Plus, the Secrets of TV Crime Shows. We`re revealing how the ripped-from- the-headline shows stay so real. The star detectives of the mega-hit crime show "Castle" right here tonight. And I am giving them a third-degree interrogation.

Tonight, we`re counting down today`s top three must-see "SHOWBIZ Newsmakers." Let`s get right to it.
At No. 3, it is this guy, Kirk Fox. Now, Kirk is the host of TV`s "The Test," who just put Lindsay Lohan`s mom, Dina, to "The Test" when she appeared on his show with her ex, Michael. You`ve got to watch this.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are you on drugs?
DINA LOHAN, LINDSAY`S MOTHER: Absolutely not.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Would you like to take a test to prove you`re not?
D. LOHAN: I don`t need to prove it. I`m here for him to come clean and try to reestablish a relationship with her, and clearly he`s not ready to do that.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, he can -- Can you ask her again if she`ll take the test?
D. LOHAN: I never would have come here to begin with.

HAMMER: OK. Kirk, help me out. Let`s get right to this.
KIRK FOX, HOST, "THE TEST": OK.
HAMMER: She never would have come there to begin with. I mean, what was she expecting when she appeared on a show called "The Test." I don`t know, a test on geometry, algebra? What was going through her mind?
FOX: Listen, she came on that show -- I was under -- I was under the impression that she was going to take "The Test," and she decided not to.
But I will say this. Michael had no problem taking these tests. So he did what he was supposed to do. She did not.
HAMMER: That is not surprising to me at all.
And as we know, of course, Dina was just pinched for allegedly driving while intoxicated. Do we have the mug shot? Not my picture. There we go. Thank you very much. That`s good. I`m not Dina Lohan. Nice, Dina. Good luck for you.
Kirk, do you think she was trying to hide something from you when you asked her about the drug test?
FOX: Well, I`ll tell you, if you ask somebody if they`re on drugs, and you`re giving them a chance to prove that they`re not; listen, she was clearly hiding something, whether -- whether it was watching the show that made her go out and drink too much.
But bottom line is if you`re driving drunk you seriously have a problem. There`s many ways to avoid getting into a car if you`re drunk. So that`s the bottom line. She was hiding something, and now it`s out in the open. She has a drinking problem.
HAMMER: And it was wild to see this happen in light of everything -- while not surprising -- everything that`s gone on with the Lohans over the years.
We have a sad portrait of the Lohan family right here in front of you. You`ve Lindsay`s most recent mug shot there; her dad, Michael`s, of course; and now we have Dina`s to add to the mix. Kirk, were you surprised to hear that Dina was arrested for DUI so soon after you saw her on your show? Because we were talking about it last week and playing the clip of her on your show, and all of a sudden, this happened over the weekend.
FOX: Listen, I -- like I said, I`m surprised when I hear that anybody gets a DUI. You do not have to get in car if you`ve been drinking.
And that picture I just saw of the three of them, that -- I mean, that would make a great Christmas card. That`s for sure.
HAMMER: It is sad to see, and it`s unfortunately not surprising after all the years of the drama that we`ve seen play out with these guys.
But we had Dina refusing to take a drug test on your show, and as you mentioned, Michael did, and he was clean. He actually admitted that he just went to rehab. Let`s look at that.

MICHAEL LOHAN, LINDSAY`S FATHER: Did I complete a rehab? Yes. As a matter of fact, I just completed rehab for co-dependency. I completed six months of rehab for co-dependency.
D. LOHAN: How much rehabs were you in?
M. LOHAN: Four. And Dina, you know what? At least I went. You need rehab bad.
D. LOHAN: Thanks, Michael. I`ll take your advice.

HAMMER: Well, who knows if that will happen? But Kirk, do you think, as it appeared, that Michael was trying to send some kind of a message to Dina, as in, you know, you need to do the same thing here?
FOX: Well, listen, you can say what you want about Michael Lohan, but clearly he`s passionate about what he has to say. He did take "The Test."
And whatever he was saying to Dina, clearly, he was on the right track, because she got a DUI. So -- so maybe he`s dead on, and he just might have -- he might have some anger issues.
I was in the middle of both of them, and I was a little frightened, but he might have to work on how he tries to get his point across. But other than that, he seemed to be on the right track. She did not take "The Test." Michael did.
HAMMER: Well, it was interesting, Kirk, seeing them on your show, in that forum, but I`m actually hoping now we don`t hear from them for a long time to come.

