A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Well, I`m A.J. Hammer, here with Nicole Polizzi, who you know as Snooki. What`s up, Snooki?

NICOLE "SNOOKI" POLIZZI, REALITY TV STAR: I`m good, how are you?

HAMMER: I`m great. You know, tonight in the SHOWBIZ Countdown, you as a new mom, are going to help us count down the big baby news that is breaking today, including the global outrage over these just-revealed pictures of a very pregnant Duchess Kate in a bikini.

POLIZZI: I feel so bad for her.

HAMMER: Well, it`s the SHOWBIZ Countdown you won`t want to miss, the "SHOWBIZ Baby Countdown," and it starts right now.

Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer. Thank you for watching.

Tonight in the SHOWBIZ Countdown, we are counting down five big stories that are breaking today about "Star Baby Buzz Makers" with new mom herself Nicole Polizzi, aka Snooki.

Of course, Snooki just gave birth to beautiful Lorenzo Lavalle. That was back in August. I appreciate you being here. It`s always great to see you. I appreciate you being here. It`s always great to see you.

POLIZZI: Yes. Thanks for having me.

HAMMER: So we can`t wait to hear exactly how Snooki and Lorenzo are making out. We want to kick off our SHOWBIZ Countdown right now with No. 5.

It is Kate`s baby bikini bump. There is royal outrage today over pictures printed by an Italian tabloid showing a pregnant Duchess Catherine in a bikini while on a private vacation with Price William in the Caribbean.

Now, the same tabloid that published those photos of Kate nude sunbathing that were taken by a paparazzo published these photos.

Here`s what a royal spokesman is telling "People" magazine about this: "The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to the duke and Duchess for being so."

So the tabloid claims that Kate and Wills were on a public beach, and the pictures were taken by a vacationer there. Nicole, you of all people, know what it is to have your picture taken everywhere while you`re out in public.

POLIZZI: Not like her.

HAMMER: Not exactly.

POLIZZI: She is in another realm. But...

HAMMER: But if they are out there in public, despite who they are, do you think it`s fair game, or should it be hands-off?

POLIZZI: I just feel like people should give a little privacy. And obviously she`s part of the royal family, so she`s going to get, like, all those people wanting the pictures and always, like, on her.

But you know what? Just leave her alone for a second. She`s allowed to go on vacation, allowed to be in a bikini. I mean, she`s human. I get it.

HAMMER: But it is crossing the line, I think, if they`re in a private place.

POLIZZI: I`d agree.

HAMMER: If they`re out in public, I agree with you. People should leave them alone.

POLIZZI: I agree.

HAMMER: Do you think -- and some celebrities have done this in the past. So you think that maybe they should release a couple of pictures so maybe it will calm the obsession or at least calm the desire to get those shots?

POLIZZI: I mean maybe. I never really had that problem. I mean, one time in Hawaii I did. I was scuba diving and someone actually was swimming off of the beach and came over to us like in the middle of the ocean to take pictures. So that was a little weird.

HAMMER: How scary is that?

It`s weird. It`s like you`re a stalker, dude. Like, you know, get a job.

So I don`t know. I think it crosses the line. And I just feel like she should have her privacy sometimes. I feel bad for her.

HAMMER: Stressful enough being pregnant, isn`t it?

POLIZZI: Exactly, poor girl.

HAMMER: All right. Let`s move on to our No. 4 on our SHOWBIZ Countdown of "Star Baby Buzz Makers" tonight. Beyonce is delivering secrets. Beyonce now opening up for the very first time about her baby`s birth.

She gave a brand-new interview that was real today with "Vogue" magazine, and she says she communicated with her baby while she was giving birth. Here`s what she says they were talking about. "I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work. So I couldn`t think about my own pain. We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication."

Is it really so crazy to think that maybe they did have this special bond going on?

POLIZZI: No. Because me and Lorenzo, we would telepathically talk. And he would say, "You`re awesome, Mom."

I said, "You`re amazing in there. Thank you for not making me throw all up the time." So honestly, you do have a connection. I mean, you`re connected to each other. So Beyonce, she`s awesome. To each your own and, you know, that`s just what motherhood is about.

HAMMER: OK. But you weren`t doing it out loud. Or you probably did talk.

POLIZZI: I was all the time. And it`s not crazy.

HAMMER: But he didn`t talk to you out loud to be clear?

POLIZZI: In my head.

HAMMER: He was sending you signals.

POLIZZI: Yes.

HAMMER: OK. Well, Beyonce has always been very private.

POLIZZI: Oh, yes.

