PHILLIPS: All right, so what are you going to wear tonight to the Oscars?

O'BRIEN: I've got some $6 million sweat pants coming over. My stylist is bringing them over, and I'm going to wear them with my $1 million Brooks shoes, running shoes, that is. And I think I'll look mighty swell. Don't you?

PHILLIPS: You still run in Brooks. Boy, you are old.

O'BRIEN: I love my Brook shoes. I stick with some shoes (UNINTELLIGIBLE). That came across as an endorsement. That is not

(CROSSTALK)

PHILLIPS: We got to be careful. This is very unbiased. We're going to remember some of the highlights from last year as tonight's nominees face the biggest decision they'll have to make in a very long time.

O'BRIEN: Well they look like $1 million. We know that now. We know why.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

O'BRIEN: All right, it's a Tom Green (ph) slam-dunk at the Golden Razzies Awards (ph). Green's (ph) "Freddy Got Fingered" won the worst picture, worst actor, worst director.

PHILLIPS: Worst title.

O'BRIEN: And worst title, worst screenplay, and you know about the Razzies (ph). This is the un-Oscar thing. And poor Mariah Carey. She's had a tough year. We should leave her alone, but just so you know, the Razzies (ph) picked her as the worst actress for "Glitter". Yet another forgettable flick.

PHILLIPS: All right, well shortly after the stars dress up, some will be dressed down.

O'BRIEN: And in Hollywood where perception is indeed reality, clothes can make or mar (ph) the star.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE) HALLE BERRY: You know I love fashion. I love clothes. I love dressing up. So that's the fun of it.

NICOLE KIDMAN: I'm wearing an outfit by (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Richard Tyler (ph). (UNINTELLIGIBLE)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We like to think of it as Hollywood's red runway.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It's a huge frenzy. I mean it can little make a designer. I mean it's really the most visible runway that they have to you know the population.

KIDMAN: I'm wearing (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Nicole wears (UNINTELLIGIBLE). I mean she's got the body for it.

KIDMAN: But I'm quite lucky because I sort of have a relationship with a couple of designers and that's basically who I -- who I go to at a time like this.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: She loves to wear things corseted. She loves things cut out, definitely always wears a lot of black.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Most of the nominees, you know, (UNINTELLIGIBLE) Halle Berry, for example, these are women that already have their fashion place. We know that Halle is going to wear something probably in chiffon.

Renee wears a lot of Vintage. She wore that wonderful yellow dress last year and she also wears some Ralph Lauren. So that's ultimately a designer that might be vying for her attention.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Definitely Jennifer Connelly is Oscar's fashion darling. I mean that she is most certainly the one that most people are trying to claim or to dress, surely because this is her big moment. This can sort of make or break her fashion wise.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The glamour side of the Academy Awards is that it's sort of nice to celebrate it. As a girl it's kind of fun to go, you know, let's get dressed up and celebrate the -- that part of it.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And I guess when the day comes, I'll wear just whatever you know I feel is right.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: If somebody looks wonderful, and these are logged in our Oscar memories, you know, you're going to think of a certain Oscar year or a certain Oscar winner by the dress that she wears.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

O'BRIEN: All right now as we discovered, those celebs don't have to pay for those fancy gowns there, but if they did, would they be deductible, is the question.

PHILLIPS: Well that's a very good question.

O'BRIEN: I don't know.

PHILLIPS: Well you have 22 days -- 22 days, I guess -- 22 nights in which to complete your taxes. Yes, April 15th is but three weeks from tomorrow.

O'BRIEN: So if you're starving out there in Hollywood, you know going over your taxes before the Oscars, send in your e-mails now because we'll have a little segment for you shortly. Taxes for dummies, and how to get your act together for the tax season, which is coming in 21 days.
