THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.
NATASHA CURRY, HOST: Tonight on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," it`s a top three "SHOWBIZ Justice Shockers." Amanda Bynes on mental lockdown, being held for 72 hours, after allegedly setting somebody`s driveway ablaze with a gas bomb.
And George Zimmerman to the rescue. Did he really just help a family escape from their flipped SUV?
Which "Justice Shocker" will top the "SHOWBIZ Countdown" tonight?
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT starts right now.
Hey there, hope you`re doing well. Natasha Curry in for A.J. Hammer.
And as Duchess Catherine and Prince William revealed their royal son to the world today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT brings you the startling comparisons between Kate and Princess Di. That is coming up.
But we begin with a "SHOWBIZ Countdown." We`re counting down three big brand-new "Justice Shockers" today.
And kicking it off at No. 3, the boom falls on Bynes. After months of acting, well, totally bizarre, Amanda Bynes is finally off the streets tonight, being held against her will, taken to a mental facility by the cops after she allegedly set a small fire outside of a home in Thousand Oaks, California.
The so-called 5150 hold was the same thing that was used to put away Britney Spears for a while a few years ago.
Attorney Darren Kavinoky is in Hollywood tonight. He`s the host of "Deadly Sins" in Investigation Discovery. And Lauren lake, who`s also an attorney and will be the judge of a new show that`s called "Paternity Court."
So guys, first, let`s listen to the 911 call that led to Bynes getting put away. That was just revealed this afternoon. A caller reports that there`s a strange and dangerous-looking fire. Listen.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: OK, what`s on fire?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s like -- it`s like a small piece of cloth, and a gasoline tank, which is why I`m calling 911.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: OK. And where is it? Is it in the roadway?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No, it`s in a driveway.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: How scary to get that kind of a call: a lit cloth, a gasoline tank. They`re lucky it didn`t blow up. And now Amanda Bynes is being held in a mental facility. Darren, is it about time, do you think?
DARREN KAVINOKY, ATTORNEY: Well, yes. This is a "SHOWBIZ Shocker," but is it really so surprising?
And I get that the fire may have been strange and dangerous, but those words could have probably applied just as easily to Amanda. The police don`t take you in on a 5150 hold unless they believe that you`re a danger to either yourself or others, or you`re gravely disabled. And that initial 72-hour hold can get extended by 14 days if you don`t play nice when you are in that psychiatric hospital.
CURRY: Yes, and getting locked up on a so-called 5150, ended up being the first step in Britney Spears` recovery after a year of really bizarre behavior. Lauren, could this end up being a good thing for Amanda?
LAUREN LAKE, ATTORNEY: Absolutely. I`m with Darren. I want the extension. We`ve been watching this girl for the last several weeks be so bizarre, her behavior. And it can be a spectacle. And as we watch, for some people it can be entertaining.
But we really have to think about the fact that there could be some real mental issues going on that need to be addressed, and this could be the starting point. She needs it.
CURRY: Yes. We`re all concerned for her. We want to see good things happen for her.
And guys, I want to show you something that knocked our socks off here at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. But we just found this clip from back in 2005 when a then 19-year-old Amanda Bynes stopped by SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. And she was at the top of her career, keep in mind. And we asked her how she manages to stay so clean cut compared to other teens. And watching her answer really gives us the goose bumps. Look.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
AMANDA BYNES, ACTRESS: I don`t like drinking, and a lot of kids do. And I think that that`s sort of the main difference. I think, when alcohol`s involved, you sort of do things that you wouldn`t necessarily do, if you were together. And what can I say? Maybe one day I`ll become a big drunkard, and you`ll have tons to talk about.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: So sadly Amanda`s prediction apparently came true. She`s giving us a lot to talk about now. Darren, quickly, what`s it like watching Amanda there?
KAVINOKY: Strangely prophetic to see those words come from her.
And Lauren and I are 100 percent aligned on this. Hopefully, this will have a happy ending. And I know from the work that I do in court and in public speaking, that the seemingly worst events in our lives can be the catalysts for absolutely seemingly miraculous transformations.
CURRY: You make a -- you make a great point. And moving on now to No. 2 on the "SHOWBIZ Justice" countdown. George Zimmerman to the rescue.
Everyone is talking today about the shocking new report that Zimmerman helped a family get out of an overturned SUV in Sanford, Florida. Zimmerman quickly left the scene and went back into seclusion where he`s been ever since he was acquitted or murder in the Trayvon Martin shooting.