HAMMER: About, No. 1, her life, but also keeping the details about her baby under wraps. Obviously, a personal decision. But do you think she should keep it that way? Do you think she should give the public a little more?

POLIZZI: I think she should give the public a little more. Because when she does, we just love her even more. And Beyonce is, like, a blessed lady. I look up to her in so many ways. And I think she should share, you know, a little bit more with her life.

HAMMER: OK. Something you know about and you found the balance with.

POLIZZI: I share everything, please. I don`t hide anything.

HAMMER: It`s all out there.

POLIZZI: Yes.

HAMMER: All right. Well, next in our SHOWBIZ Countdown of "Star Baby Buzz Makers," at No. 3, a big payday for Angelina Jolie`s daughter. Listen to this.

We just learned about 4-year-old Vivienne Jolie Pitt`s huge payday. Vivienne is going to be starring in her first movie, alongside her mom Angelina. This is in the new Disney flick, "Maleficent."

She is reportedly getting paid 3,000 bucks a week, and she will get a $60 daily allowance for expenses, which I think is reasonable. So Vivienne following in her famous parents` footsteps.

I`m actually curious to know if you have plans for baby Lorenzo to perhaps follow in your footsteps and be a public figure someday.

POLIZZI: I would like Lorenzo to do whatever he wants to do. If he wants to be in sports, you know, be a weirdo like mom. I mean, whatever he wants to do, I`m going to support him.

HAMMER: Dye his hair red.

POLIZZI: Exactly. But guaranteed, that baby is like the coolest kid in school.

HAMMER: You think?

POLIZZI: If she goes to school. Does she go to school?

HAMMER: Four years old. You know.

POLIZZI: Public? Preschool?

HAMMER: I`m sure there`s some private schooling going on.

POLIZZI: Well, you know what? She is freakin` cool being in a movie with her mother, who is Angelina Jolie.

HAMMER: Yes, and you know, making 6 grand a week at 4 years old.

POLIZZI: Seriously.

HAMMER: Not bad. But about baby Lorenzo now? Have you ever experienced anything, particularly since "Jersey Shore" started and you shot to superstardom, paying attention to your every move. Have you experienced anything that you hope that he doesn`t necessarily get involved with, even if it`s something, he comes to you and says, "Mommy, I`m interested in this" but you were so turned off by?

POLIZZI: I mean, I just want him to always be careful and I want to make sure that I always protect him, no one takes advantage of him or, you know, hurts his feelings. I mean, right away I`m Mama Bear. I make sure everybody washes their hands before you touch him. If you`re sick, don`t even come into the house. I mean, I just want to make sure he`s always OK.

HAMMER: You are loving motherhood, aren`t you?

POLIZZI: Oh my God, I love it.

HAMMER: It`s funny, you know, we`ve been talking about it for some time, and sitting here, it radiates from you which is really nice.

POLIZZI: I love being mom.

HAMMER: All right. You read for No. 2?

POLIZZI: Yes.

HAMMER: Let`s get right to it. No. 2 on our SHOWBIZ Countdown of "Baby Buzz Makers" today, it`s a Kardashian baby bombshell. Kim K. has just revealed that her baby won`t be a part of her reality TV show. So there`s not going to be any Kimye baby on TV.

But we just saw baby Lorenzo rolling into the world in your reality show.

POLIZZI: Yes.

HAMMER: "Snooki and Jwoww." Would you like to revisit that moment right now?

POLIZZI: Sure.

HAMMER: I didn`t mean really, but on video.

POLIZZI: Yes.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: A little more, a little more. Here we go: one more, one more. Yay!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: What a moment. First of all, I have to ask, are you still glad you did it on television?

POLIZZI: I mean, me and Jionni actually gave our own footage. That`s our own footage. We gave to it the producers, because I mean, I`ve shown so much of my life, that why not show the birth of my beautiful baby? And I just love showing my fans everything. So I think that`s why we decided to do it.

HAMMER: OK. Now I don`t think your microphone was open while we were watching the clip of you giving birth. But you said out loud, audibly, you said, "Uh." Now what was going through your mind as you were watching it?

POLIZZI: It hurt. Oh, my God. It hurt so bad. It looks so beautiful and, oh, it`s such a beautiful moment, but it freaking hurt.

HAMMER: Did they dope you up?

POLIZZI: Of course.

HAMMER: Yes.

POLIZZI: Yes. But I still felt it. Yes.

HAMMER: But that`s important, right? You`re happy you felt it?

POLIZZI: Yes.

HAMMER: Next time will they dope you up even more?

POLIZZI: Yes, I`m hoping so. So I`m going to be in control.

