JOHN QUINONES, ABC NEWS: I`m John Quinones with ABC News. Please join us next time for another edition of "WHAT WOULD YOU DO?" on HLN.
A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Right now on the "Top Ten Countdown," Kanye versus President Obama. Why does Kanye really think President Obama called him a jackass? Kanye sounds off.
Could Kanye really be in the running for sexiest man alive? Well, SHOWBIZ lays out our contenders, including "Thor`s" Chris Hemsworth and "The Best Man"`s Morris Chestnut. So who should come out on top?
SBT starts right now.
Hello, and thank you so much for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. And let`s get right to it, kick off our "Top Ten Countdown" of today`s must-see, must- share stories with Number 10.
Another "Jackass" sequel that could be called "Jackass: Bad Kanye." I like that.
Kanye West has been called a jackass twice by our president, President Obama. The first time happened after Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift at the Video Music Awards four years ago. Well, Kanye just can`t seem to let it go. He just gave a brand-new interview to Philadelphia radio station Hot 107.9, and in that interview, Kanye suggests that the president used him as a punching bag to distract people from his own issues. Let`s watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KANYE WEST, HIP-HOP STAR: Just say, "We hate Kanye." It`s going to be very -- other people say we hate Kanye and stuff, and that was, like, kind of my position in culture. So that he also used that, too. "He`s a jackass" and stuff like that, because that`s how the world felt.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: The whole world felt that way.
All right. Well, we know it`s been a rough month for the president, and now he`s got to listen to Kanye going off on him on the radio.
Let`s take this on with comedian Michelle Buteau from VH-1`s "Best Week Ever." Pop culture contributor Megan Meany is also with us tonight. Here`s our countdown question, ladies: Kanye versus the president. Whose side are you on? Michelle.
MICHELLE BUTEAU, VH-1`S "BEST WEEK EVER": Gee, I wonder. Clearly, I`m down with the big "O," Obama not Oprah, although I love her. But what is Kanye doing? I feel like, look, man, if you have more drama in your life than actual hits, you know, then just shut up. Shut up. Just make songs, make weird T-shirts, and nobody wants to hear your business anymore.
HAMMER: I don`t think that`s how he sees it. Megan.
MEGAN MEANY, POP CULTURE CONTRIBUTOR: I don`t think so. It`s not the end of the Obama references for Kanye. He tends to have this repetition thing you may have noticed. The genius. The Michelangelo. You know, this will be back. Obama will be back for him. I don`t think Obama is losing any sleep over it, though.
HAMMER: I don`t think he is, at all. And of course, this comes just a couple of weeks after Kanye dissed Michelle Obama`s fashion sense. That also came up in Kanye`s new interview. Let`s just say the Obamas shouldn`t be expecting an apology any time soon.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Leave Michelle alone. Leave Michelle alone.
WEST: Yes, well, I think that he shouldn`t mention my baby mama name. You know, because we both from Chicago. I`m not going to mention him no more. I`m past that. That`s out my thoughts. That`s low on my priority of thinking at this point.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: OK. Now first of all, I don`t hear my president mentioning Kim Kardashian`s name any time soon, although stranger things have happened. Kanye now says, he said in this interview he is done talking about the president. Are you buying that?
BUTEAU: No. He`s not done talking about anything. I think he should wire his mouth shut again, because it`s too much. Am I allowed to divorce black people? Is that something I can do? Just him. Because he`s too much. Why are you going after Michelle Obama?
MEANY: She looked good in that bikini.
BUTEAU: She always looks good. If my body could look like one of Michelle Obama`s arms, I`d be happy, A.J.
HAMMER: We should count on the fact that Kanye and the president will have this love-hate thing going on for some time to come.
MEANY: We`re going to hear it. There`s going to be a pause and a tour. And we`re going to toss out Obama again and keep things fresh.
HAMMER: Now, I was listening carefully to this interview expecting that maybe we would hear reaction from Kanye West to the "Saturday Night Live" skit, which I thought was fantastic, over the weekend.
BUTEAU: I thought it was so good.
HAMMER: Imagine Kanye and Kim hosting their own morning talk show called "Waking Up with Kimye." I would love it if this was a real show. Let`s watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JAY PHAROAH, CAST MEMBER, NBC`S "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE": What better way than to start out off your morning than with our energy, my opinions and the sound of Kim`s voice.
NASIM PEDRAD, CAST MEMBER, NBC`S "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE": Hi guys.
PHAROAH: You all like this dress? I picked it out. This ain`t no Chris Humphries basketball White Kim. I turned this woman into an artiste.
PEDRAD: Yes.
PHAROAH: A philosopher.
PEDRAD: OK.
PHAROAH: An intergalactic icon to creativity.
PHAROAH: I`m also blonde now.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: It`s funny because it`s true.
BUTEAU: Hello.
MEANY: So good. The satellite Kardashians. Did you see that part, with all the Kardashians in the background on the set? Watch out, Kelly and Michael.
