Hello. Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer.
And now that "HLN AFTER DARK`s" verdict is in on tonight`s "Bold Accusation" about the Jodi Arias murder case, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT brings you a nail-biting "SHOWBIZ Countdown" tonight.
The case is expected to go to the jury as early as this week. And tonight, we are here to count down what could very well be the top three "Homestretch Game Changers." We`re doing it with "HLN AFTER DARK" co-host Vinnie Politan, who is staying up with us after dark in Atlanta, and Sunny Hostin, up with us after dark here in New York City. Sunny is a CNN legal analyst. Great having you both here.
Let us kick off our countdown with the potential No. 3 homestretch game changer. The medical expert whose graphic testimony could decide whether Jodi gets the death penalty, if she`s convicted of murdering her boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

JUAN MARTINEZ, PROSECUTOR: Was this inflicted while he was still alive?
DR. KEVIN HORN, MEDICAL EXAMINER: Yes, I believe so.
HAMMER (voice-over): Dr. Kevin Horn, medical examiner, who did the autopsy on Travis Alexander`s body, testified about Travis`s final moments.
HORN: Neurologic shock, incapacitation, unconsciousness.
HAMMER: And he tore apart Arias`s claim that she shot Travis first before stabbing him 29 times.
JODI ARIAS, MURDER DEFENDANT: I didn`t know that I shot him. It just went off.
HAMMER: Dr. Horn says that`s impossible. He says a man with a bullet in his head could not have fought back as desperately as Travis did, judging from his defensive wounds.
HORN: Because of the injury to the brain, the information processing part of the brain would have rendered him unable to raise his hands, to offer any sort of purposeful action, or to verbalize anything.
HAMMER: That could be a huge game changer. If jurors believe Travis suffered a brutal agonizing knife attack before that final bullet wound, a conviction could send Jodi Arias to the lethal injection table.

HAMMER: So Vinnie, in the end, is it the medical examiner`s testimony that really could be the ultimate game changer as to whether Jodi could get sentenced to death if she`s convicted of murder?
VINNIE POLITAN, CO-HOST, "HLN AFTER DARK": Yes. It`s all about cruelty. They`ve got to prove cruelty. And the way he describes this death, certainly, there`s a very strong argument that it was done in a cruel manner. And it`s the exact opposite of what Jodi Arias is claiming.
HAMMER: Sunny, is that how you see it?
SUNNY HOSTIN, CNN LEGAL ANALYST: Yes, I do see it that way. But I`ve got to tell you: juries oftentimes surprise me. You`ve got this "CSI" effect on the one hand, and they want to believe these expert witnesses, but then you go back to a case like Casey Anthony, where you had the medical examiner testify, I thought, pretty convincingly, and it seems as if they sort of threw that out and went instead with what they were deliberating about and sort of their common sense. So I`m just -- I`m not -- or lack thereof.
So I`m just not sure that the medical examiner`s testimony will be the end all, be all for this jury.
HAMMER: Yes. As we`ve been saying all along, nothing really is all that sure, as much as it may seem it is. But there are, of course, other big "Homestretch Game Changers" lurking as the case heads to the jury. And again, that`s possibly as early as this Friday. So we`re getting close everybody.
But that takes us to No. 2 on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown." The battle of the psychologists.

JUDGE SHERRY STEPHENS, PRESIDING OVER TRIAL: We are going to stay here until we finish.
HAMMER (voice-over): With the judge looking to wrap up the Jodi Arias trial, this could be the trial`s final game changer. Jodi`s attorneys are calling a witness to counter this prosecution witness, Janeen DeMarte, who claims Jodi Arias has borderline personality disorder.
JANEEN DEMARTE, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST: There`s a lot of manipulation involved with people who have borderline personality disorder. And a large sense of immaturity.
HAMMER: That`s a potential game changer, because Jodi`s defense psychologist testified that Jodi`s a battered woman suffering from post- traumatic stress, which is the main reason Jodi`s memory about killing Travis is so spotty.
ARIAS: I blacked out or have memory gaps that -- much of that day.
HAMMER: So the jury`s decision may come down to a battle of the psychologists.