So Lauren, will this change people`s opinion maybe of Zimmerman? What do you think?
LAKE: You`ve asked the wrong person. Because for me, look, you know I keep it real. I don`t think the opinion of him can be changed right now. I believe that he unjustifiably took a life of an innocent teen. Although he was not found guilty under the law, I still believe it was an unjust killing.
And look, if he wants to spend his life work helping to save other people - - and thank goodness these people were saved -- so be it. But I don`t think he`s going to turn into a hero overnight. To be honest, if I were his representatives and attorneys, I would tell him to go somewhere and lay low.
CURRY: And No. 1 on our "SHOWBIZ Countdown" is a former murder defendant, even more famous than Zimmerman. O.J. Simpson. And like Zimmerman, O.J. could soon be a free man. We`re about to get a court decision in Las Vegas that might overturn O.J.`s 2008 armed robbery and kidnapping conviction.
Now, O.J.`s currently serving a nine- to 33-year sentence in Nevada, and if he gets out, he may have landed his next TV gig. We`re going to tell you what that is in just a minute.
First, though, let`s get straight out to Las Vegas correspondent Ted Rowlands there for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Ted, what`s going on?
TED ROWLANDS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, O.J.`s asking for a new trial. And normally, when the defendant asks for a new trial because of ineffective counsel, it is such a long shot it`s almost a joke, and it always comes back negative, denied.
In this case, his lawyers really believe they have a chance, because Yale Galanter, his old attorney during this trial, had a conflict of interest. They think they have a chance.
If he gets it, he`ll likely be out of jail, because there`s no way Clark County`s going to go through that all again with O.J. Simpson.
So a lot riding on this. Don`t expect the decision maybe for another couple weeks, but it`s been two months. A good chance O.J. will be out after this decision comes down.
CURRY: Yes, and everyone`s talking about, will we be seeing him on the TV screen or on the big screen? Who knows? Ted Rowlands, thank you so much. So you`re wondering that, right?
The big question, would he resurrect his acting career? There is one explosive report tonight that O.J. is planning to do just that by co- starring with another notorious celebrity -- Charlie Sheen! So is that just too good to be true?
"The New York Post" reports that O.J.`s people suggested an idea to appear on Sheen`s FX sitcom, "Anger Management." And get this: the report says that Simpson would play a famous con who`s angry about being locked up. But today`s "L.A. Times" quotes a source at FX who says it will never happen.
All right. So Darren, O.J. and Charlie Sheen together on screen, I don`t know. Is that something that you want to see? Is that dangerous? I don`t know.
KAVINOKY: Yes. What`s that about life imitating art? Or life imitating art? I don`t think we`re going to see O.J. Simpson or George Zimmerman or Casey Anthony, for that matter, doing any sitcoms anytime soon.
O.J. has already been tried and convicted in the court of public opinion. If he does successfully navigate through the court of law and finds a way to get released, I hope he lays low.
CURRY: Lauren, what do you think? Great TV or a bad idea?
LAKE: Bad idea. But you know what, people will probably watch. And that`s the sad thing.
CURRY: Yes. You know people would watch it. Definitely be a talker.
Moving on now, brand-new proof that Beyonce may be the toughest performer on the planet. Look.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
(MUSIC)
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: Beyonce`s hair gets snatched by a giant fan while she`s mid-song in concert. We`re revealing how she got free without missing a single beat.
Plus, Oprah Winfrey`s former "Color Purple" co-star rips her in a shocking "N" word tirade.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
RAE DAWN CHONG, ACTRESS: If you look at the way she looks, she looks like -- 60 years ago, she would have been a housekeeper, luckily. She would not have been a house (EXPLETIVE DELETED). She would have been a field (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: So is Rae Dawn Chong insisting that that tirade was actually a compliment? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reveals the whole bizarre story.
This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
CURRY: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Natasha Curry in for A.J. Hammer.
And right now "SHOWBIZ True Crime." Tonight, new questions about a murder trial that starts next week in Atlanta. A story so sensational, that it could give the Jodi Arias trial a run for its money.
Andrea Sneiderman is about to go on trial for the 2010 murder of her husband, Rusty, who was killed execution style outside of their son`s daycare center. Andrea`s ex-boss was convicted of shooting Rusty, and investigators believe that she was having an affair with him and put him up to the murder. Now, she denies that. HLN`s Mike Galanos takes us to the scene of the crime.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
MIKE GALANOS, HLN CORRESPONDENT: Here we are at Dunwoody Prep where an unthinkable murder played out.
