KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: After 100 days straight of nothing but ups and downs, what do you think you get? How about a 15th straight world roller-coaster record?
FRANK BUCKLEY, CNN ANCHOR: Well, wonder what kind of a guy would do such a thing or what he thinks about?
Tim Ezell of our St. Louis, Missouri affiliate KTVI tried to get the champ to open up.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
TIM EZELL, KTVI REPORTER: We are on the bus with the coaster king Richard Rodriguez, day 100. You've been asked tons of questions, I'm sure, the whole time you've been here.
RICHARD RODRIGUEZ: Right.
EZELL: Why am I doing this, you know? Am I ever going to do it again? But we wanted to get in to know the real Richard Rodriguez, get to know you a little better. You know, you're a college professor. You're working on your doctorate, so we'll get into little deeper questions, if that's all right with you.
RODRIGUEZ: Absolutely. I welcome it.
EZELL: I think pertinently what's in the news right now, what is your opinion on the whole stem cell research thing?
RODRIGUEZ: Well...
(NOISE)
EZELL: What do you -- who wrote the book of love?
(NOISE)
RODRIGUEZ: I thought you would agree on that.
EZELL: What do you think really happened? What is the real story behind the rift between Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman? What do you think really happened?
RODRIGUEZ: I was hoping you'd ask me about that. I -- (NOISE) hope their careers go on.
EZELL: How do you keep your hair so nice?
(NOISE)
EZELL: Because I like the way, your look is the best.
RODRIGUEZ: Well, I like your look, too.
EZELL: Thanks for letting us get to know the real Richard Rodriguez.
RODRIGUEZ: Thank you. I've enjoyed it.
EZELL: Questions you'll only hear answered right here on Fox 2. Incredible. Incredible. George Bush should call you.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
PHILLIPS: Again, that's Tim Ezell of KTVI. We thank him for taking us along for that very philosophical ride.
BUCKLEY: Man, I didn't hear anything he said, but very interesting.
PHILLIPS: Deep discussion.
BUCKLEY: Very deep, yes.