BUTEAU: They are kind of annoying. I`m sure they`re really nice people but they`re just very annoying. It`s like you can love yourself, but do you have to have let everybody know how awesome you are all the time?
HAMMER: Yes.
BUTEAU: Like, come on.
HAMMER: I don`t know what that buys you.
BUTEAU: Nothing.
HAMMER: It buys you conversations like this, I guess.
MEANY: It does. It buys you a sketch on "SNL."
HAMMER: Michelle, Megan, thank you both so much. Lots of fun.
Well, Kanye may be thinking he got his revenge there. And now Number 9 on our countdown is another kind of "Revenge." We`re talking about "Revenge," the TV show. It`s SBT on location at TV`s biggest thrillers like ABC`s "Revenge."
Now, all this week I am taking you to the sets of the shows that have millions of people holding their breath and biting their nails every week. And it really is astounding when you see how these shows make their magic.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER (voice-over): I am rolling from set to set around Los Angeles, dropping in on TV`s biggest thrillers. Right now we`re on a sound stage watching ABC`s "Revenge."
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Good evening, Emma.
HAMMER: Emily VanCamp stars as manipulative sociopath Emily Thorne. She returns to her childhood Hamptons home seeking, yes, revenge.
(on camera): I`m actually hanging out on Emily`s porch. One of my favorite things is we often see Emily peering out, gazing at the ocean from her ocean-front estate here in the Hamptons, or in Manhattan Beach on a soundstage, but what`s amazing is you`re never looking at the ocean. I actually didn`t even realize that. That wasn`t an exterior shot. Can we take a look here?
EMILY VANCAMP, ACTRESS: This is all I get to look at, all those green...
HAMMER: All those green screens there. You`ve got the dunes.
VANCAMP: Yes. And every once in a while we have a bunch of sand, depending on what we`re shooting.
HAMMER (voice-over): I then move from shooting at "Revenge`s" pretend beach house to shooting inside the fake jet on the L.A. set of CBS`s "Criminal Minds."
(on camera): So we`re on the iconic jet.
JOE MANTEGNA, ACTOR: This location gets asked about more than any place we shoot.
HAMMER (voice-over): Joe Mantegna is one of the stars of this drama all about the FBI`s behavioral analysis unit.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He doesn`t care about age or race.
MANTEGNA: He blends in and is most likely unassuming.
HAMMER: Joe gave me the lowdown about this plane the agents supposedly fly on when conducting official business.
(on camera): I don`t think the real BAU has an actual jet.
MANTEGNA: That`s the one thing. I`ve been to Quantico a couple times and met with the real BAU. That`s the one thing I think they`re a bit envious of. We can jump on this whenever we want to.
HAMMER (voice-over): And I hop from the set of "Criminal Minds"...
MARY MCDONNELL, ACTRESS: Sorry to drag you in so early.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) and suspicious White powder? You didn`t drag me anywhere.
HAMMER: ... to the set of another suspense-filled drama, TNT`s "Major Crimes."
MCDONNELL: Contact media relations. We have a photo to release. But first I have some strings to attach.
HAMMER: "Major Crimes" is about Los Angeles detectives who take on the city`s biggest cases. Mary O`Donnell plays Captain Sharon Raydor, the head of Major Crimes.
(on camera): You ever get the script and you`re flipping the pages and you get startled by what happens?
MCDONNELL: Yes. You go "What?" Yes, yes. We all do. I just had one last week. I`m still recovering.
HAMMER (voice-over): And we are right there with the stars.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What? What happened
HAMMER: Learning the shocking twists of these edge-of-your-seat TV thrillers.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Better stand up.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Why?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Sofa folds out.
Oh.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Quite a smell.
HAMMER: And for me, getting on the set of these thrillers was a thrill in itself.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Do not scream.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: That really was just such a thrill being there. But we`re just getting started. Now Tuesday on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, we`ve got the amazing story behind that jet we see on CBS`s "Criminal Minds." Very cool. Not exactly what you think.
Wednesday it`s my incredible experience at ABC`s "Revenge" with a remarkable look at how they make this fake beach town come to life.
Then Thursday I`m on location on the set of TNT`s "Major Crimes." I`m going to learn all the secrets of exactly how they make the crimes seem so real. It`s SBT on location at TV`s biggest thrillers. So happy to bring that to you all this week right here on HLN.
Well, our "Top Ten Countdown" is just starting to heat up with a boy band legend. I`m one-on-one with `N Sync`s Joey Fatone. He`s got a new show on how he`s saving Hollywood, one public star at a time.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: "Dear Joey, I`m fresh out of anger management rehab. Heck, I was there for a whole two weeks. Now I can control my emotions, but sometimes I just don`t want to be famous any more. Life would be so much easier. It`s tough when everybody is watching your every move," signed "Chris Brown."
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: So what would Joey tell Chris Brown if Chris asked for advice?