HAMMER: You`ll have the button.

POLIZZI: Yes, even more.

HAMMER: Will there be a next time?

POLIZZI: Yes, I want to have a baby already.

HAMMER: How many?

POLIZZI: Three more.

HAMMER: Three more. OK.

POLIZZI: Four total.

HAMMER: That will be a nice little team you`ll have there.

All right. Ready for No. 1?

POLIZZI: Yes.

HAMMER: Here we go. Let`s roll it out on our "Baby Buzz Makers" countdown. Snooki, it`s you. You`re No. 1.

POLIZZI: Why?

HAMMER: Life has changed so much since your wild party days.

POLIZZI: Aww.

HAMMER: So now that Lorenzo is here, do you ever see yourself going back to party central?

POLIZZI: No. I mean, honestly, I`ve been partying since I was, like, in eighth grade. I mean, you know, I was upstate. There`s nothing to do but party.

So I got all my partiers out, and I`ve always wanted to have kids at a young age. I was thinking maybe 26. But I had them at 25. So you know, just a year younger -- a year earlier. And he`s just amazing to me. And I don`t even have the urge to go out and drink anymore.

HAMMER: Really?

POLIZZI: Sometimes I do need a glass of wine to calm myself down. But I mean, it`s all about Lorenzo. It changes your life.

HAMMER: Well, you said as we were talking just before we got started here that what people don`t realize, everybody has been complimenting you on how motherhood has really changed the way you are.

POLIZZI: Uh-huh.

HAMMER: But you said to me it really is how you always have been.

POLIZZI: Yes.

HAMMER: So much of it. We`re just used to seeing you, quite frankly, drunk and on your ass on television.

POLIZZI: Exactly. Everyone is used to me partying on "Jersey Shore." That`s why I love "Snooki and Jwoww." Because everyone gets to see me day to day and not just going out to the club.

HAMMER: Yes.

POLIZZI: So that`s what I love. The fans get to actually see the real me.

HAMMER: Well, part of what we got to see, as you came up with "Jersey Shore," was you guys and the mantra of "gym, tan, laundry." And now you`re a spokesperson for a tanning product.

POLIZZI: Yes.

HAMMER: Which one? What`s this about?

POLIZZI: Well, my tanning is called, you know, Snooki Tanning, obviously. And I have a million lotions out. And I`m actually -- I have two appearances, February 23 in Jersey and New York. So I`m excited to meet all my fans. I hope you guys come out. And half of the proceeds are going to go to the Sandy relief, because seaside is my home.

HAMMER: I`m so happy to hear you say that. Yes, yes.

POLIZZI: We got to get it back.

HAMMER: That`s really important. Great to have you here...

POLIZZI: Thank you.

HAMMER: ... Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi.

POLIZZI: Yes.

HAMMER: And pronouncing your name correctly...

POLIZZI: Yes.

HAMMER: ... for probably the first time in my life.

POLIZZI: Have me back again. This is fun.

HAMMER: All right. Thank you, Nicole.

POLIZZI: Thanks.

HAMMER: And again, you can meet Nicole and find out more about Supre at Beach Bum Tanning, Saturday, February 23 in Saddle Brook, New Jersey and in Oceanside, New York.

All right. We have another terrific "SHOWBIZ News Maker" interview for you with the man known as the human Ken doll. Now, it turns out he`s not a fan of real-life Barbie.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It was just really difficult when you`re working with someone who is strictly portraying an illusion and honestly has no personality.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The human Ken telling you the story behind this bizarre Barbie battle.

Also, I can`t wait for this. I`m one-on-one with brand-new "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit model, Miss Alabama Katherine Webb. Did she really dis Kim Kardashian?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KATHERINE WEBB, MISS ALABAMA: I was saying that I didn`t want to put my personal life out in the public.

HAMMER: Right.

WEBB: Kind of like how she -- she kind of does with -- with her family.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: So great to have Katherine Webb here setting the record straight and telling me just what her instant fame has been like.

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Now on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "Geico`s 15 Minutes of Fame." And wow, the human Ken doll is really enjoying his 15 minutes of fame.

Justin Jedlica has had 90 procedures, all to make himself into what he considers a perfect human specimen who looks like Ken. But one thing is different about this Ken doll. He doesn`t get along with Barbie.

"Inside Edition" spruced him to the woman known as the human Barbie. And soon after that, both were basking in their 15 minutes of fame after reports came out that they didn`t get along. Barbie and Ken not getting along? What is happening with the world? Is love truly dead?

