`The Good Wife` v. Weiner`s Wife; SHOWBIZ Justice Shockers; Interview with Tay Allyn
Aired July 24, 2013 - 23:00 ET
THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.
NATASHA CURRY, HOST: Tonight on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "The Good Wife" versus Anthony Weiner`s wife.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HUMA ABEDIN, ANTHONY WEINER`S WIFE: I love him, I have forgiven him, I believe in him. And as we have said from the beginning, we are moving forward.
CHRIS NOTH, ACTOR: I want to be a great state`s attorney, and I can`t do it without you.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: The top three burning questions pitting TV drama with a very real political drama that is taking over TV. Which scandalous debate takes the top spot?
And can you say awkward? You`re on an airplane, and the stranger next to you suddenly falls asleep right in your lap, gets a little friendly. What do you do?
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT starts right now.
What`s up? I`m Natasha Curry in for A.J. Hammer, and tonight in the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "The Good Wife" versus Weiner`s wife. And let me tell you: The similarities between the hit TV show, "The Good Wife," and Anthony Weiner`s wife standing by him during his latest sexting scandal are truly remarkable.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ABEDIN: So, really what I want to say is, I love him. I have forgiven him. I believe in him. And as we have said from the beginning, we are moving forward.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: Moving forward, really? After Weiner revealed that he kept up his online sexual obsession with women even after resigning in disgrace from Congress for doing the very same thing.
Now in the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," we`re counting down the top three burning questions that everyone was arguing about today after Huma Abedin stood by her husband. Again, a lot of women really fired up about this, including Sirius XM Radio host jennyJennyJenny Hutt, who hosts "Just Jenny." Also with us, Raina Seitel and Marianne Garvey, who are co-starring now in "The City Girl Diaries" on the Style Network.
We`re all talking today about this very first episode of "The Good Wife," when Alicia Florrick, who`s played by Juliana Margulies, reacts to her husband`s sex-plosion. Chris Noth plays a state attorney, who confesses to his sex sins. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
NOTH: I need to atone for my personal failings with my wife, Alicia, and my children.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: That`s something that we didn`t see between Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner. But does it kick off the countdown? Yes, it does. Our No. 3 question: Should Huma have stood by her husband?
Jenny, what do you think?
JENNY HUTT, HOST, SIRIUS XM RADIO, "JUST JENNY": Here`s why I`m fired up. I`m fired up because so many people are judging Huma for standing by him, and frankly, we`re not married to the guy. So we don`t know what happens behind closed doors.
And by the way, maybe she did smack him. Maybe she punched him. I don`t know; we don`t know. What I know is it can`t be an easy set of circumstances to be in. I`m sure she`s thought about it a lot. She`s weighed her options and who knows what`s motivating her. And furthermore, who knows how she really feels about the whole thing? We just don`t know.
CURRY: Yes, you`re right. You don`t know what`s going on behind closed doors.
Raina, what about you? What are your feelings on this one?
RAINA SEITEL, CO-STAR, THE STYLE NETWORK`S "THE CITY GIRL DIARIES": Yes, I agree. I mean, I`m not here to judge her. We don`t know what`s going on. But she is the key to the campaign. If she said, "No, I`m out" and slapped him, he would be nowhere.
So it`s a business decision on her end, too. Because who knows if she wants to run for mayor or whatever political office she wants to run for. We know that she was Hillary`s, you know, personal right-hand woman, so, you know, I think this is definitely a business decision.
CURRY: You have to wonder if Hillary gave her some tips on talking to the media there. But it was painful to watch Huma stand by Weiner like that for so many people. But you`ve got -- and it`s probably going to go down as the most historic good wife speech ever. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ABEDIN: Our marriage, like many others, has had its ups and its downs. It took a lot of work and a whole lot of therapy.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: Now, even with their therapy, Marianne, should Huma stand by her man? Remember, the first time this all happened with Anthony Weiner, she was pregnant. She`s got a lot to forgive, maybe. What do you think?
