DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: We want to go to the Syrian ambassador to the United Nations speaking. We want to go ahead and listen in to that from the U.N.
(JOINED IN PROGRESS)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: ... not to share in the discussion of the report, because Syria is the neighboring country, the closest country to Iraq, and would be affected if there is anything happen to Iraq, as a member of that area, member of the Arab group, and if anything happen to Iraq will be influenced. All the area, including Syria, as the closest country, and Arabic country.
QUESTION: ... are ready today to say the declaration has serious holes. How will you pass judgment if you don't accept this declaration?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I have no judgment, because I will not share in this judgment since we did not receive the whole text, so how to judge the report, if it is not complete to be read.
Thank you.
KAGAN: Just some comments there. That is once again the Syrian ambassador to the United Nations. Of course, very concerned about what happens with Iraq and any kind of attack on that country since Syria borders of the country of Iraq. This on a big day at the U.N. The chief weapons inspector Hans Blix is to brief the U.N. Security Council today about what was in that report and apparently will be saying that there are a number of holes in terms of what they believe Iraq actually has in terms of weapons of mass destruction and what they reported in that report that went some 12,000 pages.