Well, to set the record straight, I had to speak with the human Ken doll himself.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Every Ken needs his Barbie, right? And we understand when you met Barbie, it didn`t good so well. Here`s what happened.

"Inside Edition" introduced you to this woman who dubs herself the human Barbie. Valeria Lukyanova is her name. And immediately after the meeting there were all these international headlines that you two didn`t get along, Justin.

So as the human Ken, please set the record straight. How did you get along with Barbie?

JUSTIN JEDLICA, HUMAN KEN: You know, I think a lot of the -- the animosity I get that people viewed us as not getting along happened because of the media. And for me, a lot of people, I guess my story came around after hers.

And so what ended up was that I was sort of being pigeonholed as sort of trying to do what she was doing. And I started Googling her and looking her up. And she`s kind of flown on the coattails of this story, that`s a plastic surgery inspired story.

And so I had a resentment, I guess, towards that fact, because she`s not someone who`s had a lot of plastic surgery. I mean, she`s finally admitted a year and a half later after her story has come out that she`s had only a breast augmentation.

HAMMER: right.

JEDLICA: So why do we have this, you know, 20-something-year-old girl that everybody is so intrigued by? She`s putting on the illusion of being a Barbie, but she`s not necessarily waking up every day looking like that.

HAMMER: This -- let me get to something that actually came out in the press, what you guys said back and forth. You were quoted as saying, "Much of her look is added makeup, fake hair, and slimming corsets. Drag queens have put on the same illusions for years."

JEDLICA: Right.

HAMMER: And she responded to that, "He had more than 90 operations while I had only one. He would do better not to comment on who is plastic and who is not."

So what is your response to what she said?

JEDLICA: I mean, I think that her whole sale is supposed to be the fact that she`s plastic, that she is the equivalent to what Barbie is and that is the epitome of this ideal of what a female is supposed to look like. And this whole story came to fruition because of plastic surgery. So in that sense, I found her false, I guess.

And the fact that she in person was acting like a mannequin. She never broke character. She wouldn`t smile. She wouldn`t laugh. I mean, this was a very strange mix of the two of us. Because I`m a very outgoing person. And, you know, trying to work with someone on video is very different than a photo shoot. And I couldn`t even get her to do as much as, you know, cut a smile without them saying, "You can`t use this footage. You can`t use this footage."

So it was just really difficult when you`re working with someone who is strictly portraying an illusion and honestly has no personality. I mean, that was difficult.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: So -- OK. So it looks like he`s not going to be buying that dream house with Barbie any time soon. Anyway, I had plenty more to ask Justin, the human Ken doll.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The number that I have seen reported is that you spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $100,000. Where is that money coming from?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, how in the world can he afford the 90 procedures he`s had to make himself look the way he does? I still can`t believe he did that to himself. And will have even more done. Does he have some kind of self- image problem? Well, I`m going to ask him that, too. We`ll have that and his surprising answers tomorrow, right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

And here is something perhaps even more shocking than the man known as the human Ken doll. I`m talking about the secretly-snapped bikini pictures of Kate Middleton`s baby bump. They are igniting global outrage and brand-new calls for the duchess`s privacy tonight. Royal watcher James Desra (ph) is right here tonight with the inside story on the pictures behind the firestorm.

And what about this American royalty?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

OPRAH WINFREY, MEDIA MOGUL: Oh, this is what you`re going to learn? Oh, exactly. You want to tell?

BEYONCE, SINGER: No, you.

WINFREY: What you`re going to learn is...

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oprah and Beyonce joining forces on the red carpet for Bey`s candid new documentary. And Oprah revealing to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT the big secret behind Beyonce`s amazing success. It is the SHOWBIZ Countdown of tonight`s biggest news makers. Only one can top the list. Who will it be?

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Right now "SHOWBIZ Truth Squad." And Adele is setting the record straight about this buzz-making picture.

Now everyone was guessing that Adele was getting into it here, kind of a showdown at the Grammys with Chris Brown. And you can see why, right? I mean, look at that. It does kind of seem like she is giving him the business, telling Chris to get his act together.

The story was Adele had some harsh words for Chris because he didn`t stand up to salute his rival, Frank Ocean`s Grammy win. Everybody was giving him a standing ovation.

But today Adela is setting the record straight and tweeting that there was never any beef. She claims they were actually really happy to see each other.

Entertainment correspondent and B-103 Atlanta radio personality Kendra G. is with us tonight.

So Kendra, listen to what Adele tweeted about this headline-making photo of her so-called run-in with Chris Brown at the Grammys. Here`s what Adele wrote. She said, "Chris Brown and I were complimenting each other in that photo, actually."