HAMMER: All right. We move now from one relentless drama to other as we go to No. 2 in our "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of today`s top three must-see "News Makers."
It`s the Oprah singer starring as Anna Nicole Smith. Yes, that`s right. Anna Nicole Smith, the opera.
Of course, Anna Nicole died tragically from a drug overdose. That was back in 2007. She was just 39 years old. And you probably remember it was just a few months earlier when her only son died. And she was at the same time fighting the family of her late billionaire husband for his fortune.
So much tragedy in such a short amount of time. It`s almost as if Anna Nicole was an opera in making.
Sarah Joy Miller is about to portray her in "Anna Nicole, The Opera," which is making its U.S. debut tomorrow night in Brooklyn.
It`s great to have you here. And I want to immediately take a look at you playing Anna Nicole, side by side with the real Anna Nicole. So many tragic moments in Anna`s life. But a full-blown opera. Help me understand how this all works? I`ve been trying to figure this out.
SARAH JOY MILLER, OPERA SINGER: Well, it`s actually an interesting piece, because we start from her early years, and then we -- you know, we obviously move into the parts that we`re all more familiar with that we`ve seen: the tragedy and the more crazy, larger-than-life moments.
But I think it`s a really unique piece, because we really get to see her early life and her family and what that must have all been like for her.
HAMMER: It must be wild for you to portray those crazy moments. Because that is, of course, what we were always aware of. She surrounded herself with all these bizarre people. She did some really strange things. One thing I remember is when she had her face painted by a little girl. It was about six months before she died. That was caught on video. And we see Anna on that video apparently not even realizing she`s pregnant with her daughter, Dannielynn, at the time. Let`s look at that.

HAMMER: So strange to see. Nothing to make light of. Obviously, she wasn`t of sound mind in that video. But Sarah, as you studied her life to prepare for this, I have to imagine you felt sorry for her?
MILLER: Certainly. I think anyone should be able to feel compassion for her, and certainly, there were choices that she made that could have been better. But I immediately had a lot of compassion for her and her desire for a big life and her desire to be loved was -- it was the focal point of who she was.
And unfortunately, you know, it ended so badly and, you know, all of the drugs, and that really led to her demise. But absolutely, I feel so much compassion for her life.
HAMMER: Really one of the ultimate tragic dramas that we`ve ever seen play out. And now we`re going to see it play out in opera. Great to have you here, Sarah. Appreciate you joining us.
"Anna Nicole, The Opera," opens tomorrow night at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Jason Henderson`s [SIC] wild and rambling conversation with his wife, Candice, has now been seen more than 11 million times on his YouTube channel since it was first posted. When I spoke to them, I had to ask them why they decided to post this video and if they were possibly expecting such a big reaction. You`ve got to see what they told me.

C. MORTENSEN: We just wanted to share it with everyone because we thought it was so funny that others might enjoy it.
HAMMER: Well, you were right. I mean, look at you guys. You`re not only YouTube sensations but big TV stars, too. Let`s take a look at Jason seeing you for the very first time.

HAMMER: All right, Jason. We`re going to excuse the profanity, because you were all doped up, after all, but how much of that do you actually remember?
J. MORTENSEN: Well, I don`t remember any of it. The first recollection I had was when the nurse was taking us to the car, and she said, "You`re a great singer."
And I looked at my wife, and I said, "What is she talking about?" So...
HAMMER: I`ve actually had that experience. I was once told after I came out of anesthesia I was saying some pretty wild things which, for some reason, they didn`t want to repeat to me. Maybe a little uncomfortable.
But how did you feel about the world getting to see you like that? Obviously, it was your choice to put the tape out there.
J. MORTENSEN: You know, it was totally unexpected. We put it up there for family and friends. I was really hesitant to even put it online, because I swore. And we did, and when 2,000 people saw it we said, "We don`t know that many people, so who`s watching this?" And it hit 10,000 and now it`s in millions. And it`s been unbelievable.
HAMMER: It`s crazy. The world of YouTube.
Now Candice, I have to point this out, because he was being so flirtatious with you, and he didn`t know it was you. He didn`t know you were his wife. I mean, honestly, did it raise any red flags there for you? He`s just thinking he`s hitting on a nurse. Come on.
C. MORTENSEN: I loved it. I thought it was hilarious. Glad to know he still thinks I`m beautiful even when he doesn`t remember who I am.
HAMMER: All right. So you weren`t worried that he was hitting on some random person? That didn`t trouble you?
J. MORTENSEN: No. We don`t think about that part.
HAMMER: OK, good. That`s probably best.

