(BRYAN ADAMS SINGING)

ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR, ANDERSON COOPER 360: And welcome back. 9:00 o' clock here in Times Square.

ANDY COHEN, CNN HOST: Bryan Adams. Still got it.

COOPER: I mean.

COHEN: I mean, I'm all revved up from that.

COOPER: I know. And that whole audience with the lights, it was exciting.

COHEN: Yeah, it was like concert.

COOPER: Well, I know. I haven't been to one.

COHEN: Yeah. We know.

COOPER: I know.

COHEN: We are now three hours away from the big moment here in Times Square. And

COOPER: Starting to get a little chilly. Starting to get a little chilly.

COHEN: It's getting a little chilly. We are here with the crowds awaiting the countdown. We have a lot more guests and performers.

COOPER: Stephen Colbert is coming up.

COHEN: Yes. Shakira. B.J. Novak, Robin, Sarah Sherman from SNL. She's so funny. Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn are going to be joining us in a few minutes.

But first. And you know what?

COOPER: What.

COHEN: With all do.

COOPER: Yeah.

COHEN: I feel like you caught a buzz right away.

COOPER: Yeah.

COHEN: Daddy didn't.

COOPER: Well, it takes a little --

COHEN: I'm ready. Yes. It does. My -- what's it called?

COOPER: Tolerance.

COHEN: Yes. It's a little higher than yours. Oh, I just might -- yours might be a little too big. Is it too big?

COOPER: Sorry, sweetie.

COHEN: OK. All right.

COOPER: All right.

COHEN: All right. Thanks.

COOPER: Cool. Well, if you're joining us at home.

COHEN: Yes.

COOPER: Which doesn't have to be alcohol certainly.

COHEN: Yes.

COOPER: Not encouraging.

COHEN: Do you want to say something inspiring?

COOPER: Do you want to say something inspiring?

COHEN: Yeah.

COOPER: I know. Look --

COHEN: Say something sweet to the people.

COOPER: Look, I think it's lovely to be here every year.

COHEN: Yes.

COOPER: And we've been doing this nine years. And I feel like the people who join us, join us each year.

COHEN: Yes.

COOPER: And I feel like it builds each year.

COHEN: Yes. And I feel like New Year's Eve can often be a lonely night for people.

COOPER: 100 percent.

COHEN: Yes.

COOPER: 100 percent.

COHEN: And so the fact is, we're all here together, whether you're working watching alone, or with friends or with a loved one or with someone that you can't stand. Here we are. And we're together. So --

COOPER: Yes. Cheers.

COHEN: Cheers. I mean, it wasn't great. Wow.

COOPER: That was big. I needed that, actually. OK.

COHEN: You OK? Still no sign of Diana Ross. I've been looking for her everywhere. You know, I caught a glimpse of Amy Sedaris' big pink gown, and I was like, is that Diana Ross? But wasn't. Yeah, that's a very old picture. I have met her once -- I've never interviewed her.

COOPER: Are you still talking about Diana Ross?

COHEN: Yeah, I am. I'm looking for her. Yeah, I'm looking for her.

COOPER: Why do have this belief that Diana Ross is somehow lurking around.

COHEN: I'm hoping that she's going to come up here.

COOPER: I think Diana Ross is ensconced in a suite somewhere.

COHEN: Well, I do too.

COOPER: As she should be.

COHEN: Well, I agree. I think maybe she would come up here for a minute. Anderson, you may not know. Here's a fun trivia fact about Anderson Cooper.

COOPER: You know what's sad? When you look up a teleprompter and the only thing written on there is Anderson got Andy's old bed.

COHEN: Well, I wanted to say. You're sleeping in my old bed now.

COOPER: No, no.

COHEN: Yes, you are. I gave you my old bed. Look at that beautiful bed I moved this year.

COOPER: That's --

COHEN: I didn't have --

COOPER: -- in the house in Connecticut. COHEN: Yes, that is. That's in your bedroom.

COOPER: That's your old bed. But I am not actually sleeping. I moved that into a room that it fit better in that room because --

COHEN: In what?

COOPER: -- it's very large bed.

COHEN: Yes.

COOPER: Yeah. I don't know.

COHEN: Is that in a guest room?

COOPER: Yeah.

COHEN: You don't know what room it's in?

COOPER: It's a guest room.

COHEN: So you're not sleeping in the bed.

COOPER: I'm not sleeping in the bed.

COHEN: Well, then I want it back.

COOPER: No, I thought you wanted to get rid of it.

COHEN: Well, no, I, I thought I was giving you my --

COOPER: Well, you were. And it's a great bed and I slept in it and I sometimes sleep in it, but it just -- it's --

COHEN: OK, take the picture down. I'm annoyed. I even -- by the way, I even blacklighted it for you.

COOPER: I don't know what that means.

COHEN: Well, you know on Dateline when they like show the hotel rooms like what's happened to them, you know.

COOPER: You did that?

COHEN: I did it just to see --

COOPER: Well, I mean.

COHEN: No, it was very clean. It was beautiful.

COOPER: There's something about sleeping in your bed it just I don't know.

COHEN: It's just the bed frame. I didn't give you the mattress.