Rusty Sneiderman, let`s get a little bit closer, because you see this brick wall? Bullet casings lined that brick wall as Rusty Sneiderman was gunned down by Hemy Neuman.
And let`s get even closer as we try to take in this whole scene. On the other side of this brick wall, innocence, and you can hear it. Little children on swings, playing. And even further inside, think of that scene, a 2-year-old, Rusty Sneiderman`s son, having no idea that he would never see his father again because he was gunned down. He was lying in a pool of his own blood right here. That`s what was playing out here.
But what was going on elsewhere? And what was going on with Andrea Sneiderman? Because that`s why we`re here today. A case is going to play out, answering the question: Was Andrea Sneiderman the puppet master? Pulling the strings in her own husband`s death?
(END VIDEOTAPE)
CURRY: But today a new shocking twist in this murder mystery. An Atlanta station now reporting that prosecutors are considering dropping the murder and assault charges against Sneiderman, leaving 13 lesser charges, like perjury and making false statements.
Let`s bring back our defense attorneys, Darren Kavinoky, host of Investigation Discovery`s "Deadly Sins," and Lauren Lake, a TV judge on the upcoming "Paternity Court" airing this fall.
So we`re so close to this Sneiderman murder trial, guys. Now we`re hearing that there may not be a murder trial after all. Darren, what in the world is going on here?
KAVINOKY: Yes, this one`s really bizarre, because this case has been around for years. And now here we are, one week away from the start of jury selection, and now prosecutors are talking about eliminating the murder charges.
And Georgia has some very liberal laws about how somebody can be responsible for indirectly participating in a crime and still be fully liable.
So this one doesn`t make sense on several levels because we know there`s strong evidence that she had an affair, that she gave Hemy Neuman, her boss, the one who pulled the trigger, she gave him information about her husband`s whereabouts and movements and that she hid evidence afterwards and misdirected law enforcement. This is going to be a juicy case.
CURRY: Yes. And Lauren, what are your instincts telling you?
LAKE: My instincts are telling me that something about the evidence is flimsy. Something about it they`re not comfortable with.
And I think this is a great -- the story is a great lesson as we talk about law on television because we watch so many crime shows. And every case goes to trial and there`s a conclusion. And sometimes they don`t. Sometimes we get all the way up to trial and the next thing you know, either, as we`re seeing now, potentially charges could be dropped, or we`re waiting for the big trial, and a deal happens and there`s no trial.
So our legal justice system is ever flowing and changing. I`m fascinated as to what`s going to happen. And is this terrible to say, but I almost was interested in seeing this trial? So -- you know what I mean, Darren? I don`t think that`s right to say, but I wanted to see this trial play out.
CURRY: How in the world could that happen at a daycare center? Darren, what`s the key to proving this murder case?
KAVINOKY: I`m like Lauren: If wanting to see a murder trial is wrong, I don`t want to be right. Because this one is juicy.
But I think the key is her knowledge beforehand, or her giving Hemy Neuman all that information about her husband`s movements. There are all sorts of e-mails from Hemy Neuman talking to somebody else about the affair that he`s having with Andrea and Andrea denying the affair and then trying to throw cops off of Hemy Neuman`s trail. And this one is so juicy.
And even if they drop the murder charges, Natasha, she`s still looking at decades in prison on all of these other related charges about perjury and all that good stuff. So stay tuned.
CURRY: All right, guys, thanks so much. I want to make sure everyone knows HLN will provide full coverage starting next Monday.
And I have another must-see "SHOWBIZ Countdown" ahead for you. "SHOWBIZ Shockers," caught on tape, including the shocking "N" word attack on Oprah Winfrey by her "Color Purple" co-star.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CHONG: If you look at the way she looks, she looks like 60 years ago, she would have been a housekeeper, luckily. She would not have been a house (EXPLETIVE DELETED). She would have been a field (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: And this might be even more shocking than that tirade. Is Rae Dawn Chong actually defending her racial outburst?
Plus, forward about pop flies. This baseball player just got nailed by a skydiver. It`s today`s top three "SHOWBIZ Shockers" caught on tape. So which is going to be No. 1?
This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

First up, Honey Boo-Boo versus the "Cake Boss" crew. It`s the ultimate reality TV battle, facing off in a special episode of "Family Feud," and it was just taped. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there as both sides are throwing down the gauntlet. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We have determination.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Can make anything happen. So all`s I`m just going to say, is Honey Boo-Boo`s family, they got to watch out.