Complimenting each other? I mean, it sure doesn`t look like it. Photos don`t always tell the truth. Are you buying that, Kendra?

KENDRA G., RADIO PERSONALITY: I actually am buying this. I`m so mad at the world for being so hard on Chris Brown. I mean, they`re both great performers. And the compliments had to be on each other`s music. Because, although I love Adele, I hated her Grammy outfit so badly.

I think the comment just had to be, "You know what? You sing well." "You sing well, too."

But let`s give Chris Brown a break, please, people. He`s doing his best. He`s super-duper talented. I mean, really, just give it a break.

HAMMER: All right. Well, there`s a lot of differing opinion on that, Kendra, as you well know. Some people didn`t like the fact that he was wearing a white suit after Labor Day, if you know what I`m saying.

HAMMER: There is another shocker tonight that is trending. We`ve got to talk about this.

KENDRA G.: OK.

HAMMER: It`s Lady Gaga`s health shocker. So Mama Monster has just announced that she`s cancelling several upcoming shows because she can`t walk. That is pretty shocking.

I want to read what she tweeted out to her fans. She wrote, "I`ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for some time now. Over the past month, it has worsened. I`ve been praying it would heal."

Now Kendra, you know this is pretty serious stuff. Her knees are apparently so inflamed she can`t even walk around. It really is a big deal for Gaga of all people to cancel concerts.

KENDRA G.: No, I totally agree. You know what? I`m not happy that she`s in pain, but this moment makes her human, because they`re on stage. They go on tour. Sometimes we figure that Lady Gaga, even Beyonce, are human beings, and they actually can get hurt.

So I think as a Lady Gaga fan, I`m totally understanding. I want her to get well, and I want her to definitely just understand that it`s OK. It happens. She`s a human being.

HAMMER: Yes, she tries so hard to please her fans all the time. So in a way...

KENDRA G.: Yes.

HAMMER: ... it doesn`t really surprise me that she kept it secret for so long. What about you?

KENDRA G.: Well, no, because she wants to be on that stage. I mean, obviously, Lady Gaga cannot, by doctor`s orders, be on that stage. if she had it her way, she would be performing. She would have never canceled. That`s how much she loves her fans.

But I totally understand this, and I want her to rest her body and to get well. And like I said in the beginning, it actually makes her for a second human.

I wonder how anyone dances in those heels. I`m sitting down in my heels, and my feet hurt, A.J. I don`t know how they do it.

HAMMER: I`ll tell you what, Kendra, you have my permission to kick your heels off right now.

KENDRA G.: OK.

HAMMER: I won`t say anything. My only hope is that Gaga takes this as a big wake-up call. You know, she has been touring nonstop pretty much since last April. And the last thing we want to see is have Gaga, one of our favorite stars, burn out. So hopefully she`ll get the rest she needs.

Kendra, thank you so much. And relax the feet.

KENDRA G.: You too.

HAMMER: All right. If you think Lady Gaga`s life on the road is crazy, wait until you see what a single day is like in the lightning-fast world of high fashion.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`re up to 70 appointments this week.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Sometime you know you`re real tired. Just eat a little bit chocolate. It makes you happy.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are you coming to the party tonight?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think so. Theoretically.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It is Fashion Week in New York. Everything is all about the glitz and the glamour, and even stress. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT giving you an incredibly rare look inside the high-pressure world of high fashion.

Plus, I can`t wait to fire up another SHOWBIZ Countdown tonight, "SHOWBIZ News Makers," including Beyonce and Oprah. The titans of entertainment joining forces on the red carpet for the premier of Beyonce`s revealing new HBO documentary, and of course, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is right there. You will not believe what Oprah is telling us about Beyonce.

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN. The boys used double miles from their capital one venture card to fly home for the big family reunion.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Right now the SHOWBIZ Countdown, "SHOWBIZ News Makers." The snapshots seen around the world. Kate Middleton`s baby bump is revealed after a tourist captures bikini shots of her on vacation in the Caribbean. And tonight the world is outraged at the invasion of the duchess`s privacy.

I`m one-on-one with the royal watcher who`s got the inside scoop on the royal watchers. But are they outrageous enough to beat out a reported feud between Miss Alabama and Kim Kardashian?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WEBB: I was saying that I didn`t want to put my personal life out in the public. Kind of like how she...

HAMMER: Right.

WEBB: She kind of does with her family.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Miss Alabama Katherine Webb setting the record straight to me about the Kardashian craziness. Plus, the real story behind her rise to fame after sportscaster Brent Musburger put the spotlight on her at the BCS title game. I`m one-on-one with Katherine Webb.

