians or the managers or the record labels ever complained about what photo he took or showed.

TURNER: Yes. Yes. You know, I love the backstage kind of just hanging out photos. When you look at these images, what did Jim tell you about what a young Mick Jagger was like? Look at him there.

DAVIS: I know. Jim really connected with Mick - with Keith Richards rather than Mick Jagger, but that one great shot of him with the palace laundry shirt was a funny story.

You know, it was called the STP tour, the Stones Touring Party. And so they partied hard and right when Mick was going to sleep, you know, everybody was getting up and wanted to start the day.

So Jim banged on his door and said, "Get up, Mick. Get up, Mick. We have to take this photo." He said, "No, Jim." And Jim said, "Come on, man." He pulled him out and made him do the shot.

(CROSS TALK)

TURNER: I`m sure they did. Thank you so much, Amelia. Now, to see more exclusive images taken by Jim Marshall of the Rolling Stones back in the day, stop in at Steven Casher Gallery in New York City from July 5th to September 8th.

Or what you can do, just take home the book of images. It`s called "The Rolling Stones 1972," and that is out on August 15th.

And now, here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Katy Perry`s big screen gamble.

(MUSIC)

Katy Perry takes you backstage and behind the scenes of her personal life in a movie. So SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has to ask, will Katie`s big screen gamble pay off? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

"Magic Mike" stars Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey tell SHOWBIZ TONIGHT how they trained for their blockbuster stripper movie that`s taken America by storm.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHANNING TATUM, ACTOR: I did cross fit. I mean, that was sort of my - I did a mix, like I did sort of like a body part in the morning. And then I did cross-training in the evening.

MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY: And he`s always afraid to sweat. I walked outside and started sweating. I was like, "No, you`ve got to generate one from the inside out." That could be from working out. That can be from a great night out dancing with your gal.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

TURNER: Right now, on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Bieber`s blow-up. Tonight, Justin Bieber doesn`t want to be compared to that other famous Justin, J.T., and he is saying it out loud.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

BIEBER: I mean, I`m not trying to sound like anyone. I mean, saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

TURNER: All right. We get it, Bieber. You`re your own man. We have to ask, is it really so bad being compared to one of the biggest pop stars on the planet?

Plus, Katy the movie star. Katy Perry`s big screen movie is showing the pop star`s vulnerable side like never before. But does it reveal a little too much? SHOWBIZ dares to ask, will Katy`s big screen gamble pay off?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

TURNER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Tonight, Bieber`s blow-up. Justin Bieber`s making headlines tonight after hanging up during a radio interview.

Bieber called in to chat with the team on Mojo in the morning, and in the awkward interview went downhill fast when a D.J. likened Bieber to Justin Timberlake. Let`s say it didn`t sit well with him.

Now, the D.J. went on to ask about Bieber`s mom. And at that point, he had enough and, well, Bieber hung up. If you didn`t know it before, D.J., you know now. Don`t mess with the Biebs.

But tonight, we`ve got to ask, what the Bieber blow up justified or Justin- fied?

Let me bring in "Inside Edition" correspondent, Megan Alexander, who is in New York. And from Hollywood, Paul DerGarabedian, who is president of the "Hollywood.com" box office division.

OK, in that interview, guys, the radio D.J. told Bieber that he sounds like Justin Timberlake on Bieber`s new single "Boyfriend." He told Bieber that he meant it as a compliment, but let`s watch Bieber`s response together. Look at this.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

BIEBER: I mean, I`m not trying to sound like anyone. I mean, saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment, but saying - I think that if you were to say, like, you know, I definitely heard some Justin Timberlake-esque things in your sound, I would take that as a compliment, but saying you thought it was Justin Timberlake, I don`t -

(END AUDIO CLIP)

TURNER: OK. So clearly, the D.J. offended Justine Bieber. Now Pauly D., I mean, come on, is it really so bad for him to be compared to Justin Timberlake?

PAUL DERGARABEDIAN, PRESIDENT, "HOLLYWOOD.COM" BOX OFFICE DIVISION: Well, not really. I don`t think so at all. The thing is, Bieber sounded tired. It sounded like he has just woken up.

He sounded a little cranky and he even said it would have been OK if he was called Timberlake-esque but not just like Timberlake, which is kind of an interesting distinction.

I think, obviously, Bieber has a lot of respect for Justin Timberlake. It just seems like Bieber got up on the wrong side of the bed and had a Bieber-itude going. I don`t know. It just didn`t work out very well. Like you said, it kind of went downhill from there.