HAMMER: Now Candice, I have a little suggestion, and maybe you`ve already thought of this. But if there ever comes a time in your relationship where, say, he`s acting like less than a gentleman or not being kind to you, you just -- you keep this thing on your phone and you whip it out and say, "Hey, remember that guy? That`s the guy I married. That`s the guy I want to be with."
C. MORTENSEN: Yes. Good reminder.

HAMMER: The rewind is -- That`s -- right there you have Floyd Mayweather`s hype man, Lil Wayne, and Justin Bieber. Now, this is not the first time Bieber strutted it up to the ring with Mayweather. What is the deal with this? It`s all very confusing to me.
Tonight on "SHOWBIZ Sports Extra," Floyd Mayweather`s bromance with Justin Bieber has really created nearly as much buzz today as his big win over Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on Saturday night. He remains the undefeated junior middleweight champ.
Mayweather and Bieber seems like a crazy, odd pairing, right? But are they one of the smartest matchups in mega-star history? Think about it. Let me take this to Gabe Zaldivar in Hollywood. Gabe is a pop culture writer with BleacherReport.com.
Gabe, you got the Biebs here with the boxing champ. It seems like the bizarro world, but do you get it? Can you explain it?
GABE ZALDIVAR, POP CULTURE WRITER, BLEACHERREPORT.COM: It`s a genius move. It`s mutually beneficial to either party. We deal in the currency of publicity and social media. And both these guys get it.
And first off you can`t look any tougher by having Bieber behind you. He could have done better having Papa Smurf behind him. But other than that, you have everyone, all the trolls on the Internet, that loathe Bieber and are willing to spout that off, and they hate Mayweather. But he knows for a fact that boxing is all about publicity at this point. And you want people to buy your pay-per-view buys. They either love you or they really want to see you fail, and it just so happens that you need to be polarizing. He could have done better to have Skip Bayless and Miley Cyrus coming on a wrecking ball. But it was easier to have Bieber come in with him.
HAMMER: Yes. And you know, we know about Mayweather that he certainly has a pretty healthy ego, and people say the same thing about Biebs. So I understand it from that vantage point. That seems to make sense.
ZALDIVAR: Completely. They both have tremendous egos, but it pays off. Because you have people that will tweet about them in social media circles and they`ll say that they hate them for days, but that works. You have people buying your pay-per-view buys or buying your albums. You have a small set of people, no matter who you are, that are going to love you.
But in this day and age of Twitter and Facebook, of all that, if people hate you, they`re willing to go out of their way to say that.
HAMMER: Yes.
ZALDIVAR: And to see you fail. So with Mayweather it`s all about pay-per- view buys. He doesn`t care if you like him.
HAMMER: Yes. And listen, anybody not blown away by the Bieber in the ring may be by Mayweather`s big payday. This might knock you off your feet. There are new reports today suggesting he could make as much as 100 million bucks from the fight after the pay-per-view sales are in. That`s more than double the 41.5 million bucks he was guaranteed.
But Gabe, please tell me, is anyone really worth $100 million to bet up another guy?
ZALDIVAR: If there`s anybody it would be Mayweather. He`s the biggest show in that sport. It would be tantamount to just Tebow if there was nobody else in the NFL or Alex Rodriguez if there was nobody else in baseball, just that one character. Mayweather is basically it. He`s the one-man show.
And there are reports that he could be making up to 100 million. It probably will be closer to 41.5, as guaranteed, which is a record anyway. It`s all superfluous -- go ahead.
HAMMER: No. I`ve got to interrupt there. But it`s just crazy to me. And he remains undefeated. And now with Bieber in his corner, the sky is the limit.

And tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is making big Miley Cyrus news with the mother of the superstar right in the middle of Miley`s big VMA twerk fest. Now, we know a lot of people had an awful lot to say about Miley and Robin Thicke`s racy performance, but listen to this. Today the Federal Communications Commission revealed that tons of viewers actually wrote in to them to complain about the performance on MTV. Wait until you hear some of these complaints. There was another well known critic of Miley`s performance, Robin Thicke`s mother, the legendary actress and singer Gloria Loring. There she is, right now from Hollywood for our SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview. Gloria, by the way, also the author of the new book, "Coincidence is God`s Way of Remaining Anonymous." Put Gloria back on the screen. Look at you. You look fantastic. It`s so great to have you here.
GLORIA LORING, ACTRESS: Thank you. It`s my pleasure. Oh, my gosh, when they said, you know, we want to talk about Miley Cyrus, I wanted to say, oh, honey, that was so three weeks ago, but evidently not.
HAMMER: Yes, no, I mean, and what she did, along with the title of your book, no coincidence at the VMAs at all, because as you well know as a performer, it was meticulously planned, but today it was fascinating to see the Smoking Gun website reported on some of the FCC complaints. A lot of them of course mention your son, Robin. One person actually wrote this. "Miley touched the genitals of an older man while performing music." Another said she was quote, "acting like a devil, flicking that tongue as demons do," and that she "implied sexual acts with bears."
Listen, Gloria, I get that people get fired up and they write letters, but here is our first burning question to you tonight. Was what Miley did really so outrageous that the government needs to get involved? Or is that just nuts to you?
LORING: First of all, she`s a beautiful and talented young woman. She`s not doing much that hasn`t been done before. Madonna. Lady Gaga is out there sitting in the audience with a g-string and clam shells. We`re seeing it. It just depends on where you are. If you go to a lot of violent movies, a super violent movie is going to be like, well, that`s really exciting. But if you don`t normally see that stuff, you, as I hadn`t seen that incarnation of her, I was like, what is she doing? I don`t understand what she`s doing.
HAMMER: Gloria, I got to ask you, and keep the camera on her, please, Charles, would you please reenact the face you made the first time you saw her dancing on stage with your son?
LORING: OK, see, first of all, let me say I really liked my son`s video. I thought it was funny. I know his sense of humor. He loves to be a little naughty. His wife approved it. It was a female director who came up with a lot of that stuff. He bought into it. Of course. And they said let`s be outrageous, let`s really have some fun with this.
But all the girls in the video were sort of like whatever, just prancing by, and the guys were going, hey, aren`t I cool, don`t you want it? And the girls are going uhh. So when my son came out, I was like I`m going to get Robin stand and deliver his performance, and now Miley is taking over his song visually. And I thought as a performer, if I am performing with Tony Bennett, I don`t try to upstage Tony Bennett.
HAMMER: Her latest hit where she`s basically naked, "Wrecking Ball," is doing so well. Let`s look at that.
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: That video set a record. More than 44 million views online in just 24 hours. And we learned today, Gloria, that "Wrecking Ball" will hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It`s the first time she`s ever topped that national chart. So here is our second burning question to you tonight. Is it Miley Cyrus who is getting the last laugh or Myrus (ph) as I call her?
LORING: You know what, maybe people who want to have a No. 1 hit just need to make a great song and a great record, sing it well, and get naked. I don`t know. Maybe that`s the truth. Maybe there is -- the more outrageous you are in this market, the better. There`s so much content. You got to get noticed, right?
HAMMER: It`s a formula that`s certainly worked for a long time. And look, Miley may be on top of the world with her album right now, and at least sales and things of that nature, but SHOWBIZ TONIGHT did learn today that she is now -- and there have been rumors about this -- but now we know, she has called off her engagement to Liam Hemsworth. And when I heard the news, I never want to see a couple break up, but also I think, should we be surprised? She was 19 when she got engaged. One superstar engaged to another, it`s really, really tough. Does it seem to you, from what you may know or just the idea of these two young superstars, that it was kind of doomed from the start?
LORING: You know what, I think the obstacles to two highly busy, highly successful people, having enough time to build their relationship, especially when they`re so young, and there`s so much in front of both of them, I think it`s -- I don`t know if they particularly were doomed from the start, but I think the obstacles are enormous. I know, you know, when I was with Alan Thicke, we were both starting our careers and we had time to establish ourselves, and so we had time to be a family. We weren`t traveling. But if you`re traveling and you are all over the place and touring, it`s almost impossible.
HAMMER: I want to get back to Miley a second, Gloria, because we learned today that Miley`s album reportedly includes a collaboration with Britney Spears, who kicked off her own controversy today with the release of her new song with the very in-your-face title. It`s called "Work, Bitch." Listen to a bit of this.