JUNE THOMPSON, REALITY TV STAR: I think that both of our families are very competitive, so it`s going to be a nice thing to see which one of us will win.
ALANA THOMPSON, REALITY TV STAR: Y`all better redneck-ognize.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: That`s right, Honey Boo-Boo. Y`all better redneck-ognize.
Here with me tonight is E! News Terence Jay from Hollywood. So Terence, what a match-up here, and the winner actually walks away with a $20,000 jackpot for their favorite charity. It`s all going to play out on "Family Feud" in September, coming up.
But meantime, I want to get your prediction now on who has this one in the bag. You`ve got 30 seconds.
TERENCE JAY, E! NEWS: That`s real easy. TLC has this one in the bag. I mean, if you were to mention TLC five, ten years ago, you would have been talking about the group. Right now for them to have two hit shows like this is truly unprecedented. Congratulations to them and congratulations to whoever gets the charity money. I can`t wait to watch "Family Feud" and check it out. It`s going to be awesome (ph).
CURRY: All right. So you`re team "Honey Boo-Boo."
Moving on now to our second "Quick Hit" tonight, it`s truly a frightening moment when a ceremonial skydiver loses control of his parachute, then dropkicks an unsuspecting baseball player, then knocks the player right down. This cringe-worthy moment happened during a summer league game in Hannibal, Missouri.
Watch it with me here. Check this guy out, heading right for the field. It looks like he`s going to be -- you know, make it a smooth landing, but the camera turns, and he lands right -- right on top of one of the players. That player later tweeted that he`s OK. Thank goodness.
But Terence, his teammates, they didn`t even give him a head`s up. And you`ve got to wonder, I mean, what was going through his mind when he got nailed like that. Your take in 30?
JAY: I mean, it looks like he got a little caught off guard, so I don`t think much was going on through his mind.
But like you said, the real problem, his teammates, nobody giving him a head`s up that somebody was falling out of the sky and about to hit him. Unbelievable.
CURRY: Yes, it`s crazy.
Now, speaking of things coming out of nowhere, I want to show you here the unbelievable photos just in to SHOWBIZ. So check out this woman who is trying to take a horse through a McDonald`s drive-through for real. She was on the horse, in the drive-through, trying to place an order. And the worker said no way, no ponies in the drive-through. So what did she do? She took the horse inside. And again, the worker said, "Unh-uh. No horses in the restaurant."
But the story gets even better, because as you know, the horse, look at this. Poops right on the floor. Yes. So Terence, did Mickey D`s get their just desserts? Thirty seconds.
JAY: You know, there`s not much to say about this story. The lady is just out of line for walking in with the horse, but this definitely lets me know I need to eat at home a lot more. I don`t want to see horses or any poop near my burger.
CURRY: Yes, and you`ve got to wonder: Did they say in the drive-through, you know, "Why don`t you go and order inside the restaurant?" She took the pony with her.
So we did reach out to McDonald`s today, and they are telling SHOWBIZ TONIGHT the health and safety of customers and staff is top priority, and they just can`t serve customers on horseback.
JAY: You think? Yes.
CURRY: Yes, Terence Jay, thank you so much.
JAY: Thank you for having me.
CURRY: OK. Get ready for a hair-raising "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "SHOWBIZ Shockers," caught on tape.
Beyonce`s beautiful hair gets caught in a huge electric fan right in the middle of a concert. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT revealing the real story behind this terrifying accident.
And check out this shocker caught on tape. A mama bear rescues her baby cub from a Dumpster. She`s definitely smarter than the average bear, but which caught-on-tape shocker is going to top tonight`s SHOWBIZ Countdown?
This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
CURRY: Now the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "SHOWBIZ Shockers," caught on tape, including Beyonce`s hairy moment here on stage. Her hair pulled into an electric fan while she`s singing. So did the show go on? And is that more shocking than this tirade from Oprah Winfrey`s co-star in "The Color Purple"?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CHONG: You look at the way she looks. She looks like 60 years ago she would have been a housekeeper, luckily. She would not have been a house (EXPLETIVE DELETED). She would have been a field (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: No, Rae Dawn Chong is feeling the heat today after that stunning attack on Oprah. Will her apology be enough to undo the damage? "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" continues right now.