MIRIAM GARVEY, THE STYLE NETWORK`S "THE CITY GIRL DIARIES": I think they do have a kid together. I`m saying she worked for Hillary for so long that she`s able to separate him running for mayor and their home life. And I think she really thinks that he cares about the city and can do a good job. So she`s backing him up.
CURRY: Yes. It`s a long road, but Juliana Margulies` character on "The Good Wife," she`s by her husband`s side as he returns to politics after a sex scandal that sent him to jail, for better or worse. They make a pretty good darn team here on the show. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This is the Illinois Democratic gubernatorial debate, and we`ll be right back.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She`s trying to bait you. Just stick with the plan and we`ll be OK.
NOTH: How am I doing?
JULIANA MARGULIES, ACTRESS: Mostly good.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That is all we need is mostly good.
NOTH: Tell me the truth.
MARGULIES: I don`t know strategy, but you need to call Eli.
NOTH: How much time do I have?
MARGULIES: Three minutes.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Peter? Peter?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I don`t think that`s not exactly true.
NOTH: It is true; 62.5 to be exact, added to the 30 percent of your employees recently furloughed.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What is he doing?
MARGULIES: He`s trying to win.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: That is what Anthony Weiner is trying to do with this race to become the next mayor of New York City, to win. But that brings us to our No. 2 question on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown." Just like on "The Good Wife," does Anthony Weiner need his wife to win? Jenny, your thoughts.
HUTT: Well, yes. I do think now that this is so public, I think if his wife comes out and says, "BTW, not only is he a crappy husband, he`s also a dope," then he`s not going to have such an easy time essentially winning this race. Yes, of course, he needs her support. Sure.
CURRY: And so why -- you`re kind of wondering, right, why is Huma taking on her real-life role as the, you know, good wife. She explains here in an essay that was just released online today for "Harper`s Bazaar" magazine.
She says here, "Quite simply, I love my husband. I love my city and I believe in what he wants to do for the people of New York. Launching the campaign was not an easy decision for our family to make. Putting yourself out there comes with a cost."
So Raina, is it worth the cost here? That`s the question.
SEITEL: You know, I don`t know. I mean, she could have sort of ducked into the sunset and had that baby and called it a day. But I think she probably, too, has her own political aspirations. But what I would say is I`m finding her speeches sort of emotionless. I would like to see some vigor, some anger. You know, "I wanted to punch his lights out. I really did. But I believe in what he`s doing, and we`re going to try and see this through. He has to be, though, on best behavior. And you know who wears the pants in the family, at this point. Right?"
CURRY: I found her pretty believable, actually. I`m always looking to see, are they telling the truth or not.
Marianne, what did you think?
GARVEY: I think he definitely needs her, only because not only emotionally to look like he has a good marriage, but she is the one who did all these fundraisers and raised all the money and got him back in the race and got him really in the public eye in a good way again. So, he definitely needs her, and she knows that he needs her. So like Raina said, I think she has her own aspirations down the line and realizes right now this is the best thing.
CURRY: Wouldn`t that be interesting? And would she every go up against him? I don`t know. There`s so many things we could talk about.
Here`s another amazing similarity to "The Good Wife." On the show, the husband, played by Chris Noth, has another sex scandal during his political return, jeopardizing the election and blindsiding his wife. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
NOTH: I have a target on my back and this is not true.
MARGULIES: Do you remember what you said the first time? It`s not true.
NOTH: And that`s exactly why they are throwing this crap at me, because my denials will look like lies. It`s politics.
MARGULIES: The problem is, Peter, I don`t give a damn.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: So that brings us to our No. 1 question on the countdown, should Weiner`s new sexting revelations even matter as he runs for mayor of New York? Jenny, what do you think?
HUTT: No. 1, I don`t want to see the pictures. All right? I`m not interested. Let`s start with that. Avert the gaze.
No. 2, I feel like, if this is about the two of them -- "The Good Wife" is a scripted TV show. This is real life. I think Huma has come out. She`s been -- to me, she`s been really honest about their marriage. Marriage is complicated. And who knows? Theirs is playing out in the public. It`s just the way it is.