HAMMER: It`s an old expression, but Gloria, here is our third burning question to you tonight, is Britney going too far naming a song "Work, Bitch"?
LORING: You know, in the current market, I don`t know. I think that`s up to her PR people, and if it succeeds, there`s no bad PR as long as they spell your name right. That`s one of the forbidden words in my household. That goes along with a number of other words that just you do not say. It`s not a song I want to know much about. So -- but you know, that`s the market. We`re inside people`s bedrooms, we`re inside people`s bathrooms now. It`s TMI, too much information as far as I am concerned.
HAMMER: Let me make sure everybody has proper context. We`re talking to you and getting your take on music because your son Robin obviously not the only musical force in your family. You had such a terrific No. 1 hit back in 1986, the duet you did with the late Carl Anderson, "Friends and Lovers." I played it on the radio back then, believe it or not.
LORING: Did you?
HAMMER: Oh, I did. You co-wrote two of the most singable TV theme songs ever, the theme to "Different Strokes" and "Facts of Life." You once sang at the Academy Awards. As far as I remember, there was no twerking or having songs with the word bitch involved. Here is our fourth burning question that only you can answer. What advice might you have for Britney and Miley, who do use shock to sell their music, even if it may be what the market demands today? There`s got to be another way, right?
LORING: That`s not for me to say. It is not what I would do. If somebody would say to me, why didn`t you stop your son? I said, oh darn, you know, all those pop artists, they just don`t come to me to ask how they should express themselves. I`m just not in charge of that.
I would just say maybe, but they`re not going to pay any attention to be me any way. Remember someday you`ll have children. Madonna recently said that if I had thought ahead and thought I`m someday going to have children and I`m doing this now -- but you know what, anybody out there who has never engaged in excess, step up and let`s talk about Miley and Britney. OK? I`ve engaged in excess in my life, and I`m sure glad there were no TMZs around at the time.
HAMMER: You`ll have to share those stories with us another time, Gloria, but it`s great having you here.
LORING: Oh, no.

I`m also demanding answers about this story. Bieber as Batman sidekick? Justin Bieber`s Instagram does suggest that he`s about to play Robin, alongside Ben Affleck in the Superman sequel. HAMMER: That`s the SHOWBIZ first look at the new season of the ABC hit show, "Castle." We know that Rick Castle`s crime writing secrets often help the cops crack their cases, but what are the secrets behind the crime show? Tonight we`re going to find out because SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is kicking off a week-long special event, "Secrets of TV Crime Shows." And we begin with the great show, "Castle," starts its next season next Monday on ABC. Two of the stars of the show are right here with us from Hollywood tonight. So good to have Seamus Dever and Jon Huertas. You know them better of course as Detectives Kevin Ryan and Javier Esposito. Great to have you guys here.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Thanks, A.J.

HAMMER: So we see you guys every week playing these New York City cops. And here is the first secret I need for you to reveal tonight. How closely do you guys actually work with the NYPD to make sure you actually get things right?
JON HUERTAS, "CASTLE": Well, since we`re in L.A., it`s really hard to work real closely with the NYPD.
SEAMUS DEVER, "CASTLE": It`s a very distant relationship. It`s almost like we`re pen pals with the NYPD.
HUERTAS: Yes. But we`ve -- first, the pilot episode we got to ride along with some homicide detectives from the NYPD, which was great, gave us great insight. But now we use kind of cops that are local, and homicide procedures I think across the board in most agencies are kind of very similar, and we stick to the procedures as much as we can.
DEVER: And we actually got to work with --if you guy the "Castle" season 5 DVD, which is in stores now, it has a lovely special feature where Jon and I got to train with some actual LAPD and L.A. County sheriffs officers. And had a lot of fun with them, so you`ll get to see some of that.
HUERTAS: We work with some technical advisers and stuff like that.
HAMMER: Cool. And a great plug that you were able to get in there, Seamus, I appreciate that.
DEVER: Got it in there. I think my network is going to be happy about that.
HAMMER: Of course, would you have situations where there are sometimes real-life dramas that actually can put TV crime dramas on hold. "Castle" did have that episode with a bomb related plot, and it was set to air the same week as the awful Boston bombings happened. Understandably, the show was pulled and aired at a later date. But here is the next secret we want to know. I`m dying to understand, what happened behind the scenes before that episode was pulled, Seamus?
DEVER: We actually filmed that. Because we filmed -- I think at that time we had done -- the episode had been wrapped for about two months. It was just bad timing, dumb luck, whatever it is, that these terrible events happened, and I think to -- it had some sensitivity towards the current climate in the country, I think they decided to pull it and give it some time before we actually aired that.
HAMMER: Makes a lot of sense. When that happens, what are you going to do. "Castle" of course has taken on everything from some very real crimes to some pretty bizarre ones. One of my favorite episodes was about a woman found dead at a sci-fi convention. You remember that? The overzealous witnesses had no interest in breaking character or breaking out of their costumes. Let`s revisit that.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Last time I saw Anabel (ph), she was alone on the bridge, and may fortune guide her journey, but show must go on. When do you think we can get this back up and running? Soon-ish?