COOPER: Well, I know, but I don't know, just.

[21:05:00]

COHEN: I thought that it made us like closer that you were like better brothers or something.

COOPER: We can --

COHEN: What?

COOPER: This isn't heated rivalry.

COHEN: Ooh, heated rivalry. Ilia. Who's -- of the two of us, you're Ilia and I'm Shane.

COOPER: What? Why would that --

COHEN: Who would we be?

COOPER: I'm not even --

COHEN: OK. All right, you know what? If you've ever wondered what Anderson looked like -- would look like with black hair. Six days after we got off the air last New Year's Eve.

COOPER: Showing this picture.

COHEN: Well, yes, you were out. You were covering the fires.

COOPER: Yes. Yeah. Yeah, you're right. I'm the -- one year anniversary of the LA fires --

COHEN: Is coming up.

COOPER: Is coming Up.

COHEN: Yes.

COOPER: And, yeah, Andy's obsessed with -- I went, I was actually there for another story, and the fires broke out and I started -- I just drove to Altadena, and that's in Altadena. But, yes, it was the most -- one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life. And, you know, literally drove to this corner in Altadena and spent the next eight to nine hours on this corner watching the entire neighborhood burn to the ground.

COHEN: Unbelievable.

COOPER: The firemen who were there -- I just got to say, you know, there's firefighters who are watching tonight and the work that they did in very difficult circumstances with, you know, hydrants that were running out of water, very difficult conditions. It was just extraordinary meeting these men and women on fire lines, operating without masks, in many cases, you know, at risk to their own health. They're just extraordinary.

That's a K9 unit from the LA Search and Rescue -- Urban Search and Rescue --

COHEN: There's your black hair again.

COOPER: -- who I worked with in Haiti years ago. Anyway, these people do incredible work, and any firefighter who is watching just thank you.

COHEN: You're still in touch with a bunch of firefighters that you had out there?

COOPER: I am. I does. I am. Well, there's one -- yes, there's -- yes.

COHEN: He was supposed to do a shot with us tonight.

COOPER: Yes, yes. And I --

COHEN: We're going to do one during -- we're calling you during a commercial break, and we're going to do a shot with you.

COOPER: Yes.

COHEN: So joining us now from Pasadena, one of my favorite couples, Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn.

COOPER: Hey.

COHEN: Hey, you, two.

COOPER: Oh, my gosh, is it raining there?

REBECCA ROMIJN, AMERICAN ACTRESS AND FORMER MODEL: Hi, guys. Rare, rare LA rain.

COOPER: Happy New Year.

COHEN: Wow, that's wild.

ROMIJN: Happy New Year.

JERRY O'CONNELL, AMERICAN ACTOR AND TV SHOW HOST: Happy new year fellas.

COHEN: Happy New Year. You look so great. Wow, you really turned it out. I mean, Jerry, I last saw you at BravoCon surrounded by Bravo Leberties, and you were just such a great vibe there. Did you have fun at BravoCon?

O'CONNELL: It was so much fun. I mean, it's my -- I know you guys went to Disneyland and you were talking about that. BravoCon is my Disneyland. You know, and I know you guys went to, like, brunch with Goofy and Daffy and all --

ROMIJN: And the princesses.

O'CONNELL: And the princesses. For me it was like just getting to sit down with Dolores and just -- I mean, it was just so fun. COHEN: Shout out Dolores Catania, Jerry, when you Google your name, which I did yesterday just to see what's in the news with Jerry, first thing that comes up is you and Stamos got together. You reunited. It's been major news, Jerry.

O'CONNELL: Yeah, well, you know, I mean --

ROMIJN: By the way, how are they reunited?

O'CONNELL: We were reunited in --

ROMIJN: They weren't united in the first place.

O'CONNELL: John and I have not been together for, like, decades.

ROMIJN: And for the record, I'm not reunited with him.

O'CONNELL: No, you know what? It's -- like, you guys know we're trying to get this whole Russia, Ukraine thing wrapped up. It was time to get the whole Stamos, O'Connell thing wrapped up.

COHEN: Well, you wrapped it up. I absolutely love it. Hey, Rebecca, next year you are going to be reprising your X-Men role of Mystique in Avengers Doomsday.

COOPER: That is awesome.

COHEN: I mean, how cool getting back in the blue makeup after all these years. Did you imagine that you would come back to that role ever?

ROMIJN: No, I was. It was a phone call I was not expecting, that's for sure. It was very -- it's been very surreal going back into that character. But you know what? I have ownership of that character the way I didn't have 25 years ago. It really felt great. It felt great to be with my old cast and new cast. And honestly, 2025 was a very busy year for me, career wise.

COHEN: So. I know -- yeah, you've been working your --

(CROSSTALK)

O'CONNELL: -- Literally after shooting Rebecca is still blue -- Rebecca is still blue like right around there. It still hasn't come out. It was permanent. Show them -- show them.

ROMIJN: Now?

COHEN: And -- show them yeah. And you like that, right, Jerry?

[21:10:00]

O'CONNELL: Yeah.

COHEN: You like that.

O'CONNELL: I like that.

COHEN: Yeah.