Carmen`s runway ruckus. Gorgeous model Carmen Carrera`s dream was to appear on the Victoria`s Secret fashion show runway, which would have made her the first transgender model to do that. What`s life been like for her since thousands signed a petition to support her? Well, Carmen is right here and she`s going to reveal the big secret behind her history-making campaign.
What`s going to be Number 1 on the countdown? This is SBT on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SBT. I`m A.J. Hammer. We`re now up to Number 8 on our countdown.
Sorry, Taylor Swift. "Victoria`s Secret" model Jessica Hart is now backtracking after saying that Taylor did not fit in with the models during the big fashion show extravaganza that is set to air next month.
Well, Taylor was there to rock the stage during the Victoria`s Secret runway show. But right after the show was taped, "Women`s Wear Daily" asked Hart whether Swift could she pull off being a Victoria`s Secret model. Here`s what Hart said, "God bless her heart. I think she`s great. But I don`t know. To me, she didn`t fit."
Well, now a rep for Victoria`s Secret is saying that Hart`s comments were wildly misinterpreted and that Hart thought Taylor was amazing.
Another big Victoria`s Secret controversy is in at Number 7 on our "Top Ten Countdown." A transgender knock-out who is still waiting for her moment as an angel.
Carmen Carrera became famous as a contestant on the reality show "RuPaul`s Drag Race." Carmen then fully transitioned into a woman, and her fans have been petitioning to get Victoria`s Secret to hire her as their newest Angel. So what has life been like since this whole whirlwind got started? Carmen Carrera is joining me right now.
It`s great having you.
CARMEN CARRERA, MODEL: Thank you. It`s great to be here.
HAMMER: It`s amazing what has gone on with this petition that`s been up on Change.org. Some 40,000 signatures just so far...
CARRERA: I know.
HAMMER: ... since this thing started to get you on that runway. I imagine it has to have been very overwhelming.
CARRERA: Yes. Well, you know, my social media is like my online diary. You know, so I interact with my fans all the time. When I vent, when I`m emotional. You know, whatever. So I think that`s what, like, keeps my fans there. So now it`s like this whole wave of, like, new people are coming in and joining the party. So it`s kind of interesting. It`s a little overwhelming, but it`s definitely interesting.
HAMMER: And to be clear, it`s not that Victoria`s Secret has ever turned you down...
CARRERA: Right.
HAMMER: ... from the opportunity to do this because you`re transgendered. That`s not the issue. I think there might be some confusion with some people because of that.
CARRERA: Right. Yes, well, I never really -- I just started modelling. I just signed my contract. September was my last Brad and W (ph). We just got off of that. And this Victoria`s Secret thing came up out of nowhere. You know, I posted a photo on my social media, and I was like, "Oh, you know, maybe you know, one day."
And the fans were like, "You know, we`re going to start a petition. And you know, we`re going to do this." And you know, it`s -- I don`t know. There`s so many things at one time, you know. But I never went out an auditioned. I never said...
HAMMER: It`s not like you`re angry because they turned you down because...?
CARRERA: No.
HAMMER: ... you transitioned. It has nothing to do with that?
CARRERA: I`m definitely going to -- It`s definitely on my list of things that I want to do in my career, my modeling career.
HAMMER: Absolutely. There are at least 40,000 people out there who think that you deserve that opportunity.
CARRERA: Yes. They`ve got my back (ph).
HAMMER: Look at some of the famous models who have walked on that runway. Of course, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima and Giselle Bundchen. You`re clearly just as glamorous as these ladies walking down a runway. Do you get why it does make some people still so uncomfortable?
CARRERA: Well, you know what? I guess I get it. But I think that now we`re at a good place, I guess, in society. People are a little bit more curious to get to know. OK, you transitioned. What else, you know, besides that? What else do you have to offer besides the whole transition? And so now, I don`t know. Like I guess I just got -- I don`t know. I get nervous on these things. You know? I don`t know.
HAMMER: I understand. I understand.
You consider yourself a show girl.
CARRERA: Yes.
HAMMER: You did great on RuPaul`s show.
CARRERA: Yes.
HAMMER: So Victoria`s Secret aside. What is that next dream job for you?
CARRERA: You know what I want to do? I think I want to do, like, "Sports Illustrated" or maybe I want to do "Maxim`s," like, hot 100. Or, you know, I want to fully utilize my youth and my modelling contract and who knows? I mean, for me the sky is the limit, you know. And eventually I will go for Victoria`s Secret. I`m going to have to train a little bit more. I want to tone up, because those girls are -- Their bodies are like perfection.
HAMMER: I was going to say do you consider yourself in line with these women? In terms of what it takes to be a Victoria`s Secret model?
CARRERA: I think I have potential. I definitely think that I will get it there. Because I can say that my runway walk is down pat.
HAMMER: We`ve seen it.
CARRERA: Down pat.
HAMMER: While you still by your lingerie from Victoria`s Secret?