CURRY: Take two, as far as we know here. And you`ve got to hear, too, what was not just told to "The New York Post" here. He says, "It will all be forgotten in a month." So Noth thinks that Weiner should get back to work politically. Raina, well, do you think it will heal all the wounds here?
SEITEL: Well, I think we, as Americans, forgive and forget extremely quickly. And I also think politicians must have a narcissistic sexual gene in their blood, because look at all we see, Spitzer, Clinton, McGreevey, I mean, it goes with the territory. I`m not shocked.
CURRY: Marianne.
GARVEY: I think that -- I mean, I don`t care personally what he does on his phone when he`s home, as long as he`s a great mayor in our city and really cares about the city. I could care less. Let Huma deal with him at home.
SEITEL: But please, no more pictures.
GARVEY: Yes, I don`t want to see the pictures.
CURRY: Again, I`ve got to wonder, Weiner is in the news again. Is this going to help his popularity and maybe even get him re-elected?
HUTT: I mean, look, sometimes people say that the more you know someone`s name, the more likely they`ll win an election. Because now everybody reads, and they just recognize the name; they go, "OK, him." So maybe.
But I don`t really think it`s going to go down that way. Oh, the puns.
But maybe.
CURRY: Yes. With him popping up in the news, you`ve got to wonder if it`s going to make more people vote for him. Because it makes you think, I could vote for this guy after his wife speaks out?
HUTT: I mean, look, I will determine who I vote for based on the issues and whether I think that he could or could not accomplish the job of being an effective mayor. Really, I feel like his personal life should be just that.
And in terms of he and his wife, they have to work it out. I don`t know even why -- Look, actually, I do know why we`re so involved with it. Because everyone likes a dirty, naughty story. It`s sexy and people are like, oh, my God, look at what he did. And then they think, thank God I didn`t. That kind of thing.
CURRY: Yes. That`s an interesting thought. Well, Jenny, Raina, Marianne, thank you.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Thank you.
CURRY: From "The Good Wife" to a good nap. Well, this isn`t what I had in mind, but this YouTube star is burning up the Internet. His flight interrupted by a napping stranger next to him. The very awkward moment caught on tape. So what would you do in this situation? You know, getting comfy-cozy with a stranger?
And a brand-new George Zimmerman shocker about the couple that he reportedly rescued from an SUV. The big reveal coming up.
This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
CURRY: Tonight, in "SHOWBIZ Quick Hits," a brand-new video of a woman and a man. It went crazy viral today. Complete strangers, sitting side-by- side on an airplane, but she`s all up in his face, falling asleep, all over him, totally awkward.
In "SHOWBIZ Quick Hits," we take on the day`s buzzy stories at lightning speed. Let`s kick it off with that wild new viral video of those two strangers on a plane with an unintentional and now unforgettable connection.
Jenny Hutt, host of Sirius XM Radio`s "Just Jenny" back with us.
Jenny, I want you to watch this with me, girl. Imagine being on this, you know, guy on a flight, you know, being a very tired passenger and in the next seat, you know, he said that he recorded this unbelievable video after trying desperately -- the look on his face -- to wake up this woman and get her to move over. But she`s just snuggling against him, getting friendly there.
He tried lifting her head, she is dead asleep. And nothing really works. Have you been that guy before? I mean, you can relate, right? I have been that woman before.
HUTT: I`ve been that girl.
CURRY: On her shoulder.
HUTT: I know. Here`s the thing. I can admit that occasionally I do take doctor-prescribed medication to fly. And by occasionally, I mean every time I fly. So frankly, that could have been me.
And I am not for public shaming when it`s something accidental like this. If she were nasty to him, sure shoot it and put it up on the Web. But this way just upsets me for her. I feel so bad for her. I want to look away and yet, I`m looking. That`s how I feel about it.
And now I kind of want someone to catch him doing something wrong, too.