O'CONNELL: Listen I'm married Mystique. I want to see some blue. Show me that blue.

COHEN: Yes.

O'CONNELL: You know how it is.

COHEN: Jerry, you went to game three of the World Series this year. You documented your entire night. You went to, I think, the whole World Series. But what was that 18 inning game like? Did you consider leaving at any point?

O'CONNELL: You know, I really did consider leaving. It was at Dodger Stadium. I know we're here in Pasadena and we love Pasadena. We actually just saw Diana Ross. Diana Ross was just -- just walked past. That's for sure. I'm not really that much of a Dodgers fan, so I was like, why am I sitting here? But then I started posting about it and I don't know, it was like being a part of history. It was really fun. Leaving was crazy. Everyone was super wasted. It was really crazy.

COOPER: Do you want to ask --

(CROSSTALK)

O'CONNELL: No wasting --

(CROSSTALK)

COOPER: I'm sorry. I'm thinking about Mystique.

COHEN: Oh, yeah. OK. This year --

ROMIJN: Oh, we're going back to Mystique?

COOPER: Yes. I'm sorry. No, I'm just that I was lost in a reverie.

COHEN: Yeah.

COOPER: Yes. I actually wanted to ask. I mean, this year we lost the great Rob Reiner --

O'CONNELL: Hey, Anderson. Once -- Anderson.

COOPER: I'm sorry. Yeah, go ahead.

ROMIJN: Oh.

O'CONNELL: Anderson. I was going to say once you go blue, you never go back.

COHEN: Wow. Well, I'm blue and he's blue, so let's get it on.

COOPER: I did want to ask you about. About Rob Reiner, who directed you in Stand By Me, which I got to say, and I actually told this to Rob Reiner back in September. I got a chance to interview him about the sequel to Spinal Tap. And I was telling him not only about how obsessed I am with Spinal Tap, but also how important Stand By Me was when I was a kid and I saw that movie. It really had a huge impact on me.

I saw it a bunch of times. I found it incredibly moving. Can you just talk a little bit about working with him, what he was like and what you remember?

O'CONNELL: You know, it's been a very -- it's been very emotional for everyone who knew or everyone who touched Rob. I mean, even you, Anderson. Like, you know, what an impact he had to everyone around him. It's been very emotional. I've been reaching out to people who were -- we were all close with.

Rebecca and I recently saw someone who also worked on Stand By Me, a producer who was -- it's just a very emotional time. And it's so tragic that happened over the holidays. And it's -- I have to tell you, to be honest, I know we're supposed to be light and funny here. But it's -- I'm still sort of going through it. I think we all are. It's just a really emotional. It's just a tough time.

COOPER: Yeah.

COHEN: Boy it is really dumping rain on you guys, isn't it?

ROMIJN: It's so much rain I can't even tell you.

O'CONNELL: It is crazy. I am so wet and I'm so concerned with -- I got to tell you I'm very concerned with Rebecca's hair. Rebecca's hair --

ROMIJN: You do not have to worry about my hair.

O'CONNELL: I know it has a tendency to -- you can't say frizzy, it has a tendency to get curly if it gets wet, so I'm just really worried about it.

ROMIJN: No you don't have to. I went with curl.

COHEN: That's how I feel when it rains with --

O'CONNELL: Hey, guys can we talk to you about this Star Trek float that we're on right now that's going to be in the Rose Parade tomorrow?

COHEN: Yeah.

COOPER: Yeah why not. What are you doing in on a Star Trek float.

O'CONNELL: Check it out man.

COHEN: She's on Star Trek.

COOPER: Oh, OK.

O'CONNELL: We're so --

COHEN: Wow, that is cool.

COOPER: Oh, my God.

ROMIJN: I'm on Star Trek.

COHEN: Oh, that's so fun.

ROMIJN: Yeah. Tomorrow I'll be tomorrow be in the rose in the Rose Bowl Parade with the legendary George Takei. George Takei. Check this out. You were speaking of earlier

O'CONNELL: On Anderson's podcast.

ROMIJN: Karim Diane. And this is the 137th Rose Bowl Parade. And I think it's been 20 years since we've done it in the rain.

O'CONNELL: Artistic Entertainment Services made this Paramount Plus float. It's all organic. All organic guys. These are all seeds and flowers. I got to give you a tour of this. Honey, hold this. Watch your hair. Careful with your hair.

ROMIJN: OK.

COHEN: Be careful. Oh, my God. This is freaking me out.

O'CONNELL: Don't fall CNN. What's up, cameraman. Check it out, guys. Look at this. These are all flowers. These are all Rosas. Look at the this. There we go. Star Trek 60. Look at this.

COHEN: Wow.

O'CONNELL: That's there the captain's chair. I got to show you by our pals Al Roker and Hoda tomorrow on NBC, I think.

COHEN: Jerry, it's amazing. We love you guys so much. Jerry, we're wrapping out of this. We love you so much. Have fun on the float tomorrow. Protect Rebecca's hair. Get the blue tonight and we will see you soon. OK? Love you.

O'CONNELL: Rebecca wave.

COHEN: Love you.

O'CONNELL: Bye guys.

O'CONNELL: Happy new year.

