A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Tonight it`s our "Caught on Camera" countdown. Road rage terror. A driver mobbed after he hits a member of a huge motorcycle caravan. This is one of the top five stories caught on camera today, but will it top the countdown?

MILEY CYRUS, SINGER: You`re always going to make people talk. You might as well make them talk for, like, two weeks rather than two seconds.

HAMMER: Miley Cyrus, wild child without apologies. And Alec Baldwin`s softer side. We`re talking about the biggest names in Hollywood with the biggest star in daytime talk. Wendy Williams right here, and we`re asking her way more than, "How you doing?"
Hello I`m A.J. Hammer. Thank you for watching. So great to be here with my co-host tonight, Nischelle Turner.
NISCHELLE TURNER, CO-HOST: Thank you. Glad to once again.
HAMMER: Of course. And what a day filled with such serious drama, and apparently, cameras were rolling every step of the day.
TURNER: They always are, A.J. And in any case, we are going to count down the top five stories that are "Caught on Camera," starting with No. 5: Road rage terror in New York City.
A gang of bikers chased and attacked a man in front of his wife and 2-year- old daughter after the man apparently hit one of the bikers with his SUV. Now, the whole incident has gone viral after video of the drama surfaced online.
The SUV driver pulled over after the initial accident. But then police say the bikers surrounded his SUV and began hitting it and slashing the tires.
HAMMER: Yes, and this is just the start of the drama. The SUV driver took off. He was fearing for his life. He hit three more bikers in the process.
The gang chased the man down, and when the SUV couldn`t get any further on its slashed tires, the bikers apparently broke the SUV`s windows with their helmets, pulled the dad out and beat him.
The SUV driver was treated for slashes to his face and was released. One of the bikers was arrested and is facing several charges.
With me in New York tonight, we`re so pleased to welcome actress Rosario Dawson. She`s a spokesman for the Purple Purse campaign. It`s part of the national Domestic Violence Awareness Month that starts today.
Also here actor and E! News co-host Terrence J. He is the author of a brand-new book called "The Wealth of My Mother`s Wisdom."
So terrific to have you here.
Wow, I mean, what frightening video. Rosario, you as a fellow New Yorker can probably relate. You`re looking -- that`s the West Side Highway there.
ROSARIO DAWSON, ACTRESS/PURPLE PURSE CAMPAIGN: Yes, it is.
HAMMER: I can`t tell you how many times I`ve been on that highway in my SUV, and you do occasionally see groups of motorcycles. This was one particularly large gang. But how insanely crazy. This guy has to have been freaked out for his life and that of his family in the car with him.
DAWSON: Yes, and you`ve just got to think about how dangerous that is, that his family is in the car, and how they could have run off the road. Anything could have happened to them. It`s really -- road rage is one of those things that is just really, really something you`ve got to look at, because people behave differently, for some reason, when they`re in a vehicle.
HAMMER: Yes.
DAWSON: I don`t know why that is. It`s like Louis C.K. talks about that. It`s like in person you would never scream at someone like that, like if they nudged you on the street, would you really behave like that? In an elevator? But on the road all of it is like "Die!" You know, "Go to hell!" and try to run people off and actually be really physically dangerous. You know, this is -- you`re in a moving vehicle. Like this.
HAMMER: It happens like this, too. I was driving on the West Side Highway, again in my SUV, two days ago on Sunday. You don`t think something like that`s going to happen.
Some people are now praising the guy saying, "You know what? He did what he had to do to protect his family." One of these bikers is in a coma. His family is saying, you know, "We don`t know if he`s going to get out." I mean, he ran over one of the bikers.
Here`s our countdown question tonight: "Motorcycle, road rage victim, a hero protecting his family or roadway vigilante?" What do you think, Terrence?
TERRENCE J, E! NEWS: I mean, once again, that`s a complicated video that we`re watching.
DAWSON: Yes.
J: It`s really hard, unless you were in the car, to know who bumped who first? Was the driver of the car getting upset because they were blocking him? Or were the bikers out of line? It`s just really complicated and difficult. I`m just upset he didn`t call the police. I mean, that should have been the first thing.
HAMMER: Yes. We also don`t know for sure what transpired as far as that`s concerned.
J: Exactly.
HAMMER: If you watch the video -- and again we don`t fully know -- it kind of looks like this guy got in front of him and slowed down, this biker. It`s crazy.
All right. Let`s move on to No. 4 on our countdown. Anti-gay outrage boils over, almost literally. So the head of Barilla Pasta, Guido Barilla, is apologizing again. He`s got a new video out today for -- This is an apology for his antigay comments that he made during a radio interview last week.
He reportedly said that he wouldn`t feature same-sex couples in his company`s ads, and if gays don`t like it, they can go eat another brand of pasta. Well, that`s just terrific.
Well, after tons of angry customers threatened to take that advice, Barilla issued a statement of apology, and today Barilla is putting his apology on video, saying he respects everyone now.