HAMMER: Just a reminder there, that there`s been a great deal of drama in the courtroom over whether or not Jodi suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.
Sunny, back to you on this. How big a game changer could this be in the jury room?
HOSTIN: You know, I`ve been thinking about this one, A.J., and I think oftentimes in these kinds of cases, yes, it comes down to this battle the experts.
But I just find the claim that she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and the claim that she`s -- she has such a terrific memory about everything, what she orders at Starbucks, but she can`t remember anything when it comes to this death, it just doesn`t make a lot of sense to me. And I do think the jurors take their common sense with them into the jury room, and I think they`re going to say, "Come on, really? Really?"
HAMMER: Yes.
HOSTIN: So I think they may throw out both of those experts` testimonies.
HAMMER: Well, Vinnie, we`ve been watching on "HLN AFTER DARK" every night you speaking with our own juries about their opinions on exactly these matters. What about the battle of the experts and what kind of a game changer this all is?
POLITAN: Well, the only way the defense can change the game with this expert is if this expert comes in and has an opinion based on something other than a story told to the expert by that woman, Jodi Arias. That`s the only way they can change the game with this testimony, because that`s the problem juries have. Is when the experts are basing their opinion on the words of Jodi Arias. And no jurors that we`ve had come into our studio have trusted the words of Jodi Arias.
HAMMER: Hmm. Well, of course, in the end, when the Jodi Arias case does go to the jury, again as early as this Friday, one witness of a different kind really could be the ultimate game changer. and that is No. 1 on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of potential "Homestretch Game Changers."
Travis Alexander`s ex-girlfriend, who testified that Travis was not the abuser that Jodi makes him out to be.

DEANNA REID, TRAVIS`S EX-GIRLFRIEND: We never really got mad at each other. We had a fun relationship.
HAMMER (voice-over): It was powerful, potentially game-changing testimony from Travis Alexander`s ex-girlfriend, Deanna Reid. That the allegedly violent and abusive Travis that Jodi Arias described on the stand...
ARIAS: Called me a bitch. He kicked me in the ribs.
HAMMER: ... bore no resemblance to the Travis Alexander Deanna dated.
MARTINEZ: Did he ever become verbally abusive to you?
REID: No.
MARTINEZ: At any time did he ever become physically abusive?
REID: No.
HAMMER: So which of Travis`s ex`s will the jury believe?

HAMMER: Well, if you`ve been following this case closely, I don`t need to remind you the heart of Jodi`s defense is that she had to kill her abusive boyfriend before he killed her.
Sunny, do you think that testimony from Travis`s other ex-girlfriend is a game changer that just negates Jodi`s story altogether?
HOSTIN: I think it certainly could be a game changer, because you have this other woman who was very credible on the witness stand saying, "He was the nicest guy. We didn`t have that dynamic in our relationship. You know, this is just so far-fetched."
But on the other hand, and you know Vinnie, I look at these things like that. I think that you may have one or two jurors that say, "Well, you know, sometimes I act differently depending on the relationship that I`m in. And maybe, just maybe Jodi brought the crazy out in Travis Alexander."
I`m not so sure about that. But I think it`s possible.
HAMMER: How does this witness shake out for you as a game changer, Vinnie?
POLITAN: Well, for me, if you have exes coming into court saying nice things about you, think about how difficult that is, A.J. And Travis has had more than one ex come in and say nice things. And the only ex who`s not saying nice things is the one who`s on trial. I think that speaks volumes.
HAMMER: And it is getting close. As early as Friday, we could be going to the jury. Sunny, Vinnie, thank you both so much.