CURRY: Yes. It`s just so awkward to watch. I woke up once on a guy`s shoulder and looked at him. And the was like, was it as good for you as it was for me? I was like, "Dude, I was snoring." Maybe even drooling on him.
Anyway, moving on now to our second "Quick Hit" tonight. It`s the controversial new video just released by Kanye West for his new single, "Black Skinhead." Let`s watch some of that first.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
(MUSIC)
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: It`s kind of different, a little jarring. But I kind of like it, Jenny. It`s animated and interactive, too. So fans can actually play around with it. What do you think? Genius or bizarre, 30 seconds?
HUTT: OK. Well, let me start with what do you mean, Kanye West has done something controversial? What? That`s crazy. Isn`t he the artist that says that he is the greatest rap artist of all time?
This is no surprise to me that he would make a video that would cause people to maybe raise their eyebrows a little, though, I can`t because I have Botox. And I like that it is controversial. I like that it`s animated. I like that we can control the speed. I think it`s kind of cool.
CURRY: Yes, all right. I kind of like it, too.
And our next -- and, by the way, I want to -- are those really his pecs? That was pretty nice.
Anyway, here`s the next one that everybody`s buzzing about today. A brand- new musical. It`s coming to Broadway.
HUTT: Oh, God.
CURRY: Buckle your seats, it`s magic, as in Magic Mike. Watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: That is right, Channing Tatum confirmed today that the hit movie that he starred in, "Magic Mike," is going to become a Broadway show. So Jenny...
HUTT: Yes.
CURRY: ... women and men just swooned over this movie, bit will the hotness translate onto the stage? Your take? Thirty seconds, go.
HUTT: OK. This is what I think. I think, get your "Kiss me I`m a bride" pin ready, because this is going to be bridesmaid central. That`s No. 1.
And No. 2, if your fiance buys the tickets for you, I`d back out of that marriage, because he doesn`t really like the ladies. See what I`m saying?
This is kind of -- this is kind of payback for all the women who have been objectified year after year. Now we can -- get to go and hoot and holler at him and be like, "Ooh, baby, take it off!"
That`s what I think about "Magic Mike."
CURRY: Jenny Hutt, thank you.
From Broadway to the next big YouTube star.
Text your friends right now, a star is born about mass texting. She is here to tell us what she has in mind.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JEANNE MOO, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Plenty of riders have recorded themselves being served at drive-throughs, but not this rider seen right here outside a McDonald`s in Manchester, England.
Yes or nay? The neighs definitely have this one in the bag. So today, the fast food frenzy over a horse who dumped a load right in the middle of McDonald`s. So what happened next?
This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
CURRY: By George, they`ve got it. It`s official: the new prince of Cambridge has a name. William and Kate just revealed today that they named their son, George Alexander Louis. Sounds so royal, right? And the parents are breaking some of the old traditions, doing things with a new modern twist. Well, modern for one of the longest monarchies in the world.
Here`s CNN`s John Berman for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
JOHN BERMAN, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): The world celebrates the new prince. the future king. The possible first British monarch of the 22nd century. The parents, William and Kate, hailed as young, fresh, modern.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Seems that these two do things their own way.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This is a very modern royal couple.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: They`re a very hip, modern couple, of course.
BERMAN: OK, maybe, but it`s safe to say there are modern families and then "Modern Families."
Young baby Cambridge`s entrance to the world might be ground-breaking by royal standards, but it`s not like he has two daddies or Sofia Vergara.
On the modern side?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered a son at 4:24 p.m. A break from tradition, sending word of the birth in an e-mail. Not so modern: They still posted the official announcement out on that gilded easel thing.
And then there was this guy.
Modern? No nannies.
Not so modern? Access to five castles.
Modern?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: When the baby was born, William rang the queen with a specially encrypted phone with the news.
BERMAN: Encrypted phones! Not so modern? That call was to tell his grandma that he did his duty and produced an heir.
Modern, those 41- and 62-gun salutes. Sure, it`s not Twitter, but at least they weren`t crossbows or slingshots. That`s fairly modernish.