Welcome back to "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT." Natasha Curry here in for A.J. Hammer. And tonight as we get our very first look at the royal baby, "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" is revealing the startling comparisons between Kate Middleton and Princess Di. Late today for the very first time, Duchess Kate and Prince William stepped outside at St. Mary`s Hospital in London giving the world its first look at the newest heir to the throne, just one day after Kate gave birth. Adorable. And don`t you see him there? Absolutely adorable. I think he looks like daddy, do you? His birth name, still yet to be revealed. And I`m sure today many are thinking back, you know, 31 years ago when Princess Diana introduced her young prince to the world for the very first time on those very same steps. And there`s a long list of similarities between the princess and the duchess. Here`s CNN`s "New Day" co-host Kate Bolduan in London for "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT."
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(CHEERS)
KATE BOLDUAN, "NEW DAY" CO-HOST: No doubt many were flashing back to June of 1982 when Princess Diana introduced the world to baby Prince William for the first time. When this framed birth announcement was placed on a gilded easel outside Buckingham Palace, Will and Kate`s tiny new addition officially became part of a family full of long-standing tradition, like that easel. It`s the same one that bore the announcement of Prince William 31 years ago, and the hospital, dozens of news organizations have been staked outside the Lindo Wing at St. Mary`s Hospital for weeks.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: May we see your son, your royal highness?
BOLDUAN: The same place Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William.
MICHELLE TAN, SENIOR EDITOR PEOPLE: Which is really - Kate and Will are really upholding tradition with the birth of their baby boy. They both went to the same wing that Princess Diana and Prince Charles welcomed William. And so, what we`re seeing is they`re following tradition.
BOLDUAN: Every moment of their pregnancies was seen and scrutinized around the world. From how they looked to what they wore.
TAN: They were actually starting trends. Whatever they wore, other people followed - and usually whenever whether it was Diana or Kate, those dresses sold out immediately.
BOLDUAN: So, will Kate mirror Diana in motherhood? The new baby prince will be raised in the same home, Kensington Palace, where William and Harry grew up. And many royal experts believe Kate will try to give her child the same sense of normalcy Diana always strived for.
TAN: We`re going to see probably them take the baby on official tours, the same way that Diana took Prince William and Prince Harry on official tours. She really wants to be a hands-on mom. They`re really going to be a united front in terms of a family.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
CURRY: And there you heard it, a united front in terms of a family, kind of the way it wasn`t back when Princess Di and Prince Charles were first married and they had their first children. Let`s take you to London tonight. CNN`s Atika Shubert here for a "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" from Kensington Palace. Atika, what an exciting day. What kind of comparisons are being made there about Duchess Catherine and Princess Diana on such an incredible day? I mean as we just mentioned, it was on those very same hospital steps that Princess Di and Prince Charles introduced Prince William to the world.
ATIKA SHUBERT, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, it was an image that was just as iconic as when Prince William was brought out in 1982. But this was all the more touching and emotional. Because not only did they come out and present the new addition to their family, but Prince William actually took the baby in his arms, and you get to see right there, not only is Kate Middleton going to be hands on mother, but Prince William is going to be hands on father as well. Then they took the extra time to speak to the press. And you really got a sense of their warm sense of humor there. They say, they apologized for taking a little bit of time with the name. We will now find out an actual name until about a week from now, but this is they wanted time to get to know their baby. And that really just made them all the more endearing and human. And then, they popped the baby into a car seat and Prince Charles got into the driver seat and drove them home to Kensington Palace. So they looked very normal.
CURRY: It was very exciting to watch. And you`re right. It was just so normal to see little baby king - we`re just calling him for right now. His little hand sticking out. And I would have to imagine, too, on such a joyous day, that Prince William had his late mom on his mind. Princess Di, wishing that she could have lived to see this day. Today he was talking about his first child and about possibly naming him. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
PRINCE WILLIAM: He`s got a good pair of lungs on him, that`s for sure. He`s a big boy. He`s quite heavy, but we`re still working on a name. So we`ll have that as soon as we can. But it`s first time we`ve seen him really. So I think a proper chance to catch up.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: So, no name yet. We`ve heard Charles, James, even William tossed around. Prince William, he didn`t have a name for couple of days. Any idea when we`re going to know this baby`s name?
SHUBERT: We don`t know. I mean Prince William, when he was first sort of presented to the world, it took about a week later before we actually found out his full name. His name, of course, according to royal protocol will need the queen`s approval. So we`re not going to see full name of His Royal Highness Prince of Cambridge just yet .