COHEN: Love you.

COOPER: Bye. Happy New Year.

[21:15:00]

COHEN: Coming up next, Leanne Morgan joins us and Robin performs live in Times Square. But first, they've been viewing us all night up on the rooftop at Pier 17. Now the Steps on Broadway students are back on. Oh, they're dancing to another hit.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

COHEN: Welcome back. Taking the stage live here in Times Square, it's Robyn. We're going to speak to her on the riser after. Let's listen now. This is going to be a banger.

ANNOUNCER: Please welcome to the Planet Fitness stage, international pop superstar Robyn.

(ROBYN SINGING)

[21:20:00]

COHEN: All right.

COOPER: I love Robyn.

COHEN: I love Robyn, too. She's going to be joining us in a few minutes.

COOPER: Yeah.

COHEN: It seems like it got a lot colder.

COOPER: It did get a lot colder. I switched to like a heated jacket under this.

COHEN: Yes, you did. If you put the hand warmers ---

COOPER: It's my first heated jacket. I got the hand warmers.

COHEN: -- on your ears. It feels --

COOPER: So is that --

COHEN: Yes, I'm sure it's unsanitary. Our next guest.

COOPER: That is possible with your hair system.

COHEN: Our next guest has had an incredible year. Leanne Morgan is here. Hey, Leanne.

LEANNE MORGAN, COMEDIAN AND ACTRESS: Hey, boys. Hi. Thank y'all for having me.

COHEN: Oh, my God. You're in Knoxville, Tennessee, right?

COOPER: Wow.

COHEN: Are you with family or what's going on? MORGAN: I am, my darling. I am. Because I've only got a few more nights. And then I moved back to LA to shoot my second season of my shop.

[21:25:00]

COOPER: I used to work for a company called Channel One, and the headquarters was in Knoxville, Tennessee. Chris Whittle, Whittle Communications. Anyway --

COHEN: There he goes.

MORGAN: I know him, yes.

COHEN: By the way, Leanne, what a year you have had. Your Netflix sitcom Leanne was picked up for a second season. Your new Netflix comedy special Unspeakable Things was just nominated for a Critics Choice Award. You shot a movie with Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell. I mean, just -- it goes on and on and on. Was there one moment this year that was your pinch me moment that you still can't get over?

MORGAN: Yes, my darling. Every day at Warner Brothers, shooting a television series with Kristen Johnston, your buddy and Tim Daly, Ryan Stiles, and all these wonderful people with Chuck Lorre. Every day I pinch myself and could not believe it. Because that has been my dream, to have my own sitcom.

COOPER: How has your husband reacted to not only your rise and your sitcom character's husband also having the same name, Chuck, or having the name Chuck. And also, how does he respond when you include stories about him?

MORGAN: I think he wants to be famous. I think he likes it. And I'm building him a Hollywood career. I think because we go out and people yell Chuck Morgan. Everybody is in love with Chuck Morgan. I'm not kidding.

COHEN: I love it. Well, you made him famous. Listen, it's your fault. What has been the biggest lesson that you've learned as you went from doing Stand up to starring in your own sitcom? I know Jerry Seinfeld reached out to you to offer his advice. What was that transition like for you?

MORGAN: Oh, my darling. OK. I really feel like Andy. I mean, I was scared to death. But once I got in there and we shoot in front of a live audience every Friday night, I thought -- like around the sixth episode, I thought, OK, I think I can do this. And I think that's why they give stand ups multi-cam sitcoms and build those around us because we're used to a live audience and we've got that timing. And I think I could be good at this.

Now I've got Kristen Johnson coaching me, honey. I can't tell you how much she helped.

COHEN: Oh, I know that lady will tell you how it's going to be because she knows what's up in the art of sitcomry and comedy. Leanne, I want to go through some moments from this year and see if you want to see more or less of them in 2026. OK? So starting with Labubu. Do you want to see more or less Labubus?

MORGAN: Well, I mean, if little bitty children like those little creepy things. I mean, I don't want to take that away from little children. Do y'alls children like those?

COHEN: Yeah, I do.

MORGAN: Well, let's let them hook Labubu.

COOPER: My kids don't know what those are.

COHEN: Mine do. What about brotherly love storylines on White Lotus? Did you like the incest storyline this year?

MORGAN: No. I love White Lotus. But, Oh, boys, I thought that was a little mud. I don't know. I just did not dig that. But I loved White Lotus. Loved it. But I thought that was a little creepy.

COOPER: I'm a big Mike White fan.

COHEN: Yeah, he's the best. What about Kim K's Merkin SKIMS? What about -- do we need more Kim K Merkin SKIMS?

COOPER: Oh. Its Merkin SKIMS?

COHEN: Yes, that's a skim that has --

COOPER: Oh, my Lord.

COHEN: -- kind of cubes on it.

COOPER: No, you don't need to spell it out.

COHEN: Sorry. Sorry.

COOPER: We get it.

COHEN: Leanne, do we want more of those?

MORGAN: I mean, I don't, but I'm sure young girls that feel good and you know, are making hormones. I mean, I don't know what that's for, boys. What is that? What is that for?