Now, every year, "USA Today" tries to help you save your favorite TV shows that are close to the chopping block. They asked you to vote all this month in their "Save Our Show" survey on USAToday.com.
Well, tonight, I hope you`re ready, because it`s the big reveal. Which shows did you want to save the most?
With me in New York for a SHOWBIZ exclusive is "USA Today" writer Gary Levin, who`s the man behind "Save Our Shows." And we thank you for that Gary. Let`s get right to this. I want to know what are the top three shows that are on the bubble, as they say in the biz, that voters most wanted to save.
GARY LEVIN, WRITER, "USA TODAY": A.J., it`s "CSI: New York," as you just showed. It was the No. 1 show with about 38 percent of people wanting to keep it. Followed closely by "Body of Proof" and -- "Body of Proof" and "Vegas" on CBS.
HAMMER: OK. So would you say kind of a landslide for "CBS New York" -- "CSI: New York," rather, as the show that was ahead?
LEVIN: It wasn`t a landslide. It was significantly ahead, though. There were some changes, though, in terms of the age breakouts. When we looked at what teenagers most wanted, we saw "The New Normal," NBC`s comedy, was most popular. When we looked at 20- and 30-somethings, we saw ABC`s comedy "Happy Endings." And the older folks in the older age wanted the shows that you -- we just talked about.
HAMMER: So here`s what I want to know. Because all of the TV biz insiders and the people who work in the industry, I know they read "USA Today" and follow this survey. Are those shows actually going to be saved, in your mind, or should we make extra sure to catch those final episodes, just in case they don`t make it?
LEVIN: Some of them may be saved. Some of them, it`s too soon to tell. If I were gambling, I wouldn`t gamble on "Vegas" coming back. "CSI: New York" is a possible, though a little bit of a long shot, and "Body of Proof," it`s just too soon to tell.
HAMMER: And you mentioned "The New Normal." Is that not already set to come back?
LEVIN: No, it`s not.
HAMMER: All right. We`ll see what happens with that.
Now, I know you also polled people to see which shows they`d most like to see killed; the ones they wanted to go away. So which shows did people want to see go away forever?
LEVIN: NBC`s "Whitney," a comedy that people just didn`t seem to captivate them, and CW`s "The Carrie Diaries," the prequel to "Sex in the City."
HAMMER: Now, as somebody who follows TV, did that surprise you? Because I think there was a great deal of anticipation for "The Carrie Diaries," and from what you`re saying, that wasn`t followed through in people wanting to keep it around.
LEVIN: Yes. I think "The Carrie Diaries," people seem to object to the very idea that they were trying to remake or update this iconic show and set it in the `80s. So there was a lot of attention focused early on about it. But people just didn`t seem to really -- didn`t seem to captivate people.
Again, it has not been canceled yet. It might come back. But I would say it`s also a long shot.
HAMMER: Well, it`s going to be interesting to see what plays out, based on what you guys accomplished with the survey. Gary Levin, always good. Thank you so much.

Now, not only does the woman in Ray J`s new music video look an awful lot like Kim Kardashian, she actually reenacts the couple`s infamous sex scene in that sex tape, so I`m told, that made Kim famous.

HAMMER: I mean, are you kidding me? I`m looking at that and if you`ve seen that in a passing shot, it`s Kim Kardashian as far as I`m concerned. Trisha, Ray J obviously knew what he was doing by hiring this woman who, wow, I mean -- it`s really uncanny. But what an awful thing for Kim K. to have to deal with right now. Do you think that Kim should just continue to ignore Ray J or should she confront this conflict head on?
GODDARD: Well, you know, here`s what I think. As the mother of two daughters, I always say, listen, if you even -- if you allow that on button to record you in a sex act, then it`s out there forever. And I guess if you`ve got the Kardashians who live every cough and spit of their lives being recorded, you can`t be surprised that this happens. I don`t think there are any losers in here, in this and all of this. I mean would we have paid Ray J any mind if it had been about, I don`t know, the weather or just being in love? You know, he`s hit pay dirt. But the Kardashians -- Kim gave him the pay dirt in the first place.
HAMMER: Yeah, well, I`ll have to just disagree with you. I think Ray J, even though he`s getting the publicity of this thing, not a winner to me. I mean this just shows him as a truly classless guy. But he hasn`t exactly come clean about the meaning of his song to begin with. "I Hit It First." I mean what do we think it means? It doesn`t take a brain surgeon to figure it out.
GODDARD: Oh, yes.