CARRERA: Absolutely. Of course.
HAMMER: So there are no hard feelings?
CARRERA: No, there`s no hard feelings.
HAMMER: Best of luck to you, Carmen.
CARRERA: Thank you so much.
HAMMER: It`s a great story, and I wish you continued success. And that petition is going to keep on going.
CARRERA: Thank you.
HAMMER: All right. We move now from sexy runway models to Hollywood`s sexiest man alive as our countdown gets contentious. The SHOWBIZ team is fighting right now in our control room, talking about Kanye or Chris, Morris, Adam. Who should be in the running for sexiest man alive?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BRYAN CRANSTON, ACTOR: Say my name.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: "Breaking Bad`s" new ending. What is this? Well, long before Bryan Cranston brought "Breaking Bad`s" Walter White to life, he played the zany dad, of course, on "Malcolm in the Middle." Now his old show sets the scene for a hilarious alternate ending that is burning up the Internet. What`s going to be our Number 1?
This is SBT on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Have you met my daughter and son-in-law?
CRANSTON, ACTOR: No. I haven`t had the pleasure.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Kelly, Steve, I want you to meet somebody.
CRANSTON: Hi. I`m Hal.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hi, Hal. It`s so nice. Oh, my God. He put a toothpick in my eye!
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: It`s hard to believe it`s the same guy. Bryan Cranston just killed audiences with laughter as Hal in "Malcolm in the Middle" way before he started killing his enemies as Walter White on "Breaking Bad." That takes us to Number 6 on our "Top Ten Countdown." It`s the "Breaking Bad" alternate ending.
"Breaking Bad" was easily one of TV`s darkest dramas, but what if Bryan Cranston`s whole meth-making killer character, Walt, was just a funny dream? Well, "Malcolm in the Middle" sets the scene for a wild alternate ending that appears as an outtake on a brand-new DVD, "Breaking Bad: The Complete Series." You`ve got to watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CRANSTON: Say my name.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Heisenberg.
CRANSTON: You`re goddamn right.
Oh. Wake up. Honey. Honey, wake up. Wake up, wake up.
JANE KACZMAREK, ACTRESS: What is it? What`s the matter?
CRANSTON: I just had the scariest dream.
KACZMAREK: I told you not to eat those deep-fried Twinkies.
CRANSTON: You don`t understand. I was this meth dealer.
KACZMAREK: What?
CRANSTON: Yes. I was this world-class chemist, and I -- and I cooked and I sold this ultrapure methamphetamine.
KACZMAREK: You cooking anything?
CRANSTON: There was a guy who never spoke. He just -- he just rang a bell the whole time. And there was another guy who was a policeman or a DEA agent. I think it was my brother or something. He looked like the guy from "The Shield."
And there was this other little guy who was a wave, a man-child kid who always looked like he was wearing his older brother`s clothes. He would say things like, "Hey," the b word. He used the B-word a lot. He would say, "Yo, B-word. Yay, science, B-word!"
KACZMAREK: Calm down. Calm down. Just calm down. Calm down.
CRANSTON: And then there was me. And I had a shaved head and a goatee. I wore a black hat. And the only thing that made sense in the whole dream is I still walked around in my underwear.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: He also mentions that he had a blonde bombshell wife. And the video, of course, it linked online. It went crazy viral. How genius.
Back with me now, comedian Michelle Buteau from VH-1`s "Best Week Ever," and pop culture expert Megan Meany.
And Michelle, as a fellow "Breaking Bad" fanatic, you were probably just happy to see another fresh moment of Bryan Cranston.
BUTEAU: I can`t get enough of him. I almost want him to do this every year. Like, he made me love him even more. And I think more actors should do this now. What if Julia Louis-Dreyfus just, like, woke up in "Veep" and she had this -- she woke up in "Seinfeld and had a dream she was in "Veep" or something? That would be amazing.
HAMMER: Jane Kaczmarek, I guess, paid a visit to the set of "Breaking Bad" back in January, and when she did that Bryan came up with the idea, you know what? Let`s get into bed together and do this thing.
MEANY: And smart. And we`ve seen it before, right? I mean, this is a little bit of a spoof of the "Newhart" ending. And you see, I`m not sure it`s how I want my favorite show to end. I mean, isn`t the dream thing a little bit of a copout?
(CROSSTALK)
HAMMER: ... and don`t worry about it. I think it also proves that Bryan Cranston is by far a versatile actor.
MEANY: Absolutely.
BUTEAU: My favorite is he`s like -- he`s like "I was cooking meth" and the one thing she says, "You were cooking?"
HAMMER: All right, guys. Michelle, Megan, thanks so much.
We`re now at the halfway point as we`re counting down today`s "Top Ten" must-see, must-share stories. And still ahead, I`m one-on-one with this guy, `N Sync`s Joey Fatone. He`s got a new show. And now he`s saving Hollywood one troubled star at a time.