Modern? The Duke of Cambridge will take two weeks paternity leave.
Not so modern, I just called him the Duke of Cambridge.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
CURRY: That was CNN`s John Berman for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
And get ready, for another must-see "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "SHOWBIZ Justice." The family George Zimmerman helped rescue from their flipped SUV, cancelling their press conference, but really, what happened here?

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues right now.
(MUSIC)
CURRY: And welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Natasha Curry in for A.J. Hammer, and right now, the SHOWBIZ Countdown. We`re counting down to today`s top three most shocking justice stories. Hitting it up with number three, Bynes in a bind.
Breaking news today that the parents of Amanda Bynes now plan to ask a judge to place her in a conservatorship, just like the one Britney Spears is under. Bynes is being held in a psychiatric facility tonight after she allegedly set a gas canister on fire on a stranger`s driveway. TMZ reports Bynes is showing signs of schizophrenia.
Jane Velez-Mitchell is with us tonight, host of the "Jane Velez-Mitchell Show", seen weekdays at 7 P.M. Eastern right here on HLN. So, Jane, thanks for being on the show. Amanda Bynes, her parents reportedly fear that she`s dangerous, that she can`t take care of herself right now. And Jane, at this point, is that even a question anymore?
JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, "JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL SHOW": No, it is not. What this young woman did, and I got to tell you, my heart goes out to here, because I think she is in serious, deep, deep psychological and emotional trouble. But going to some stranger`s house, and setting a fire on their front yard? That`s crazy behavior, and it`s dangerous behavior in one way. This it - her pants leg appeared that it was on fire. She could have set herself on fire. And take a look at her, and some of the things she`s put up on YouTube and on other social media. She is really, really crumbling, I don`t know whether it could be substance abuse. She claims she does not drink. But we knew she was accused of throwing a bong out a window, she has DUI in charge that she`s facing. I don`t know whether it`s substance abuse or mental illness or a combination of both. But this woman needs to be on lockdown. I`m glad that her parents are getting involved and now have the power to get control over her life.
CURRY: Yeah, and whatever is going on, we are also concerned for her. TV and radio host Michael Billy, now also joining us. But with all the whacky things that Bynes has done over the past year, do you have any doubt that she needs some serious help here?
MICHAEL BILLY, TV AND RADIO HOST: No, no doubt at all. I mean, unfortunately I`ve had my own problems with mental illness, having been hospitalized myself. So I can speak from my own experience. You feel like you have multiple personalities, you do take extreme measures to change your appearance. Change your appearance. I have myself. I have wandered randomly into the street when on substances and when sober. Mental disease or disorder can effect a person`s personality, cause them to do extreme things that are not necessarily normal in their behavior.
CURRY: Yeah.
BILLY: And in my situation, I was able to snap in and snap out. It was an odd experience, but through medication and behavioral therapy, it is something that can be remedied, from my experience alone, so, yes, please, someone take control and help this woman out. My heart just goes out to her.
CURRY: We hope that she does not hurt herself in any way at all. I mean it gets even more disturbing. TMZ reported today that when Bynes torched that gas can, she accidentally doused her, you know, cute little dog with gasoline? What? Here is a picture of Amanda and her cute Pomeranian a couple of few weeks ago in New York. Fortunately the dog is just fine now. Reportedly with her parents, but, Jane, I`m sure that must be a relief to you that this dog is away from Amanda right now? Well, you know, she`s putting a dog in danger.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: As an animal advocate, I always worry about animals who are in the care of somebody who has a serious problem. And to me, of all the things that I have heard, that tell me she is a danger potentially to herself and to others, how do you accidently douse a dog with gasoline? I don`t know. I don`t know about that. That really worries me. That really concerns me. So, I really think I`m glad the dog is in safe hands. I believe with her parents. And I hope she is in safe hands in the hospital on lockdown, and that her parents get a conservatorship over her and they help her get her life back in order. This woman needs structure, and she needs parental input, and I`m glad she is going to get it.
(CROSSTALK)
CURRY: Yeah, we hope Amanda gets the help she needs. And turns out OK.