GUIDO BARILLA, HEAD OF BARILLA PASTA: I`ve heard the counter-reaction around the world to my words, which have impressed and saddened me. It is clear that I have a lot to learn about the lively debate concerning the evolution of the family. In the coming weeks, I pledge to meet representative of the groups that best represent the evolution of the family, including those who have been offended by my words.

HAMMER: OK, let me first say I am happy that the guy said what he said. I am always suspect of an apology that comes on the heels of a threat of a boycott. I just have such a hard time finding sincerity. I hope there is sincerity there.
But Rosario, here`s our countdown question about this. Pasta maker`s apology, what do you think: heartfelt or half-baked?
DAWSON: Well, I think we`ve seen a lot of different companies who have made, you know, racist statements or homophobic statements, stick by their words even after huge outrage and threats of boycotts and boycotts. So I actually take what he said, actually, quite well. I mean, I don`t know if he wrote it. I don`t know how much he believes it, but I think he`s actually going to make those strides, which I think is a huge thing, considering how many people never even consider it.
HAMMER: Well, it seems to me that, if anything can help people move on from their bigoted, old-fashioned thought processes, it can ultimately only be a good thing.
TURNER: Yes. Listen to what the president said. I mean, he`s had an evolution. Everyone has an evolution. It doesn`t mean that you have to at the very beginning accept everything that you don`t necessarily believe in. But open your mind and let`s try to get on the right side of history here, everybody.
HAMMER: Yes. Can I read to you, actually, some that I think is terrific?
So Buitoni Pasta are you familiar with that brand? They`re sort of taking advantage of this.
J: Of course they are.
HAMMER: Now, they put on their Facebook page -- do we have the shot of this? They put "Pasta for all! Come on.
TURNER: There you go.
J: That`s a good marketing director over there. You`re going rainbows. You`re putting whole-wheat pasta with regular pasta. Mix it all up. I want to see some macaroni elbows with spaghetti, rigatoni. Put it all together. You`ve got to capitalize on that, baby.
HAMMER: All right, should we not be celebrating...
TURNER: Like those Cheerios ads, which I thought were really great. And there was even that one and reaction to all of that fanfare. I watched something online where it was a white mom with a mixed-race child. And went and did the cheerios thing on her black mother, which I thought was really amazing.
DAWSON: Yes.
TURNER: Diversity.
I`m telling you, we just got to get with it. It`s 2013, everybody. Come on.
All right. Let`s go to No. 3 on our countdown. A new method of conflict resolution.
Everybody is talking about this video of two WNBA players. They were called for a double personal foul, had a bit of a tussle and just some words. But just when you thought you might see a brawl this is what you see.
Diana Turasi, the Phoenix Mercury on the right, gave Seimone Augustus of the Minnesota Lynx a little kiss on the cheek. You saw that? This clip has gotten almost 7 million views on YouTube. It kind of defused the whole situation.
Rosario, let me give you our countdown question for this:
DAWSON: Go ahead.
TURNER: Would pro sports be better if, instead of bench-clearing brawls, players settled their beefs with a little love?
DAWSON (singing): A lot of love.
TURNER: There you go. I like it.
DAWSON (singing): A lot of love.
(speaking): Bringing the love. How great would that be?
TURNER: I know.
DAWSON: It`s already starting with the chest bump. You`re right there.
TURNER: I loved it when I saw it. Because actually, Seimone, at first when Diana kissed her on the cheek, she was like wait -- and then all of a sudden, she was like, "All right. OK. I get it. I get it."
TURNER: It`s just driving to work, you know,. It`s just playing a game. At the same -- at the end of the day, you know. When you`re looking even at the government shutdown, what kind of values are we passing onto our kids and going, how do we work things out? When there`s a problem how do we avert crises of danger when everyone is misbehaving in almost every single space? You know, where really these are the opportunities, showing something like this that makes a huge difference generationally.
TURNER: Terrence, hug it out, kiss it out?
J: That is actually my favorite story of the day.
TURNER: Yes.
J: I love seeing those two WNBA players kiss on the cheek. Now, once again, I don`t want to see LeBron James giving Chris Paul a kiss on the cheek.
DAWSON: Why not?
HAMMER: No pasta for you.
J: No, no. What I mean it`s just like NBA is such a rugged game.
DAWSON: Hug it out, man.
HAMMER: They`re patting each other on the butt.
DAWSON: Butt slaps, dad.
TURNER: But Isaiah Thomas and Magic Johnson kissed on the lips.
J: During a game?
TURNER: During the finals in that -- back in, what, ``88 -- or `87 or `88.
J: I want to see competitiveness.
TURNER: There you go.
J: I want to see competitiveness. But in that story it was fun to watch.
TURNER: All right. We are down to the top two stories "Caught on Camera." Will Justin Bieber`s recent bizarre behavior carry him to No. 1? Rosario and Terrence, I`m going to say stay right there, because we`ve got to talk about that.
HAMMER: Also ahead, we`ve got to talk to the queen of all media, because she is right here tonight. How you doing, Wendy?
Charles, can you do for me? I can`t do it. Charles? Charles?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How you doin`?
HAMMER: Thank you.
We`re turning the tables on the great Wendy Williams. We`re putting her in the hot seat tonight. Because I want to know all about her new docu- series, which is all about her Broadway debut. It`s really cool.
And does she actually take time to really enjoy her success? She is always working so hard.
And of course, we are also grilling Wendy about today`s hot topics like Miley Cyrus.

