THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED. KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: We do continue -- we're going to continue covering the most recent bombing attack that happened on the port city of Haifa. Our Jerusalem bureau chief, Mike Hanna, I understand has some new information for us.
Mike, I know that you continue to work new information and your sources. What do you have for us right now?
MIKE HANNA, JERUSALEM BUREAU CHIEF: Well, Kyra, we have police saying that at least 12 people have been killed in this attack. Well, over 30 people have been wounded. There have been two separate claims of responsibility, too for what police say was a suicide bomb attack.
One claim from the militant Hamas movement made in a phone call to CNN in Gaza. Another claim made to news agencies by the militant Islamic Jihad organization. Not unusual to get a series of claims in the wake of such terror attacks. We have had this kind of process before. Once again, we have seen as well Islamic Jihad and Hamas working in tandem in a number of terror attacks that have taken place.
But what we do have at this stage, at least 12 people killed in this latest terror attack in the Israeli port city of Haifa. Well over 30 people injured. Police say a man detonating an explosive device in a crowded restaurant. The violence continues. The death of innocent civilians continues, too Kyra.
PHILLIPS: All right, our Mike Hanna live from Jerusalem there. We'll continue to check in with you throughout the next couple of hours.