So will her amazing new stardom top our "SHOWBIZ Newsmakers Countdown?"

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. And right now on the SHOWBIZ Countdown, we are counting down the three big newsmakers today.

And kicking things off at number three, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is bringing you the inside story behind the Duchess Catherine baby bump photo flap with someone who has all the details about how these new photos got out.

British entertainment journalist and Royals watcher James Desborough is with us tonight from Hollywood. So, James, here is what we know so far about the story. The Duchess and Prince William were on a public beach in the Caribbean when Catherine was snapped in a bikini with a visible baby bump.

Well, despite earlier reports it was not the paparazzi who snapped the picture, but a fellow vacationer who sold them to a photo agency. A tabloid magazine in Italy then published the picture, the same tabloid, by the way, that ticked off the Royals last year by publishing a 26-page special of the duchess sunbathing topless.

James, the royal palace is calling this a breach of privacy, but the tabloid is saying, hey, you know what -- these pictures were fair game because they were taken on a public beach. So, I`ve got to know what you`ve learned about just how they really got these pictures.

JAMES DESBOROUGH, ROYALS WATCHER: So the pictures were taken by a holiday- maker who was there on vacation. They were not shot from a boat. They were shot on the sand. Now, the interesting aspect to that is that around the royal family, they were on holiday, and they were expecting privacy. They consider Mustique, where they were holidaying, a bolt hole, a place of safety where they can relax with family and friends.

And when news broke the royals were livid. William, especially after the last six months of scandals involving the royal family and especially with Kate in pre-published pictures, is livid about this.

HAMMER: And it seems like it`s just bound to happen again if they continue to go out in public places. I almost think that the duchess and Prince William should release some photos of her growing baby bump themselves. I don`t know, maybe take the heat off this obsession with working so hard to get a photo of Duchess Catherine. What can you reveal to us from what you know? Would they ever do such a thing, James?

DESBOROUGH: That is highly unlikely. The relationship that the royals have with the press, especially around the world, is fractious. We`ve seen the English newspapers not publish these pictures. They`re not planning to publish these pictures and respecting their privacy. But for countries who are not within their realm, they see it as a free-for-all. They see that these pictures are a normal couple enjoying themselves.

Now, the reality of the situation is that Kate and Wills will not release baby bump pictures. It won`t happen. They`re very, very measured about what pictures they do release, and the image that comes across. And the pregnancy especially to William is a very, very delicate matter, and a matter that he wants to keep private.

HAMMER: Are the English, are the folks over in England outside of the Royals outraged about this supposed invasion of privacy as well, or is it not a big deal?

DESBOROUGH: I think there is a 50/50 reaction. A number of people feel that this is a step too far. They`re on a private holiday, although it`s not a private beach, it`s a public beach. But they feel they should be left alone. But a number of other people just think well, it`s a family looking very happy, a couple very much in love. And these pictures should be shown around the world.

HAMMER: Well, it will be interesting to see if the hunt will continue. Hopefully they will get the privacy that they want. Thank you for that royal update, James Desborough. I appreciate it.

So while the British royals were making news today, so were Hollywood royalty. They`re our next big newsmakers. They`re number two on the SHOWBIZ Countdown. We`re talking about Beyonce and Oprah. What a sight to see both of them last night reuniting at the premier of Beyonce`s documentary. It debuts this weekend on HBO. The premiere happened last night.

Of course, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there capturing it on the red carpet. SHOWBIZ TONIGHTs Nischelle Turner joining me now from Hollywood. She`s got the inside scoop on Queen B meeting, once again, with Queen O. How did that go?

NISCHELLE TURNER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: Oh gosh, it doesn`t get much better than that, does it, A.J.? Oprah and Beyonce together on the red carpet. That`s a good picture. Now, Beyonce was in New York last night for the big debut of her documentary "Life is But a Dream" that she co-directed and executive produced. And when she and Oprah joined forces on the red carpet, this was magic. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: I`ve only did this - when I haven`t been on a red carpet since God knows when, but for you, yes. For you. For you. Just so I can tell everybody. This "Life is But a Dream" is so fiercely empowering. It is entertaining. It is everybody would have wanted to have her on their network. But the fact that HBO, which isn`t really TV, is doing it is so amazing. But she has had access to herself that nobody else would have had. So she is one of the greatest executive producers too, I must say. She opened herself up. She let us see her vulnerable side. She became for us not just this mythical goddess Beyonce.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Right, right.

WINFREY: She became - you know, I said to her, you know, she became a real woman to me.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Beyonce surprised Oprah?

BEYONCE: Oh, no.