And what about Alec Baldwin`s unusual yoga video? Two-time Emmy winner Alex is taking a backseat to his wife in her yoga video. "Dear Wendy," celebrity edition, coming up.

And at No. 2, an "I quit" video that is crazy and has gone crazy viral. Video producer Marina Shifrin gave her notice in what I think is a really creative way. She shot a video using a Kanye West song at her now former company.

TURNER: Yes. Marina says that her boss only cared about clicks and not creativity. Naturally, her boss says, no, that`s not true. But Marina reached the end of her rope and ironically, she ended up starring in a very clickable video. Watch this.

GRAPHIC: For almost two years I`ve sacrificed my relationships, time and energy for this job. And my boss only cares about quantity and how many views each video gets. So I figured I`d make ONE video of my own.

TURNER: OK. Rap with us now, Rosario Dawson. Rosario, see I -- you`re loving this.
J: That`s the way!
TURNER: That is creativity at its best.
But OK, now I have to ask a Debbie Downer question. She`s going to have to try to get another job at some point. Do you think maybe this could haunt her instead of help her?
DAWSON: Yes. Apparently, she was willing to take that risk, though. It`s a whole new world now. I mean, when you start investigating, you know, employers are looking at your Facebook pages and your posts and all of these different things. I mean, it`s just where your private life and your work life are completely separated -- no longer separated. And she definitely made sure that was the case with her, as well.
TURNER: You know, it was so entertaining, but I think you`re right. I mean, it could kind of follow her, because her former boss, Michael, Michael Logan, he just told NBC that, yes, OK, he does care about clicks. Because here`s what he said: "Advertising pays the bills. But it doesn`t mean I don`t care about quality." He also added that, "We gave Marina assignments and opportunities to be creative, and she never took them."
Now Terrence J, I think this video is creative.
DAWSON: I agree.
TURNER: I don`t know what he`s talking about. Do you think, though, that she might land on her feet after all this?
J: Absolutely. I mean, I don`t know what her skill set is but I want to hire her. I want her working for me. If she has any type of creativity on her work that she does in that video, I`d love her on team Jenkins.
So I think she`ll land on her feet. These type of things, they blow over after a while. So eventually, it will go away and she`ll be able to use it, I think, if she wants to. We`ll see.