TURNER: Yes, I like the Biebertude. So the Bieber says he and Timberlake sound nothing alike. But some SHOWBIZ Facebook fans are saying, hold on, Biebs. Not so fast.

Sharon P. says, "The first time I heard that song, I thought it sounded a lot like Justin Timberlake." So I want to play a little bit of Bieber and a little bit of Timberlake for you guys. Watch this with me.

(MUSIC)

All right. Megan, quickly. What do you think, fair comparison or not?

ALEXANDER: I do. I think it`s a true compliment. Both got their start as teenyboppers. They want to progress into the older, more mature audience. Justin Bieber, take it and run with it. There could be way worse comparisons.

TURNER: Absolutely. I agree with you wholeheartedly. OK. You know, guys, there is one man who might have been able to help Bieber sidestep this big beef that we`re talking about.

And I`m talking about his supermanager Scooter Braun. Now, Scooter is the man who helped Bieber get to the top and he`s a real power house.

He`s got three other huge acts in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 Single Charts. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter went on location with Scooter and Bieber at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: Tell me what is going on behind the scenes here?

SCOOTER BRAUN, JUSTIN BIEBER`S MANAGER: We are doing a shoot for one of the artists I work with, the one that everyone knows the most.

WYNTER: Would that be Justin Bieber?

BRAUN: It would be. It would be the Biebs.

WYNTER: How important is this guy to you? He is more than a manager, right? He is your mentor and friend?

JUSTIN BIEBER, POP STAR: Yes. Yes. I mean -

WYNTER: Call him up at the 3:00 in the morning?

BIEBER: No, I mean he`s always - not only is he worried about, you know, my career and that, he is worried about me just being a good person. And you know, at times, he can be annoying. But I know he is only trying to, you know, have me have the best character.

WYNTER: All right. So who has the last word, Justin?

BIEBER: Always.

WYNTER: What do you guys butt heads on though?

BRAUN: That he is too much like me.

WYNTER: That is a good thing. You are successful and Justin is successful.

BRAUN: I`m looking at publicists back there who are - my parents call Justin their revenge.

WYNTER: His parents say I`m like their revenge basically because I`m always like - I`m always - I have a lot of energy and I`m always giving him a hard time.

It`s fun. He is a really great guy. And at the end of the day, he has taught me a lot and not only about business, but you know, just being a good person.

(SINGING)

WYNTER: There`s so many artists out there who want to be associated with you, because you spell success.

BRAUN: My dad said to me when I was growing up, "I hold you to extraordinary standards because I want you to be extraordinary." So you know, if you want to be normal and be the status quo, you`ll end up being that.

If you want to be extraordinary - and I`ll quote one other person that I respect, which is Will Smith. And he said, "Don`t ever be realistic." He said, "Never be realistic, because no one who is ever realistic in this world ever achieved anything great. Be unrealistic."

WYNTER: Did you see a little bit of that in Justin when you met him several years ago, that he dreamed big?

BRAUN: You know, what is funny? When I met Justin, he did not even know it was possible. He never wanted to be famous. He never wanted to be a star. I guess the idea of Bieber from Stratford - you know, in his family, no one had ever left. So the idea of making it was so foreign to him it did not even seem possible.

WYNTER: You guys are pretty close. I also read one of your tweets where he called you up at 3:00 in the morning. It doesn`t get closer than that, right?

BRAUN: Yes. We have a very relationship that is very - it`s not a normal manager-client relationship. We`re his family.

(MUSIC)

WYNTER: Justin, being the megastar, you still keep it real with him, though.

BRAUN: Beyond real to the point where I think it pisses him off.

WYNTER: That`s why he loves you.

BRAUN: That`s why I like pissing him off.

BIEBER: Love you.

WYNTER: Oh, that`s so cute.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

TURNER: That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter. Now, from one global pop superstar to another. Tonight, a look at Katy Perry the movie star. Now, this could be a big week for the pop princess set to release an all new documentary in theaters on Wednesday about her big rise to fame. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KATY PERRY, POP STAR: I did a gospel record when I was 15.

(MUSIC)

To me, that was becoming successful. But it was really tough because the only kind of music I was allowed to listen to was Christian music.

TURNER: You know, she has captivated her fans, selling out music performances around the world. But are those Katy cats ready to support her on the big screen?

Let me bring back Megan Alexander and Paul DerGarabedian. Katie really opened up her life to the cameras for the film, guys. And they started taping long before she called it quits with Russell Brand. Now, Megan, do you think it`s any sort of gamble for Katy to put herself out there like this?

