Minnesota Senate Race

CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: One of the races too close to call in the Senate race, the Minnesota race, and what an interesting race this has been. As you can see, Norm Coleman has 50 percent of the vote over Walter Mondale with 47 percent. And I just can't imagine how people are feeling in Minnesota.
Our Bob Franken has been in St. Paul all night long.

Bob Franken -- give us the mood.

BOB FRANKEN, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: Well, the mood right now is everybody is asleep. This is Minnesota, not New York, and St. Paul is a city that sleeps. But they're going to be coming back in a little while.

And the mood at Mondale headquarters, where we are, is a little bit apprehensive. They continue to say that some of their most favorable precincts are out there, but when you talk to some of the folks privately, they're saying it's going to take some surprise this morning before they're candidate is going to win.