DAWSON: Some people might not hire her. But then there could be a lot of people, this could actually be great advertising for her.
TURNER: I was going to say. And A.J. is right: She does have a little groove in her. She does.
HAMMER: Beyonce is looking for some more dancers.
TURNER: Now. OK.
J: That wasn`t, like, a new Kanye West song off of the latest album. She dug in the vault.
DAWSON: She went back.
J: She went deep. She went deep.
TURNER: And she gave a little.
J: Yes.
TURNER: She put a little back into it.
DAWSON: And the editing and the whole thing. A lot of effort.
J: Miley Cyrus might need somebody new in her camp.
TURNER: There you go.
J: There you go.
HAMMER: Maybe Justin Bieber needs somebody else to carry him around, because apparently, that`s what he`s up to.
No. 1, Justin Bieber is getting carried away. Justin is sparking a brand- new controversy tonight after his fan group tweeted these photos. Yes, that`s Bieber`s body guards carrying him along the Great Wall of China. Uh-huh.
He`s in China. He`s doing the Asian leg of his "Believe" tour. I`m thinking maybe he`s just really tired.
But Rosario, the Great Wall of China? It`s an -- it`s an historic site. To some people, it is a sacred site. Really?
DAWSON: Are these pictures he posted?
HAMMER: Oh, no. Oh, no. The fans put these up.
DAWSON: Interesting.
HAMMER: These are people who wanted to -- you know, say look at what Justin is doing. Not cute. No.
DAWSON: No.
J: Let`s be honest. When me and Rosario go to the Great Wall, I carry her, as well.
HAMMER: OK.
J: This is nothing new. She`s been here on this show. You didn`t think I was that strong, A.J.?
HAMMER: Well, let`s -- Hold on a second, Terrence.
J: She`s light, man.
HAMMER: Let`s break this down for a second. You`ve had a tremendous career. You are now the co-host of the great E! News program that you`re doing out there in Los Angeles, out in Hollywood. You`ve got this great new book out. I imagine you`re at the point where people are carrying you around.
J: No, stop it! Stop it. Not at all. I do have a Segway every once in a while. I use my Segway.
HAMMER: I don`t think you should use that on the Great Wall of china.
J: No, no, no.
DAWSON: Not going to go over well.
J: You know, it`s hard to tell the -- what really happened in this photo. I mean, Justin`s a young guy. It might have been a fun thing. I don`t know...
DAWSON: Could have been joking. Could be a spoof thing.
HAMMER: Biebs, not a good idea. That`s my opinion.
All right. You guys stay right where you are, because we`re not done with you just yet. Want to get your take on today`s hot debate. It`s about two stars who are allegedly -- who have allegedly been racially profiles. That`s what they`re talking about. We`ll talk to you about that in just a moment.
And also ahead, five seasons as a TV talk show host, a Broadway debut, a new wig line. You`d think Wendy Williams is on the top of the world. Well, she is. And tonight, she`s telling all to me. I`m putting Wendy in the hot seat.
And it wouldn`t really be right to have her here and not talk about today`s hottest topics in Hollywood. What is Wendy saying about Kim Kardashian`s return to the spotlight? Are Kim`s post-baby fashions hits or misses? We`ve got "Dear Wendy," celebrity edition.

HAMMER: Tonight it`s a celebrity police stop gone viral. And this is a story we first told everybody about.
TURNER: Yes, we sure did. Now the "Newsmaker" interview we did is sparking a hot debate tonight. "Punky Brewster" and "Family Matters" star Cherie Johnson and her boyfriend, fellow actor Dennis White, were recently driving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The couple made a sight-seeing stop near a cotton field, which led them to being pulled over, handcuffed, and allegedly harassed by a white Marion County sheriff`s deputy.

DENNIS WHITE, ACTOR: He asked my license and registration, which is customary. He went back, checked everything; came back clean. He asked us a billion questions: where we were going, where we were staying, how long we`ve known each other. Then he pulled me out of the car and asked me more questions about drugs.
CHERIE JOHNSON, ACTRESS: I said, "Are you doing this because we`re black?" And that was when everything took a turn for the worst. He patted the car. He walked back to his car. He put on gloves, and the next thing I knew, he was handcuffing Dennis.