ALEXANDER: You know, I don`t. I actually think it`s a really smart move and it will be interesting to see how it settles with fans, I guess.

You know, Justin Bieber did try this and his movie, his documentary, was a smashing success, and capitalizing on reality television and the popularity of it, I think this could be a hit for her.

I think anytime you put yourself out there, your fans appreciate it. They want to know what`s going on. She`s sharing her heart. She made the decision to do it.

TURNER: Yes, you know, everybody loves to see that kind of behind-the- scenes stuff, too. Katy`s fans know quite a bit about her life. It doesn`t seem like there`s a lot of surprises here. Knowing that, Pauly D., what do you think? People still fill the seats in the theater?

DERGARABEDIAN: I think they will. And in fact, you know, the Justin Bieber movie, "Never Say Never" in 3-D earlier this year opened with about $29 million, went on to earn about $73 million. Of course, the "Hannah Montana" Miley Cyrus "Best of Both Worlds" opened with about $30 million.

Now, the Jonas Brothers movie did about $12 million in its opening weekend. But I think this will be in that higher range.

TURNER: OK.

DERGARABEDIAN: You only need to look back like Madonna`s "Truth or Dare" to see that sometimes it`s cool to mix the concert footage with behind-the- scenes -

TURNER: Yes.

DERGARABEDIAN: With a documentary feel. And if you get a little controversy out of it like Madonna did at the time with the Kevin Costner - she was kind of snippy to Kevin Costner with that comment, it gets people talking. It creates a conversation.

And I think the movies do really well. The fans love them. And it`s a great hybrid of documentary and concert footage.

TURNER: Absolutely. Megan Alexander, Pauly D., thank you for the conversation tonight.

Lisa Marie is all too familiar with critics who slammed her for gaining weight while she was pregnant. And now, she`s taking a stand. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT went on location with Lisa Marie at the magnificent Grammy museum where she opened up about everything from her famous dad to "American Idol" and her first album in seven years, "Storm and Grace."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC)

KAREEN WYNTER, "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" CORRESPONDENT (on camera): "Storm and Grace," that is a fully loaded title. What was the inspiration behind this, your first album in seven years?

LISA MARIE PRESLEY, ELVIS PRESLEY`S DAUGHTER: My life just took so many different turns. I left the country, I had babies, I had things to work out, and I wanted to do it far away.

And thank god I had the, you know, accessibility to be - to use that creative outlet while doing that and processing it all.

(MUSIC)

WYNTER: Let`s talk about famed T. Bone Burnett. Gosh, teaming up with him on this album. He produced it. What was that like?

PRESLEY: You know, he really just kind of came as a godsend. And I was kind of not - didn`t have a lot of confidence anymore. I was a little bit tapped out.

And when he came in and took it on and believed in it and about, I say, three or four days in, I just kind of pulled him aside and just thanked him. He was breathing life back into me. I didn`t really have it.

WYNTER: Correct me if I`m not quoting this correctly, but he said, "I want to create something that Elvis would dig." What do you think your dad would say if he had a chance to listen to this phenomenal CD today?

PRESLEY: I could only hope that he would be proud. I also think that he would understand a little bit what I was dealing with before and sort of the process to get here. I can only hope that he`d be proud, though. I mean this seems a little bit more up his alley.

(MUSIC)

WYNTER: How did it feel being on that huge, intimidating "Idol" stage?

PRESLEY: I mean I was really trying not to think about it.

WYNTER: Is it as overwhelming as it appears watching it from home?

PRESLEY: It is. But I have to say, I was thrilled with the stage, the setup on the stage, and I think I had somebody say to me - I asked how many viewers and then, no, no, no, don`t tell me until after I get off.

WYNTER: Simon Fuller is the king of reality TV, so tell me, any aspirations in the future to judge a singing competition reality show?

PRESLEY: Gosh, I wouldn`t say never, ever to anything.

WYNTER: If Simon asked you tomorrow?

PRESLEY: I would - well, I don`t know. He never has. It`s never come up. But just saying I wouldn`t say never, but I wouldn`t find it easy to be someone that would tear an artist apart. If I did and if it ever happened, I would be the encouraging one.

(MUSIC)

WYNTER: Tell me about your trip to Graceland. You shot a little bit of the video there, but also spent Mother`s Day there with the family.

PRESLEY: I did. I was - we had dinner and then everyone got in the golf carts and ran around and tore up the lawn after dinner.

WYNTER: Takes you back to your childhood?