CURRY: Oh.
SHUBERT: Hopefully, we will have it soon. And I do apologize for mixing up my princes there. It`s been a really exciting day.
(LAUGHTER)
SHUBERT: And I think it`s just been a little tiring. So, I do apologize for that.
CURRY: We all know what you mean. And how exciting to see, you know, Prince William carrying the new heir to the throne. Third in line, anyway. Those muscular forearms. He just increased his hotness factor too. So, we can`t wait. Atika Shubert in London, thank you.
And now, the SHOWBIZ Countdown, we`re counting down the top three brand new SHOWBIZ shockers caught on tape. But let`s kick off the countdown now with number three. This just revealed video of Beyonce beating down a fan. Not a fan as in a person. We`re talking about a wind fan that was trying to get the best of her "Halo," as she was performing her song "Halo," during her concert in Montreal. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BEYONCE (singing)
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: And Beyonce amazingly didn`t even miss a beat while her hair`s getting sucked in and chewed up by that fan. Got a - get out to Michelle Buteau who is a comedian and cast member for "Best Week Ever" on BH1. Michelle, and she just kept singing while her hair was getting swallowed up by that wind fan. How the heck did she hold it together like that?
MICHELLE BUTEAU, CAST MEMBER, "BEST WEEK EVER": I don`t know. She was like a four-year-old in "Toddlers in Tiaras," she`s like don`t miss a beat.
(LAUGHTER)
BUTEAU: But I`m like, damn girl, you are Beyonce, OK, just rip the wig off and be like hey y`all and - and be gone with the wind fabulous, like you don`t have to keep singing. I mean this is my most favorite video. I`ve seen it like 45 times. Like I think everybody is going to start making videos like this, just like getting a hair caught up in the fan and be like, what, I`m doing my Beyonce dance. Like she can make anything sound cool. I`m glad she`s OK. You know .
CURRY: I know. Me, too. Most of us (INAUDIBLE) about fan to look sexy, but that wasn`t - you know, that didn`t look sexy, but she did make it look sexy and even more amazing, she just kept trucking through that song. But let`s do a quick rewind here and watch how the whole thing played out.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
(CHEERS)
BEYONCE (singing)
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: Oh, my gosh, even cracked smile, didn`t cry. Beyonce, she was a really good sport about it. It even posted - look at this, the new lyrics to her song, "Halo" that read "Gravity can`t begin to pull me out of the fan again. I felt my hair was yanking from the fan that`s always hating." So I was about to sing that for you, you wouldn`t want to hear it. But I want to bring in entertainment journalist Rachel Zalis in Hollywood. Rachel, I mean so tender headed, I can`t imagine getting through that so well as gracefully as Beyonce did. You?
RACHEL ZALIS, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: I mean, all hail Queen Bee.
(LAUGHTER)
ZALIS: Is there anything that woman cannot do? I mean everyone knows you do not mess with a woman and her weave. And she`s just - out. She`s amazing! Look at her!
(LAUGHTER)
CURRY: For the record, if she bought it, it`s her hair.
From Beyonce and fan behaving badly to number two in our countdown of shockers caught on tape, a brand new video of mama bear trying to rescue her baby bear from a dumpster. Watch with me here. The poor bear trying everything to open up this dumpster. She knows her little baby is in there. Apparently mama and baby were looking for some food when one of the cubs got stuck in the dumpster. Mom is sniffing out the back. And look, finally here, another one of mama`s baby bears joining on the rescue effort here. And someone from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife came to the cub`s rescue. You can see him there getting out of the trash, helping out, the cubs, you know, they are really scared. But look - is that toilet paper on his ears? I don`t know, maybe he got good - a good dinner. But a sibling cub tops down, and you can see the - finally, the hatch open. He was like, mom, thanks so much, I was missing you.
So, Michelle, this is better than some of the specials on Discovery. Real life, animal kingdom at the dumpster. What would you have done if you rolled up on that scene?
BUTEAU: Well, I wouldn`t have taped it, that`s for sure. I would have been running, like .
(LAUGHTER)
BUTEAU: There`s a bear in the house! But how cute is this bear, she`s like, not without my daughter, let me in this trash can. I love it. I think bears should have 911. Hello, what are you going to do ...
(CROSSTALK)
(LAUGHTER)
BUTEAU: But my mama showed me. Right.