TURNER: In the end of all this, they were released without as much as a warning. Cherie and Dennis claim their only crime was being black in South Carolina.
Now actress Rosario Dawson and E! News co-host Terrence Jenkins, Terrence J, are back with me here in New York.
You know, guys, Cherie and Dennis say that they came forward, because they believe that some people are conditioned to think that this is OK in that part of the country. Do you think that them sharing their story can actually help bring some change in this situation?
DAWSON: I think absolutely. I think we need to share our stories in general. You know, I think there`s just too many people who are caught in silence, and we don`t say things. And even if maybe it`s wrong it still can create a dialogue that is really necessary and important.
And to say that race isn`t something that`s really prevalent in how we have a discourse with each other on a day-to-day basis is ridiculous. You know, so many people are confronted with the idea of going, "I never even realized I had maybe a racial bias on this or this issue before until I was really thoroughly questioned. And I think that`s an important thing for us to kind of elaborate.
TURNER: You know, and that`s something what Cherie said yesterday, is that talking about it, she thought, would help bring awareness to this. What do you think, Terrence?
J: Absolutely. I mean, our country is off of the heels of the Trayvon Martin situation, the tragedy. And it`s just -- it`s amazing how people forget so fast. So when you bring up stories like this and you bring it to the limelight and you have two actors that are down there visiting, and they talk about it, I really think that the dialogue does lead to positive change. It takes time, but it does lead to change.
TURNER: We should say also this Marion County sheriff says that he is investigating this. He`s getting everyone involved in this. But if these allegations are proven true, I mean, should that officer lose their job? What do you think?
DAWSON; I have no idea how all of that works, you know, and especially, you know, with the line of duty and all of these different things, but I do think that that is something, you know, when we`re talking about racially profiling here in New York and how difficult that is towards people who are getting picked up once and twice, and three times a day, even.
You know, this is such a critical issue that I do think it`s important. And how this is handled is probably going to have repercussions around the country.
TURNER: Indeed. I agree with you very much.
Rosario, thank you for coming with us today and being here and continuing to raise awareness, first of all, about domestic violence. You`ve got your purple purse there, as part of the Purple Purse Campaign.
DAWSON: Thank you.
TURNER: And Terrence, it`s always great to see you, as well.

HAMMER: I`m getting better at it. Over the years that we`ve known each other, I`m terrible (inaudible). Always so great to see you.

HAMMER: And listen, we got these letters from celebrities allegedly that we want to share with you because we have certain celebs going through things in the headlines right now. We figured, you have some great advice. Who do you think is first? Miley Cyrus, of course.
WILLIAMS: OK.
HAMMER: Now, she has this MTV documentary, it`s called "The Movement" and she is going through this big transformation, she is opening up about this transformation on the documentary, why she is doing the things she is doing. Let`s watch a little of that.

MILEY CYRUS, SINGER: Right now I`m at a point in my career where I can be exactly what I want to be. Every time I don anything, I want to remember this is what separates me from everybody else.
I have this freedom to do whatever I want. Because I`m starting as a new artist now.

HAMMER: OK, She thinks she has all this freedom, she could do whatever she wants, and doesn`t really have to answer to anybody. Here is the letter that we think she would be writing to you right now.
WILLIAMS: OK.
HAMMER: Dear Wendy I`m a 20-year-old twerking pop superstar who loves to strip down to my undies and smoke weed. Everybody seems to be against me, but I`m just doing my own thing. Should I ignore the haters? What would you say?
WILLIAMS: Well, you know, first of all, we have all been there, you know, young people, in your early 20s doing your own thing. She`s probably having a whole lot of fun. But I -- hopefully she won`t do anything detrimental that will stick with her .
HAMMER: Yes.
WILLIAMS: . to the point where her fan base will go away. Because, you know, irrelevancy is just one mistake away.
HAMMER: Right there.
WILLIAMS: Yeah.
HAMMER: And I have always said about her and all of the things, her antics, if you will, that are going on right now, it doesn`t seem to have staying power. Maybe she is busting out right now, but I don`t see how this it working for her five years from now.
WILLIAMS: No, but, you know, maybe five years from now, it doesn`t matter. Maybe as long as she has her money, you know, and we know that she is loaded.
HAMMER: OK.
WILLIAMS: Yeah. I don`t put Miley Cyrus and legend in the same sentence. No.
HAMMER: No, I think it will be sometime before we do that.
WILLIAMS: Yes.