WINFREY: She shocked me. I was in tears.

BEYONCE: I`m shocked that I`m standing - standing next to her.

WINFREY: She did an amazing job. People are going to be amazed. I`m telling you. People are going to be amazed. We all love her. We think oh my God, in her Beyonceness, what is going to happen now is people are going to feel a connection to her that they didn`t feel before. Because she shows us how real she is.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No, I saw it. No, I saw it.

WINFREY: You saw it. Isn`t it true? Let`s talk about it.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I was shocked.

WINFREY: I know. I know.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I couldn`t believe it. But why is she telling people?

WINFREY: Because - because she understands that all pain is the same. And the way she hurts is the same way other people have hurt. So when people see that, wow.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yeah, it is pretty neat to see. And I have to say, Nischelle, separate from that dress, Beyonce, of course, is known for being ultra private. And I know you just interviewed so many people that have been so intimately involved in Beyonce`s early years, including her dad. Now, are they still on good terms, even though he is no longer her manager?

TURNER: You know, that`s a good question, A.J. And here is what he would say, because Matthew Knowles is a very savvy guy, as you can expect. He would say Beyonce is a great person. He says he is so proud of her in whatever she does. And he also says that he is the one who taught her how to be so private. So, he really wasn`t giving up anything. So, what I would say if they are fractured, he didn`t want to fracture anything further.

HAMMER: Yes.

TURNER: So he really kept everything close to the vest.

HAMMER: Smart man both as a father and as somebody who wants to see his daughter or Beyonce continue to succeed so much. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner, thanks for that. I appreciate it.

Well, that takes us to our number one newsmaker on the SHOWBIZ Countdown It is someone who went from being a virtual unknown to being in the most coveted magazine photo spread out there.

Katherine Webb, of course, became an overnight celebrity last month at the BCS championship football game when sportscaster Brent Musburger said some, well, very flattering words about her on the air and then got accused of leering and being out of line.

Well, now the 2012 Miss Alabama USA is making the most of her newfound fame. And this week it was her big unveiling in the new annual "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit issue. I just spent some time with her for a fascinating "SHOWBIZ Newsmaker" interview.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It`s been an amazing ride. I mean first you get super famous for going to a football game, essentially, just for showing up in the stands. Then you have all these opportunities and offers that start flooding your way. And you`re getting all this attention. And then "Sports Illustrated" calls you for the swimsuit issue. I have to imagine, even though you`ve gotten to do some pretty cool things in your life, this has been the wildest few months you have ever been through.

WEBB: Oh, without a doubt. Probably a whirlwind would be the perfect word to describe it. And sometimes that`s even an understatement. But my life completely changed - completely around. And I`m living this new life, and I`m having to get used to it. And it`s been difficult, though, because it`s been so quick. But, you know, thankfully I have a great family and great friends to keep me grounded.

HAMMER: Yeah. There is nothing more important than that. So tell me about getting the phone call from "Sports Illustrated." This is one of the most iconic issues of any magazine that has ever existed. And now you`re a part of it.

WEBB: It`s -- like I said before, it is kind of like everything happened so quickly that it was almost like I was seeing it happen to someone else. If that makes any sense at all.

HAMMER: Sure.

WEBB: But - but when I got the call that "Sports Illustrated" wanted to do a shoot with me, I was just completely amazed, because every model dreams of being in "Sports Illustrated." And I was already in Los Angeles modeling. And so just to have the opportunity to do that so suddenly, it was such a complete shock and surprise.

HAMMER: Take me back to the BCS game where your boyfriend, A.J., good name, he was playing, of course ...

WEBB: Good name, right?

HAMMER: ... for Alabama. And sportscaster Brent Musburger said some awfully nice things about you. Let`s watch that moment again, because I`m sure you haven`t seen it before.

WEBB: OK. All right.

BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BRENT MUSBURGER, ESPN SPORTSCASTER: Well, I tell you, you quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women. What a beautiful woman.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, the reports were flying around after that that your boyfriend A.J. was jealous of all the attention that you were getting. And I`m sure it must be difficult to deal with suddenly now being in the spotlight, and there are false rumors flying around about you.

WEBB: Right, right. And you don`t really grasp the fact that not everything in the media is true until it happens to you.

HAMMER: Right.

WEBB: And A.J. was never upset. He was never -- he was never jealous or anything like that. And so for reports to come out that he was, I think it kind of ...

HAMMER: That must have (inaudible). Yes.

WEBB: Yeah, it bothered me a little bit.

HAMMER: ... bothered both of you I`m sure.