COHEN: Now, Leanne, there was a viral -- there was a viral dating moment where you intentionally date someone less attractive than you, so they're less likely to leave. It's called shreking. What did you make of that?

COOPER: What?

COHEN: Yes, it's true. It's true.

MORGAN: I mean, I can see how that can work, you know, why not? Get a big old Shrek looking somebody. I think that could look so painful. Yeah, why not?

COHEN: What about CBD gummies? More or less next year?

MORGAN: Less for me because every time I've taken them, I see snakes.

COHEN: Understood.

[21:30:00]

MORGAN: Yeah. I don't want those.

COHEN: Where do you stand -- where do you stand on AI generated content?

MORGAN: OK, y'all, I don't -- I mean, I don't mean to be an old grandmama, but I don't like that. Cause they put pictures of me and Chuck Morgan, and I'm in like a Santa sexy outfit. It's not my body, even though that's cute. But then it'll have Chuck's head but not his teeth. I don't like all that. And people think it's us and it's not. Or it's me and Tim Daly holding somebody's baby. I don't like all that.

COHEN: Oh, my God. I understand. I'm with you, by the way. Hey, Leanne Morgan, I can't wait to see more from you next year. I'm so excited you got to pick up on the Netflix show. And you're just the best. And the world is better with you in it. So have a great Happy New Year and thanks for hanging out with us tonight. We love you.

COOPER: Happy New Year.

MORGAN: Oh, thank you, Lord. Thank you so much. I love y' all so much. Happy New Year.

COHEN: Happy New Year. Coming up next, we have more celebrity New Year's resolutions. And SNL star Sarah Sherman is getting ready at the Times Square edition. She joins us on the riser next. I love Sarah Sherman.

COOPER: I would hold hands with you anytime at Central park. She's one of SNL's biggest stars now has a comedy special on HBO Max called Sarah Squirm live and in the flesh. Sarah Sherman is here.

COHEN: And look at this outfit. I mean, the suite of harlequin clothes that you come up with every time I see you, it's just incredible.

SARAH SHERMAN, AMERICAN COMEDIAN AND ACTRESS: I got to keep it interesting. It's New Year's, y'all.

COHEN: I hope you're taking this out tonight.

SHERMAN: I should. I want the wig to come off.

COHEN: Can I get you a shot?

SHERMAN: Yes.

COOPER: OK, good, good.

COHEN: We're going to --

SHERMAN: The wig is keeping me warm.

COHEN: The wig is keeping you warm.

SHERMAN: It is.

COHEN: Oh, that's a wig?

SHERMAN: I think it has.

COHEN: You know just ruined the mystique for me.

SHERMAN: I know.

COHEN: Wait, I'm going to actually --

SHERMAN: Anderson come on.

COOPER: Yeah. I will have a little.

COHEN: Oh, really?

COOPER: Oh, Lord. I'm not going to take yours.

COHEN: Yes.

COOPER: Just this --

COHEN: OK. Just a little splash.

COOPER: That's fine.

COHEN: Wow, it got so much colder, I have to say.

COOPER: Where are you from?

COHEN: Cheers.

SHERMAN: Where am I from?

COOPER: Yes.

SHERMAN: Long Island.

COHEN: Cheers.

COOPER: Oh, I didn't know.

COHEN: Cheers.

SHERMAN: Cheers. Happy New Year. COHEN: Happy New Year. We're so happy you're with us.

SHERMAN: Oh, my God.

COHEN: Sarah.

SHERMAN: It's poison. That's a -- drinking is poison.

(CROSSTALK)

COHEN: Oh, that was saying it's poison. All right, well, I mean, I'm -- I thought it was great. Hey, this year, huge year. SNL 50th Anniversary celebration.

SHERMAN: Yes.

COHEN: I saw you and Bowen Yang on stage with the B-52s.

SHERMAN: Yes.

COHEN: The whole weekend was amazing. What was your biggest pinch me moment of that weekend?

SHERMAN: Paul McCartney was there, and I said, I stole your haircut from Wings era. And he goes, I know. I watched the show.

COHEN: And meanwhile, then two weeks ago was SNL's holiday episode with Ariana Grande and Cher.

SHERMAN: Yes. I knew.

COHEN: What was your highlight from that?

SHERMAN: I, like, Cher walked by me and I, like, went like, I wafted her scent.

COOPER: Yes.

COHEN: Yes, you did. And what does Cher smell like, would you say, if you had to put it into words.

SHERMAN: She smells like diamonds.

COOPER: Oh.

SHERMAN: She smells like diamonds.

COHEN: She smells like diamonds.

COOPER: Yes.

SHERMAN: And she changed outfits between dress and air.

COOPER: That she should.

COHEN: Oh, yes. SHERMAN: You guys didn't see --

COHEN: Cher. Yes.

COOPER: She called me, like, a couple weeks ago before --

COHEN: Yeah.

COOPER: Yeah.

COOPER: Well, stop boasting about it.

COOPER: I just --

SHERMAN: Gave her my number.

COOPER: I was so excited.

SHERMAN: I was blackout.

COHEN: You don't pick up. But speaking of diamonds, are you watching Beverly Hills Housewives?