Let`s move on now to our number two justice shocker on the SHOWBIZ countdown. The family that George Zimmerman helped bail out of an overturned SUV bailed on him today, they were scheduled to appear today at a news conference in the office of Zimmerman`s attorney. Presumably to praise George for what he did. But then just hours before, they abruptly backed out saying that they were nervous about being in the spotlight. Jane, you cannot blame them for not wanting to become a part of this, can you?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Oh, my gosh, I was down there, in Sanford, Florida, covering this trial. The emotions running so high, and this is just a sideshow. He helped them in some way, purportedly, allegedly, and they were going to talk about it. But they would put themselves in a vortex, and there are people who are so angry about the fact that he is acquitted, they could possibly want to take their anger out on them, or feel that they are trying to help George Zimmerman. I think they made a smart move to just stay out of it.
CURRY: And Jane, Zimmerman`s attorney, Mark O`Mara, who planned that aborted news conference, has not been shy either about using Zimmerman`s good deed to help his client`s PR. Watch what he said to CNN`s Chris Cuomo on "PIERS MORGAN LIVE." Look.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MARK O`MARA, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: This is quintessential George, this is the person who I knew him to be when I found out about his past before February 12t. Just the guy who is always involved in the community. Always lending a helping hand, and here we go, four days after the event, something that I could not have planned, but turned out to be just pure George.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: You have to imagine, Mark O`Mara there, he can`t be thrilled about what happened today, Michael. Quickly, are you smelling a PR plan gone bust?
BILLY: Oh, absolutely. Anything they can do to make Zimmerman in post this look fantastic and look like a human being. But you cannot applaud somebody for doing something that anybody hopefully would do. You can`t applaud them for being human.
CURRY: And now the big reveal of our number one SHOWBIZ justice shocker breaking today. The big murder trial that wasn`t. CNN affiliate WSBTV reported today prosecutors will drop murder charges against Andrea Sneiderman on Friday, just three days before her trial begins. We have reached out to attorneys on both sides, but there`s a gag order in place. Sneiderman is accused of convincing her former boss and alleged lover to kill her husband in 2010. That former boss, Hemi Neuman, has already been convicted of killing her husband. But complicating matters here, he is mentally ill, and Sneiderman denies claims of an affair or having anything to do with the murder.
I want to bring in defense attorney Darren Kavinoky. He is also the host of "Investigations, Discoveries, Deadly Sins." Darren, are you shocked that these murder charges could be dropped?
DARREN KAVINOKY, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Yeah, I think shocked is a dramatic understatement, Natasha, that here we are, just days before jury selection is set to begin. In a case where the original killing happened back in November of 2010. A case where there are three different grand jury indictments that implicate Andrea Sneiderman in this murder, and now here we are with the possibility of these most serious charges being dropped. It is amazing, it`s like something out of a Grisham novel. Although I will point out, she still does face very serious charges involving perjury and furnishing false information to police officers, still looking at the possibility of literally decades in prison.
CURRY: And, Jane, what about you, are you surprised by this shocking development?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: I think the timing is certainly bizarre, as we are just really on the verge of jury selection. Something had to have happened. Or maybe they really analyzed the case, and said, look, we could get her for many decades on these lesser charges. She is facing 13 lesser charges. And the other thing is really a roll of the dice. You have got the guy who was convicted, found guilty, but mentally ill saying, no, no, no, she did not tell me to do it. So I mean, gosh, that is a big hurdle when the guy who was convicted says no, I did not do it because she told me to, I did it because I`m crazy.
CURRY: And needless to say, prosecutors have a hard time pinning down the exact nature of Sneiderman`s relationship with her ex-boss. Darren, could that have anything to do with dropping these murder charges?
KAVINOKY: Well, look, she has denied the affair ever since the beginning. But there`s plenty of good evidence for jurors to conclude that she is not exactly forthcoming. And that she and Hemy did in fact have an amorous relationship. But the one thing, the one piece that I had never been able to get over is that she told two witnesses that she was on her way to see her husband in the hospital because he had been shot at a time that was at least an hour before the doctors told her, her husband had been shot. So, how is it that she would have this information if she did not know?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Can you hang an entire case on that one fact? I mean, let`s face it.