(BEGIN VIDEO Clip)
HAMMER: "Dear Joey, I`m fresh out of anger management rehab. Heck, I was there for a whole two weeks. Now I can control my emotions, but sometimes I just don`t want to be famous anymore. Life would be so much easier. It`s tough when everybody is watching your every move," signed "Chris Brown."
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: What would Joey tell Chris if Chris asked for advice?
Brad and Angelina rock the red carpet, but did one of their own kids actually steal the spotlight?
What could possibly be number 1? This is SBT on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Right now, the "Top Ten Countdown." Dear Joey. Former N`Sync star Joey Fatone is doling out advice to some of Hollywood`s other top celebs.
Dear Joey, I`m fresh out of anger management rehab. Heck, I was there for a whole two weeks. Now, I can control my emotions, but sometimes, I just don`t want to be famous anymore. Life would be so much easier. It`s tough when everybody is watching your every move. Signed, Chris Brown.
Yeah, you`re about to hear how Joey thinks Chris Brown can turn his life around.
I`m one on one with Joey Fatone, plus we`re laying out our contenders for sexiest man alive. "People" magazine making its official announcement in just one day. But we`re throwing our nominees into the sexy debate. So, which hot story is going to be number one tonight? "SBT" continues right now.
Welcome back. And thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. So, we`re here making our way to number one on our countdown of today`s must see, must share stories of the day. At number five, "Dear Joey." Helping us get `N Sync. Joey Fatone and I just spent some time in New York Central Park walking and talking about everything including his fantastic new cooking show. It`s called "My Family Recipe Rocks." And they are Sunday nights on the Live Well Network, and I also got him to dish some very tasty advice to everyone from Chris Brown to Snooki to Kanye West. We imagine what it would be like if they had written letter to him that all begin "Dear Joey."
We actually have letters from fans of yours that might possibly actually be from fans of yours.
JOYE FATONE: Yeah.
HAMMER: Thinks that they may or may not have actually written. Seeking your wisdom. You know, you`re a bit older now .
FATONE: I`m
HAMMER: A lot of knowledge.
FATONE: Yeah.
HAMMER: Shall we just get right to it?
FATONE: Sure. Let`s do it.
HAMMER: Well, this first letter reads "Dear Joey. I`m in a boy band with my brothers. We have called it quits! But my brothers actually performed in Mexico without me. We just want different things, but our fans are begging us to give it another try. What should we do, because you know boy bands rule. That`s signed Kevin Jonas.
FATONE: For us, as a group, I know this person probably is going to come to me, so I`m going to answer it right now. For us I think it will be kind of hard because we don`t see ourselves as four members of N`Sync. You know, it`s always five, it`s always going to be five. I don`t think you could ever replace - it`s almost like, you know, when you`ve got all the gears and you`re missing that one gear, it`s not going to work, so .
HAMMER: Right.
FATONE: It`s to always have that thing that is going to happen. But you know what - hey, people want to do it and get back together whether there`ll be three guys, four guys, and look at boys to men. They had four and now they have three. They`ve been doing it for many years now. It`s three. So it`s like if it works, it works.
HAMMER: For the record I wasn`t going to ask the question.
FATONE: OK. Well, you know what the answer is.
HAMMER: Are you ready for another "Dear Joey" questions, however? "Dear Joey. I`m fresh out of anger management rehab. Heck, I was there for a whole two weeks. Now I can control my emotions, but sometimes I just don`t want to be famous anymore. Life would be so much easiest. It`s tough when everybody is watching your every move." Signed Chris Brown. Did it ever get so intense for you back in the day in the height of - that you wanted a normal life?
FATONE: Well, the beautiful thing about it, is it hasn`t to do with just I mean it`s you`re a workaholic when it happens. I mean when there is such a demand for you, you`re always on the road, always trying to do things. I think, you know, Chris I have some advice for you. You know, take a break. Take some time. You know, get (inaudible) limelight. Even though you know, out of sight, out of mind, it always comes back. You left on a high note. It will be OK.
HAMMER: "Dear Joey. I`m the number one star on the planet and I`m planning the wedding of my dreams with the woman of my dreams. I`m choosing the dress, the wedding planner, everything. My girl says she is leaving it all to me." Signed from Kanye West, of course. And this is, by the way, something that Kim and K talked about with Jay Leno. You want to see that?
FATONE: Oh, yeah.
HAMMER: Look at that big monitor in the sky.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JAY LENO: Now, he`s planning the wedding. Is that correct?
KIM KARDASHIAN: He definitely knows what he wants.
LENO: Yeah.
KARDASHIAN: And I want him to, you know, have whatever he wants.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: So, Kim is saying right there .
KARDASHIAN: Right.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: . that she wants Kanye to have whatever he wants. Now, you`ve been married for what - ten years already?
FATONE: Ten years.
HAMMER: People are calling Kanye a bit of a groomzilla, but you know what, if anything wrong with her letting him take the lead?