SHERMAN: Yes, of course. And this jacket is very giving Rachel Zoe.

COHEN: Yes, it is very Rachel Zoe. Rachel Zoe's back.

COOPER: I know. I know.

COHEN: You don't.

COOPER: I do know. Yeah.

COHEN: You know your new HBO special, Live and in the Flesh is totally disgusting. Congratulations, because that's your goal.

SHERMAN: Yeah.

COHEN: Now all my son does is talk about poo.

SHERMAN: Yeah.

COHEN: And now would you say that you just never got over the poo talk?

SHERMAN: I am recapturing my inner child.

COOPER: As you should.

COHEN: OK. Yes..

COOPER: Yes. Yes.

SHERMAN: We all have to go back to when things are more fun.

COHEN: Yes. And would you say that poo and farts are always funny? SHERMAN: Of course.

COHEN: Yes. OK.

SHERMAN: There's -- I heard there's people right now who have been lined up all day.

COHEN: Yes. Out there.

SHERMAN: And they are pooping and farting in diapers as we speak.

COOPER: Well, I don't. No one ever admits that they're wearing the diaper?

COHEN: We like to envision them peeing in their diapers. Do you think they're craping their pants --

COOPER: No, I think they're peeing. They are not --

SHERMAN: I'm looking at a Chick-fil-A and, like, McDonald's. I don't think that --

COOPER: They're not able to go. They're not able to leave the pens that they're.

[21:40:00]

SHERMAN: Really?

COOPER: Yeah, yeah.

SHERMAN: These are -- I'm banging my pots and pans for them.

COHEN: Wow. Honestly.

COOPER: Have you ever been in Times Square during New Year's Eve?

SHERMAN: No. And I'm a Long island girl.

COOPER: Right, yeah, of course.

COHEN: And you brought your parents with you, which is very exciting.

SHERMAN: They're sobbing all day.

COHEN: They are?

SHERMAN: Yes.

COHEN: Because you made it and they're so proud of you?

SHERMAN: Well, they made it to Times Square on new year.

COHEN: Yeah. Oh, that's why they're sobbing.

COOPER: I thought they were for you. COHEN: I thought they were proud.

COOPER: I thought people are cold.

COHEN: I thought they were proud of you.

SHERMAN: They're sobbing. They're like, why are Andy and Anderson making me stand outside?

COHEN: Yeah, right. Yeah, we're -- yeah, I know. I want to play a little game with you called New Year's Resolutions. I'm going to run through some newsmakers from the past year, and you tell me what you think their New Year's resolution is going to be.

SHERMAN: OK.

COHEN: Starting with my favorite astronaut, Katy Perry.

SHERMAN: I guess New Year's resolution is she should go back to space.

COHEN: OK.

SHERMAN: I like when she went there. A lot of people were scared --

COHEN: Oh, watch out. Incoming.

COOPER: Oh, no.

COHEN: Wow. Every so often there's like an incoming.

SHERMAN: I have no idea what these men go through for entertainment.

COOPER: I know. It's so true. Gosh.

COHEN: What about the Louvre robbers, what should their resolution be?

SHERMAN: Give Me the jewels so I can wear with my outfit.

COHEN: Yes. How about Noah Wyle from The Pitt?

SHERMAN: He should become a real doctor.

COHEN: Yes.

SHERMAN: He probably could do it.

COHEN: Yes.

COOPER: I would totally go to him as a doctor.

COHEN: I would too. Elon Musk?

SHERMAN: Also go to space and stay there, you freak.

COHEN: Recently single. Nicole Kidman.

COOPER: Really?

SHERMAN: OK.

COOPER: What?

COHEN: Wait, you didn't know that Nicole Kidman is recently single.

COOPER: I don't know. No.

COHEN: Don't you cover the news?

COOPER: I --

SHERMAN: Yeah.

COHEN: Go gay is your -- yes.

COOPER: You know, Andy insulted her on this very program.

COHEN: No, I didn't. No, I didn't. Don't bring that up.

COOPER: She was --

COHEN: Stop. I didn't.

COOPER: I love Nicole Kidman.

COHEN: Well, I do too.

COOPER: For the record. Yes.

SHERMAN: To Die For, my favorite movie.

COOPER: Oh, my God. So good.

COHEN: I love her.

COOPER: So good. So good in that.

COHEN: So many. The Hours.

SHERMAN: The Hours.

COHEN: Yes. Yes. Lily Allen, what should her New Year's resolution be?

SHERMAN: She should date a night a nice Jewish boy.

COHEN: Yes. I agree. So should you.

COOPER: What about the new Pope?

SHERMAN: What about the new Pope?

COHEN: Yeah. The new Pope.

SHERMAN: Speaking of Jewish. COOPER: Yes.

SHERMAN: The new pope should let my Jewish ass into heaven.

COHEN: Yeah.

SHERMAN: Do I get to go according to him.

COHEN: Yeah. It's open for everybody.

SHERMAN: Yeah.

COHEN: I think.

SHERMAN: I think.

COOPER: Take heaven advice from him.

COHEN: How about the infamous Coldplay couple.

SHERMAN: They should do porn.

COOPER: I mean, I don't know.