WILLIAMS: OK.
HAMMER: She had been absent from the limelight for a long time, perhaps, that was even a good thing. Of course, she had her baby and now she has returned into the spotlight for the first time in three months. Have you seen this yet?
WILLIAMS: I don`t like the blond hair.
HAMMER: Yeah, people are not loving this look. At least a lot of critics are speaking out. So we got an alleged letter from Kim Kardashian to you .
WILLIAMS: OK.
HAMMER: . which you`ll have to answer directly to her. "Dear Wendy I`m a reality TV star, glam girl and a new mom. The whole world is waiting to see what I`ll wear next. But I`ve dyed my hair blond and the fashion police hate my new style. It`s my duty to be fabulous. How can I fix my fashion?"
WILLIAMS: It`s not even about losing more weight. I think that she`s a gorgeous girl, and, you know, I like that she has a zaftig (ph) body. However, the blond hair just makes her random and regular. Every other girl has that same hair style. You know, the dark roots and the blond heck. Eve I have wigs that look just like that. But I nor you are Kim Kardashian. This girl rocks black hair like nobody`s business. It`s - what - she puts the "e" in exotic with that black hair.
HAMMER: Yeah.
WILLIAMS: She needs to go back to the black hair.
HAMMER: OK, fair enough. And do you think, perhaps, she also should maybe take a cue from having taken some time out of the spotlight while she recovered from her birth giving and maybe - I don`t know, continue to lay a little more low. I think it`s nicer, I like when we see her now rather than a little more than when we see her all the time.
WILLIAMS: Yeah, I hate when the whole family as a matter of fact, is forced down my face. I like that she is not in every magazine every week. You know .
HAMMER: Yeah.
WILLIAMS: Doing her things .
HAMMER: Well, this was a little surprising. You know, we are getting all these "Dear Wendy" letters allegedly from these celebrities. And we`ve got one from Kim that we just did, and Kanye West also writing to us. He, of course, came out on the town with Kim for the big fashion shows in France .
WILLIAMS: Yes.
HAMMER: Right on her arm. He is staying in the headlines as he continues to battle with the paparazzi. I want to get your take on Kanye`s alleged letter to you.
WILLIAMS: OK.
HAMMER: Here`s what Kanye, we think, would be writing to you: "Dear Wendy. I know I`m the greatest rock star in the world. I know everybody wants to see me. I know everybody wants to talk to me. And I know everybody wants to be me. They even think my baby is America`s baby. But what it will take for everybody else to finally recognize my greatness?" OK, we`re having a little fun in that letter that he supposedly wrote to us about his ego. I mean, let`s face it.
WILLIAMS: We have heard the interviews. We know he`s heading very big.
HAMMER: We are not making that up.
WILLIAMS: He needs to sit down and shut up. Have several seats. Stop. Oh, poor Kim. She is stuck with that for the rest of her life.
HAMMER: And you think it is the rest of their lives?
WILLIAMS: Well, they`re not going to get married.
HAMMER: You don`t think so?
WILLIAMS: Oh, no.
HAMMER: You`re declaratively saying, not going to happen.
WILLIAMS: I`ve said it. A million times. As a matter of fact, on my own show, I said, if they get married I will eat crow on TV.
HAMMER: For 72 days.
WILLIAMS: I don`t know who cooks crow. But if we get Wolf Can (ph) pop in here, and put some hot sauce on it, and some garlic, it might taste OK.
Yeah, no, they are not going to get married, but they are stuck together because North is their daughter.
HAMMER: Yeah.
WILLIAMS: So, you know, parenting is - is a never ending job.
HAMMER: Well, that`s true. She will probably never have a connection to her 72-day husband Kris Humphries ever again.
WILLIAMS: No.
HAMMER: One everything is completely settled up there.
WILLIAMS: Yes.
HAMMER: Kanye regardless of where that goes, they are tied together with her.
WILLIAMS: Yes.
HAMMER: Well, we`ll continue to wish them all the best. And by the way, we work in New York City. You can find crow somewhere I`m sure.

