BRIAN NELSON, CNN ANCHOR: Well, it is July and it is the weekend, so if you're planning to hit the beach any time soon today, don't forget to bring your pail and shovel.
KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: And if you've got enough sand and enough time, you can build something of record proportions.

DAMON GREEN, ITN REPORTER (voice-over): It's taken 50 people three weeks, but they finally managed it, the world's biggest sand castle, though its creators prefer to call it a sand sculpture.
MARJON KATEBERG, DESIGNER: Well, sometimes you get the opportunity to have such an amount of sand, 60 million kilos of sand is brought here, and then you can make something really, really big. So I'm happy.
GREEN: Its Dutch creators were delighted at smashing the previous record. At over 20 meters, or nearly 70 feet, high, their sand castle's decorated with sculptures from top to bottom in what designers call a "fairy tale" theme.
But one of their main tasks has been to keep the sand wet, just to stop it from falling apart. They're already planning their next scheme, to build a landscape full of dinosaurs just from sand. And while proud of today's achievement, the new record-holders do expect their feat to be topped just as soon as their rivals can find a bucket and spade that's big enough.
Damon Green, ITN.