HAMMER: See, the reason it was so great is because it would totally happen. Some other storylines that we`ve seen on "Castle," a body drowned in a bathtub of motor oil, we had that woman who was covered in caramel sauce, found dead at a playground. Two women once found dead dressed as fairy tale characters.
So, Jon, have you secretly said or perhaps said it out loud during a table read or something, this plot is just way too bizarre, should we really do it?
HUERTAS: Those were all ripped from the headlines.

HUERTAS: Every once in a while, you read a script and go how are we going to make this feel real? But it`s -- as long as you stay grounded and you really -- I`ve seen some pretty remarkable cases. A lot of times, actually I go on the blog sites and look under weird news, and you see some of these crazy headlines that are very similar to the ones we do. I suspend my belief enough to make it as real as possible.
HAMMER: And the truth is, we keep watching it and you keep brings us in. You keep bringing us in, guys. Great to get these secrets of the show from you. We really appreciate it. Best of luck with the new season. Seamus and Jon, I appreciate you being here.

HAMMER: The Biebs. There he goes, Justin Bieber, in his big acting debut. That was on the hit crime series "CSI" back in 2010. Now is the Biebs actually getting ready to play Robin? Opposite Ben Affleck`s Batman? What? Time for our SHOWBIZ hot flashes now. That is where we take on the day`s hottest stories, and first up, holy Bieber, Batman. Is Justin Bieber really all set to play Robin in the new Batman versus Superman film? He certainly did get the buzz going today by posting a picture of himself with what is supposedly the new Batman versus Superman script. And he added hashtag, Robin. Batman`s fans nearly revolted when it was first revealed that Ben Affleck would be next to wear the Bat suit. Can you imagine what they would say if the Biebs really would be playing Robin? Let me bring in entertainment reporter Andrea Bain, and Andrea, I am thinking if this is true and Bieber is becoming a caped crusader, wow. Ka-pow! Could it actually be Affleck and Bieber, side by side fighting crime and saving Gotham City? It`s crazy, isn`t it?
ANDREA BAIN, JOURNALIST: That`s an understatement. I think there`s no way we`re ever going to see those two men share the screen, especially not in the Batman sequel, and I think all the Batman fans were clutching their pearls and ready to light their Batman comics on fire at the thought of Bieber playing Robin. There was no way they were going to sit down -- I think this is the first time there`s been a Bieber story where the Bieber, the Beliebers were really outnumbered and outvoiced by the Batman fans, who were like, we don`t like it, get rid of it, this can`t happen.
HAMMER: That is pretty unusual. I actually still like Affleck for the Batman role. The Bieber, I`m not so sure about that, but let me get to our next hot flash. We`ve got to talk about Paula Deen, who is taking on Texas. She was really emotional when she just appeared at a cooking show in Houston. Now, this was her first public appearance since that major racial scandal rocked her cooking empire back in June. Watch this.

HAMMER: OK. So she`s back. A lot of people paid up to 400 bucks to be there. Is it too soon or is the timing right, you think?
BAIN: A lot of us thought she was going to go away, take a nice little hiatus and maybe come back in the spring of next year, let this all, let the dust settle on this whole story. But she decided to do the opposite. She decided to keep it going. As far she`s concerned, she really did not do anything wrong. And let`s remember, she was acquitted of those charges. So she went out to a place, I think Houston, Texas was perfect. Her fan base was there. If you`re going to make your first step out, go where your fans are. They embraced her. They loved her. But let`s not call it a comeback quite yet. Let`s wait until the advertisers, let`s wait until Wal-Mart, JC Penney, all the people who dropped her, when they come back and she can have that same warm reception up north, then it`s a comeback.

Bob Newhart gets tonight`s honor for SHOWBIZ awesomeness. The TV staple in the `70s and `80s, just won his very first Emmy last night, which is so hard to believe. The Creative Arts Emmys were handed out in Hollywood, and Bob won for outstanding guest star in a comedy. It`s his first win after more than 50 years in the business. And seven nominations. Of course, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there, and you have got to look at what Bob told us about his nomination.