HAMMER: And it is obvious to me that he`s having fun doing it. So, let`s look at this.
GODDARD: Oh, cool.

HAMMER: So Trisha, ponder this if you will. Maybe Ray J. needed some closure, maybe singing about his relationship with Kim and their sex tape is I don`t know, his way of resolving their issues saying maybe, OK, I put it out there and let`s move on now, or are you with me, what I really feel, it`s just in bad taste.
GODDARD: It`s about the money. Come on. It`s about the money. And this is a sure fire way of making money. That`s what this is all about. It`s not about closure. It`s about the bucks. And they will always win out in the end. So the message to young girls is, if your boyfriend asks you to make a video of you doing naughty stuff or have pictures taken ...
HAMMER: Yes.
GODDARD: Just say no.
HAMMER: ... or expect it to be out there, but it`s funny -- I was just -- I was trying to give some meaning and help Ray J along, but no -- not ...
GODDARD: No!
HAMMER: ... not a psychological thing that he`s doing with this.
GODDARD: Sorry.
HAMMER: But I do truly think that Kim K and Ray J can probably learn something from Madonna and Elton John. We have just learned today and I was so pleased to get this news. They have ended their long running feud. Let me bring out the SHOWBIZ Newsline for a little bit of history.
It all began back in 2002. Elton bashed Madonna`s song for the 007 film "Die Another Day." It was in 2004, when Elton accused Madonna of lip- synching during her "Reinvention" tour and during her Super Bowl performance. In 2012, not that long ago, Elton said Madonna`s career was over and it looked like that she looked like a fair ground stripper. But Elton and his husband, David Furnish have just told "Extra" that they put an end to the feud after running into Madonna at a restaurant in France. Let`s watch.

ELTON JOHN: What we did in France -- a restaurant in France in the summertime. We just happened to be in the same restaurant. She came in, I sent over a note. She was very gracious. I apologized profusely because what I said should never have appeared in public. She was very gracious, she accepted my -- our apology. We have ordered dinner and that`s over and done with. She was really great about it.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We don`t -- we don`t believe in putting negativity in the world.

He`s promoting a brand new excellent CD to benefit military families and, of course, I had to ask him about his daughter Miley`s engagement to Liam Hemsworth. Wait till you hear what he told me about that. But before we got there, I had to go way back with Billy, seven years back, that`s when I sat down with Billy Ray and his then 13-year-old daughter Miley Cyrus right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Just as she was about to make her bid debut on the Disney Channel as a character called Hannah Montana. Look at this.

HAMMER: Has she been buzzing all day?
BILLY RAY CYRUS: She`s been working her tail off. I mean we`ve been in New York for three days now. And it`s just been very exciting. This is her first trip to New York City.
HAMMER: It`s your very first time here. And you`ve lived in Tennessee in a ranch. You`ve now moved to Los Angeles, but here you are in the New York City. So, what are your impressions of our fair town?
MILEY CYRUS: I like it. It`s different, it`s very different than Nashville, but so is L.A., and I`m just -- keep going, but I love it.

HAMMER: I just think that`s so fascinating to see. Hard to believe, it was seven years ago. And in my brand new interview with Billy Ray, I asked him to look back and knowing what he knows now, what advice he would have given himself and his daughter back then. Watch this.

BILLY RAY CYRUS: To the daughter I would say, I`m so glad that you are still singing because you love it. To the papa, I would say, you know, be careful what you ask for because you just might get it.