WEBB: Yes. It bothered me a little bit, because he is the most supportive boyfriend and, you know, person in my life besides my family. So, yeah. Not all of it was true.

HAMMER: It`s amazing from where you were a few months before this happened to where you are now. You now kind of have a sense of what somebody like Kim Kardashian has to deal with being in the spotlight all the time. She puts herself there, but also being the attention of tabloid rumors and things like that. And in the "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit article about you, you are even referred to as the anti-Kardashian. And in fact, there was a headline that said Katherine Webb disses Kim Kardashian.

WEBB: Which is not true.

HAMMER: What did they mean? What do they mean?

WEBB: No, no.

HAMMER: Just set the record straight for us, please.

WEBB: Oh, please, no - I think Kim Kardashian is fabulous. I love her style. I think outside of the cameras she is a sweet person. I can tell. I mean I don`t know her personally, but I can tell that she is. And she has a good heart too. And so that`s just what people was telling me, because I was saying that I didn`t want to put my personal life out in the public, kind of like how she ...

HAMMER: Right.

WEBB: She kind of does with her family and all that kind of stuff. I did not mean that in any rude or disrespectful way.

HAMMER: You were saying what works for her just doesn`t necessarily work for you.

WEBB: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. No - Like I said before, I think she is fabulous. You know, I don`t have anything against her at all.

HAMMER: I got to wish you the best of luck. Obviously you were watching SHOWBIZ TONIGHT because we literally assembled panels of people to talk about the fact that you should seize this moment, whatever that means, and you`re doing it. So ...

WEBB: Yeah. Well, thank you.

HAMMER: And I`m glad we could help.

WEBB: Thank you.

HAMMER: And you can see Katherine and, of course, cover girl Kate Upton in the new "Sports Illustrated" swim suit edition, which is on newsstands right now.

All right, you remember the Mohawk Guy, right? He helped the rover land on Mars and became a huge sex symbol.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`d let that mohawk dude land his rover on my red planet any time.

(LAUGHTER)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, the Mohawk Guy just got name checked by President Obama in the State of the Union address, and now the NASA hunk sex appeal seems to be shooting into the stratosphere.

Your Mohawk Guy update is next. This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BOBAK FERDOWSI, NASA ENGINEER: Of course, "Curiosity" was a really big success. In that time, in the six months since we`ve landed on Mars, you know, I`ve been fortunate enough to see a lot of the public outreach, and a lot of the excitement about this mission.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Who can forget the Mohawk Guy? He is the Mars Rover flight director who set off a fan frenzy when Curiosity landed on Mars. Well, now thanks in part to his hair, he is a bona fide star. And his rise to fame all started with a little mention from President Obama.

Here is CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: His mohawk blasts her bangs right out of this world. Remember Mohawk Guy? The Mars Rover flight director who cried when Curiosity landed on Mars.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Touchdown confirmed. We`re safe on Mars!

(APPLAUSE)

MOOS: Bobak Ferdowsi gave a high-five. And ever since at least his hair has been high.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Leaning forward so we can see the top?

FERDOWSI: Sure.

MOOS: He is definitely no showoff, though he will show all sides. This is his State of the Union look. Since the Rover landing he has changed his mohawk to note accomplishments on Mars. The dots symbolize chlormethane, which an instrument found on Mars. And this symbols more scope at the (INAUDIBLE) laboratory.

When President Obama`s science adviser called to tell Bobak the First Lady was inviting him to the State of the Union.

FERDOWSI: I told him I needed a minute to breathe.

MOOS: It`s been a whirlwind from being mentioned by the President in phone conversation with the Mars rover team ...

BARACK OBAMA, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: I understand that there is a special mohawk guy who is working on the mission.

MOOS: Fans have painted him, turned him into a yarn doll, and used a look- alike to create a parody music video to the tune of "Sexy and I Know It".

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yeah, I got stars on my hawk and I ain`t afraid to show it, show it, show it, show it. We`re NASA and we know it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

MOOS: Bobak thinks it`s all great, though he gets shy about the marriage proposals and fan love.

One tweet: "I`d let that mohawk dude land his rover on my red planet any time."

His hairstyle, by the way, is not some do it yourself mohawk. It`s done by a salon. Don`t worry. I`m not going to ask how much it costs.

FERDOWSI: No, that`s all right.

MOOS: But how much does it cost?

(LAUGHTER)

MOOS: Of all the tributes floating around the Internet, this is one of Bobak`s favorites. "You`ll never get a good job with a haircut like that, but you might get to the State of the Union."

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We`re NASA and we know it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I want to see Jeanne get a haircut like that. That was CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