WILLIAMS: Yes, he is. I think this is the sweetest thing I have seen.
HAMMER: Oh, OK. So, you are not frightened. You are just surprised.
WILLIAMS: No. Why would I be frightened?
HAMMER: Well, I don`t know - the look on your face, I thought frightened.
WILLIAMS: No, no. I`m trying to skip from crying and being emotional. I think that that`s sweet. I didn`t have Lamaze and all that stuff. I just figured - you know, we`ve been delivering babies since the cage time .
HAMMER: Right.
WILLIAMS: Just get in there and push.
HAMMER: Right.
WILLIAMS: But I think it`s sweet. That he is in there with his wife.
HAMMER: Yeah.
WILLIAMS: That would make more people interested in, perhaps, the Lamaze courses or yoga, whatever they are doing.
HAMMER: Yeah, well, she, of course, is a yoga instructor.
WILLIAMS: Yes.
HAMMER: And flexible.

HAMMER: Just a little bit. And to see Alec, though, there and not in some video that somebody snapped on their phone of him, you know, getting all hot headed at the paparazzi.
WILLIAMS: Yeah! It`s so Zen. I love it.

HAMMER: After a while you are just going to kind of stick to it.

HAMMER: Welcome back. I`m just so pleased to have my old friend Wendy Williams back with me tonight. Now, I take old meeting - it`s been a long time that we have known each other.
WILLIAMS: I met you in 1992, season one of "Martin".
HAMMER: Oh, my goodness.
WILLIAMS: Remember the D.J. at convention?
HAMMER: Wholly maco! Well, that`s a long time.
Wendy, of course, used to grilling celebrities on her talk show. Tonight we are turning tables, putting Wendy in the hot seat. Are you ready for it?
WILLIAMS: Yes.
HAMMER: OK, now because you talk so candidly about celebrities on your show, you pretty much put it out there even if it`s very unflattering. I have to imagine there has been a time when you have been encountered a celebrity about whom you have said some pretty unflattering things.
WILLIAMS: Yes.
HAMMER: Can you give me an example of who that might have been and what went down?
WILLIAMS: You know, I don`t have a specific example, but I can tell you this: I cower and usually hide behind somebody.
(LAUGHTER)
WILLIAMS: You know, say, I`ve been talking about you in "Hot Topics," A.J.
HAMMER: Right.
WILLIAMS: And then we are at a party, you know, here in the city .
HAMMER: Yeah.
WILLIAMS: I`m like oh, my gosh. There is A.J. Hammer. Damn it. It`s so easy to sit in that purple chair and talk on my show. But when I have to face it, now, I don`t want to talk. And then, and the celebrity never says anything either.
HAMMER: Oh, no, you have never been confronted?
WILLIAMS: No, no!
HAMMER: How dare you, Wendy Williams?
WILLIAMS: No!
HAMMER: None of that! OK.
WILLIAMS: Can you believe that has never happened?
HAMMER: It is a bit surprising. Because man, you call it like you see it.
WILLIAMS: But, you know, everybody`s calling it like they see it. I`m not going to say that my show is so original. I mean the host is original, but everybody talks hot topics, everybody is curious.
HAMMER: That`s true.
WILLIAMS: You know.
HAMMER: So, here`s something I am curious about you.
WILLIAMS: OK.
HAMMER: And this is another host question for you. You have had this incredible career. You know, I listened to you on the radio for years. And we were friendly competitors back in those days. You`ve had this amazing TV career. You are on all over the country, you`re making a lot of money. It really seems like you have made it, but I`ve always got in the sense and then you actually - you`ve talked to me about this before that you`re so afraid it could all go away .
WILLIAMS: Oh, please.
HAMMER: Like that.
WILLIAMS: Like that.
HAMMER: So what if it all ended tomorrow?
WILLIAMS: If it all ended tomorrow I`ll go back to radio. I`m fine with that. You know .
HAMMER: But is that something you really live in fear of every day? Do you talk to a counsellor about that? Because I mean you do enjoy the moment, no?
WILLIAMS: Take this the best way. I`m not living in fear of my talk show being cancelled, not because it can`t happen, but because you know I`m 49 years old. I`ve been through a lot. And I know if I stay focused I can rebuild.
HAMMER: Right.
WILLIAMS: And I`m not scared on betting on my ability to rebuild. I mean I have had some really tough times in my career. The show has come along at a time in my life where I have supreme confidence in myself. I`ll be OK.
HAMMER: Do you enjoy your success?
WILLIAMS: I really do.
HAMMER: OK, no, that - I wanted to make sure about that.
WILLIAMS: Yeah!
HAMMER: OK.
WILLIAMS: I really do enjoy the success and I`m acutely aware that it can all go away tomorrow. But for one of the first times in my life I`m not scared about what will be tomorrow.
HAMMER: Well, and you are somebody who will jump beyond yourself. You were in Chicago on Broadway .
WILLIAMS: Yeah.
HAMMER: . over the summer, you let the cameras follow you around for this great TV Guide Network special tomorrow night. What are we going to see?
WILLIAMS: Well, it`s Wendy Williams "How Are You Doing, Broadway?" I`ve never been on Broadway before, I`m not a trained singer nor am I an actress as such, but people have given me opportunities. And I had a wonderful time. You are going to see me go to the doctors. You know, I have a conundrum with my throat. I have these vocal lessons from, you know, this - I call her the captain of the voice police. Oh, my gosh. So mean, but so nice at the same time. I miss my family. I`m laughing. I`m crying. I get encouragement from a couple of celebrity friends. I`m including Christie Brinkley.
HAMMER: I have a feeling we are going to get to see what I know of you and that is the fact that you work your ass off.
WILLIAMS: I do.
HAMMER: Yeah. Good, I can`t wait to see this.
WILLIAMS: I do.
HAMMER: I`m actually - I have already said it, in case I can`t be able to watch it live, but I`m going to try to watch it live.
WILLIAMS: And it was fun doing it, because I was also doing the talk show at the same time. So, busy-busy.

