KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Well, the Avalanche and Devils are battling for a huge hunk of silver known as the Stanley Cup. Most people see the cup when the winners take it on a tour of the rink, but where does the Stanley Cup go when it's not being passed around by the latest winners? Let's take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let's do it.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let's rock.

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Is that the real thing?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: That's the real thing.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Oh, man! What are you doing with it?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: I'm the guy that looks after it.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You don't look like you play hockey.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: I don't. I work for the Hockey Hall of Fame.

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: People have to realize, anytime you see the Stanley Cup outside the Hall of Fame, you can guarantee it's the real thing.

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE POLICE OFFICER: Wow, that's something. I wonder how much beer was poured in that. That's beautiful.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: I talk to it, not that I'm going crazy or anything. But I go, hey, Stan, you know, what's going on, or kind of just shock people the way I talk, you know, short form, Stan, you know, I figured we're on a short name basis, you know, we hang out so much together. UNIDENTIFIED MALE CARRIAGE DRIVER: Over the years, a lot of wonderful people, just recently Kim Delaney from "NYPD Blue." Way back when, Liberace. A lot of people over the years.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: And now the Stanley Cup.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE CARRIAGE DRIVER: And now the Stanley Cup.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: Which one is prettier: Kim Delaney or the Stanley Cup?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE CARRIAGE DRIVER: Kim, forgive me. I'm going to have to go with the Stanley Cup. It's a different kind of pretty.

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: You want to give it a little kiss?

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: You got to wonder how the Mona Lisa did this.

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: Been to Tokyo with it. Been to Stockholm, Sweden with it. New York City. The Bahamas. I got a really cool picture with Stanley Cup lying in a sun chair and Stanley is in one chair, I'm in the other, kind of lying back. Hardest working guy in hockey.

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: Hey, it's New Jersey. Stan, that look familiar over there? Continental Airlines, that's where you were last year.

You know what that is, don't you? That's Madison Square Garden right down there. We don't get there very often.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE CITY EMPLOYEE: I'm not going to drop it, I swear boss.

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE WITH STANLEY CUP: You know, like, I fly into New York and Newark all the time. You don't see it like this. This is awesome. Other than an airplane, this is probably the highest Stanley's ever been. It's quite the view.

(MUSIC)