FATONE: You know what if she wants him to take the lead, why not? You know, I do not see anything wrong with it. The same thing with me, when I got married, I even told my wife, whatever you want to do, I said the only thing is the basically after the reception kind of area and stuff that I want - and the cake. Those were the only two things that I wanted to have a say so in. Other than that, knock yourself out. That`s basically what happened. So - I don`t .
HAMMER: Believe it or not, we actually have a "Dear Joey" letter that sort of tied into your whole cooking show. My family recipe rocks. And it reflects this. "Dear Joey, we have so much in common. You competed on "Dancing with the Stars. I competed on "Dancing with the Stars. I`m a reality TV star and so are you. But I need your help. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I`m separate for a great recipe. Help, please." It`s signed your friend Snooki.
(CROSSTALK)
HAMMER: What`s your dish for the holiday?
FATONE: Well, we just recently got introduced. And I`ve had it before, but I never did it, and I did it two years ago now - it`s deep fried turkey. For me, it`s unbelievable. It`s ridiculous. But it`s so moist, and so juicy. And it cooks probably more than half the time that you would normally cook in the oven.
HAMMER: No kidding. I smoke a turkey. Have you ever smoked a turkey?
Did you ever smoke it?
Smoked turkey it`s delicious! Now, you can catch Joey Fatone on my "Family Recipe Rocks." It airs Sunday nights on the Live Well Network. And you must watch part two of my one-on-one with Joey Fatone. We`d had a lot of fun, we talked about everything from a possible instant reunion, of course, to the inside story behind Chris Kirkpatrick big wedding day. I got the detail.
Well, our countdown continues now with number four, believing in the Biebs. And if you can believe it, the Bieb`s just reportedly forced guests at his guest party over the weekend to sign a nondisclosure form, that`s not so unusual, but it would have had them coughing up $3 million apiece if they were to blab about what went down. Now, worry, because here now is a Bieber spectacle you can blab all you want about. I`m sure you like that. We`re about to give you a first look at the Biebs latest big screen spectacle, (inaudible) that`s going to hit theaters on Christmas Day, so please, take it all in, and then say whatever the heck you want about it.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JUSTIN BIEBER: When you reach a certain point in your life there are people out there waiting to see you fall. Rather than let gravity take you down, sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands and fly.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He went from being a kid on YouTube to being a worldwide arena veteran.
(APPLAUSE)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This one`s for you.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You can`t have a normal life if you`re a super star.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my god. That`s his bus!
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This is a massive monster hit.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He`s forced to grow up in front of the world.
BIEBER: When you fall in love. When you break up.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You know we`ve seen it time and time again. A young pop star makes it to the top only to crash.
Are you aware that you could be the next trainwreck?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (singing): As long as you love me.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Justin!
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What did you say?
BIEBER: I really wanted to hit him. That`s what they wanted. I learned from that.
You always got to keep a smile on your face. It`s all about positivity.
This is completely safe, right?
At the end of the day, it comes down to a young man in a room writing a song. That`s where it all starts.
This moustache is to make me feel a little bit older, self-delusional.
My favorite part is just the intimate moments with the fans. They`re who I do this for.
No matter how hard things get, everything is going to be all right.
Believe in yourself. Believe you can do anything if you set your mind to it.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Sometimes I walk the way I walk, I waddle because my pants are low.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Don`t let the pants wear you. Wear the pants.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m still your mom, and I still want you to pull your pants up.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Pull your pants up. So, you got to love Justin for getting so real in this movie. Back with me is comedienne Michelle Buteau from VH1 "Best Week Ever" and pop culture expert Megan Meany. What, Michelle? The whole time you`re watching that thing you`re about to put your head on the desk and start banging it.
MICHELLE BUTEAU, CAST MEMBER, "BEST WEEK EVER" ON VH1: Well, I just feel like, I mean, you either way it`s champagne problems. You know what I mean like. He`s young. He`s successful. He`s dealing with it. It`s so hard.
HAMMER: OK, but .
BUTEAU: He can afford therapy. He can afford .
HAMMER: This is his world.
BUTEAU: Yes.
HAMMER: And he`s giving his fans a little peek inside. And he`s, you know, being real or not? I don`t know.
MEGAN MEANY, LIFESTYLE POP CULTURE EXPERT, MEGANMEANY.COM: I want to say, the mom in me came out a little bit on this one. I thought it was sort of touching. And I feel like he is just a little boy out there in the big bad world. It`s not easy. I`ve got two boys. I can`t imagine if they were trying to be superstars and this was all being documented.
BUTEAU: He`s grown now.
MEANY: He`s not though, really. I mean I have to say, I kind of wanted to do this to him.
HAMMER: His fans still love him. He doesn`t have image problems. They are - but we hear him getting the hard time from just about everybody else. Do you think a film like this where he is kind of being more real is going to do anything to help rehabilitate that image for you?
