Levy Parents Comment on Condit's Interview

LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Let's go now live to Modesto, California, where the Levy family is now addressing the press.

SUSAN LEVY, MOTHER OF MISSING INTERN: (OFF-MIKE) our prayers to find my daughter. That is the utmost important thing for us.

DR. ROBERT LEVY, FATHER OF MISSING INTERN: Yes. We're not giving up looking for Chandra. We appreciate everybody's prayers and support. It's just -- so we want to keep at it.

QUESTION: Anything new? Any new information coming from back east? Any new hope for the two of you and for your son, Adam?

S. LEVY: I hope that someone will come forward and help us bring light to where my daughter is. That's it, that's all I can say. We're just really torn apart that we don't have her here with us right now.

QUESTION: Dr. Levy and Mrs. Levy, Gary Condit was interviewed Thursday of last week. We have not heard your response to his interview?

S. LEVY: We're just -- don't try -- go ahead, Bob.

R. LEVY: We just, you know...

S. LEVY: Trying to make sense of it all.

R. LEVY: ... look at everything and just keep our hopes and prayers going. Thank you.

S. LEVY: Thank you.

QUESTION: I am compelled to ask you one question at least...

R. LEVY: Sure.

QUESTION: ... and I'm hoping you can set the record straight. There's a lot of confusion. Was there a specific request by you, by the two of you, asking Mr. Condit not to speak about a relationship that he had with your daughter?

R. LEVY: No. No.

S. LEVY: Huh-uh.

R. LEVY: Thank you.