KAVINOKY: But there`s more, it`s a jury question.
(CROSSTALK)
CURRY: I think you both want to see this go to trial.
BILLY: If there`s one thing we cannot be surprised about is it`s a decision made by a court this year. Can we all agree by that?
CURRY: At least you are passionate about it. Michael, Jane and Darren, thank you so much.
From snapping (ph) to blow it up (ph), meet the newest biggest viral video star on the planet tonight.
(MUSIC)
CURRY: Tay Allyn`s music video, "Mass Text," is getting mass hits on Youtube. We`re talking nearly a million in less than a week. So why is there a social media hate fest over her brand new hit? Tay is here tonight to take on all her haters.
Plus, flipping out for dolphins. A woman who just turned the tables and decided, hey, it`s time that humans start flipping for dolphins. So did she just make that little guy smile there? We`re switching it up the natural order of things in tonight`s moment of SHOWBIZ awesomeness.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hey, we have been talking for a while and I thought we were cool. Did I do something, why didn`t I get your mass text? I`m in your contacts, why didn`t I get your mass text? I`m in your contacts.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: Yeah, why didn`t she get your mass text, dude? That is 24-year-old Tay Allyn`s viral video for her new song, "Mass Text." Tay is right here for you all to tell you about her big transformation. So why didn`t she get his mass text? She`s in his contacts, after all. Imagine living your teenage years pretty much without anyone to call a true friend, and suddenly becoming a viral sensation because of your song and video about texting. That is exactly what happened here to 24-year-old Tay Allyn. She joins us now from Hollywood. Tay, congrats on your video. The premise here is about a girl who gets left out of mass text from a boy she likes. So is this case of art imitating life? And did it happen to you?
TAY ALLYN, SINGER: Oh, my gosh, I mean, completely. I, like many people, grew up unfortunate looking. I wore an eye patch for seven years. I was very overweight for most of my life. And forget about mass texts, I was never getting any texts.
CURRY: Oh.
ALLYN: You know, but we have been through it, and it`s exciting now to see everything that is happening. Um, but what I love about this song is it rings true to life. Sometimes you are not included in a mass text.
CURRY: Girl, I was left out so much, I cannot even tell you. Yeah, we definitely relate to this. And you also went to the masses. It makes you stronger and more empathetic, right? You really launched a campaign to raise money for your music video on Kickstart. Brilliant move there. Let`s watch some of that, quickly.
(MUSIC)
CURRY: It`s hard to kind of watch you bummed out in this video. Even though your video has had nearly 800,000 views, more than 20,000 people have hit the dislike button on it. Does that bug you?
ALLYN: Well, you know, I can`t attest to that, but it`s getting a reaction, and I think that is exciting. I feel like this song represents the zeitgeist of our times. It shows this demographic and what we are going through in our mundane, everyday lives. And when I was looking at the pop music scene, a lot of things out there are about riding in a car with P Diddy or something very avant-garde and out of this world, but I`m just a normal 24-year-old girl from a small town in Texas, and a guy not sending me a text or being left out of the party invite is a huge deal to me. As is I think for most of the young people in America.
CURRY: Well, girl, look at you now, you are on national TV, and we really love your positive attitude about everything. I know in high school you said you were not the most popular girl, and as I said, I can relate to that, kids, you know, but they called you Trailer Taylor? That is rude. I want to show you a photo here.
ALLYN: They did.
CURRY: Yeah, you gave us permission to show this photo from your high school days. What a transformation. Tay, what happened here and did that effect how you make music and everything?
ALLYN: I mean, I`m lucky to have a very supportive family, but sometimes when you are growing up, it can be so awkward in those early years. There`s only so much you can do. And I just want to tell those girls out there who are going through that rough time, girls and guys who feel awkward or left out, you can take positive change. I ended up being the commencement speaker for my class at USC, and now I have a video that has gone viral. And it`s amazing. I`m just so excited to get this opportunity to be a voice for this. Because you can be strong. (INAUDIBLE) inner strength.
