Final Game of World Series Played Tonight

HEIDI COLLINS, CNN ANCHOR: Tonight's the final game of the World Series. The Angels forced a seventh game with a very dramatic comeback, their win last night. CNN's Josie Karp joins us now live from Anaheim with more.
Hi, Josie.
KARP: Hey, Heidi. You know after game six, you have to wonder what's in store for game seven because last night the Angels came back from five runs down. It was the largest comeback by a team facing elimination in World Series history. And you look at this series -- we keep talking about the low ratings and how no one's watching, but it's really offered something for everyone. There have been four one- run games combined the two teams who have hit a World Series record 21 home runs. And even those people on the inside, even the ones playing in this World Series are having trouble coming up with the words to describe what they are witnessing.

REGGIE SANDERS, SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS: The series has been very weird. There's been a lot of runs scoring. You know you think five runs is enough, especially in the World Series but that cushion, time and time again, has been easier to catch up with.
DARIN ERSTAD, ANAHEIM ANGELS: He told us in spring training that we would have to win two games at home to win the World Series out of taken our chances. So you know we just approach it just like that. You know there's no pressure. You just go out there and play.

KARP: We all know that if San Francisco wins this World Series, there is very little doubt that Barry Bonds will be the MVP, but who knows what's going to happen in this game tonight. So we've got to kind of look and see, well, who would be in that role for the Angels and it has to be the first baseman, Scott Spiezio. He's not a big superstar like Barry Bonds, but he has played like a superstar in the postseason. And he's hit like a superstar, especially with runners in scoring position. For the entire postseason, he's batting over .700 in that situation. He's four for five in the World Series with runners in scoring position.
And Spiezio has a little bit of an interesting story. He is the son of a former Major Leaguer and he said last night that over and over and over again in his youth, his dad took him out to the backyard and put him in situations, threw the ball to him and said, "Hey, it's the World Series. All the pressure is on you. How are you going to handle it? How are you going to handle it?" And he said he was even thinking about that when he came up to the plate and got his big hit and he said, "Hey, it really worked" -- Heidi.
