KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Now to Wimbledon, where there's a newly crowned woman's champion and there will soon be a new men's champ. CNN's Jim Boulden live outside the center court for us.
Hi, Jim.
JIM BOULDEN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hi, Kyra. Good morning. Yes, it is day 13 of the Wimbledon's 116th championships, and of course that means men's singles final day, and Australia's Lleyton Hewitt will be going for his first Wimbledon title. Of course, he is world's number one, so he is heavily favored to win this. He has 15 singles titles to his name already, so Hewitt is obviously the one who everyone is looking at.
A lot of the American players were knocked out early, so Hewitt hasn't had too much trouble getting here to Center Court. It will be a very big day for him, and he is also Australia's, of course, best tennis player. But he's going up against the only 28th seed. Now, David Nalbandian is from Argentina. He's a man you might not know.
He said to his mother earlier he'd probably get knocked out in the first week, he'd be home watching the finals. But instead he's playing his first game here in Center Court. He never came to Wimbledon before. He's the first man to make it to the finals in his first attempt at Wimbledon. Now Nalbandian is only seeded 28. He's only made $470,000 in his time in the tour, so he's very unknown.
He says it's a huge day for him, and lots of people in Argentina have turned to him looking for some support. The country's had some trouble lately, so he is really the top man in Argentina at this time -- Kyra.
PHILLIPS: All right, Jim, big focus yesterday was on the Williams' sisters. What are they doing today?
BOULDEN: Well, believe it or not, they have to play another match today. Because of rain delays, their semifinals was yesterday. It's unusual for the women's doubles to be today. Remember, of course, Serena beat her older sister Venus yesterday in the singles, but then right after that they had to play a doubles match together.
They beat their opponent. Today on Center Court right here after the Lleyton Hewitt match, they will play for the doubles final. So the Williams' sisters come out again, their third match in 24 hours. They're playing the second seed. The Williams sisters are third seeded, so that match might be a lot closer than the men's singles final -- Kyra.
PHILLIPS: All right, Jim Boulden, live from Wimbledon. Thanks, Jim.