BILLY RAY CYRUS: You know. This has been a life of, you know, a kid from eastern Kentucky grows up with a dream of buying a guitar, starting a band and then in 1992 to have a song like "Achy, Breaky Heart" and to catch this rocket ride, you know, called fame. Which fame is a very, very dangerous thing, you know. It`s two sides to every sword. You know, and I survived that ride, you know. And then along comes this thing called Hannah Montana and the rocket goes off again, only this time my little girl is on that ride. And so as a daddy, you want to protect her. You want to do everything right. But what`s the handbook for that? What`s the rule book for that? How is that -- there`s not a whole lot of -- there wasn`t really any guidelines for me to go. And A.J., trust me, I made a lot of mistakes. I`m the first guy to say, I am not a perfect father, I`m not a perfect person. But I did the best I could do under some very extreme circumstances playing out in front of the world not only on the show, but on the Internet.
HAMMER: And now she`s engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth. I know you like Liam. I obviously -- there`s been a lot of talk about them postponing the wedding. So, you`ve got to tell me, because, quite frankly, everybody needs to know, what`s going on? Are we getting -- are we closer to seeing them walk down the aisle?
BILLY RAY CYRUS: When they asked me about it, I said hey, you guys are good friends. No matter what you do, just always keep that friendship alive, you know. And value that friendship. And be good to each other. You know, good friends are hard to find. Piece of paper is a piece of paper.
HAMMER: There is something to that for sure. And look, these guys are actually pretty young. So in my mind, I`m not a dad, but if they didn`t get married right now, wouldn`t it be the worst thing in the world. There`s a lot of life left to be lived.
BILLY RAY CYRUS: You know, the main thing is for both of them to be happy. I know that that`s what - you know, that`s what -- that`s what I feel I think that`s what, you know, Liam`s family feels. All we want to see is these -- you know, our kids be happy. And, again, just live, love and laugh and the serious stuff, it will take care of itself when it`s time. You know, the main thing right now is if you got a good friend, you know, cherish that and value that and live, love, laugh and be happy.
HAMMER: Well, congratulations to you on your new CD, "Change My Mind." And it is so cool, Billy Ray, that the proceeds are going to benefit military families. What made you decide to do that?
BILLY RAY CYRUS: You know what, it just was a great opportunity to say thanks to our military men and women for their service and sacrifice. It`s called Armed Services YMCA Operation outdoors camp for kids. And when a mom or dad is deployed, this is a great way, you know, for the kids to go out and get some exercise, have some fun, get their mind off things and just enjoy life a little bit.

HAMMER: I love it. And I just spoke with a guy who was all excited about shipping. It`s Michael Bunin. And in this brand new SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview, Michael just told me that he actually worried that the daring commercial would be sunk before it ever saw the light of day.

MICHAEL BUNIN, ACTOR: The first time I saw this script, I thought it was funny and all the actors that were actually sitting there auditioning for it, all we talked about was, this is a funny script, there`s no way anybody will ever see it. I mean we just don`t think anybody would have the guts to show it.
(LAUGHTER)
BUNIN: And so, that was really the conversation that everybody had.
HAMMER: Shipped my pants.
BUNIN: It`s funny to hear it. I don`t know if anybody was truly offended. But it`s funny to hear the debate as to whether what we`re truly saying in the commercial.
HAMMER: Oh really? How is that going? People are not quite getting it? They actually think you`re saying the word that you`re not saying that ends with a different consonant?
BUNIN: I often get people -- because it`s weird to get strangers coming up to you about a commercial and they`ll come up and say to me like, hey did you ship your pants today? And it`s like you know, it`s a fun moment. But then they want to ask you like, did you say -- did you -- you know, did you mix it in there? And, you know, I`ve tried to tell them, like, no, we`re actually actors. We managed to say it the right way.
HAMMER: So, at what point, Michael, do you look at your career and say, now I`ve made it? Because quite frankly, 15 million hits on Youtube for something you`re doing is a pretty big deal these days.
BUNIN: You know, it`s funny. I don`t know that I`ll ever look and say I`ve made it or not made it. Because I`ve certainly been unbelievably lucky as an actor. I`m fortunate to work for so many years. But I`ll always look back at this and think, you know, any time I do a project, I might gauge it as well, how many Youtube hits did it get? Because this is going to be -- this is a pretty good watermark. I don`t know if I`m going to top this.
HAMMER: Yes. You set the bar very high. And it`s so great, I`m sure, for you to be attached to such a successful and funny product and project. But look, I know you`re a Vegas guy, you`re originally from Las Vegas.
BUNIN: Yeah.
HAMMER: Maybe, would you think you`ve really made it if you could do your own one-man show on the Vegas strip someday? Because I know that`s a dream for a lot of people. What about you?
BUNIN: I`m not going to lie to you. Anybody that comes out of Vegas, that`s an actor or performer, and anyway, the goal is to leave Vegas to go get some semblance of success so that you can come back to Vegas ...
HAMMER: Right.
BUNIN: ...and do a stage show.
HAMMER: And get some lions and tigers, and live out your years, hang it out on the strip. Nice.
BUNIN.: No tigers. I think we`ve old learned a lesson.
HAMMER: That`s true.
BUNIN: No wild animals on stage. I think I`ll be fine with maybe a backup band and a glass of scotch. I think that would work much safer.