CURRY: You`re bringing tears to my eyes. We are all on team Tay, that`s for sure. And I want to bring in two ladies who know a thing or two about becoming famous. Raina Seitel and Marianne Garvey. They are now starring on Style Network`s new show, "City Girl Diaries."
So, Raina, what is your advice to Tay about extending her 15 minutes of fame here, because she has got something going on?
RAINA SEITEL, CITY GIRL DIARIES: First of all, she is adorable, so I say, date Justin Bieber or George Clooney, and you are golden. No, but in all seriousness, you respond to the people who are tweeting at you and on Youtube, all of the followers and the people who do not even like your stuff, respond, tell your story. You have an amazing story to tell. You are completely likeable. We can relate to that high school thing--
(CROSSTALK)
MARIANNE GARVEY, CITY GIRL DIARIES: People still do not text us back. It`s crazy. But no, your transformation has been incredible. We are older than you and you still inspire women like us, like New York City, we go through people not texting us back all the time. My advice, which is like, do not turn into Amanda Bynes, no wigs and lighting driveways on fire. I say just keep up your craft and you will be on Broadway in no time, or like on "Glee" or something. You are so talented.
CURRY: Tay, tell those haters to eat your dust.
Tay Allyn, Raina, Marianne, guys, thanks so much.
And I want to show you another viral video that is galloping across Youtube tonight. Did you see this?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Plenty of horse riders have recorded themselves being served at drive-thrus. But not this rider, seen here outside of McDonald`s in Manchester, England.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CURRY: That woman just will not get off her high horse. Next, why this wacky McDonald`s customer thinks that she has the right to trot through the drive-thru. We are revealing the entire bizarre horse tale next.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
CURRY: Did you see this? Check out this horse and pony show at a McDonald`s drive-thru, and the package that the pony left for customers in the restaurant. Horse-powered cars are one thing, but when actual horses try to ride through a McDonald`s drive-thru?
Well, CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can explain what happened here.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
MOOS: The Golden Arches may be shaped like horse shoes.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Got to get my horsey a Big Mac.
MOOS: It does not take a talking horse like Mr. Ed to give the order at the drive thru.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Can I get three double cheeseburgers?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Next.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`ll have a Sprite and hash browns.
MOOS: Plenty of horse riders have recorded themselves being served at drive-thrus. Not this rider, seen outside a McDonald`s in Manchester, England. Staff at the drive-thru refused to serve mother and daughter on horseback and told them to dismount and come inside instead.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Thank you.
MOOS: The mom says she took them literally and sent her daughter inside with her pony. But once inside, the pony decided to do her business, and the McDonald`s staff decided to call police. On Facebook, Manchester police wrote that the sight and smell of this caused obvious distress and upset to customers trying to eat. The horse owner was fined about $92. Even though the pony is apparently a fan of McDonald`s.
Hi there, could I please just have a McFlurry?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: A what?
MOOS: A McFlurry.
The horse owner told the Manchester Evening News that Mini (ph) the pony likes McFlurries.
Now, we have seen a flurry of Youtube videos of horses going through drive- thrus. Some get served. Like this guy. Even though he seemed to be drunk.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Window 2.
MOOS: Others are refused service. When the pair in this horse-drawn carriage were refused at McDonald`s, they rode over to the KFC drive-thru next door.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK.
MOOS: Even pranksters wearing horsehead masks usually get served. Once employees get over the shock. But the Manchester McDonald`s says the health, safety of our customers and staff is our top priority. For this reason, we are unable to serve pedestrians, bicycle riders or customers on horseback through the drive-thru. You are probably worried about horses freaking out like this one did after being served in a Dunkin` Donuts. Horse started doing doughnuts, and though policy seemed to vary, critics say, it`s called a drive-thru, not a ride-thru.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