COHEN: Wow. Is there a demand?

SHERMAN: Everyone likes seeing them hug and kiss.

COHEN: Right? OK. Take it to the next level.

SHERMAN: Yeah.

COHEN: Yes.

SHERMAN: Can you say porn on TV?

COHEN: Yes. You can say porn.

SHERMAN: Porn.

COHEN: Yes. We said poop or --

COOPER: Your parents are very proud.

COHEN: Yes. Your parents are very proud.

SHERMAN: They left.

COHEN: By the way, where do you think you'll go after this? Like, will you guys go out --

COOPER: You've got to go somewhere.

COHEN: -- dinner. I mean, you -- I mean, look at this.

SHERMAN: I have to go out. COOPER: Yeah.

COHEN: The tights, the shoes. Amazing.

SHERMAN: I know. Can you guys pan down to the whole outfit or what's going on?

COHEN: No, not really. We have very limited capabilities.

SHERMAN: It's so cold out, the camera's frozen.

COHEN: Yeah. No, our camera operator is like frozen over there. I have these hand warmers right here.

SHERMAN: I have my in underwear.

COHEN: Yeah. Oh, you --

SHERMAN: Yeah. And in my shoes.

COHEN: Oh.

SHERMAN: Yeah.

COHEN: Do you have a New Year's resolution?

SHERMAN: I do. It's boring.

COOPER: What?

COHEN: What is it? What?

SHERMAN: I have to meditate 20 minutes every -- let's. I'm going to meditate 20 minutes a day.

COOPER: Have you read Jon Kabat-Zinn, Wherever You Go, There You Are?

SHERMAN: No.

COOPER: Oh, you got to read the book.

SHERMAN: I read the --

COOPER: Jon Kabat-Zinn is one of the great meditators in America --

SHERMAN: Oh, really?

COOPER: And he has many great books. But a great entry book is Wherever You Go, There You Are. He's fantastic. I've done meditation retreats.

SHERMAN: Have you ever done TM? I like TM.

COOPER: I have not done TM.

SHERMAN: I like TM. COOPER: Yeah.

COHEN: I have a little TMZ.

SHERMAN: Girl, I just went to my TMZ doctor at 8:00am this morning.

COHEN: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SHERMAN: I have a --

COHEN: Yes.

COOPER: TM is transcendental meditation.

COHEN: I know what it is, sweetie. I think --

COOPER: You think, oh, I know --

COHEN: Stop it. No, I know what it is.

SHERMAN: Bro. You got to go to my guy. He got me a night guard that's top.

COHEN: Oh, I don't want a night guard. I got -- I got people --

COOPER: Let me TMZ.

COHEN: OK? We love you, Sarah. You are awesome.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

COHEN: She's had an amazing year with new music, and she just performed here in Times Square. Robyn is here. Hi, Robyn.

ROBYN: , SWEDISH SINGER-SONGWRITER AND RECORD PRODUCER: Hi.

COHEN: Robyn, by the way it has started snowing now.

COOPER: Yes, it's snowing.

COHEN: Very interesting. I think this is our first New Year's with snow that I'm with you.

COOPER: I guess. Yes, yes, yes.

COHEN: Robyn said she was so cold. I said, do you want a shot of tequila? She said, absolutely. Here it is, Robyn. There you go. Bottoms up. OK. And she's down. Very good. That was so great. We loved your performance. Where are you headed after this, by the way?

ROBYN: I'm going to the Paramount Theater. I have a show there tonight.

COHEN: Oh, wow. OK.

COOPER: What time do you go on?

COHEN: In Brooklyn? Yeah, what time do you go on? You're good.

ROBYN: I go on at 1:00. We're going to celebrate. We're going to celebrate New Year's, meeting my fans. We're going to have a good time.

COHEN: That's awesome.

ROBYN: Yeah.

COHEN: You know, back in October, Rolling Stone put out a list of the 250 greatest songs of the 21st century so far. What did it mean to you that Dancing on My Own, which you just performed, was number six on that list?

[21:50:00]

COOPER: Incredible.

ROBYN: I can't really explain how that feels. It's a very surreal feeling to have a song that you -- that of course means so much to me. And then it took on a whole other meaning. It's like it's become -- it's not mine anymore. It's like my fans' song almost.

COHEN: Yeah.

ROBYN: And to have it recognized like that is amazing, especially in a country like this where so much of the music that I grew up on is coming from.

COHEN: Yeah. I know you have a new single out, Dopamine. Do you have -- can we expect more music beyond that?

ROBYN: Very soon.

COHEN: Very soon.

ROBYN: A lot, a lot of new music is going to come.

COHEN: Oh, that's good.

ROBYN: But I can't say more than that. Sorry.

COHEN: What's your New Year's resolution for next year? Do you have one?

ROBYN: I don't have no New Year's.

COHEN: No. You're not a big resolution lady.

ROBYN: I think life is fleeting, you never know --

COHEN: Yeah.

ROBYN: -- what happens?

COHEN: Yes.

ROBYN: It's hard to make promises.

COHEN: Yeah.

ROBYN: What about you?

COHEN: My resolution is to spend less time on my phone, which is my resolution every year.