BUTEAU: No. With his fans, absolutely. But I frankly didn`t see the movie and I`m not going to support his empire. I`m like OK, good for you, Boo. What do you think? Well, I mean I`m sorry I don`t care if you`re famous or not famous. You should know better.
MEANY: I feel bad for him. He I mean he was like - you know, I know I shouldn`t have punched him. I learned a lesson. He`s just a little boy to me.
HAMMER: He`s got a mustache now.
(CROSSTALK)
MEANY: He`s still going to be a big boy.
BUTEAU: He`s got a security team. $3 million for that party.
(CROSSTALK)
MEANY: And they say you`re the next trainwreck?
HAMMER: $3 million if you talk about the party. All right, I`ve got to leave it there. Michelle and Megan. Thank you. Listen, there are people out there who think that Justin Bieber should be the "People" magazine sexiest man alive this year. I`m telling you the truth. Their big announcement is just a day away, but look, we`ve got our own list of nominees to talk about: Kanye, Chris Hemsworth, Morris Chestnut. Of course, Adam Levine. Who should it be, though? We`ve got the debate that`s sizzling hot. And I`ve got a stunning reveal for you. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt`s son Maddox just stepped out onto the red carpet with his famous parents for the first time in what feels like forever. We can`t believe how grown up he looks. Could Maddox be Hollywood`s next leading man? What`s going to be our number one? This is "SBT" on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: All right, we`re getting closer to just three more to go before we reveal what`s the number one on our top ten countdown. Right now, it`s number three. Who will "People" magazine possibly name the new sexiest man alive on Wednesday? Well, the Internet has been buzzing like crazy today. There`s a lot of speculation that "People" is going to choose Adam Levine, but we`re here at "SBT" are asking, why wait? Back with me now comedian Michelle Buteau from VH1`s "Best Week Ever" and pop culture contributor Megan Meany. So, you heard it, the top candidate is Adam Levine. He`s having, of course, huge success on the voice as well as Maroon 5 and his own solo stuff. Michelle, does that work for you?
BUTEAU: Oh, my God, A.J., you know I love talking about this. It`s man me.
HAMMER: I`ve got all that stuff.
BUTEAU: I think it does work for me, honestly. Adam Levine? Yes, sure, why not? He`s really cute on "The Voice." He`s sort of like hit American, other ways he hasn`t with his music. Am I right? And he has that really cute cologne and he has a gay brother and he supports gay rights and all that stuff. You know, he could be the president of my fan club.
HAMMER: You`re shaking your head.
MEANY: No, no, ding, ding.
HAMMER: Oh, OK.
(LAUGHTER)
HAMMER: She is shaking your head.
MEANY: He definitely gets my vote. No question. He`s on my list.
HAMMER: All right. We have a package deal for our next sexiest man alive choices. It is Chris Hemsworth and his brother. Chris, of course, now topping at the box office as Thor. Brother Liam in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." It opens on Friday. Either one. You have your pick here, Michelle.
BUTEAU: Oh, my god. Can I just have a sandwich? Can I have a Hemsworth sandwich? Can I just take one for 30 days and return it with a receipt and just try the other one?
MEANY: I don`t want to have the sandwich. I only want the Chris part.
HAMMER: Oh, really?
BUTEAU: With the green card, I`ll get the one with the green card.
HAMMER: Do you think Liam couldn`t possibly make it to the top of the People list?
BUTEAU: Not mine. It`s not fair they are related and so attractive. Come on, I want to go on like a wrecking ball. You get it?
HAMMER: Got you. Ready for our next candidate? I believe you are, I believe you`re fan of this guy. Morris Chestnut. He`s starring in the "Best Man Holiday." He`s showing off his killer abs (inaudible). Morris just told our Natasha Curry on HLN Weekend Express how he got those abs for the movie. Here is what he said.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
NATASHA CURRY, HLN ANCHOR: Morris, what was that like? Did you have to get ready for it? What was that all about?
MORRIS CHESTNUT: Definitely. Malcolm before we started shooting was telling me I had to really convey being a football player still in his prime. Well, not in his prime, but still able to play in the leagues, so he kept on me to lose weight, lose weight. So I was losing weight. He said, you got to get, get that V. Get that V. I got the V. And then he didn`t want to see it. I was like, that`s how it was.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Sexiest man alive?
MEANY: I`m sorry, if your name is Morris Chestnut, you lose some sexy points.
BUTEAU: Oh, no, you are the sexiest man alive because your name is Morris Chestnut, and you are tall, dark and handsome.
HAMMER: Let me get to our last choice tonight, our last contender for the sexiest man alive is this man.
MEANY: Ew.
HAMMER: Our producers love the way he dotes on Kim Kardashian. Michelle, ew? Why?
BUTEAU: Yeah, #ew, #no.
MEANY: Most annoying man alive.