But what if that girl is a huge elk and the bling is a big old tire. Did you see this? Now, if you had a bummer of a Monday, here now is CNN`s Jeanne Moos with that unfortunate elk and some of her friends to prove your day could have been a lot worse.

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: It could be worse. It could be a squirrel with her head stuck in a cup or a skunk jammed into a jar of peanut butter. Get me outta here!

MOOS: But an elk wearing a tire like a necklace? At least she can see.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I just thought it was very funny to see this elk with the tire around her neck. A little big of bling.
MOOS: The female elk has become a celebrity elk in Morrison, Colorado where she hangs out with her herd. Wildlife officials don`t want to tranquilize her to remove the tire, because they`re worried she might be pregnant. And it`s traumatic to be tranquilized. She`s able to move, she`s able to eat, she`s even able to lick herself. So for now, she`s being spared the tire change.
But you know, there are sillier things that an elk can get stuck around her neck.
How does an elk get entangled with a barstool? The resident who took these photos, Bill Johnson, believes the elk encountered the barstool under a neighbor`s desk where some stools were stored. Back when this happened four years ago, wildlife officials tried to help.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We make every attempt we can to get that stool off her head.
MOOS: But they had trouble getting close and a tranquilizer dart bounced off her. Officials said the barstool didn`t seem to be hurting anything. I can tell you from personal experience, it`s no picnic galloping around with a stool around his neck. The local paper held a contest asking folks to speculate about how the elk ended up wearing a barstool. One eight- year-old illustrated her theory that the elk had a few too many drinks, tripped and the stool fell on him. Like many bar stories, we`ll never know how this one ended because wildlife officials say they lost track of the barstool elk.
Forget the cliche about a deer in the headlights, this is a deer tangled in Christmas lights. And another elk has been sighted stuck in a dog dish for six years. What`s next? The campaign to warn elks not to drink and drive?

SHOWBIZ is on location outside L.A. famous Grauman`s Chinese Theater. For this night right there, it`s Oscar winner Jane Fonda put her hand and put prints in cement right next to those of her legendary dad, Henry Fonda.
JANE FONDA: I remember coming to this theater and, you know, sometimes for my father`s premieres. My father was Henry Fonda. And, you know, walking past the hand and footprints and thinking I hope one day that happens for me. And then I got older and older and now I`m 75. And I figured well, guess it wasn`t meant to be. To me, this is a huge honor and in particular the fact that I`m right next to my dad. It means the world to me. And I feel him here with me.

HAMMER: Time for SHOWBIZ Awesomeness. This is where we name the most awesome moment of the day. And I`m thinking tonight, awesome, it seems like too small of a word to describe how amazing this must have been. The Rolling Stones just gave a surprise concert at a small Los Angeles club for the low, low price of 20 bucks a ticket. They sent the news out on Twitter just hours before the show. 2,000 people reportedly turned up. Only about 700 got in. The 90-minute set was really a warmup for the band`s "50 and Counting" tour. Take a look at what those lucky fans got to experience.