CURRY: Right. You don`t go near a mama baby - mama bear and a baby. But Michelle, Rachel, tell me because next, the big reveal of our number one SHOWBIZ shocker. Caught on tape. This one is crazy. Oprah Winfrey "Color Purple" co-star and her shocking tirade against the talk show queen.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
RAE DAWN CHONG: If you looked at the way she looks, she looks like 60 years ago she would have been a housekeeper, luckily. She would not have been a housekeeper. [expletive deleted]. She would have been a [expletive deleted].
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: It`s the outrageous new tape of Rae Dawn Chong slamming Oprah. So, does she seriously think that she was paying Oprah a compliment? Plus, get ready to dive in the "Sharknado Secret," a sequel to the sci-fi movie hit is in the forecast. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is going one-on-one with "Sharknado`s" director.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hey, move!
(END VIDEO CLIP)
(LAUGHTER)
CURRY: This is a severe weather alert you couldn`t afford to miss.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
WENDY WILLIAMS: Do you remember Rae Dawn Chong, everybody? Well, for today her name was Rae Dawn Wrong.
(LAUGHTER)
WILLIAMS: Let me tell you something, OK? She starred with Oprah in "The Color Purple." And she gave this radio interview where she just threw words about Oprah all around. She even called Oprah the N word.
AUDIENCE: Oh.
(END VIDEO CLIP)?
CURRY: Yeah, that`s Wendy Williams ripping into Oprah`s "Color Purple" costar, Rae Dawn Chong on her show this morning after Chong makes a half- hearted apology for calling Oprah the n word. Yeah. That takes us to the big reveal on tonight`s number one on our SHOWBIZ countdown of today`s caught on tape shockers. Rae Dawn Cong stunning new radio interview. A jaw-dropping racial rant on Matty P`s radio "Happy Hour", which is an Internet radio show. It`s stunning what she says. Listen.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
RAE DAWN CHONG: She was that fat chick that was the cheerleader, the want to be cheerleader in school that was the student council president that was the best friends with the principal. If you look at the way she looks, she looks like 60 years ago, she would have been a housekeeper, luckily. She would not have been a housekeeper [EXPLETIVE DELETED]. She would have been a [EXPLETIVE DELETED].
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: I cannot believe she said that. Michelle Buteau from VH1, "Best Week Ever" is back with us. Michelle, I mean it`s not really clear where all of this hate is coming from. And we know they co-starred in "The Color Purple" together. But what the heck was Rae Dawn Chong thinking?
BUTEAU: I don`t know what she was thinking. I mean was she just high on life, if you know what I`m saying? She was probably on this podunk radio station, thinking no one was going to hear her. I think she`s just drinking the hate-o-rade against Oprah. I mean there`s probably a reason why Oprah doesn`t even like her in the first place. I mean come on, girl, I`m so disappointed, but like Oprah says, we`re not in competition with each other, only competition with ourselves. So hello girl, snap snap, don`t be (inaudible). Stop talking smack.
(LAUGHTER)
CURRY: Yeah, I don`t get where it`s all coming from. Now, to Rachel Zalis in Hollywood. Rachel, I can`t think of anything that can excuse what she said. Can you?
ZALIS: No. She`s gone crazy. I mean, it`s almost 30 years later. She`s insulting our national treasure. I mean come on, they say all press is good press, but definitely not in this case. If she wants to get back in the spotlight, go on "Dancing with the Stars." Much better direction to go.
CURRY: Yeah, you got to wonder if she just kissed her career goodbye with those comments. But needless to say, Chong got ripped apart in the social media world. Making what seemed to be an apology, posting this video here, that some are calling very bizarre. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
RAE DAWN CHONG: Do I have issues with her? Yes. Am I perfect? No. Do I take back everything I said? No. Am I in pain that it`s caused pain, to me, to her? Yes.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: All right, so not exactly an apology there. She told TMZ, that she was complimenting Oprah. I don`t see that, Michelle. I mean do you see that on the world? Could that - what she said be excused for complimenting Oprah?
How in the world could that be a compliment?
BUTEAU: Honestly, I think she`s just a little jelly because she probably thought that her and Oprah had a better relationship, maybe in her head in "The Color Purple." But Oprah can smell crazy from a mile away. And the only reason why we`re even talking about her, is because she`s talking smack about Oprah. So get it together, girl. Come on. Do a little or no mistake and get it together.