This time, for today`s hot flashes, where we take on the day`s hottest stories and first, we have got to get to Jay Z unplugged. He`s talking about what he was doing the dark days of his life before he was really famous.
TURNER: Yeah, this is the brand new interview with "Vanity Fair" magazine. He opens up about how dealing drugs helped him become a successful businessman. Listen to what he says, he says that to be in a drug deal you need to know what you can spend, what you need to reup, and you have to have an exit strategy because your window for dealing drugs is very small. You are going to get locked up or you`re going to die. He also admits that he regrets being a part of the New York crack epidemic in the 1980s. He said, I was thinking about improving my situation, I was thinking about buying clothes. He went on to say that he was not really thinking about what he was doing to the community.
With us now, John Murray, who is editor in chief of AlwaysAlist.com. John, you know, Jay has never shied away from his past. He has never said anything that he didn`t do. But do you think that reminding people now of what he did then can actually hurt him where he is in his life right now?
JOHN MURRAY, ALWAYSALIST.COM: First, I have to give kudos to "Vanity Fair" for putting Jay-Z on the cover. Him and Kerry Washington in the same year is a big deal, because they are a magazine that typically puts emphasis on the fair in their title. But Jay-Z cannot change the reality of who he is. All he can do is use his reality as a cautionary guide, and so I think him putting emphasis on the fact that there are only two ways out of this life, and it is prison or you are going to end up dead. And as a person who had a parent who lived a life very similar to Jay-Z, I`m glad he is telling people who are involved in the whole street pharmacy business, these are your only options, so get out if you`re in it and don`t choose the path if you don`t have to.
TURNER: I like what you said there, it`s a cautionary tale he is telling everybody. This is the next flash here, ?her is setting the record straight about how she feels about Madonna. This s a brand new interview with reddit. Now, Cher says she never hated Madonna. She just thought that Madonna was a bitch. Cher goes on to say that I think Madge might be one of the most amazing artists I`ve known. I don`t like everything she does for sure, but she`s always riding the crest of the wave. She always saw trends way before anyone else and had great videos. So beside saying WTF is MDNA, I`m fine with it. John, is Cher delivering probably the best back handed compliment ever?
MURRAY: She is living in her truth. And I know that`s not a politically correct thing to do for people in this particular climate, but we should live our truths. Nischelle, you and I both know, we have both met celebrities who don`t live up to their image persona, they don`t live up to the music. You met them and were disappointed. So fans look at things like this from the outside in. They look at the art, they look at the subjective thing, and they get mad when you tell the truth about your real- life encounters. So I applaud ?her for telling the truth about what she thought about Madonna. More people should tell the truth about their interactions with people.
TURNER: Did she have to call her a "b" though?
MURRAY: It`s her word of choice. When you are 60 you can say what you want.
TURNER: When you are ?her, you can say what you want.
