KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: We've been talking about it all morning; $141 million sitting there, a jackpot nobody was claiming in the California lottery. However, we have word now that somebody did call in and reveal that they had the winning numbers. Dave Rosenberg, chairman of the California State Lottery is on the line with us.
So, Dave, did this happen just today?
DAVE ROSENBERG, CHAIRMAN, CALIFORNIA STATE LOTTERY: Last night we picked the winning numbers and our computers tell us we have one winning ticket. We actually, Kyra, don't know who the winner is, yet. We know we've sold a winning ticket and we know it was sold in -- I hate to break the suspense, because everyone is holding their ticket -- it was sold in San Jose, California.
PHILLIPS: San Jose, California.
ROSENBERG: And we have to wait. Hopefully the winner will check it out and call in soon.
PHILLIPS: Oh, OK. So, basically this individual could be watching CNN right now and understand and running to their purse or car and pull that ticket out that they bought in San Jose.
ROSENBERG: Gee, I hope so, because if they don't claim their prize, the money all reverts to education. By the way, education, which is our beneficiary in California, received about $80 million from this row of jackpots.
PHILLIPS: Well, Dave, I grew up in California and I know how much education is so important and needs those millions of dollars. So, we'll see what happens and we'll stay in touch with you. Thanks so much, Dave Rosenberg.
ROSENBERG: You've got it.
PHILLIPS: All right.