CURRY: Yeah, and listen one more time what she said. Try to imagine how this could be a compliment.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CHONG: She was that fat chick that was the cheerleader, or the want to be cheerleader in school that was the student council president, that was the best friends with the principal. If you look at the way she looks, she looks like 60 years ago, she would have been a housekeeper luckily. She would not have been a [EXPLETIVE DELETED]. She would have been a [EXPLETIVE DELETED].
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: So, what does she mean, growing up, Rachel? I give up. I don`t hear anything complimentary there. You, ladies?
BUTEAU: No.
ZALIS: Nothing at all. She also says that Oprah kisses up to the most powerful woman - person in the room. Hello, Oprah is the most powerful person in the room.
(LAUGHTER)
BUTEAU: Looking in the mirror, rightly?
ZALIS: So get it straight!
CURRY: Michelle, Rachel, thanks so much.
BUTEAU: OK.
CURRY: And brace yourself for "Sharknado" sequel secrets. Fierce tornadoes, airborne sharks, the sci-fi movie hit is coming back. This is SBT, "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT," on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Get out of the way!
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Tonya, move!
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: No way! A severe weather alert for you. Another "Sharknado" is ripping on to America`s shores. That`s right, you`d better brace yourself for a "Sharknado" sequel. Sci-fi was so happy with the way fans devoured its hit TV movie "Sharknado," the network just announced a "Sharknado" 2 is now in the works. Right now it`s SHOWBIZ "Sharknado" secrets revealed.
And I know you`re dying to find out the "Sharknado" sequel, what it`s going to be like. Well, it`s your lucky night because "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" just went one-on-one with "Sharknado`s" director Anthony Ferrante. A comic-con. And Ferrante is cooking up some brilliant ideas on how he wants to make the "Green List" sequel. And he`s sharing all his dirty little sharky secrets with us. So will there be more sharks flying through the air? Is the "Sharknado" really going to destroy New York City this time around? And most importantly, how does he want to unleash the "Sharknado" this time around. Watch what Ferrante just revealed to us.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ANTHONY FERRANTE: I think you still have to do shark-ferno. You know, I mean I want to see - I want to see like a tornado go through a skyscraper and water and flames. And I mean I think that would be awesome. But then it`s like, you keep coming up with ideas. I mean it never ends. You know, you could keep doing this stuff as long as you just think bigger and bigger and bigger. You know, if you`re going to destroy New York, you got to go through like, you know, the ball fields, you got to hit all the icons. But then you got to find that story that`s going to hang in altogether.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: So does that mean bigger sharks? Anthony Ferrante hasn`t signed on to direct the sequels just yet, but he`s very eager to get the storms started. But will fans be just as excited second time around? ENews anchor Terrence J joins me right now from Hollywood. OK, so Terrence, are you going to pop some popcorn and get ready for this amazing journey to sci-fi fantasy land? Are you in?
TERRENCE J, ENEWS: Of course. We`re all super excited for more "Sharknado." It`s going to be crazy. Right now I have on my "Sharknado" underwear. I`m ready to watch this.
CURRY: Just get your goggles. The most amazing thing about "Sharknado," was the social media frenzy that it`s whipping up. "Sharknado" ravaged Twitter. Now the SyFy network is just going to let all those vocal Twitter followers help pick the sequel`s subtitle. So is the "Sharknado" director on board with that?
(CROSSTALK)
TERRENCE J: I think he`s on board. I can`t wait to see what people come up with. And the good thing is, they`re in on the joke. They know that people are laughing at this, and they are in on the joke. I love it. The bigger, the better.
CURRY: We`re all excited, and here`s what the director had to say about it. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think it`s great. It was a fan-based movie. The fans made the movie what it was. So I think by doing the Twitter thing, they`re engaging them even further. It`s sort of payback. Thank you for tweeting about our movie and now contribute to it. The fact that they announced it`s going to be in New York, I think that`s going to be cool too.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: All right, so quickly, will that kind of interaction do you think just magnify the fan`s frenzy over a "Sharknado" sequel, what do you think?
TERRENCE J: I think so. People want to be a part of this process, and people love to have that sort of involvement. When you look at things like Kickstarter and how people want to jump into projects. I think it`s just going to make this next movie even bigger and badder than the first one.
CURRY: I don`t know about you, but I want to play a flying shark in the next one. Terrence J.
(LAUGHTER)
TERRENCE J: I don`t know about that. Maybe some of my old teachers --
(CROSSTALK)
(LAUGHTER)
CURY: Come on, buddy, let`s fly! Thanks so much.
TERRENCE J: Thank you.
