RHONDA ROWLAND, CNN MEDICAL CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Whether for business or pleasure, some people view traveling as an excuse to take a vacation not only from home, but from healthy eating and exercising. But for other more health conscious individuals, an unwelcome kink in their fitness routine is just not an option.

Troy Schroeder (ph), managing director of the Omni Hotel in Atlanta, has noticed more travelers are choosing where to stay based on fitness opportunities a hotel has to offer.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think the traveling public is getting more and more health conscious every day and I think they're always looking for those opportunities to stay healthy, to continue to eat right, to do all the things that they do while they're at home that they want to continue to do while they're traveling.

ROWLAND: In an effort to cater to the growing number of health conscious travelers, Omni Hotels have created a program to give guests the opportunity to exercise in the privacy of their own room. Upon request, a get fit kit is delivered to a guest's room free of charge for the duration of their stay. The kit includes a mat, elastic exercise bands for resistance training, a set of dumbbells and a pamphlet with exercise instructions. While working out with the kit will not make body builders out of hotel guests, it does offer them the tools to help maintain a healthy fitness level while away from home.

For "Feeling Fit," I'm Rhonda Rowland.