ROBYN: It's a good one.

COHEN: Yeah, it is a good one. What -- do you have a resolution?

COOPER: I don't make -- like you, I don't make New Year's resolution. I resolve every day to be a better human being. So --

COHEN: How's that going?

COOPER: I don't know. COHEN: No, you're working progress. I want to go -- I want to talk to you about Robyn's mixtape. OK. I want to know your favorite song from 2025.

ROBYN: My favorite song would be -- like a new song from this year?

COHEN: Yeah. Yeah.

ROBYN: I think it probably is 405, with Justin Bieber.

COHEN: Yeah.

ROBYN: Yeah. It's very sexy.

COHEN: Yeah. Who is your favorite artist from 2025?

ROBYN: McGee.

COHEN: OK.

ROBYN: Just an amazing artist. Love it so much. The music is great.

COHEN: Did you have a favorite place to perform in 2025?

ROBYN: New York.

COHEN: New York?

ROBYN: New York.

COHEN: Yes.

ROBYN: Tonight.

COHEN: OK. So this was a big thing. People felt like there was not a song of the summer this summer. Did you feel like there was a song of the summer?

ROBYN: I mean, I have a song of the summer, but it's not from this year.

COHEN: OK, well, what is it?

ROBYN: It's called Practice with an artist from Trinidad called -- no, yeah, he's called GBM Nutron.

COHEN: OK.

ROBYN: And the song is called Practice.

COHEN: OK.

ROBYN: I've been dancing to it all year.

COHEN: OK.

ROBYN: Summer. Summer song.

COHEN: All right. What artists should people start paying attention to next year, do you think? Is there someone that deserves more notice?

ROBYN: Yes. Her name is Zhala (ph). She's from Sweden. She's a good friend of mine.

COOPER: Zhala.

ROBYN: Zhala. Yeah, check her out.

COHEN: All right.

ROBYN: Beautiful.

COHEN: Besides Dancing on My Own, is there a song of yours that absolutely gets people going insane always?

ROBYN: For New Year's.

COHEN: No, for anything.

ROBYN: For anything.

COHEN: When you're -- by the way, I saw you at SNL 50. You were unbelievable.

ROBYN: I mean. Yes. Oh, amazing. How good was that whole show?

It was so good.

COOPER: One after. But you were, like, out of the park. Yeah. So good.

ROBYN: There were so many amazing people there. And I got to perform with David Byrne --

COHEN: I know that was --

COOPER: Yes, amazing.

COHEN: That was the perfect pairing.

COOPER: Yes, yes.

COHEN: Yeah.

COOPER: I did a profile of him for 60 Minutes. He's incredible. I love the variety of stuff he does.

ROBYN: Yeah. And what he contributed to music.

COOPER: Oh, incredible.

COHEN: So you go on at 1:00 in Brooklyn.

ROBYN: I go out at 1:00. Yeah. COHEN: All right. How long will your set be?

ROBYN: Well, I mean, I don't want to give all those.

COHEN: Yeah, OK. Yeah, that's fine.

ROBYN: But I can --

COHEN: Gee, Andy took it all away.

(CROSSTALK)

ROBYN: I think --

COHEN: It took the mystery away.

ROBYN: Yeah.

(CROSSTALK)

ROBYN: I just think New Year's is the more --

COOPER: Stuck in 2025. I'm sick of it.

ROBYN: Still going. Yeah. I mean, New Year's is the most existential day of the year.

COOPER: It is. Yes.

COHEN: Yes.

ROBYN: Like, whatever you do -- even if you decide to stay home, that's also going to mean something.

COOPER: Yes.

COHEN: Yeah. Yeah.

ROBYN: And so I'm just excited. Like, I feel like the audience that's going to come and see me, I feel like I'm getting to see them. You know, like, live through this amazing moment. So the show is going to be trying to channel that and just make it a beautiful evening.

COOPER: I love it.

COHEN: All right, well, my hope for 2026 is more Robyn music.

COOPER: Yes.

COHEN: It's so cool to meet you. I've been a fan of yours for so long.

ROBYN: So happy you.

COHEN: Thank you for coming up and talking to us. Absolutely.

ROBYN: Thank you. COHEN: Thank you, Robyn. Hey, if you're in New York City and you can try to snag, go to the Paramount Theater, see if you can grab her in four hours.

Coming up next, RAYE performs her hit song as we get ready for another top of the hour toast. But first, a special message from the subject of the new CNN film Tomorrow.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHEVY CHASE, AMERICAN COMEDIAN AND ACTOR: Oh, hi, Andy and Anderson, Happy New Year's to you guys. Anyway, there's a show coming up, let me think, tomorrow on New Year's Day called "I'm Chevy Chase And You're Not," and it's my documentary. It's very funny. It's a special that it's, by the way, a documentary on me and how I've made people laugh. I've made money, honey.

[21:55:00]

Happy New Year's to you guys. I love what you do, whatever that is.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

COHEN: All right. It is snowing in Times Square. We're going to go to London were Grammy nominated British singer, songwriter and producer RAYE is performing her big hit. Her global tour kicks off in January. Take it, RAYE.

(RAYE SINGING)