PRESLEY: It does. The babies were in the golf cart, squealing, giggling. That was fun.

WYNTER: What do you tell them about dad, their grandfather?

PRESLEY: They? You know, Finley is, you know, "That`s my grandfather who sings." She wants to hear it, so I`m whizzing by satellite radio and all of a sudden (UNINTELLIGIBLE). She has an ear, she`ll go back. And Reilly is just, is just taking on an amazing career.

WYNTER: Acting now.

PRESLEY: She is.

WYNTER: No longer modeling, diving into acting.

PRESLEY: Yes.

WYNTER: What kind of advice do you give her as a famous child?

PRESLEY: I just, I want her to follow her heart and what she wants to do, but it can tend to be a little bit hard on people, the business, and entertainment.

So sometimes it can get a little superficial, she`ll get disheartened, and that is very much like me and her father, to be honest. And I can see her start to deflate if things get a little bit superficial or not important.

She can just kind of, and it`s not about the art anymore. I can see her doing that. That concerns me, but she`s going to have to - she`ll get through it.

WYNTER: The issue of body image, it`s always been in the news, but it`s been at the forefront. Anna Wintour, the ban on skinny models. You`ve dealt with it yourself, you know, the paparazzi targeting you because of your weight, at one point when you were expecting.

PRESLEY: Yes, you know, I think that anyone criticizing any woman for gaining weight during pregnancy, ever, not just me, but any woman, you know, that should be off-limits.

You know, the woman is contributing to the human race, you know, and when that became OK to go after people for gaining weight, for being pregnant, I don`t know. I might have been one of the first few, but -

(MUSIC)

WYNTER: You`ve been on that quest for normalcy. Why is that so important and have you found it?

PRESLEY: Yes, I have. And it is important just to keep grounded, because I don`t want everyone to be insulated, where I don`t have my gauge on the temperature out there, or on me or what`s going on.

And you can sort of get insulated and surrounded when you`re high profile or there`s power or there`s money. All these things can attract the wrong elements. And it`s important to keep a good perspective of life so that that doesn`t happen.

Thank you so much.

We are moving on now to Casey`s strange and lonely life. It`s been nearly a year since Casey Anthony beat the charges alleging she murdered her two-year-old daughter. Well, tonight, SHOWBIZ reveal what her bizarre life of isolation is really like.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

TURNER: Tonight, Casey revealed. Nearly a year after her acquittal, we`re getting a new glimpse into Casey Anthony`s strange and lonely life in isolation.

The former party girl still lives completely in the shadow of her past after being cleared of killing her two-year-old daughter. So what is life like inside that small life of hers?

"People" magazine just issued a remarkable story on the bizarre life Casey is now living. And "People" writer and reporter, Kristen Mascia, is here with us now.

Kristen, to me, the strangest thing about Casey`s life now is that she wears this necklace containing her daughter Caylee`s ashes.

Now, I understand that her mother, Cindy, also wears the same type of necklace. So what can you tell us about this? Because it seems like a really dark memento.

KRISTEN MASCIA, WRITER AND REPORTER, "PEOPLE" MAGAZINE: That`s right. They both wear the same pendant holding Caylee`s ashes.

After her acquittal, Casey really damaged relationships with the rest of her family. But she secretly reconciled with her mother, Cindy, after her acquittal.

And they both decided that this was something that they were going to wear. And she told a friend this is their way of the Anthony women staying together forever.

TURNER: So you know, Casey is apparently living in this apartment in West Palm Beach, Florida, with a friend right now. I have to wonder, who is paying the bills? And if she is pretty much like kind of she was saying, a prisoner in the apartment?

MASCIA: That`s right. I mean, Casey has received hundreds and hundreds of letters and E-mails with death threats. I mean, she really has secluded herself.

She is unemployed. She lives off donations from strangers, money from her legal team and her parents. It has to be a lonely life.

It`s certainly a life filled with a lot of Internet searching of her own name. She compulsively searches Twitter for evidence of her name.

TURNER: Wow.

MASCIA: Which is very strange.

TURNER: No, I was just saying - I was just remarking to that. I mean, that really very interesting that she does seem like she`s in this little prison of her own inside her apartment. Kristen Mascia, I appreciate it. Thank you so much.

And you can read all about Casey`s life in isolation in the current issue of "People" magazine. It`s out on newsstands right now.

Now, right now, the secrets on gastric bypass surgery. Is it really that effective? And what about the shocking new studies that find the surgery could fuel alcoholism.

Dr. Drew takes that on right now.