BUTEAU: You have to be beautiful inside and out. That`s how the ladies like it. That`s what makes you sexiest man alive. Is that you`re nice and you are responsible with your words and you`re not getting on like Obama`s nerves and whatnot.
MEANY: He`s not even hot to me.
(CROSSTALK)
HAMMER: -- can`t see through the other stuff?
(CROSSTALK)
HAMMER: We`ll have to wait for that magazine. But I think we had our ground covered here today.
BUTEAU: Morris.
HAMMER: Thank you so much, Megan, Michelle.
MEANY: Can I add one? (inaudible), an oldie but goodie.
(CROSSTALK)
HAMMER: All right, we`re down to our top two must-see, must-share stories of the day. What could be number 1? This is SBT on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Welcome back to "SBT." The final two in our countdown of today`s must-see, must-share stories, number two, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill keeping the faith. Now they are finally speaking out after months of reports that they are splitting up after 17 years of marriage. Let me read to you what Faith just told "People" magazine. She said, "it`s perplexing. I don`t know why happy can`t be a story." Here is what Tim added, "we don`t even think about it. The only time we ever think about it is when we worry about the kids. But they`ve been around it too so they laugh it off." Pop culture contributor Megan Meany and comedian Michelle Buteau from VN1`s "Best Week Ever" back with us. Megan, I have to say I think Tim actually did the right thing here by speaking out. Hopefully it will put this to rest.
MEANY: Yes, I certainly hope it`s true. Their marriage is like a country song. It`s so cute, the two country stars, the three beautiful girls. I want this one to last. I hope it`s not true. Take it with a grain of salt, though. We have heard other celebrity couples come out and say we`re fine and then they`re not.
HAMMER: I think happy can be a story. I don`t want to be so cynical as to say, well, they`re just covering their tracks. They have album sales to protect. That`s what people think.
BUTEAU: I know. It`s so unfortunate that people just don`t like happy. It doesn`t sell. And I have to think like if June and Johnny Cash, if the Internet was around when they were together, people would be talking about them too. Just leave them alone. I love that they come out together and they are always holding hands.
HAMMER: Hopefully they will last for a long time. Are you ready for the big reveal? We are here and it`s time for what is number 1 on our countdown tonight, and here it is. It is Maddox revealed. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt`s son Maddox just joined his parents on the red carpet. We were all stunned. Look how grown up he is. He`s 12 years old. He was there supporting his mom at the governor`s awards in Hollywood where she was honored with a prestigious humanitarian award. Angelina spoke out to "SBT" as you`re about to hear. Michelle Buteau and Megan Meany still here with me. It`s amazing. Look at him, how much he`s changed since the last time we saw him.
MEANY: Is he shaving?
HAMMER: I can`t answer that with any accuracy. But he could be the next leading man coming out of the (inaudible).
MEANY: I`m a little distracted by Brad`s haircut. I`m not sure who to look at more.
(CROSSTALK)
BUTEAU: So cute. He`s getting tall. We remember of course the early adoption photos when he was just all swaddled up in cloth sling with Angie, and look at him now. We have kind of grown up with this little guy.
MEANY: I love that they are doing this too. Because usually the photos you see of the kids are paparazzi (inaudible) airport, and I love they are sharing the experience of what they go through all the time.
HAMMER: This is a great setting, too, because obviously if anybody deserves a humanitarian award, it`s Angelina, who worked so tirelessly and continuously around the world for people in need. "SBT" went one-on-one with her on the red carpet. We asked her what people can do to help the victims of the typhoon in the Philippines. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ANGELINA JOLIE: I think the important thing is to educate ourselves as much as we can. It`s not as much about some people can`t send food aid, but they can follow up and they can know what`s happening and they can pressure their governments to give the big funds, and they can pressure the different agencies to do more and be accountable for what they`re doing. So I think every citizen around the world can be a watchdog for these things and they can really make sure the people of the Philippines and the people of Syria get what they need at this time, especially with winter coming in in Syria and with Philippines in the state that it`s in now.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: What a difference every time she speaks out about these things. Her getting involved with something like this can make a huge difference.
MEANY: Definitely. How she does this with all those kids I`m not sure, but my hat is off.
HAMMER: You are here with us, you do your mommy blog. Your schedule is pretty full yourself.
MEANY: Yeah, Syria, mommy blog.
HAMMER: Great having you both here, thank you.
Get ready for your moment of awesomeness. This is great. A couple reenacting a very classic moment from pop culture history. It`s the "Dirty Dancing" viral video that some are saying could possibly be better than the big screen original. Could that be? This is "SBT" on HLN.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: We have arrived. Time to reveal today`s moment of awesomeness. Today it is an amazing take on the iconic movie "Dirty Dancing." Tara and Drake Otto (ph) tied the knot earlier this year, and at the reception, they absolutely nailed Baby and Johnny`s triumphant performance in the movie. This video is going crazy viral. You have got to see it.
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: Pretty awesome. Now we are very excited to tell you about this.
